Light A Candle Today!
In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

Llewellyn’s Spell a Day

Hot Wax Divination
Spell Date: Sunday, November 25, 2018

This simple divination technique originated in Eastern Europe. It’s easy to use. You’ll need a new white candle, some olive oil, and a dark-colored bowl or cauldron filled with water.

First, using a drop of olive oil, “dress” your candle. To do this, rub a bit of olive oil between your hands, then rub the candle. Begin in the center and rub toward the wick. Next, start in the center and rub toward the bottom of the candle. Your candle is ready.

Think of a question you want answered. Light the candle. Tilt the candle so three drops of wax drop into the bowl/cauldron filled with water. Snuff out the candle. When the drops of wax harden, “read” their shapes to answer your question. Interpret them as best you can. You’ll get better at it the more you do this. The candle may be used again for magic.

Post and Pre – Holiday Detox
Spell Date: Saturday, November 24, 2018

Whether or not you celebrated Thanksgiving a couple of days ago, today is an excellent day for a detoxifying cleanse. In addition to balancing out any past food-related extravagances, we can also do this with the intention to help us make balanced and healthy choices in the famously decadent month ahead.

As soon as you wake up, light a white candle anointed with essential oil of peppermint. Center yourself and take some deep, cleansing breaths, bringing fresh, invigorating white light into your entire body and your every cell. Throughout the day, drink at least half your body weight in ounces of pure water. Abstain from all sweeteners, refined flours (whole grains are fine), dairy products, alcohol, and coffee (tea is fine). Also go light on the fruit juice, although have as much whole fruit and vegetable juice as you like. And, of course, go big on the vegetables, herbs, spices, beans, and nuts.

Manipulating Time
Spell Date: Friday, November 23, 2018

The very first episode of Doctor Who aired in Britain on this day in 1963. We’re all time lords in our own way, and even if you’re unfamiliar with this TV series, you can prove this to yourself. Ever notice how time seems to speed up when you’re enjoying yourself but slow down when you’re bored? You can use that phenomenon to stretch and fold time, and you won’t need a TARDIS to do it!

If you need to slow time down, just envision the earth slowing as it turns. Of course, this won’t actually stop the clock—a minute is a minute is a minute! What it will do is influence the perception of time so that everyone’s awareness allows them to get more done in less time. If you need to accelerate time, focus on the earth’s rotation speeding up. It sounds oversimplified, but it does work!

Give Thanks
Spell Date: Thursday, November 22, 2018

The American holiday for giving thanks is a powerful day for abundance even if you don’t live in the United States. Millions of people are celebrating their thankfulness today, and this power is sent out into the universe. If you don’t live in the US, make sure to still spend some time today being thankful for all you have been given.

For those who do live in the US, be sure to leave an offering to your deities for your thankfulness for your abundance. Remind yourself that not everyone has everything they need. Invite someone who doesn’t have a place to go to share in your day.

This day also starts the “giving season.” Look into opportunities to volunteer or share your abundance with others, but keep in mind that while many charities get help at this time of year, help is needed all year long. Keep the spirit of giving thanks alive throughout the year.

Purification Shower Bath
Spell Date: Wednesday, November 21, 2018

A lot of pre-ritual instructions advise taking a bath to cleanse the body and spirit of any disharmonious energy. Many adults with hectic schedules are not used to taking a bath and only have time for a quick shower. Others don’t really care for baths and prefer to shower exclusively. Sometimes a cleansing shower doesn’t feel as thorough to me, so I like to combine the two to get the best of both options.

If you run a shower and leave the drain plug in, the bathtub will slowly fill with water. Pour a cup of Epsom salts, a cup of regular salt, and a cup of lemon juice into the tub, and as it fills, you basically create a purification mixture that pulls out any unwanted energies through your legs and feet. Just watch the water level so that you can drain the tub before it overflows.

Dinner with Ebisu
Spell Date: Tuesday, November 20, 2018

The twentieth day of every month is special to the Japanese god Ebisu. Ebisu is a god of luck, commerce, and good business. Business people hold lavish luncheons featuring a large altar to Ebisu. Upon entering the luncheon, each attendee places an offering on the altar before an image of Ebisu.

Ebisu also attempts to ensure that people act fairly in business deals. We ourselves may not be able to hold this ceremonial lunch at our place of employment. However, we can honor the gods of business at dinnertime in our homes in an adaptation of this celebration.

Erect an altar to the business gods, and include an image of Ebisu to honor his inspiration. Have each member of the household place an offering upon the table, along with something from their field of employment, perhaps their business card or a related tool or implement. Ask for the gods’ blessings upon your endeavors.

Passion Pot
Spell Date: Monday, November 19, 2018

Scorpio energy is intense—not unlike Isabella, the heroine of John Keats’s poem “The Pot of Basil.” Isabella keeps her passion alive by burying the head of her murdered lover in a pot of basil, a lusty plant.

Draw on Scorpio’s brooding intensity and basil’s power of passion by growing a pot of basil for magical use. Before you plant your basil, cleanse and charge a piece of rose quartz (heart-shaped, if possible). Put some soil in the base of the pot, then nestle in the rose quartz with these words:

“Basil, sweet, intense in flavor,
Drink deep the love that is my favor.
Seep into root and leaf and stem
For when I need it, now and then.”

Isabella watered her basil with tears. You can as well, but regular or moon charged water will do. Incorporate your basil into recipes and any spells that call for passion—but use sparingly!

Heartwings Love Notes 855: A Recipe for Gratitude

Heartwings says, “The Practice of gratitude is a vital ingredient of a happy life.”

The perspective I bring to my everyday life influences the way I understand what is happening, and how I respond to what seems to me to be going on. When I look with compassion on how life has evolved for someone, I also feel differently about how they act toward me or anyone else. I may then see the gift they may bring me. Gratitude and compassion are closely intertwined.

The gift of a difficult person or experience may simply be one of patience practice. Compassion helps me to be grateful for that. I wasn’t raised to be compassionate. My parents were highly critical of others. As I realized I needed to change and worked on developing compassion, I found it easier to respond to life and its lemons with gratitude. Being grateful for life’s lemons is a good way to make that lemonade as well to sweeten life. I have found it takes much practice to learn to respond automatically with an attitude reflecting gratitude.

Gratitude as a first response to whatever life hands to you is an important ingredient to build into one’s lifestyle. However as with the deliberate incorporation of any habit, time and effort are required. As I worked to develop my attitude of gratitude, I began by taking small steps. Over time I worked my way up to larger ones. Now it is easier than it used to be to remember to be grateful, regardless of the reasons or circumstances.

Right now I am extremely grateful that my new book, Up To My Neck In Lemons has been published. It is a collection of ways to use lemons both in recipes and in life. It contains my relevant poetry and most importantly some of my experiences in life that have helped me make the proverbial lemonade from the lemons I have encountered. It is my hope to help others with this book, and I am very thankful to those wonderful friends who have helped me to make my hope a reality.

May your lemons all make wonderful lemonade,

Blessings and Best Regards, Tasha Halpert

PS What are some of your lemons in life you have transformed into lemonade? I’d love to hear. Also, my book is available on Amazon and of course if you want a signed copy you can write to me at and let me know.

Witches Walk in the Dark and the Light (And Everywhere Else)
November 20, 2018 by Jason Mankey

I’m less and less sure these days just what exactly Witchcraft is. If you identify as a Witch, then you probably are a Witch. That sounds like an over simplification, but I think it’s generally true. Witches, however we define the term, do all sorts of things, and there’s no ONE THING that disqualifies a Witch or defines Witchcraft in general.

I find absolutes troubling in Witchcraft and Paganism in general. Not all Witches do X, or work with X, and to imply such things limits Witchcraft, and it limits the people who identify as Witches and practice Witchcraft. I get why people write and speak in absolutes, when you are passionate about your practice it’s easy to think everyone is doing it exactly like you do, but that’s rarely, if ever, the case. I’m a part of long standing tradition and I’m not sure we all even do things exactly the same.

A lot of Witches focus on things we often associate with the night, darkness, and death. I’ll admit that most of my rituals take place after the sun has set and that some of those rituals make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up (I don’t think we should trifle with deity), but with the exception of Samhain my rituals are almost never about death, or the dead. So when I read that “Witchcraft is about death, whether to harness an animal spirit or the power of personal transformation. Witches are not light workers. We are death walkers, wandering in the shadows where healing and true magick are found,” I can’t help but shake my head.

(And Cyndi Brennan over at Keeping Her Keys makes several really great points in the article I’m quoting here, and her passion for what she believes is joyous and infectious. But I think it speaks in absolutes that don’t work for all Witches. If you haven’t read it yet I urge you to do so, because she makes some great arguments, but there are points I obviously disagree with.)

Certainly Witchcraft can be about many of those things, and for many people it is. I think some of them are even in my coven, but it certainly isn’t about me or everyone that I know. I would never call myself a death walker, nor do I guide souls to the other side of the veil or receive messages from the deceased. For a variety of theological reasons such things have never even interested me.

For me, Witchcraft has always been about working magick (with myself or with the coven), honoring and growing closer to the deities that are a part of my life, and trying to become a better human being. When i think about how I raise energy (create magick) it’s almost always through natural means-my inner will, movement, chanting . . . I’ve never utilized a bone in a spell or worked with a spirit that I was aware of (animal or plant).

And out of all of those things that I do, I know many other Witches don’t do them, ever. There are atheist-Witches and Witches who look upon deities in vastly different ways than I do. There are some Witches who make skulls an important part of their altars and magickal practice, which is great. That’s all fine with me, practice how you practice, and I hope it’s as rewarding for you as my practice is to me.

I have no idea what a lightworker is, and I’ll admit that when I hear such a phrase part of me wants to giggle at the New Ageyness of it, but that’s shitty of me. If someone practices Witchcraft and also identifies as a lightworker as well that’s their business. How someone else practices Witchcraft generally has no impact on how I practice Witchcraft. And when I read that a lightworker:

“is anyone who devotes their life to being a bright light in the world. They understand that their actions (no matter how big or small) have the potential to raise the vibration of the planet. A Lightworker soul is awake, conscious that their presence matters and that they are part of something that is bigger than them.”

it reminds me of a lot of Witches. Many of you are a bright light in an otherwise shitty world, and most Witches understand that they are a part of something much bigger than themselves or just the Craft. If a Witch wants to identify with something of that nature who am I to tell them that they are wrong?

One of the strengths of Modern Witchcraft is how adaptable it is. That’s why it appeals to people who only practice outside in the light of day, and those that whisper to the dead in the still of night. No one has choose to one or the other, and most Witches I know probably do both. Magick can be found both in the shadows and in the light of day, and that’s an absolute I feel comfortable saying.

Incense Meditation
By Madisyn Taylor

Meditating with incense can offer many benefits; embers become shooting stars, and the silver ribbon of smoke becomes unraveled clouds.
When we focus on incense sticks during meditation, we move into a mystical space that is both physical and spiritual. Like us, the incense stick is earthbound with an ember that burns for only a finite time, but the diaphanous spirit it releases is unbound by time or space. Rather than shutting down our senses to focus on an inner realm, incense involves our senses as we follow whirling smoke upward and outward while we take its scent into us, filling us as we breathe.

The journey starts with a flame, and then a glowing ember releases smoke to rise above us in an ethereal dance. Ashes fall below, purified by the fire. We can use this to imagine negative thoughts being changed from darkness into the beauty of warm gray snowflakes and a scented spun-silver plume, lighter than air. We can watch as our atmosphere is altered to become reminiscent of the heavens and lifts our thoughts: Embers become shooting stars, and the silver ribbon of smoke becomes unraveled clouds. Altered senses may guide our inspired thoughts to travel along new, perhaps undiscovered, pathways.

We can also imagine our physical selves being represented by the incense stick, our inner fire releasing magic into the world. That part of us emanates outward, expanding to mingle with the breath of those around us as we ride the wind to become part of everything. We can also see in the swirling smoke our life’s path, not a straight line but a twirling, meandering ballet that moves us ever onward and upward. We may leave a bit of ourselves behind as we bounce off of our surroundings, working through them, but no matter what we do, we cannot avoid our final destination: oneness with all that is. As spiritual beings enjoying the physical experience of life, incense meditations can help us remember the beauty and wonder of our existence, where heaven and earth, body and spirit, are all available to us in every moment.

Pour all the ingredients into a crockpot and whisk together until well combined.

Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until mixture is hot and chocolate chips are melted. Whisk well before serving. Garnish as desired (which means MARSHMALLOWS of course!)

According to Amanda you can also make it with white chocolate, butterscotch, even mint chocolate chips. The possibilities here are endless! I’m thinking of maybe trying a salted caramel version… yum!

Urban Rider, 4 Conclusion

Nora looked exhausted. Her eyes were red and she was sniffling. “I’m never usually this tired.”
Howard smiled. “You look just like you did the day we married.”
“Flattery,” she chuckled “will get you everywhere. But not tonight.'” |She shook her head, tears filled her eyes. “Seeing myself as that gawky teenager depresses me. How could I ever have let myself look that way?”
Howard smiled. “But that was then and better not to bring the past into the present.” He noticed she seemed considerably thinner. Was she secretly dieting?
“Sometimes a flip philosophical comment only hurts. I’m feeling terribly sensitive. Obviously your day on your rider was memorable.”
“I can’t explain what happened other than say it took me back in time. I was actually there in Gettysburg when Abraham Lincoln delivered his Address. Then swooped into a box seat at Yankee Stadium. I actually got to see Babe Ruth hit a home run.” He yawned. “Took a lot out of me. I’m still exhausted, but wow what a trip.”
She frowned and wondered where the tic under his left eye had come from. It wasn’t there at breakfast. “I don’t mean to rain on your parade but for me it was so awful. I’ll never get on that thing again. It was horrible being in the middle of an insanely noisy traffic jam in India.” She shivered.
He wanted to hug her but she pulled away. She needed to vent.
“Oh my God! That awful red lipstick! Why didn’t I listen to my mother and wear pink like she suggested?” Something about him was different but she couldn’t put her finger on it.
His voice drifted into an odd nostalgia. “I feel just as turned on to you now as I did that first date when we hung out at the lighthouse and made out on the beach.”
But her face twisted into an ugly frown. She sneered. “Since when with all this sex talk? That doesn’t sound like the you I know now.” Then her voice rose, “My experiences may seem trivial to you but I still feel a lot of pain and confusion.”
He put his arm around her shoulder. It felt thinner. “You don’t look the way you did this morning. You look so much younger.”
She frowned, said nothing. Then she began to cry.
He embraced her and gently stroked her shoulder.
She turned her head away. Finally she said. “I’ll never get on that thing again. Something about it is very wrong.”
He tried to smile. “You even sound like you’re twenty six. Same inflection in your voice.”
But instead of appreciating his compliment she peered at him and gasped. Panic mode. Her eyes widened. She squirmed and pulled his hand away from her.
“Your hair! It’s practically all turned white.”
At first he laughed.
“No seriously,” she said. “Howard I’m worried. Something about that motorcycle has affected your vital force.” She traced her finger along his cheek. “There’re wrinkles around your forehead and eyes I’ve never seen before.”
“You’re serious?” He ran his hand over his face and through his hair. It felt thinner.
“Yes, go look.”
He rushed into the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror. His head spun. He felt faint. The face of his father stared back at him.
My god,” he cried out. “I look like an old man. I’ve aged fifty, sixty years.”
Ella took his hand and led him into the kitchen. They sat at their round table holding hands. “There’s got to be a way out of thisa. None of this could have happened so fast. It’s weird: I’m appearing younger while you look older. She took their device and punched in the number for the Urban Rebel showroom. But there was no answer. No courteous voice inviting an appointment to test drive this amazing new wonder of the ages.
Howard tried to smile. “Just from riding around we both seem to be experiencing some sort of age reversal. The voice did say that in some instances when one’s vital force is applied as an agent for propulsion all sorts of minor disturbances can happen. But maybe that’s our destiny. To explore where no one has gone before, like Commander Kirk on the Enterprise.” He laughed oddly.
She frowned. “I don’t like hearing that at all. It frightens me. I’m sure if riding that thing doesn’t kill you, it may shorten your life considerably. I only pray you can revert to who you were before those motorcycles came into our lives. Please never ride it again.”
He looked at her and smiled. “It has to be some glitch they can fix. I’ll call them again in the morning. It’s probably just some mechanical bug that can be reversed and when it is, our vital force will return to normal.” His voice sounded more confident than he felt.
Looking down at herself, Ella noticed her clothes were big on her body. Her jeans were actually too loose for comfort. “What you’re saying sounds ridiculous. They make no sense whatever.”
His voice grew louder. “What are you talking about?”
“Can’t you hear yourself? After the way you’ve aged. Howard I’m really very concerned. You can’t ride around on that thing anymore or you’ll end up in a nursing home.”
His eyes and smile grew nostalgic and he sighed. “They’ll fix it. You have no idea the excitement of seeing the Babe hit one out of the park.”
Tears filled her eyes. “I just want us to last. What happens if I revert to being an adolescent or even younger?”
“I doubt that could happen. It’s just too weird to be real.”
“I’m going to bed. Maybe this is all just a bad dream.”
“I’ll join you. I know we’ll be fine. Whatever this effect is, it will surely wear off.”
Several days later their neighbors, Helen and Mark Gilmore peered out their living room window.
“I guess Ella and Howard have relatives visit for the holidays. The elderly man with a cane looks so much like Howard. Could that be his father or an uncle maybe?” Mark asked.
“That little girl beside him resembles Ella. Maybe she’s a niece or a cousin,” Helen said.
As they watched, the couple walked slowly toward the park and disappeared into the sunshine.

Finding Joy in Meaningless Tasks
By Madisyn Taylor

Finding joy and reason in mundane tasks can shift the flow, and make it not so bad after all.
Spending an afternoon working on the car, gardening, or even cleaning the house can be fun when we have an interest in the project. Yet, we can also find joy in the chores and tasks we don’t especially like. All we need is a change of attitude, a different approach, a little music, or some help from friends, and the tasks or responsibilities that we perceive as tedious can become a source of pleasure.

Most of us tend to put off what it is that we don’t want to do. Yet, one of the best approaches to an unpleasant task or dull chore is to dive right in and be fully mindful of what it is that you are doing. You may not perceive washing the kitchen floor as enjoyable, but it can be if you view it as a loving act for both yourself and your family. Lose yourself in paying your bills, and thank the universe that you are able to receive the service you are writing that check for. Mending can become a treasure hunt to find the right button and matching thread. And, each morning, see how neatly you can make your bed and take pride in your results.

Playing your favorite music, dancing while you work, or creating a mental list of everything you are grateful for are just a few ways to turn an unexciting activity into a fun event. Ask a friend to help you clean out the basement or paint a room; provide some yummy snacks as an incentive. Look for joy in doing your mundane activities, and they’ll become a source of enjoyment rather than a tolerable duty.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Judging by the current tricky planetary activity involving your ruler Mars, even simple plans won`t proceed as anticipated. Instead of battling to keep things as they are, regard what arises as an invitation to explore new ideas and meet new people. Not everything will work out, but still, who you encounter and what you learn will add to your life, and in unexpected yet valuable ways.

A senior colleague`s lack of appreciation for all that you do is starting to annoy you. You`re long overdue a break so don`t feel guilty for needing to take it easy. After all, you aren`t a robot, and no one can expect you to work flat out all the time. It may not be possible to avoid discussing sensitive subjects within the family. Try to consider these from the other person`s point of view. Disagreements can be overcome if you are all willing to make the effort.

How much do you really want to know? As of Monday, your likely be greedy for information. Just make sure that you write down what you find out. There`s a real danger of forgetting even by the Last Quarter Moon on the last day of the month. Take care too, that you`re not taking risk too far. The so-called wealth cycle reaches a critical point on Thursday. If you`ve been at all cavalier with accounts, the errors will no doubt show up. This might require both an apology and a tightening of controls. On the positive side, something you`ve written is likely to attract considerable attention and, if under exam conditions, plaudits. In particular, someone who is generally very fussy (a Virgo?), could compliment you and want to know more about where you got your information.

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

As much as you enjoy working closely with others, recent tensions have turned seemingly straightforward arrangements into tedious dramas. However, you`ve learnt from these and, better yet, a change in the planetary setup suggests you`ll be exchanging those obstacles for easily organised plans and agreeable encounters, some of which could add enormously to your life. For now, concentrate on exploration. Future plans can and should wait.

New experiences are what you are looking for. This could be achieved in a number of ways. If you aren`t willing to leave your normal social stamping ground to head for other areas, you might take up a creative pursuit or new sport. A team effort will make short work of job and family commitments. Others will be happy to admit that if they share the responsibility, they should share the work. You will be pleased with agreements reached as November ends.

Jupiter has now left your opposite sign and on Monday makes an alignment with the Sun in Sagittarius. This kick-starts a year of intense discussion. The need to know more about major issues of life and death and legacies and insurance increases greatly. A valuation of some kind might also need to be carried out. Yet it might be wise to lower expectations however. Before the Last Quarter Moon on Friday it may be apparent that even an expert has overestimated the price. A property matter will likely have your attention in particular, and if not, then asset management. In this respect, you could have contact with an insurance company and need to obtain both fresh estimates and advice. The Moon`s node (which changes signs roughly every 18 months) has now arrived in the Water signs of Cancer accenting a communications and local travel area of your solar chart. It may be that through a neighbour your worldview is altered.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

You thrive on learning about new ideas; but even you are overwhelmed by the pace and extent of changes reshaping your life and world. Certain well-meaning souls are expressing their concern. Thank them graciously, then do exactly what you feel is right. The trick is to state your goals but make no promises, explore, learn from what you experience and only then consider making decisions.

Talk over joint plans for the future. Small misunderstandings can be avoided if you`re organised about everything from the start. A few moments of careful planning will help save you a lot of future hassle. Beware of working too hard. You`ve had a lot to do and you will be feeling slightly drained as a consequence. Headaches and stomach pains could drain your energy. Take a few days off and it will help recharge your batteries. Changing your routine will benefit your health.

The Last Quarter Moon on Friday could mark the last phase of a project that began roughly 2 years ago. This week may be all about tidying up loose ends. Hold that thought. It is important that you do this efficiently. In particular, if you are seeking the sale of an item, ensuring that it`s in best possible condition would be wise to get the best price. The Sun and Jupiter align in your opposite sign on Monday 26th. It would be easy then you to be carried away by possibilities. As is likely to be the case for many signs, lower expectations. You might then be pleasantly surprised if you win through. Fact is that there is a gambling theme to these next few days which should be excellent for negotiating but will require you to hold your nerve.

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Long ago you learnt it`s wise to be wary of offers that seem too good to be true. What`s coming your way is worryingly wonderful yet you`re optimistic. Judging by the current planetary setup, that promise is for real. Knowing that, review existing arrangements and future plans, considering any necessary improvements. With thought, organisation and, especially, support from others, you could achieve those dreams.

Leave others to get on with their work by themselves and insist they do the same for you. As it is, your goals are very private ones and there are some plans you will want to keep secret. Allowing others to get involved would only slow you down as arguments over methods and intentions could grow tiresome. A partner or loved one has been overspending. You`ve noticed a definite shortfall between what is going out and what is coming in.

It won`t be surprising if you feel that your work load has increased unbelievably as of the start of this week. This is the first time the Sun and Jupiter have met in this area of the Zodiac for many years. Whilst you might be excited and exhilarated by the opportunities on offer, it would be wise to factor in adequate rest time. The good news is that by the Last Quarter Moon in Virgo on Friday (which is in the sign best known for efficiency), you may well have streamlined tasks. Before then there is real danger of your pushing yourself too far. In the process, you could also push a budget to its very limit. It perhaps won`t help that others are facing big challenges and that they too are processing information. For all, getting the work-play balance `right` will surely not be easy. One thing you could do is make sure that you have some sanctuary space and that others respect boundaries.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——-

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

While the fire sign part of your nature thrives on passion and enjoys tackling new challenges, the variety of changes you`re currently facing raise unsettling questions. That`s understandable, because they`d take you into new, exciting but unfamiliar territory. For now, commit to explore, no more. Once you`ve experienced what`s on offer, creatively, in terms of people or life style, you`ll be intrigued, if not say yes.

Someone you live with is nervous about arrangements other members of the family are making. Their negativity is not helping the atmosphere at home. If you sit down and have a heart to heart chat with them it could help make them feel a little less anxious. A special goal will be achieved if you put your time to the best use and don`t waste your energy. Turn a deaf ear to anyone who thinks you should be experimenting with new ideas.

You would perhaps be right to think that the conjunction of the Sun and Jupiter in the pleasure zone of your solar chart would be a good thing; and yes, it might. It should certainly act as a huge kick starter to creativity. However, a note of caution: you could easily take a risk too far and compromise your financial position even before the end of November. Take care not to commit to expenses that might be difficult to pay off later. Indeed, if you can put off making those decisions for a few weeks, you might even find that there are better bargains to be had. You could easily talk yourself into trouble over Tuesday and Wednesday when the Moon is in your sign. Your natural enthusiasm and exuberance (especially if you`re being given applause by others), could go into overdrive. You also have to take care that you`re not being bombastic and even bullying others into doing things your way before practicalities have been addressed. If you can regulate reactions however, this week you could display imagination, flair and design talents that are second to none.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——-

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

There`s no question, the new ideas and offers currently being discussed are intriguing; but the kind of details you`d usually require are in short supply. Once you understand that, you`ll forget about analysis and, shift your focus to learning from experience. This approach also makes it easy to interest others. This won`t just be helpful, get the right people involved and you`ll have a good time.

You`re determined to sort out the practical affairs of your life. Setting your house in order is your first priority. One thing that will surprise you is how willing your friends, family and workmates are, to provide you with the support you need. Preparations are being made for a wedding or family celebration. A lodger or someone close might be moving in with you. You enjoy making people comfortable in your home. A new sense of duty and pride comes with increasing family activity.

The Last Quarter Moon on Friday, the last day of November happens to be in your sign. There might be considerable spotlight on your ability to sift through information and determine what is valuable and what can be discarded. This exercise might even be urgent. From the Sun`s meeting with Jupiter in Sagittarius at the beginning of the week when property and asset management look set to require extra attention, the answers to your queries could flood in. Even before the Moon arrives in your sign on Thursday, it should be apparent that there are matters that need to be gone over again and again. Others might be cavalier about risks. That is not your style. Dotting I`s, crossing t`s is where you excel. If there is danger of these next seven days, it`s that you`re worry volume could be turned up to extreme high. It` perhaps imperative then, that you partner with someone who is able to make you laugh when and if the going gets tough.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——-

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

The fact is, there`s no way you can avoid the tricky situations you`re currently facing. However, not only are they not that bad, each is prompting you to review, rethink or possibly end certain arrangements or alliances. This isn`t anything new. It`s just that recent developments have made it clear you`ve far better options. The first step? Is freeing the way to explore them?

A child or young person is having problems at school or college. This is something they cannot resolve without help and your diplomatic intervention should help clear up the matter. Spending quality time with younger members of your family will bring out your playful side. There is something from the past you are trying hard to remember. If there is no one who can help you reconnect with a distant memory, old photographs could provide the answers you are looking for.

Jupiter has now moved into the sign of Sagittarius. Greater involvement in local issues is probable. You might also find that you are writing more and daily. A strong possibility given that Mercury is retrograde, is that you will be trying to put the record straight (editing!). This would be an excellent time for ensuring that the paperwork for a project is as detailed and thorough at as possible. You might go be doing this against the backdrop of dealing with someone who is unwell. It`s even possible that your daily routine will have to be amended to accommodate their needs. It is not improbable either, that you will be involved in a research project which, at least for the first half of the week finds you overwhelmed with information. With the assistance of a Capricorn however, you could streamline tasks and determine a solid schedule to be completed by the end of the year.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——-

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Few things annoy you more than being short of vital facts, yet unsure how to get the information you need. Once you understand this won`t be easy, simply because the actual situations are complicated, you`ll seek others` help. While, ordinarily, you pride yourself on being able to deal with such matters solo, this is as much about getting closer to others, as it is about gathering those facts.

A community project that was largely your idea is running smoothly and very much to your approval. This won`t stop you from taking a serious interest in what is going on and making certain you are up to date with its progress. You can`t be too careful about your money dealings.. Someone will try to push you into signing up on a long-term financial plan, but it might pay to get a few more quotations from other companies before you make up your mind.

It would be understandable if you smiled wryly as truths were exposed. What you stand for, what you represent, and where you are and are not prepared to negotiate should be clear before the end of November. The fact that others are uncomfortable is obviously their problem – especially if they`ve been trying to hide inefficiencies or, worse still, corruption. You could of course choose to give them longer to put things right. It`s probable that this is unachievable. Those of your sign are good at digging deep and unearthing facts however unpleasant. Yet it`s rare that you are unkind and probable that this week you will show compassion to those caught up in a mess that is not of their making, whilst coming down hard on those who should have behaved and known better. A large corporation might also come under your attack. Here, it`s unlikely that you will take no for an answer and certainly demand that your interests are better protected.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——-

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

This is an exciting period. Not only are past plans and ideas moving swiftly, recent developments and new ideas are so exciting you`re juggling your time and priorities. Others may worry you`re trying to do too much, but for now you`re better off exploring absolutely everything. Once you know more, there`s be little question what should go versus what will become a lasting part of your life.

Recent discussions about the future need to be settled and will continue to take up your time. You need to formulate a plan that meets the needs of all who are concerned. The good thing about this is you are making certain everyone will have everything clear in their minds once the deal is sealed. Family and career affairs are working to your advantage. So even if a slight hiccup catches you unawares, think of your glass as being half full and not half empty.

The last time that the Sun and Jupiter aligned in your sign was in December 1994. This week is not a repeat of that time – though you may find you are as busy this year as you were then. What is likely that you will be the centre of considerable attention. This might not be entirely comfortable. You could feel bombarded with information and to some extent totally confused. Bear in mind that Mars has now joined Neptune at the very base of your solar chart. Think of this as living on a boat rather than in a well-established property on land. Somehow or other you need to get used to a new rhythm and pace entirely. What could however have much of your attention are documents showing how others have plotted similar courses in the past.. Whether these are related to health or archiving this week could see you on the start of the new journey.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——-

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Your ability to deal with even challenging situations on your own is a source of pride. Still, the current emphasis on the most strategic portion of your chart indicates which you`ll need to acknowledge vulnerable feelings and, equally, ask for guidance. Do that, and you`ll not only get that timely back up, you`ll realise others respect your self-sufficiency, so wait for you to seek support.

You`re extremely talented and you can put your strengths to work in a group project. The progress you make within a combined effort will please you all. Very soon you will achieve a mutual goal. Give some thought to your health and well-being and be sensible in medical matters. An old allergy will try to get the better of you but taking preventive measures should keep you feeling fit. Your willpower is very strong right now; use it.

A crisis could demand your full attention as of the beginning of this week. It may be that you are asked to visit someone in a large institution and yes, hospitals can`t be ruled out. The arrival of Jupiter in arguably one of the more delicate areas of your solar chart, suggests the need to show inner strength and assist those who are hoping with difficult situations. The advice they`ve been given by an expert may not be the advice they want to follow. In assisting them process information however, it may become obvious that your role within both the family and a working team, is no longer as it once was. Whether you wanted the position or not, it seems you are now seen as being a parent, guide or mentor. Adjusting to this role could take some time but, with the solar Eclipse in Capricorn in January, may be unavoidable.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——-

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

As intriguing as the ideas, offers or opportunities currently coming your way are, they`d require rethinking elements of your lifestyle, work or certain alliances. You regard this as overwhelming. That`s understandable; but as time passes, you`ll realise changes in circumstances are cornering you into taking some of those options seriously. For now, focus on learning more about them. That alone could change your thinking.

A friend or workmate`s suggestions will be as much use as a chocolate teapot. Don`t waste your time listening to them. People who are trying to be helpful are getting in the way and it will be easier to approach some jobs on your own. Some responsibilities are becoming quite weighty. The more time you have to devote to these, the easier you will find it to cope. That`s why it would be sensible to tie up the loose-ends of any projects that are dragging on now.

Priority might need to be given to financial matters despite the fact that others want you to join them in some group endeavour. Think carefully before you agree to any large expenditure. Fact is that with Mars, Neptune and the Lunar Node all now in Water signs, that the financial flow could be fast and potentially furious. Of course, it`s always possible that financial ripples affecting your long-term investments will be beyond your control. Even so, being aware of changes and then, perhaps before the end of November, considering other options for savings would be wise. Of course, it`s not just finances that will surely warrant attention. Partnership matters may be on collision course with family requirements. Resolving all of this will no doubt require considerable focus. You may find that others demand that you fit in with their arrangements when that`s the last thing that you want to do.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——-

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

You rarely give much thought to the perfectionist side of your nature. However, between several intriguing encounters and equally interesting ideas being discussed, all of which fall short of your high standards, you`re being forced to pause and think. This involves acknowledging that you owe it to yourself to reconsider what you regard as acceptable to explore. What is the long-term goal? Broadening your horizons.

There`s a part of you that always enjoys being pampered. If a partner is preoccupied with their own concerns, you might want to buy something special for yourself. Can you really afford it? Rather than borrow, start saving up for something you hope to buy in the future. Your thoughts will prove incredibly intuitive. Friends notice this and will come to you for advice. They want to hear your views and you should take this as a compliment.

As you know, water moves in different currents. What`s happening on the top is rarely the same as what`s happening at the bottom. Those of your sign are particularly attuned to change in flow. Though it might be obvious on Monday when the Sun and Jupiter align at the very apex of your solar chart (and the last time they did this was in 1994), it`s perhaps more important what`s going on behind the scenes. Your ruling planet, Neptune, appears to move forward and it should be obvious by the Last Quarter Moon in your opposite sign on Friday, that there`s been a change of direction. It`s perhaps the case that a situation that`s been developing in the last two years will reach a turning point. A possibility is that someone moving in fresh career direction will ask for your support particularly through until next summer. The decision you have to make is whether or not you have space to fit this into an already crowded diary.
