Full Pink Moon April 29, 2018

After the long winter it’s time to throw your head back and howl at the Full Pink Moon April 29, 2018 in Scorpio. This is a wonderful time of year because it expresses rebirth and growth. This full Moon is calling us to be aware of our deepest desires. This moon may look full a day before and after to the casual observer.

Why is the April Full Moon pink?

Despite its name, the Pink Moon does not actually turn pink in April – in fact the moon never changes its color.

The Pink Moon owes its name to pink flowers called wild ground phlox which bloom in springtime. This moon is also known as Egg Moon, due to spring egg-laying season. Both names, Pink and Egg, indicate the sprouting of seed and the explosion of bright beauty found in the phlox (pink) and other flowers rising for the spring debut.

This is the perfect full moon to complement the April 15 new moon because the major theme of that new moon was making a positive change in your life.

The April 29 full moon now brings the stability and security to crystallize recent changes and make them permanent improvements. This is a good full moon for making new partnerships binding, formal and legal. It is a good full moon for tradition, ritual and ceremony.

This is indeed a lucky time of year. If you’ve been struggling at the first part of this year things should turn around for you if you pay attention and give thanks for this full Moon.

With April’s Full Moon come new beginnings, new growth and the perfect opportunity to take control of your life. It’s time to tap into that innate sense of power you have over your life.

We are moving forward on our spiritual journey and it’s not to our benefit to look back. The past is over and it’s time to be in the here and now. Do not worry about the future. Only be concerned about where you are on your spiritual path NOW.

Asking ourselves the following questions may help us tune into what the universe wants us to see.

How much is too much?
Where do we draw the line? What are the risks in doing so?
How bad do we want it and how far are we willing to go to get it?
Is enough ever enough?

Nobody knows the answers except for us—taking a minute to honestly ask ourselves may prove beneficial.

Shine The Diamond of Your Soul.

This time of year is filled with pink healing energy that can be opened up to receive and embrace its majesty and glory.

This Pink Moon is calling for us to spiritually shed the dead parts of winter from our souls and make way for the new growth that is being released at this sacred time.

This is your opportunity to advance your soul growth. Do not let this moment pass you by. It is easy to say that I will do it tomorrow or the next day or the next day, and soon you will discover that ten years have gone behind you, and you will wonder what you did with your life during that time.

Use the energy of this Full Moon to Blossom just like spring flowers and continue to get deeply rooted in changing your life and becoming a gentle spirit that blesses everyone you encounter. Just like angels and fairies send blessings as they pass by let this be your gift to everyone in your life.

Clean and shine the diamond of your soul and let that light shine, so that people wonder as you pass by-what it was that just touched their soul.

Burning Bowl Full Moon Ceremony

The burning bowl ceremony is a fire ceremony that helps us to release old, unwanted conditions or events in our lives. Just like Mother Earth sheds winter for spring. Let go of the old that no longer serves to make way for the new. It clears the way for new beginnings. It is a wonderful way of letting go. This ceremony can be done at any time: Sometimes we need a powerful outlet to let the old go so you can make room for the new in your life. American Indians always used smoke as a symbol of their thoughts and prayers going up to the Great Spirit.

Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything – anger, anxiety, or possessions – we cannot be free.

It is best to do a meditation or quiet your mind prior to writing out what you want to release. Write what you no longer want in your life and what you need to let go of on a piece of paper. Grab a pot, use a fireplace, barbecue or something safe to burn your written releases in. As you watch the paper burn visualize the smoke going up into spirit and being released from you. You can do a simple prayer as you watch the smoke:

Once it has been burnt, blow, fling, or pour the ashes in a lake, stream or into the wind off and away from your property as you say be gone and let it go from your thoughts.

Take this time to celebrate the beauty of the moon and all the inspiration that it gives us.

If you do decide to howl make sure you don’t freak out your neighbors. Have fun, dance, sing, and enjoy yourself.

Beltane: A Sacred Time

Beltane is a time to devote energy to growth and integration. It is a time of celebration, exuberance and hope, when we should enjoy and appreciate the gifts of nature.

Going A-May-ing & Bringing in the May — Merry-making and Nature communion. * Midpoint between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. * In Pagan Rome, Floralia, from April 27-May 3 was the festival of the Flower Goddess Flora and the flowering of Springtime. On May 1, offerings were made to Bona Dea (as Mother Earth), the Lares (household guardian spirits), and Maia (Goddess of Increase) from whom May gets its name. * Roman Catholic traditions of crowning statues of Mary with flowers on May 1 have Roman Pagan roots. * Marks the second half of the Celtic Year; one of the four Celtic Fire Festivals. Complement to Samhain, it is a time of divination and communion with Fairy Folk/Nature Spirits. * Pastoral tradition of turning sheep, cows, other livestock out to pasture. * In Pagan Scandinavia, mock battles between Winter and Summer were enacted at this time. * Building on older tradition of this time being a holiday for the masses, in the twentieth century, May Day has been a workers’ holiday in many places. * Some say that Mother’s Day, in the USA, Mexico, and elsewhere has Pagan roots.

Maypole
Forms include pole, tree, bush, cross; communal or household; permanent or annual. * In Germany, Fir tree was cut on May Eve by young unmarried men, branches removed, decorated, put up in village square, & guarded all night until dance occurred on May Day. * In England, permanent Maypoles were erected on village greens * In some villages, there also were smaller Maypoles in the yards of households. * Maypole ribbondances, with two circles interweaving; around decorated bush/tree, clockwise circle dances.

Flowers & Greenwood
Gathering and exchange of Flowers and Greens on May Eve, pre-dawn May Day, Beltane. * Decorating homes, barns, and other buildings with Green budding branches, including Hawthorn. * Making and wearing of garland wreaths of Flowers and/or Greens. * May Baskets were given or placed secretly on doorsteps to friends, shut-ins, lovers, others. * May Bowl was punch (wine or non-alcoholic) made of Sweet Woodruff blossoms.

Beltane Fires
Traditionally, sacred woods kindled by spark from flint or by friction — in Irish Gaelic, the Beltane Fire has been called teine eigin (fire from rubbing sticks). * Jump over the Beltane Fire, move through it, or dance clockwise around it. * Livestock was driven through it or between two fires for purification and fertility blessings. * In ancient times Druid priests kindled it at sacred places; later times, Christian priests kindled it in fields near the church after performing a Christian church service. * Rowan twigs were carried around the fire three times, then hung over hearths to bless homes. * In the past, Beltane community fire purification customs included symbolic sacrifice of effigy knobs on the Beltane Cake (of barley) to the fire, or, in medieval times, mock sacrifice of Beltane Carline (Hag) who received blackened piece of Beltane Cake; Maypoles in Spain were each topped with a male effigy which was later burned. Contemporary Pagans burn sacred wood and dried herbs as offerings in their Beltane fires.

May Waters
Rolling in May Eve dew or washing face in pre-dawn May Day dew for health, luck, beauty. * Getting head and hair wet in Beltane rain to bless the head. * Blessing springs, ponds, other sacred waters with flowers, garlands, ribbons, other offerings. * Collecting sacred waters and scrying in sacred springs, wells, ponds, other waters.

Sacred Union & Fertility
Union with the Land focus, often with actual mating outside on the Land to bless fields, herds, home. * May Queen (May Bride) as personification of the Earth Goddess and Goddesses of Fertility. * May King (May Groom) as personification of Vegetation God, Jack-in-Green — often covered in green leaves. * At Circle Sanctuary, in addition to May Queen & May King, is May Spirit Couple, an already bonded pair. * Symbolic Union of Goddess and God in election/selection, crowning, processional, Maypole dance, feast. * Morris Dancers and pageants (with Hag & Jack-in-Green) to awaken the fertility in the Land.

Beltane is generally celebrated on either April 30 or May 1, which is sometimes why it’s referred to as May Eve instead of Beltane. May 1 is by far the most popular date for the holiday, and those who celebrate on April 30 generally do so because the Celts began their days at sunset, meaning “Beltane” daytime is on May 1. Some Witches celebrate Beltane using astrological timing, meaning on the exact date between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. Most years that date is on or around May 5. The best time to celebrate Beltane is when you have an opportunity to do so.

Alternate Names
Beltain, Bealtaine, Beltine, May Day, Cetsamhain (‘first Samhain’), Walpurgis Night (Beltane Eve), Celtic ‘Flower Festival’

Druidic Name – Beltane

Christian Equivalent
Roodmas, Rood Day, Feast of Saint Philip and Saint James, Feast of Saint Walpurga

Place in the Natural Cycle
Beltane is the cross-quarter festival that marks the start of the summer quarter of the year and the end of the spring quarter. This is a time when nature blossoms and felicity and fertility return to the land. In times past, the livestock stockaded at Samhain was returned to summer pastures at Beltane.

Further Details
Beltane is a joyful festival of growth and fecundity that heralds the arrival of summer. It is the festival of the ‘Good Fire’ or ‘Bel-fire’, named after the solar deity Bel. Bel was also known as Beli or Bile in Ireland, with Bile meaning ‘tree’, so Beltane may also mean ‘Tree-fire’. Beltane is the counterpart of Samhain (and is sometimes referred to as Cetsamhain, the ‘first Samhain’), and these two important festivals divide the year into summer and winter halves, just as the two equinoctial celebrations, Ostara and Mabon, divide the year into light and dark halves.

Lighting fires was customary at Beltane, and traditionally a Beltane fire was composed of the nine sacred woods of the Celts. All hearth fires were extinguished on Beltane Eve and then kindled again from the sacred “need fires” lit on Beltane. People would leap through the smoke and flames of Beltane fires and cattle were driven through them for purification, fertility, prosperity and protection.

Beltane Spell

May day is a good time to promote love and happiness in your life. To do so, use pastel-colored candles, as many as possible, and a large bowl of fresh water with flower petals floating in it. Adorn your ritual space with flowers and new leaves, and sing the following verse to the spirits of the holiday:

Queen of the May,
Jack-of-the-Green,
A more joyous time has never been.
Flowers bloom
and children sing,
Fairies bless each river and sacred spring.
All life is joyous
and we revel,
In being healthy, happy, and alive.
The Morris Dancers
Stomp the Earth,
Wakening Gaia with blissful mirth.
Petals abound
in vibrant hue,
Signaling all Earth’s life is born anew.
Blessings flow
all around,
Magic springs underfoot from the ground.
Love and passions
fill the air,
Celebration and revelry is everywhere.
On this day,
My true love come to me; Let us share our hearts in festivity.
Dancers prance
the Maypole round,
Laughter and music freely abound.
Joyousness and reverence mix together now,
Blessing virgin, bird, and cow.
Danu’s Fairy Folk now draw near,
Their laughter and magic is growing clear.
I share this day
with those I love,
Healing Sun streams from above.
Flowers crown
the Queen of the May,
So blessed be this sacred day.
So mote it be.

Llewellyn’s Spell A Day

A Witch Jar for Protection
Spell Date: Monday, April 30, 2018

It’s very easy to make a simple Witch jar if you’re feeling vulnerable or you’re worried that negative energy might come knocking on your door. You’ll need the following:

* A glass jar with a tight lid
* Rusty old nails
* Shards of broken glass
* Old razor blades or pins— anything sharp (handle with care)
* Some vinegar
* A black candle
* Red string or ribbon

Fill the jar with the sharp objects, and pour the vinegar onto them. If you aren’t squeamish and really want to be authentic, you can omit the vinegar and urinate in the jar! Place the lid on tightly. Light the black candle and let the wax drip around the seal, then tie it shut with the red ribbon. Bury the jar in front of the main doorway of your home, and it will trap negative energy before it enters the house.

International Dance Day
Spell Date: Sunday, April 29, 2018

Today is International Dance Day. Integral to every culture, dancing performs many functions in the social and sacred realms. For example, so many of us adore dancing under the full moon! Especially on a lunar power day like today, dancing can be employed to transform moods, situations, perspectives, and energy patterns.

So choose an energy pattern you’d like to shift or a condition you’d like to draw in. Light a red candle. Put on some music that makes your body want to move. Sit comfortably on the floor (or a chair, if necessary) and connect with your root chakra: the place where your body meets the earth. Breathe into this area until your body begins to merge with the music. Dance for at least ten minutes, knowing all the while that you are changing your frequency to match that which you’d like to draw in.

Abundance Spell
Spell Date: Saturday, April 28, 2018

The ancient Roman festival of Floralia used to run from today until May 3. It was a celebration of Flora, goddess of flowers, vegetation, and fertility. Having some association with May Day, Floralia is a day for fertile energy, whether you want to conceive a baby, make art, plant a garden, or sow success.

Go outside and stand with your feet wide apart. Envision the fertile energy of the awakening earth deep below. Inhale, drawing that energy up into your feet, then up your legs, through your sex organs, belly, spine, heart, and brain, and into your head. Now exhale, releasing the energy from the top of your head (crown chakra) and letting it cascade out and around you, returning to the ground. Do this several times, until you feel the results of the energy within you. Now take this energy and get to work in whatever area of your life will most benefit from the flowers of your fertile energy.

Flower Magic
Spell Date: Friday, April 27, 2018

Floralia, the ancient Roman festival dedicated to the goddess Flora, was traditionally held from late April to early May, to celebrate the beauty and usefulness of plants and nature’s eternal cycle of growth. What a perfect time to celebrate beauty!

To honor Flora, place a vase of freshly cut flowers on your altar (even better if they are spring flowers in bloom, like daffodils, hyacinths, or tulips). Get some annual flower seeds for summer flowers ( like marigolds, zinnias, calendulas, or cosmos) and plant them in a pot, visualizing bringing beauty and vitality into your life. Water them regularly, keep them in a sunny window, and when the seedlings get two inches high, carefully transplant them outside.

When the flowers bloom, you may choose to enjoy them where they are, or pick a few and enjoy them in a vase. Be sure to put a few on your altar to enhance your magical workings.

A Third-Eye Anointing for Visionary Slumber
Spell Date: Thursday, April 26, 2018

The term tilak or tilaka refers to the holy marks worn by swamis and other members of Hinduism and related Eastern paths. Many adherents wear these markings on the third eye (brow) following meditation, yoga, and worship in the home and temple. These markings vary depending on one’s sect and are often created by the use of vibhuti ash, kumkum, chandan (sandalwood) paste, and a variety of other powders. The modern bejeweled bindi sticker is related, being worn on the third eye (ajna chakra) of Indian brides—and often as everyday fashion!

To inspire visionary dreams, try a variation of tilak before sleep. After performing your own meditation and spiritual worship, anoint your third eye with any of the aforementioned substances or with a powdered herb such as turmeric, lavender, sage, saffron, or even powdered rice.

As you drift off to sleep, repeat this spell verbally and mentally:

Mystic spirits, sleeping mind, grant me vision unconfined.

Spring Garden Blessing
Spell Date: Wednesday, April 25, 2018

As the April sun begins to warm the earth, many of us can be found in our gardens planting seeds and weeding beds. This is a great time to bless your newly upturned plot of earth.

For this blessing we will be invoking Aine, a Celtic solar/lunar goddess and faerie queen. Aine was thought to have birthed the first sheaves of grain in Ireland, and agricultural rites are still practiced in her name.

For this blessing you will need a blue or green tealight candle, a flat stone, and a dish of water.

On a bright sunny morning, go into your garden and light your tealight on a flat stone. Dip your fingers into the water, and as you sprinkle the ground with it, say:

“Aine, lady of light,
Bless this garden, bless this soil.
Bless our hands as they toil.
Bless the land with rain and sun
And a bountiful harvest
when the season’s done.”

Leave the tealight to burn out.

Abounding Spring
Spell Date: Tuesday, April 24, 2018

Spring bounded in weeks ago, and by now, its presence can be felt everywhere. Spend some time today outside reveling in the spring air. You will need a feather and a stick of incense (something floral or “springy”) or a lavender smudge stick.

Light the incense or smudge stick and hold it in one hand. Take the feather in the other hand and use it to control and waft the smoke through the air. Dance around and have fun. Play some springy or lighthearted music. As you dance, feel the air all around you. Let it caress your skin. Feel it in your hair. Feel it fill your lungs with joy as you breathe deeply. Pause at times to close your eyes and let yourself feel everything around you. Give thanks for the refreshing, cleansing, renewing air.

Heartwings Love Notes 825 Rejoicing in the Spring

Heartwings says, “Spring is more than a season, it is a reason for rejoicing.”

Spring arrives in a dilatory fashion. Like fall, it is a back and forth season. In addition, some years spring arrives early, sneaking up on us and forcing us to get out our warm-weather clothes much sooner than we think we are going to need them. In another year like this one, we begin to feel weary of our winter wardrobe and yearn for the spring clothes still put away in closets or storage places. There is no telling when the weather will change. Spring is a fickle season, whether daily or yearly. I have written a lot of poetry about the way spring behaves.

These days as I drive along the roads between towns I enjoy watching the ends of the tree branches slowly green and redden, highlighting their tracery against the sky. There is a maple outside my bedroom that’s the first thing I see when as I open the curtains. Lately I have been watching the ends of the twigs turn green and then begin to unfold into maple flowers. I know these will in turn eventually fall and produce the seeds we call maple keys. Do children still peel the ends open and stick them on their noses as I remember doing?

Spring is an opportunity to get out and enjoy a walk. It is a treat to amble along the sidewalks of my town’s neighborhoods and see the flowers springing up in the gardens around town. Daffodils and jonquils, hyacinths and tulips abound with their lovely colors. The magnolia trees with their glorious pink and white flowers along with the dogwoods that come into bloom now make me feel almost giddy with their generous bouquets of blossoms. How happy the bees must be to put an end to their long winter nap and emerge into activity.

The blooming of the lovely spring trees and flowers is also apt to stir up allergies in those who are vulnerable to them. This makes the spring season a lot less pleasant for some. Stephen and I have been fortunate to have the help of homeopathic remedies that alleviate the discomfort and sometimes even eliminate it. Still, the loveliness of the season may be some consolation to allergy sufferers. I am so glad to see the arrival of spring. Early or late once it actually does get here all is forgiven, winter is forgotten, and we can rejoice in the glorious beauty of spring.

May you find time to admire the spring as it unfolds around you.

Blessings and Best regards, Tasha Halpert

Medium Rare Conclusion

Bessie watched open mouthed as Roundabout Holmes staggered toward Harry. To her horror she saw the spirit of Aunt Sophie intermingled with Roundabout’s upper torso, misting throughout his body in vapors of black smoke.
Roundabout babbled incoherently, switching languages, and murmuring names unfamiliar to Bessie. She couldn’t make out much of what he was saying. Aunt Sophie seemed to be pushing him to get closer to Harry. Roundabout stumbled as he walked, swaying.
“Spirit indigestion,” Rev. Sycamore warned. “It is common in summer towns by the ocean. The presence of ghosts prevails.”
Harry looked at Bessie. He quirked an eyebrow. “You ask me I’d say he was crocked to the gills.”
Becky looked around quickly. “Shh,” she said hoping no one had heard him. But everyone was watching the proceedings. They looked as though they wanted to leap from their seats and were at the same time glued there in fascination.
Then she sighed and nodded. “That might have had something to do with it,” she said. “He sure looks smashed to me.”
“Hope his liver holds out,” Harry said. “Dangerous to drink like that.”
“My Aunt Sophie’s husband was a drinker,” Bessie said. “Probably why she’s able to come through that way. She’d be used to it.”
Roundabout babbled something in English; then his words switched to Middle English and then to Ancient Latin.
“I heard him do that before,” an older patron said. He brings through Caesar brilliantly.”
“Julius or Octavius,” the woman beside him said.
Reverend Sycamore waved a large silver cross over Roundabout’s head, ” “Release him,” she intoned. Return his energies to his own safekeeping.” Her voice was deep and commanding. However it seemed to have no effect. As Aunt Sophie tugged at him Roundabout was spinning in place.
Reverend Sycamore picked up a large Bible from the altar, opened it and began reading a psalm aloud.
While the prayer didn’t seem to affect Roundabout and Sophie, it quieted the people in the room.
“Your Aunt Sophie’s not a happy camper, Harry whispered in Bessie’s ear.
“Never was,” Bessie whispered back. “She was always finding fault and then throwing snit fits when she didn’t get her way. ”
“Maybe that’s why he drank,” Harry snickered.
“Personally, Harry I don’t see how her waving a cross at Aunt Sophie would do much good. Don’t forget Aunt Sophie’s Jewish.
“That shouldn’t make that much of a difference. I don’t think hard fast rules apply in the hereafter.
Reverend Sycamore set down the cross and the Bible, took some incense and lit it. She waved it at Roundabout. “Be gone!” she said loudly. “Be gone from this place and return whence you came,” she repeated.
As she spoke, the vapors of black smoke thinned and faded from around him. However, his body began to float upward.
The people in the room looked at one another in disbelief. Bessie however could see that Aunt Sophie was somehow lifting him into the air; she was trying to tug him closer to Harry. Although her energy was dissipating, she still seemed able to cling to him. Some people, looking a bit disturbed, rose from their seats and started for the door.
Reverend Sycamore beckoned to the large blond woman and her companion who has been sitting beside Bessie. “Helene and Bronson,” she began, “reach for him and keep him here. I wouldn’t want him to float away.”
Together they clung to Roundabout, keeping him between them.
Reverend Sycamore cleared her throat. “Please take your seats,” she said. “What you have experienced here tonight is a rare effect of mediumship familiar to earlier times.”
Together Reverend Sycamore, Helene and Bronson tugged Reverend Holmes down and between them hustled him from the chapel. As he left there was a horrendous shriek.
“That’s Sophie,” Bessie said. “I’ll never forget how she’d screech at us like that when we were in high school, wagging her finger and saying horrible things that scared us all to death.”
The standees took their seats and began speaking to one another in an animated way. Some of them kept looking at Harry and Bessie as if they wanted to say something but didn’t quite dare.
“No reason for her to have any issues with me,” Harry said loudly. “I always knew to be polite.”
“But you married me,” Bessie said. “I left home and that changed everything. They wanted me to marry someone from Providence and you came from Pawtucket.”
“Shouldn’t have made any difference.”
Bessie shook her head. “But it did to Sophie. Something happened in the family she couldn’t control and it blew her mind.”
“And she took it to the grave,” Harry shook his head. He frowned and looked at his watch.
Reverend Sycamore came back in with Helene and Bronson. Roundabout was not with them. “I do wish to announce,” she said, “that for tonight we will have a message service to be conducted by Ms. Crump and Ms. Tallyman. Both mediums have been certified by the royal institute in London and I am sure they will have messages for all of you.”
“I think I’ve seen and heard enough for one night,” Harry said. “Let’s get something to eat. I’m famished.”
Bessie looked at her watch. “But we practically just ate. Maybe the energy got to you.”
“Let’s go before things start up again,” Harry said firmly. He rose from his chair and headed for the door. Reluctantly Bessie followed him out. “Let’s take a walk by the beach,” he said. “It’s a lovely night. Look at that moon!”
“Harry,” Bessie began, “What did you think about all the goings on?”
“Fascinating,” Harry said. “At least I know when I cross over that I’m not going all that far away. I used to think heaven was on the other side of the moon. But now it’s more like being in the next room.”
Bessie smiled. “And I’ll bet if you could you’d try to figure out a way to sell them all mattresses and bedroom sets there too.”
Harry nodded and put his arm around Bessie. Let’s walk down to the diner. I’d like to take my chances with a slice of blueberry pie.”

Clearing Your Mind
By Madisyn Taylor

The more we practice settling our minds, the easier it will become over time.
After a full day out in the world, stories, words, images, and songs from any number of sources continue to play in our heads hours after we encounter them. Even as we lie in bed, in the quiet dark, our minds continue noisily processing all the input from our day. This can leave us feeling unsettled and harassed. It also makes it difficult to take in any new information or inspiration. Like a cluttered house that needs to be cleared if it is to have room for movement and new life, our minds need clearing if they are to be open to new information, ideas, and inspiration.

Too often, the activities we choose to help us relax only add to the clutter. Watching television, seeing a movie, reading a book, or talking to a friend all involve taking in more information. In order to really clear our minds, we need a break from mental stimulation. Activities like yoga, dancing, or taking a long walk help to draw our attention to our bodies, slowing our mental activity enough that our minds begin to settle. Deep breathing is an even simpler way to draw attention away from our mental activities. Once we are mentally relaxed, we can begin the process of clearing our minds. Most of us instinctively know what allows our minds to relax and release any unnecessary clutter. It may be meditation or time spent staring at the stars. Whatever it is, these exercises feel like a cool, cleansing bath for the brain and leave our minds feeling clear and open.

Setting aside time to clear our minds once a day creates a ritual that becomes second nature over time. Our minds will begin to settle with less effort the more we practice. Ultimately, the practice of clearing our minds allows us to be increasingly more open so that we can perceive the world as the fresh offering it is, free of yesterday’s mental clutter.

Weekly Horoscopes beginning: Sunday, 29 April 2018

If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Aries
Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Certain obstacles are infuriating, but they`re also forcing you to pause and analyse issues in greater depth than you intended. That means delving into their origin, seeking the advice of others and, possibly, checking out relevant rules, regulations or even laws, all of which you`ve hoped you could ignore. What you learn will clear up confusion and, bizarrely, lead to unexpectedly swift, if surprising, solutions.
Confused arrangements could put a relative in a difficult position. Why leave them to sort out their muddles when you know you can help? If you step in, as well as saving them a lot of time, you can work together to find a solution that will be to the benefit of all concerned. Although it won`t all be plain sailing later, getting a joint creative project up and running is worth a try. Your ideas are more progressive than a partner`s and sinking your teeth into this project will be stimulating.

By the end of this week, Mercury will have returned to the position it held in your sign prior to turning retrograde. The pirouette or loop the planet created since March 23 is then complete. In the intervening period you`ve no doubt wrestled with various challenges and are now contending with the presence of Chiron in your sign. Your problem-solving abilities should now be surfacing. True, this could put you at loggerheads with those born under the mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces who might still be considering options. You`re likely tired of all of this and simply want agreement. Financial considerations will surely make that easier to achieve. It should be clear by next Friday, that if others are to see you at your best, they must also give you freedom to do things your way. The reasoned argument you present this week should ensure that you will be given those reins but with that comes responsibility.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Taurus
Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Those around you are grumpy, if not seriously worried, and even your Taurean charm isn`t cheering them up. While this is partly due to the tense mood triggered by Monday`s Full Moon, it`s worth discussing their concerns frankly. This isn`t about the issues in question or their influence on you. Rather, you`ll want to know what`s happening and, where appropriate, be involved in discussions and decision-making.
Taking on some of a friend`s responsibilities while they recover from an illness could result in conflict within the family. You want to do your best for everyone but you`re starting to feel overwhelmed with all you have to do. If it is all getting too much for you, admit it. Pushing yourself too hard is compromising your own health. Someone who has been trying to get in touch with you will welcome a phone call or e-mail. They have some good news to share.

Monday`s Full Moon is in your opposite sign and yes, it might seem that others are being excessively emotional and, at times secretive. In particular, you may be concerned about costs they`ve run up. Of course, it`s always possible that you too will be faced with a financial dilemma. Yet you do have the skills to juggle and perhaps a review of your management is overdue. Note too, that Chiron`s arrival in neighbouring Chiron will have changed the rules for many. It may be that renegotiation is both possible and desirable. The fact that a line of credit or goodwill is stretched as far as it can go ought not to be seen as a negative but an opportunity for a rethink. In this respect, and before the Last Quarter Moon on May 8, you could turn a situation around: though true, it may be necessary to at least consider cutting losses.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Gemini
Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

There`s a fine line between listening to others discuss the dramas they`re currently facing and getting involved. Respond; but note that because the individuals in question aren`t fully aware of the facts themselves, discussions can only go so far. Besides, there are several personal matters of your own that need attention. Take action. The longer you put off dealing with them, the more complicated it will be.
A phase of financial uncertainty is coming to an end. Some money is coming your way, and this will make life less stressful. If you`re looking for work, you could get an unexpected job offer. You made a good impression at an interview some time ago and a prospective employer meant it when they said they would keep your number. Take any chance to get closer to someone who means a lot to you. Forget your inhibitions and let your true feelings show.

Venus is moving through your sign, but it`s unlikely you have all the support you need. In fact, you could be seriously challenged at the start of May by someone, perhaps a Capricorn, who no longer wishes to operate as they`ve done in the past. Bear in mind, that Chiron has only recently arrived in Aries and that mid-May, Uranus moves into Taurus. The movements of these slower moving bodies from one sign to another will likely bring a sea change and this period could be exceptionally choppy. Demands made on your time may be considerable. As you are ruled by the planet Mercury, which is only now returning to the position it held before its recent retrograde period, it could be that your nerves are already overstretched. Giving health matters priority should be deemed wise. Whilst all this might appear to present a negative picture, it`s as likely that changed cosmic vibrations will bring extraordinary opportunity before your birthday.

Cancer
Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Recently you dealt with unreasonable clashes and faced rebuffs from those who you thought were on your side. Initially this was upsetting; but, as a result, you`ve reviewed the actual situations in question, realised some changes were in order and have already made several, some challenging. Don`t stop now. However, be aware what`s next will lead to ideas or offers as surprising as they are timely.
You have some great ideas and other people want to hear them. Take advantage of current trends to get new projects off the ground. Join forces with a talented friend and you can build a productive team. It will be a pleasure working with someone who shares your dreams. A neighbour`s unpredictable behaviour will wreak havoc in your social life when their moody outbursts could ruin a surprise party. This experience could lead you to reconsidering this friendship.

One of your many talents is to husband resources and nurture projects.. All this is likely even more obvious since Chiron arrived in Aries mid-April. If there is an issue now, it`s that rather too many problems have been brought to your door. Tension in even the closest of working partnerships is probable. The art may be to ensure that your leisure time is not compromised. It`s vital for your well-being that you have time to withdraw and recharge. It might seem that many of the things you used to enjoy no longer give that added pleasure or boost. Jupiter though is retrograde in the creative zone of your solar chart until mid-July. It could take until then for you to work out how best to soothe your soul; and yes, this is crucially important with regard to your career. Regardless of the actual date of your birthday there is a solar eclipse in your sign in July. This doesn`t happen every year and usually signals a year of extraordinary development. This week then, even if all you discover is what you don`t want, you could take steps toward improving work-life balance.

Leo
Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Thus far, you`ve avoided pointless alterations in elements of your life. Despite your determination to sidestep these, the world around you is in transition. Instead of battling changes, get involved. That way, you`ll shape developments as they arise. If you`re still convinced it`s all unfair or impractical, recall times in the past when you battled similarly inevitable changes, only to discover they were for the best.
A friend or partner will hint that they feel you always want your own way. This will surprise you when all you`re trying to do is to persuade people that your ideas are worth following. You have a strong personality and someone`s finding it hard to stand up to you. Why not invite them to take the driver`s seat for a change? A friend wants to confide their thoughts, hopes and dreams. Be a good listener. This will strengthen your close bonds.

2018 is curious in that both Venus and Mars have retrograde periods. This is likely indicative of fun and games both at the romantic and business partnership level. You may already be aware of shifting goals and focus. With Monday`s Full Moon accenting the base of your solar chart, it could be that you feel others are not giving sufficient attention to the environment you need in order to pursue career goals. These issues can no doubt be resolved, – but will presumably require full and frank discussion before the Last Quarter Moon in your opposite sign on May 8th. Distraction is likely to come via an expert who offers a variety of solutions to a property management issue. Positive as this may be, you might need to make it clear that you`re not yet in a position to arrive at a final decision.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Virgo
Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Discovering you`d made errors or unwise decisions is never fun; but however thorough you are, between recent confusion and the chaos triggered by the coming weeks` powerful planetary shifts, everybody will be short of facts, including you. Knowing that, do something out of character. Take chances, trust your intuition; and venture into unfamiliar territory. What you discover, learn or who you meet could be life-changing.
A legal matter makes you uncertain about the future. If there is something you have to prove, you should gather your facts and figures with the utmost care. To make an agreement that will stand up under any legal eventuality, get it all down in black and white. A tense situation is starting to ease and will soon be over providing you don`t rise to the bait of provocative remarks. Even if someone says something to deliberately upset you, it`s best to sit back and say nothing.

You won`t be the only sign to feel that you`re pulling away from others at least through until Thursday. Fact is that tense aspects between Venus and Mars accentuates the differences between people. In your case, both work and domestic issues could give rise to at the very least lively debate before arriving at consensus and the presenting a united front. Property matters could feature. Whether you belong in one neighbourhood or another, or that work-related travel arrangements have to be reviewed, fact is that there will be surely much for you to consider. Please note that we are in a curious period now between Chiron`s recent arrival in Aries and Uranus` arrival in Taurus on May 15. Think of this is moving into a slipstream. Knowing where the lifeboats are is surely important. Note too, that by mid-May you may be considering a wholly new approach so that what matters presently is acquiring information and networking.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Libra
Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Having faced and, mostly, dealt with the recent series of exceptionally tricky situations and individuals, you`re not only ready for a break, you feel you`ve earnt it. While that`s true, you`ll also want to at least turn your attention to practical, business or financial matters. There are changes brewing, some unsettling and others potentially profitable. The more you learn about these now, the better.
Plans you had been looking forward to will be postponed much to your annoyance. An older relative is making things awkward for you and you might rebel against their intimidating tactics. They will be surprised and non-plussed when you stand up for yourself. You`re tired of people thinking they can make your mind up for you and you won`t put up with it any longer. A communication problem could short circuit domestic interests. Family life will improve, later on.

Between Monday`s Full Moon and the return of Mercury to the position it held in your opposite sign prior to turning retrograde, you could find relationships strained. The art may be not to panic about this to accept that however much you seek harmony, there is a natural ebb and flow between any two people. The fact that your ruling planet Venus, makes key aspects with Mars presently moving across the base of your solar chart, is indicative of tension. It may be that there are some who feel you`ve taken on too much. Yet another review of your work-life balance might need to be made. As important may be to give attention to a presentation. Whether this is your signature, preparation of a business card or brochure, doing this ahead of the Last Quarter Moon in another of the Air signs on May 8th, could prove extremely useful given the high probability of your work being high profile by the end of that month.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

While you`re amazing at dealing with all sorts of challenges, your range of emotional ups and downs is just as dramatic; and currently, you`re contending with both. Monday`s Scorpio Full Moon is heightening your feelings, yet you`re also juggling pivotal decisions, for you and, perhaps, others. Urgent as things seem, there are more changes yet to come. Knowing that, regard so-called final decisions as more of an experiment.
News you had been dreading will be better than anticipated and will come as a tremendous relief. Instead of obsessing over fears for the future, you can start making plans with renewed courage and optimism. It`s empowering to know that despite your doubts, a decision you recently made was the right one. Eating a more healthy, nutritious diet and getting regular exercise will benefit your health. Stay away from sugar, fat and alcohol and reduce your salt intake.

You may remember that Jupiter is presently moving through your sign. Though this is often seen as being a beneficial vibration, it should be noted that as Jupiter is retrograde presently, that you may yet feel swamped by tasks and, at some level, fear lack of support. A high probability is that those born under the Air signs of Gemini, Libra or Aquarius throwing so many ideas and thoughts that that emotionally you are destabilised. Note that the Full Moon on April 30 is in your sign. Until that is in the past and you`ve had time to recover, feeling on top of things is unlikely. Hold the thought that as Mercury returns to the position it held prior to turning retrograde at the end of this week, that the road ahead will be smoother. The art in the meantime, may be to ensure that you are not put under unnecessary strain and that your nervous system is given all the support it needs.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Sagittarius
Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

No sign is better at turning tricky periods, such as this is, to their advantage. Yet even you could struggle with the vulnerable feelings triggered by Monday`s Full Moon. Bizarrely, the doubts these raises are worth exploring. What you learn will, first, help you spot issues before they blossom into serious problems; but, also, when sudden, and potentially profitable, changes arise, you`ll spot them immediately.
You`re in two minds about some joint plans and arrangements. This makes you hesitant about accepting a social invitation. People are waiting for an answer from you, but with reluctance, you might let your partner or best friend have the final say. The enjoyment you get out of this occasion will make you glad that you did. Acting on a sudden inspiration will benefit a family weekend project especially if there is a travel angle that`s agreeable to all.

Now that Venus is moving through your opposite sign, it might seem that all attention is on others – and not so much on your needs. Yet it`s probable that others can`t do their work without your support and expertise. You may remember that Mercury turned retrograde back in March. It returns to that earlier position at the beginning of May. Until next Friday, it might seem that you`re mopping up after others- particularly where work is involved. Great care will need to be taken that you don`t put yourself under physical pressure. You could however, lean on those younger who`re clearly eager to learn. In fact, by practising the fine art of delegating, you could both ensure that an event runs smoothly and take considerable credit for that being the case.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Capricorn
Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

During April, you`ve made a series of pivotal decisions. While having some dealt with is a relief, others were so challenging you`re still unsure about your choices. While you`re finally recognising that your instincts were wise, it`s also becoming clear things remain in transition. Actually, that`s a relief, because it means you can still rethink things and, better yet, you`ve far more options to explore.
Shopping for furniture and household appliances will yield good results. Items you buy will last a lifetime. Restoring a shabby chair or table to its former beauty can be therapeutic. You might enjoy this project so much that it becomes a hobby. Someone close will want to discuss long-term arrangements. Once an outline for the future is in place you will put effort into ensuring these plans go without a hitch. Friends are grateful for your hands-on support.

It might help to be reminded that Mercury is only now returning to the position it held before it made its retrograde loop. It`s entirely possible that people are going back to an earlier position. Exasperating as this may be, and true, you might need to make it clear that shifting positions are costly at every level, you might agree that diversions have in fact been helpful in identifying priorities. What you learn before next weekend should make clear that a design requires adjustment. It might also help to join forces with someone born under one of the Mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces. They may be able to see better ways of getting a message across. What all this should prove too, is that your network is excellent and that you are an asset to a team.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Aquarius
Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

Sociable as you can be, lately life`s been more about supporting everybody from family and friends to colleagues, and in all sorts of settings. While, gradually, this became both annoying and, ultimately, overwhelming, you`ve learnt a lot. Enough you`re now rethinking seemingly stable elements of your own life. This is timely, since your ruler Uranus` move into a new position, in mid-May, will turn these into reality.
Make time for your favourite hobbies and activities. Exercise your creative skills whenever you can. Writing, reading and making handicrafts will be emotionally fulfilling. Let your imagination run wild. Community and outside activities may look exciting but the events themselves will be disappointing. Cooperation comes and goes. Keep your distance from someone who has been toying with your affections. The best way to stop their little games is to completely ignore them.

Before next weekend Mercury returns to the position it held before its recent retrograde loop. Many people may have reason to return to positions held back in March too. This will surely give rise to tension in many relationships. Exasperation may be felt with someone (most likely born under Gemini) who you feel is going back on their word. For their part, they may think that you are taking a new position. Either way, considerable understanding will be necessary before the two of you can move forward. Travel arrangements are a feature of the second half of the week. Here too you may be under pressure to agree a plan in order to take advantage of a discount but feel pressured to do so before you`re quite ready. Career-wise however, something you`ve been working on in your research and development department will likely gather momentum. True, you might need a few weeks yet before you can make an announcement. There`s high probability however, that you`re at last cracking a code.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Pisces
Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Being compassionate is a virtue but, often, you put the needs of others first, especially recently. Saying `no` isn`t easy but if ever there was a time to draw the line, it`s now. This is partly because certain individuals must shoulder responsibility for their decisions and actions; but, even more, potentially profitable changes are in the air, and these really must be your priority.
If it feels as if you`re in a rut, push yourself to try new things. Explore new possibilities and you will thrive. Acquiring new skills will be good for your career. This should be a long-term project as it will take time to learn and gain worthwhile qualifications. A joint arrangement will be concluded to everyone`s satisfaction. This will give you the chance you`ve been waiting for to join a volunteer organisation. You want to do your bit for people who are in need of help.

As Mercury returns to the position it held back in March (before its retrograde loop), it might seem that you too are running around in circles. Others may demand that you maintain a timeline that is simply unrealistic. A further possibility is that goalposts are moved. One way or another it might not be so easy to experience satisfaction. Yet it`s all far from gloom and doom. Your private research, – and information gleaned through a network whose expertise is perhaps not always acknowledged, – could lead you to draw conclusions that are helpful to someone stuck with a problem perhaps health-related where thinking out of the box has many benefits. Midst all this, you may have reason to be grateful to a neighbour whose support – either with transport or clearing space is both timely and invaluable.
