Light A Candle Today!
In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

Lily trumpets of summer give way
to queen’s lace edging early harvest,
no carrots here, but hay and clover.
Peaches and corn beckon from farm stands
baskets of blueberries glisten midnight blue
next to squash and early apples.
The gnarled tree in my great grandfather’s
orchard drops its sweet yellow apples,
first of many varieties he planted.

between spikes of goldenrod.
September croons in the wind.
Its time is coming sooner than we know.

August 10, 2020 – August 16, 2020
We get a little break from 2020 but not until a couple of difficult aspects are done with us. A square between Mercury and Uranus proves to be dicy. These guys bring extremely impulsive and scattered energy. Intense thoughts that are difficult to control pollute your mind. Stay ‘rooted’ in the now to minimize the mental anxiety they trigger. Also, keep your mouth shut. Impulsive bursts lead to regret later. During the middle of the week, Mars forms a nasty square to Pluto. Power struggles, especially on the career front pop up. You may also feel at odds with others and this could easily cause conflict. Avoid shady and manipulative people!
Now for the good news. After the darkness comes the light. The Sun and Mercury form a lovely trine to Mars in Aries. It’s a great weekend to just be yourself and enjoy living. If obstacles do arise, you should be able to handle them easily. Coventry candles for the week are Blessed Herbal Protection, Hoo Doo Uncrossing, Reversal, and Wicked Witch Everything and Then Some.
You are so amazing you deserve a hype man.
When you are this good, it’s time to sing your praises.
Everyone has their specialty, their superpower as it were. Especially right now with how much the world is catawampus, we have all tapped in inner power and honed it to forward our survival in body, mind, and spirit.
I gotta be me!
It’s Leo Season now and although the first part of the month will continue the difficult trend of the last two months, relief is on the way! We don’t want you to miss the real opportunity of Leo just because it’s been one of the most misunderstood signs of the zodiac.
Perseid Meteors 2020
All you need to know
The annual Perseid meteor shower is one of the most beloved meteor showers of the year. It’s rising to its peak now and will probably produce the greatest number of meteors on the mornings of August 11, 12 and 13. On the peak mornings in 2020, the moon will be at or slightly past its last quarter phase, casting its light in the sky after midnight, the best time for watching meteors. But Perseid meteors tend to be bright. Many will overcome the moonlight.
Tarot Card Of The Week
Four Of Pentacles Reversed
What’s most important to you?
The reversed Four of Pentacles can show up when you are evaluating what’s important to you, especially in money and wealth.
You may have placed too much value on material possessions and are realizing that money and ‘things’ won’t make you happy.
Loosen your grip on the need to surround yourself with ‘things’, and seek out more love and happiness in your life.
You might feel compelled to de-clutter your home or opt for a minimalist lifestyle. Money is no longer your number one priority, and you are redefining your relationship with material possessions and money.
This might also signify that money is slipping through your fingers, and your spending habits exceed your savings. You may be spending unconsciously, hoping it will bring happiness, but all it does is bring you more stress and anxiety as your bank balance declines.
Check-in with yourself and your spending habits. Find some balance here.
Ask the Tarot: What am I clinging to, and how might I loosen my grip?
The Value of Everyday Tasks
Heartwings says, “Paying attention to what needs doing keeps us focused.”
Stephen does his part in keeping up with the daily chores, however, I never mind doing them. They help me cope. The news these days is so terrifying that it does not bear thinking about. The future is cloudy at best. As I get older each tweak of an ache or pain could mean some kind of incipient illness. Life is fraught with pitfalls holding deep despair. When I focus on the feeling of the hot water on my hands as I scrub the egg from our breakfast plates, I am greatly comforted.
It’s such a little thing to make sure I get all of the egg off each plate, yet it needs my full attention. There are other things that function the same way. For instance, doing the laundry or watering the plants. Though I no longer have a garden to tend, I still have plants, and they require my full attention. Actually, my email is sort of like a garden these days. There are plenty of weeds to be removed: ads for goods I might have bought at one time; people urging me to vote for or contribute to a candidate; notices from organizations seeking my support-the list is endless and so are these weeds.
Then there are the garden plants to be watered and sometimes fertilized: my friends far and near need to be emailed and responded to. There are helpful articles or other information to be forwarded for friends’ edification and/or enjoyment. There is news to be shared of each other’s activities, and of course, doctor’s notices to be reviewed. Once again, the list goes on. A garden of any sort needs daily attention. If I leave it for long, it piles up to an impossible extent and I can’t tend it properly.
As I move through my day, I keep my focus on these humble chores. They act as a kind of shield against all that I cannot control or do anything about, or that which has not happened and indeed may not. Again and again, rather than think about an unknown, possibly dire future, I return my thoughts to what comes next on my list of tasks. And from time to time I gaze out a window at the lovely sunlight filtering through the green leaves and the pretty blue sky above, or even the rain, and I give thanks that in this present moment, all is well.
May you find ways to remain focused in the midst o all that happens, and see beauty to comfort your heart.
Blessing and best regards, Tasha Halpert

A Serenity Spell
By James Kambos
In the country, where you can truly experience the season, a sweet serenity settles over the land now. The harvest is underway, and nature begins to relax. This is also a good time for you to experience a little serenity.
Perform this spell outside in the evening. If that’s not possible, perform it at your altar. You’ll need a calming herb, such as lavender, fresh or dried. Sit on the ground or floor. Inhale the herb’s scent and say:
Earth spirit, serenity has
settled over you.
Earth spirit, share your calming
energy with me too.
Feel the earth’s energy flow into you. Feel it enter your spine, your arms, your neck, etc. Do shoulder rolls. Allow your neck to go limp. Stay in this state for as long as it’s comfortable.
Return to your normal state. Leave the herb as an offering. You should now feel a sense of peace and calm.
Sacred Waters, Charged Waters
By Susan Pesznecker
Water is essential to all life and has a regular use in every kind of spellcraft. Collecting sacred or special waters from various locations and charging them before use just adds to their oomph.
Begin by keeping a couple of small bottles or vials tucked into your purse, glove box, backpack, etc., so you’ll always be ready to collect. Take samples of waters that have meaning to you: for instance, water from wells or springs, samples of rivers and oceans visited, rainwater that falls during powerful storms, or melt from the first snow. I collected a piece of ice from a glacier during a trip to Iceland!
To charge your waters, let the jars sit out under the desired conditions (direct sunlight, full moonlight, lightning storm, etc.), particularly on significant dates or during specific astronomical alignments.
Bottle each water and label carefully (because they all look alike). Use them to add strength to your spells and potions.
Cool Head Spell
By Laura Tempest Zakroff
There is something about August that makes tempers and troubles rise. Whether because of hot, strong winds or high temperatures, or the gaze of Leo the Lion, August seems to bring an uptick in violence and disagreements. To keep your cool, head to your freezer and grab an ice cube. (You may wish to wrap it up in some cloth or use tongs when you do this spell.)
With the ice cube, draw the shape of a pentagram at each part of the body as named here, saying:
When violence threatens, may
my hands work for peace.
When rage consumes, let my
heart soothe the burns.
When tempers flare, may my
lips speak healing words.
When the heat rises, my mind
shall be cool and calm.
If any of the ice remains, allow it to melt in a cup. Then pour it as an offering to a nearby plant.
Fire Up Your Will
By Melissa Tipton
Fire is symbolic of our will: the ability to direct our energy to create desired change. The more focused this energy is, the more potent our efforts will be. This spell will illuminate obstructions to your will and help you transform them with fire.
Light a red candle in a holder and focus on the flame. Hold your hands near the warmth and feel the energy travel up your arms and into your body, suffusing your entire being. Say:
Fire, fire, show me true,
Where my will is thrown askew.
Obstructions I now see most clear,
And the highest good comes into view.
Spend time in meditation, open to thoughts, feelings, and guidance. When you identify an obstacle or distraction, draw in more fire energy and infuse the obstacle, seeing and/or feeling it transform. You might receive guidance for practical changes needed to back up this energetic transformation, so be sure to take appropriate action following the meditation.
Break a Habit
By Tess Whitehurst
The Aquarius full moon is perfect for setting in motion positive changes that require a fresh perspective and an improved frame of mind, which includes breaking habits that no longer serve us.
Ideally under the light of the full moon, stand on the earth barefoot. Hold a glass bottle of water in both hands. Relax and center your mind. Get in touch with the energy of the habit you want to break. Feel or sense it as roots, cobwebs, or cords in your aura, attached to the habit. Mentally send this energy out of your body and into the water through your hands. When this feels complete, pour the water out onto the soil, feeling lighter and freer as you do so. Then safely light a stick of palo santo wood, and smudge your body. Feel and sense the smoke balancing, repairing, and recalibrating your energy field. Give thanks to the full moon.
Deep, Bright, Healing Spell
By Thuri Calafia
Sometimes life gives us more than we can handle and we need to take some time to ourselves to relax and heal. Sometimes we can aggravate the situation by doing things that aren’t in our best interest (such as sugar bingeing or smoking too much when we’re hurting emotionally), and it can be difficult to find the strength to break those bad habits. For this spell, take a simple clear quartz crystal and program it to help give you strength by reminding you of your self-love and care. Program the crystal by holding it in your left (or most receptive) hand, then focus deeply, visualizing energy flowing from your right hand into the crystal in your left hand. While doing so, say:
Great goddess, make me strong now.
Great god, please make me brave.
Lord and Lady, help me remember
Whose life and love I save.
For I am worth the effort,
For the gods have made me, so
I know that we can heal my life
And together, make me whole!
Keep the crystal on your person and visualize yourself healed and thriving, repeating the chant as necessary.
Creating a Nightly Ritual
By Madisyn Taylor
Bedtime can be a perfect time for a nighttime ritual of sending love to the world and finding gratitude for your day.
At the end of the day, as the sweet, dark stillness of night beckons us to lay down our bones and rest, we find ourselves at a clear transition point: Behind us lies the previous day and all that has come before; ahead of us, dawn heralds the unfolding of all that is yet to be. While many of us have morning rituals that connect us with our center and help us to set intentions, we may want to explore the magic and power of nighttime ritual as well. It holds for us a beautiful chance for self-appreciation and blessing. Before you go to bed each night, you can send gratitude, compassion, and healing to the being you have been up until this moment. And you can send lightness and love into the future for the one you are in the process of becoming.
Though simple, this action honors the journey you have taken thus far, while opening you to the wonderful possibilities still ahead. When you consciously engage with your own evolution this way, you may find that your sleep gets sweeter, filling your night with a deeper sense of trust and relaxation. As you rest, you can surrender to these peaceful hours, knowing that the road behind you has been seen and acknowledged with respect and kindness, while the path ahead now holds your own benevolence and well wishes.
This bedtime ritual empowers you as the only one who can determine the meaning of your own past and the hopefulness of your future. By setting this special time aside each night, you can begin to orient yourself on your path of growing. It allows you to let the past have its place, to trust that the future is taken care of, and to simply rest yourself in the graceful arms of the present moment.
Don’t Get Petfished! Vets and Celebrities Lead Public Warnings Against ‘Cruel and Opportunist’ Lockdown Pet Sellers
Share your love for cats!
Vets, charities and animal-loving celebrities including Kirsty Gallacher, Amanda Holden, Paul O’Grady and David Gandy call for public to ‘research pet sellers thoroughly online before buying’
Prospective puppy and kitten owners warned of risks of being ‘Petfished’ when buying a pet online following lockdown demand surge
Concerns over anticipated spike in online pet listings now restrictions have easedVets, charities and animal-loving celebrities have joined forces with a government campaign to warn prospective pet owners against unknowingly buying puppies, kittens, cats and dogs from unscrupulous sellers amid a rise in demand for pets since lockdown.
An open letter, signed by celebrities including Kirsty Gallacher, Paul O’Grady, Amanda Holden and David Gandy, and supported by charities including Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, the Blue Cross, Cats Protection, Dogs Trust and the RSPCA, is calling on the public to research sellers thoroughly online before buying.
These warnings follow continued demand for pets since lockdown eased, with online marketplace Preloved reporting that the number of pet listing has increased by nearly 50 per cent since March. They are anticipating a further boom in adverts throughout the summer.
Pets4Homes has also said that they are experiencing not only a six-fold increase in new user accounts, but an average of 155 views per new pet advert. Both Preloved and Pets4Homes are supporting the government’s Petfished campaign, which urges people to stop and ask: ‘Who’s the person behind the pet?’.
Despite a huge 125% increase in adverts posted across online marketplaces during lockdown for puppies, kittens, dogs and cats, demand continues to outstrip supply.
However, the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) has advised that vets are dealing with ongoing cases where owners have been sold sick puppies and kittens by unscrupulous dealers as a result of new owners not researching sellers before buying their new pet.
Chief Veterinary Officer Christine Middlemiss said:
“Prospective pet owners must beware of sinister sellers out there who breed animals purely for profit with zero concern for their welfare. The devastating consequences include crippling vet bills and, in the worst cases, animals having to be put down.
“It’s vitally important that people not only research the breed of animal they want but also the person selling it to them.”
Animal Welfare Minister Lord Goldsmith said:
“At this time when more people are looking for pets it is more important than ever that buyers do their research and ensure they go to a reputable seller.
Following the introduction of Lucy’s Law earlier this year, everyone must now buy directly from breeders or consider adopting from rescue centres. So please look out for the warning signs and report any suspicious activity.”
TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher, who has two dogs, British bull dog Betsy and French bull dog Bertie, said:
“My dogs mean the world to me and pets bring joy to so many. It’s shocking to hear the lengths deceitful sellers go to when selling pets and sadly this can mean animals come from low-welfare conditions with distressing consequences.”
“As pet lovers, we should take responsibility by always researching the seller before buying a new pet to ensure our four legged friends live happy and healthy lives.
The letter, also signed by former international rugby players Chris Robshaw and Sam Warburton, is part of the government’s ‘Petfished’ campaign – a play on ‘catfishing’, where a stranger creates a fictional online persona to lure someone into a relationship – deceitful pet sellers use a similar tactic to ‘Petfish’ unsuspecting buyers.
Following Lucy’s Law – meaning it is now illegal to sell a kitten or puppy you haven’t bred – the Petfished campaign calls for consumers to remain vigilant, always researching the seller before visiting, reporting suspicious adverts and crucially be prepared to walk away and report suspected cases of animal abuse to the RSCPA or, if witnesses, the police.
British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) President Ian Ramsey said:
“Vets are continuing to see many owners who have been sold very sick puppies by unscrupulous dealers simply because new owners have not researched the seller before buying their pet.
Taste-Tempting Fruit Vinegar
An addiction to gardening is not all bad when you consider the other choices in life.—Cora Lea Bell
The peaches are ripe and luscious, the market is displaying beautiful raspberries, blueberries, and cherries, and your garden is full of fresh herbs. Use them, along with a variety of spices, to make flavored vinegars that will spark salads and fruit dishes in months to come. Start now, and you’ll have a shelf of wonderful taste-tempters (and delightfully unique gifts) all winter.
Make Fruit-Flavored Vinegar with Fresh Herbs
You’ll need fruit and herbs (suggestions below), vinegar, and lidded containers.
Select jars and lids (pint, quart, half-gallon: size depends on the amount of fruit you’re working with). Wash and scald.
Pit the fruit if necessary, cut it up, or mash it lightly. Wash the fresh herbs and bruise lightly.
Heat the vinegar to just below boiling.
Put fruit and herbs into jars and cover completely with hot vinegar. Leave 1/4? head space.
Put on the lid and set the container in a dark, cool place, shaking or stirring every day and making sure that the vinegar covers the fruit and herbs. Steep as long as a month, checking for flavor.
When the flavor suits you, remove fruit and strain through a coffee filter until vinegar is clear.
Rebottle in washed, scalded jars. Label. Best to store in refrigerator (up to 6 months).
Use apple cider vinegar with these fruits and herbs:
Raspberries, lemon thyme, and rosemary
Cherries, tarragon, and anise hyssop
Cranberries, mint, orange peel, cinnamon stick
Use white wine or champagne vinegar with these combinations:
Peaches, opal basil, cinnamon stick
Raspberries, fragrant rose petals, rose geranium
Strawberries, mint, candied ginger
Strawberries, peaches, opal basil, candied ginger
Disarming the Know-It-All
By Madisyn Taylor
People that are know-it-alls are simply stuck in a pattern and may actually have feelings of low self worth.
Most of us have encountered a person in our lives who can accurately be referred to as a know-it-all. This person seems to know everything about anything that gets brought up and tends to dominate the conversation. They don’t take well to being questioned, and they have a hard time ever admitting that they were wrong.
Being around a know-it-all is inevitably tiring because there is no shared energy between the two of you. Rather, you become an audience member to this person’s need to be the center of attention. Attention and respect are probably the two things this person most longs for, and at some point in their lives, they learned that knowing it all was the way to get those needs met. Over time, they have become stuck in this pattern, regardless of the fact that it is no longer working. They may feel afraid of the experience of listening, being receptive, or learning something new, because it’s so unfamiliar.
On the one hand, when we see the childlike need underneath the know-it-all’s mask of confidence, we feel compassion for the person, and we may tolerate their one-sided approach to conversation out of a desire not to hurt their feelings. On the other hand, we may be feeling drained and tempted to avoid this person altogether. In the middle of these two possible ways of feeling, we may actually like this person and wish for a closer relationship. If we come from a place of kindness, we might attempt to bridge the gap that this person’s habitual way of relating creates. Simply expressing a desire to be closer may open their heart, and give you a chance to ask for what you need in the relationship–a chance to contribute.
by Stephen Halpert
Several months had passed since the night of Gilberto’s accident and subsequence convalescence. He felt healthier, stronger and more energetic. The intermittence headaches, however, remained. As he and Maria sat in her office, his therapist urged more rest.
“That’s all you ever say, more rest, more rest” Gilberto said indignantly.
Maria looked concerned. “But ultimately he’ll be all right?”
“Let’s hope,” his therapist said. “Healing takes its time, especially with the brain. I keep telling him that rest is essential.”
Maria frowned. “Getting him to rest is like holding back the ocean.”
When they returned home, the TV was on, Rosa was knitting and Joey was in his usual place stretched out on the puffy sectional before the wide screen.
“Did you finish your chores,” Gilberto said?
Joey nodded. “I collected all the trash and took it outside to the waste bin.”
Gilberto nodded. He took Maria aside. “I think we need to do something revolutionary.”
Her eyes widened.
“A boy his age needs someone to care for. He needs a dog.”
She looked horrified. “There goes the carpeting and the furniture.”
Gilberto shrugged. “We can always buy new furniture. But it’s important he do more than take out the trash and help pick up the place.”
Maria sighed. “Its such lovely furniture.”
“But that’s all it is, furniture. A child needs to be active. Caring for his dog might be the answer.”
She sighed again. “If you say so.” She didn’t seem convinced.
That Saturday they visited a kennel in Newton. “Ramon says they have the finest pedigreed breeds,” Gilberto said.
Maria tugged at his arm. “We could go to the pound. Mixed breeds are generally quite intelligent, loyal and very loving; plus, a lot less expensive than those little snobs.”
Gilberto shook his head. “But you never know who the parents are?”
“They strike me as persnickety,” she said peering at the different dogs. Let’s let Joey decide. After all it will be his dog.”
Gilberto grinned. “Unless we want a pair to breed.”
She gasped. “You’re out of your mind.” Her tone reminded him of the way Rosa talked to Ramon. “What happens when the honeymoon’s over and he begins to lose interest?” she asked. “Who do you suppose gets stuck with feeding and caring for two or more?”
Gilberto raised his eyebrows. “You think something like that could happen?”
“I know it would. But before we finalize anything let’s take him to the pound and let him at least look around.”
Gilberto sighed. “Okay.”
“Good,” Maria said. Let’s go pick him up from school.”
“See if you see one you’d like as your pet,” Gilberto told Joey as they climbed out of his car.
Maria had feared that Joey would be drawn to some gigantic, oversized creature who would eat them out of house and home. “Wonderful,” she said, when he was drawn to a small, sniveling, brown and black colored Silky Terrier named Oscar, that jumped all over Joey as if he were his long-lost friend.
Joey squealed delightedly when Oscar wagged his stub of a tail and covered him in doggie kisses. Oscar was checked by the vet; Gilberto made a donation; and they drove home.
“He’s yours,” Gilberto said emphatically as he opened the door. “Remember now every day, rain or shine he’ll need to be walked at least two or three times, brushed, fed and always given water. He’s yours and yours alone.”
Joey nodded eagerly. Maria’s eyebrows went up at how responsible her son was behaving. Maybe Gilberto was right. Maybe this was exactly what was needed to awaken something deep within him. She prayed this new found devotion would last.
On their way home Gilberto had stopped at Pet Heaven and bought some toys and a dog bed for Oscar. “I think you’re being extravagant,” Maria said. Little did she know.
“And you can sleep with me in my bed,” Joey told Oscar who made little sounds and wagged his tail.
“Now just one minute,” Maria said.
Instead of arguing, Joey looked pleadingly at Gilberto.
Gilberto smiled. “Give it a try. Let’s just hope Oscar doesn’t snore. We bought a bed just in case.”
“Snore?” Joey sounded surprised. “Do dogs snore, Gilberto?”
“That we’ll have to find out. But yes, most dogs do which is why they usually have their own bed and sleep in the kitchen.”
Several days later two packages arrived in the mail. One was big, bulky and heavy. The other was small and Gilberto tucked it away in his top bureau drawer.
Excitedly Joey opened what turned out to be a professional soccer ball.
Joey’s eyes bulged. “Can I kick it?”
Gilberto smiled and nodded. “Yes, when we go outside and run around on the esplanade.” Oscar sniffed the ball, wagged his tail and looked expectantly to see what was next.
Maria spoke up. “No kicking the ball in the condo.” She shook her finger. “You could break a window.” Gilberto looked like he wanted to interrupt her, but she went on. “I don’t want him kicking a ball in the condo.”
Gilberto grinned. “I always did,” he said. “How do you think…”
Marria frowned. “No,” she said. “Please. It’s uncivilized.”
Oscar began to whine, and Joey knew it was time for his walk. “Please don’t fight,” he said. “It really bothers Oscar.”
“I’ll go with you,” Maria said. We’ll decide where it’s safe to walk him.”
Later that night after Joey and Oscar were asleep. Gilberto joined Maria on the couch. “You haven’t said if I’ve won you yet.”
She smiled. “You remember everything.”
“I have to. It’s the way my mind works.” He handed her the small box that had come in the mail. “For you. Assuming you want it.”
Carefully, she opened it. Her eyes widened. She turned and looked at him. “Is that really a diamond?”
He nodded. “Isn’t that what a man gives a woman when they get engaged?”
“It’s so big.”
“Not compared to what I could have bought you.”
She sighed. “Any bigger than this and I’d need a bodyguard.”
He took it from the box and slid it onto the third finger of her left hand. “I’m your bodyguard.”
“It fits me perfectly. How did you know that?”
“Remember when I put a rubber band around your finger?”
She laughed. “Oh Gilberto…” Then she burst into tears. “Oh, Gilberto, I love you so. You’re so impetuous. I love that about you.”
“Good,” he said. “That’s my way, the way I am.” His eyes dampened. He choked up. Handing her a tissue, he took one for himself.
He looked deep into her eyes. “So now all we have to do is announce we’re engaged.”Then they embraced and kissed and stayed that way until the morning light first dawned.

Challenging aspects make the next four weeks a time to protect and be cautious about relationships, finances, home and loved ones. On Thursday this week, we have the first of three bombshells involving Mars and Pluto. Oy! Avoid threatening situations or potential violence. (Seriously.) At the end of the week, Uranus goes retrograde for the rest of the year. (Note; When any planet is retrograde it’s time for a review.) The five-month retrograde of Uranus is our chance to sort out the surprises and changes that we experienced this year. Meanwhile, Mars in Aries strengthens this Leo Sun and boosts our energy, self-confidence and sex drive! (Come on… sex is after five and before seven.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
You’ve got a lot of energy with your ruler Mars in your sign – no question. (In fact, you might want to get some physical exercise to blow off any pent-up steam building within you.) Meanwhile, this is a positive week! Social get-togethers, sports events, playful activities with kids and everything to do with the arts and the entertainment world will delight you. You’re up for some fun! Enjoy entertaining at home as well as redecorating projects. However, on Wednesday and definitely Thursday you might have a tough time with authority figures. Cool your jets. Be considerate to others. Bite your tongue if you feel angry. Avoid fights and confrontations with others. (It’s a brief but tough window.)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Home, family and domestic matters continue to be your prime concern. Many of you are rolling up your sleeves and tackling hands-on work at home or within the family. Fortunately, Venus will sweeten your words making you diplomatic and charming with everyone you meet. Yay! This is a solid productive time for you, and you will get a lot done, primarily at home or with real estate or family members. Midweek on Wednesday and especially Thursday, quarrels with others might erupt. They could be nasty. Try not to let this get out of hand because you will only regret it later. Your impulse will be to say or do something that is beneath you. Forewarned is forearmed!
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
For the most part, this is a fabulous week because it’s busy, and stimulating and full of chances to meet new faces, see new places and learn new things! (All favourite choices!) You might also attract money to you, and enjoy buying beautiful things for yourself and loved ones. Well, that was the good news. Here’s the bad stuff: On Wednesday and certainly Thursday, difficulties with a friend or a group, club or organization might be untenable. You will hit a brick wall. The harder you fight, the more they will fight back. It’s not good. Avoid this if you can. And also, avoid dangerous neighbourhoods or potentially violent situations. Be smart.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
This is a charming week because fair Venus is in your sign paving the way for all your relations with everyone. Because you have such excellent people skills this week, it’s the perfect time to make peace with enemies or friends who are tough to deal with. This is also an excellent week to buy wardrobe goodies. However, nothing is ever perfect, right? Midweek on Wednesday and especially Thursday, you might have a serious power struggle with a boss, parent, teacher, VIP or member the police. It could be about money, earnings or something that you own. And yes, it could be nasty and ruthless. During this window of time – avoid dangerous places. Avoid crime-ridden areas. Avoid potentially violent situations. Serious arguments about belongings and money are not be worth it. (Think about this.)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You are energized because the Sun and Mercury are in your sign, getting a boost from fiery Mars! This means you have physical energy as well as intellectual drive! Oh yeah – you’re PowerPoint on steroids! Obviously, you will accomplish a lot this week, especially dealing with foreign countries as well as doing work in publishing, the media, medicine and the law. You will make yourself proud! However, there is one serious glitch: On Wednesday and definitely Thursday, serious disagreements about politics, religion or racial issues might erupt. They could be nasty and ruthless. No matter what your views or how passionate you feel about something, this is not the time to get involved. Avoid these disagreements. Also, avoid dangerous places and people. Be smart.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You are still playing things low-key and choosing to work alone or behind the scenes before your birthday arrives. (Smart.) Furthermore, relations with friends and groups are positive. This is good. You can make great headway doing research. However, a challenging astrological influence occurs midweek on Wednesday and Thursday, when you might have serious confrontations or arguments about inheritances, shared property or insurance issues. These disputes are basically about the wealth of your partner or someone else (including the government). These disputes will be nasty. They could be aggressive, even dangerous. Therefore, stay chill and don’t get involved. Do what you can to remain calm and stay safe. Avoid dangerous people.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
This is a lovely popular week for you! You will enjoy the company of others, especially younger people whether in person or on-line. In fact, people want to hear what you have to say, and with Venus at the top of your chart, you are admired! This is why someone will ask for your advice about how to make something more attractive. Oh yeah, you’re the expert! Having said that, midweek there is a stressful time, possibly Wednesday and definitely Thursday when disputes with partners and close friends will be nasty and potentially violent. Avoid this like the plague. Hide somewhere. Don’t get involved.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You continue to make a fabulous impression on others because the Sun is still at the top of your chart thrusting you in a flattering spotlight. (You’ve never looked better. Well, maybe.) Obviously, this is the time to make your pitch and ask your boss for permission or approval for whatever you want. Travel for pleasure will appeal. In fact, romance with someone “different” might begin. However, serious confrontations with someone at work or possibly related to your health or a pet might take place on Wednesday or Thursday this week. This is something you do not need. For a few of you, these confrontations will be violent. Therefore, step aside. Do not get involved.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This is a positive time for you because both the Sun and Mercury are in your “home” stirring your desire to travel and experience new things and new ideas. You will love meeting new people, especially from different backgrounds and other countries. Study and writing will be productive and enriching. This is a wonderful time to broaden your knowledge! A word of warning: Midweek on Wednesday and definitely Thursday, difficulties with your kids or with a romantic partner or a social occasion might take place. These difficulties will be nasty. Serious power struggles! In a few cases, they will be violent. Therefore, avoid taking a stand about anything during this window of time. Avoid dangerous neighbourhoods or potentially dangerous situations. Seriously. Just those two days.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
This week, you’re on top of your game! You have great ideas about how to secure your future in a solid way. Furthermore, you feel passionately about your approach to doing this. Meanwhile, partners and close friends are supportive and with you all the way. However, midweek on Wednesday and especially Thursday, serious disputes might take place within the family or at home. They could be terrible. In a few instances, they will be violent. Obviously, you want to avoid this. If you see this storm beginning to brew – run away! Don’t put fuel on this fire. Avoid this tension and be strong and resolute by yourself.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Despite the fact that you need more sleep, relations with partners and close friends are delightful. You’re eager to discuss important issues and others are just as eager to share their ideas with you. Relations with coworkers are positive. In fact, praise will come your way and for some of you, perhaps a raise! Nevertheless, there is a dangerous window midweek on Wednesday and especially Thursday when aggressive negotiations could get nasty. These negotiations will include discussions, arguments and physical confrontations – even driving. (This is the classic time when you could encounter road rage.) It will be dangerous. Some people will get hurt. Do what you can to be calm, peaceful and safe midweek for your own welfare.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Suddenly, you are all systems go! You’ve got an agenda and you want to get things done. You feel good about yourself, which is why you will be productive. (It’s a pleasant vicious circle.) Make lists and set the bar high. Fear not because all is not work and no play! Venus will attract fun, social times and hot romance! Having said this, midweek on Wednesday and especially Thursday, nasty discussions about money, earnings, possessions or even values might take place. They could become nasty. They could be horrible power struggles. In a few cases, they will be violent. You don’t need this. Obviously, do what you can to remove yourself from dangerous situations, people or neighbourhoods. Stay safe!
Monthly Horoscopes For August 2020
If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.
Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.
Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19
Your horoscope for this month:
In early July, your ruler Mars moved into Aries, kick-starting a cycle of questioning, exploration and discovery. Some of what`s arisen wasn`t new; but demanded you rethink existing arrangements. During August, surprise encounters bring unexpectedly liberating insights. These lead to exploration, especially of activities or, possibly, alliances that didn`t work in the past or, alternatively, are so new you`re unsure what to do. The solution? Regard events an adventurous tour, not only of new places but also of exciting experiences and enriching encounters.
Keep your thoughts to yourself at the start of August as tempers could be running high. It`s better to maintain a diplomatic silence than challenge an easily irritated authority figure. On the 3rd, the Full Moon will bring an end to a troubled group affiliation; you`ll feel much happier after breaking away from this particular gaggle of gossips. Asserting yourself on the 4th could quickly backfire on the 4th so you would be wise to wait until later in the month to put forward any far-reaching plans or ideas. Your relationship with people in power continues to be tense during the middle of the month when your action-oriented style clashes with their more cautious approach. Expressing your creative side attracts attention and praise on the 16th. Your chances of winning a type of competition are extremely high on the 19th, thanks to a supportive New Moon. Don`t speak out of turn at an important professional or official gathering on the 24th or you will regret it. A job interview will go extremely well as August makes way for September.
2020 has already been described as the `Year of the Great Financial Reset`. Whilst this affects all signs` it affects different areas dependent on the actual sign involved. Though property matters have no doubt been important up until now, as of August 8 through to early next month, it appears these will require even greater attention. By August 20th it would be understandable if you were pouring over facts and figures and working out yet more ways to trim costs. It`s probable that if you listen to your inner voice around Monday 17th, you`d agree that it may be better to take a new page and start afresh. Needs have no doubt altered substantially. Though you could meet considerable resistance after the Sun moves into Virgo on Sunday 23rd, provided you`ve done your homework and can show you`ve attended to detail, you could soon address many of the challenges that have dogged you in recent months and make preparations for the new business cycle that begins in December.
Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20
Your horoscope for this month:
The past several months have brought shakeups in many areas of your life, most unexpected, some unsettling, at least initially, while others were thrilling. Looking back, you`re recognising each as a breakthrough. Remember this now, when yet more seemingly unwelcome events disrupt existing arrangements or future plans. The trick? It`s to recognise that, despite the resulting disarray, something better is on its way. Similarly, be ready to exchange increasingly burdensome arrangements for the new and unexpected. The more you explore, the richer your choices.
Beware of venting your anger on an innocent bystander as July makes way for August; practising a little compassion and understanding will make a difficult situation much more tolerable. The Full Moon on the 3rd brings a tense career matter to a head; you may decide to sever links and become a free agent. Connexions are the key to your professional success on the 7th; don`t hesitate to ask a friend to spread the word about your expertise and experience. After an exciting rollercoaster ride, your personal life will settle down starting on the 15th. Having friends in high places pays off handsomely on the 18th, when a personal connexion brings some exciting news. On the 19th, the New Moon brings an unexpected opportunity to buy or sell some property. This deal will put you in a much stronger financial position. Resist the temptation to post a nasty review of a local business on social media at the end of the month or your sarcasm could come back to haunt you.
As of the Full Moon on August 3rd you may be ready to draw a financial line in the sand. It should then be apparent where and how you need to invest. Making good use of promising aspects between 5th and 19th and flexing your financial muscle in ways you perhaps haven`t done before, could yield real reward by the time Uranus stations in your sign on Saturday 15th. You won`t be the only sign thinking about how best to work and earn from home; and yes, this likely requires reorganisation of space which might in itself be expensive. Yet after the Sun moves into Virgo on Sunday 23rd, ideas as to how best to maximise resources should come thick and fast. Indeed, what`s incubated between 27th and 29th could yet mark the start of a second revenue stream that takes off before year end.
Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20
Your horoscope for this month:
Because you`re expert at making life interesting, for yourself and, equally for everybody from family and friends to colleagues, you deftly ride out the unexpected dramas that so worry others. Yet now the obstacles you`re facing demand the variety of detailed, practical focus you dislike, so often ignore. Instead, make a point of exploring these. What you learn will be helpful now but also revolutionise your attitude towards similar matters in the future. In fact, you`ll soon discover you actually enjoy dealing with them.
The opening days of August are not a good time to negotiate a financial deal; wait until you are less emotional to discuss money. On the 3rd, the Full Moon will bring an unpleasant official issue to your attention. In future, you will have to adopt a more straightforward way of conducting business. An entertaining article, novel or screenplay will get lots of positive publicity on the 5th. This is a good time to send you own submissions to agents and editors. Collaborating on a creative project will be rewarding on the 17th, when you`ll work with some stimulating and exciting people. The New Moon on the 19th is perfect for planning to do something exciting and unusual. Dealing with family matters will be much easier on the 20th, when people are willing to listen to each other`s point of view. A better paid job that allows you to use your skills and talents will be offered to at the end of the month but it may be some time before you can make the most of this offer.
This month can be divided into six unequal financial parts. Until the 5th and over the Full Moon on 3rd, the endless question of whether you are spending or investing will likely result in you determining that a different strategy is required but which could be adopted between 5th and 8th. Between 8th and 16th the accent is on securing assets, obtaining valuations where necessary plus learning more about how new systems work. This will likely include learning something about crypto currencies between 20th and 21st. You might also cautiously exploring new areas for investment (including waste management?). It may be necessary though by 24th to agree new budget arrangements. Having negotiated potentially traumatic financial rocks, from then until the end of the month whilst focus is again on plugging leaks and securing assets, there is also the high probability of determining how best to invest in good data sources – that covers everything from news supplies to companies protecting information.
Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22
Your horoscope for this month:
The events of the past few months have been as unsettling as they were exciting, which means you`re in the process of reorganising elements of your life and rethinking your priorities. Tempting as it is to rush this process, mostly because of pressure to from others, your instincts say that other options are about to appear. Not only is this correct, what you learn in the process of exploration could lead to rethinking everything. For now, focus on exploration. Long term decisions can wait.
Don`t let your best friend or romantic partner influence an important decision about your personal life at the start of August; it`s important to follow your instincts at this critical time. The Full Moon on the 3rd creates tension with a romantic partner; your amour doesn`t approve of some of your friends. You will have to decide who is more important to you. A pushy employer gets on your nerves on the 4th; you`re tired of being asked to compromise your personal life, maybe even your well-being for the sake of their profits and productivity. By the 13th, you might decide to leave a job that is putting too many demands on you. A much better work opportunity will arrive shortly after, allowing you to make more money while devoting more time to your favourite hobbies and pastimes. The New Moon on the 19th is ideal for marketing an entertaining app, service or product. This innovation will significantly boost your income. Don`t seek anyone`s approval on the 30th; do your own thing.
At the Full Moon on August 3rd, Mercury in your sign opposes Saturn. This for you could be the proverbial line in the sand. It may be necessary to make clear that a new budget has to be put in place. This could be done satisfactorily over the weekend of 8th/9th. With Venus then moving through your sign, you might even enjoy applying financial brakes but also – between 13th and 15th – making major investment. This is likely done in partnership with an Aries, Libra or Capricorn. It`s midmonth too when you might take a greater interest in precious metals and jewels and perhaps by 21st make an investment in this area. No doubt as soon as that`s done, you`ll worry as to whether or not you have done right thing. It seems though, that likely in partnership this time with someone born under Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn, that in the last days of August you`ll make commitment to a schedule or budget that effectively steadies your financial boat.
Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22
Your horoscope for this month:
Usually, planning ahead is a virtue. But during most of July and the first half of August, you`ll be both short of vital facts and lacking the clarity necessary to make certain pivotal decisions. Once you`ve acknowledged that, you can kick back, relax and enjoy life, including who and what you love, in a way you rarely have time for. Better yet, when you`re facing the pivotal situations triggered by the Leo New Moon, on 19 August, you`ll be ready to make wise decisions.
An unpredictable personality wreaks havoc on your personal life on the 1st. You might be expected to cancel plans to cater to your employer`s whims. Be ready to set some healthy boundaries and make them clear to all concerned. On the 3rd, the Full Moon prompts you to make a final decision about a relationship. Whether you make up or break up, life will be much different after making this choice. People will be more receptive to your ideas starting on the 5th; seize this opportunity to make a sales pitch or professional presentation. Excitement will die down on the career front starting on the 15th, when your employer takes an extended break. The 16th is perfect for scheduling an adventurous trip; head for an unconventional vacation destination. The New Moon on the 19th is ideal for getting a DIY top-to-toe makeover; enjoy some online retail therapy and splash out on fashionable clothes, and an updated image. Your moneymaking ability will begin to improve as August makes room for September.
The Full Moon on Monday 3rd will likely find financial matters dominating news stories. This may well involve crypto currencies. It would be unsurprising if you were attracted to learning more about these. Between 5th and 20th, Mercury moves through your sign. This is an annual transit and usually coincides with a thirst for new information sources. You may be almost greedy for business information between 10th and 15th. It`s on 16th though, and as Uranus stations at the apex of your solar chart, that once again property and asset management will likely require specific focus.. You won`t be the only sign determined to protect interests but could perhaps be one of the few openly discussing both difficulties and belt tightening measures. With the Sun`s move into neighbouring Virgo on 20th, you could feel financially disheartened. View this as temporary. True, you may feel that you`re robbing Peter to pay Paul through to the end of the month. Yet it may be that in the process you learn much about how to take advantage of special offers.
Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22
Your horoscope for this month:
Few things annoy you more than being forced to make commitments or future plans while short of facts. It may be out of character; but regard whatever you organise as a trial run, something to be learnt from and, equally, ensure arrangements are flexible. That way, you`ll be ready to take advantage of the insights triggered by the powerful ideas and offers promised by links between your ruler Mercury and both inventive Uranus and fortunate Jupiter, during the final week of August.
Don`t let a romantic partner put you down or pour scorn on your interests at the start of the month; you are quite right to be proud of your hobbies and intellectual pursuits. The Full Moon on the 3rd brings an end to a set of unpleasant circumstances, allowing you to pursue your solo goals away from the input or interference of others. Keep plans to yourself starting on the 5th; there`s no reason to give rivals a peek at a creative strategy. An official issue could go against you on the 10th; this news will come as a shock but you are resilient enough to bounce back. Let a loving partner guide and advise you on the 17th; you`ll welcome the chance to approach life from a different direction. On the 19th, the New Moon inspires you to take a relaxing break, kick back, put your feet up and pass some time in your favourite armchair or garden. Your bright ideas will get an enthusiastic reception on the 20th; take this opportunity to make a sales pitch. A flirtatious conversation on the 29th will put a twinkle in your eye.
By month-end both the Sun and Mercury will be in your sign as two major planet cycles come to their opposition. This could find you in something of a panic. To avoid that condition it is arguably imperative that you stay as grounded as possible. Certain dates lend themselves to sound financial planning. These include 1st, 4th, 13th, 16th and 24th. On each of these dates applying financial brakes or making considered investment could work well. Around 17th you may be in the mood to consider long-term savings arrangements. Indeed, it is these that may be the source of the fretfulness at the end of the month. It would be understandable if you were alarmed by market volatility. As we now recognise, 2020 is indeed proving to be the year of `The Great Financial Reset`. In such turbulent times focusing on companies providing goods and essential services may be wise.
Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22
Your horoscope for this month:
As an air sign, you`re inquisitive, eager to learn about others` activities. But, often, the resulting insights enable you to refine existing plans and fuels ideas for the future. True, the shakeups in the lives of those closest, personally or out in the world, are unsettling if not a source of concern. Listen when they discuss these matters and be supportive but no more. Tempting as it is giving advice, during this period, and in these situations, your roles to listen, nothing more.
A manipulative relative will try to undermine your confidence at the start of August; turn a deaf ear to their backhanded compliments and don`t let them get to you. On the 3rd, the Full Moon will prompt you to break away from an activity that is no longer fun for you. It`s no good flogging this particular dead horse and it certainly won`t bring you any satisfaction. Your best friend or romantic partner may tease you about your family ties on the 4th; don`t let them make you ashamed of heart-warming traditions. You`ll make a wonderful impression on everyone you talk with starting on the 7th. Seize this opportunity to attend online job interviews, auditions and dates. Signing a contract will work to your advantage on the 17th; you`ll enjoy collaborating with an innovative, inventive individual. The New Moon on the 19th is perfect for joining a team, organisation or club. You`ll make some great friends from this association. Don`t let your employer flatter you into accepting more work responsibilities on the 25th.
Of all signs of the Zodiac, yours is the one most focused on balance in every possible respect. Yet it`s also true that there are occasions when you tip the balance – possibly because you`ve just wanted to see if you can create it again. You will then need to take special care this month that you don`t go overboard with spending either at the Full Moon on 3rd or between 14th and 16th to avoid even more serious belt tightening from 20th. It`s useful to recall that as the Sun moves through Virgo every year, your nerves can fray – especially where long-term investments and pension arrangements are concerned. There may be little you can do about this other than to preserve your sanity by knowing that you`ve kept as much as possible in good repair. That`s not to say that you can`t realise a new revenue stream in August. It might though be necessary to learn more about tech companies and investments or, at the very simple level, how you can make better use of existing telecoms and even trim costs.
Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21
Your horoscope for this month:
The events triggered by eclipses in June and July were unsettling; but looking back, it`s clear what seemed most disruptive were breakthroughs, often as exciting as they were unexpected. It`s the same now, except you`ve no choice but to go along with the decisions of others. You question many of these because of worrying past experiences. Despite that, listen to their suggestions. While challenging at the time, you`ll soon realise this is opening up a new world of enriching encounters and activities.
Avoid heaping criticism on someone at work or in your social circle at the start of August and if you`re thinking of challenging an expert`s theories you should think again. Work demands will interfere with your personal life on the 2nd; it may be necessary to cancel a romantic outing for the sake of your job. The Full Moon on the 3rd brings an end to a stressful family situation; you may suddenly decide to move in with your best friend or romantic partner. Don`t get drawn into an argument with a colleague on the 13th; professional plotting and in-fighting will make it impossible to work effectively together. A business or romantic partner from the past will contact you unexpectedly on the 15th; it`s probably best to keep your distance. A new opportunity could come your way on the 17th, which will make work seem more like play. The New Moon on the 19th is ideal for embarking on a fresh career path or applying for and accepting another job.
If history repeats, then the August Full Moon (3rd) could find alarm bells ringing in the financial sectors. Just how loudly these are heard will, of course, depend on your interest. Yet Scorpios have a reputation for financial acumen. Even if not playing the market, you could be affected by the impact news has on others. This though may be you moment for learning more about areas which appear slightly `cloak and dagger`. High priority could be crypto currencies and block chain generally. Mid-month Uranus stations in your opposite sign which might well coincide with altered behaviour in those closest to you. This too could be unsettling. By the time the Sun changes signs on 20th, both reviewing your position and assessing new opportunities will likely have your rapt attention. Amongst these, determining products and services that both improve productivity and communications appear deserving of your investment. Of course, as always, it is essential to do research. This month though you may have a mind to do precisely that.
Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21
Your horoscope for this month:
As a fire sign, you`re both enthusiastic and interested in others, so are good company. Yet you have a stubborn side, and will battle changes in existing arrangements or plans of importance to you. Recently, however, you`ve been forced to make changes, and while you fought them at the time, you`ve since learnt how wise they were. It`s the same now. This time, the sooner you explore changes, the better. Each day brings insights, and by August`s close, you`re relieved you went with the flow.
Trying to control people with money at the start of August will only lead to resentment and disappointment; show respect for people, value them and they will return the compliment. On the 3rd, the Full Moon prompts you to repair faulty machinery; it will cost more than expected to fix a car, computer or a domestic appliance so you may need to cut back on extravagant purchases on the 4th; it`s important to conserve your resources. A stress-related health issue could come back to plague you during the middle of the month.. Practicing relaxation techniques can ease headaches, back pain and stomach upsets. An impromptu trip for pleasure on the 16th brings out the best in you. If you`re single, you will meet someone exciting on this vacation. The New Moon on the 19th is perfect for any ventures connected with the media or communications in general; put your ideas before the public and you will be pleased with the results. Love and money should be kept strictly separate on the 25th; don`t lend cash to a boy or girlfriend. A public presentation will go extremely well on the 29th and will lead to an upswing in your career prospects.
It`s normal for Sagittarius to find August a challenging month. That`s perhaps partly due to this normally being a holiday time but also a period of the year when review of investment in your career seems appropriate. This could be particularly true around the Full Moon on Monday 3rd. That though could coincide with the desire to put your affairs in order. Knowing where you stand will likely be super important this year. It may be that there are now routine and even health considerations that require extra funding. Reviewing your budget will no doubt be necessary. True, many signs could be thinking similarly. What`s different in your case is acceptance that 2020 really is the year of the `Great Financial Reset` and that before the new business cycle begins on December 20 that there will have to be acceptance of new rules and regulations at both the personal and societal levels. Knowing where you stand before making several key decisions between 24th and 31st would be wise. These key decisions will likely require review of long-term investments and an altered approach to these.
Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19
Your horoscope for this month:
Between the recent eclipses and the brief visit by your ruling planet, cautious Saturn, to Aquarius, the sign of breakthroughs, you`ve lots of questions but not many answers. Tempting as it is to gather facts swiftly, instead regard this as a period of exploration, both of possibilities in the world around you but, as much, of new ways of living, working and even of new joys. That may seem extreme until you find yourself feeling so restless you realise changes aren`t just of interest, they`re necessary.
Don`t try to impose your views and values on a friend, relative or loved one as July makes way for August. The Full Moon on the 3rd causes you to reassess your financial situation and create a tighter, more efficient budget.. You will decide to cut down on impulse purchases after reviewing your spending habits. Don`t put your faith in an unreliable relative on the 4th; it`s better to do an important job yourself than wait for them to keep a promise. You`ll have to override one of the family`s decisions on the 13th for the sake of the clan as a whole. Choosing stability over excitement is the safest way forward for the time being. On the 19th, the New Moon will bring a financial windfall, allowing you to take an expensive course that has caught your eye. This will be lots of fun. Resist the temptation to pull a troublemaker`s fat out of the fire on the 24th; it`s time to they accepted the consequences of their actions. Be kind, compassionate and gentle toward a good friend or romantic partner on the 30th, even if they do push your buttons from time to time.
August could be divided into six unequal financial parts with focus moving rapidly. It all starts around the Full Moon (3rd) when there could be general hiatus in the markets attracting your attention. By Wednesday 5th it may be necessary to adopt fresh strategy. Between 8th and 16th the needs of a business partner require particular care. Their concern -especially around 13th -on how best to make investment could be both bewildering and exciting. Uranus then arrives at its retrograde station and review, especially over 17th, could actually charge you with the desire to make significant improvement and yes, to discuss your financial position with experts. It may be necessary by 24th to make clear boundaries. Perhaps you could think about putting penalty clauses in place if budgets are not adhered to. Day-to-day management, though complicated between 25th and end of the month, could find you feeling as though you`re in the process of regaining control and assured that in as far as safety nets are possible, that these are in place.
Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18
Your horoscope for this month:
It would be easy to mistake the twists and turns in existing plans and sudden changes, in the attitude of others and your own mood, as an indication something has gone wrong. What`s more, while the Aquarius Full Moon on 3 August heightens your emotions, it`s about breakthroughs, for you and others. Initially, abandoning longstanding plans, often suddenly, may worry you. However, others` lives and, in fact, your world isn`t just changing, it`s about breakthroughs. For now, focus on exploration. Decisions can wait.
Domestic upheavals could take a toll on a close relationship at the start of August; sit down with a relative or romantic partner and find an easier and more productive way to organise your household. Remember, you`re on the same team. On the 3rd, the Full Moon will sorely tempt you to abandon a family matter for the sake of independence; resist this impulse and fulfill your promises. It will be easier to collaborate with friends and colleagues starting on the 5th, when you`ll be willing to find a consensus that will please all concerned. Be willing to compromise for the sake of someone important on the 10th. Your home life will become more peaceful and less challenging around the 15th, much to the relief of everyone involved. A romantic encounter on the 16th will erase all doubts about a relationship while an engagement or marriage could be announced on the 19th, when the New Moon renews your belief in the power of love.
This month`s Full Moon is in your sign. That in itself is not unusual. The fact that this coincides with the opposition of Mercury and Saturn is. This could represent a full stop moment. At the very least it may be necessary to review your financial position. You likely won`t be alone in this as global markets could experience marked turbulence. Note that the new business cycle begins on December 20 – and in your sign. Preparing for the opportunities that this presents starts now. You may find that as Uranus arrives its station on 16th, that you consider once again the valuation of an item. Property of all kinds likely requires recalibration. By the time the Sun moves into Virgo on 20th, discussing legacies and long-term financial plans – both with those working in that industry and with close family members takes on new momentum. Whilst nothing may be decided for a short time yet, the important thing may be to put in place safety nets so that where possible, losses are averted.
Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20
Your horoscope for this month:
No sign has a better understanding that while you can plan some arrangements, others defy even the simplest efforts to organise them. The problem? Certain individuals who want lasting plans in situations where that simply isn`t possible. Instead of arguing, handover the responsibility to them. They`ll soon experience those challenges and will return, humbled. Take this forceful stance wherever you encounter similar difficulties. Initially, it may be challenging. Still, by early September`s powerful Pisces Full Moon, you`ll have control in several once-troublesome relationships.
The Full Moon on the 3rd will bring some unpleasant secrets to light; you`ll look at a relative or neighbour in an entirely different light. Putting too much emphasis on material matters could alienate friends on the 4th; look beyond wealth when assessing people`s views and virtues. If you`re looking for work, launch an extensive job search starting on the 5th; you`ll get several interesting responses. You`ll attract admirers on the 7th like a flower draws bees. Within reason and considering the well-being of yourself and others this will be a great time to get out and about and socialise. A moneymaking opportunity is worth checking out on the 16th, even if the competition is stiff. A dream job could be offered to you on the 19th, courtesy of an enriching New Moon. Listen to a romantic or business partner`s advice on the 22nd; their insights have lots of merit. Resist the temptation to steer a friendship into romantic waters on the 25th; it`s best to keep this relationship platonic.
Long before the Sun moves into your opposite sign on 22nd, others will surely advise that it`s time to review your financial affairs. You could be aware around the Full Moon on 3rd, that all is not as it should be. By 5th, financial dramas may no longer be below the surface: very much obvious and requiring attention. 2020 is indeed proving to be the `Year of the Great Financial Reset`. Obviously, there is much beyond your control. That said, you could pay closer attention to detail and certainly not assume that all be will be well without attention. As Uranus arrives at its station on 16th, you could take time out to assess precisely where you stand and what strategies have effectively blown holes in your safety net. Repairing these could be done by 22nd. Then, in the last nine days of the month and with assistance (most likely from a Virgo or someone whose husbandry is with without question excellent), you could do much to stabilise ending August feeling as though you`ve navigated the more obvious rocks.
