In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. BIDDY TAROT CARD OF THE WEEK
Biddy Tarot <brigit@biddytarot.com>

The card drawn for this week is the Three of Pentacles.

We each have an important role to play, and when we can come together as a team, we can create something much more significant than if we were to undertake a project on our own.

If you’re going at it alone, take this as a sign to collaborate with others, creating synergies to achieve big results. There is such value in different ideas and levels of experience in collaboration.

Ask the Tarot: How can I collaborate with others to achieve my goals?

June 1, 2020, to June 7, 2020.

This week will start out with over-romanticizing the past, especially in our relationships. Then an eclipse during the Full Moon in Sagittarius on June 5th. Handle this Moon with care and caution. A Sag Moon in a Gemini Sun and an eclipse is not a good day to hold a celebration, commencement, or ceremony. Postpone signing life-changing documents until next week. Saturday the Sun is square Mars. Energy is high and ripe for arguments and overreacting. Whatever disappointments Friday brought, could come to blows on Saturday. Try to let that stuff go before regrettable things are said or done.

June is a month that is going to give us a rough ride astrologically, giving us the opportunity to evolve from a state of emergency into a state of emergence. We do that by anchoring into our core self and letting the rest go.

This is the time to return to your basics and the Blessed Herbal candles fit the bill.

Your go-to candles that will help you ride the rough currents of June are; Stability, Truth & Justice, Heart, and Problem Solving. These 4 BHC’s will help you stay in the truth and in your heart and not be swayed to take rash action.

The best candles for this week are Blessed Herbal Heart, Happy Home, and Emotional Balance.

Be victorious in 2020 with the help of Coventry Creations candles, sprays, oils, and water. Visit our website and social media for more information, instructions, and inspiration.

Llewellyn’s Spell A Day

A Flowery Ritual
May 31, 2020 by Barbara Ardinger

The language of flowers reached its greatest popularity during the reign of Queen Victoria (1837– 1901), when social conventions prevented polite people from saying what they really meant. So they used flowers, among other things, to speak for them. Every flower has a meaning. Learn the language of flowers, herbs, and spices.

Here are some examples:
* Dandelion means “oracle.”
* Ivy means “fidelity.”
* Jasmine means “grace and elegance.”
* Iris means “message.”
* Nasturtium means “patriotism.”
* Parsley means “useful knowledge.”
* Cinnamon means “my fortune is yours.”

Gather for a brief ritual in which you and your circle mates give each other flowers whose meanings express your feelings for one another. Announce the meaning of each flower, then invoke Flora (the Roman goddess of flowers) and exchange your flowers:

These flowers, sweet tokens
of friendship we share,
Our circle, the ritual
space in our care—
We’re sisters and brothers,
all circling today,
We’re friends here working
or in sacred play.
So mote it be!

To Incubate a Dream
May 30, 2020 by Charlie Rainbow Wolf

This is a simple spell, but one that is very profound. If you want to connect with someone who’s no longer in your life, if you need to manifest something, if you hunger to see a plan come to life, here’s what to do. You’ll need a photo or picture that represents what you want to achieve, a pen, a piece of paper, and an envelope.

Gaze at the image that represents what you hope will happen. Write down your thoughts about this. Keep it simple; just brainstorm your ideas in a few words. Put the image and your writing in the envelope and seal it shut. Place this under your pillow for at least a month, and know that as you sleep, your desire is going out into the cosmos to give you the ideas to make your request come to pass and the energy to breathe life into it.

A Safe Travels Charm
May 29, 2020 by James Kambos

In late May, the travel and vacation season begins. This little charm will protect you, your family, and your car this summer. You’ll need a square piece of white cloth, garden twine, some crumbled dried mugwort, and salt.

Sprinkle the mugwort and salt in the center of the cloth and tie up the corners with the twine. Sit in your car before traveling while holding the charm and say:

Protect me as I travel near or travel far,
Protect all who travel in this car.

Place the magical bundle in your glove compartment or under a floor mat. If you use it during a long trip, throw it away when you return, as it may have absorbed negative energy. Then make a new one using the same steps.

To Your Health!
May 28, 2020 by Susan Pesznecker

Are you a little under the weather? Not feeling like your usual vigorous self ? Experiencing some sort of malady? A healing spell will be just the thing.

You’ll need a small blue candle in a protective/safe holder (a small Mason jar is ideal) and a small piece of clear quartz crystal.

Light the candle and meditate for a moment on how you currently feel and the changes you are looking for. Take the crystal in your dominant hand and hold it over your heart. Repeat:

Powers of the universe,* I beseech,
Your healing aid I earnestly seek.
May your energies be with me today,
Healing and guiding me on my way.
As this warming candle burns,
May my well-being soon return.

Place the quartz in the candle’s wax pool. Allow the candle to burn down safely, extinguishing itself.

* If desired, substitute the name of a favorite deity or guardian for “the universe.”

Spell for Justice
May 27, 2020 by Cerridwen Iris Shea

On this day in 1679, the Parliament of England passed the Habeas Corpus Act, which strengthened a person’s right to challenge unlawful arrest and imprisonment.

There is always an injustice going on in the world, locally and globally. Research a justice issue that matters to you, and figure out how you can make a difference, whether by doing volunteer work, writing a letter, attending a protest, or changing the way you shop.

Take a black stone and dedicate it to Themis, one of the justice goddesses. Pledge to work for justice on this particular issue until it is resolved, and ask for Themis’s blessing and guidance.

Leave the stone on your altar as a reminder, and get to work! Once the issue is resolved, give thanks to Themis and bury the stone in the earth.

Flower Petal Altar Renewal Spell
May 26, 2020 by Ari Mankey

Spring is a great time to clean up our magickal spaces, and few magickal spaces are more important than our altars. For this spell, you’ll need either a bouquet of spring flowers or some flowers picked from your yard or a local park.

Pluck off the petals and let them fall from your hands. Imagine their various energies renewing your altar and your practice. Visualize each color of flower petal with a different property (for example, yellow for creativity, red for passion, blue for emotion, green for stability, orange for health, white for cleanliness, etc.), and let those energies wash over your altar and tools. I also visualize the dropping petals as being symbolic of spring rain and imagine them washing away any negativity or neglect from my altar.

After sprinkling your petals on the altar, leave them there until they have dried out and store for future magickal operations.

To Assist the Spirits of Forgotten Warriors
May 25, 2020 by Devin Hunter

Today in the US, we honor those who have fallen while serving our country as members of the armed forces. In many cultures, it is believed that we can assist those who have moved on by making offerings that can help their afterlives be a bit more comfortable. While we honor our fallen warriors today, it is important to remember that some of them have no one to remember them, and others have no name at all.

Place five bowls of water and five pieces of bread out as an offering today for the forgotten warriors so they, too, can have a more comfortable afterlife. While you do this, say:

Spirits of forgotten warriors, hear
my voice and know that you are
remembered. Eat of this bread,
drink of this water. May you never
hunger, may you never thirst!

Leave the offering out until tomorrow morning, then dispose of it.

What is a Strawberry Moon?

According to Time and Date, June’s full moon got its name as it’s the month when wild strawberries begin to ripen. It marks the beginning of the summer months and is also known as the Hot Moon.

“Around every 20 years, the Strawberry Moon coincides with the summer solstice, which is either on June 20, 21, or 22,” says the team at Time and Date. This year, summer solstice falls on Sunday 21st June (which you can also livestream from Stonehenge).

When is the next Full Moon?

The next Full Moon will be July’s ‘Hay Moon’, or ‘Buck Moon’, again on the fifth of the month.

Saddle Up, June is Crammed with Cosmic Activity

June is crammed with cosmic activity, which the sign of Gemini might appreciate considering its normal frenetic energy. This month’s highlights are two potent eclipse’s and Mercury goes retrograde in watery cancer.

Until the 21st, the sun is in Gemini, the sign of the twins, and, psychologically speaking, twins represent duality and can indicate that two sides of the personality are at odds with one another. Consider that during the June Gemini season we are facing “our dark side” and bringing both the ‘shadow and light’ sides of our personality together to help us live well-rounded and authentic lives.

The first eclipse is a Full Moon eclipse that occurs in Sagittarius and reflects our need to look at the big picture, and how we are going to maneuver through a “new normal” that is both uncertain and unknown. At times, we may experience some feelings of confusion, self-doubt, and disorientation because the eclipse squares Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces. So, expect a learning curve with new regulations and new rules.

Candles for the Sagittarian Lunar Eclipse are Blessed Herbal Truth and Justice, Inner Balance, and Hoo Doo Van Van.

On June 18th, Mercury will go retrograde in watery Cancer. It’s influence will manifest in your feeling center. Instead of relying on facts and logical thinking, your instincts will prove to be more reliable. Which doesn’t really make communication any clearer. While Mercury is in this sign, past family issues can come up to be revisited with an opportunity to do it constructively. Plus the usual Mrx warnings. Don’t forget to backup electronics and make final travel plans before the 18th. Absolutely avoid making firm decisions or sign documents during the retrograde cycle. You can expect problems with automobiles, electronic devices, and plans to fall apart without notice, so stay prepared.

Candles for Mercury Rx are Mercury Retrograde Neutralizer, Needed Changes, Emotional Balance, and Van Van.

The Sun shifts into Cancer season on June 20th and on the 21st, we have our second eclipse. A Solar Eclipse in the sign of Cancer will put an emphasis on what we do to feel safe and secure. Issues related to food, housing, and finances will be highlighted. Also, Pluto is going to influence this eclipse strongly and our “perception” of life will be about survival. We’ll feel compelled to kick to the curb non-essential items and behaviors that negatively impact survival. The effects of this eclipse will last over 6 months and we will all have to adjust to a new world and new way of living. (Cancer is about birthing).

Candles for the Cancer Solar Eclipse are Stability/Self-Esteem, Needed Changes, Emotional Balance, and Prosperity.

Week by Week AstroMagic

June 1, 2020 – June 7, 2020 This week’s major theme is relationships and features a prominent Venus in retrograde. At the beginning of the week tensions in relationships will surface with Venus squaring Mars, especially if we take a very self-focused ‘my way or the highway’ approach to matters. Arguments are highly likely if your relationship is already on shaky ground. You may need to review past hurts and disappointments to see whether current problems are actually unresolved issues from the past. The Sun conjoining Venus retrograde will help illuminate the problems if you are willing to look deep enough to find them. Regardless, proceed with caution through the middle of the week.

The weekend features the Full Moon in Sagittarius, which is a lunar eclipse. Ordinarily, we would use this energy to wrap up loose ends and bring situations to completion, and some of this may be necessary. However, under a lunar eclipse, it is best to avoid making permanent decisions. This would be a valuable time to look at the big picture and re-analyzing goals and tweak them where necessary.

Candle Suggestions for this week are, BHC Needed Changes, HD Adam and Eve, Uncrossing, and WWM Everything and then Some.

Heartwings Love Notes 933 How Much is Enough?

Heartwings says, “Do you know how much you need? Does that conflict with how much you want?”

Not long ago people were treating toilet paper as if it were about to vanish from the earth. One person even spotted a woman loading her SUV with an entire tray of rolls from a store. Other items vanished from shelves as people reacted out of fear of lack. How much I need is one amount. That need springs from a logical, rational approach to having. How much I want may stem from a fear of loss or a desire to own more than I already have, plain greed, or envy driven by a competitive nature.

Need and want are such different conditions. Operating from an awareness of need is different than operating from a feeling of want. I once read a story told by someone waiting in an airport who overheard a mother and daughter saying goodbye. As they embraced, she overheard one say to the other, “I wish you enough.” The other replied with the same words. At first to me, that seemed a curious thing to say as a farewell. As I reflected, I realized that to have enough is actually an absolutely perfect condition in which to be.

When I have enough, I have the space to put it. When I have more than enough, whether food needing refrigeration or clothing to find room for in our shared closet, I have to become creative about fitting whatever it is in. I may end up shoving things to the back of the refrigerator and losing sight of them, or into the back of the closet and doing the same. Then what I have lost sight of may become either moldy or essentially useless. It is said that much food goes to waste in this country, and no doubt leftovers may be a large part of that food.

Raised in a New England family by a thrifty German mother, I try to be very mindful not only about using up my leftovers but also not accumulating too much clothing.. My beloved, however, was raised by a mother who enjoyed abundance and showered it on her family. Sometimes we experience minor conflict around our divergent opinions. As the days go by, my refrigerator goes from full to empty and back again. Our closet, too has its moments. What matters to me is that we work out what constitutes enough for each of us, and that we make peace with our different points of view.

May you discover what is enough and be content without wanting more.

Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert

Protection o Security o Stress Relief o Mohs Scale 7- 7.5

As one of the best crystals for protection, Black Tourmaline has your back. It absorbs negative energy and prevents unwanted energy from getting in your way.

Not just for guarding your spirit, Black Tourmaline also keeps the energy of your home free of bad vibes. Place it in any room, or on the outside of your front door, to protect your space from negativity or in your pocket for the ultimate energetic protection.

The Black Tourmaline crystal is also one of the most powerful minerals for absorbing electromagnetic radiation, which makes it excellent for placing near computers and other electronics.

Black Tourmaline works like a sponge, soaking up all the negative energy that surrounds it. That’s why it’s important to cleanse your stones on a daily basis in order to access its full healing potential. Start by smudging the stone with sage and then take its energy to another level by placing it in a glass bowl filled with spring water and adding a few drops of Crab Apple Bach remedy. Let the stone sit for 24 hours in a process that helps cleanse and clear the Black Tourmaline so that it can get back to work for you and your intention.

Go deep with the Black Tourmaline crystal when you incorporate its powerful and protective energy into your meditation practice. First, quiet the mind with a few deep breathes, inhaling peace and stability and exhaling chaos and confusion. Once you’ve achieved a state of peaceful contemplation, set an intention for your stone and let it work for you whenever you call on it for support. Every time you feel a need for an all-over spiritual cleanse, look to the Black Tourmaline in your life as a reminder of the true desires of your heart.

Keep Black Tourmaline close by and shower the spirit with its pure and radiant vibes.

Black Tourmaline stimulates the reflex points associated with the lower back, legs, ankles, and feet, and may be used to realign the spinal column. It provides pain relief and assists with strained or torn muscles, numbness, arthritis, and scar tissue.

Black Tourmaline defends against debilitating disease and strengthens the immune system, heart, and adrenal glands. It also is beneficial in treating the bowels, constipation, IBS, and diseases of the colon, as well as ridding the body of heavy metal toxins and environmental pollutants.
Tourmaline is a marvelous tool for balancing the right/left hemispheres of the brain and bringing mental processes into alignment with the chakras and auric body. It diminishes fear and may be useful in treating paranoia, and to overcome dyslexia by improving eye/hand coordination and the assimilation and translation of coded information.
Black Tourmaline is a stone of purification, cleansing the emotional body of negative thoughts, anxieties, anger, or feelings of unworthiness. It helps in overcoming substance abuse and releases any suicidal thoughts or self-harming tendencies. It may be beneficial in treating obsessive or compulsive behaviors, and in relinquishing chronic worry.

Black Tourmaline increases physical vitality, replacing tension and stress with the ability to view the world objectively with clear, rational thought and neutrality. It inspires a positive attitude, no matter the circumstances, and stimulates altruism and practical creativity.

Making Life Work for You
by Madisyn Taylor

Running your life and your household is a bit like running a business for which some things can easily be delegated.

Sometimes we have so many varying responsibilities in our lives, ranging from work obligations to caring for children to running a household, we feel we cannot possibly make it all work. We may feel overwhelmed in the face of it all, ending each day feeling hopelessly behind schedule. However, regardless of how frustrating this can be, these are the parameters that make up our lives, and we owe it to ourselves to find a way to make it work. Rather than buckling under the pressure of an impossible to-do list, we might take a moment to view the larger perspective.

Like the president of a large organization, we must first realize that we cannot do every job ourselves. The first step to sanity is learning how to delegate some of the responsibilities to other people, whether by paying someone to clean our house or trading childcare duties with another parent. In addition, we might find places where we can shift our expectations in ways that make our lives easier. For example, expecting ourselves to create a healthy home-cooked meal every night after a full day of work, errands, or caring for an infant or toddler may be a bit excessive. We might allow ourselves to order in food once in a while without any guilt. Accepting the adjustments needed to make our lives work is an essential ingredient to being at peace with our situation.

At the end of the day, we must come to terms with changing what we can and accepting what we cannot change. Sometimes the laundry piles up, a sick child demands more of our attention than usual, and we temporarily get behind with our schedule. Accepting this momentary state of affairs and trusting in our ability to get back on track when the time is right, we gracefully accept our life as it is, letting go of perfectionism and embracing life as it stands.

Difficult Times
by Madisyn Taylor

We can all benefit from times of constriction and difficulty to help us grow and learn.

It can be very challenging to maintain a positive attitude and a measure of faith when you are in the midst of difficult times. This is partly because we tend to think that if the universe loves us we will experience that love in the form of positive circumstances. However, we are like children, and the universe is our wise mother who knows what our souls need to thrive better than we do. Just as a young child does not benefit from getting everything she wants, we also benefit from times of constriction and difficulty to help us grow and learn. If we keep this in mind and continue to trust that we are loved even when things are hard, it helps us bear the difficult time with grace.

This period of time in history is full of difficulty for a lot of human beings, and you may feel less alone knowing you are not being singled out. There are extreme energy changes pulsing through the universe at every level and, of course, we are all part of the growing process and the growing pains. It helps if we remember that life is one phase after another and that this difficult time will inevitably give way to something new and different. When we feel overwhelmed we can comfort ourselves with the wise saying: This too shall pass.

At the same time, if you truly feel that nothing is going right for you, it’s never a bad idea to examine your life and see if there are some changes you can make to alleviate some of the difficulty. Gently and compassionately exploring the areas giving you the most trouble may reveal things you are holding onto and need to release: unprocessed emotions, unresolved transitions, or negative ways of looking at yourself or reality. As you take responsibility for the things you can change, you can more easily surrender to the things you can’t, remembering all the while that this phase will, without doubt, give way to another.

Gilberto’s Birthday

It might well have been the hottest day of summer. To celebrate his birthday Gilberto’s five buddies from the shipping department took him to lunch at Ham Hocks, a local eatery.
Gilberto’s tight brown polyester shirt clung against his back and shoulders creating the impression that he was an Olympic bodybuilder.
“Beer, “they yelled. “Big pitchers for the table.”
An unusually thin redhead with pronounced cheekbones and freckles handed out menus. Her eyes locked onto Gilberto’s muscular frame.
Seeing her excited him and turned him on.
His eyes widened. “Hello, I’m Gilberto.”
“Today’s his birthday,” one of his friends said waving his beer. He couldn’t stop looking at her.
“That’s really your hair?” Gilberto said. ” All red and it comes from God and not a bottle from the drug store?”
She smiled. “All mine, all compliments of God.” She poised her pen against her pad patiently waiting to take their orders.
“Tell me who you are?” Gilberto persisted. “So small and thin I could fit you in my pocket.”
“Soup of the day’s lima bean, sausage and kale,” she said ignoring his comments. “Daily special’s ham hocks six eggs over fried dough.”
“So, what you want me to call you.” He smiled dreamily.
Patiently she held her pen poised waiting to take their orders.
“Be careful,” one said. “If he falls for you, he’ll marry you tomorrow. Gil wants six, seven kids.”
They all laughed.
“All sons,” Gilberto boasted. “I want my own soccer team; we go worldwide on cable sports channel.”
“I’ll have a seafood bacon omelet,” Ramon said. “With a double side of fried dough.”
Four others chimed in. Finally, she looked at Gilberto.
“You! It’s you I want,” he said boldly. “Today’s my birthday. Like they sing in that song; all I want is you.” Gilberto gave her his best smile. Once that smile could melt a woman’s heart — when he was younger and a star of the soccer league.”
“You gotta have a name,” he pushed.
She sighed. “It’s really your birthday?”
“Yeah,” Chico laughed. “He’s forty something.”
“Don’t believe him,” Gilberto shot back “Nowhere near forty. Try me out, see for yourself. I’m a stallion. Ride me and we come in first at the Kentucky Derby.” In his mind his fingers played with her red ringlets. “So, ok, tell me your name.”
“Tushy,” she said flatly. “Any of you want the salad bar.”
He looked serious. “What kinda name’s Tushy? You Catholic or something? I see you wearing a cross.” He swallowed more beer. “You’re pintsize. I like your tough attitude.” He grinned. “We play and I’ll let you boss me around. So, what’s with your name?”
“Ask my mother, I’m Danish.” She lowered her voice and looked at him. “Something about you, something too hot for your own good.”
“You want to teach me lessons?” His big hands widened, he grinned.
She smiled sweetly. “Yes,” she whispered. Then she turned and went to the kitchen.
They finished lunch. As she collected their checks, Gilberto said. “What time can I come get you.”
“Four,” she said. “But I have to get home early so we can’t make it a late night.”
Just knowing she was willing aroused him even more. “I’ll be back at four,”‘ he grinned. “Then you can be my birthday present.”
Hoots from his buddies. “More beer,” Ramon cried keeping the festivities alive.
At four Gilberto stood in the doorway waiting. Too much beer and fried food caused an incessant grumbling from his stomach. He felt bloated but nonetheless optimistic. Right then all he wanted was for this skinny adorable redhead to be his.
“Where you want to go? I’m yours, whatever you want,” he said between burps. He liked her freckles, her innocent face, and her small white teeth.
“Whatever you say,” she smiled. “It’s your birthday.”
“Let’s start in the park. Sit by the pond. Get better acquainted. Then maybe go back to my place.” He thought putting it like that sounded romantic.
She smiled and took his hand. That moment he felt like he was on top of the world. They found a bench. Little kids were splashing. Mothers in modest swimsuits, knee deep in the water watched their children.
“Bet you have a nice bikini.” He touched her thin shoulder. Her red hair glinted in the late afternoon sun.
He was nervous about his burping. What he really wanted was to kiss her endlessly, but he knew from past experiences it was best to go slow and play along with safe conversation.
Looking concerned she reached into her leather pocketbook and pulled out a small bag of what looked like shriveled black berries.
She looked at him. “I hope normally you eat better than you did at lunch today.” She took out a few berries and handed them to him. “Here take these but chew them slowly. They’ll settle your stomach. You really need to know all that fried food will shorten your life.”
He frowned. “Fried food’s my favorite.” He put a them into his mouth and chewed intently. He grinned. “These taste good. Where do you get them?”
“My mother sends them to me from Denmark. They’re medicinal.”
He found them soft and chewy, somewhere between a grape and maybe a sour cherry. They had an odd sweet taste. He took the bag from her, shook several into his hand and tossed them into his mouth like candy. “Tushy your real name? Never heard of a name like that.”
She smiled. “No, my real name is Veronica. But Tushy was my mother’s nickname for me. I’m glad you like what I gave you, but I wouldn’t eat any more. I only take one or maybe two at the most when I really need to.”
“They look like big raisins. What do you call them?”
“My mother always called them prune berries.”
A typhoon, then a cyclone, followed by a tsunami exploded inside his middle. His eyes bulged. He shot up from the bench. “I’ll be back as soon as I can.” Feeling desperate, he fled to the public toilets.
He wasn’t sure how long he was detained. Every time he thought to leave, his body insisted differently. By the time he got back to the bench dusk had fallen. Tushy was gone. A woman sitting nearby smiled at him and said.”Your friend had to get home early. But she said to wish you a very happy birthday.”

Weekly Horoscope:
by Georgia Nicols
Sunday, May 31, 2020

Pluto takes 250 years to cycle the Sun. Pluto and Saturn are now less than 5 degrees apart. This began in Dec. 2019 and lasts for the rest of the year. (The last time they were lined up in Capricorn was in 1518.) Capricorn is the sign of the government; it symbolizes “structures” in society and our bodies. When these planets line up, we experience financial problems, shortages, restrictions of freedom of movement and issues that affect borders. Suppression can trigger explosive, even violent reactions. The answer is to build new structures to correct the problems we currently face because an old order of life is passing away. Fortunately, these planets will separate in December this year, which means things are not getting better fast. Au contraire – we have a rough autumn ahead. (It’s always darkest before it gets pitch black.)

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This is a wonderful week to schmooze or interact with others in person or online. It’s a great week to write, act, teach or sell because your words will be like gold! Diplomacy and tact will be second nature to you (not always the case) and you will charm everyone you meet! Family discussions will be significant. Many of you will tackle home repairs and DIY projects. One minor frustration is you might not get credit for what you do, which is unfair. To offset this, you will appreciate the beauty in your everyday surroundings. It will also be obvious to you how much love there is in your everyday world.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This harsh encounter of Saturn and Pluto will affect travel plans as well as plans related to higher education, medicine, publishing, the media and the law for your sign. The good news is that this week, you will actually attract money to you! This is timely because your focus is definitely on money, earnings and cash flow right now. Many of you will enjoy buying beautiful things for yourself and loved ones. The placement of both Mercury in your House of Communications and Mars in your House of Friendships indicates you want to be actively involved with others, perhaps even competitively. You’re chomping at the bit because you’re ready to do something!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

This is a delightful week because the Sun and Venus are lined up in your sign and it doesn’t get better than this. This makes you socially confident. In fact, you want people to pay attention to you, which is why you will do something to attract attention. New contacts and friendships are likely. Not only does this planetary aspect favour socializing with others, it also favours financial activities. (However, guard against being extravagant!) Meanwhile, Mercury will trigger moneymaking ideas while Mars will continue to arouse your ambition. Oh yeah – you’re going places! (Tip: This is a great time to buy wardrobe goodies, which is challenging to do online.)

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This heavy-duty meeting of Saturn and Pluto occurs opposite your sign, which means many of you have undergone major transformations in your closest friendships and partnerships. Some have ended. If this is the case, it means they outlived their usefulness., At this time, you are happy to stay in the background and keep a low profile; nevertheless, fiery Mars wants you to travel or explore new ideas, new situations and discover adventure! In addition, Mercury in your sign makes you talkative and chatty! Don’t worry about hiding and getting dusty. You will make things happen in your own sweet time.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is a social, friendly week for you! Both the Sun and fair Venus are lined up in your House of Friendships, which means you will be extra friendly to everyone! You will welcome any kind of get-together online or in a social distancing way because you want to enjoy the company of others. Romance will flourish because lovers will become friends and friends will become lovers. Disputes about shared property, inheritances, debt, taxes or unpaid bills might arise at this time. Fortunately, the placement of Mercury will give you the energy to research and do your homework to protect your own best interests. Even in isolation, you can be a potato with eyes!

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

An extremely favourable week for you! No question! This is because the Sun and Venus are lined up together right at the top of your chart. This means in the eyes of others, you can you do no wrong. People admire you, especially bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. (This is due to the flattering spotlight of the Sun.) Furthermore, Venus makes you appear charming, cooperative and an expert on all things beautiful, which is why others will ask for your input on how to make something look more attractive. Admittedly, Mars is opposite your sign, which does make you feel that others are annoying. (Especially partners and close friends.) “Wretch! Have you no couth?” (Oh dear.)

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Travel for pleasure totally appeals to you now; unfortunately, many of you cannot do this. Therefore, you have to figure out different ways to explore the world and discover adventure and learn new things. Let’s face it, you can do an amazing amount online. Or you can go for a drive. You can explore opportunities to take a course, learn a language, talk to people from other countries and different backgrounds and push yourself to experience something new and different. Meanwhile, you’re working hard this week, which means you will get a lot done. In turn, this promotes positive conversations with bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. Looking good!

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Be careful of accidents and untoward situations that occur in your everyday world because this heavy-duty conjunction of Pluto and Saturn takes place in your House of Communications, which also affects daily travel, short trips, conversations and learning. Something unexpected will impact (or has already impacted) your daily world – no question. This week you are passionate but pleasantly so. You are in the fortune position of receiving gifts from others. This same influence means it’s a great time for you to get a loan or mortgage from a bank. Mars makes you playful and cheeky. In fact, it hypes your sex drive as well. (You love your lingerie and “underpinnings.”)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Your finances have taken a beating lately because of the conjunction of Pluto and Saturn. This could mean you need to make a change in how you earn your money, handle your money, spend your money or deal with your assets. At the moment, some kind of increased chaos and activity on the home front might test your patience. This could be due to renovations, residential moves, visiting guests or isolating with your family. (Aagghh!) You are a freedom-loving sign who loves to get out and travel so this stay-at-home policy is difficult for you. Fortunately, fair Venus is opposite your sign now softening all the aspects of your closest relationships with friends and partners. How sweet it is.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You are industrious this week! But more than that — not only are you busy and getting a lot done – you’re happy doing so! Oh yes, you feel great satisfaction now from accomplishing a lot. You take pride in your work. In fact, you want to work smarter! This is why you will look for ways to become better organized not only in your job but in every aspect of your life. Coworkers are also supportive and helpful this week. In addition, you are keen to improve your health, despite the fact that sweets and desserts are so tempting! Lucky Jupiter continues to be in your sign bringing you divine protection. Enjoy your good fortune!

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

It’s play city for you this week! (Mom always liked you best.) Fun, entertainment and having a great time are tops on your menu. Romance is definitely favoured. You will also relate well with kids and enjoy fun activities with them, especially games and sports. Grab any chance to express your own creative self-expression because this will please you. Despite all these fun diversions, you’re working hard to earn money because right now you identify your ego with what you own. This also makes you spend more money as well! (“Mine is bigger, newer and better.”) You will particularly excel at mental work this week because it’s easy for you to pay attention to detail more than usual. You want to find the best technique for doing something. “Got it!”

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is the perfect week to hunker down at home and enjoy your own company or the company of the family in your “bubble.” Because the Sun is lined up with Venus, relations with others will be particularly warm and friendly. In fact, if it were possible, you would entertain at home because you are keen to redecorate and tweak your digs and then show off your talents to others. Furthermore, Mercury makes you playful, which is why you will be attracted to mental games, movies, puzzles, crosswords, mysteries and whodunits. Because fiery Mars is still in your sign, you have energy for all of this! Be wise and get some physical exercise so that you can blow off any pent-up steam building up within you. “I’m invincible!”

Weekly Horoscopes beginning Sunday, 31 May 2020

If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Aries
Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

While nobody would blame you for being distracted by both changes in your existing arrangements and appealing new ideas and offers, the resulting discussions and decision-making has meant neglecting other tasks. Worse, certain individuals who you care about are suffering, if not struggling from hurt feelings. Enough that everything and everybody else must wait. Dealing with them has now become your top priority. Let them know it.

You will be awarded a plum assignment and this offer will come out of the blue. You will soon get over your initial surprise as you take up this exciting challenge. So rather than getting on with mundane matters you were expecting to do, you have this chance to exercise your mind and show yourself in your true colours. Tie up loose ends at home. Get through domestic chores you have been avoiding. A Taurus friend will offer practical help and advice.

Your ruling planet, Mars, will be at apparent right angle with Venus itself aligning with the Sun midweek. This suggests a key moment for relationships – business as well as personal. With Mercury now passing over the base of your solar chart, domestic and property issues will likely be to the fore. Risk assessment is important. However, Venus is retrograde and doesn`t turn direct until June 25th. It would be as well to take your time. Use this timeframe to assess, reassess and consider. Career-wise and commercially it may be that you are repositioning (though of course much depends on your personal chart). There is strong likelihood that from early August you will be moving in new direction.

Taurus
Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

It`s not that you`ve been secretive about the joys of certain relationships as the current chaos has prevented you dwelling much on any of life`s pleasures. However, the Sun`s encounter with your ruler Venus, midweek, encourages exactly that. Focus on what`s bringing you joy but, also, ensure those you care about are reminded of the power and warmth of your feelings. This will do wonders for everybody.

There`s no reason to feel guilty or embarrassed about approaching other people for help. There are friends who are grateful for your past support and they`ll be willing to return the favour. Don`t be afraid to speak out when you need anything and you will see how quickly people will rally to your cause. A neighbourhood project brings you satisfaction. There`s a lot to learn through working with those who share your aims and you will achieve goals faster than trying to go it alone.

Your ruling planet, Venus, aligns with the Sun on Wednesday and simultaneously reaches quarter phase with Mars. This is likely to bring a whirlwind of relationship and partnership activity. Business-wise this could prove daunting. Note too, that there is a Full Moon next Friday. Feelings could run very high indeed. Major financial issues will likely need to be addressed. Yet your entrepreneurial spirit may not be so far from the surface. Floating ideas for developing new working systems and schedules might even be pleasurable! There is no need to rush. Though you may be prodded and pushed to make agreements by the weekend, recall that Venus is retrograde and that until both that planet and Mercury are both in forward motion (as of mid-July) it would be wise not to set too much in stone.

Gemini
Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

One of your greatest gifts is your interest in others, their ideas and pursuits and the world around you. However, occasionally, you need to focus on you, personally, and what you`re getting from those activities and your own priorities. This isn`t urgent as much as it`s about fine-tuning several areas of your life before the balance shifts too far away from what, and who, means most to you.

The sooner you admit to an error and seek help, the easier it will be to fix things. Getting some support will give you peace of mind. Allow yourself to learn from the people around you. A friend`s conversation will intrigue you. You might want to know more about a community project they happen to mention. Getting involved in neighbourhood activities will be a welcome diversion. This venture, like learning how to manage the lockdown will be challenging, but rewarding.

Venus is retrograde in your sign. This week that planet arrives at quarter phase aspect with Mars just as the Sun aligns with Venus. This suggests an important moment for relationships of all kinds. For you, communications are always important. Yet with Mars moving through Pisces, the potential for misunderstanding is much increased: and all this even before Mercury, your ruling planet, turns retrograde midmonth. Yet this could prove perfect `thinking and meditating` time. Where your career is concerned, it may be that new relationships needs to be forged. Old ones may no longer be appropriate. Schedules will likely also need to be adapted. This isn`t necessarily a bad thing though true, with the two planets Jupiter and Pluto reaching crucial points in their cycle, wealth management could be of some concern.

Cancer
Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Once you understand two important facts, everything else will make sense. First, with eclipses on Friday the 5th and, on 22 June, the latter in Cancer, and both shifting your world and events around you, life`s about change. Some will be no surprise, but many will be beyond anybody`s control. Yet, as events unfold, you`ll discover they`re not just for the best, they`re thrilling. For now, explore everything.

A decision to return to an idea or project that has been left to gather dust may not go down very well with those closest to you. A partner`s initial annoyance will block your plans but when they see you are serious; they will go along with things and see how they work out. Take your time with anything demanding attention to detail or technical skills around and about the house. Go by the book and problems that prevented you from moving forward in the past will disappear.

This might not be the easiest of times. True, you might wonder just how much more you can take. Be aware though, that just two days ahead of Friday`s Full Moon, Venus and Mars reach a quarter phase. That they do so as Venus aligns with the Sun suggests this will be an important moment for partnerships of all kinds. This will surely affect your working as much is your private life. Venus though is retrograde and moving through a very delicate area of your solar chart. It`s perhaps time to consider your image, your CV and general presentation skills. With assistance (most likely of a Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius) you could yet make improvements so that by the time Venus reaches your sign (early August) this exercise is complete. Yes, all this will likely need much refinement – especially as Mercury moves through your sign – a transit that doesn`t conclude until the Full Moon on August 3rd.

Leo
Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

For some time, you`ve been wrestling with unsettling feelings about important elements in your own life but also involving a range of situations, from work or money, to the closest of your relationships.. While no Leo likes living with uncertainty and the required patience hasn`t been easy, finally, there are breakthroughs. True, they`re only the first step; but they`re going in the right direction.

Make a special point of dealing with a cash concern that is causing contention. Decide on how best to handle this and stand your ground even if your nearest and dearest doesn`t quite share your focus. You know what you are doing and that`s why you should refuse to let anyone sway you away from your intentions. An online adventure will bring you a lot of fun and laughter and you will be hoping to enjoy many repeats of this type of experience over the months to come..

It would be unsurprising if you were at odds with a group of people over a property matter. This situation might not resolve for a few weeks yet; and yes, it is possible – especially when Venus arrives at apparent right angle to Mars midweek, that you will exercise your lion`s roar. That though could get you precisely where you need to be. True, there will likely be many other obstacles before the solar Eclipse on June 21. However, by next Friday, and with the Moon then moving through another of the Fire signs, renewed dialogue should give you reassurance that there is still room for negotiation. It may be that you can pick up loose ends with someone you worked with last November.

Virgo
Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

As you`re well aware, when you`re anxious or facing changes you can`t control, you tend to obsess on minor details. While it`s true, having the facts to hand is useful, once everything is in order, you`re encouraged to do something entirely different. Relax. Take a break, ideally with family, close friends or loved ones; and learn something new. A sport, cooking or yoga. You`ll never regret it.

You`re making slow but steady progress with a health matter. You are starting to realise how out of condition you have actually become. There hasn`t been a lot of time to get in much exercise and now you intend to resolve this problem. Getting more sleep and taking regular walks will also help you feel better. Legal matters are dragging on. You will be as glad to see the end of these as you will be to see the end of the lockdown. If you feel others could get a move on, now is the time to say so.

Venus is retrograde at the apex of your solar chart. On Wednesday, June 3, not only does that planet arrives at apparent right angle with Mars, but it is also aligned with the Sun. This will likely be an important moment for relationships of all kinds and for you, highlight a career dilemma. Rather than over worrying this, it might be as well to recall that Venus will be retrograde through until the end of June. This apparent wilderness period should prove useful for practising mindfulness and finding calm. This is something you can do. Indeed, it wouldn`t be so surprising if, by next Friday, you sought help from a mentor whose assessment of where you are now, and where you could be, is timely.

Libra
Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Few things make you happier than hanging out with those you care about. At the moment, however, their interests are going in directions you find odd, if not worrying. Tempting as it is to lure them back to safer ground, take a chance. Judging by the current planetary setup, not only will joining others on this adventure broaden your horizons, it will deepen your relationship, as well.

News from a friend or relative will make a difference to your mood. This may also mean you will be making a spontaneous trip, either to run an errand or to visit someone you haven`t seen in ages. Thanks to lockdown or social distancing a group project has reached a breaking point. This venture has had many problems already and you sense some people are ready to leave. You may need to decide whether to continue or to look for a similar scheme elsewhere.

Your ruling planet, Venus, is retrograde until June 25. Until then, you may be in reflective mood; considering how best to engage with those who work some distance away. With communications having been topsy-turvy in recent weeks, you may now need to find yet another way forward. Note too, that Mercury is moving over the apex of your solar chart; a transit that doesn`t conclude until early August – when Venus too changes sign. You are not the Titanic. You are not about to crash your career on the rocks. Between now and then, you could turn your ship away from those obstacles and redefine your long-term goal. True, you might not get everything in place for some weeks yet. For now, it might be wise to give thought as to how best to direct your energies.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

One of your most admirable characteristics is your ability to stick with what, and who, you believe in. However, sometimes this loyalty means you sidestep potentially worthwhile ideas, activities or encounters because they`d upset your carefully created balance. Actually, it`s time for changes, for you and, possibly, along with others; and now that opportunity has come. All you need do is explore it.

Tread lightly with relatives who say they want the best for you but are acting like they don`t. You may not like the advice they are giving but it could make a lot of sense. Is someone being cruel to be kind? Keeping in mind social distance rules a sport or outside activity will keep you active, stimulated and occupied. With the potential prospect of everyday life getting easier later in the year why not start thinking about how your lifestyle will have to change and start planning accordingly?

Your ruling planet, Mars, now travelling through another of the Water signs and the risk and speculation area of your solar chart, arrives at right angle to Venus. Asset management will most likely have your attention. As we know, this has been anything but an easy year and it would be understandable if financial concerns needed full attention. Yet this could prove an optimum moment for self-investment. It could be that your knowledge base is lacking. With Mercury now moving slowly through another of the Water signs, you might absorb information like a sponge. In particular, you could master technical language. It`s further probable that you`ll have contact – most likely with a Libra who lives a long way away- whose career journey fascinates and inspires.

Sagittarius
Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Fortunately, you`re superbly equipped to deal with the uncertainties now, prior to the powerful Sagittarius eclipsed Full Moon on Friday 5 June. However, while you`re rather enjoying the twists and turns currently taking place, not everybody is. In fact, some regard the changes you welcome as seriously worrying. Be sympathetic, but then focus on other matters. For now, it really is your only option.

You need people behind you to support a specific aim. This is something you cannot do on your own. Because you are helping a special cause, you won`t have to search hard for support. Your passion and enthusiasm for this project will win you all the backing you need. Tune into new opportunities. As doors open up for you, don`t wait too long to step inside or they could close in your face. Make the most of new offers while you have the chance to do so.

It`s interesting just how many people seem to want a piece of you presently. It may be that they want the benefit of your wisdom but don`t want to take your advice. By Wednesday June 3rd, when the Sun conjoins Venus in your opposite sign, and as Venus lies at apparent right angle to Mars, tension and disquiet will be obvious and as a result, you could experience stressed. Yet once the Moon moves into your sign late on Thursday, perhaps you will give voice to some of your own thoughts about how things could operate. True, this will probably give rise to yet further argument. It may be almost the end of June before colleagues realise not that you`ve been `right` all along, but that they ought to have listened more carefully to ensure that a tradition or legacy is passed on.

Capricorn
Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Admirable as the efforts you make to learn everything possible about circumstances and, where appropriate, the people you`re getting involved in may be, every once in a while, destiny decides it`s time for you to plunge in. Yes, it`s about taking exactly the kind of chances you do all you can to avoid. Still, go for it. Only once you have will you realise how much you`ll benefit.

You`re feeling pretty positive and able to cope with the new circumstances while a friend is complaining about all the things they don`t have. They won`t understand why you feel so good. It`s just one of those times when you are thankful for the many blessings in your life and this fills your heart with joy. If you`re thinking about taking out a loan or investing your money, get professional advice. Be sure to ask about the possible risks and don`t be fobbed off with anything but the truth.

You surely won`t be the only sign to encounter crisis. Matters concerning wealth and responsibility are set to loom large for the whole of the month. A crisis in the workplace is probable as the Sun aligns with Venus on Wednesday June 3rd. That same day, Venus is at apparent right angle to Mars. It may be that a piece of work submitted recently is found wanting. Difficulties may be down to presentation and not the facts or technical information. Making clear what is and what is not within your remit will likely require you pointing out where your expertise lies. This action though could bring you renewed respect though true, it might also require that you bend rules a little and agree to work with someone whose artistic tendencies are apparently incomprehensible. Yet it may be that in combination, and within a short time, you are seen as the dream team.

Aquarius
Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

Usually, you`re the first to spot new, and worthwhile, ideas or trends and, where appropriate, take action on them; but now, you`re not only mystified, you`re clinging to elements of the past with a ferocity that surprises even you. For the time being, wait and watch. This is as much about letting go of old, and restrictive, ways of thinking as the actual circumstances in question.

Diplomacy is necessary if you feel a colleague is making a mess of an important job. A painstaking approach may ruffle a few feathers but if you advise them without sounding too hypercritical, they will accept your help with noted relief. A friend or neighbour is feeling sorry for themselves. You do understand what they are going through but you`re tired of hearing their moans and groans and you need to find more cheerful company.

You won`t be the only sign to find this a challenging seven day. The Sun`s alignment with Venus in another of the Air signs and Venus simultaneously at right angles to Mars suggests much tension – most likely connected to the costs of expertise. Yet you may know that this is money well spent. Negotiating will likely be easier once Venus turns direct at the end of June but yes, it may be that these discussions have to begin now. In the interim you may need to raid reserves – especially if repairs cannot be put off. Work wise – and especially if you are your own boss, – this will likely be a learning curve that is challenging but engaging. Whilst not normally prone to distraction, you should take care that colleagues born under Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces don`t sabotage your efforts.

Pisces
Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Those who know you best are aware how idealistic you are. These standards are strictly personal, yet influence many of the decisions you make. Judging by the coming powerful link, in mid-June, between Mars, the planet of ego, and your ruler Neptune, you`re beginning a period of review. While some matters, and changes, will be simple, others will require deep thought and, possibly, far-reaching vision.

A disquieting new influence makes you uncomfortable. One people are laughing and joking then the next they turn sullen and serious. Their changeable moodiness will be difficult to understand and you`ll only be able to put up with it in small doses. Patience is the one commodity that might be very short on the ground and you may have to plum some deep personal resources to handle the new circumstances that the changes in living arrangements have brought to us all.

You may recall that Mars is passing through your sign. On Wednesday, that planet is at right angle to Venus which itself is aligned with the Sun at the base of your solar chart. This could mark a clearing-out moment (for relationships, ideas and things! Venus doesn`t complete retrograde motion until almost the end of June. This is perhaps the optimum moment for sweeping away anything that is long past their sell by date. True, this will likely require many trips down memory lane before these tasks can be satisfactorily achieved. You might also benefit from the assistance of a Taurus or Scorpio whose ability to assess value is considerable and useful. It may be that with their assistance you are able to build a useful cash reserve to be used in August.
