Llewellyn’s Spell a Day
Pu’er to the Rescue
Spell Date: Monday, January 14, 2019

It seems that there is always a screen, television, or hologram drawing our attention, leaving our vision more exhausted that we might realize. When your eyes have simply decoded too much light and information, try this soothing tea for ocular health and healing.

Fill two paper tea bags, one for each eye, with the following measure in each bag:

* 1 teaspoon Pu’er aged Chinese black tea, freshly crushed
* 1/4 teaspoon eyebright leaves and flowers
* 1 teaspoon dehydrated cucumber flakes
* 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, freshly crushed
* 1 teaspoon quinoa seeds, freshly crushed
* 1/4 teaspoon ginseng extract

In two separate cups, steep for five minutes. Let the bags cool on a plate. When warm to the touch, place them over your closed eyes. Lie back and relax, sipping this potent antioxidant brew. It will invigorate blood flow and improve your vision while it reduces the signs of fine lines and wrinkles.

Cool Down Spell
Spell Date: Tuesday, January 15, 2019

This is a ritual bath for when you are plagued by anger or negativity.

Go outside and make a snowball with your hands. As you pack the snow together in the shape of a ball, charge it with the ability to vanquish or banish energy. See it pulsing with pure white cleansing light, and feel its cold clarity in your hands.

Immediately, go draw yourself a warm bath. Get in the bath, hold the snowball over you, and say:

“Pure white light, pure white snow,
Extinguish this anger, make it go!”

Drop the snowball into the water. (A jar of rain can be substituted for a snowball.) As it melts and cools the water around your body, feel it also cooling the coals of your ire. See it transform your aura from angry dark red to calm blue.

Triple Circle Money Spell
Spell Date: Wednesday, January 16, 2019

For this spell you will need the following materials:

* A pen and paper
* Patchouli oil
* A green candle and holder
* Several coins
* Chamomile flowers
* Sea salt

Ground and center. On the paper, draw a symbol for money, such as a dollar sign, and the specific amount you are looking for. With the oil, anoint the four corners of the paper, along with the center. Place the paper on the center of your altar. Oil the candle, put it in the holder, and place it on the center of the paper. Surround it with a circle made from the coins, then encircle all of that with the chamomile flowers. Encircle this all with salt.

Light the candle, saying:

“Flame of candle, sign of money,
Herb of riches, salt of earth,
By these signs, these coins, I conjure.
In triple circle fortune shines.”

Let the candle burn down safely, then burn the paper. Take a bath with the salt and chamomile. Spend the coins. The money will come.

Ditch Witching
Spell Date: Thursday, January 17, 2019

Today is Ditch New Year’s Resolutions Day. Maybe you’re succeeding with all yours, in which case, keep up the good work. But most of us have at least one resolution that isn’t working out. Those become a burden and a nagging source of guilt. So today is the day to assess your progress and decide which resolutions to ditch. You can always try again another time.

For this spell, you need a small piece of scrap paper and a pencil. It’s a great idea to pick up a piece of paper litter to write on, like a newspaper. Write down your resolution(s) to ditch. Concentrate on the weight, and then shrug it off. This is no longer a current goal; you can spend your energy on something else now.

Take the paper to a ditch and throw it in. Bury it if you wish. Walk away without looking back.

Lose Weight Spell
Spell Date: Friday, January 18, 2019

If all the food you ate over the holidays has caught up with you and has settled on your hips or stomach, this spell may help your diet plan. First, pick a sensible diet plan to help you lose the extra weight. Now you may begin the spell.

You’ll need a sheet of plain white paper, a marker, and a pair of scissors. Using the marker, draw an image of how you think you look now. Cut out the image. Place it where you’ll see it every day. When you lose some weight, take the scissors and trim a little off the image, and say:

“Layer by layer, off the weight will peel.
Soon, a new me shall be revealed.”

Repeat this every time you lose more weight. Throw away the scraps you cut off immediately. Just keep focusing on your image getting smaller until you reach your goal.

Darkness Divination
Spell Date: Saturday, January 19, 2019

The dark, cold nights of winter can seem long and tiresome, but don’t forget that the quiet, slower pace of this season can be useful, too. It is a good time to look inward, to go deeper. In short, it is a great time for divination.

Take advantage of the quiet and you might hear the answers to questions you didn’t even know you were asking. If you are comfortable with tarot cards or rune stones, you can use those. Otherwise, you can light a black or white candle and gaze into a dark-colored bowl filled with water. Ask: What do I need to know? Then say this spell and pull a few cards or stones or look into the water to see if an image appears:

“Darkness, darkness, of the night,
Show some answers to my sight.”

Blessing for a Book of Shadows
Spell Date: Sunday, January 20, 2019

Use this spell to bless and protect your Book of Shadows, keeping it a safe and secure place to record your thoughts, secrets, spells, and recipes. These books often take the form of personal journals for some people, and they deserve to be well cared for. It doesn’t matter if your “book” is a journal, a binder, or even a digital file.

Place the book (in whatever form it takes) on your altar with a candle on each side. Be careful not to singe the edges or melt it. Visualize your book as a sacred repository for all your magic. Chant:

“All my thoughts and all my spells,
bless them and protect them well.
Cover to cover and page to page,
preserve these words for any age.”

Heartwings Love Notes 663 Getting a Good Start on the New Year

Heartwings says, “Sometimes you have to take a step back in order to go forward.”

The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah begins with a thorough cleansing and refurbishing of the entire home, most especially the kitchen. This is a symbolic way of wiping the slate clean for new beginnings. I find myself doing this now, almost automatically. Being thorough, however does take time. Though I have accomplished some of my cleaning up, I have yet to do my refrigerator. I have every intention of tackling this task soon, though I haven’t found the time yet.

As far as I know I have kept up with my leftovers and there is nothing lurking in the refrigerator’s back for me to dispose of. My refrigerator does not hold as much as I wish it did. When I go shopping I usually have to reshuffle what is on the shelves in order to fit in new items and keeps things current. This is particularly true of my freezer which needs to hold things like shrimp on sale as well as an assortment of the good frozen organic vegetables we like so much.

I went over my desk, organized it and threw out the various lists, notes and other accumulated paper that were not current. I also threw away a bunch of pens that no longer wrote and stowed away the ones that did. In addition I purged my wallet of coupons that were not valid because they were past the expiry date. We still have some Christmas gifts that we have not yet managed to connect with their recipients; however I am confident that this will happen in good time. There are still drawers to tidy, and my filing cabinet to go through.

I can think of more and more if I try. There are writing projects on my computer I haven’t looked at in some time. I could discard them or continue to consider them. There are old poems I could look at and decide whether to keep, revise or eliminate. Yet where do I stop? I might go on cleaning and clearing until summer if I kept at it. At some point I must decide what is enough and what will be too much. Soon I need to stop and decide it’s time to move forward.

May you find good ways to get going on eliminating the old and get going on the new.

Blessings and Best regards, Tasha Halpert

Crystals and the Full Blood Moon

Occurring on the Full Moon, around 12:12 a.m. EST on January 21st.
This “triple threat” will be a metaphysical feast to behold. The first part of this is the supermoon. A Supermoon is defined as a new or full moon which occurs when the moon is at or near (within 90%) of its closest approach to Earth.
The second aspect of this is the “blood moon”. A blood moon is a full moon which appears coppery red during a total lunar eclipse. That is because the dispersed light from the Earth’s sunrises and sunsets fall on the face of the moon at mid-eclipse. Therefore, the term “blood moon” can be applied to most total lunar eclipses. Because the moon rises lower in the sky at this time of year, the atmosphere between us and the moon makes it look reddish. This is also the month of the Wolf Moon. In ancient lore, a “bloody wolf moon” takes a bite out of life, so to speak. It is the opportunity to make “long-term and lasting goals when you set your intentions on what you really want.
The third aspect of this is the total lunar eclipse of a supermoon. A total lunar eclipse occurs when the sun, the Earth and the moon reach perfect alignment, causing Earth’s shadow to hide the moon from view. A lunar eclipse is always on a full moon and represents an ending or culmination points. They bring up memories, reoccurring dreams, and powerful emotions. A lunar eclipse of the moon can help us to anticipate major changes that are forthcoming in our own lives. it is a moment when the effects of the full moon are very much amplified, while the South Node of the moon is getting enlightened by the Sun, and the North Node, brings forth our deepest aspirations and intuitions toward our spiritual meaning in this life.
Change is inevitable.
Our lives are made up of the building blocks of change.
This can be traumatic or it can be less so. The single most important point you can make about change is that in most cases it’s not what faces you that’s the problem, it’s how you react to it.
How you react is determined by how you perceive a particular change. The Chinese word for crisis is “weiji”. Two characters that separately mean danger and opportunity. Every problem we encounter in life can be viewed that way. It is a chance to show that we can handle it. Changing the way, you think, can change a life of stress and discomfort to a life of challenge and excitement.
Change shows itself in many forms. The move to a different career, by choice or not, the loss of a loved one, the loss of a relationship, the move to a new home or simply the change in the weather and how we feel.
Here are some ways to embrace change:
1. Often, in any situation, we must take the quiet time to be with ourselves to observe this change. How is it going to affect me? Better yet, how am I going to let it affect me? What am I going to do to get through this? Allow the answers to come to you in your quiet time.
2. Take everything one day at a time. Sometimes situations can become overwhelming when looking at the big picture. Again, take your quiet time to observe the moment. Allow yourself to take all the time, take the space that you need to grasp the change.
3. Breath. Deep breathing allows us to open our chest and expand. It clears our minds and bodies of toxins and should be used as a tool for change. Allow the breath to cleanse you and make room for change. Make room for something different.
4. Support. We are always put at ease when we have support behind us. In these vulnerable moments, we can find strength in others. If you have a good friend, a family member, a loved one or a community group that you can turn to, do so. Be sure that this support comes from a positive, unbiased source. Otherwise, it can be more damaging than good. Rest assured, there have been others who have gone through what you are experiencing right now. See if you can take away with you some of their positive pearls of wisdom.
5. Love Yourself. You are the true source to your own happiness. You have to live within yourself. You have to be at peace within yourself. Only you can do that. Only you can make that happen. We each have our own way of being with ourselves, but there is only one way to be at ease with your soul. That is to love yourself, always.
6. Our belief system is one of the major factors that can get us through situations or can cause our life to crumble around us! I do believe that there is a lot of innate goodness and balancing our minds do subconsciously to get us through hard times. The other portion of this is how we “program” ourselves to deal with any given situation.
7. Let go of ego. Embracing peace of mind, optimism, the ability to forgive, and a sense of humor are all good ways to allow the ego to step aside and make room for some humble pie.
8. Allow Emotional Release. Identifying, expressing, experiencing, and accepting all of our feelings is your doorway to accepting all change in your life.
9. Be Flexible. You have a rigid, mindset about work, relationships, kids or lifestyle. Learn a lesson from the willow tree and its ability to bend in the great wind. Whereas, when we are rigid like the old oak tree, we can easily break apart under the stress of change. Learn to relax and follow the path unfolding before you.
10. There is no security in something that is irrelevant or no longer has meaning. When we let go of the familiar, we have the power to embrace the new. Embrace it!
Crystals Associated with the Full Blood Moon

Dragon’s Blood Jasper: AKA Dragon Stone is a magical stone designed by nature and capturing a rich “dragon green” matrix (epidote) that is dotted with deep red drops of “dragon’s blood” (really, red piedmontite). This is the stone of for perception and personal power. Energetically, this crystal is helpful for enhancing our vital Qi or life force energy.
Dragon’s Blood Calcite: This dark, rich, blood-colored stone is found in Mexico’s “calcite strip” and varies from the rusty mahogany of dried blood to the fiery glow of burning embers. This stone is an instigator of energy and motivation. It is used on the Root Chakra and can be placed at the front door for protection or carried with you for motivation! This fierce stone actually helps overcome fear and forces action from you. Aligned with the ability to bring about change, whether you want it or not!
Sedona Vortex Stone: famous for its energy centers or vortex, Sedona has become a magnet for those seeking powerful enlightenment and a spiritual presence. These amazing stones pulse with energy! My stones have been gathered at the Cathedral Rock Vortex. This vortex, also lovingly referred to as “mama rock”, has a compassionate, nurturing, feminine energy that engulfs you when you work with these stones. This amazing red stone has a warm and grounding energy to it. It connects to our Root Chakra, brings about sensations of fire, desire, awakening, and power.
Red Obsidian: AKA Blood, Strawberry or Lava obsidian is a rare stone that is a luscious red with the fire of the volcano still in its appearance! Iron minerals give this stone its rich, red color. It is used to stimulate the Root Chakra and therefore, our physical energy and validates our self-worth. Grounds us and allows us to stand up to fear and face anxiety. This red obsidian allows for our dominate qualities to awake as it balances our male and female energies.
Bloodstone: Called the “Stone of Babylon” during ancient times, by the time of Christ, it was aptly named, the “martyr stone” due to the legend of this stone being at the foot of the cross and stained by the drops of blood from Jesus. Metaphysically, bloodstone is used to either promote a calm, tranquil atmosphere that is grounding or revitalize insufficient energy. A great stone for mental exhaustion. This stone represents both courage and strength and is used for achieving these attributes. It is associated with honesty and integrity and is useful in removing obstacles in life. A classic stone for wealth, it attracts abundance and good luck. Bloodstone brings love into any situation and helps ground the negative energies surrounding that issue.

Full Moon Letting Go and Manifestation
Article by Jan Taylor

With a full moon, we very often write what it is we want to let go of. However, after reading reports of this full moon during mercury retrograde, I feel it is a special moon. Yes, a moon for letting go, but also a time of being able to manifest whatever it is your heart desires. The energy over the last few days has been really intense and left a lot of people feeling out of sorts, drained of energy, picking up viruses and bugs etc. However, that period is coming to an end and, by letting go of anything that does not serve you, it will bring in new powerful energy for whatever you desire so you need to make sure that you are clear on what you would like to manifest the most.

What you need to do is take a large piece of paper, A4 size would be good but it doesn’t matter.

Fold the piece of paper in half and write down ONE thing you really need to get rid of.
On the left hand side

Dear Universe
I am so happy and grateful now that I am letting go of all my money worries, all my fears and anxieties to do with money, all the debt that is weighing down heavy on my shoulders, all the feelings of lack I always have with money, all the feelings of money burning a hole in my pocket, all the feelings of just scraping by, all the feelings of struggling with money and never having enough in the bank and never have any savings.

Really pour out all the feelings you have about money (or whatever it is you want to let go of).
Then add

“Thank you for taking away anything that does not serve me with regards to money and is stopping my flow.
I am releasing all of this with grace and ease and a big weight is lifting off my shoulders!
All for my highest good.
And so it is!!
Thank you, Thank you , Thank you”
Full Moon and Stars

On the right hand side

Write how you want your money situation to be as though you have it already:

Full moon intention
I am so happy and grateful now that I have an abundance of money. I have more than enough money. Money flows to me easily and frequently. I always have more than enough money in my bank account and I am able to treat myself and my family whenever I wish as well as give money to my favourite charity. I love money and money loves me, it flows to me in an abundant and steady flow. It is so good to get the old weight off my shoulders and so it is!! Thank you angels for the abundance of money in my life.

and so it is!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Carefully tear or cut the paper in half and burn the left hand side on the full moon. You can burn it anytime in the next 24 hours as the moon energy is becoming intense already. Fold up the right hand side and put it somewhere prominent, under your pillow or on your mantelpiece or in your Reiki box then ask that the energy be sent to all of your full moon intentions for as long as is needed to manifest them.

It doesn’t have to be money, I have just given that as an example. It can be anything you wish to let go of. Just concentrate on one major thing that you feel is holding you back. Write down what you want to let go of on the left hand side. Be as negative as you like here, really pour out your feelings, then on the right hand side be really positive as though you have it already and what you would like to manifest. It doesn’t even matter if they don’t match. If you let go of something that is not serving you, it will free up the flow of creation for manifestation of all the good things you wish to have in your life now.

Lots of Love, Blessing and Abundance
Jan Taylor

Healing Remedies with Sea Salt

Salt is one of the easiest most effective remedies on the planet! Sea salt, a salt obtained by evaporating seawater, is used in cooking and cosmetics. Its mineral content gives it a different taste from table salt, which is usually sodium chloride refined from mined rock salt (halite), or refined from sea salt. Table salt may contain anti- caking agents and additives such as the dietary supplement iodides. Areas that produce specialized sea salt include the Cayman Islands, France, Ireland, Sicily and Apulia in Italy, and Maine and Cape Cod in the United States.

Salt is essential for life and you cannot live without it. There are enormous differences between the standard, refined table and cooking salt and healthy natural salt. The differences can have a major impact on your health.

Halite crystal (sodium chloride) occurs in seawater, along with other salts of sodium, calcium, magnesium, and other light metals. When seawater evaporates in a closed lagoon, halite and other minerals precipitate out and sink to the bottom as crystals. In this way, great beds of rock salt have been formed. Pure halite is colorless, though it is often colored by impurities. It is soft and breaks (cleaves) into cubes. Halite crystallizes in the isometric (also called cubic) crystal system and when it forms crystals, it generally forms cubes. Its most noticeable and important physical feature is that halite is readily soluble in water. This allows halite to be useful in such varied applications as cooking, food preservation, and chemical production.

Salt can be mined from rock salt either by traditional mining practices using heavy equipment underground, or by pumping hot water in pipes into the salt deposit, where the hot water dissolves the halite. The resulting salt water is then pumped to surface and evaporated to yield salt. This is called “solution mining”. In some modern dry salt lakes, a crust of halite can be recovered by simply scraping the salt crust off the lake bottom with bulldozers or scrapers. Ancient rock salt is mined in Michigan, New York, Kansas, and other states. Solution mining is used to recover salt from underground “salt domes” in Louisiana and Texas. Recovery of salt from dry lakes takes place in the deserts of California, Nevada, and Utah.

Table Salt

Table salt is actually 97.5% sodium chloride and 2.5% chemicals such as moisture absorbents, and iodine. Dried at over 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit, the excessive heat alters the natural chemical structure of the salt causing the potential for many health problems in your body. Table salt is not recommended in your healing arsenal.

Dead Sea Salt

The mineral content of the Dead Sea is significantly different from that of ocean water, consisting of approximately 53% magnesium chloride, 37% potassium chloride and 8% sodium chloride (common salt) with the remainder comprised of various trace elements. The concentration of sulfate, SO42-, ions is very low, and the bromide ion concentration is the highest of all waters on Earth. Chlorides neutralize most of the calcium ions in the Dead Sea and its surroundings. While in other seas sodium chloride is 97% of the salts, in the Dead Sea the quantity of NaCl is only 12-18%. Comparison between the chemical composition of the Dead Sea to other lakes and oceans show that the salt concentration in the Dead Sea is 31.5% (the salinity fluctuates somewhat). Because of its unusually high concentration of salt, anyone can easily float in the Dead Sea because of natural buoyancy as a result of the higher density of the water.

Celtic Sea Salt

This salt is unparalleled in the world. Less than 1% of the world’s salt harvest has the quality of Celtic Sea Salt. Pure, moist, biologically active, and free from any chemicals or additives, this is considered “living sea salt”. Celts discovered a way to harvest salt from the ocean using the sun, the wind, and shallow clay ponds. Pristine ocean channels spiral water into the concentrating ponds. The live flowing mixture is carefully stirred by the salt farmer, and dazzling crystals form and are gathered by hand. The ionizing action of the clay, combined with the artisan’s skillful method, passed down through generations, enlivens the unique, bioavailable array of trace elements that exist in a perfectly balanced matrix.

Epsom Salts

This salt is a rich source of magnesium. Magnesium helps to regulate the activity of more than 325 enzymes and performs a vital role in orchestrating many bodily functions, from muscle control and electrical impulses to energy production and the elimination of harmful toxins. Epsom Salt also delivers sulfates, which are extremely difficult to get through food but which readily absorb through the skin. Sulfates serve a wide variety of functions in the body, playing a vital role in the formation of brain tissue, joint proteins and the mucin proteins that line the walls of the digestive tract. Sulfates also stimulate the pancreas to generate digestive enzymes and are believed to help detoxify the body’s residue of medicines and environmental contaminants. Soak in a tub full of hot water with a few cups of Epsom Salts. This is good for relaxing muscles and drawing toxins from the body. When magnesium sulfate is absorbed through the skin, such as in a bath, it draws toxins from the body, sedates the nervous system, reduces swelling, relaxes muscles, is a natural emollient, exfoliator, and much more. Soak for 15-20 minutes.

Himalayan Crystal Salt

Himalayan Crystal Salt is salt in its native form, with all its vibrational energy intact and it helps your body return to a state of balance. Not having balanced electrolytes shifts your body out of homeostasis – the balance of chemicals that is conducive to the body’s function. The renowned Frezenius Institute in Europe analyzed the Himalayan Crystal Salt and proved that it has an amazing array of important trace minerals and elements including potassium, calcium and magnesium that help your body achieve balance by restoring fluids and replenishing your supply of electrolytes whenever you sweat heavily.

Salt Water

The healing abilities of salt water are profound and well documented. Salt water is an astringent and speeds wound healing. Floating in sea water is an extreme release of tension and stress of the day. Allow yourself to float weightlessly in the water. You deserve it.

Sea Air

Deep breathing of ocean air helps us to relax and let go. The faint smell of salt in the air can take us to a place of pure joy. Sea air has a certain aliveness found no where else. This deep breathing can help release tension and the problems associated with it.

Thalassotherapy (from the Greek word thalassos, meaning “sea”) is the medical use of seawater. The properties of seawater are believed to have beneficial effects upon the pores of the skin. Thalassotherapy was developed in seaside towns in France during the 19th century. Trace elements of magnesium, potassium, calcium sulphates and sodium, found in seawater, are believed to be absorbed through the skin. The therapy is applied in various forms, as either showers of warmed seawater, application of marine mud or of algae paste, or the inhalation of sea fog. Spas make hot seawater and provide mud- and seaweed wrapping services available.

Healing Salt Remedies

Chronic sinusitis refers to inflammation of the sinuses that continues for weeks, months, or even years. Allergies are the most common cause of chronic sinusitis. Chronic sinusitis can persist even after antibiotics are given. It’s the most frequently reported chronic disease.

Acute sinusitis occurs when bacteria invade the sinus cavities and impair proper drainage of mucus from the sinuses to the nose. Chronic inflammation of the nasal passages or rhinitis also can lead to sinusitis. Allergic rhinitis or hay fever is the most common cause of chronic sinusitis and is a frequent cause of acute sinusitis.

The common cold is the most prevalent predisposing factor to sinusitis. Acute sinusitis typically causes symptoms of nasal congestion and a thick yellow or green discharge. Other symptoms include tenderness and pain over the sinuses, frontal headaches, and sometimes chills, fever, and pressure in the area of the sinuses.

Entering bacteria gets trapped and filtered out by mucus and minute nasal hairs called cilia. This air-flow system can sometimes slow down when something impedes the cilia, if a cold clogs the sinus openings, or if an allergen swells the sinus linings. Then air gets trapped, pressure builds, the mucus stagnates, and bacteria breed. Infection sets in and you have sinusitis. When you get clogged up, you may end up with a permanent thickening of the sinus membranes and chronic congestion.

Sinus Wash

Flush out nasal secretions. Mix 1 teaspoon of non-iodized salt or sea salt with 2 cups of warm water and a pinch of baking soda. Pour it into a shot glass, tilt your head back, close one nostril with your thumb, and sniff the solution with the open nostril. Then blow your nose gently. Repeat on the other side.

An Ayurvedic solution, similar to this is done in the same manner with a Neti Pot. It looks similar to a tea pot, but with a longer, narrower spout for the nostrils. These can be found in most health food stores.

A cup or handful of water in your hand or neti pot is a wonderful cleansing therapy. Slowly inhale the salt water into your nose to cleanse your sinus and open up the air passages. Over the counter nasal washes (not nasal sprays) are available. The simplest form is a non iodized salt water spray.

Mouth Care

The tissues in the mouth can benefit greatly from sea salt.

For bleeding gums – make a paste of 1 tsp. baking soda to 1/2 tsp. sea salt…brush with this mixture 3 times per day instead of the toothpaste. You can also add a few drops of tea tree oil.

Gargle with warm salt water a few times a day to relieve a sore throat, mouth sores or canker sores.

Negative Energy and Sea Salt

Cleansing with sea salt is a safe and effective way to clear any space of negative energy. Sea salt is obtained by evaporating seawater. Salt occurs naturally in many parts of the world as the mineral halite and as mixed evaporates in salt lakes. Underground salt deposits are found in both bedded sedimentary layers and domal deposits.

Energy in itself, is the vital source, which radiates from everything and everyone around us. When we are ill, emotionally upset, angered or imbalanced, our moods and of course, our energy is altered. Coming in contact with energy that is negative can often be sensed, even felt. The result is often a feeling of uneasiness, confusion or an opposed feeling to our current state of mind.

Cleansing with sea salt or rock salt is preferred over iodized, processed table salt.

Cleansing a room with salt can be done by placing salt in small bowls and placing them in the 4 corners for 24 hours. Take two teaspoons of sea salt and dissolve it into some warm water. Pour it into a mister or spray bottle and spray it where ever you need cleansing.

Cleansing yourself of negative vibes can be done by misting yourself for an overall clearing. Draw a bath. As the hot water is filling the tube, add two or more tablespoons of sea salt to the running water and stir it so it dissolves in the tube. Relax in your bath for 15-20 minutes.

Cleansing your crystals can be done by placing a teaspoon of sea salt into a bowl of luke warm water. Make sure the salt is dissolved, then place your crystals in the water for twenty four hours.

Adding herbs or essential oils to sea salt can give an added bonus to cleansing. Herbs such as lavender, sandalwood, tea tree, thyme, rosemary are all good compliments. When using herbs, place them in the salt and shake the salt in a closed container. This bruises the herbs and allows its essential oils to incorporate into the salt matrix. When using essential oils, add a few drops to salt and then stir or shake the salt in order to mix them well.

Think Herbal Inks

Did you ever wonder what people used for ink before the ballpoint pen was invented? You’d be correct if you suggested berry juice (blueberries, cherries, pokeberries, strawberries) or chimney soot—the sort of thing that would definitely intrigue a forensic analyst. But the most important ink in Western history was made from oak galls and iron. Leonardo da Vinci invented with it; Van Gogh and Rembrandt drew with it; Bach made music with it; and the framers of the Constitution of the United States made history with it.

Oak Gall-Iron Ink
This famous seventeenth-century recipe for ink certainly involves a great deal of preparation. It’s a wonder that letters got written, don’t you think?

To make good ink. Take 5 ounces of the best Nuttgalls, break them in a mortar but not in small pieces, then put the galls into one quart of clear rain water or soft spring water, let them stand 4 or 5 days shaking them often, then take 2 ounces of white gum arabick, 1 ounce of double refined sugar, 1 piece of indigo and put in the same and shake them well and let them stand 4 or 5 days more. Then take 2 ounces of good green copperis the larger the better and having first washed off the filth put in to the rest and also a piece of clear gum [arabic], about as big as a walnut to set the colour and it will be fit for use.

Walnut Hull Ink
Try this easier Colonial American ink with your children.

12 walnut hulls
1 cup water
¼ teaspoon vinegar

(This is smelly. Open your kitchen window before you begin!) Put the hulls into an old sock, tie securely, and hammer to break up the hulls. Empty into an old saucepan, add water and vinegar, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 30 minutes. Pour into a small lidded jar and store in the refrigerator.

Scented Ink
When Victorian ladies wrote to friends, they often used scented ink, and lavender was a favorite. Experiment with various strongly scented herbs.

¼ cup lavender blossoms
1 bottle ink
1/3 cup water

Crush herbs and place with water in a non-reactive saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes, watching to be sure that the water does not completely boil away. The scent is ready when the liquid is brown. Strain, discard the leaves. Add 4 teaspoons to a bottle of ink.

“Preserve the backs of old letters to write upon. If you have children who are learning to write, buy coarse white paper by the quantity, and keep it locked up, ready to be made into writing books. It does not cost half as much as it does to buy them at the stationer’s.” —Mrs. Child, The American Frugal Housewife, 1833

Anything Can Be Overcome
By Madisyn Taylor

Even when it seems like you have nowhere left to turn, there is a solution waiting for you. Always.

The journey that each human being makes through earthly existence can have hardship as often as it is touched by joy. When we encounter adversity, the stress we feel can erode our optimism, eventually convincing us that the issues we face cannot be overcome. In truth, there is no situation so dire, no challenge so great, and no choice so bewildering that it cannot be overcome. Though we may believe that all avenues have been closed to us or that our most conscientious efforts will come to naught, we are never without feasible options. The best course of action may be veiled in doubt, but it is there. When we are honest with ourselves with regard to this simple fact, we can overcome anything because we will never stop looking for a solution to the challenges before us.

Self-trust coupled with a sturdy plan is the ultimate antidote to adversity’s tendency to inspire disillusionment in the human mind. As difficult as the obstacle plaguing you seems, it is no match for the love of a supportive universe that has been a part of your life since the day of your birth and will be with you forevermore. Try not to be misguided by your fear as this gives rise to the notion that there are problems without solutions. If you believe in your capabilities and dedicate yourself to the creation of some form of resolution, you will be surprised to discover that paths that were once closed to you miraculously open. Even if all you can do is change your perspective to turn an impediment into an opportunity to grow, you will have found the hope that is an inherent element of all hardship.

Remember that your destiny is a product of your own creation. Even when it seems you have nowhere left to turn, there is a solution waiting for you. The only insurmountable obstacles are the ones you create in your own mind–and these can only exert power over you if you let them. Uncertainty will always be a part of your existence, but perseverance and mindfulness will never fail to see you through to the other side of hardship where joy can thrive. Try and remember that no matter what life places at your feet, there is absolutely no situation that cannot be resolved with time, love, and friendship.

Magee 3

I knew I had to take action. I couldn’t just sit there and let Charley’s Cadillac be stolen. I growled and lunged forward from the back seat onto the driver’s shoulders and covered his eyes with my paws. He cried out. The Caddy lurched forward. Then his foot came off the gas. The Caddy stalled. He twisted trying to swat me. His accomplice yelled; he turned to help him. I growled as loud as I could.
Maybe I wasn’t as forceful as Lassie or Rin Tin Tin but in a small space, what I was doing was effective. Usually I knew not to bite, but extreme circumstances call for desperate actions. As his accomplice’s hand swung toward me I nipped one of his fingers. He screamed and fell against the driver.
I nipped the driver’s ear.
“Hold fast, Magee.” I heard Marjorie’s voice from heaven as clearly as though she were sitting right there beside me. Then I saw her box the driver’s ears and punch the side of the accomplice’s face.
“Pay attention now Magee. Hit the back seat window button with your paw and as soon as it opens jump from the car.” This wasn’t exactly what I had in mind but I followed her instructions. Fortunately the driver was too confused to get the car moving.
His accomplice yelled. “Drive away.”
“I can’t,” he gasped. “It’s a stick shift. I don’t know how to work the clutch. The car keeps stalling out.”
“Cops,” the accomplice yelled. “Get out and run.”
I heard police sirens. Then I heard Marjorie again. Her voice was emphatic. “We must keep them from running away, keep them confined to the parking lot. They mustn’t escape.”
Not knowing what to do I barked as loud as I could and ran back and forth near the car.
I could see the blinking blue light as the cruiser got closer. Then I saw Raven and Charley rush from the restaurant.
Again I heard Marjorie. “Keep them confined Magee.”
I kept running and barking. Those of you who’ve never tried apprehending carjackers let me say it’s difficult at best and better not to do so with a tummy full of lobster crab wafers. They can slow you down as well as make you feel nauseous.
Fortunately by now Raven, Charley, Sippi and even Aunt Bea were in the parking lot.
Sippi called out, “we’re coming Magee.”
I scampered over to her and Aunt Bea picked me up and hugged me close to her. “My adorable hero,” she cooed.
Raven yanked open the driver’s side car door and pulled out the would-be carjacker. He was obviously young. His eyes were wide and he looked dazed. Sippi grabbed the accomplice and pinned him to the ground. Charley was on his phone when the squad car pulled into the lot. Two patrolmen jumped out.
“I’m calling Chief Mallory,” Charley said.
The patrolmen recognized Sippi. They cuffed the two carjackers. The driver was bleeding from his ear. The accomplice’s face was red and puffy from where Marjorie had swatted him.
“You boys get into a fight,” a patrolman asked?”
They shook their heads and stuttered, “N-n-no.”
One of the patrolmen read them their rights.
Aunt Bea held me tight. “What a horribly traumatic experience for you to endure darlin’.” Then she patted me, reached into her bag and started to give me another lobster crab wafer. I turned away; enough was enough.
“He might be too excited to hold down any food right now,” Sippi said.
“Who beat you two up,” a patrolman asked?
“Someone with a big dog,” the driver said.
“Yeah big and mean, probably a pit bull,” the accomplice said.
“Lots of pit bulls around here,” Raven said.
“What’s your name?” The patrolman asked.
He gave his name.
“I know your father,” Charley said.
“Lot of people do,” the kid said. He knows the President. Got pardoned.
“So Horace is your dad,” Charley said. How does he know the President?
“Yeah,” the kid said. “I know my rights. I want my old man’s lawyer.”
The patrolmen put them both in the back of the cruiser and drove away.
“We’ll probably have to sign a statement,” Charley said.
Sippi grinned at Raven. “Pit bulls, huh?”
“Kind of guilt by association,” Raven said. “But I’d just as soon Magee wasn’t involved.”
“Makes sense to me,” Sippi said.
“I agree,” Aunt Bea said.
“Justice wears a blindfold,” Charley said.
Charley’s cell phone sounded. He answered, listened and put it on speaker phone. “Hello Horace.”
“Who attacked my son and his friend?”
“No idea,” Charley said. “By the time we came out of Reunion they looked like they’d been in a fight.”
“Police brutality?” Horace asked.
“We came out minutes before the patrolmen arrived. The kids were still in my car, but they looked as though they’d been in some kind of a scuffle. I did hear the patrolmen read them their rights. I assume they were taken to a hospital or the police infirmary.
“You haven’t heard the end of this, Smiles,” the rasping voice said.
“I’m sure,” Charley said.
“By the way,” Charley said. “How’d you get your pardon?”
“Us guys in the concrete business stick together.”
“Good pun,” Charley smirked.
That ended the call. Charley went back into the restaurant. When he came out he handed around doggie bags. They smelled good however I wasn’t hungry, not one bit.
As Charley drove us back to Sippi’s condo Aunt Bea leaned over to the back seat and said to Sippi. “What I’d like to know is, who beat up on those two?” She smiled. “Do you know Magee?”
It would have been so easy if I could have said, “Marjorie came down from heaven and protected me.” But that’s not how it works for a dog. Instead, I envisioned Marjorie and thought her image toward Aunt Bea and Sippi.
“Funny,” Sippi said. “I just thought of Marjorie Latimer. Out of the blue. Just like that.”
I yipped and wagged my tail.
“I did too,” Aunt Bea said. “But she’s on the other side. How could she have come to Magee’s rescue that way?”
I wagged my tail and kept envisioning Marjorie. Maybe someday humans will understand how they all live forever and can stay in touch as long as they let it happen. I guess that for a dog like me that’s easier than for them.

Weekly Horoscopes beginning: Sunday, 20 January 2019

If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Things are unlikely to go as intended. Worrying as that sounds, the second of January`s two eclipses takes place on Monday, and is triggering shakeups for everybody, including you. However, what`s least expected will turn out brilliantly. So, explore everything, including strange ideas or offers or unwelcome events. By the week`s close, you`ll have discovered exactly what form those often-unexpected benefits will take.

Changes happening now make you confused about the future. Plans you thought would go ahead may need to be cancelled. Normally you can sense whether or not you`re on the right path but these days you can`t work out what is going on. A joint matter needs more than a cursory glance. In fact, something seems quite urgent so don`t stall when you need to make a quick decision. Someone is relying on your support and they are worthy of your assistance.

Let`s hope that by now someone has recognised your creative talents and just how much you need the opportunity and support to develop these. A really smart employer would ask you to put together a strategy or presentation before the end of this week with a view to implementing some of your ideas in the month following your birthday. Accessing both the energy and the enthusiasm to put forward a proposal is unlikely to be difficult: Mars is travelling through your sign. Where you will need to take care is that you don`t present a scattergun approach. It`s likely imperative that you present both the ideas and the realistic schedule for their implementation. You might also benefit from showing willing to partner with someone who moves at rather slower pace than your own, but has a track record of seeing things through to the finish..

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Obviously, having carefully organised plans disrupted, if not undone, is annoying. Yet with events, both in your own circumstances and the lives of others, raising questions about what`s best, the discovery you`ve unanticipated options is a relief. Waste no time debating their potential. Get involved. The more swiftly you move, the more you`ll learn, and the more you`ll benefit now, and during the coming year.

Take a moment to celebrate a special achievement. Now you have gained a new skill or qualification, you can separate yourself from the person you used to be and be proud of how far you have come to reach this stage. Several people are taking an interest in you. Although you will enjoy this chance to make new friends, you still need to protect your privacy and your personal space. There`s nothing wrong with wanting to keep some feelings to yourself.

As is likely to be the case that many people, you will likely feel much better once Monday`s lunar eclipse is in the past. True, following that event and with others having declared their intention, there will likely be much for you to do. This might even require obtaining legal advice. This isn`t so much about going to war as ensuring that you know exactly where you stand and what the next stage of a project is to be. A twist on this may be making urgent travel arrangements. One way or another, it seems imperative that before Friday, that you are clear as to plans, scheduling and even minute timetabling. In all this you might benefit from the assistance of those born under the Fire signs of Aries, Leo or Sagittarius. Here, though, you may be aware that their enthusiasm is often not backed up with sound planning and that careful monitoring will be needed.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

It probably seems like life`s been about nothing but details, most dull. True, these have been as persistent as they`ve been inescapable. However, Thursday`s move by your ruler Mercury, into one of the most expansive portions of your chart, ends that dull cycle and shifts your focus to new ideas, and to intriguing people and places. Knowing that`s coming, tackle those practicalities swiftly, and in depth.

A choice you have to make will have big consequences, but you have a good idea about what you intend to do. If someone is trying to interfere, ignore their advice and proceed without their permission. Taking the initiative in a group or professional project will earn the trust and respect of your peers. Some members of the team have dropped out because of the work involved but you don`t mind getting on with tasks that no one else wants to do..

Monday`s lunar eclipse is important. It`s probable that others want to know exactly where you stand and will demand that you keep to an earlier word. This might not be the most comfortable of times as a result. It`s probable that your thinking has moved on and that you now have greater understanding of the difficulties that others have been facing. All that said, you presumably cannot allow yourself to be pushed into following a path that at some level seems to go against the grain. The start of this week could prove uncomfortable. By Friday however a strategy could be in place. You might even have reason to be grateful to an adviser who is excellent at presentation. Their understanding of your beliefs but also of recent developments, might then allow you to present a united front – from which further constructive operations can be put in place.

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Usually, planning ahead is wise; but because Monday`s Full Moon is also an eclipse, and indicates sudden changes in circumstances, in your own life but just as much around you, the more flexible both arrangements and your thinking are, the better. Unsettling if not, at times, worrying as certain events seem now, when viewed in retrospect, you`ll recognise them as the breakthroughs they are.

Before making any changes to your lifestyle, think about whether you are doing this for the right reason. If you are angry, upset or disappointed with someone, wait a while to see if you feel the same way once you`ve had a chance to calm down. Be prepared to experience new things and learn something useful. This is your chance to leap into a course of study or take a long-distance trip that opens your eyes to new culture, creeds and countries.

You will likely feel more at ease once Monday`s lunar eclipse is out of the way. You`ve presumably been waiting for others to declare exactly where they stand. As of Tuesday, the amount of work headed your way offers a different kind of challenge. Now you know exactly how much you could or should have on your plate. Exciting as all this may be – and it`s entirely possible that you`ve now attracted conditions that will bring out the best in you, – it would be understandable if you felt totally overwhelmed. Maintaining control of administration will likely test your organisational abilities to the full. Don`t underestimate this talent as over Wednesday and Thursday and the very early part of Friday, your ability to pull together the different threads needed in order to launch something (presumably next month) though true, requiring extra diligence and perhaps long hours, may be exactly the kind of challenge you want to embrace in 2019.

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

After weeks of twists and turns in circumstances, most entirely unexpected, you`re ready for a break; but, actually, these events have been preparing you for the exciting, if unsettling, breakthroughs triggered by Monday`s powerful Leo eclipsed Full Moon. This brings both existing issues and questionable plans to a head but, importantly, adds twists that may seem alarming at the time, but which are exactly what`s needed.

You can be expressive, dramatic and gregarious. Don`t be surprised when some of your most sociable friends seek out your company. Being cheerful seems to be attracting all sorts of attention and most of it is good. At work you will impress the powers that be with your leadership skills and your creativity.. In romance, use your imagination to find new ways to thrill and excite your partner. If you`re single, you`ll feel a connection with someone who appreciates your generous spirit.

It might take you a couple of days after Monday`s lunar eclipse (in your sign), for you to feel even remotely balanced. It would be wise – during what they will be an unsettling period, – to be careful about what you say and to whom. Righteous as you may feel about certain matters, there may be no need for you to emphasise your point. You will surely have got it across with clarity on Monday. It`s then up to others to find ways of working with you. That could be done and yes, you could show animosity on Friday. You presumably want to push ahead now that you know exactly what it is you want, and don`t want to put in place further obstacles. Finding solutions and moving forward now may be more imperative that pointing out what`s gone wrong in the past.

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Tempting as it is to stick to longstanding plans, it`s unwise. True, the changes that are triggering this process of review are unsettling. However, they`re part of a cycle that`s taking you into new territory, personally and in terms of your long-term future. That being the case, regard even seemingly worrying changes as the timely opportunity to broaden your horizons that they are.

A family issue will trigger emotional issues you have been keeping to yourself. This is your chance to get your feelings out into the open. Once they are discussed, this will help you face up to matters you have been avoiding and it will suddenly seem urgent that these be dealt with. If you have been careful with your money, you will now be reaping the benefits. You might afford a little treat to share with your partner or best friend. You could use an evening out.

Feelings may be running high at the start of this important week. Until Monday`s lunar eclipse (a special kind of full moon is firmly in the past), many people are likely to feel unsettled. You may not be to get your own points across until the Moon reaches your sign on Wednesday. From then, pointing out to others the sheer practicalities of following through on some of the decisions made could actually feel comforting. You are after all, at your best when resolving administrative issues. It`s probable too that you have an outline plan. In fact, this may have been incubating for many years. Now is presumably the time to put it into practice and, in particular, engage with those who tend to be hot-headed and are now all fired up and ready to go. Drawing together a team and working through issues should bring out the best in you.

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

When you sidestepped clashes over potentially troublesome issues or ignored the bad behaviour of certain individuals, you were hoping those problems would resolve themselves. They haven`t. So, talk things over, and frankly. That seems worrying; but the resulting discussions won`t just resolve those persistent issues, they`ll create a new, and more lasting, bond with those individuals who have a central place in your life or heart.

Your charming personality makes you popular. With you now being in a stimulating social cycle, you won`t be surprised to find yourself making even more new friends. You won`t ever be stuck for something to do as there will be plenty suggestions from old friends, new friends and family members. Some exciting career opportunities are coming your way. If your job involves music, art, drama or teaching, you will find the work relaxing as well as profitable.

By the end of what promises to be a super busy week, you could be flying high. It helps of course that Mars is in your opposite sign and that others seem to be propelling you forward. You`ve no doubt heard that there are times when Libra procrastinates and can appear even overly lazy. That`s unlikely to be true this week. Galvanised from Monday`s lunar eclipse when finally, you might know exactly where other people stand, you may be ready to push forward. By then, legal arguments, the wording of documents and general administration should be easier to comprehend. It`s perhaps no exaggeration at all to suggest that by Friday (Venus` and your day of the week), you will be showing the best of that truly Libra quality: conciliating and finding arbitration.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

True, recently you`ve reviewed both long-standing and recent arrangements, many in depth.. However, Monday`s eclipsed Full Moon accents the structure of your life, so kick-starts a cycle of abrupt and, ultimately, timely change. Obviously, you`re tempted to try to rein in unexpected developments. Actually, you`re better off organising arrangements in a way that will accommodate the twists and turns currently reshaping your world and your life.

You need to get to grips with personal issues that block you from revealing your true feelings. Fear of rejection prevents you from making a romantic dream come true. The only way to overcome this is to open up and be honest with your partner. Your home has a lot to offer and you might make the most of the chance, later on, to spend some quality time with your family. Relaxing within the comfort of your own four walls takes the edge off your nerves.

Soon after Monday`s lunar eclipse and before the Moon reaches the apex of your solar chart on Wednesday, it`s time to reassess your position and authority. It may be that you feel the need to flex muscle. Perhaps you`re right in thinking that others have lost sight of what`s important. Galvanising others and ensuring that a team is both in place and in full working order by Friday may be a tall order but nothing you can`t manage. The key thing here is that as of Monday you should know exactly where others stand and how much energy they have available to fulfil responsibilities. Though you might not concur with some of their findings, you`ll surely agree that at least now a plan is emerging. It would be wise not to underestimate your powers of persuasion. Indeed, in harmony with someone who has clear and proven administrative abilities you could make great headway before the last quarter moon in your sign on Sunday.

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

While, understandably, you`ll be tempted to battle pointless rules or restrictive arrangements, ignore what you can, and do the minimum about the rest. This may seem a compromise but means you`ll be free to take advantage of the amazing ideas, offers or completely unexpected developments indicated by the series of stunning aspects involving your ruler Jupiter. Not all will turn out brilliantly, but a surprising number will.

Events and activities shared with friends will be both delightful and fun. Younger relatives are extremely helpful when it comes to getting routine chores done. You might wonder what they`re after as they aren`t normally so quick to volunteer to lend a hand. A spontaneous meeting with an old friend or schoolmate will make you want to stop what you`re doing and catch up on each other`s lives. Since you both have other obligations, this will have to be for another time.

It`s probable you`ve reached a turning point. That`s not just down to Monday`s lunar Eclipse, but due to the combination with a major aspect between Mars and Jupiter presently passing through your sign on Friday. It may be time to plan in earnest. True, you probably need to know exactly where others stand but that may be clear soon after Monday`s lunar eclipse. With that as clear as it can be for the moment, you can then address outstanding issues. Amongst these, may be very definite health concerns and fitness. Note that in the year when Jupiter passes through your sign, it becomes ever more important to regularly detoxifying. This January, that perhaps ought to take priority. As far as career matters are concerned, anticipate others beating a path to your door. They may absolutely need your expertise – particularly if they`re planning an event for early spring and would benefit from your networking.

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

As you may already have noticed, you`re in a cycle during which obstacles, some of which seem unfair, are prompting you to visit new places and meet people you wouldn`t otherwise encounter.. This is especially the case now. Knowing that, go with the flow. This means side-lining passions, if only temporarily, and equally, being aware that what`s least expected could lead to something quite spectacular.

Someone is taking your constructive criticism too personally. You aren`t trying to make anyone doubt themselves and if they are willing to listen to what you have to say, they will realise you are trying to help, not hinder their progress. Anything you strive for now will take dedication. You have never shied away from hard work and you are more determined than ever to get ahead. This is your chance to develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Take this opportunity for growth.

Monday`s lunar eclipse could prove a defining moment. Decisions made in the last fortnight should come to light but at least leave you then knowing where you stand. True, this is likely to bring far more work your way – particularly of the administrative kind. Untangling thought processes and determining fresh schedules will no doubt be a demanding task. Yet this could find you in your element. If the project is not scheduled to complete until the end of the year, and can be paced correctly, this could prove a defining year in your career journey. Note too that someone might make the decision to leave a task completely. Whilst you might breathe a sigh of relief at one level, this too could bring more work your way.

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

The clash between both the Sun and Mercury and your ruling planet, Uranus, suggest you`re in for a few bumps; but they`ll be minor, and, in fact, some will encourage you to disentangle yourself from restrictive arrangements. This is timely, simply because by midweek, the tide turns, and suddenly you`ll be juggling ideas and offers, and will be relieved you decluttered your diary, and your life.

Someone you have known some time can seem to almost to read your mind. You feel a little wary knowing how aware they are of your innermost feelings. Once you get used to this new closeness between you, you will feel as if the pair of you are meant to be together. Entertaining at home won`t be as exciting as going out in the evenings. You always enjoy being spontaneous, so why not accept a friend`s invitation to do something slightly different to normal.

It will likely take a few days after Monday`s lunar eclipse in your opposite sign, before you can be reconciled to decisions taken. Whilst it may be that at some level decisions have been pragmatic, you might also be aware of the deeply held convictions and emotions that lie beneath. You`re probably right to anticipate that these will resurface. Whilst others scramble to get teams together and implement decisions taken, it might worry you greatly several people are taking actions which you know to be totally against their personal codes. You are likely right to worry. Yet it could be mid- April before they are fully aware of the impact of their choices. Though you might despair of the actions of some people (most likely born under one of the Mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius Pisces), you might equally be transfixed and applaud the stance taken by those born under the Fire signs of Aries, Leo or Sagittarius. With regard to the latter, it may be that in joining forces, that before long you are viewed as the A team and a vital component within a larger organisation.

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Nobody would blame you for dwelling on recent unsettling, if not upsetting events. Instead, focus on matters you`ve hoped would resolve themselves. While they might, doing all you can to clear these away frees you. This, in turn, will clear both your mind and your agenda, so that you`ll be able to concentrate on the remarkable ideas or offers promised by the events around the week`s close.

You`re excited about the prospect of making some changes in the home. As well as adding value or some glamour to your property, improving your environment will create a feeling of contentment. You might get some great tips and decorative ideas from a Libran friend. Initiate new projects and go with a desire to start a new chapter. You have enough energy for two so rather than wait for others to join you, move an important project forward on your own.

It would be as well to anticipate high drama around Monday`s lunar eclipse. It will presumably take some days after this cosmic event before the realisation of actions and decisions taken are fully felt. At one level, it might amaze you that others are now at last moving forward: at another, you may be really concerned as to whether certain individuals are pushing themselves too hard and too fast. Note that yours is one of the Water signs of the Zodiac i.e. yours is one of the signs that most obviously `feels`. You`re probably right to observe that some people are operating solely at thinking level and that their emotions will yet catch up with them. Being prepared for that fallout might be wise. Meantime, don`t underestimate the potential for your profile to be raised considerably before the end of this week when Mars and Jupiter make a fabulous aspect. With Jupiter presently at the apex of the solar chart, it`s probable that your star will be shining and mesmerising to many.
