Light A Candle Today!
In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline
is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

Manifesting Your Destiny
Spell Date: Sunday, December 9, 2018
We have all probably seen a snowman or created one. By working with the snow, you can manifest your intentions by giving life to a creation. In essence, you are creating the embodiment of your desires. You are welcoming the prospect of your full potential into your life.
Choose the shape of what you are envisioning and shape it with the snow (or shaved ice, if no snow is readily available). Add color with food coloring or scent with essential oils. Once the shape has been created, say:
“This creation is what I desire.
As it melts it is what I will acquire.”
Place the object you created outside and allow it to melt.

Spell to Increase Freelance Work
Spell Date: Saturday, December 8, 2018
It’s becoming increasingly common in our “gig economy” to work part-time at multiple jobs, relying on freelance income. It can sometimes be difficult to find more work assignments, especially for people who work with writing, editing, or design, given the recent changes in technology and communication. Our confidence can falter and make us uneasy about finding work. Try this simple spell to help generate more work.
Get a multicolored stack of sticky notes. Write one word on each note that reminds you of how effective and unique your work is. These might be words like “Creative” or “Perfectionist” or “Resourceful.” Place these notes around your workspace: above your desk, on your computer monitor, on your bulletin board, on a window, etc. When you see them, say aloud, “I am creative!” and follow up with another related statement, such as “I have great ideas!” This amounts to giving yourself small, frequent pep talks. Change the location of these notes periodically to associate them with different activities.

Open Yourself to the Moon
Spell Date: Friday, December 7, 2018
Today in 1972 was the launch of Apollo 17, the last manned lunar mission. The moon is so captivating that poets write about it, artists paint it, and lygophobics fear it. It plays an important role in astrology and has its place in the tarot’s major arcana. The moon plays a part in the earth’s “wobble” and pulls at the tides. Some people even respond to the moon’s fullness and other phases.
Today is a new moon in Sagittarius, a perfect time for opening yourself to its energy. All you need to do is light a candle and repeat this incantation:
“Grandmother Moon, goddess of old,
Throughout the night your story is told.
By light of the flame and beat of my heart,
I open my soul, my journey to start.”
Pinch out the candle and research all you can about the moon. You’ll find her a great companion in your life’s journey!

Help! I’m Overbooked
Spell Date: Thursday, December 6, 2018
We’re all overbooked. We Pagans love to read. We have so many books on our shelves that our homes are sinking into the ground. What if you’re going to get more books as presents over the holidays? It’s time to clear your shelves a bit.
Set Athena or other deities of wisdom on your altar and cast a circle around your whole house. Take four grocery bags and contemplate who you’d like to donate some books to— public libraries, charities, covenmates, etc. Write a destination on each bag and ask Athena for guidance as you examine your bookshelves. What books ( The Spiral Dance ?) do you frequently use? Which could you not bear to give away? What books will be useful now to someone else? Select books for each bag. (It’s not required that you fill them.) Donate each bag before you change your mind.

Good Times Ahead
Spell Date: Wednesday, December 5, 2018
Every year at about this time, it’s common to hear people say they can’t wait for the year to be over. They then list all of the bad things that happened over the last twelve months. They want a fresh start and believe the new year will bring the good times they crave.
Instead of focusing on the bad things that happened, try focusing on the good things instead. Sometimes we have a very difficult year that makes this task seem impossible, but it can be done. Even if the good things are relatively small compared to the bad events, they should be recognized.
Take a piece of construction or scrapbook paper and make a poster celebrating the good things that happened to you over the past year. Decorate the poster and make it pretty. Place it in a spot where you will see it daily to remind yourself of all the good times you’ve had and to attract more good ones to you in the coming year.

Connect to Your Matron Goddess
Spell Date: Tuesday, December 4, 2018
Whether we’ve worked with our matron goddess(es) before or not, now, while the solar energies of the year are waning (and the moon is waning as well), is a good time to connect and deepen our bond. We can do devotional rituals, using words of praise and expressions of love.
Whether your matron goddess is an actual matron (“mother”), a maiden, a crone, or some other archetype, you’ll want to use a candle in a color you feel would be pleasing to her. Inscribe the candle with words or symbols describing her awesomeness, and meditate on those energies for a while. Think about your special connection with her, and what kinds of energy patterns you would like help with.
When you’re ready, light the candle, saying:
“I light this candle to represent the
mystery in me that is most like you.
Please, (name of matron goddess),
help me grow more like you every day.”
Allow the candle to burn down completely, knowing that as it does so, you are drinking in the light required to understand the depths of her mysteries. Be blessed.

It’s tempting to stir the pot,
especially when we’ve been hurt or
when someone offends our sensibilities.
Make a gossip’s apple to warm
your heart, still your tongue, and protect
you from other wagging tongues!
You will need:
* 1 healing apple
* 3 protective star anises
* A jar or two of gossip-stopping cloves
* 4 straight pins (one for each star anise and one to help with the cloves)
Attach each star anise to the apple by driving a pin through the center of the star and into the apple, and speak the first words of the charm:
“A star of protection shines on me.”
Cover the rest of the apple in cloves, leaving no empty space. Pricking the skin of the apple with the remaining straight pin will help the cloves go in easier. As you insert each clove, say:
“A clove for thee, a clove for me.”
When you place the last clove, say:
“Silence is golden, so mote it be!”
Keep the apple where you can see and smell it. Pick it up whenever you feel tempted to stir the pot!

GrannyMoon’s Healing Arts and Pagan Studies Courses!
Join Me! Natural WItchcraft will take 13 weeks of study and hands-on practice. But it should be fun for you too!
The more you write, the more you will “reclaim and remember.” We start with the basics!
We learn from Our Mother…the Earth, the Moon, the weather, from the elements, the animals, the stones, the seasons, the trees and all manner of living and breathing things, as well as the inanimate. They have much to tell us, much to share. We learn the language of the Earth and her inhabitants, but we must resonate with them to understand. This is a fun 13 week E-Course, with hands-on projects that you will love!
The Herbalism series, in addition to the on-line lessons and hands-on projects that you do at home, I will be sending you articles, and information, as well as questions about your own personal use and research.
There is so much to learn about herbs! In Herbalism 101, we cover 21 herbs, and you will start your own Materia Medica, that we will build throughout the next levels. We will cover the basic aspects of herbs, herbal terminology and herbal history. From culinary to magickal, medicinal to ornamental, as well as the many alternative healing modalities of herbs! The Doctrine of Signatures and making plant medicine.
Herbalism 303: The last series of classes teaches about the entire body, one system at a time. You’ll learn a lot about how the body functions and what health problems are related to which body system. You’ll also learn about natural health remedies for many health problems.
There are 10 lessons in each level and there is no time limit for completion. You may study at your own pace, however, I do suggest sending in one lesson a week to get the most out of the course.
The Reiki Master course is a $150.00 value, yours free for purchasing all three of the Herbalism courses at once.
However, it is a wonderful beginning with hands-on projects that my students seem to enjoy!
I look forward to walking this green journey with you! I love herbs and I hope that you do too or will learn to!
Heartwings Love Notes 857 The Cookies of Christmas
Heartwings says, “Christmas cookies warm the heart and bring delight to the tummy.”
According to Wikepedia, were it not for Alexander the Great, we might not have Christmas cookies. Not really but in 327 BC he discovered and spread sugar cane the source for their sweetness, first throughout Persia and eventually Europe. The early little cakes or cookies would probably taste strange to us today. They were spiced with whatever was available, including cumin, and either shaped by hand or rolled and pressed on wooden boards carved with cut out shapes. Later, the invention of cookie cutters helped form them into myriad shapes.
Their actual invention is shrouded in mist, however we have Germany to thank for the Christmas cookie we know today. They also are responsible for gingerbread houses and the shapes that are commonly used as gingerbread men and women. The Pennsylvania Dutch, as the German immigrants were often called brought the tradition of the Christmas cookie to the US. Today there are many kinds of cookie exchanges during the early part of the season. Magazines and books carry varieties of recipes for these sweet treats of the Season of Light. As well, families have treasured cookie recipes handed down to them from past generations.
Many favorites, like Snickerdoodles, bars and brownies, or plain and chocolate meringues mingle with fancier kinds are served for holiday occasions. However, while almost any recipe will do for this time of year, the most traditional ones are decorated with colored sprinkles, are cut into shapes, or have decorations made of icing. I usually bake up several kinds of bars and cookies to give at the holidays to those who have been kind and helpful to Stephen and me. One of my most successful recipes is Disappearing Caramel Brownies. They do disappear quickly, and are very popular whenever I bring them to a potluck.
Disappearing Caramel Brownies: IMPORTANT follow baking directions or they will end up as rocks and not tasty bars. Preheat oven to 350 or 325 for glass pans. Grease and if possible use parchment paper to line 8″ square pan.
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup butter
1 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
½ tsp. vanilla
¼ cup chopped walnuts (may be omitted but taste good)
1 cup flour
Heat butter, sugar in saucepan. Stir slowly till sugar is dissolved, then a little longer to have it somewhat liquid. Do not boil. Cool slightly. Add beaten egg, salt, vanilla, baking powder, nuts and flour. Stir well to incorporate all the flour. Spread in 8 or 9 inch pan. Bake for 20 Minutes to start. Press lightly with finger, If it makes a slight dent, remove, otherwise bake a few more minutes. Rest for 10 minutes then cut into 16 squares cool in pan and remove when ready. These bake up well with alternative or gluten free flours also.
This recipe doubles easily. In which case bake wee bit longer, perhaps 10 minutes more for a 9X12 pan. Remember to test and not to overbake or they will be difficult to cut, let alone chew.
Warm the hearts of good little boys and girls with a packet of Snowman Soup!
Assemble in a gift bag or small zipper food storage bag:
1 individual pack hot chocolate mix
3 Hershey’s chocolate kisses
1 small candy cane
Hand-write this tag poem:
Was told you’ve been real good this year. Always glad to hear it! With freezing weather drawing near, You’ll need to warm the spirit. So here’s a little
Live the Magic
by Jacki Smith
Creating endless love starts with you‘Self-care’ is a buzzword in the conscious living circle. It’s a reminder that after we leave the nest our health and happiness is all on us. But, what does self-care look like? How do you know when you’re doing it? How do you know you’re doing it right? Let me tell you a little secret: Self-care seems like it’s HARD work, yet it doesn’t have to be.
It’s your own attitude can turn this from a laborious chore to a labor of love.
For many of us, self-care is a journey fraught with obstacles. Those obstacles could have been born from the emotional trauma of trying to “fit in”, being betrayed, fighting, and all the resulting anxiety and depression. The list could be long, but you can chose to not allow those obstacles to stop you from growing. Self-care = recognising you need to love yourself. Start your adventures around love in your own backyard with self love, before you invite anyone to the party.
The 10 hardest yet most rewarding aspects of Self-care:
1. Setting boundaries
2. Maintaining set boundaries
3. Saying “No!” and not wavering when others expect you to say, “Yes!”
4. Letting yourself have fun
5. Looking in the mirror and telling yourself, “I love you!”
6. Recovery from addiction
7. Going to therapy
8. Telling your partner that you need them
9. Maintaining a healthy, balanced eating habit
Listening to and honoring your body
Okay, okay this list seems daunting. Self-care goes way beyond a visit to the spa once a week, or picking up a sweet treat at the local fruit market. Sure it’s a part of it, yet a very small part. Don’t get me wrong, I love a huge slice of Tiramisu as much as the next girl, and I will treat myself from time to time. Yet, a piece of Tiramisu will only make me happy in the moment. It’s temporary joy, it fades after the cake is gone and then maybe a little sadness kicks in. Self-care is long-term and continuous self-care becomes self-love. Love of self increases the ability to give and receive love. It is all reciprocal: what you put out you get back.
Lock down your love with magic
Did you read number 5 above and cringe? Let me tell you another secret: Love and magic both come from within. In order to attract love, you first must love yourself. Most people get into magic to find their soul mate. That is usually based on believing they need someone to make them feel loved and whole. Have you ever thought about using magic in supporting your journey of self-care, so you can feel loved and whole as a person first.
Start your self-care practice by placing Blessed Herbal Love’s Enchantment, Inner Balance, and Happiness candles in candle holders from left to right. As you light the Love’s Enchantment say, “I AM love. I am the loved and the lover. My love endures beginning within me.” Stand or sit in quiet feeling love radiate from your heart and surround you.
Next, light the Inner Balance candle saying, “Love is my inner pendulum. It keeps me centered and balanced.” Stand or sit in quiet and imagine a pendulum swinging to and fro and coming to the center and being still.
Finally, light the Happiness candle saying, “As a love-bearing and centered person, I create happiness and joy in my life.” Stand or sit in quiet imagining a scene from nature that makes you smile, whether it is watching the sunrise, or gazing at a full moon. Now play some music that makes you want to dance and sing along. Dancing and singing raises our vibrations and makes us smile! Burn the candles every day at the same time until they burn out.
Now get working on that list and know that you are magically supported.
Remember, if you keep your magic close with a daily practice, it will keep you close in its effectiveness and speed. Keep living the magic, Jacki.

Business Success Oil
by Servant of Hestia
In another lifetime I owned a business that was fairly successful. I made handcrafted soaps and toiletries, and it assured an income that would carry me through the winter months when there were no horses to train. I absolutely loved creating incredible products both magickal and mundane that my customers loved. Sadly, when I met my husband and we became a mobile family, my business had to come to a close as it wasn’t feasible to move an entire studio of raw supplies around the country.
While I contribute my success to fantastic products, I also am not adverse to giving sales a boost. At art festivals I always hung an amulet of cinnamon and green ribbon at the entrance to my space; my cash box was anointed with a sumptuous blend of money-generating essential oils; I wore the same oil as a personal fragrance while doing business.
Thinking of opening your own business? Seriously….I recommend this (currently I wear it whenever I am doing to business plan and planning; yes, I actually wear this when I’m in the shop doing business for the day).
6 drops Bergamot Essential Oil (get bergaptene free bergamot oil — and ONLY bergaptene free oil — because bergamot inherently contains a natural chemical that creates photosensitization when used…which is totally not cool. You can find quality begaptene free essential oil here.)
2 drops Basil Essential Oil
2 drops Patchouli Essential Oil
1 drop Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil
When I use this for candles in business success or money spells, I directly anoint the taper itself (usually green). To use as a ritual perfume oil, or as an oil in which I anoint my cashbox, I blend the essential oils in a tablespoon or two of a carrier oil. My preference is jojoba, as it has a longer shelf life than most oils. If you’re unable to obtain jojoba, sunflower and avocado work just as well.
Blessings from the Hearth.

Would You Mind a Bit of Jupiter?
We live in a turbulent time but what I like astrology for, it can always show us some light ahead. Right now, I am looking at the period starting from around December the 20th and continuing to the very Christmas Day!
It will begin with the Sun making trine to Uranus on the 20th – an inspiration, that will help us to feel free from the burdens of life and might also give us some wonderful ideas. On the 21st, Mercury will make a conjunction to Jupiter – optimism, wisdom, higher knowledge, generous advice, great for travel. On the same day, and around the same time, Venus will make a trine to Neptune – fantastic love, sublime beauty, great for artists, designers and lovers. And then the parallel between Mercury and Jupiter will gradually form, to culminate on the Christmas Eve. It will be as good as Mercury-Jupiter conjunction but it will last longer, and therefore will be more prominent.
Enjoy the festive season!

When we live with intent, we own our actions; instead of habitually performing them.
We tend to associate the energy of intent with complicated or profoundly meaningful actions that require our full attention and effort in order to succeed. For example, walking a tightrope, taking a test, and taking a vow are all tasks that call us to be fully present and single-minded. However, intent can also be applied to everyday events, like eating breakfast or going to work. In fact, everything we do benefits from the presence of intent, which has the power to transform seemingly mundane tasks into profound experiences. You only have to try it to find out.
Intent is one of the cornerstones of the Zen tradition of Buddhism in which monks work for years to develop the stillness and sharpness of mind to do only one thing at a time. Most of the time we are doing one thing and thinking of something else, or even doing three things at the same time, such as talking on the phone, doing dishes, and boiling water for tea. There is nothing inherently wrong with multitasking, which seems necessary at times, especially in the midst of family life. However, balancing this with a healthy dose of intentional activity can provide valuable insight into the benefits of doing one thing at a time, being fully present with whatever the task at hand happens to be.
From the moment we wake up, we can apply intent to our situation by simply saying to ourselves, “I am aware that I am now awake.” We can use this simple tool throughout our day, saying, “I am aware that I am driving to work.” “I am aware that I am making dinner.” Or even, “I am aware that I am breathing.” As we acknowledge what we are doing in these moments, we come alive to our bodies and to the world, owning our actions instead of habitually performing them. We may realize how often we act without intention and how this disengages us from reality. Applying the energy of intent to even one task a day has the power to transform our lives. Just imagine what would happen if we were able to apply that power to our entire day.
Good Thoughts For The Day
By Madisyn Taylor
In the morning, send yourself love for the entire day and be sure to collect that love along the way.
When things go wrong, it is easy to get into a bad mood, and that bad mood has a way of spiraling out and affecting our life for days to come. In the same way, when we feel badly about ourselves, we tend to act in ways that have repercussions, again creating a negative vibe that can negatively influence the next several days. While it is important that we allow ourselves to feel what we feel, and to be genuine, we do not have to completely surrender to a dark mood or feelings of self-doubt. In fact, the more we simply allow and accept our darkness as one part of the picture, the more easily we can also allow and accept our light. In this vein, we can temper our grey moods with an injection of sunshine in the form of sending good wishes to ourselves for the next 24 hours.
If you feel a bad mood coming on or find yourself plagued with negative feelings, take a moment to acknowledge that. At the same time, recognize that things can and will change, and that you can still have a good day, or a good week, especially if you take the time to visualize that for yourself. This is a great way to support yourself when you are working through tough times and hard feelings. When you visualize good things for yourself, you are sending yourself love and warmth, as well as encouraging yourself to keep going.
Before you even get out of bed in the morning, you can take the time to send good wishes to yourself all the way through to the next morning. As you picture your day, take the time to fill in the details – where you are going, who you will see, what you will do – and send love and good wishes ahead to yourself, as well as everyone you encounter. It will be like arriving in a new place and finding that an old friend has sent a bouquet of flowers from back home to welcome you and remind you that you are loved.
Santa’s Gift for World Peace
“This just won’t do!” Chief Elf Frosty Beard shouted into the telephone. “Certainly none other than Santa Claus deserves some sort of favorable consideration!” But the terse reply back, rather than calming him down, seemed to make him feel even worse.
“What’s wrong?” Santa asked as he entered his toy studio at the North Pole.
Frosty Beard turned to Santa. “These new government regulations for flying any sort of cargo are absolutely preposterous. I’ve been on the phone with the Chief of Homeland Security and he is being most uncooperative. Why it’s not as though you’re making some sort of common commercial delivery.”
“Come now, Frosty. Please be a little more specific.” Santa said kindly.
Frosty Beard threw his hands up into the air. “Homeland Security wants all presents unwrapped and inspected in triplicate before anything is permitted to go down any chimney. I tried explaining that we’re talking about an ancient tradition on Christmas Eve but that didn’t seem to matter.” He said bluntly. “That mean stopping and being searched hundreds of millions of times. Why it will take you even longer than forever to deliver all the presents to the boys and girls around the world.”
“They are all still very nervous about terrorists aren’t they!” Santa said wisely.
“Then we must think about changing our usual plans and doing something different this year. If you recall I did say last Christmas that we should consider emailing digital gifts wherever possible.”
“But think of the tradition we’ll lose doing it that way.” Frosty Beard said wringing his hands. “And Santa, Email doesn’t do it. Just think of the potential for destructive worms or viruses invading the digital presents. And besides many millions of children don’t as yet even have computers.”
“So we’ll have to have every present inspected at military checkpoints?” Santa sounded incredulous.
“Three times!” Frosty Beard cried out. “First by the military command, then by Homeland Security, and finally by local law enforcement. Why with all that confusion and red tape delivering presents this Christmas Eve could take weeks, even months. And you of all people should know how temperamental the reindeer can be. Why they could never tolerate that kind of stop and go traffic.”
Santa sighed. “I don’t suppose we could appeal to the political leaders for some sort of holiday immunity?”
But Frosty Beard shook his head no. ” I’ve certainly done my best. But trying to reason with anyone about this is like trying to beat the bushes with a fly swatter.”
“What’s all this commotion?” Mrs. Claus asked bustling into Santa’s Toy Studio. Frosty Beard and his elves were all clamoring amongst themselves trying to find a way around the new strict government regulations regarding the examination of all flight cargo, even to include even the gifts in Santa’s sleigh. Santa and Frosty Beard carefully explained the rules to Mrs. Claus.
She rolled her eyes and then stopped to think a bit. “Why not send invisible presents.”
“Invisible?” Santa asked appearing even more confused.
“Exactly!” Mrs. Claus agreed heartily.
“And just how are we supposed to do that?” A skeptical Frosty Beard asked.
“Invisible cookies,” she said matter-of-factly, waving her arms as though anyone might have thought of such an obvious suggestion. Then on Christmas morning they will be delivered directly to each and every person in the world.”
“And just how do we bake these invisible cookies?” Frost Beard scratched his head. Sometimes Mrs. Claus’ suggestions left him feeling a bit astounded.
“Magically.” She replied calmly. “How else?”
“You’ve been reading those Harry Potter books, haven’t you?” Santa Claus said shaking his head. He looked to Frosty Beard for some sort of rational comfort. “I certainly appreciate the magical lore of Christmas more than anyone, yet where does invisibility enter into the lore and legend of this holiday.”
` “Sometimes you ask too many silly questions.” Said Mrs. Claus. She began to. rummage through her bookshelf. “Ah, here,” she said, holding up a worn leather volume that looked thousands of years old. “Mother Nature’s Secret Holiday Recipes.” She hunted through the index: “Here it is! Invisible Christmas Delights. Jot this down,” she told Frosty Beard. “1 cup joy, 2 cups friendship, 3 cups love, 1 tablespoon celebration, 1 cup happiness, a sprinkle of blessings and laughter to taste. Mix all together in a big bowl and bake in a warm oven until tasty. Before packaging, sprinkle with starlight. Any questions?”
“But what about flour, sugar, eggs, pecans, and colored candy sprinkles?” Frosty Beard complained. “How can you have Christmas cookies without colorful candy sprinkles?”
“These cookies go straight to the heart,” Mrs. Claus said with as smile. “And furthermore, Grownups will love them just as much as children will.”
Frosty Beard agreed and together with his elves set to work baking pans and pans of Invisible Christmas Delights. “Good thing they’re invisible,” Frosty Beard said after he and the elves sampled cookies from the first batch. “Otherwise Santa might eat more of them than he delivers.”
And so it was that on Christmas Eve in a twinkling of an eye Santa’s cookies went everywhere in the world, and thanks to Santa and Mrs. Claus, on Christmas morning all the peoples of the world woke up with hearts filled with peace, joy and happiness.
Weekly Horoscopes beginning: Sunday, 09 December 2018
If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.
Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.
Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19
Your horoscope for this week:
Usually you regard setbacks as something to be overcome, ideally as swiftly as possible. Yet those you`re currently facing are about breaking old and, often, restrictive patterns and venturing into new territory. While this could involve your activities or those you undertake them with, these changes could be taking you into a new, possibly unfamiliar setting. For now, explore everything. Decisions can, and should, wait.
There`s a distinct festive atmosphere around you now. Your social world sparkles as invitations to parties and other festive celebrations come pouring in. Text messages are flying from one friend to another as you arrange for the month ahead. You might notice strong bonds building between you and your neighbours or colleagues. Facing challenges together help bring you closer together. Joining forces with a talented artist will help you produce some amazing work.
The time of year itself indicates that this should be a week of all systems go. Yet this year is different: Mercury is now moving forward and there was a New Moon last Friday (7th). Those two factors together suggest that most people will be anxious to get things done. Note too that by the middle of December, Venus will have returned to the position held at its retrograde degree in early October. This too has all the makings of most people thinking that they need to accomplish something to show that the last couple of months haven`t been wasted: a race to the finish then. Now though, and especially in the second half of the week – compromise in difficult situations could be found. Note too, that those who gave legal expert advice might now be doubting earlier opinions. Be prepared for a bit of a turnaround there as well. True, this could be mightily irritating. It could pave the way to reasonable solutions being found before the solstice on 22nd.
Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20
Your horoscope for this week:
Being ruled by the charming Venus, you`re deft at winning others over to your ideas, almost without discussion. Yet certain of the situations you`re facing are more complex, and will require considerable thought and, possibly, persuasion. Even more, recognise that with the actual foundation on which these are based shifting, your own views, priorities and plans could shift too, and far more dramatically than you anticipated.
Clinging stubbornly to outdated routines can cause stagnation and frustration. It is time to let go and go with the flow. Stop trying to force square pegs into round holes then you will realise how much fun it can be to experiment with new methods and techniques. Ignoring problems will cause tension. Discuss issues that are causing strain in a close relationship as soon as they arise. Your honesty will encourage others to be truthful about their feelings too.
Mercury is at last in direct motion in your opposite sign. Those who have been dithering could now be clear about their aims and objectives. True, progress probably can`t be made until Venus, your ruling planet, returns to the degree held at its retrograde station in early October and that doesn`t happen until the middle of December. Yet it should be obvious by Thursday, that progress is being made. Reviving old partnerships, agreeing new terms and generally resolving old crises are all possible before the solstice on 22nd. Your particular talents may be to smooth things out for those who`d been so involved in logistics that they haven`t actually dealt with practicalities; and yes, there is a difference. Ideas that others feel should be possible may not be for reasons not yet known. Your task, may be to oil wheels and smooth paths.
Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20
Your horoscope for this week:
Now that your ruler Mercury is no longer retrograde, you`ll find it easier to both address tricky matters and untangle previously impossible issues; but, even more, you`ll realise some aren`t actually your responsibility anyway. Ironically, others will acknowledge this as well. This means that after a little shuffling of tasks, things will get done faster and easier, leaving you time to explore intriguing options and enjoy life.
Your family and closest friends are your first priority now and you will be putting their needs and wishes before your own. Your most special quality these days, is compassion. You`re finding it easier to connect with people on an emotional level. Getting involved in a festive community event will be worth your while. Invite some youngsters along to help put up decorations. Don`t be surprised if you raise a lot of money for a great cause.
Your ruling planet, Mercury, now appears to be moving forward after a few weeks of apparent retrograde motion. It`s unlikely you were doing the same but probable that you have experienced an increased workload as you went back over and over things. It might also be that health matters have needed extra attention. That situation might not change until almost the end of this working week. What seems clear is that you are now getting to get to grips with a difficulty that has perhaps been around for a long time (at least beginning of October). In the middle of December Venus returns to the position held at that time. In completing that apparent loop in the sky, it also marks the start of the journey to resolving difficulties. Some might even be dealt with before the solstice on 22nd. With the assistance either of someone born under Capricorn, or who appears at least to have considerable power, you could cut an amazing deal before next Friday. That said, take care that you don`t jinx it at the last moment by either appearing elusive or allowing conversations to go off at a tangent. Until Wednesday your ability to focus is good. Do what you can before then.
Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22
Your horoscope for this week:
While there`ll be progress in many areas of your life, don`t be surprised if you`re unsure what`s next. That`s to be expected now, in the run up to the pivotal Cancer Full Moon on the 22nd. For now, focus on what needs a rethink or, perhaps, could go. This is both clearing the way, and preparing you for the new cycle that begins later this month.
Putting your imagination to good use will help you zoom ahead with a new assignment. You feel inspired and ambitious and if you do a good job, you could be offered a raise, promotion or both. Wherever you go, friends and even people you hardly know will enjoy your company. Your hopes and plans are starting to change, and this has something to do with the new people you are meeting and new friendships you are making.
If you have (understandably) been thinking that the cosmos has given you a bumpy ride since early October, know that that ride is coming to an end. Venus returns to the position of its retrograde degree in the middle of this month. Already, and boosted by last Friday`s New Moon and with Mercury now moving forward, the end of many difficulties should be in sight. That`s not to say that there aren`t still major hurdles to be overcome. These might even have their roots almost 20 years ago. Fact is that those of your sign have a particular creative genius. Hold the thought that on Thursday, Mercury arrives in one of the working areas of your solar chart. Don`t imagine the amount of work and the uphill struggle that you think you will encounter between then and early January. Access your ability to problem-solve and to think creatively. You will doubtless need to go with the flow. That said, know too that someone either from long distance or who feels they`ve had a fabulous brainwave, may want you to join them on board a fabulous adventure. Though this too would increase your workload, it may be something that you want to be part of your life journey.
Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22
Your horoscope for this week:
The last thing you`re in the mood for are lengthy discussions, especially if they`re in response to questions about certain of your plans or passions. Understandably, you`re in no mood to explain anything to anybody. Despite that, try. Talk things over. Ironically, what you learn from those discussions could offer valuable insights about previously perplexing issues or future plans you`re struggling to organise.
When it comes to making festive plans with the family, you should leave your options open. Someone could come along and make you a more exciting offer and you will wish you hadn`t made previous commitments. Unexpected circumstances force you to take a long hard look at your life path. There are some things you must decide for yourself and you will need some time alone to consider your future. You have more options than you realise.
You could so, so come out fighting this week. With the cosmic winds firmly behind you i.e. the recent New Moon and Mercury now moving forward, even before the solstice on 22nd, you could achieve what seems at the beginning of the week almost unimaginable. The art is probably to focus on what you can truly do and what you want. Where you have the vision, achieving it might not be anything like as hard as you imagine. Fact is, that you have qualities enthusiasm, persistence and determination and a fixation of purpose alongside extra ordinary creative talents that others both admire and need. It wouldn`t be so surprising if by the time Mercury returns to Sagittarius next Thursday, that more than one person wanted to make use of your very considerable talents. You might even end up spoilt for choice and spending next weekend giving close consideration as to which task ought to take priority in 2019.
Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22
Your horoscope for this week:
Obviously, life would be a lot easier if you could rely on plans, your own and those that involve others; but with so much in transition, and with many of those changes constituting major improvements, even disruptive developments could be beneficial. For now, therefore, focus on what you`re learning from what arises. Once you know more, the next step, and those after that will be clearer.
A friend`s behaviour leaves you feeling as if they have let you down. You trusted this person to carry out their promises and now you know they aren`t as reliable as you had thought. It is important that you continue to look on the bright side. There may be a need to dip into your savings to pay a few unexpected debts relating to the home. Unfortunately, a friend who owes you money is refusing to pay up.
Next Saturday`s First Quarter Moon is in your opposite sign. By then you should know far better where others stand. Those who to your mind have been messing you around (most likely since March), could now put forward their plans. Since last Friday`s New Moon coincided with Mercury, your ruling planet arriving at its direct station, brought with it a change in the cosmic weather, a change of mood is likely. Those people should now have a much clearer idea of what is important for them in 2019 and have clear ideas as to how to achieve that. True, Venus does not return to its retrograde degree until December 17th. This week, as it appears to close that apparent loop in the sky, compromise on many fronts is probable. What might surprise you is the support that comes – most likely from a Capricorn or elder- who sees now that you`ve come as far as you possibly can and that if a deal is to be struck it needs to be struck soon. This could be achieved by the solstice on 22nd, but first will likely require that legal other expert opinion is sought.
Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22
Your horoscope for this week:
It would be no surprise if you`re still wrestling with conflicts or minor misunderstandings. While this arose in early December, your efforts to achieve an accord or calm those who`re anxious have achieved little. Pressing as these seem, busy yourself with other long-neglected tasks. These need attention. Better yet, this forces certain lazy individuals to take responsibility for their end of the matters in question.
Falling behind on your work could have unpleasant consequences so do your best to stay on top of things. This may mean getting up an hour earlier each morning or putting in extra time over the weekend. You`re searching in the wrong places if you are looking outside yourself for happiness. True joy comes from enjoying the blessings that currently grace your life and many of these are within your home and family.
It likely feels that you`ve waited a long time for progress. However, boosted by Friday`s New Moon and Mercury now in direct motion together with Venus, your ruling planet, shortly to return to the position held at its retrograde station back in October, it should now be time to pick up loose ends and move forward. It`s not that those loose ends weren`t important either. It`s probable that in the last eight weeks you`ve learnt a great deal – presumably about technical matters but this could also have been about writing or even travelling. Now, armed with this new information you could start to make plans for 2019 that make use of this new expertise. Bear in mind that there is a solar eclipse in another of the Cardinal signs in January. This, a sophisticated New Moon, appears indicative of a new page turning in your domestic life. It may be that this is connected with your work pattern. Preparing the ground now for those changes and determining what it is brings out the best in you would be a valuable use of this week`s energy.
Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21
Your horoscope for this week:
You`ve been discussing, and dealing with, several complex situations for ages. Satisfying as the progress you`ve made may be, you`ve been unable to deal with several worrying loose ends. Finally, things come together, often so easily you`re wary, unsure solutions are for real. They are and, better yet, it`s time to celebrate putting these to rest, then move on. Many intriguing options are awaiting you.
Helping out a relative with their home or garden keeps you grounded. This is a good time to catch up on laundry, go grocery shopping and do household chores. People appreciate your sensible advice. They know you offer guidance from a practical standpoint. Are you looking for love? Steer clear of aloof characters who might take a long time to get to know. You will be far better off with someone who can express their emotions.
It`s likely that all eyes are on you: perhaps because you hold the purse strings or because your particular insight is valuable in decision-making. Fact is that as of Friday`s New Moon, Mercury stationed in your sign and is now in direct motion. This then could be considered an optimum time to put cards on the table. There may be benefit in doing this before Venus returns to its retrograde station on December 17th. It might also be time for others to be made aware of the limits to the effort you are prepared to put in and the constraints that you expect of them to work under. Tough talking may be necessary. That does not mean that you will be tied to a rulebook or unable to use your flair and imagination. Indeed, before next Friday`s First Quarter Moon accenting the base of your solar chart, you could change engineer (delegate), and be steering new course. Your actions may well astound others who are amazed by the way that you`ve embraced a new concept and are ready to forge ahead.
Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21
Your horoscope for this week:
Although the Sagittarius New Moon on 7 December marks a fresh start, you`re already undoubtedly exploring, and benefiting from the current powerful planetary focus on your sign. Others may advise you to carefully analyse your options. Instead, explore everything, saying a tentative yes to what appeals. Later, when you`re better informed, you can edit these down, and decide what no longer works and what will remain.
If you have a touchy topic to discuss, approach the subject over coffee in a relaxed setting. You can understand how it feels to be in someone else`s shoes and you may have to use this ability to the full to bring harmony and accord into a working relationship or close friendship. A turnaround in your finances along with some exciting developments at home will give you a new sense of achievement. Give yourself a pat on the back.
Friday`s New Moon was in your sign. That that event coincided with Mercury arriving at its direct station suggests that information you`ve been waiting for will finally be en-route. It`s possible that that won`t arrive until Venus returns to its retrograde station position midmonth. The point this week is that you should know that that information is on the way and that others are now aware of the challenges. Comforted by the fact that action is now being taken, you can perhaps turn your mind to other adventures. `Adventures` is the key word here. Remember that Jupiter is now passing through your sign and there may be many things you want to plan for 2019. Doing this within understandable financial constraints will likely be challenging. Yet you could rise to this and even before Friday`s First Quarter Moon put forward a proposal that is well thought out, imaginative and would be something special to mark in your life journey.
Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19
Your horoscope for this week:
As much as you dislike things being out of your control, it`s now clear that certain tricky situations are entirely the responsibility of others. Acknowledging this frees you to focus on recently neglected personal matters and, even more, passions. This shift is a relief but is also a reward for your generosity with others, some of whom have neither noticed nor appreciated your efforts on their behalf.
Any problems you have this week will be linked with people who have too much to do and too little time for you. Friends are unable to fulfil promises they made you, and although they have some good excuses, you still feel disappointed. Eventually you will just get on with most things yourself. Some aspects of your life are changing but as one door closes, another will open. Benefits are coming your way in the future so be on the lookout for new opportunities.
Mercury is at last in direct motion. Venus though does not return to the retrograde degree until December 17th. Between now and then it`s probable you will still be unravelling a mess whose root most likely goes back to late September or early October. The challenge of this might not be at all unappealing. However, whilst all this is going on, it`s entirely possible that someone you`ve worked for in the past will be assessing your availability in 2019. In short, it would be as well not to be too preoccupied with one thing and miss an opportunity elsewhere. Maintaining contact with those you`ve worked with in the past would seem imperative before Friday as Mercury completes its journey through the networking zone of your solar chart. It`s entirely possible that you will be asked to keep an idea quiet at least for the moment.. A strong possibility is that a business that has some kind of travel or educational connection will have particular interest in your talents and that it will be suggested that you be available for a meeting after December 17th.
Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18
Your horoscope for this week:
Life has been frustrating enough recently that you could allow minor setbacks to turn into major dramas. Recognising this is the first step to distancing yourself from this frustrating pattern and focusing on new and more productive activities and goals. This, in turn, will broaden your horizons, and just when you`re ready to meet new people and begin setting new, challenging yet more rewarding goals.
Involvement in projects with a festive flavour will keep your spirits merry and bright. Your positive outlook makes you a popular figure and people know they can achieve anything when you are around. You have a natural ability to bring out the best in every member of your team. Special news received towards the end of the week will have something to do with your partner, a child or a family member. Arranging a family celebration will take up a lot of your time and energy.
Next Friday`s First Quarter Moon is in your sign. Before that event, it might be as well to assess all that`s happened since your birthday and to what degree you`ve managed to fulfil the aims and objectives you outlined then. 2018 has not been the easiest of years. With Mercury, Venus and Mars all going through retrograde periods it may well have felt as though for every step forward, you were taking at least two back.. The good news is that as of last Friday, and coinciding with the New Moon, Mercury is in direct motion and, by mid-December, Venus will have completed an apparent loop in the sky. In short, there is still all yet to play for. You may be asked to consider cooperating with a large company or team of people who don`t want to tie you down, but who value having a strong connection with you. This may be something to consider very carefully.
Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20
Your horoscope for this week:
At the moment your biggest problem is finding a way out of arrangements that once worked but no longer do. In fact, they`re restrictive and the people involved uninspiring. Waste no time trying to find a way to improve on these. Begin exploring your options now. You may realise you`ve been ignoring intriguing individuals or pursuits. Explore these, conscious you`ve lots more yet to discover.
You are thinking about trying to track down a friend you lost touch with many years ago. Once you start your detective work, this could lead you to planning a big reunion. Keep it casual and it will be fun. Although progress might seem a little slow, you can expect a change in career direction fairly soon. Keep a low profile and do your groundwork. For now, you don`t want to draw any attention to yourself.
It might be as well to view this week as a preview. The fresh energy provided by last Friday`s New Moon (and which coincided with Mercury`s direct station in other another of the Water signs) will require a few more days to gather strength. Note too, that is not until the middle of December that Venus returns to the position held its retrograde station back in October. Completion this very special kind of loop in the sky suggests that there might still be loose ends to tie up before you can move forward at speed. It`s likely that you only now have information and can make decisions. That this arrives at a very busy time of year is in a sense unhelpful. Yet you may find that others are now keen to make progress and that appointments can be made even up to the last minute before end of year festivities. In particular, it may be felt that you could crack a code or puzzle and not at all impossible that you will be invited to attend a special meeting that is as much about cracking this code as it is about a valuation.
