Light A Candle Today!
In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

Mabon / Autumnal Equinox Sept.22, 2019 – The First Day of Fall! Also called the September Equinox—is Monday. On this day, Fall begins in the Northern Hemisphere and Spring begins in the Southern Hemisphere.

Mabon is the mid-harvest festival, and it is when we take a few moments to honor the changing seasons and celebrate the second harvest.

Q. Is the Autumnal Equinox Really the 1st Day of Fall?

A: Based on the astronomical definition, yes, the autumnal equinox marks the 1stday of Fall (in the Northern Hemisphere). However, the meteorological definition of seasons, based on temperature& Gregorian calendar the 1stday of Fall is Sept1.

The September Equinox is the moment when the Sun appears to cross the celestial equator, heading southward. Due to differences between the calendar year and the tropical year, the September equinox can occur at any time from September 21 to 24.

For many Pagan and Witch traditions it is a time of giving thanks for the things we have, whether it is abundant crops or other blessings.

Tarot Card of the Week
by Biddie Tarot

The Card Drawn For This Week Is The Two Of Wands Reversed

This week you may like to draw your attention inwards and focus on your personal goals. Consider what is truly important to you and what lights you up. You may have headed in one direction, only to realise it wasn’t in full alignment with your deeper values and purpose. The Two of Wands reversed invites you to go back to the drawing board and reconnect with your dreams and ambitions, then make the necessary adjustments to your path ahead.

Or perhaps you already know what you want, but lack a clear strategy to move it forward. As a result, you are working haphazardly and inefficiently and not reaching your desired destination as quickly as you would like. As French poet, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, says, “A goal without a plan is just a wish,” so make sure you have a clear plan in place to manifest your goals. Go back to your original intention, and the energy and enthusiasm you felt at the beginning. Let them guide you to the next step.

Ask the Tarot: “What do I really want, and what’s keeping me from getting it?”

Llewellyn’s Spell of the Day

Equinox Preparation Bath
September 22, 2019 by Devin Hunter

Tomorrow is the fall equinox, and the tides of seasonal energies will shift once again, ushering in change and a series of new cycles. Tonight, take this cleansing bath (or dissolve this mixture in water and use it like body wash in the shower) to prepare for this shift and open the way for those new cycles.

Combine one cup sea salt with nine drops of hyssop essential oil, five pinches of both dried lavender and dried sage, and three pinches of dried lemongrass. Mix well, and as you do so, recite the Charge of the Goddess. Then seal the blessing by saying:

What is within shall now be free, for
what I have sought I have found!
Let there be ending and completion,
renewal and new beginnings.
May the mysteries continue and
the magic flow! Blessed be.

Candle Spell for Peace
September 21, 2019 by Ember Grant

Today, in honor of the UN International Day of Peace, perform this ritual. Carve a peace sign into a light blue or white votive candle, and surround it with clear quartz points. Light the candle and visualize comfort, love, acceptance, and kindness spreading across the world like a soft blanket. Imagine your energy, represented by the candle, being amplified by the crystals, joining with the peaceful intentions and actions of others, united in a common goal.
Chant:

Let love and peace fill hearts and minds,
never ceasing ’til it finds
its way to all, with fear dispelled—
all hate and violence to be quelled.

Let the candle burn out safely. In addition, take some action today: do something kind for someone, display symbols of peace, attend an event, make a donation, etc.

Dies Veneris Ritual
September 20, 2019 by Stephanie Rose Bird

Dies Veneris means “day of Venus,” which is Friday. Venus is the Roman goddess of love, beauty, and victory. She’s a self-possessed and sensual goddess. Today is a good day to do a ritual in her honor.

Begin by taking off your clothes. Light a pink floral-scented candle in a holder.

Into a cup of coarse sea salt, crumble the petals of a single pink or red rose. Say:

In honor of Venus.

Sprinkle the sea salt mixture in the tub. Draw a hot bath and swirl the mixture to dissolve.

Take a clamshell-shaped soap and natural sponge into the tub. Recite:

I conjure Venus.

Rub soap on the sponge and wet it to create a lather. Cleanse your body. Say:

May I learn from the love magick,
beauty and acceptance of self. I
ask these things of you on your
day. Blessings to Venus!

Bathe in the light and warmth of the candle. See what messages Venus brings forth for you.

Get out of the tub and dry off. Put on a robe and record any visions or messages you receive. Extinguish the candle.

BFFs for the Foreseeable Future
September 19, 2019 by Estha McNevin

As much as we may be innocently prone to bond with new people prematurely, learning to take trust and friendship in stages is vital to finding lifelong confidants.

Cast this spell with any new friend whom you hope will stick around. Procure one spool of yellow ribbon and a dozen yellow roses with baby’s breath. Bundle the flowers into two bouquets for each other. As you bind the roses with the yellow ribbon, speak your feelings of rapport and express hope for deeper levels of trust in the future.

During this “getting to know you” phase, dry the flowers upside down as a symbol of your new acquaintance. Take care: once a tussie-mussie of fidelity is exchanged, any sign of rot or damage on the bouquet is believed to be a curse to the alliance, so be sure to be mindful of the bouquet’s drying health!

Harvest Altar
September 18, 2019 by Melanie Marquis

In this season of harvest, consider creating this altar space to help you align with nature’s flow. Take a few dried beans or other seeds and place them on your altar one by one as you contemplate what you wish to give to the world today. What are you offering to those around you? It could be kindness, a smile, laughter, or something entirely different. Think about these “seeds” as you go about your daily business. When the day is done, return to the altar with a small notepad and pen. Think about each of the “seeds” you planted and identify what has grown out of each one. Write down a description of your harvest and place it under each seed. This altar will act as a tangible reminder that we do indeed reap what we sow.

September Song
September 17, 2019 by Barbara Ardinger

By mid-September it’s becoming obvious in most of the US that the seasons are changing. We’re moving out of summer’s heat and into autumn’s welcome cool. Let’s celebrate the change of seasons. We can also acknowledge new changes we foresee coming into our lives. Let’s celebrate them, too.

Alone or with your coven, state your intention to welcome change. Decorate an autumnal altar with leaves, a few pinches of cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, and a geode in each direction. Lay Tarot card III, the Empress (aka, the Great Goddess), in the center, then draw a personal card. After reading your personal card, sing this beautiful chant by Starhawk:

She changes everything She touches,
and everything She touches changes.

Sing it as a round. Add harmonies. There are long versions (with verses) on YouTube. Learn and sing them. The singing is the working of this spell. You’re singing change into manifestation.

Casting Acorns
September 16, 2019 by Blake Octavian Blair

At this point in the year, acorns have begun to fall from the oak trees in some areas. A simple divination can be done with a few collected acorns based on an old traditional method of divination. You’ll want to find three or four acorns that look distinguishably different from one another in some way (size, color, markings, etc). Designate one to represent you, one to represent yes, one to represent no, and optionally one to represent maybe.

Hold the acorns in your hands and shake them a little. Think of your question, then blow your breath into your hands and onto the acorns. Then cast them. Read them according to which acorn falls closest to the acorn that represents you. Repeat the process twice more. Look for consistencies between casting rounds to divine the answer. This also works nicely in conjunction with other divination methods.

Home Renovation
September 15, 2019 by Emyme

Is there a place in your home that needs a makeover? Can you finally create your sacred space? Be sure to include magic and feng shui in the transformation: walls painted a color corresponding to the bagua, perhaps new trim to represent completion, new flooring for a firm foundation, or old and new furnishings to honor the past and welcome the future.

When all is done, cleanse the space of the former energy, the vibes of the workers, and the paint/flooring fumes. After that casting, keep a piece of selenite handy. Decorate to enhance the use of the room: calm accents if the room will be slept in, something bright for the kitchen, and books and technology for the home office. Chant:

A room of my own, a sacred
space; cleansed and cozy, not
an inch will I waste.
Romance, family, travel, prosperity;
every corner holds opportunity.

Harvesting the Moon
September 14, 2019 by Elizabeth Barrette

Autumn brings the harvest. The full moons of fall used to make it easier to bring in fruits, vegetables, and grains from the field. Now is a good time to celebrate that.

For this esbat, enjoy a feast of fall foods, such as apples, squash, and barley. Ideally, cook your own, but buying it works too. Afterward, step out in the moonlight if you can, or use an image of the full moon over your altar. Focus on lunar energy at its peak. Think of the things you have cultivated in your life this growing season, whether a literal garden or personal projects. Direct the energy of the full moon into those things. Visualize gathering an abundant harvest after all your hard work.

After autumn comes winter, the season of rest. Once you have celebrated the harvest, begin thinking about what you will leave fallow during the cold time.

Full Moon Blessings
September 13, 2019 by Najah Lightfoot

I can feel it coming. I can feel the energy of the full moon upon me before I ever see its luminous glow in the night.

Sometimes, if I’ve planned ahead, I’m ready for a full-blown ritual. Other times, depending upon what life has brought, I may only be able to light a candle. Other times I may only blow a kiss to the moon. All are okay. A full ritual is okay, a kiss is divine, and a candle always lights our way in the darkness.

Tonight, as the moon grows full, let go of what you think you should be doing and simply be with her. Take a nice bath or shower and go outside. Stand beneath the moon and bless yourself, your home, and your loved ones. Let the moon whisper to you and bless you with her magickal light.

A Faery Love Charm
September 12, 2019 by Storm Faerywolf

Make an offering to the Fae to bring true love.

For this charm you will need:
• 6 red roses in a vase
• Green ribbon
• A green candle and holder
• The Lovers card from any Tarot deck
• An apple, sliced on a dish, drizzled with honey and sprinkled with cinnamon
• Some sea salt

Green is the traditional color for the faery folk, so to honor them and ask their favor, we tie the ribbon around the stems of the roses, binding them together, and we offer them apples and honey.

Place the candle in the center of your altar. Behind this place the vase of roses tied with ribbon. Before the candle place the Lovers card, and next to this, the plate with the offering.

Surround this all in a circle of salt.
Light the candle and say:

“Bring me roses, bring me thorns,
Bring true love into my world.”

Let the candle burn down safely. Harvest the rose petals and scatter them in the wind. Your prayer has been made. Now direct your efforts toward making yourself emotionally ready so you can recognize that true love starts within.

Sharing Grief
By Madisyn Taylor

Grief is part of the human experience, and sharing our vulnerability helps create truly close bonds.

When we experience something that causes us to feel shock and sadness, we may feel the urge to withdraw from life. It may seem like remaining withdrawn will keep us protected from the world, but during these times it is important to reach out to those trusted and precious people who care about us the most. Even with our best information and reasoning, we never know when someone else’s experience or perspective can give us additional information that we need. The universe speaks to us through many channels, and when we open ourselves up to receive its messages, we also receive nurturing care from a loving partner in life’s journey.

Grief is part of the human experience, and sharing our vulnerability is what creates truly close bonds in our relationships. Opening ourselves up in this way gets to the core of our being, past all of our defenses and prejudices. When life seems to crack the outer shell of our world, we are both raw and fresh at the same time. It is then that we discover who is truly willing to walk with us through life. We also see that some of those sent to us may not be the ones we expected to see. Regardless, we learn to trust in the universe, in others, in our own strength and resilience, and in the wisdom of life itself.

Sharing grief allows us to ease our burden by letting someone else help carry it. This helps us process our own inner thoughts and feelings through the filter of a trusted and beloved someone. We may feel guilty or selfish, as if we are unloading on someone who has their own challenges. Although, if we think about it, we know we would do the same for them, and their protests would seem pointless. Remember that not sharing feelings with others denies them the opportunity to feel. We may be the messenger sent by the universe for their benefit, and it is on this mission that we have been sent. By sharing our hopes and fears, joys and pains with another person, we accept the universe’s gifts of wisdom and loving care.

Heartwings Love notes 898 Mourn and Move On

Heartwings says, “Sadness at parting is part of life, yet we need not dwell on it.”

Laurens Van der Post, a South African author whose writing I respect, once wrote, “There are some things we never quite get over, however once in a while we go back, pat them on the head and say, ‘How are you doing old fellow?'” In this instance he was speaking about his time in a Japanese prison camp, where he was very cruelly treated. I have remembered this quote for many years. It has been very useful in reminding me not to dwell on past grief, yet not to suppress it. The recent unnecessary death of a poet friend reminded me again to remember this.

When someone dies, it tends to pull up our memories of others of whom we are fond who have left us. Yet it is well to remember them with joy rather than regret. I will treasure in my heart my friend’s funny emails and his amazing adventures. He was a unique character with a huge, loving heart and a mission to try to help every woebegone that crossed his path whether or not they deserved to be helped. He also had a way of getting into trouble as well as several bad habits, one of which resulted in his premature death. Rather than blame him for his foolishness I will bless him for his courage in pursuing his life the way he wanted to-whether I thought it was a good way or not.

When you live a long life as I have, you do “lose” people that you have, for one reason or another, outlived. Whether these are members of your family or your friends, along with the current grief the sadness of their passing may easily come to mind. In addition, in our lives there are other instances of departure or absence: the job we didn’t take or did, the home we bought or didn’t , the gift we meant to give, even the words that went unsaid or the ones we wish we had not spoken. The grief engendered by regrets small and large can consume us if we let them.

It is important for us to grieve and let go. It is vital not to carry these burdens any longer than necessary for us to do so. There is a Zen story of two monks who came to a stream and found a woman there who was afraid to cross. One monk picked her up, carried her over the stream and set her down. As they continued, his brother monk began to berate him for touching a woman’s body. Finally the first monk turned to his friend and said, “I set the woman down a while ago. You are still carrying her.” There is no need to carry our grief endlessly. We can let it be on a shelf in our memories and then once in a while, go back and pat it, saying, “How are you doing, old friend? And then go on to find a happy memory to carry on with.

May your sorrows be small and if not easily soothed, gently tended.

Blessings and Best Regards,
Tasha Halpert <tashahal@gmail.com>

The Gold Pen by Stephen Halpert

“Well look at this,” Tom Jeffries said. He held up an antique gold pen he’d found in the bottom of a packing case. He was going through the boxes in the basement storage of his apartment in Philadelphia. Unlike the pens of today it was oddly shaped with curious antique filigree decorations.
He liked the way it fit in his hand. When he unscrewed the top from its bottom, he found that it still contained ink. How odd, he thought. That makes no sense. Antique pens don’t usually contain ink; must be some special design.
Squinting at it, he studied its markings. He could make out the faded form of an eagle. The point and the chamber with the ink were firmly affixed. How could I ever add more ink? He thought. He placed it on his computer desk and turned to go back to the storage. Something caught his eye. He turned. How odd, he thought, the pen is glowing.
He felt drawn back to his desk. As he sat down he felt a sudden intense yearning to use the pen to write something. Tommy wasn’t a writer; nevertheless he felt an overwhelming urge to pick up the gold pen. Immediately a waterfall of words cascaded through his mind.
As he began to write, the words scrolled directly from the pen to the paper. He had no idea what he was writing, yet he kept on. An hour later he discovered he had filled many pages in an elegant, old fashioned handwriting. It differed considerably from his usual lazy scrawl. Even though it was still afternoon he felt unusually tired. He went into his bedroom and lay down. Within moments he was asleep.
His phone woke him. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He remembered a weird dream. He was somewhere he’d never been, in a room filled with old wooden furniture that included a writing desk. On it was a gold pen much like the one he had just found.
Maize was on the phone. “You said you’d call,” his girlfriend said.
“I got real tired and fell asleep.” He yawned.
“From what? You haven’t worked for the last two weeks.”
“Just tired,” he yawned again. “Can’t explain but my whole body feels worn out.”
“I’ll be right over,” she said and hung up.
When she walked into his studio apartment she gasped. His face was pale, his shoulders were slumped. He stared at her blankly.
She took a deep breath. “Ok what’s going on?”
“I’d tell you but I have no idea.” His speech was slightly slurred. “If I could tell you I would. But I can’t, I don’t know, unless maybe I’m coming down with something like,” he shrugged, “maybe mono?”
Maize huffed and pushed her red curls back from her face. She glared at him. “Maybe you need medical attention. Were you partying last night? How much did you drink?”
He stared at her blankly. “I went to bed well before eleven. Something else happened to me today.” He went to his computer desk to show her the pile of pages he had filled. They weren’t there. Neither was the pen. A cold chill ran through him. Worse, he couldn’t keep from yawning.
She frowned at him, her hands on her hips. “So what’s been happening?”
“You sound like a cop trying to get to the bottom of something that makes absolutely no sense at least to me. But anyway, here’s the story as far as I know it.” He told her how he had found the gold pen and about the now vanished writing. He tried to describe the pen, but all he could remember was the faded eagle along its side.
She made a face. “You’re certainly not in any condition to go out partying with me tonight. So much for the 4th of July bash with my office mates.”
He yawned again and smiled blankly.
Now she was genuinely upset. “You know something Tommy, you’re weird.” With a frown and a sigh, she stood up and left.
Moments later Tommy saw the pen. It was in plain sight where he had left it on his work desk. It glowed brilliantly. He felt compelled to pick it up. Intense vitality surged through his body. Words filled his head. He saw a stack of paper ready for him. Again as he held the pen, his hand began swirling letters into words. He had no idea what they meant or where they were coming from.
After a while his head spun. I need air, he thought. He went to the window, opened it, and breathed. Feeling a bit better, he turned and to his surprise he saw that he was no longer in his apartment.
Looking around he saw old wooden furniture some of which was covered with worn embroidery. His head swam. He heard voices. Overcome with a need to get away he staggered down the stairs, opened the wooden door and went outside.
The night air was thick with the scent of flowers. People on the street were dressed in what seemed like costumes from another time. Then he saw Maize coming toward him. Some of her red curls had escaped from her old fashioned white bonnet.
She beamed lovingly and touched his arm. “Aren’t you glad,” she said. “The war’s over. We’re all free now. The soldiers have all sailed back to England.”
Tommy’s head spun. What was she talking about? “I don’t understand.”
“You’re so modest Tommy. But like Dr. Franklin told the Congress you’re the only person who could have written the Declaration.”
What was she going on about?
“Do you still have the gold pen? The one General Washington gave you as a tribute for a job well done? Dr. Franklin invented it. He told me before he left for New York that General Washington said you deserved to keep it forever.”
He wondered if this was a dream, because it made no sense. He reached out to take her hand. Exhaustion overcame him and he felt himself slipping into a state of unconsciousness.
When he came to he was stretched out on his bed. Maize hovered over him. Her face was a mask of concern. The gold pen was still on his desk, however, the pages he had written had all vanished.

Following Nature’s Cycles
By Madisyn Taylor

We cannot have harmony and balance in our lives, if we forget to include the earth and natural rhythms in our lives.

Nature, in all its myriad forms, is the most powerful force on earth. Although mankind has tried, we have not found a way to match its awesome power, but we have found ways to work with it. Science often confirms the wisdom of the ancients who observed and then harnessed nature’s rhythms and cycles to shape and enhance their lives. We can begin to do this in our own lives by first paying attention to our own natural rhythms, such as when we wake or when we feel the need to sleep. If possible, we may want to try to rise and sleep with the sun or live without electricity for a weekend and then monitor how we feel. We can make the choice to eat the foods of the seasons and to seek fresher, locally grown, or organic produce whose own cycles have not been tampered with by technology.

We can create harmony in our homes by making a smooth transition between our indoor and outdoor spaces. By bringing some of the outdoors inside and taking some of our indoor décor out, we can simultaneously enjoy nature and the comforts of home and the feeling that our living space is expanded. Then, whether inside or out, we can lounge on a comfortable piece of furniture and feel the wind, inhale the scent of deeply breathing plants, listen for the many songs of life, and observe the moon and the stars. As we do this more often, we may find ourselves noticing the pull of the full moon on bodies of water, as well as the water in bodies, or the music of the night acting as a lullaby.

When we seek balance in our lives, we want to balance not just our roles in life but also the natural elements in our spaces. Having representations of the elements in the colors, shapes, and textures of our homes will appeal to our mind, body, and spirit. We may find that when we sync ourselves with nature’s rhythms, we ride the waves of energy to feel more in harmony with life and the world around us.

Aries
Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Usually one of your greatest strengths is your ability to tackle and deal with even very complicated matters swiftly and fully. Yet, as you`ll soon discover, much of what you`re facing demands patience with others, painstaking thoroughness – or both. Tempting as it is to sidestep details, not only are they important, what you learn will prove valuable now and in numerous situations in the future.

It`s not often you have time to yourself. Someone will volunteer to take over some of your responsibilities and this will take a huge weight off your shoulders. At last you have a chance to take a break and indulge in a little harmless daydreaming. A partner is willing to talk about subjects they`ve been avoiding in the past. You`re both working hard to make this relationship work and this helps you get things between you onto a better footing.

With so much planetary attention in your opposite sign, anticipate that others will want to do business. For some months Saturn has been retrograde at the apex of your solar chart. Career progress may not have been as swift as you hoped. That situation should now change. Much may depend on how good your personal administration is. There may be either a paperwork or technical hurdle to overcome before next weekend. For this you could enlist the help of someone born under either Virgo or Pisces. Though the latter has a justified reputation for losing things, they can also show clarity in a crisis. Prior to next weekend`s New Moon, it would be good to clear up outstanding debts or at least have full understanding of where you stand and what scheduled repayments will be.

Taurus
Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Being a conscientious earth sign, whatever you`re doing will usually be dealt with once, and thoroughly. However, even at your most detailed, it`s unlikely you`ll have anticipated certain tricky issues or sudden changes that demand time to rethink things. Annoying as this is now, what you learn will provide insights about matters that you`ve regarded as settled but, as you gradually recognise, are still in transition.

Relationships are happy and harmonious. There is a natural affinity between you and a team you are working with. With everyone coming together to work towards a mutual goal, this makes you all more positive and productive. Friendship can escalate into an intense bonding. Are you singe? Someone with an earthy sense of humour will strike up a conversation with you. You will have a lot in common and the two of you will make a great couple.

It seems likely that considerable work is headed your way. This though, could be something you positively embrace. You may be well aware that the ground work put in now will pay dividends later. Neither should we underestimate your creativity when it comes to administration and even, indeed to delegation. Yes, you might need to teach someone the ropes, but it`s just possible you are about to discover talent for mentoring. A slight change in career direction might also prompt the desire to tackle a research or learning pathway. Here you may be indebted to a Capricorn whose professionalism is exemplary and who sees the qualities you bring and is happy to smooth your path.

Gemini
Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Obviously, dealing with those so obsessed with details they can`t see the big picture is annoying. While that`s understandable, try sidestepping even seemingly minor details and you`ll soon realise they`re not only vital but how much you`re learning from them. The resulting insights could, in fact, alter your thinking about plans now, but even more in the weeks, months and, in some cases, years to come.

Keep your options open and avoid making commitments you might later regret. Something new and exciting is now brewing in your life. Stay alert for an opportunity to advance your personal aims. This may mean venturing into a new direction but you will find it stimulating and exciting. A degree of flexibility is also called for in business and finance. A money issue will be the cause of some conflict. Having to look after your own interests will keep you on your toes.

As you well know, yours is the sign of the twins. It can seem to others you are looking both ways and give conflicting signals. That may be particularly true toward the end of this week. You will need to be extremely careful – especially if involved in complicated negotiations. On the one hand, you might convey the impression that you have a clear goal. It`s probable however – and especially given Neptune`s position, – that your vision is clouded. It`s perhaps imperative that you listen carefully to those who have to implement rules and regulations and whose administrative capabilities are well tested. There is strong possibility that you could muddy waters especially in the days leading up to the New Moon on September 28.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Cancer
Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Making long range plans now may be sensible. However, with powerful and positive planetary activity shaking up the structure of your life between now and mid-October, you`ll be taking things in stages. For the moment, focus on what could go or where you`d like to see changes made, much of which you can tackle right away. The resulting insights will shape your vision for the future.

You`re impatient to see results. Acting prematurely out of an urge to get things moving could lead to later problems. You may need to apologise to someone for having jumped to the wrong conclusion. A sense of humour will help cover any embarrassment. Being able to laugh at yourself is an admirable quality. Domestic obligations will need your attention later. There is stability in a changing world and this lies within your home. Be sure to keep family relationships harmonious.

Though the New Moon isn`t until next weekend, with so many planets congregated at the base of your solar chart, it`s probable you`re already set to put your best foot forward. True this could be driven by a wave of emotion. Improving your environment will likely be top priority. Yet domestic matters might also require attention. It`s possible too that new neighbours or a new work colleague will require you to appraise the time you have available to assist them in settling in. Dovetailing their network with your own may not be necessary. You might though, sense that the effort put into this would be an investment. You won`t be the only sign to be focused on administrative issues and especially those involving education. Here though, you may be asked to take on a lead role.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Leo
Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Finally, the range of tedious practical or financial matters you`ve faced are dealt with. Consequently, you`ll welcome the shift in focus that comes with Mercury, Venus and, on Tuesday, your ruler the Sun all moving to accent new ideas and being out and about. While this is a relief, here, too, you`ll soon recognise you`ve lots to organise and a range of obligations to fulfill.

You would do anything to get your life back to normal after some disturbance and disruptions. This is easier said than done. A Virgo relative might offer some practical advice or assistance. The only way to get a tedious task over with will be to keep at it and maintain a steady pace. Encourage those who work with you to do the same. Good news on Friday will confirm things are starting to go your way.

Even before next weekend`s New Moon there is considerable build-up of planetary activity concerning close working colleagues, local schools, and neighbours. It`s not impossible that others will ask you for advice – particularly with the wording of a document. It might also be that financial paperwork requires singular attention. Much as you might complain about this – especially as the Moon passes through your sign between Tuesday and Thursday, – it`s worth noting that if you attend to these issues now, then meetings next week should be more productive. Fact is that presently, the planetary line-up is such that people are likely to be taking sides. Though not usually known as one of the Zodiac`s diplomats, this may be a trait to cultivate as a successful outcome will likely demand compromise.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Virgo
Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Annoying as discovering and being forced to deal with others` carelessness may be, you`ll also be facing your own errors or, possibly, misunderstanding of certain complex situations. Whatever the case, and there will be several such matters, delve into each in detail now. This not only ensures every issue is dealt with, what you learn in the process will also shape pivotal decisions for the future.

A colleague or neighbour you had thought would keep a promise will change their mind. You aren`t the only one they have disappointed but you do seem to be the only person who can set a difficult matter to rights. People are looking to you for leadership and guidance. You have some big expenses on the horizon. Try to live within your means and budget.. This may mean you will have to be a little more conservative with your ideas.

Though true, you might not always put this talent on display, your sign has a justified reputation for seeing tasks that need to be attended to and improving things generally. This often results in minimalist style and excellent organisation. You might then be exasperated this week when it seems goalposts are moved. Fact is that now that Saturn is at last in direct motion, there should be clarity as to long-term objectives. With that though will likely come the decision to abandon certain ways of working and the adoption of others. This could be hugely stressful – particularly as the Moon passes through your sign between Thursday and next weekend. Rather than allow your nerves to become frayed, it might be as well to alert others to what it is that really important to you and which systems you would find difficult to abandon. It`s not impossible that this can be taken into account in forward planning.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Libra
Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

The Sun`s move into your sign on Tuesday may be pivotal. However, the twists and turns you`ve been facing; and will this week be preparing you for the fresh start triggered by the Libra New Moon on Saturday the 28th. Have the courage to say farewell to certain arrangements, some longstanding. This clears the way for offers and ideas as thrilling as they will be unexpected.

People whose support you were relying on may remain silent. You are starting to find out who your true friends are. Your boss wants everything done yesterday. A newly made friend won`t leave you alone. A demanding relative claims you are never there for them which you know isn`t true. As a Libran you can be too friendly for your own good. If someone is taking advantage, nip this in the bud now.

With the Sun joining Mercury and Venus (already moving through your sign), it would be unsurprising if all eyes were on you. Even ahead of the New Moon in Libra next weekend, you will surely be super busy. Family matters might well require extra attention. Your organisational skills will likely also be put to the test. It might help to know that the whole process of laying new foundations began a decade ago and will conclude in 2024. You could almost see the present as being the last bit of mess to clear up. (Though there will likely be improvement from the end of 2020). For now, focus is imperative. You may have reason to be grateful to various colleagues whose faith in you is considerable. With their assistance you could also be energised ahead of the New Moon to instigate meetings for next month when you make clear your professional intentions.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

It`s not that you`re trying to avoid certain issues but you`d rather deal with them when you`re better informed, and that will take some time. Out of character as making halfway arrangements may be, it`s the best approach. First, it will keep others happy, which is vital; but, also, this enables you to discuss both your own insights and pivotal facts as they surface.

Distracting background noise makes it hard for you to concentrate. If something important needs to be done, don`t expect any help. Turn off your mobile, stay off the Internet and get on with it yourself. Working behind the scenes will be productive. Travel delays will try your patience. When you`re stuck in the middle of traffic or your car won`t start just before an important appointment, it won`t be very amusing. Even so, the consequences could be interesting.

Focus is on organisation and administration. This is perhaps not your strongest suit; and yes, you could be left scrabbling for misplaced paperwork – though true, you could also defy the odds and show others you know exactly where things are at and that you have a clear plan for the next few months. It would be unsurprising if your artistic talents were not on show. Indeed, it`s your amazing creativity that could get you out of difficulties. At a very basic level, it is likely important that you remember that yours is one of the Water signs of the Zodiac. You `feel` things whilst those born under the Air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) thrive on talking through ideas – often not getting on with the tasks in hand. Not allowing these individuals to create too many waves could be seen as this week`s challenge.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Sagittarius
Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

When you made certain arrangements there was little likelihood of obstacles. Since then, however, a range of problems has arisen, some so complex you`ve no idea what to do. Forget about a quick fix. Discuss the dilemmas you`re facing along with existing plans, asking others` advice or even getting them involved. This won`t just work brilliantly; you`ll actually enjoy the resulting sense of teamwork.

You might accept an assignment other people turn down due to it being such a big challenge. Progress will be slow but sure. Give yourself a pat on the back. You should be proud of the fact that you are prepared to tackle something you`ve never done before. Enjoy favourite hobbies with your amour. Are you single? A new romance looks promising and this relationship could make a happy difference to your future.

It is perhaps as well that your sign is noted for sociability. It certainly seems that you will have many new contacts to make presently. These could be health related. It might also be that others want to know more about the past and delight in your archived material. Your ability to store, and then retrieve is highlighted. A further possibility is that it will be recommended that you join a focus or educational group. Being part of this team could make singular difference to your general outlook. It is probable that you will come into contact with many experts and highly qualified individuals. Though you may be happy to take their advice, you might not wish to commit fully until after next weekend`s New Moon.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Capricorn
Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

You`re facing a range of tricky situations. While no single one is overwhelming, each involves either making demands of somebody, disappointing others, or both. Tempting as it is to keep the resulting encounters brief and to the point, instead chat about the issues involved. Ask if you can help and, equally, actively seek advice. By the week`s close, you`ll be amazed, and pleased, what you`ve achieved.

Someone in the family needs some breathing space to think through some new ideas and suggestions. You will understand their need to think things over and although you feel some changes are necessary, you aren`t in a rush. Mistakes can be avoided by taking your time. Job activities seem to multiply every day. A team effort will be rewarding but there is a business decision you need to discuss with a partner. Their support is integral to your success.

Anticipate that others will crowd around you. They likely want you to take the lead. You may not be quite ready for this. Despite the boost of the Equinox and the presence of both Mercury and Venus at the apex of your solar chart, it might suit you better to appraise a situation slowly and make your move after next weekend`s New Moon. That move though is likely coming. First, it`s essential to make full assessment. You are perhaps right in feeling that someone is making a drama out of a crisis. It`s also possible that other facts still have to come to light or that forms have not been filled in correctly. There is high probability of you being involved in education but presumably at the role of passing information on and not as a qualified teacher.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Aquarius
Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

Over the past weeks, you`ve been forced to reorganise or, possibly, shed certain longstanding arrangements. While, at the time, you fought these changes, even now you`re experiencing an unexpected sense of freedom. Better yet, you`re able to explore activities and new ideas that, only recently, simply wouldn`t have been possible. Tempting as it is to make fixed plans, continue to explore. You`ve lots yet to discover.

Your charisma shines when you`re doing things you love. You`re in a good position where influential people are concerned. People will sit up and listen to you and your brilliant ideas could change the course of a business-related matter. Your thoughts are on your main ambitions and how to make more money. If you`re interviewing for a job, don`t hesitate to request that you should get paid what you are worth.

It`s highly likely that you will fall into the role of mentor. The presence of the Sun, Mercury and Venus all in an area of the chart that is about guidance suggests that others will look to you for advice and direction. Whilst you might see the way forward very clearly – especially when the Moon joins Mars in Virgo over Thursday and Friday, it would perhaps be as well not to be too dogmatic in your views. It may be that others need extra time to consider options. The presence of so many planets in Air signs suggests that you won`t be short of ideas as to how you might develop your career. To that end, it would be unsurprising if you chose to at least consider enrolling on a course or undertake a research project. In this, you could surprise others with your choice and interest.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Pisces
Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

The last thing you want is to disappoint others. However, recent changes in circumstances are forcing you to rethink arrangements you`ve regarded as solid. Discuss these changes frankly. You`ll be surprised, and thankful, to discover others are relieved, as they`ve been juggling plans, too. Now you can make new plan s together, something that will be as exciting and informative, as it will be rewarding.

An emotional situation will become draining if it continues without being resolved. If you give an ultimatum, let someone see that you do mean what you say. You might need to spend more time with people who replenish your energy instead of draining it. A business plan will hit a snag but that doesn`t mean you have to change course or give up on it. You will find a way to work around it and others will be impressed by your achievement.

The weekend`s Equinox coincided with your two ruling planets, Jupiter and Neptune, coming to their Last Quarter phase. As you might imagine, this represents a turning point. It`s often said that Pisces expect others to read their minds. That perhaps will not be true this week. Indeed, it`s highly likely that you are able to express yourself very clearly and that your particular vision of the future will be much appreciated. It is of course crucial that this is followed up by good administration and organisation. For this, you might well need a counterpart or backup.. Though perhaps much of this can be delegated, it will nevertheless be necessary for you to focus and give attention to detail especially over Thursday and Friday. In doing so however you could smooth your path and ensure that an advertising or information-giving project moves off smoothly as scheduled at the beginning of October.
