Llewellyn’s Spell a Day

Lest We Forget
Spell Date: Sunday, May 27, 2018

Many people in the United States will be visiting the graves of those they loved and lost this weekend. Red, white, and blue is a popular color scheme, but do you know what the colors really mean? Red is for passion (and blood), white is for purity, and blue is for loyalty. These are the colors on many flags, and for good reason!

The graves of fallen soldiers are often decorated with flowers. Every flower has a different meaning. Red poppies, blue irises, white roses, and carnations bring both color and depth to a memorial. Poppies are a symbol of consolation and restful sleep, irises symbolize valor and hope, roses represent undying love, and carnations of all colors are associated with affection and distinction. Flags and flowers both send a message of gratitude to the fallen and help to bring peace after the heartbreak of loss.

Open Your Heart Spell
Spell Date: Saturday, May 26, 2018

Have you ever felt cheated by love? Maybe it was a relationship that went awry or the betrayal of a close friend or family member. It’s easy to close our eyes and hearts at times like these, but there is so much beauty being missed. This spell will help you open your heart and rediscover the beauty all around.

You will need these supplies:
* A tealight candle
* Rose oil
* Paper and pen
* A fireproof container
* A rose quartz

Anoint your tealight with the rose oil. Write down on paper what was hurtful to you—get it all out. Now use the anointed tealight to burn the paper. Let it burn out in the fireproof container—in effect, letting love reign over hate and fear.

Now pick up the rose quartz. Focus on its loving energy, and visualize your heart open and seeing the world in a new way. As you do this, repeat:

“I am worthy.”

When finished, let the tealight safely burn out on its own.

Apple Blossom Blessings
Spell Date: Friday, May 25, 2018

The apple tree is prominent in Celtic lore and is a powerful symbol of love, abundance, and contentment. This spell is meant to open you to the blessings of life and the beauty of your surroundings.

For this spell you will need a branch of apple blossoms, which you can obtain from the woods or a local orchard at this time (or you may buy an artificial branch from a craft store if apple trees don’t grow in your area).

Lay the branch on your altar and light three votive candles in front of it. The candle flames symbolize the Celtic symbolism of the number three, which is about completeness and unity. Looking at the branch of blossoms illuminated by the candles, meditate on all the positive things in your life: your health, your loved ones, your home, your work, your hobbies and talents. Visualize these blessings as the abundant blossoms on an apple tree, a symbol of life’s potential renewing itself each spring.

Place the cut branch in a vase of water so you can enjoy the fragrant blossoms for a few days.

Creating Abundance
Spell Date: Thursday, May 24, 2018

When you’re in need of an increase in abundance, you can call on Thor on a Thursday. A couple of the items associated with him are the oak and the acorn. These items are perfect for abundance work. For this spell, you will utilize both oak leaves and an acorn.

To begin, create sacred space or simply sit underneath a local oak tree. Focus on the area of your life in which you need abundance. It could be monetary or it might be in another area. When you have in your mind what you are working toward, hold the acorn and oak leaves in your hand. See in your mind’s eye the acorn sprouting, taking root, and starting to shoot up through the earth. Just as the acorn has taken root, so too has your work for abundance.

Money Consciousness Magic
Spell Date: Wednesday, May 23, 2018

As our modern society becomes increasingly cashless, we’re becoming a bit removed from our awareness of money. So much is paid for with debit and credit cards that actually handing over cash has taken a lesser role.

To reestablish your connection to the immediate impact that spending money has on your life, have a “cash only day” where you use only paper money or coins. When you spend money, as you hand it over, set the intention that this money will return to you and grow. Try to be fully aware of what you buy and how much you spend. It makes the impact so much clearer. To add to the magical effect, you can dab the corners of the bills with cinnamon or basil oil to help ensure financial return.

Connect to Your Patron God Spell
Spell Date: Tuesday, May 22, 2018

Whether we’ve worked with our patron god(s) before or not, now, while the solar energies of the year are still waxing, is a good time to connect and deepen our bond. We can do devotional rituals, using words of praise and expressions of love. If your patron is a sun god archetype, you’ll want to use a gold candle, and if your patron is a dark god, you’ll want to use a black one. Inscribe the candle with words or symbols describing his awesomeness, and meditate on those energies for a while. Think about your special connection with him, and what kinds of energy patterns you would like help with. When you’re ready, light the candle, saying:

“I light this candle to represent
the light in me that is like you.
Please, (patron god), help me
grow more like you every day.”

Allow the candle to burn down completely, knowing that as it does so, you are drinking in that light. Be blessed.

Make Your Garden Grow
Spell Date: Monday, May 21, 2018

One of the most beautiful songs Leonard Bernstein ever wrote was “Make Our Garden Grow.” It’s the finale of the 1956 operetta Candide, which is based on Voltaire’s 1759 novel, in which the characters search for “the best of all possible worlds.” What they finally learn is to seek a simpler life and plant a garden. These are good intentions for us, too.

Most plants have symbolic meanings. As you plant your garden, whether it’s outside or in pots on your balcony or on a table under a window, consider what energy you’re planting. Start with a prayer plant. Go online and read about the traditional meanings and uses of other plants and herbs. Add those that resonate with you. For example, try catnip for happiness.

Tend your garden regularly. Talk to the plants and ask them to help you deal with issues that arise. Ask them to lend you their magic. Trade magical plants with your friends and use the plants in rituals.

Crystals of the Rainbow

These are the gems and minerals that usually exhibit several rainbow colors at once. Some of these crystals display their colors more so when they are polished, while others express their colors better, in the rough. The binding of natural metals to natural quartz produces a radiant flush of beautiful healing colors that are exhibited from this process.

Rainbow Healing: Angel Aura Crystal

This stone awakens awareness. This spectacular version of opalescent quartz is a result of scientific alchemy created by bonding natural clear quartz crystal with the precious metal infusion of pure platinum and silver, resulting in an immensely powerful and protective combination most associated with our Guardian Angels. Angel Aura Quartz has it’s own unique vibrational signature. It’s iridescent rainbow coloring is hypnotic and helps us to instill peace, tranquility and a feeling of contentment. This stone helps to bring you into a higher realm, where it is easier to meditate, contemplate and communicate with your guardian or spirit guide facilitating conscious contact with angelic teachings, channeling higher knowledge and understanding. Angel Aura Quartz assists in accessing the Akashic records, remembering past lives and gaining insight into one’s spiritual mission in this lifetime. This stone is an excellent aura cleanser and acts to stimulate and clear all of the Chakra centers.

Folk Remedies: Angel Aura Quartz acts at a cellular level, dispelling disorder and restoring balance. Angel Aura can be used in the treatment of eye disorders. It helps the body eliminate toxins and assimilate minerals and vitamins. The quartz resonates with our own body’s silica.

Feng Shui: Angel Aura Quartz is used primarily anywhere to help bring enlightenment. Consider using this stone in the Center for balance, health and grounding, or in the Northeast for knowledge and wisdom.

Crystal Cleansing: method 1 – 3 and method 5 – 8

History: Angel Aura Quartz Crystal is the tradename of a bonded combination of crystals created by bonding a natural clear Quartz (SiO2) with a precious metal infusion of pure platinum and silver. Although the process for making these stones is not carried out within the earth, the stones are made of all natural components with no man-made or synthetic additives (such as plastics or dyes). Therefore, it seems as though the quartz simply acts as a natural amplifier to the metals bonded to it.

Taking Counsel in a Circle
By Madisyn Taylor

The use of a talking stick during counsel, assures every voice is heard fully without interruption.

When we sit in a circle together and share our thoughts and feelings, we participate in a powerful, unifying practice whose origins stem from the very beginning of human time. All early cultures practiced some form of this ritual, which gives each individual in the group a voice, and at the same time reveals the one voice, and the ultimate unity, of the group. This profound and simple way of talking and listening has experienced a modern rebirth in counseling, social work, and spirituality.

Most circles benefit from the presence of a leader who opens the circle by calling in angels, spirit guides, and ancestors – beings of light who will be present with those taking counsel. The leader may announce a theme for the circle, or one may simply evolve from the unstructured expressions of each participant. The circle continues for as long as feels right, at which point the leader may summarize what has been said, perhaps leading everyone in a moment of silence before the circle disbands. One of the most powerful components of this work is the talking stick, which can be any object – a crystal, a flower, or a candle – that is passed around the circle from person to person. The person holding the object speaks until he has fully expressed his feelings, and no one else interjects, interrupts, or even responds until they are holding the stick. This enables people who have a hard time speaking out to express long buried feelings and points of view. This is powerful because in a community it is often what is not said or acknowledged that causes the most pain and suffering.

The circle, which contains no hard edges or angles, is the ideal container for these difficult truths. As we hear the many perspectives the subject at hand inspires, we begin to see that our individual truth is just one of many. Our own hard edges begin to soften as the circle flows from one person to the next, and each wave of words cleanses us of one more layer of mental and emotional armor, freeing us to be closer to the people around us. Try using counsel during your next family meeting, school class, or any setting where you feel a centering communication method is needed.

Lemon Balm
by Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs

Learn the medicinal and culinary uses of lemon balm, how to grow it, and how to make your own traditional Carmelite water.

To get the best flavor out of lemon balm, shear it with scissors, cutting it down by half or more, at least once a month. You can safely harvest three-quarters of the plant every three to four weeks and not harm it.
Often when someone asks me what my most favorite herb would be, I enjoy the surprise on their face when they hear my answer: Lemon balm, I say, without any hesitation.
Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) isn’t at the top of most people’s favorites list. Basil, parsley, and lavender are the most popular herbs in America, but lemon balm isn’t even on the top 10 list. But it is deserving of considerably more recognition.
Lemon balm is a perennial herb from the mint family (Lamiaceae). The plant, originally from the Mediterranean, is reliably hardy in nearly all parts of the United States. The mildly lemon-scented leaves are the parts used for tea, cookies, cakes, and medicines. One of my garden interns even made a lemon balm pie last year!
Since the time of the ancient Greeks and Romans, lemon balm has been cultivated as a valuable culinary and medicinal herb. It was once traditional to rub lemon balm leaves around the openings of beehives to encourage the bees to produce more honey. For at least 2,000 years, lemon balm has been planted and encouraged in gardens and orchards to entice more bees for pollination.

Medicinal Use
This important herb is used for relieving upset stomach, bloating, intestinal gas, vomiting, colic, and menstrual cramps. It’s valued for its calming effects in soothing restlessness, sleeplessness, and anxiety. Besides those uses, it can be applied as a poultice directly onto insect bites to remove the pain and swelling. According to the website WebMD (, “Taking a standardized extract of lemon balm by mouth daily for four months seems to reduce agitation and improve symptoms of mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease.”
The 17th-century Carmelite nuns (or monks, depending on what source you check) became famous for their “Carmelite Water,” which was a combination of lemon balm, the peels of lemons, nutmeg, coriander, and angelica. The nuns used this tea or decoction (strong tea) in treating nervous headaches, upset stomach, depression, and digestive problems.
Lemon balm in the form of cream or tincture has shown positive effects when treating cold sores (herpes labialis). Simply applying a lip balm with as little as 1 percent lemon balm extract reduces symptoms and speeds up healing time. The herb itself is known for being an anti-viral, therefore good for relieving colds and fevers. Dr. James Duke suggests that regular doses of lemon balm tea can help with chronic fatigue syndrome and the symptoms of shingles because of the herb’s antiviral actions.
For anxiety and mild depression, lemon balm is often combined with other calming herbs including valerian (Valeriana officinalis), chamomile (Matricaria recutita) and hops (Humulus lupulus), and drunk as a tea. A simple cup of hot lemon balm tea, by itself, helps encourage appetite.
But as good as the reported medicinal benefits of lemon balm are, it’s the culinary aspects that impress me. I began making lemon balm cookies and lemon balm cakes to serve my guests. The flavor of this herb is satisfying to almost everyone, and the herb is so easy to grow that even beginning herb people can grow it with success.

Growing Lemon Balm
Lemon balm can be started from seed, although the most common way is to grow it from a plant or root division. Being in the larger mint family (Liminacea) it will spread somewhat from the roots, though not aggressively like its mintier cousins. It isn’t picky about soil, though it does require plenty of sunshine. While it will do fairly well in part shade, the more sun you give it, the better it will grow.
There are two important things to note about lemon balm. It can reseed itself somewhat without becoming a pest. That habit is easily prevented by the other important fact, which is, the more you harvest lemon balm leaves, the better the flavor will be. If you neglect this flavorful plant by not harvesting, the leaves will become slightly bitter and “soapy” tasting. To get the best flavor out of lemon balm, shear it with scissors, cutting it down by half or more, at least once a month. You can safely harvest three-quarters of the plant every three or four weeks and not harm it. By harvesting often, you won’t have any problems with it reseeding itself.
Bees and butterflies love this plant, and honey from bees that have fed on lemon balm is heavenly. The herb dries well and can also be used in herb jellies, iced herb teas, and many, many other ways. Few insect pests bother lemon balm and it can be grown in the garden, in patio pots, along fence rows or in the perennial bed where the bright green leaves make everything around it look good.

Make Your Own Traditional Carmelite Water
(Also known as “Eau de Melisse des Carmes”)
This can be made from either dry or fresh herbs; if using fresh, use twice the amount listed.
o 1 1/4 cups vodka (to preserve the mixture)
o 3 tablespoons dried angelica root, or leaves and stalks
o 1/8 cup dried (or 1/4 cup fresh) lemon balm leaves
o 2 tablespoons lemon zest (avoid the pith)
Combine the herbs and vodka in a quart jar. Cover tightly and leave in a warm but dark place (pantry or cupboard) for two weeks. Jiggle or shake the jar slightly every day or two.
After two weeks, add the following:
o 1 tablespoon coriander seed, slightly crushed
o 1 whole nutmeg, cracked in a blender
o 2 tablespoons whole cloves
o 1 4-inch cinnamon stick
Leave for a week, then strain into a sterilized bottle and store in a cool place. Best if used within six months.

Lemon Balm Cookies Recipe
Enjoy the fresh taste of the lemon balm herb in these easy-to-make lemon balm cookies.

Yield: 18 cookies
o About 1/4 cup coarsely chopped lemon balm leaves
o 1 1/2 cups sugar
o 1 cup butter or margarine

4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between cookies. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until edges just begin to brown.
5. Loosen from cookie sheet while still warm; allow to cool. These cookies freeze well.

Lemon Balm Lemonade Recipe
The lemon balm adds a refreshing twist to this traditional summer beverage.
o 3 large lemons
o 1/2 cup lemon balm leaves
o 1/3 cup sugar
o 1 cup boiling water
o 3 additional cups cold water
o Ice
1. Slice lemons into a bowl and add the fresh lemon balm leaves.

Heartwings Love Notes 829 Flowers of Remembrance

Heartwings says, “The fragile nature of flowers reminds us of the brevity and of the preciousness of life.”

Memorial day was originally established with flowers. At the end of the Civil War the women who were placing flowers on the graves of those fallen at the battle of Shiloh wished not to distinguish between Union and Confederate. The thought was to honor those who died, regardless of their affiliation. In the years since, many traditions have grown up around Memorial Day in he US, with flowers and wreaths remaining the most notable symbols of remembrance.

Once as I was out walking in a neighborhood with many Christmas wreaths decorating the doors, a man came up to me and in a British accent, asked me about them. “In England we put a wreath on the door when people have died,” he said. I chuckled and said no, no one had died here, these were Christmas wreaths. I told him it was customary to lay wreaths on graves, however, first displaying them at the funeral itself.

A search on the Internet will reveal much information concerning wreaths and their uses, as well as flowers. Once when I was in charge of purchasing and arranging the flowers to decorate my daughter’s wedding celebration, I bought a variety of blossoms, chrysanthemums among them. My daughter’s husband was Italian and announced that chrysanthemums were only for funerals. I removed them, and my bouquets were significantly diminished.

In Italy laurel wreaths are given to graduates of advanced degrees; they are a sign of victory. This goes back to the early Greeks and Romans who used them that way. All over the world flowers too are often given to the graduates, and as well to actors and performers of all kinds at the conclusion of a performance. While they are ephemeral and fade quickly, the flowers we use to honor both the fallen and the victorious are a precious reminder of how important it is to take note of our achievements great or small.

May you find good ways to honor those you remember.

Blessings and Best Regards, Tasha Halpert

The Cat From Tomorrow Part 4.

Smith and Jones’ expressions were a sight to behold. Beth smiled and shook her head. “That cat has added a new talent, she said. Disappearing!”
“”I hope Mookie comes back,” Greg said.” Beth and I have grown very fond of him.”
Smith pulled out his device and frowned. He texted rapidly. Jones stared blankly out the living room window. Then he looked at Greg and pointed to Mookie’s toy bat. “That the one he uses.”
Greg nodded. “I’ve never seen a cat twist his tail around a bat that way.”
“Not a cat,” Jones said. Our take is an alien. From where is to be determined.”
Beth giggled. “You mean the planet’s going to be invaded by cats from outer space.”
`”Who hit home runs?” Greg added.
Smith put away one device and took another from his inside jacket pocket. At first it might have easily been mistaken for a pen. But on one side were small push buttons; on the reverse a small digital screen.
Greg reached out his hand. “May I see that?” he said.
Jones shook his head. “Sorry. Classified,” he said.
Smith held it at arms length and moved it around the room slowly at eye level. It seemed to blink occasionally. Greg wondered if it was registering something: sonic vibrations or some kind of energy.
Smith put it away and turned to Beth and Greg. He spoke slowly and carefully. “Please understand the significant uncertainty of today’s world. So many undisclosed incidents similar to what you just witnessed earlier from your cat. How long have you had him?””
“Not long at all,” Beth said. “Only since this past Wednesday.”
Smith sighed. “He’s not here, that cat’s well on his way to his next incarnation.”
“I don’t get what you’re saying,” Greg said. “You’re not paranoid about a cat are you?”
Smith waved away Greg’s comment. “No need for you to comprehend the intensity of this situation. Probably just as well you don’t, else you might not sleep all that well.”
Greg persisted. “But apparently the Feds must really think something’s up, sufficient at least to fund an agency and hire staff like you to find things out.”
“Something like that,” Smith said.
“On a need to known basis,” Jones said.
“I’m confused,” Beth shook her head.
“We all are,” Smith said. “Confusion is the bulwark of our agency. What we don’t know keeps us trying to figure things out.”
They headed for the door and Beth let them out.
“Funny how a cat can freak people out,” Greg said.
“Not just any cat,” Beth said. “Maybe only cats with specific skill sets. Let’s see what was posted on Facebook.”
But despite the pictures taken a the park and what people had said, nothing came up. Not one posting.
“Odd,” Greg said. “Very odd.
“Censorship,” Beth said.
Greg nodded. “Someone’s spending a lot of time and energy keeping Mookie far away from social media.”
That Sunday Beth had agreed to help out her friend Sara by working her late afternoon shift. Sundays at Wiggle’s were usually quiet. Today seemed no exception. Shortly after she arrived Smith and Jones appeared.
Beth wrinkled her nose. “Is that pot I’m smelling,” she asked.
“Catnip,” Smith said. “Guaranteed to make any nearby cat appear.”
“It sure smells like pot to me,” Beth said. “Why are you here?”
“Well it isn’t!” Jones was emphatic.
Beth sighed and raised her eyebrows. “You think he’ll come back?”
“Worth taking the time to wait it out,” Jones said. “And then when he does this time we’ll get a better hold on the situation.”
“So you’re following me thinking he might be close by.” Beth saw both federal agents had their hands close to their holsters and caught her breath. “You won’t kill him?”
“No way,” Jones said. “That cat’s too valuable to scientific research.
Jones took a small canister from his jacket. The label read Ode De La Feline. He sprayed here and there. Beth thought the scent was nauseating. “Management won’t like that! It smells awful.”
“Maybe to you but not to any felines. They go crazy and lose their focus. Make it easier for us.”
“Yes,” Smith agreed. “Science is always the answer.”
Greg sauntered over from where he had been shopping for cheese. He looked at Smith and Jones. “I thought you two would be headed back to DC with your tails between your legs.” He turned to Beth. “Someone smoking pot?”
“Sure smells like that,” Beth said.
“Catnip puree,” Smith said. “Entices any cat’s nervous system. Makes them easier to capture.”
Jones kept spraying, As he walked around people gave him strange looks.
Greg followed him. “Who authorizes you to interfere in people’s lives this way,” he said.
“Watch it buddy or I can have you held as an accessory.”
“To what?” Greg said.
“Interfering with a federal investigation. You clowns might not get it but our task is to protect all citizens from unknown situations beyond comprehension.”
“I’ve got a lawyer,” Greg said.
Jones smirked. “Where you’ll be going there are no lawyers.”
“That’s what your federal funding’s all about?” he asked. “Protecting people from what’s unknown and unsubstantiated
“Look at it this way,” Smith said. “Our agency is endorsed to sustain the constitution. We report directly to the Office of the President.””
“Oh,” Greg said. “That explains everything.”
Several cats had managed to get into the market and began stalking toward Smith and Jones, tails held high. Beth noticed one of the managers approaching and pointed this out. “What you’re saying sounds like gobbledy gook to me,” she said. “Here comes one of the managers.”
“”Don’t push me,” Jones face reddened.
“Sir,” the manager began. “You need to state your business.”
As Jones turned to say something, several cats closed in.
They hissed at Smith and Jones. Other cats appeared. They began surrounding the two men.
“Help! Feral cats,” Jones cried. One jumped on his shoulder, and began shredding his jacket. Two bit at his socks.
Jones tried kicking them away but more appeared and clung to his and Smith’s legs.
“Looks like your Ode de Feline really works,” Beth laughed.
“Retreat,” Smith cried out. He and Jones fled.
“But no Mookie,” Beth said.
“Not yet,” Greg said.
“Maybe never,” she sighed.
Outside in the parking lot behind the market many more cats appeared and jumped on the agent’s vehicle.

You Are Not Crazy
By Madisyn Taylor

Sometimes as adults, we just need a time out to refocus and gather ourselves before starting out again.
Most of us feel a little crazy from time to time. Periods of high stress can make us feel like we’re losing it, as can being surrounded by people whose values are very different from our own. Losing a significant relationship and moving into a new life situation are other events that can cause us to feel off kilter. Circumstances like these recur in our lives, and they naturally affect our mental stability. The symptoms of our state of mind can range from having no recollection of putting our car keys where we eventually find them, to wondering if we’re seeing things clearly when everyone around us seems to be in denial of what’s going on right in front of their eyes. For most of us, the key to survival at times like these is to step back, take a deep breath, and regain our composure. Then we can decide what course of action to take.

Sometimes a time-out does the trick. We take a day off from whatever is making us feel crazy and, like magic, we feel in our right mind again. Talking to an objective friend can also help. We begin to see what it is about the situation that destabilizes us, and we can make changes from there. At other times, if the situation is particularly sticky, we may need to seek professional help. Meeting with someone who understands the way the human mind reacts to stress, loss, and difficulty can make us feel less alone and more supported. A therapist or a spiritual counselor can give us techniques that help bring us back to a sane state of mind so that we can affect useful changes. They can also mirror our basic goodness, helping us to see that we are actually okay.

The main purpose of the wake-up call that feeling crazy provides is to let us know that something in our lives is out of balance. Confirm for yourself that you are capable of creating a sane and peaceful reality for yourself. Try to remember that most people have felt, at one time or another, that they are losing it. You deserve a life that helps you thrive. Try and take some steps today to help you achieve more balance and a little less crazy.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

You don`t think of yourself as stubborn, until you encounter situations such as those you`re currently facing. These are exciting, yet demand you relinquish control to certain individuals or, possibly, destiny itself. Letting go won`t be easy. Still, back off to the extent you can, simply because a breakthrough is in order, and that means doing things in ways that, otherwise, you`d never consider.

Financially, this could be something of a bumper week for you. As well as benefiting from a partner`s good fortune, a bonus for your hard work is on its way. You won`t be in a rush to spend this as currently, you`re more interested in balancing the books. An ambitious yet slightly naive friend will try to persuade you to enter a contract that has many loopholes. You aren`t taken in by fancy schemes, but it might be harder than you think to convince others of the risks they are taking.

It would be wholly understandable if you experienced something of a crash landing around Tuesday`s Full Moon. Having psyched yourself up to a special event over the weekend, the process of coming down from high emotion to a more measured one might not be at all easy. There might also be much information for you to process. A split within an organisation or a team is likely inevitable and need to be negotiated with care. This should see any diplomatic talents tested to the full. Yet by Friday, not only could you have formed a key alliance, you might also feel that you`ve been vindicated in some respect. Tensions should not just ease, but increase to a level that feels good for you. Recall, those born under Aries are suited to competition!

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

While your feelings of suspicion about ideas or offers that seem too good to be true are understandable, things really are that good; and maybe better. However, these amazing developments are taking place in the midst of unexpected changes. The fact is, what seems unwelcome, if not disruptive, is actually decluttering your thinking and life so you can focus on those thrilling, if often perplexing, events.

Your partner or best friend will be in a playful mood. You haven`t a clue what they`re going to do next. Instead of getting all uptight by this as you sometimes do, you might enjoy the freedom to be more creative. New ideas, activities and opportunities will excite you and if an exciting offer does come your way, you will want to commit yourself there and then. Use any opportunity to branch out into new areas. It`s time to shake things up.

Tuesday`s Full Moon accents an area of your chart associated with deeply committed partnerships. Career-wise, it may be that you`ve now identified exactly with whom you can work and with whom it is not possible to go any further. Either tying or untying knots will surely require care and, perhaps consideration of tax implications mid-week. By Friday however, you may feel particularly confident that you`ve made a promising alliance. It appears that someone, perhaps born under one of the Water signs of Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces, shares your vision. Though true, with Venus stationing in your opposite sign early in October the path ahead may not be smooth, you should nevertheless have identified exactly who it is that you want to have on your team. Though it might take some months to get them into perfect position, it seems likely that the effort is something you`re willing to put in.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Sometimes you can make bigtime decisions all at once. However, because the Gemini New Moon, with its accompanying clear perspective on present and future plans, isn`t until 13 June, both vital changes and the resulting insights will appear in stages. Knowing that, invest time in exploring unfamiliar ideas and pursuits, including those you`ve previously turned down. Your priorities are changing, as will the choices you make.

Work and other responsibilities are a pleasure. This is your chance to do something you`ve always wanted to do and get paid for it, too. There`s a strong mood of optimism in the air and it feels as if everything`s going right for you. Communications, either through letters, emails, business meetings or phone calls will be critical. Trust your intuition when you get a strong feeling about someone you are dealing with. This would be a good time to invest in a new laptop or mobile phone.

This week includes a Full Moon in your opposite sign on Tuesday. It`s possible that at least through until then, that you`ll be in a highly charged state. True, this may have more implication for your emotional rather than your career life but either way suggests less-than-ideal conditions for making major decisions. It`s probable though that following on from meetings at the end of last week and thoughts developed over the weekend, that there is much to think about. Pruning or cutting losses may be a factor. Before taking action, you might later regret, you could talk things through with someone born under one of the Cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn. This group, who often have extraordinary leadership abilities, may be able to help you identify which weaknesses can be strengthened and which would be better to be acknowledged as such and other people brought in to address. With that done, you could end this working week feeling confident that you`ve turned a corner.

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Obviously, when committing to life-changing plans, you`ll want guarantees about both the outcome and their stability. Judging by the current stunning planetary setup, these are as good as they seem. Still, with Tuesday`s Full Moon heightening your feelings, if you let them, those questions could turn into doubts. The trick? Busy yourself with absorbing activities, and those doubts will pass as swiftly as they appeared.

If a job vacancy that`s in keeping with your skill set catches your eye, fill out the application now. Arrange to meet a successful friend for coffee and they will give you some tips on how you might get the job. People who matter will put in a good word on your behalf. A home improvement project will be harder than it looks and may not turn out as hoped. There may be a need to call in a professional. The invoice for this work will arrive quickly so arrange your finances accordingly.

You likely won`t be the only sign requiring readjustment time. After recent events, not only might there be large-scale tidying up to do, but space needed to consider newly forged alliances. It might be as well to factor a celebration of some kind – for either 1st or 2nd June. You perhaps need to acknowledge a milestone. Note that Mars has now entered Aquarius and a sector of your solar chart connected with committed partnerships. It may be that over the next few months how you plan and work both with a partner and within a team will likely become more and more important. In fact, you might even consider choosing someone to act as mentor as you make these adjustments and make arrangements to meet this person frequently. (A therapist maybe?)

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Certain tricky issues really need a serious review; but something has always interfered. Now a catch-up session is timely. Unappealing as going over old ground is, a frank and detailed discussion is vital. This will ensure you`re informed about others` thinking and plans but, equally, you can update them on your vision. This process won`t just be interesting, it could revolutionise your perspective on contentious issues.

You`re in for an exciting time when your thoughts centre on a proposal recently put to you by your partner. If you haven`t yet responded to this offer, do so now. They knew you would be interested but they don`t want to force you and have to hear it from you. A bonus or raise that was promised to you, finally arrives. This will inspire you to book an overseas holiday, make some major improvements to your home or both.

Following Tuesday`s Full Moon, you may be super hungry for information. Yet it`s possible that you will be asking questions at precisely the wrong time. Certain people may be exhausted by recent events and perhaps need several days to process all that happened. The picture should be clearer by Friday, June 1st, but even then, full facts may not be known. It`s possible too, that given that Mars is now moving through your opposite sign, that at least one person feels you could have contributed more. Though it`s perhaps unnecessary for you to justify your position, it may be that this tension is simply part and parcel of greater changes occurring – all of which suggest that by the time the lunar node leaves your sign later in the year, that you will be working with a different team entirely. Career-wise it seems likely you are moving into a new arena.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

By no means have you been secretive. Rather, you`d sidestepped discussion of matters you feared would be provocative. While that made sense at the time, certain of these have taken centre stage and need to be talked over, both frankly and openly. Do exactly that. Others are aware of problems, so will be relieved things are out in the open, almost as much as you will be.

You find it hard to raise much enthusiasm for jobs you are committed to. Your reaction to new plans and ideas will also be quite negative. This is because you don`t want to take on anything more than you already have. It would be wonderful to give in to an impulse to get away from it all. Unfortunately, you keep reminding yourself of reasons why you can`t just drop everything and go. You`re very capable and conscientious but it might be time to delegate tasks to workmates and relatives.

You surely won`t be the only sign to undertake a post-event analysis following Tuesday`s Full Moon. Until then things could be moving very quickly indeed. There may be no time to reassess and essential to simply think on your feet. By the last day of May -and presumably by then aware of a paperwork (administrative) backlog, you might need support either with translating a document or making sense of figures which appear bizarre to say the least. Of course, it`s possible that others will lean on you to make sense of things quickly. They mark may wish to make early celebration. Counselling them to wait until you`ve had time to appraise things carefully could fall on deaf ears. At best, presumably you can only be cautiously optimistic. That said, an accolade could come your way. It may be that thanks to your acute observation, that a sensitive matter is resolved with relative ease.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Being a Libra, when making decisions you`ll generally compare notes with others, even if they`re not directly involved in the matters in question. Now, however, certain situations are sensitive, to the extent you simply can`t mention them to anybody. While challenging, the good news is, once these are settled, those decisions will be discussed widely. By then, however, you`ll have moved on to other things.

Self-doubt could be your biggest enemy. A lack of confidence might stop you taking up a one-time only offer. Friends will tell you you`ve made a mistake. You feel you`re making the right choice for this moment in time as you just aren`t ready. You`re finding it hard to concentrate. Try, if possible, to stick to chores that don`t require a lot in the way of deep thought. Weekend plans could end up different to what was expected due to extra company deciding to join you.

It would be understandable if you felt to come down to earth with a bump following Tuesday`s Full Moon. As with many other signs, you might need at least 24 hours after this Full Moon to process recent events. Whilst understanding the potential of a collaboration the implications of what this really means and how it will affect other relationships will surely take time to review. By Thursday however you should have a clear idea of what can be gained and how your research and development department can be re-energised. There may well be celebrations planned for Friday and linked to the enormous amount of work you`ve achieved in the second half of May. This though should be seen only as a staging post. Preparations then begin for the next stage of career development which will likely take place around the summer solstice on June 21. It`s entirely possible that someone born under Sagittarius will have a key role to play and that by using them as a mentor, you will ensure that gains made around this Full Moon are reinvested wisely.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

When late April`s Scorpio Full Moon brought numerous personal and practical matters and issues involving others to a head, you tackled each and assumed that was that. Since then, however, several of the planetary heavyweights have moved into new positions, and often substantially altered the balance in arrangements. Let them. Disruptive as this is now, some will soon lead to breakthroughs as thrilling as they are unexpected.

Someone you see almost every day shows a new side to their nature. You would never have expected them to behave the way they are acting now. This goes to show that no matter how much you think you know a person, it can never be completely. When your family or friends are stuck for ideas for a celebration, they might ask you for suggestions. Once you put your mind to it, you could come up with some great ideas.

It wouldn`t be surprising if, following Tuesday`s Full Moon, you needed time out to analyse exactly what the last few months have cost you both in terms of time and money. A process of re-evaluation might need to take place. As part and parcel of this exercise you might also consider which groups you are content to remain part of and those which you now need to leave. The arrival of Uranus in your opposite sign indicates rapid developments and even upheaval – and at many levels. Though it may not be possible to extricate yourself from something immediately, you could make clear your intentions to do so at an early opportunity. By Friday however congratulations could be headed your way. It may be only by then that certain people are aware of the massive contribution you`ve made and how different things would be without your input. A further possibility that day would be a tentative overture ask how interested you might be in – say in a year`s time – joining another group.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

You`re in the midst of a cycle of stunning growth. This ranges from past ideas coming good to thrilling offers or opportunities. Obviously, you`ll discuss these with others. If you`re seeking advice, make it clear. If not, and you`re simply being enthusiastic, make that clear, too. This avoids confusion and ensures those who actually can be of assistance won`t be hampered by others` good intentions.

Muddles, mix ups and misunderstandings are likely. The terms of a written or verbal offer could be confusing. If you haven`t got time to look into this and someone else is interested, step aside and let them take up the offer. You won`t be missing out on anything as you weren`t keen on it anyway. There`s a lot of gossip about and although you won`t believe everything you hear, you will take note of what sounds like a useful piece of information.

Tuesday`s Full Moon is in your sign and as you might expect, a tide could then turn. It may be that there is something to celebrate – though you might need to wait until Friday to do so. Disturbance mid-week is possible: possibly because a colleague needs time to gather their thoughts. By late Wednesday the news they bring could alter your perspective. The fact that this arrives after the Full Moon is a good thing in that the way in which the facts are presented to you should be in workable form. A partnership might well either change lane or move direction. Care will be needed. However, given the potential rewards of going with developments whilst acknowledging how tricky these might be to negotiate – at least until the summer solstice, – they may be well worth effort.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Because of your down to earth nature, your initial reaction to stunning ideas or offers is caution. These are taking you into new and possibly unfamiliar territory. The trick is to explore all you can but avoid commitments. The world around you is changing and so are your priorities, slowly but profoundly. By late June`s Capricorn Full Moon, both circumstances and your goals will be considerably clearer.

A loving relationship will become more meaningful as you discuss future plans together.. Cautious optimism is nothing to be ashamed of. Trust your instincts in romance even though you will occasionally feel nervous about acting on impulse. You haven`t forgotten something you said you would do for a friend even though it`s going to be hard to fit it into your agenda. You might end up wishing you hadn`t made the promise as now you feel you can`t let them down.

It seems likely that there`s been far more going on in the background than you could possibly have suspected. Developments in someone else`s working life will likely have considerable impact on your own. Though not everyone can have something to celebrate, it is likely that those of your sign will at least be acknowledging having reached a turning point by Friday. Something that been mooted for several years could now be realistic. It`s likely that plans cannot go ahead without your approval. Whilst there is much to suggest that extra work will come your way from mid- week, it may be that deals can be concluded by the middle of next month. Interestingly, this seems set to coincide with another development – possibly linked to education and which would put you in the role of guide or mentor.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

Recent planetary shifts triggered dramatic and, mostly, welcome changes in elements of your life. Some have been easy to deal with, others somewhat perplexing. While you`ve managed to reorganise the practical side of things, personal matters are something else entirely. While this may be puzzling, the changes you make will be stunningly rewarding. Begin exploring your options now. What you discover will be as thrilling as it is unexpected.

You don`t want to spend a lot of time socialising. Unusual for you, perhaps, but you just want to while away the hours with one special person and enjoy a little peace and quiet. Romantic evenings will take the pressure off daily life. Better still, sneak off to a private hideaway with your beloved. A friend will tell you that you need to get out more after you turn down a party invitation. You disagree. You intend to take this opportunity to relax and recharge your batteries.

It`s entirely possible that other people will think you`ve `gone off on one` especially around Tuesday`s Full Moon. Recall that Mars is now travelling through your sign. It`s probable that your will and determination are not far from the surface. Others could find this a difficult energy to deal with. If you`re involved in anything that might be considered political this could be a difficult time. It might also be that there is much going on beneath the surface but that getting a handle on facts is hard. It`s unlikely that this situation will resolve for some weeks yet. It might be wise then to hold energy in reserve for next month when your particular perspective should seem far more attractive than it is presently. For now, it may be better to let others have their way. Indeed, it`s possible that more than one group will be celebrating an apparent success rather too early. Though you may not be able to stop this, you can at least keep your ear to the ground for developments that will likely take net place next week and which will bring about a complete sea-change in thinking and demand for overhaul.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

For ages you`ve sensed that certain complex issues on the domestic or work front would require serious discussion and an extensive rethink; but, also, you`ve been aware others` views differ from yours. Now the mood has shifted, to the extent that your suggestions about both talking things over and potential changes would be welcome. This mood won`t last for long. Move swiftly, before it shifts again.

You may not like what people suggest but it will soon become clear that life will be easier if you go along with their ideas.. Someone who is used to getting their own way will get argumentative and hostile when people disagree with them. An older relative is making a big thing out of a domestic matter that you feel is trivial. Do what is necessary to keep the peace, but nothing more. It might feel as if you are giving in to them, but this also helps you avoid any trouble.

Tuesday`s Full Moon is in another of the Mutable signs and accents the backbone of your solar chart. As is normal for this time of year, a reassessment of goals and objectives is probable. This year you could be decidedly unsettled by news that develops over the weekend and which leaves you puzzled as to which direction colleagues are likely to take. In all probability they to need a few days to get to grips with new ideas and perhaps, the realisation that some working partnerships are now past their sell by dates. New alliances now need to form but perhaps can`t do so for some months. One of your many tasks – not just for this week – but between now and the end of June, will surely be to allow others to express their feelings but also to alert them to the high possibility of self- sabotage if they are too precipitate in their reactions.
