Rudolf Steiner ~ On this day in the year 1861, famous psychic and spiritual philosopher Rudolf Steiner was born in Kraljevic (which was part of Hungary at that time). He possessed clairvoyant powers and communicated often with nonphysical entities. In 1902, he was appointed general secretary of the German Section of the Theosophical Society, and in 1913, he established his own school for esoteric research. He died on March 30, 1925.
St Radegund of the Oats – A saintly sixth-century queen (she married Clotaire, King of the Merovingians, but fled from him after he murdered her brother), her worship replaced that of the earlier grain goddess. The legend goes that while she was fleeing from her husband, she passed a farmer sowing oats and asked him to tell anyone that followed that he had not seen a woman pass since he sowed the oats. In the next few hours, the oats grew so tall that Radegund could hide herself among them and when the farmer delivered his message to the King, he called off the search. (A similar story is told about St Mildburga (Feb 23), St Walburga (Feb 25) and the Virgin Mary.)
People brought oats as offerings to her on her feast day which was celebrated earlier in England, on February 11. St Radegund’s other feast day is August 13, which further confirms her connection with a grain goddess, as this is the date of a great goddess festival, when Artemis, Hecate and later the Virgin Mary were asked to protect the grain as it stood in the fields awaiting harvest. Morning Horoscopes For: Friday, 27 February 2015
Birthday horoscope for today: There`s a fine line between what could be termed `losses` and events that encourage you to de-clutter your life, your thinking and to clear out your possessions. True, in certain situations, it may seem destiny is being a bit heavy-handed. Still, go along with this because within only a short time something new will appear to fill the empty space you`ve just created; and that something will be far better than anything you`d imagined possible.
If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from both houses of those signs.
Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible details of today and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac.
Aries (Fire sign): March 21 — April 19
Epigram: Your tech affinity is peaking right now, and you may find it easier than usual to get great deals on the latest gadgets. If that`s not your thing, you can at least make that copier work right.
Outline: It sounds simple, but it`s true: If you want to get a clearer picture of where you`re headed, open your eyes. Lately, there has been a lot of change and activity that`s clouded your view and distracted you from what really matters. Quiet down a little and stop thinking about what `could` be. Right now, wishing isn`t going to get you anywhere. Accept things as they are, and you will find much to enjoy. There is positive stimulation around you, so reach out and get more involved in it.

Eventually, your subconscious will tell you which path is best. You won`t be fully satisfied with either choice, so be prepared for a little discomfort. Friendship with someone whose organisational skills are well known could grow (they might delegate something to you – and to your financial advantage). A request could bring you together with a group of friends to do something for a charity. You might also become involved in surprising a friend. Taurus (Earth sign): April 20 — May 20
Epigram: You just don`t know what`s happening today – but that`s okay! You may find that your energy is better spent on action than on thinking. Try to be decisive, as hard as that may be.
Outline: Even if you feel pressed for time, don`t take any shortcuts in your work. If you cut corners, you will miss out on some nuances that the powers that be are looking for. This `no shortcut` rule applies to friendships too – go the long way to get to your destination. Generous gifts or spoiling someone with luxury isn`t the way to build your relationship. Rather, you need to be open with your emotions and share some everyday moments if you want to get closer.
People enjoy being in your company because you`re sensitive to their feelings. You don`t bring up controversial subjects and rarely pass judgement on others. That`s probably why your social calendar is brimming full. While you enjoy spending time with friends, it`s also important to enjoy solitary pursuits. Working on a creative project will give you a chance to connect with your artistic impulses. Some people are intimidated by your imagination and don`t know what to make of it.

Gemini (Air sign): May 21 — June 20
Epigram: New ideas are coming your way – and they`re coming out from you toward the rest of the world. It`s a great time to brainstorm and come up with the best way to take care of whatever faces you.
Outline: The inspiration and energy you`ve been waiting for will roar in first thing this morning. Hop on this righteous wave of productivity and ride it for all it`s worth, because it won`t likely last all day. Others will get a kick out of your new and improved attitude, and you could even gain some support from former foes. Intellectual ideas aren`t going to appeal to you much; it`s all about action and adventure. Move with big gestures and laugh the loudest!
An urge for personal advancement causes you to chase the spotlight. You might have to elbow a competitor out of the way. You`re tired of being eclipsed by people who are less talented. Getting a promotion will be a long process, so prepare accordingly. Make your desire known and keep careful records of all your achievements. Don`t just cherry pick the best or easiest assignments. Outline: You`ll be brimming with a heapin` helping of get-up-and-go, but it will be difficult to finalize anything. A lot of details are still up in the air, and the uncertainty around you will only grow for the next few days. Luckily, you have many new people and commitments to keep you busy. With the increase in activity in your life right now, concentration might be difficult to achieve and even more difficult to hold on to for any great length of time.
Keeping a low profile allows you to recharge your batteries. You`re tired of being in the line of fire. Dealing with the public can be exhausting. Epigram: You are not sure whether today is a good day or a bad one – and you might not be sure for quite some time! Just try to handle each situation that arises quickly and peaceably.
Outline: Putting up walls between yourself and the people you love is not a good idea right now – you need to keep those healthy connections alive, and the best way to do so is to keep it real and engage in some secret-sharing. However, when it comes to your public relationships, you need to make sure your walls are sturdy and high. Create a buffer you can hide behind. Protecting your privacy should be a major goal right now – not everyone deserves your trust.
You are confident and driven. Use these qualities to move forward in the workplace. If a high profile position becomes available, apply for it. Your superior communication skills make you a great candidate for this job. You`re not as flashy as some of your competitors, but this can work in your favour. Instead of trying to project a cool image, you focus on yielding satisfactory results. This will help you build a reputation as a respected professional. People will come to you with important assignments.
The fact that your domestic life doesn`t seem to be running smoothly might not faze you at all. You can draw on experience. You might also have more resources available than in the past. A colleague or neighbour may be able to undertake a journey on your behalf or look after keys for you. Libra (Air sign): September 23 — October 22
Epigram: You have to bring up something new and different – and it may be time for you to have that awkward conversation with your spouse or boss. It should go even better than you hope!
Outline: If you feel like slowing down, then you have perfect timing – because one or two fascinating people will come into your world and they deserve your careful, studied attention. Skip past the small talk and get right to the heart of what`s on your mind. They can handle the direct approach, and will match you witty remark for witty remark. Your opinions may be challenged, but you will have a great time defending your position. Keep an open mind, and let yourself learn something new.
There`s no reason to settle for second best. If you`re dissatisfied with the results of a project, speak up. Be polite, specific and constructive in your criticisms. People will be willing to work with you if they think you`re being reasonable. It`s possible you`ll get some free merchandise or a gift certificate as an apology. You`re not trying to make waves, but you are determined to get good value for your money. Nobody can argue with that. Remember to praise helpful, attentive workers.
Love is in the air – and you could be involved in subterfuge. You might also be asked to help a friend who can`t yet visualise their future. Discussing options and investments could be on the agenda. Scorpio (Water sign): October 23 — November 21
Epigram: You`re having a hard time with risk today – so much so that you may have to just walk away from what had once promised to be a lucrative situation. Things are looking up for sure!
Outline: Open yourself up to the idea that expression is necessary to get you to the next level of happiness. In other words, for a healthier life, you need to share your feelings – no matter what they are. Utilize your personality and express yourself in the best way you know how. Singing, dancing, cooking or even just goofing around are all great ways to display how you`re feeling. If you keep your emotions inside or mask them, then you`ll be wasting your time.
Trust your perceptions when it comes to a romantic partner. If you sense your amour wants more space, back off. Encourage them to enjoy a day of leisure by themselves. Don`t get jealous if they opt to spend time with another friend. It isn`t necessary to spend every moment together. Your relationship will fare much better when you pursue separate interests. Are you single? You could meet someone special at a house of worship or spiritual workshop.
An acute bout of `grass being greener` could set you thinking about where you really want to live and work in the future – and just how much more `transplanting` you can take. Domestic and emotional change could be following you around. The advice of a friend might not be the route you`re going to take – but nonetheless, might be an option you need to hear – even if it`s only to discount it later.
Finance: Other people are not giving you their money for nothing. There is no such thing as that kind of deal short of an inheritance. Read the fine print, Scorpio, because the pay back could really make this otherwise sweet deal sour.
Career: Prioritize going over the details with a fine-toothed comb. Locating a potential issue that several others have missed – perhaps including your boss – will earn you some big bonus points now.
Sagittarius (Fire sign): November 22 — December 21
Epigram: Life is even busier than usual today – and that means that you`re in your element. You may feel a bit harried from time to time, but you should be able to get plenty done without much effort.
Outline: Relationships are challenging to you – everyone seems to be in the middle of an argument or in a state of utter confusion. You can`t solve everyone else`s problems right now, and frankly you shouldn`t. How two other people relate to each other is their own business – so stick to the sidelines. Let everyone know you`re there when they need you, but don`t give them the impression you`ve taken any one side. Things are more complicated than you may realize.
Your friendly, upbeat attitude attracts several admirers. It`s nice to be the focus of so much romantic attention. Ultimately, you prefer to remain footloose and fancy free. If you`re already in a relationship, this is a good time to ask your partner for support. Discuss the possibility of taking a solitary trip while your amour holds down the fort. You haven`t lost interest. You just want to reconnect with your spiritual side. To do this, you require some peace and quiet.
A flurry of communications could leave you none-the-wiser about the action you`re gong to take. Colleagues may be waiting for you to make an agenda whilst you may prefer them to make the first move. First round negotiations in a business matter give you something more to discuss- this time with someone close who seems to be looking at a different future too.
Finance: You`re dealing with someone who`s all hat, no cattle today, and you can see right through their braggadocio. Don`t be that kind of person yourself, Sag. Put your money where your mouth is – otherwise you`re all talk and no action.
Career: It`s one of those days when you`ll have not one but a half-dozen great ideas in the shower. Seemingly minor happenings will fire up your brain. The more you do, the more the concepts will flow. Carry a notebook at all times – you don`t want to forget this stuff!
Capricorn (Earth sign): December 22 — January 19
Epigram: This isn`t a great time to indulge in gossip or idle chitchat – things are happening that are much more important than that. Your personal energy reserves are a bit tapped out, but that can`t last forever.
Outline: Blessed with a great positive energy, you`ll be spreading joy to everyone you meet. Liberally toss sunny smiles at people – the driver in the car next to you, a stranger on the street and definitely that grouchy guy in the elevator. By putting happy energy out into the world (even in a tiny way) you`re creating a happier environment. It`s sort of like forming a bubble of joy all around you. It`s easier than it sounds – so give it a try!
Coming up with practical solutions to problems is your specialty. If you`re unfamiliar with how a job is done, talk to the experts. People who perform these tasks on a regular basis will be happy to discuss their frustrations. They`ll probably offer some brilliant proposals, too. The problem with so many people who are high up the chain of command is they can be cut off from support staff. Make it your mission to have open communications with workers at every level of the organisation.
You may be required to think about larger sums of money than usual – tuning in to interest rates and other complexities as you do. A companion may be finding this awesome too – despite the fact that they have some experience in this area. You could find yourself being `leaned on` when you`d appreciate being able to do the same. A meeting with a financial advisor or older, wiser `guru-type` friend might help.
Finance: If you think you are somehow attracting all kinds of flighty people, take a good look at what it making them run off. There is something about the project that is screamingly obvious to others but you just can`t see it. Look for the fatal flaw today.
Career: Everyone else may be missing the point, but if you look at the details in the larger context, it`ll all become oh, so clear to you. From there, your projections will be accurate – your plans will win you accolades later.
Aquarius (Air sign): January 20 — February 18
Epigram: Take all the time you need to think things through today – and then speak clearly and straight to the point. Your ability to reach people is heightened tremendously, so you can make great progress.
Outline: Fun and games are perfectly okay, but they don`t pay the rent, if you get the drift. Put away your party shoes and put on your work boots – you`ve got some major stuff to do! At first, you may dread the work, but as the day goes on you`ll get into a rhythm that will take you further than you thought you could go, and in half the time. So dive right in, and get going – the sooner you start, the sooner you`ll finish! Then you can get back to the games.
You feel like you`re always operating at someone else`s whims. It`s time to put an end to this dynamic. Establishing firm boundaries will be difficult. The person you`re dealing with doesn`t pay attention to social cues. Even a direct request for some space may fall on deaf ears. The best way to change this dynamic is to be consistent. Instead of responding immediately to phone calls, texts and e-mails, wait a full day. This will train your pest to back off.
It may be clear to you that others see you differently. The image you have of yourself could undergo a change too. This could be connected to a change in your financial circumstances. You might also be interested in the way people address others: protocol could be important. At work, you may be asked to get involved in a project that`s bigger than anything you`ve done before.
Finance: You may not be the one who starts a buzz or generates much excitement. In fact, you may not be used to getting any kind of attention at all; but today your creativity sparks something that others can`t help but notice, and it pays off in a big way. Congrats.
Career: The temptation to get ahead of yourself is strong, but you have to take into account factors that haven`t been considered. Strategize for the short-term and don`t stress about the longer view. You can`t do anything about any of that just yet.
Pisces (Water sign): February 19 — March 20
Epigram: What you thought was rock-solid turns out to be a bit squishy – but that might not be such a bad thing, your ability to surf through ambiguity should serve you quite well today.
Outline: The time for research and planning is over – get out there and do it! There`s no time left for stalling, and this wall you need to scale isn`t as high as you think. Start climbing now! Nail down travel plans and you may get a happy surprise that will free up some extra money in the budget; consider an upgrade. Being more proactive right now will put you on a higher energy level and give you strong momentum for finishing up some things you`ve been putting off.
You`re in a good mood, so take advantage of it. Tackle a job that usually fills you with fear. You`ll be delighted to discover you handle this chore very well. Trust your emotions when it comes to making difficult choices. Your uncanny intuition is always your best guide. Relatives don`t understand the way you operate. Don`t worry. You don`t owe anyone explanations. When you develop a method that works with you, stick to it. Nobody will dare complain about the results.
The romantic in you could be out in force. A subterfuge could really appeal to you. Words and music may be involved. You might wish you could effect the same magic at work and create a pot of gold so that you could escape from a situation. Feeding this fantasy might result in the solution to one little problem being found though.
Finance: Something is harder than it looks, which is why it is such a so-called good deal. You may end up spending way more time on this than it`s worth in terms of money, but once you start, you just can`t quit. Watch out for similar sink holes.

To the ancient Romans, this was New Year’s Eve. On this day, the sacred blaze burning in the temple of the fire goddess Vesta was allowed to go out. The rest of the year, a sorority called the Vestal Virgins, under the direction of the Virgo Vesalis Maximus, tended the fire carefully, for it represented the very essence of Rome. A night without that fire burning in the temple was a dangerous and powerful time.
There are such flameless nights in our live, times when we do not know if we can survive, when life’s passion has dimmed and all seems dark and cold. In such times, we can only do what the Vestal Virgins did, generation after generation, in the Roman temple: we can wait, and watch, and pray. And hope, and trust in the great truth of nature: that change is inevitable, and even dark times must have their endings.
