Llewellyn’s Spell a Day
Nurturing Life
Spell Date: Sunday, May 13, 2018
Mother’s Day is a fine time to remember women as life givers, whether literally or metaphorically.
Prepare a small space in your garden, or fill a large pot or planter with planting mix. Plant a few small seeds (flowers or veggies) and water gently. Imagine the seeds resting in the warm soil, coming to life, and beginning to spout. Check them daily until you see sprouts emerge—as the moon waxes, this effect will be even stronger. Water as needed, watching as the plants take on vigor and begin to grow.
To encourage the young plants, offer small bits of organic plant food, sprinkle with dried chamomile or thyme, or set small agates near them. Offer thanks:
“Great Gaia, life giver, mother of all.
As you grace the spark of life in these young plants,
Guide my nurturing.
See that these plants grow strong and vital.
And remind me of the responsibilities involved
In being a bringer of life.”

Knot Worth It Spell
Spell Date: Saturday, May 12, 2018
We’ve all encountered situations where it’s best not to get involved or to which we should not devote any energy. But sometimes staying out of it is easier said than done. Use this simple spell to disentangle yourself from any avoidable trouble.
Take a length of black ( protective) wool in your hands and think of your particular situation. Speak it aloud and tie one loose knot as you do so, seeing it entwined in the fibers. Repeat the process two more times. Slide your fingers over and through the knots; feel how constricting they are. Then untie each one, saying:
“It’s not worth it. I want no part of it.”
When all of the knots are untied, hang the cord on a tree or bush to be claimed by nature through wind and wood.

Get That Project Started
Spell Date: Friday, May 11, 2018
There are too many days when we’re facing a project, either magical or mundane, but we just can’t get focused. We need to get to work, but what can we do? Make an amulet.
Get out your favorite quartz crystal, one that you’ve successfully used before in spells and rituals. Go to your favorite bead shop and buy seven beautiful, smallish beads, one in each of the chakra colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet). Buy a spool of silver wire. Wrap the quartz crystal with the silver wire with the beads strung on it in intervals. Make a loop at the top through which you can pass a chain, so you can wear this amulet as a necklace.
Set Sarasvati on your altar and cast your circle. Charge your new amulet with the energy of generosity and put it on. Sit quietly and invite ideas to come. Have a pen and paper handy and let your mind wander. When a good idea appears, write it down.

Cutting Ties Spell
Spell Date: Thursday, May 10, 2018
Often we find ourselves held back by relationships and situations that have a negative impact on our lives, unable to let go because of guilt or a sense of obligation. Now, with the waning moon in Pisces, it is good to take stock, to communicate with our higher Self, and to allow ourselves to let go of that which is no longer needed.
In your sacred circle, with black candles lit (black for our mysteries), ponder these energies. When you’re ready, tie a black cord around your chest. Then tie individual black cords to small drawings or notes with wording that reminds you of these unnecessary aspects of your life, and attach them to the cord around your body. Take your white-handled knife and cut the ties, one at a time, saying:
“I release you with love, respect,
and gratitude for lessons
learned. So mote it be.”

Love Resides Here
Spell Date: Wednesday, May 9, 2018
Honeysuckle has to be my favorite climbing vine. I can’t help but be under its spell, with its trumpeting blossoms and intoxicating scent.
A family was said to be lucky if they had honeysuckle growing over their door, as it kept sickness at bay. Honeysuckle is also associated with love, so here’s a fun way to show that “love resides here.”
To make an enchanted wreath for your front door, you will need:
* A grapevine wreath (abundance)
* Honeysuckle vines ( love)
* Dried lavender flowers ( peace)
* Dried rose buds ( love)
Entwine the wreath with the honeysuckle vines, and glue the rose buds and lavender flowers on in a way that is pleasing to you. Now enchant your wreath by saying:
“Across this threshold, love resides here.
Our hearts are entwined with love and good cheer.
With this charm, the magick increases three times three.
This is a house of love, so mote it be!”
Hang your enchanted wreath on your front door.

Welcoming the Fae
Spell Date: Tuesday, May 8, 2018
Spring is a time to plant and cultivate. As you tend to your gardens, you may want to consider creating a space for the Fae to occupy and thrive in. Consider spaces that are between your main property and the main garden. Plant roses, bluebells, peonies, and other flowers that attract faeries. Include shiny objects such as stones and gazing balls that will also attract them to your garden. Leave them offerings of milk and honey often so they know they are welcome, and they will return the favor by returning lost objects and helping to protect your property.

Mirror Work
Spell Date: Monday, May 7, 2018
Monday, moon day, is a great day to work with illusion, emotions, and fertility and to do mirror work, as the silver of the mirror is like the shiny surface of the moon. Combine all of these into a mirror based self-acceptance spell.
Look deeply into your own eyes, saying:
“I see all that I am, have been, and can be.
I look at the creases beside my eyes. I live, learn,
and grow from every experience.”
Look at the lines around your mouth and say:
“I laugh and smile, enjoying life.”
Look at your lips and say:
“I taste the deliciousness
of a life well lived.”
Look at your ears and say:
“I hear the words of love,
praise, and affirmation.”
Look at the center of your forehead (where your third eye is) and say:
“I honor my sacred spiritual path.”
Now take your hands and cradle your face. Then say:
“I am blessed as I am,
worthy and wonderful. Me.”

Heartwings Love Notes 827: Being Kind to your Mother
Heartwings says, “She is kind to us so being kind to Mother Earth is only fair.”
When we call our planet Mother Earth we are speaking the literal truth. Although our bodies grew inside and were birthed by a human mother, the elements that comprise it are derived from the substance of earth. The mother of us all, whether as individuals or collectively, is our planet. One of the names of our mother is Gaia. There are many who believe she is a living entity in which, along with every other living thing-animate or inanimate, we are cells.
As her children it behooves us to treat our mother the earth with respect. Not everyone looks at Earth this way. Some believe that humanity is privileged and can take what ever they wish from her substance for their own benefit. They do not treat our mother with respect. Taking advantage of her bounty they use it without regard for its possible limits or parameters. Pollution by virtue of pesticides, over fishing, strip mining, and other common practices injure the health of our planet. People who respect their mother do not act in ways that cause her harm.
Individuals who care can make a difference. Daily acts no matter how seemingly small and insignificant, can accumulate. There is a true story to the effect that when the majority of monkeys isolated on an island began washing their food that the practice spread to other islands, communicated somehow through a sense of consciousness. It is said that when enough people act in certain ways that it can influence the actions of others even without their seeing or hearing of it. What I have been thinking about is ways in which actions of convenience to us are ways we take advantage of our mother earth.
If I leave the water running when I brush my teeth I don’t need to turn the faucet on and off, yet that wastes water. If I take the car somewhere within walking distance or speed when driving I waste fuel. The ocean is polluted with plastic drinking straws! What ever happened to the paper ones I grew up with? Many towns are banning the use of throwaway plastic bags. They are easily replaced with reusable cloth or disintegrating paper. I just need to remember to take my cloth bags from the car. Doing things the easy may be hurtful to our mother earth. On Mothers’ Day and always I am working to remember to be kind to her.
May you find many ways to show your love for our mother.
Blessings and Best Regards, Tasha Halpert
P.S. How do you show your love for Gaia? Write and tell me, I do so love to hear from readers. Tasha Halpert <tashahal@gmail.com>

The Cat from Tomorrow Part 2
Beth pulled into her carport. She smiled at Mookie. “I hope you’re not hungry. I don’t know about you but I’m never hungry when I’m excited.”
Mookie meowed. He stretched across the seat and put his head on her lap and began to purr. He followed Beth into her tidy ranch house and began sniffing everything.
She smiled and unpacked his belongings: his litter box, kitty litter, two catnip squeak toys, a lightweight plastic Spider Man model baseball bat, a bag of ping pong balls and a small child’s size official Red Sox baseball cap Joann had bought from him for Christmas. Next came his pedigree documents replete with official seals and a folded parchment in a language she couldn’t fathom.
Dubiously she said, “Can you hit those ping pong balls with that toy bat?”
Mookie responded by jumping onto his hind legs and curling his tail around the bat. Then he twisted his body menacingly swinging his bat
Beth laughed and took two ping-pong balls from the bag. She tossed him one underhanded. Mookie swished his tail hitting the ball out of the kitchen into the dining room, landing on her redwood table. She thought she heard a voice say “faster.”
Impatiently he waved his bat waiting for her next pitch.
This time she threw one as fast as she could. Mookie swung hitting the ball even farther than the first time.
“Wow,” she said. “You’re good. I’ll bet you could do this all day.”
Mookie purred. “Yes,” she heard,
“I think you need better competition than me.” She took her phone and called her friend Greg, a chiropractor and naturopath with a black belt in a fancy martial art she couldn’t pronounce.
“Hi, what’s up?” His usual sardonic impatience.
“Could you come over? I’d like you to meet Mookie.”
“Mookie who?”
“My new cat. He’s a Seal point Siamese. Joann gave him to me because she finally found out she’s definitely allergic to cat hair.”
“She gave you that priceless Siamese? What’s wrong with it? I hope you don’t get saddled with vet bills.”
“He seems pretty healthy to me. Plus he can hit ping-pong balls with his plastic Spider Man bat.”
“You’re kidding.”
Beth laughed. “Come over and see. I’ll call out for pizza for supper.”
“Didn’t she once say that her cat could talk? But I don’t think anyone believed her.”
” I think he sends telepathic messages. At least that’s what it seems like to me. Maybe that’s what she meant.”
Then she distinctly heard a voice say, “More than that.”
“I think I just heard him say something. Either that or someone else is here who’s invisible.”
“Are you ok? Is working at Wiggles causing you excessive stress?” His voice reflected his usual concern.
“Of course I’m ok. And don’t think I’m delusional either. Mookie’s a very special, magical cat. I doubt there’s anything he can’t do.”
“Sure, maybe he can run back punts for the Patriots.”
“You’ll see. And you don’t have to be sarcastic about a cat you really don’t know very well.”
“Ok, ok. I’ll be over.”
Mookie meowed. When she hung up he asked. “Your boyfriend?”
“Just a very good friend,” she said. “Devoted to his healing work and to his martial arts. We’ve known each other a long time.”
Mookie curled his tail around his plastic bat. Then she heard. “Please, just a few more swings.” He stood on his hind legs waving his bat.
Beth grinned. “Let’s see if you can hit a real fastball.”
Mookie swung driving the pitch across the kitchen hitting the dining room window that fortunately was open. It bounced against the screen.”
“”Wow,” Beth said. “Home run. You’re really good. “Let’s see if this time I can fool you with a knuckle ball.”
Then she heard, “Never.” Mookie went into his batters crouch. He swished his tail from the right side and looked intently at Beth.
She tried putting some sort of drop on her pitch.
Mookie swung and hit it all the way across her living room landing in an easy chair.
“I’m impressed,” She showed genuine amazement. How’d you learn to bat so well?”
Mookie meowed and ran over to the TV. He stood up on his back legs and with his paw pushed the on switch. When it came on he changed the channel to the one that featured the Red Sox.
“No wonder. So you like watching baseball.”
He meowed and ran back to his bat.
Beth laughed. ” So Joann turns on PBS and when she’s gone you change the channel to the Red Sox. That’s brilliant.”
She heard Greg pull into her driveway. He came in through the kitchen. “So this is Mookie. “I’d heard Joann talk about him but we’ve never met.”
Mookie eyed him and quietly meowed. Then he sniffed but kept his distance.
“Believe me he can hit anything I throw him. Plus it seems like I can hear him speak.”
“A very versatile feline,” Greg said. “You say he can talk and hit home runs. Next thing you’ll tell me is that he can do your taxes for you.”
“Very funny,” she smiled. “Go ahead, throw him a few pitches and see for yourself what happens. Meanwhile I’ll order some pizza.”
“Ok,” Greg said. “Let’s see if you can hit a curve ball. He took a ping-pong ball and waited for Mookie to pick up his bat. But Mookie had other ideas and scampered away down the hallway.
“Persnickety, ” Greg said. “Or maybe you can’t hit something a guy throws you.”
But Mookie didn’t take his bait. Instead he ran back into the living room and jumped on the couch.
A few minutes later the pizza arrived. While Beth and Greg enjoyed a veggie pizza with extra cheese, Mookie finished the shrimp primavera Joann had made him for breakfast.
Beth smiled and shook her head. “I guess I’ll have to start cooking for him,” she said. “Apparently he doesn’t eat cat food.”

Honoring the Goddess; A Tribute To Moms
The Goddess, is the “goodness” in all women! Historically, the feminine form or “Triple Goddess”, is based on ancient goddess triads and the three forms (aspects) a woman takes throughout her life. No matter which transition she is experiencing (maiden, mother, crone), it is a nice time to bring awareness to the “nurturing energy” in your life.
Honor your mother or a mother you know. Here are some wonderful ways to send loving energy:
1. Light a candle to honor a mother who is living or who has passed.
2. Use a simple ritual to bring love and honor to yourself as a mother, or to give thanks to mother earth.
3. Pay homage to your mother through the power of scent with affirmation candles, an essential oil sampler or our sacred anointing oils. Below is a list of oils that may be appropriate:
Jasmine: is a bold, sweet scent. Jasmine is the greatest aphrodisiac of all. These night blooming flowers are picked at their height to bring out one of the most sexy scents. Associated throughout history with the compassionate Goddess of the Moon, Jasmine, grown along the Nile in ancient Egypt, is represented Isis, the Egyptian Mother Goddess who held the secrets of fertility, magic and healing.
Patchouli: is a sweet, earthy scent. Its smell is intense and spicy. From an energetic point of view, Patchouli, like Jasmine, is warm and yet anti-inflammatory in action. It combines a calmative property with a gentle stimulating effect that uplifts the spirit! Patchouli is a sweet and grounding harmonizing fragrance!
Neroli: is distilled from bitter orange trees. It has a refreshing, spicy aroma and is known for its sensual, exotic effect. Neroil oil is emotionally unifying and soothes with harmonizing effects. Described as both sensual and spiritual, Neroli helps to restablish the link between a disconnected mind and body. Neroli paves the way for a gradual release and allows us to recall hope and joy!
Ylang Ylang: is a rich fragrant oil that means “flowers of flowers”. A scent to perfume the body or use for an euphoric massage. Ylang Ylang is relaxing and euphoric. The ecstatic sense of merging is inherent in Ylang Ylang. Like Jasmine, this oil helps to reunite our emotional and sensual natures, aspects of our being that need to contain each other and unite.
Rose: The Mother of All Flowers, the Rose has amazing powers of love, trust and self acceptance. Roses are representative of faith, hope and love and has the qualities to restore the very center of one’s being. A gentle tonic of the heart, the compassion of the Rose is seen through it’s ability to heal emotional wounds. When loss, rejection or sorrow has injured our capacity for nurturing and self love, Rose oil brings a sweet and gentle comfort, binding the “heart strings” from the Heart to the Mind. Rose oil’s psychological properties lie mainly in its effect on the mind, the center of our emotional being. Rose oil calms and supports the heart and helps to nourish the soul
4. Treat your mom to an at home spa session.
5. Invite your mom to enjoy a special seasonal tea blend, created just for her.
The Goddess Tea Recipe
Add (one teaspoon per cup, plus one “for the pot”) each of any (3) of the following loose leaf teas:
~Rose buds
~Lavender buds
~Orange peel
~Cardamom
~Anise
~Chamomile
Measure the amount of fresh water into the saucepan and place over medium heat. Heat the water until it just comes to a rolling boil. Over-boiling removes too much oxygen, imparting a flat taste to the tea.
Add the tea to a warmed steeping pot. Immediately pour the boiled water over the loose leaves; cover the pot.
Steep three to five minutes for most teas; longer, to taste. Also be sure and steep the herbs longer for the teas made from sticks, twigs, roots or berries, as well as, herbal infusions.
Ready to serve? Pour tea through a strainer, into each cup. Serve!
6. Consider making her a unique “soundtrack” in honor of who she is. Choose and create music that reminds you of your mom!
7. DIY,do it yourself and create an extra special and unique gift basket designed just for her. You can gear it toward the celebration and your budget! Remember, the look of abundance is the key.
8. Honor your mom with the gift of crystals. Below is a list of great stones to honor the Goddess:
Amethyst:
The stone of spirituality and dream recall. Used for contentment and meditation. Provides common sense and flexibility in decisions. Strengthens and enhances psychic abilities, imagery and mind quieting. Wear when sleeping or when awake to reduce anger, impatience, and nightmares. Most effective on the Brow and Crown Chakra. Amethyst contains the grounding color of red with the energy of blue, which is expanding, spacious and flow of peace. Amethyst is the color that you see in the sky as twilight transitions into night. Amethyst takes you on this transition from the magic time of dusk to a conscious shift into a different place. Crossing this threshold is the lesson of humility, which Amethyst can teach us. This stone can show us how to let go and trust; surrender so that you may see beyond the cycle that consumes your attention; give it all up, so that you can receive more; and bow, that you may become a part of the greater whole.. Amethyst is considered a Master Healing stone.
Azurite:
Referred to as the jewel of wisdom or Stone of Heaven.. Azurite symbolizes insight and discovery. It is said to increase psychic abilities. Azurite activates the Brow and Throat Chakra for more assertive communication and alertness. It allows for quite, deep access to the subconscious and as a seeing stone offers access to other times, places and lives.. Therefore, it is a great stone to assist in astral travel. This great balancer helps those who talk too much and allows for those who to be expressive when they have a tendency to hold back. This opens our psychic intuition and gets us acquainted with our inner-selves. It is a stone that stimulates creativity, giving access to a fountain of ideas, images and awareness of things around us.
Moonstone:
This stone honors the Goddess in all women. This stone helps women (and men) to be more comfortable with their gentler feminine/yin receiving side. This stone is also an excellent remedy for overly aggressive females or for men who need to connect to their more feminine/emotional side. What is Déjà Vu and Why Do We Experience It?
from OMTimes Digital eZine
Déjà vu is a French expression, which means “already seen, “It is commonly used to indicate a phenomenon that happens in the brain. The term was used for the first time by Emile Boirac, a researcher of psychological phenomena.
It is a word also used in the manuals of neurology, psychology, and biology, assuming several meanings. However, there are different dubious theories, such as those of past lives, supernatural appearances, and common sense, that appear to mystify the phenomenon.
So Déjà vu is when we feel something for the first time, and we have the sensation of having already seen or experienced that sensation before, or rather, it is a replay of some scene or moment, but that never happened.
Déjà vu arises when a specific memory, for some unknown reason, goes to memory in the long run, without passing through the memory in the short term. Some scientists believe that this phenomenon is triggered by a neurochemical action in the brain, which is not connected to any past experience.
Freud’s explanations help us understand Déjà vu, he states: “All phenomena within the psyche are determined, that is, as long as we investigate, we will find the cause of associations. External phenomena, on the other hand, are a mixture of other causes and accidents. In other words, what happens outside of us will not necessarily mean anything. ”
These assumptions confirm the explanation that Déjà vu manifests itself in a psychological reaction to the transmission of ideas that we have been in those places before, that we have already seen those people, but not knowing for sure where, how and when we live in such a situation. Freud sums up: “In succinct terms, Déjà vu’s feeling corresponds to the memory of an unconscious fantasy.”
Thus, psychoanalysis understands that Déjà Vu is that content which is felt by consciousness, which is an unconscious content that, at another moment, passed through knowledge in a dream or in daily fantasy. Because of repression, content is no longer available to knowledge, except when it happens.
Déjà vu occurs in about 60% of the world population, as a vision of the future, since the phenomenon occurs only in exact moments, and never in previous situations, that lasts from 10 to 30 seconds and soon submerge.
One example is the 23-year-old British man who has experienced episodes of déjà vu for eight years, a frequency that has intrigued scientists. The researchers doubt that the problem has been triggered by excessive anxiety. The young man had to avoid watching television, listening to the radio and reading newspapers, because he always had the feeling of having lived those stories before.
At last Déjà vu is an experience based on the various types of memory, such as direct memory, a short memory that lasts a few hours and mind of the near future, lasting for months or even years, thus giving the sensation that the fact already occurred earlier.
To understand the functioning of déjà-vu, researchers at the University of St. Andrews in Great Britain decided to proceed with a groundbreaking experiment in trying to “provoke” this sensation of replay in the laboratory. After all, in a typical situation, there is no way to predict when the Déjà vu sensation will occur, which made it difficult for scientists to analyze the brain reactions involved in the process
To the surprise of the researchers, the brain mapping of the participants showed that déjà-vu sensation activated the frontal areas of the brain, which are areas involved in the decision-making process. Initially, they anticipated that regions associated with memory, such as the hippocampus, would be activated with the Deja vu. But that did not happen.
This means that the phenomenon is not a replay, but the brain showing that the “memory check” system is working well and that you are unlikely to forget something or confuse past events.

The New Moon
The New Moon on May 15 is in Taurus. This Moon is shining the light on what you love and value. When you align your goals with your core values, this promotes your success.
The Taurus Moon is reminding you to take life slow. Be patient. Do not be in a hurry.
Your power is in the choices you make today and every day. Your future is determined by it. Your freedom and joy is in your ability to live in alignment with your true values. What you love and value is unique to you. It makes you what you are. What you are in truth is far more important than what you do. The world defines you by what you do. This is too limiting. Who and what you are is much more interesting. This is finding the Real You!
Pay attention to important insights that come to you now. The Creator is talking to you. You can gain wisdom now for your life. There are times to take action. There are times to wait and listen. Trust your intuition. Trust your instincts. This is not the time to push. Flow with the energy and see where it takes you. Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.
Moon Manifestation
The new moon is a time of initiation and new beginnings. It is the time to plant a seed of what you want to grow in your life. Making a wish, an intention, a promise, or a vow is a common custom
Keep in mind that our words and thoughts are vibrations so any intentions stated or written down carry power, so take care to really manifest exactly what you would like by feeling that vibration. The moon has her phases and so do we, that is why it is always good to think it through to become clear about what you want.
Set your New Moon Intentions in Motion
” Cleanse your sacred area with an Opening Prayer; use the White Light, and by burning some incense.
” Light one or more candles, have your favorite crystals with you. Have anything you consider sacred with you.
” Center and calm yourself. Take some deep cleansing breaths. Play music that is peaceful and meditative.
Have a notebook handy and Begin writing down your desires. Write out what you want to manifest during the next month. These goals can range from small to big. Do not limit yourself. Sometimes obtaining the smaller goals helps you have confidence that you can manifest the bigger goals.
Now close your eyes and imagine what it would feel like to attain your desires and goals. Make sure to not come from the place of feeling the “wanting” part but really feel as if you have already achieved those moments and goals, picture what that feels like.
In this notebook you can also use it as a manifestation scrapbook or make a vision board where you can paste in pictures or catalog clippings of items that you want to manifest. You will soon be amazed how these things begin to find their way into your life once you start this process.
During the month when an item on your new moon list comes to you, feel free to cross it off!
Be Blessed. Be safe. Be well. You are loved. All Are One. And so it is
New Moon blessings,

15th May New Moon In Taurus: Tarot Reading + New Moon Candle Spell
Ah, the New Moon. I love New Moons an ideal time to start a fresh cycle of manifestation and forward thinking. On the 15th May 2018 we have a New Moon in the Sun sign of Taurus. Taurus is an excellent sign for New Moon manifestation. Taurus is connected with progress, planning, and always reaching the finishing line even if it is at a slower pace. Taurus also rules the second house of money, wealth, what we own and income.
What is a New Moon?
It’s the time when a new cycle starts over again, the first Luna phase. The Sun and the Moon are inline, they are on opposite sides of the Earth.
How can I uplift myself spiritually during a New Moon
If the New Moon is in your Sun sign you’ve already stepped into your personal power, take hold of it and manifest, work on or plan for what your heart desires over the next seven day period. Check your horoscope and see if there are any indications of key power dates in the month also. If the New Moon is not in your sign, you can still see this as a fresh new period, everything is new. The new energy is an ideal time to think about forward movement.
You can also take this time to ‘banish’ anything that was bothering you under the last Moon phase. Simply do a cleansing and banishing candle magic spell. You’ll need:
A new white candle, any size or length.
A piece of paper to write your petition on. Traditionally in Hoodoo magick a brown paper bag is used. A white piece will do just fine.
A black pen. Permanent if you have one.
A heat proof bowl or ashtray.
Some cleansing incense something with sage, clove, peppermint or frankincense in. (Optional).
Light your incense. Tear off a small piece of paper, don’t make it even it can have jagged edges not a perfect square.
Using a black pen write down everything that has bothered you over the last month, or that you wish to banish or rid yourself of. Any stress write it down or just the name or key words. Sign it with your name and date of birth.
Light your white candle.
Fold your paper in half AWAY FROM YOU as you want to remove it, turn it anti-clock wise to the left and fold AWAY FROM YOU until the paper is small enough to write your name and date of birth on.
Say your intention or words into the candle flame out loud, state what you wish to banish and remove. Finish off with ‘ you are banished and no longer bother me.’
Light the corner of the paper in the flame, place the burning paper in a heat proof dish, or ash try to let it burn out. Place the dish and ashes outside once burned out and let the worries be blown away by the wind… start your New Moon with happy vibes!

Which Zodiac Signs Are a Love Match?
Dating Tips Depending on Sun Signs
Some zodiac signs have more love chemistry than others. Here are the 12 zodiac signs, along with a breakdown of which other zodiac signs to keep an eye out for to find a love match.
Aries
Aries is aroused by other Fire signs (Leo and Sagittarius). When it comes to relationships, Aries are passionate, daring, and sometimes selfish. If egos don’t go supernova, the Aries-Leo match grows into mutual adoration.
The Aries-Sagittarius couple hits the ground running and thrives with common goals. Aries stays inspired with the uplifting currents of air signs (Libra, Aquarius, Gemini).
Aries men are ruled by Mars, hence the masculine and often sparring persona. When it comes to finding a significant other, Aries men want a counterpart that can hold their own when it comes to an argument. Similarly, Aries women are risk takers and physical. Drawn to confident alphas, she loves a partner who can draw out her more feminine side.
If you’re taking an Aries out on a first date, make sure it’s not boring. Aries love a challenge and newness excites them.
Taurus
The bull sign, Taurus takes it slow and easy with other Earth signs (Capricorn and Virgo). But Capricorn would be wise not to get bossy with the bull. Same goes for Virgo, who has the tendency to critique. Taurus feels at home with water signs, which help to bring out the bull’s cuddly nature.
Other fixed signs (Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) attract Taurus and can lead to pairings of love and “divine” struggle together.
Taurus men are prone to routine and enjoy thoughts of settling down. While this can mean he is stubborn, it also means he is a provider. Again, Taurus is a fixed sign, so Taurus women will want stability in their life and relationships.
Taurus women are affiliated with Venus, so they enjoy sensory experiences and being in the moment. Good first date ideas for Taurus women might be going to a place with strong colors and smells, like a garden in bloom.
Gemini
Gemini is the sign of twins. When it comes to love and relationships, Gemini finds the mental stimulation it craves from other air signs (Libra and Aquarius). The fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) keep Gemini from becoming bored and promise a lifetime of spontaneity.
Gemini men are ruled by Mercury, the god of messengers. That’s why he enjoys being on the move, being a part of a network, and consistently checking his phone or email for messages. If you’re looking to date a Gemini man, you may have to overlook his flirtatious side and tendency to date multiple people at once. To impress him on a first date, consider doing something in constant motion, like taking a walk or a bike ride.
If you are about to start dating a Gemini Woman, she will want someone who will adore her as well as keep her on her toes. Gemini women can be nervous, so you may experience random chit chat to fill the silence or less eye contact than normal.
Cancer
The crab sign, Cancer feels emotionally understood with the other water signs (Scorpio and Pisces).
Earth signs live at a slower rhythm, which appeals to Cancer, who is often just as security-oriented.
Cancer men are more on the sensitive side and need someone who can nurture them. He often has many female friends for that reason. Cancer women are shy at first and can be hard to crack. A first date that she may feel more comfortable with could be a movie or a concert. That way there is constantly another activity to focus on rather than just having her being the center of your attention. Here are other tips for dating a Cancer.
Leo
The lion sign, a Leo has feline characteristics. They indulge in lounging around leisurely for long periods of time, but when they are inspired or excited they will quickly move to action. A Leo in love rises to the challenge of burning with other Fire signs (Aries and Sagittarius).
But the Leo pride could be deflated if Aries loses interest and Sagittarius takes a too casual approach. A Leo-Aquarius match makes sense and throws the door wide open to a lifetime of growth. Leo-Taurus has friction, but this combo can thrive, as there is a shared sensuality and enjoyment of the finer things in life.
Leo men are showy and care more about how their counterpart looks and if they have a style. Leo women tend to have big personalities and are loyal. She will be able to see through you immediately if you are being insincere.
Virgo
As a virgin sign, Virgos focus on devotion and daily rhythm. Other Earth signs (Capricorn and Taurus) support these earnest traits. Virgo doesn’t mind playing helpmate to Capricorn or building beauty alongside Taurus. But Virgo needs to keep from being weighed down, a danger of being with another earth sign. The Virgo-Cancer combo brings two worriers together, but both cherish the little habits in lifestyle. Many a Virgo ends up with Pisces for a match that draws them into the emotional depths.
When it comes to dating a Virgo man, don’t expect an instantaneous click. Virgo men are wary of love and can exercise a lot of emotional self-restraint. If you need some ideas, here are some tips on attracting a Virgo man. Dating a Virgo woman similarly requires a deal of patience, as they are totally happy with living a solo life.
Libra
When it comes to love, Libra veers toward other bright minds like Gemini and Aquarius. As the scales sign, Libra values justice, the arts, intellect, and inner balance.
But Libra may think a Gemini frivolous or too talkative, and Aquarius might be too rigid in their own views. When a Libra meets the other cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn), they’ll be faced with frictions that make them giddy with relationship challenges. For these pairs to work, you’ll have to understand the different ways you take charge. There are Libra-Libra pairs in abundance, since both love Love.
When a Libra man finds a partner he adores, he will devote himself to the relationship spending every waking moment with his significant other. You can read more about what a Libra man wants. A Libra woman loves romance and elegance. Keep that in mind when planning dates.
Scorpio
The scorpion sign, Scorpio merges swimmingly with other water signs (Cancer and Pisces). But actually, Scorpios love match with each Zodiac sign. Scorpios in love will need to trust enough for true emotional revelation in order to experience the intimacy they crave. The Scorpio-Taurus match creates a duo with the power to build an empire. The Scorpio-Scorpio couple has to fight (literally) to keep from imploding, but they can work out most things in the bedroom.
When it comes to winning the Scorpio man, he is drawn to a femme fatale type. Being in a relationship with a Scorpio man can be filled with a lot of drama. Scorpio women love with intensity, maybe to the extent of being possessive. When starting a relationship, she will dive deep in uncovering who you are and your desires and regrets.
Sagittarius
Sagittarius is the archer sign, which means they are a wandering soul and are always in search of a goal to focus on. A traveler, Sagittarius can find friendship and love anywhere they go. In terms of relationships, Sagittarius admires the spark of other fire signs (Aries and Leo). The Sagittarius-Gemini couple star in their own action adventures and are best friends, as well as lovers. Aquarius understands Sagittarius’ independence. The Sagittarius can find an unspoken understanding with any of the Earth signs (Capricorn, Virgo, or Taurus). With all these compatible relations, Sagittarius is known as the “friend of the Zodiac” in more ways than one.
To win over a Sagittarius man, be playful and funny to match his naturally happy and spirited disposition. In wooing the restless Sagittarius woman, share your adventure stories and be authentic. First date ideas for a Sagittarius should involve a lot of movement, especially as Sagittariuses tend to be athletes. Maybe go on a hike or a mini-adventure out of town.
Capricorn
As the goat sign, Capricorn is drawn to the other Earth signs (Virgo and Taurus). But a Capricorn in love could get restless with these two and seek out relationships with more edge. Like in life, Capricorn is an achiever when it comes to romance. Other cardinal signs (Cancer, Libra, and Aries) offer that coveted brass ring. The Capricorn-Aquarius match has a cool dignity that gives each plenty of emotional space.
The Capricorn man is natural about sex and in tune with physical attraction. Capricorn women are initiators and confident when it comes to love. When dating a Capricorn, the first few dates can be like mini-tests.
Aquarius
Aquarius, the water bearer, wants both love and freedom, and the other air signs (Gemini and Libra) are good prospects. An Aquarius in love can have unpredictable behavior, which makes the dating game that much trickier. The rebel Aquarius balks at Libra’s people-pleasing ways, and they might find Gemini too all over the place. The Aquarius-Leo match foretells many interesting puzzles to unravel over time. A Virgo or Capricorn can bring the Aquarius down to earth, but without forcing too much togetherness. True to form, Aquarians will likely surprise everyone with the mate they choose.
Affiliated with Uranus, the Aquarius man is drawn to the unexpected and loves quirks and spontaneity. When it comes to making conversation, avoid personal questions at first. An Aquarius woman is open when it comes to relationships and is not too concerned with labels. Here are some more Aquarius love tips.
Pisces in Love
The fish sign, Pisces is cherished as an enigma with the other water signs (Cancer and Scorpio). The Pisces-Virgo pair allows the drifter to find a piece of land to settle on and lifts Virgo up from the mundane to see life from a more lofty perspective. A Pisces-Pisces affair could lead to total oneness, but they should make sure they have a separate life, too.
With the air of an artist, Pisces men tend to be sentimental and quiet. Similarly, Pisces women are all mystery at first. To win her over, don’t come on too strong and be flexible. When it comes to a Pisces in love, here are more tips on dating and first impressions.
Love Chemistry and the Elements
Some sign combinations are naturally harmonious. One traditional rule is that there’s an easy rapport between sun signs of the same element.
The four elements are:
Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
Earth (Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo)
Air (Libra, Aquarius, Gemini)
Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)
There are also natural love connections between sun signs of harmonious elements. These are fire-air and earth-water.
But harmony is not what it’s all about. It’s also about compelling forces that attract, with tensions that work their magic on us in mysterious ways. That’s why as love (or entanglement) takes hold, it’s wise to suss out the whole birth chart.
Mother
By Madisyn Taylor
The role of a mother is infinitely complex and one of pure tenderness, compassion, and unflagging loyalty
Mothers throughout history have been worshiped, revered, analyzed and even criticized. Every one of us was created through the wondrous workings of a woman’s body; each of us has a mother. But being a mother is more than a biological concept. In India, women who are profoundly nurturing, compassionate, and wise are publicly acknowledged by the title “Holy Mother.” Those who have never met their biological mothers often have mothers nonetheless in adoptive parents, relations, and friends. There are human mothers and spiritual mothers, Mother Earth, and mother goddesses. The role of a mother is infinitely complex and one of pure tenderness, compassion, and unflagging loyalty. The mother represents fertility, stability, creation, and sacrifice.
Our mothers determine who we become because they are not only the life givers, but the most influential person in our young lives. Before we are old enough to understand that influence, mothers give us the beginnings of our spirituality and value systems. A mother lauds accomplishment and ignores minor faults, she both teaches and shields her children from misfortune, and hides her own tears, preferring to laugh so her children can laugh with her. She is both a sharer of grief and a healer of many pains. And every mother gives of herself knowing that someday her progeny will leave her. For these reasons and more, motherhood is a sacred institution, not limited by narrow constraints. It is also not unusual to seek the guidance of a mother in a wise woman or a grandmother because each woman is taught to be a mother by her own mother, whether she chooses to have children or not. Other ways to see Mother is to find a source of motherly nurturing in the earth, which gives us so much and demands little in return. Earth mother continually blesses us with her bounty and we are even born and eventually go back to the universal mother
The definition is necessarily broad because mothers of all types exist in part to put a smooth veneer on the rough edges of life for those they love. A mother never stops growing, never stops becoming more motherly. Though some may argue that a mother is a woman who gives life with her womb and nourishment with her breast, it is important to remember that a mother, any mother, is also one who gives life with her tenderness and nourishment with her love.
