“Why do you wait at your door, woman,
Alone in the night?”
“I am waiting for one who will come, stranger,
To show him a light.
He will see me afar on the road
And be glad at the sight.”
.
“Have you no fear in your heart, woman,
To stand there alone?
There is comfort for you and kindly content
Beside the hearthstone.”
But she answered, “No rest can I have
Till I welcome my own.”
.
“Is it far he must travel to-night,
This man of your heart?”
“Strange lands that I know not and pitiless seas
Have kept us apart,
And he travels this night to his home
Without guide, without chart.”
.
“And has he companions to cheer him?”
“Aye, many,” she said.
“The candles are lighted, the hearthstones are swept,
The fires glow red.
We shall welcome them out of the night—
Our home-coming dead.”

Monday – Day of Emotions ( Day of the Moon )
Monday Magick Power Hours: Moonrise. Key Words:
Magick, dreams, health, love, home and family In the word Monday, we can see
part of the word Moon. In the romance languages such as Italian or Spanish,
this day of the week is called Lunes and clearly relates to the word lunar.
On Mondays, a variety of magick may be worked.
Because Monday centers on the energies of the Moon, things like psychism,
dreams, feminine energy, health, success in spiritual pursuits, domestic
matters, and things of family origin are especially important this day.
Mondays are best for love magick and anything concerning home or family,
thus old saying, Mondays child is fair of face, which seems clearly to
relate to the themes of love and health.
Angels of Monday are Gabriel, Arcan, Missabu, and Abuzaha. Arcan is known as
the king of the angels of air and the “ruler” of Monday. Abuzaha (Abuzohar)
serves Monday, and is very responsive to invocations and ritual magick.

Be Brave
Spell Date:  Sunday, October 23, 2016
Every autumn, I grieve the end of swimming season. October 23 is the latest I have ever swum in Lake Ontario. To truly swim, one’s crown chakra must fully submerge. Brrr.
Each of us has our own ways of challenging and strengthening ourselves—marathons, polar dips, elaborate tasks. In his Language of Mastery series, Robert Tennyson Stevens teaches how to “use” fear as motivation toward faith and courage. We can transform fear. Today, be brave. Meditate.
Sit in a safe place. Breathe deeply and sink into a meditative state. Look at what you fear: poverty, illness, violence, threats, your history, etc. Feel fear grip you. Now lengthen your breath, and transform the energy. Say:
With this energy, I feed my fire, growing
strong and courageous. Where once
was fear, now lives faith. I felt afraid,
but found my courage. Fear transformed
into faith and courage. I am brave.

Spell of the Spider Woman
Spell Date:  Saturday, October 22, 2016
;;
Two of the most different signs in the zodiac lie right next to each other: Libra and Scorpio. Some astrology historians say there used to be a thirteenth sign—the Spider Woman—in between Libra and Scorpio. Libra, ruled by Venus, is associated with balance, sociability, and a love of beauty, romance, and relationships. Scorpio, ruled by Mars and Pluto, is associated with intensity, focus, solitude, loyalty, sexuality, and force of will. The Spider Woman bridges these divergent qualities.
Find an image of a woman and one of a spider, and place them on your altar; they may be realistic or magical. Each day for a week, move these images closer together until they are lying on top of each another, and think about bridging these opposing qualities in your own life. Can your intensity be balanced with a love of beauty for a more lighthearted energy? Can your fierce loyalty be balanced with sociability?

An Autumn Spell for Banishing and Balancing
Spell Date:  Friday, October 21, 2016
;
As the leaves change color and fall around us, we are reminded that pieces of ourselves that no longer serve us must die. So what’ll it be? Perhaps a wallowing sense of sadness that’s a residual from childhood? Maybe a streak of anger that you can’t seem to break? A bad habit or constant pessimism?
In addition to exploring emotionally therapeutic routes, such as art, counseling, healthy diet, and exercise, you can create a bit of magick to help usher out these forces during the glory of the dying season.
Simply gather a handful of fallen leaves and write negative things on them that summarize these sensations. These can be pictures, symbols, words, or short sentences—get creative! One by one, carefully burn these dead leaves with the flame of a black candle while declaring:
.
I release you now, this autumntide.
So mote it be.

Memento Mori Meditation
Spell Date:  Wednesday, October 19, 2016
:
The skull is symbolic of our shared condition; it is the casing of the brain, the mortal shell that houses the immortal soul. Replicas and images of human skulls are meditative tools that can help us connect to the spirit world, and they are plentiful in many shops at this time of year.
Place a model or image of a skull at your bedside, along with your book of shadows or a journal. Before you sleep, ground and center, then gaze into the skull’s eyes and speak this gravestone incantation:
.
“Look into my eyes and know,
Beyond this world we all must go.
Whisper now from where you be,
What messages do you have for me?”
.
Record any dreams or visions that come to you in the night. Did you make a connection?

A Spell to Remember Dreams
Spell Date:  Thursday, October 20, 2016
.
If you want to learn to remember your dreams better, one of the easiest ways involves only a bottle of water, a marker, and a pen and notebook. Write the word “remember” on the bottle of water with the marker. Keep this bottle of water only for your dream work. Last thing before your head hits the pillow at night, take a sip of the water. First thing in the morning, before you are completely awake, take another sip of the water, then immediately start recording what you remember from your dreams in the notebook. With practice, you will find that you recall more and more from your dreams. Your dreams speak an intimate and personal language just for you, and over time you can start to learn and understand what they are trying to teach you.

Spell to Succeed in School
Spell Date:  Tuesday, October 18, 2016
.
Buy some yellow beeswax sheets and roll a thick pillar candle in which you’ve sprinkled rose oil and very lightly sprinkled rosemary and sage (you don’t want the herbs to catch fire—I speak from experience!),or make an oil of the herbs (sunflower or almond oil is a good base) and add the rose oil for anointing a purchased yellow pillar.
First, you may wish to carve the purchased candle, or do cutouts or add-ons on the last layer of the beeswax candle with symbols of wisdom and mental power. Just for fun, sprinkle the candle with yellow or gold glitter, to remind you of the sun god and/or sparks of illumination. Then hold the candle in your hands and say:
.
“I’m smart and wise, and I remember
ALL that I learn!”
.
Anoint the candle from the top down, to pull in energy. Light the candle every time you study. For an added boost on test days, you may want to use some of the oil on yourself. Best of luck in school!

Heartwings Love Notes 747:  An Appropriate Costume
.
Heartwings says, “Transition from one form to another is merely change.”
.
Halloween costumes will soon proliferate as children roam the sidewalks for trick or treat. Dressed as ghosts, scarecrows, or pirates or masked as the current political figures the wearers follow a tradition that goes back many centuries. Halloween in the United States is in some respects similar to the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead. It comes from a long tradition of honoring those who have moved on from their bodies to the wider life of the spirit.
.
There are remnants of the element of fear from that time, however they are no longer taken seriously. It was once thought that the spirits of the dead could inflict harm or at least return in some way to communicate with the living on October 31. It is an ancient belief that on that night the veil between this world and the next is thin. In days gone by some hoped to consult spirits of the dead at that time, believing they could tell where treasure was buried, or what the future held. Some of the games and traditions of this time are connected to that belief.
.
My grandmother passed on when I was in college and hers was the first dead body I ever saw. It did not frighten me. She was prepared for burial and set out in her living room prior to the funeral the next day. I was staying at the house and went in that evening by myself to see her. As I approached her body I realized that wasn’t really my grandmother. Observing the body I saw that it was just clothes she had worn once and now no longer needed. Death did not then nor does it now seem to me to be something of which to be frightened. Life is more than a physical experience.
.
Halloween costumes can serve as a reminder that there is little to fear from the transition called death. A change of clothing is appropriate to a change of form. Just as I can’t fit into my baby garments or the clothes I wore for my first day of school, I can expect someday to outgrow this body, and to discard it for clothing suitable for the form I will then inhabit. While the unknown is always a little unnerving to contemplate, whatever happens whether in this life or the next is an adventure to which I look forward.
.
May you find nothing to fear in life, and everything to anticipate with joy.
.
Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert

Magee Goes Trick or Treat
Chapter 3
.
The next morning while Sippi was going through her mail, a tall lanky young man with freckles and a red crew cut strode into her office. He saw me, leaned over, and petted me. “Hi Magee. I’m Dick Pride, reporter from the paper.”
I wagged my tail.
Sippi looked up. “Hi,” she said. “I’m Detective Bopp.  Are you hungry? You look like you haven’t had any breakfast.”
“Starbucks,” he grinned. “Triple Espresso and a cheese Danish.”
She had to laugh. “Sorry but to me you look emaciated.”
“Oh no,” he smiled. “I eat all the time. It just burns. You’re related to Bea Bopp, the chanteuse who’s visiting here in town? To me she’s better than Tina Turner.”
Sippi grinned. “That’s my Aunt Bea. My mother’s sister.”
“Could I meet her and set up an interview?”
Sippi smiled. “Come over to the Inn this Saturday night. She’s having a party. Lot’s of good folk from around here will be there. You could meet her then.”
“Thanks. I will!”  He took his device from his bag and opened it. “Can you tell me anything about this missing woman?” He leaned against Sippi’s desk and hitched his hip up onto it. “I’ve her photo but need a little fill.”
Sippi shook her head. “Sorry, can’t help you.”
Then he looked at me. “Did you find her body Magee?”
I wagged my tail and wondered if he’d once had a dog. He struck me more as a cat person.
“You’ll enjoy meeting Aunt Bea. I’m sure if she likes you she’ll bend your ears into the wee small hours. She loves to reminisce.”
“What brings her here to town so close to Halloween. Coincidental?”
Sippi smiled. She felt like she wanted to take him out and buy him a proper breakfast. “When she was young her gospel choir went on tour. They sang here at the Baptist Church. She made good friends and thought about settling down but something compelled her to go to California instead, and make it as a blues singer.”
He nodded. “And what brings her here now?”
She had open dates in her schedule and decided to come back and have a party. That’s typical Aunt Bea.”
“Makes sense. Thanks for inviting me.” Then in the same breath, “What about the other body discovered that night. The MO said John Doe. The missing woman is listed as Jane Doe. Don’t suppose they were together? Maybe a couple?”
“Haven’t got a clue,” Sippi said. “Besides anything like that would be classified until the conclusion of the investigation. But we appreciate the paper publishing the photo. That might help.”
He smiled. “Why is it that I feel there’s something buttoned up around here, like mum’s the word?”
Sippi chose her words carefully. “It’s always like that in police stations.”
He smiled ruefully. “I may be young and green but I grew up around law and order. My dad and his three brothers were cops in Philadelphia. I learned to tell when their minds were occupied with a big case.”
“How so?” She wondered if he had a girlfriend.
“Nobody at home said word one. Dad always considered every aspect of evidence in his case. Paid no attention to anything else, much less to me or mom.” He laughed and turned to me. “Like it is around here Magee. You catch murderers don’t you.”
I looked into his eyes and in my mind I saw a picture of him as a boy caring for his pet turtle.
“Let’s keep it low key about Magee,” Sippi said. “He gets plenty of attention as it is.”
He stretched out his legs. “So what’s Chief Mallory really like? “My editor Charley Smiles calls him one of the last of the old school cops. Said he’s a throw back to J. Edgar, Elliot Ness and the Untouchables.”
Sippi laughed, shrugged. “Not sure how.”
“He knows him pretty well; during the summer they go fishing a lot.” He shut off his device and slipped it into his brown messenger bag. “Charley says he’s the sort of old school cop who shoots first and asks questions later.”
“Not Chief Mallory,” Sippi assured him. “Whomever he shoots first won’t be around to answer any questions, that I can assure you.”
He reached down and petted me, stood up and grinned at Sippi. “I’ll be around.”
“That be nice,” Sippi smiled.
He stood by the door. “But if you get an ID on John Doe I’d appreciate a heads up.”
“Sure,” Sippi said. “Anytime.”
All his jumping around had made us both nervous.
“Even for a reporter, Magee, that boy asks way too many questions.”
I wagged my tail and wondered if next time he’d bring treats.
Then Raven came into Sippi’s office. He petted me, slid out of his black leather coat, threw it over my chair and placed three thick files on her desk.
“Here’s everything relevant from the last sixty years: cults, weirdo’s, gangs. Did you know that back during Viet Nam there was a motorcycle gang here in town called The Headless Horsemen?”
Sippi frowned. “You expect me to read all this?”
“I thought we could review them together. You know, sit by a nice roaring
fire, have some bubbly, make a night of it. What do you say?”
“I don’t say! You review them. I’ve got enough on my plate right now, at least a dozen cases to bring to closure before they go to trial.” She sighed.   “Please, Raven, don’t give me that little boy lost look. Remember sweetheart, I’ve been there, done that, bought the souvenirs.”
“Do you know the trouble I went through getting this stuff?”
“That’s between you and whatever interns you sweet talked into assembling it for you.”
He frowned. “Wasn’t that easy. But listen, those Headless Horsemen were crazies: riding around weeks before Halloween, flinging burning jack o’ lanterns on people’s lawns, decapitating pets. Caused quite a stir.
“Why don’t you share all this with Aunt Bea. I’m sure she finds stuff like this fascinating.” She pushed the folders back at him.
But Raven wouldn’t quit. “They did lots of weird stuff, mostly vandalism– desecrated graves, picked fights, grabbed women and rode off with them.  Went on like this every year until Nixon resigned. Then they faded into the woodwork.”
“Sound like anti war hippies with an attitude.”
“Worse than that. Anyway, I think we should check them out you, me and Magee. Last known address was a homestead on Lost Mountain Road.”
“Sounds like a wild goose chase, Raven. If it was during Viet Nam that’s nearly sixty years ago.”
“Wonder if that’s where Chief Mallory came up with his quip about Headless Horsemen? I wonder if he knew about them?”
She looked at Raven. ” You could always ask him. Want to be really helpful?”
His eyes lit up. He smiled. “Sure, anything,”
“Then walk Magee for me. “I’ve still got calls to make and a schedule of cases to get ready for court.” She pulled a small baggie from her desk drawer together with a couple of spiced shrimp balls and handed them to him along with my leash.

Samhain Meditation – Phoenix Rising

From:  The Wiccan Year

As we honor the dead on Samhain, it is important to acknowledge the intensity of emotion that comes with confronting death.  Use this meditation if you are confronting grief, or another emotional situation that requires insight and compassion.  Sit comfortably and close your eyes.  Ground and center your energy.  Breathe rhythmically as you imagine yourself in a topiary garden, standing among tall hedges.

  • Beneath your feet is the soft earth, blanketed with the tender green of lush grass.  You wander among carefully trimmed bushes with leaves so dense that you cannot see through the hedges.  They are unusually tall, and you cannot see over them.  You cannot tell where one ends and another begins.  It is as if living walls surround you.
  • You take cautious steps along a turning path that does not seem to end.  Time feels suspended.  Each step could be a hundred steps, and you feel as though you have been wandering far too long.  If you have made any progress at all finding your way out, it is indiscernible.
  • You feel lost and confused, each new direction looking exactly like the turn that preceded it.  You begin to feel that you will never leave this garden.  Although it is beautiful, it is too overwhelming because your feelings of uncertainty and loss are dominant.
  • Suddenly, above your head you feel a cool breeze that gradually begins to strengthen in its intensity.  Your heart begins to pound, so loud that it seems to be outside of yourself.  You then realize that the sound is not coming from within your own body, but rather from the wind that you feel above your head.
  • You turn your gaze upwards and are amazed to learn that the sound and the wind are the beating of powerful wings.  Above you flies the form of a creature, the likes of which you have never seen.  It is a bird!  A fantastic bird, so large that the gigantic hedge seems no more than a tiny perch beneath the great expanse of its wings.
  • From its majestic wingspan, the mighty flight feathers project with a multitude of shining opalescent hues.  You see brilliant blues iridescent with shades of rose and violet.  Your eyes follow this amazing display of color to the soft down feathers at the boast of the wings.  They appear velvety and are a deep royal purple.  Elegant curling plumage like that of a bird of paradise extends to the scarlet tail feathers.
  • Your jaw drops, and the creature alights on the top of the hedge and cranes its graceful neck, folding in its wings and bringing its face very close to yours.  In its golden beak, you see the radiance of the sun itself.  The metallic color blends in with the delicate feathers of its face that range from shimmering gold to a shining yellow.  On its crest, you can see deep reds that change to bright orange and rosy pinks.  But you are most struck by the eye of the phoenix.  It looks at you so intently with eyes the color of the Mediterranean Sea; the irises are clear bright blue and watery, the pupils, only a slightly darker blue.
  • You are awestruck and mesmerized by its eyes.  You begin to see reflections appear, and you know it is because this gentle creature is feeling the uncertainty in your soul, and reflecting this back to you with kindness and compassion.
  • You see familiar images, as if you are gazing into a pool of blessed water.  Faces of loved ones.  People who have helped you in the past.  Tender memories that you had once forgotten now come alive.  The phoenix meets your gaze and sheds a glistening tear.  The tear falls over you and you are bathed in a fragrant aspersion of comforting empathy.  You realize that the phoenix is feeling what you feel.
  • On some level, in your distress you have summoned the phoenix to come to your aid, and indeed it has.  Carefully, it lifts you on to its mighty back and spreads its shimmering wings.  Together, you soar upwards through the clear blue sky, the winds of change touching your face causing tears of joy and release to stream from your eyes.  You turn your head to look down.
  • Beneath you, you see the labyrinth that you previously stumbled through, only now from your lofty vantage, you can easily see the way out.  You are free of the maze and its resolution is obvious.
  • Unexpectedly and without warning, you are standing in the garden once again.  The phoenix is high overhead and you squint your eyes against the glare of the sun.  It becomes more and more difficult to see as the sun seems to shine brighter and brighter until the fantastic bird is no longer discernible at all.
  • You can barely see its outline against the sun when suddenly it seems to erupt in a fireball so large and bright that it makes the light of the accompanying sun seem pale in comparison.  You shield your eyes and turn away, but the image seems burned into your retinas.  Every time you blink, you see the phoenix.
  • The sensation begins to fade a little, and you take your first steps.  You are confident and reassured now.  Every few steps, you see the light of the phoenix behind your eyes.  You understand that this light is leading you along the pathway out of the labyrinth.  You simply follow it.  You are on your way home.

Crystals For Your Reiki Practice
Reiki is considered an energetic, as well as a spiritual practice developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui. Reiki is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through and around us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress. If this life force is high, we are more capable of being balanced and healthy. Reiki treats the person as a whole including body, emotions, mind and spirit. Through the use of this technique, practitioners are transferring Universal energy (i.e., reiki) in the form of Ki through the palms of their hands, which allows for self-healing and a state of balance or equilibrium.
Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki, was an admirer of the literary works of the Emperor Mejii. While in the process of developing his Reiki system, Usui summarized some of the emperor’s works into a set of ethical principles, which later became known as the Five Reiki Precepts from the Buddhist teachings (against killing, thievery, sexual misconduct, lying, and intemperance). It is common for many Reiki teachers and practitioners to abide by these five precepts, or principles.
You will find crystals listed in groups, based on the Five Principles of Reiki. These groupings cover a wide range of issues relating to the emotional mind, physical body and etheric spirit! By utilizing a single crystal or combining groups of crystals, you can resolve a host of complicated problems.
1. Just for today – I will not be angry
Anger is the feeling we experience when events in our world are not going according to our plans. Anger is one of the most common and destructive delusions affecting our minds. Because it is based on an exaggeration, anger is an expression of our belief system and how we defend it. It’s as if we have an inner idea of how things, events and people should be for us. When we get angry and either feel frustrated or try to change them, we tend to give away our power! Many of us remain a victim to our tempers all of our lives. In essence, anger is the feeling we get when we want to control the world around us.
These gems offer the insight and level-headed that is appropriate for becoming more aware. When we get angry, we either feel frustrated or try to change our situation with words, therefore, we give away our power! Many of us remain a victim to our tempers all of our lives. In essence, anger is the feeling we get when we want to control the world around us. Here are helpful crystals for soothing with anger:
Apophyllite at the Crown Chakra is ever calming and reduces stress and relieves mental blockage along with negative thought patterns.
Blue Lace Agate soothes and cools anger. Use at the Throat Chakra
Blue Calcite relieves depression, lowers blood pressure and dissolves pain. Helps absorb energy.
Aventurine calms irritation. Use at the Heart Chakra
Citrine used over the Solar Plexus stops anger. Raises self esteem and self confidence.
Apatite helps to neutralize stored anger.
Red Garnet controls anger towards the self. Use at the Root Chakra
Moss Agate improves emotional imbalance and strengthens positive personality traits. It is known to transmute anger, diffusing it the longer your hold it.
Ruby in Zoisite transmutes negative, destructive anger and harmonizes the heart and lower three Chakra.
2. Just for today – I will not worry
Worry can only serve you well if you worry and recognize that a plan of action is needed, in a stressful situation and then you act on it. Sympathy and nurturing are traits that make up our personality, but excessive worry becomes a state of restlessness and agitation, producing mental uneasiness, foreshadowing, anxiety, and painful uncertainty. The “what if” syndrome is a constant pattern that is played out in the mind of someone who worries too much. The emotional aspect of earth can carry a deep sense of emptiness.
Pensiveness precedes worry. Any activity that involves a lot of mental effort will run the risk of causing disharmony, in turn causing worry and resulting in fatigue, lethargy, and inability to concentrate. Worry can only serve you well if you worry and recognize that a plan of action is needed, in a stressful situation and then you act on it. If you have trouble acting on it, consider these crystals for assistance:
Amber is a valuable resin, useful in treating pensiveness, which leads to excessive worry. It is for those who physically manifest worry into stomach anxiety and central nervous system disorders.
Citrine reduces anxiety, fear and depression. It is invigorating and positive. Develops inner calm and security and makes us less sensitive and more open to constructive criticism. Can dispel negative feelings and help us to accept the flow of events. Eases digestion and stomach tension from worry.
Hematite is a grounding stone which clears the mental stress, distractions and nervous energies surrounding your situation.
Heulandite is a stone used when dealing with small, annoying worries or troublesome details that agitate you. It helps to neutralize distressing thoughts.
Smoky Quartz helps to alleviate fear, anxiety and associated emotional depression. This “anchor stone” moderates worry, exhaustion and mood swings.
3. Just for today – I will be humbled with gratitude
Gratitude is the thanks you give yourself and others. It is the recognition that you are constantly grateful for every small blessing you receive each day. The gift of sight, a meal on your plate, a productive work day, your relationship. The possibilities are endless…and so should your gratitude be.
Gratitude Stone is any stone you carry with you, in order to bring your focus back to what you are truly humbled about in life. Gratitude stones are a reminder of all the good things we have in our life that we should be grateful for. Whenever you touch the stone, tell the stone (and essentially the Universe), something you are grateful for. This simple reminder is a powerful and effective way to bring gratitude, humility and positive thoughts into your life!
Amber aligns mental and emotional bodies via orange and yellow. Neutralizes negative energy. It is a grounding healer. Can add stability to your life.
Calcite is beneficial for sharpening mental clarity and boosting memory. Helps one draw more insight from books or personal experience by making important information easier to remember. It bring happiness to any situation.
Citrine is good problem-solving, memory, will power, optimism, confidence, self-discipline, digestion. Reduces anxiety, fear, depression and makes us less sensitive and more open to constructive criticism. Can dispel negative feelings and help us to accept the flow of events.
Moonstone honors the Goddess in all women, Soothes stress, anxiety, brings greater flexibility and flow with life. Makes one conscious of the fact that all things are part of a cycle of constant change.
Quartz is probably the most versatile multipurpose healing stone. Amplify both energy and the healing thought process and can both draw and send energy. Powerfully clears ones all Chakras and master gland for balancing.
Sunstone warms the heart and lifts/rejuvenates the spirit. Protection, life force, grounding. Brings a bright and sunny disposition. Keeps yours spirits up.
Turquoise is the most famous as an amazing over all healer for illnesses in the physical body and mental/emotional issues. Turquoise is known as a stone of protection and communication on every level.
4. Just for today – I will be and do my work, honestly
Being honest with yourself in all that you do and think is very important for you as a person. To Thy Own Self be true. You cannot fool yourself. You have to live your life and see that person looking back at in the mirror. When we are honest with ourselves it can change our life and the lives of the people around us.
Selenite promotes good business practices as well as honesty in other types of relationships.
Smoky Quartz works on our inner strength in order to convey our honesty. It allows us the right to be forthwith, accurate and truthful in presenting our reality as we see it. It helps us to reveal what we know and believe.
Quartz is a master healing stone, therefore it works to amplify other crystals when paired together. Quartz will strengthen their energies and healing abilities. It can help in situations where other’s “vampire energy” is draining, as it enhances spiritual growth and releases harmonious vibrations.
Tiger’s Eye offers prosperity, protection, and practicality. Tiger’s Eye enhances good luck, integrity and willpower. It helps guide your choices in a positive direction to achieve great success, through the inner fire of honesty and hard work.
Carnelian unleash your creative fire, with courage, in order to be honest and embrace your individuality. It will banish the feelings of sorrow, anger, jealousy, and fear. It can also balance the energies of others around you.
5. Just for today – I will be kind and compassionate
Compassion is a virtue, one in which the emotional capacities of empathy and sympathy (for the suffering of others) are regarded as a part of love itself, and a cornerstone of greater social interconnection and humanism – foundation to the highest principles in philosophy, society, and thy self.
Amazonite is a great stone for communication, confidence and leadership. Reduces self-damaging behavior, increases self-respect, grace, self-assuredness with communication…therefore, it is a stone for trust. This hope stone is important to have when starting a new business or financial venture.
Aventurine is a stone which allows compassion by way of the heart energy. It helps to stable financial matters, especially when times are tough. Keep it around when paying bills, making business transactions or heartfelt decisions. It helps us to find solutions to life’s problems.
Rose Quartz is like no other stone for representing love, compassion, beauty, peacefulness, forgiving, self-love and emotional balance! Rose Quartz works with the Heart Chakra. It is a soft, gentle, soothing stone and its value as a nurturing friend cannot be overstated.
Rhodochrosite is gentle and yet probably the most vibrant loving stone to heal the Heart. Especially for giving/receiving love and finding balance. Also for loneliness, loss, heartache, fear, insecurities, inner-child issues. Helps self-forgiveness, compassion and trust issues, spirituality and self-love, the desire to live and find purpose.
In your reiki treatments, use the desired crystals with a single client or group scenario.
* Create a circle of crystals around a client or group.
*Put your crystal in a pouch and carry it with you. This age old remedy helps to remind you of what you bring along on your journey everyday. Carry the stone in your pocket or pocketbook.
*Crystal Concoctions or Elixirs are also the recipes of the past. It is recommended to place clean stones or crystals into clean, clear distilled water and place it in the morning sun through the day and into the night of a full moon for 24 hours. Apply to skin or add several drops to your water or juice when needed. (All the crystals mentioned above are fine for these elixirs – except Selenite. Do not use selenite in an elixir that you drink. It may also dissolve in water).
*Crystal Hydrotherapy is the use of water in any form, in the treatment of dis-ease. Hydrotherapy was used by the ancient Greek physicians. Hydrotherapy and crystals have a number of uses. These crystals can tolerate water for bathing. It is a way to work with yours stone. (Do not use selenite as it may dissolve in water).
*Crystal Massage. Use your stone as a massage tool. Use some essential oil, massage oil or lotion on your stone and massage the areas which feel blocked or stuck. You will find this a great remedy.
*Meditate with your crystal. Place your crystal in your dominant hand or on the floor in front of you. Close your eyes and concentrate on the color of your stone. Slowly try to vibe with the crystal’s energy. Great for group meditations. Remember: “Energy follows thought”. The imagery of visualization is very powerful! As you breath, you may inhale and exhale through the Chakra energy points. This will charge the Chakra with vital energy.
*You may utilize the vibrational power of sound or music during your session. The stones will enhance a positive, reconnecting flow of energy, which will allow you to bring up, recognize and clear emotional blocks.
*By “laying of the stones” on the Chakra points, (energy areas) you have begun the healing. While meditating, you may choose to have them visualize the corresponding color of each Chakra energy point saturating and balancing each part of their body. Below are the Chakra centers and their corresponding colors, complement colors and location. The crystals listed are simply some suggestions for the Chakra.
*Lay the stones around your body in an Aura “net” either on the floor or massage table and lay within the circle or net you have created.
