Male Ancestor Prayer
Spell Date: Sunday, June 18, 2017

On this Father’s Day, honor your male ancestors with this simple yet powerful offering. You will need one white candle and a quiet space to perform this. Ground and center your energy, light the candle, and say this prayer:

“With this flame, I light a torch along the road. Let it be a beacon for the fathers who built my blood and the men who made the family line. Let it be a beacon for the sons who grew up and the brothers we have lost. I light this torch to acknowledge their struggles, to appreciate their works, and to honor their memory. I light this torch to be in spirit with them once more and to walk this path together with them in hallowed breath. Blessed are the fathers who planted the seed. Blessed are the fathers who tended the crop. Blessed are the fathers who became the earth!”

Honoring Loss, Opening to Fullness
Spell Date: Saturday, June 17, 2017

There are times in our lives when things are taken from us, when we let things go. These are also sacred times of witness. Here is a process to honor the transition from loss into fullness again.

Create a symbol and draw or paint it on black paper with white ink or chalk to represent your loss. Then draw a symbol on white paper in black color to represent opening to fullness. Enter a state of meditation and spend time gazing at and holding each of the symbols on their own, then notice how they feel in relationship to each other. Begin to allow your consciousness to shift into a trance state. There is a doorway between these symbols, or perhaps you will just know what to do or how to surrender in order for the transition to take place. Take three deep breaths of grounding and power. Burn both pieces of paper together in a heatproof container.

Love Meditation
Spell Date: Friday, June 16, 2017

How’s your love life? If it’s perfect, you’re lucky. If not, use this meditation to focus on love in your life. Maybe you’re seeking it or you’re in a challenging relationship. That’s not unusual, as relationships take a great deal of patience and strength.

Whatever your situation, meditate on your specific needs. The goal is to consider how to resolve any problems you’re facing or find ways to open yourself to receiving love. Light a pink candle and sit quietly. Hold a piece of rose quartz if you have one. As you chant the following, see yourself being open to receiving insight:

“Love can be a challenge, relationships take care,
Let me open up my heart with someone I can share.
Help me know the one I need, to form a bond that’s true,
Let the love that’s in my life endure, increase, renew.”

Allow the candle to burn out.

A Time-out Spell
Spell Date: Thursday, June 15, 2017

As we arrive at this year’s midpoint, it’s time to take a break and think about what’s really important to us. So take a time-out with this spell.

You’ll need a small battery-powered clock, a sheet of paper, a pen, and a yellow candle. Darken the room and remove the battery from the clock. Let time stand still—this is time for you. Light the candle. On the sheet of paper, make a list of all the goals you’ve achieved so far this year and a list of those you haven’t met. Don’t feel guilty about not accomplishing everything. Gaze at the flame. Begin to feel empowered. Hold your paper and say:

“I’ll only accomplish what I can, Without guilt, without shame.”

When you feel ready, turn on the lights, open the windows, snuff out the candle, and set the clock to the correct time. Face the rest of the year feeling in control.

An Energizing Bath
Spell Date: Wednesday, June 14, 2017

Summer is just around the corner. It’s a perfect time to clear and reenergize body and soul.

Fill a bath-size tea bag with a handful of fresh or dried rosemary (for psychic support) and lavender (for inspiration), or knot the herbs into a tea towel.

Light nine candles in your bathroom, and draw a steaming hot bath. Pass the bath bag over your head nine times, saying:

“With fatigue and stress behind, may joy attend me, nine times nine.”

Add the bath bag to the tub and swirl it clockwise through the water nine times, repeating the mantra. Settle into your bath. Using cupped hands, spill bathwater over your head nine times, imagining negativity being washed away and the charged waters anointing you with energy anew.

Enjoy your bath, relaxing, meditating, or reading until the water cools. Finish with a quick shower, then rub in moisturizing cream and don soft, clean pajamas. Extinguish the candles.

Bodies of Water
Spell Date: Tuesday, June 13, 2017

Yemaya, also known as Yemanjá, is the African orisha of oceans and seas. The goddess Sedna is the Alaskan goddess whose severed fingers formed the creatures of the sea.

Yemaya is the Great Mother who gave her love and protection to her children as they crossed the great water in the bowels of slave ships. To this very day, Brazilians honor her with tiny white boats set afloat on ocean waves.

Call upon the deities of your choosing with honor and respect. Use their stories to send blessings to the great waters of our planet. Without the great oceans we would not be, for we need the moist earth for our crops and food. Consider donating to a charity that protects the seas.

Computer Prosperity Spell
Spell Date: Monday, June 12, 2017

In the modern world, many of us make money by working on computers. Whether programming them, servicing them, or just using them to send information, we rely on computers a lot. This poses a challenge, because technology and magic don’t get along very well. They tend to short-circuit each other.

Enter technomagic. This uses synthetic materials and energy instead of the nature-based kind. Metal, glass, plastic, and other humanmade things carry the spark of technomagic—and computers are basically the techie version of an enchanted mirror.

For this spell, you will need four golden coins. Put one under each corner of your computer, saying:

“By north, south, east, and west,
Be this computer blessed.
Bring forth prosperity
And wealth—so mote it be!”

When you need a little help, like if you’re applying for a job online, just reach out and rub one of the coins.

Heartwings Love Notes 781 Fatherhood is more than Begetting
Heartwings says, “Whether or not a man has his own progeny, he can be fatherly.”

The day honoring fathers actually sprang to life in 1910, the same year as the day honoring mothers. However, Mother’s day was officially set in 1914 and took hold much faster. Father’s Day also arose in other places, each unbeknownst to the other and was celebrated sporadically after that. In 1957 Senator Margaret Chase smith proposed it be officially established. However in the end it wasn’t until 1972 that President Nixon signed a congressional resolution firmly establishing it like Mother’s Day, on a continuing basis.

It may seem strange that it took much longer to establish a day for fathers, yet until fairly recently in our western society, their role has been more that of the protector and provider than of the nurturer. My children’s father was a case in point. My first child was about 6 months old when I had to go out and leave her in his care. I asked him to change her diaper if need be. On my return she wore an unfolded cloth diaper, pinned at the corners with the rest of the cloth dangling between her legs. Men simply didn’t care for their infants then.

It delights my heart to see fathers caring for their infants or toddlers in public. This is a new phenomenon in our society and I believe it is an important step toward happier children and a more balanced family life. The tenderness of men is a strong instinct and one I am very happy to see given a chance to blossom. In many older families one or more animal companions may take the place of human children as objects of nurturing love. It is healthy to care for a dependent whether animal or human. The heart thrives on the giving of affection.

My husband Stephen has taken to fathering a collection of succulents. He has evolved a garden in pots that he tends and looks after, calling them “the babies.” Two years ago he began with one small succulent garden. It was all his own idea. Now his original single pot has expanded to five and he cares for them tenderly. There is no limit to the nurturing instincts of fatherhood. They can be applied to any and all of creation. Our world came into being with a combination of different energies motivated by a creative force that continues to this day. We are the gardeners here, and the more participation in its nurturance that can be encouraged, the better.

May you enjoy fatherhood or motherhood as you nurture loved ones.

Blessings and Best Regards, Tasha Halpert

Domestic Tranquility: When The Wife’s Away

Tasha walked around the kitchen and looked at me in genuine amazement. “The stove’s as bright and shiny as it was the day I left,” she smiled. “Good for you!”
“Should be,” I replied. “I never used it.”
“What! But I was at the meditation retreat for four days.” She stared at me curiously. She opened the fridge and looked around inside. “I see most of the strawberries are gone.”
“Yes and the sweet potatoes you cooked too.”
“But you didn’t heat them up on the stove?”
“No just mainlined them straight from the ‘fridge. You must understand that when you’re away for any length of time I get kind of,” I searched for exact word, Neanderthal!”
“What exactly do you mean?
“An unused pot needs no scrubbing,” I smiled. “Same goes for other cooking utensils as well as excess dishes and silverware.”
“Kind of like from fridge to mouth with no intermediaries?” she asked.
“Exactly!” I grinned proudly. “That way the kitchen always looks like it’s straight out of Good Housekeeping. No muss, no fuss.”
“Many men like to cook.” She said vaguely.
“I’m just not one of them!”
“But you’re so helpful in the kitchen when I cook.”
“That’s different. Then it’s only fair. You’re here and we’re doing something together.”
She sat down at the kitchen table and stared at me in bewilderment. “You mean you only used one dish?”
“When necessary I used a fork and spoon too,” I felt proud of my accomplishment. “It was like I was on some sort of Zen dietary retreat. Ate the strawberries straight from the tub. Of course I did use the fancy Italian cheese slicer, but only occasionally and reluctantly.”
“Well that’s something!”
“Most wives would be thrilled to come home to such a pristine kitchen. Do you have any idea how much time is spent washing pots and pans and cleaning up in here everyday? Not to mention the time it takes to cook.”
“Well yes.” She said hesitantly.
“I hope you appreciate my non-aggression culinary pact. If not used it stays clean and needs no washing.”
She smiled and shook her head in loving bewilderment. “But whatever did you eat?”
“Believe me, I ate well. A few radishes here and there, spoonfuls of applesauce, and of course the goat cheese even though that meant I had to wash off the slicer.”
“Sliced radishes and goat cheese?”
“You always tell me to eat vegetables. So I made it a special point to.” I felt a little self-conscious. “Plus scallions, sprouts and a few slithers of garlic not to mention pears and oranges. There’s much to be said for an uncooked diet.”
“Just so you wouldn’t have to cook or clean up?”
“Can you think of a better reason? I did finish up some of the candy we had left over from the holidays, and occasionally gobs of organic peanut butter plus some of that delicious blackberry jam we got from Oregon.”
“But you didn’t bother to make any toast because then crumbs might have found their way into the toaster oven?”
“Exactly!” I smiled. “You got it! I love you!”
She sighed, shook her head and looked up to the heavens. “What I’m trying to understand is were you practicing a discipline or just being lazy?”
“Maybe a little of both,” I laughed. “I wasn’t really being lazy per se. I could have easily eaten out. But the idea for me was to touch upon the noble savage that dwells within all men but it dulled by socialization.”
“What are you talking about?”
I smiled, “men are less outwardly civilized when they’re not around women. Then they can fend for themselves especially when it comes to eating and cooking.”
“That’s fine with me,” she said a touch of bewilderment in her voice.
“I wouldn’t want you to have to feel civilized because of me.”
I smiled. “At least during your absence I passed my challenges with flying colors.”
“Not washing dishes?”
“That and not having to make the bed because I slept elsewhere?”
“I can attest that we have a living room couch worthy of any houseguest. Why with a couch that spacious and comfortable we could even if we wanted become an air B&B.
“You’d put strangers up on our couch?”.
“Just a thought. It proved even more comfortable than I’d have thought.”
“So you slept in the living room the entire time I was away?”
“I felt like a kid too, staying up late watching TV. I even watched three foreign films in your absence.”
“That’s good I won’t feel as though I missed anything.”
“Three directed by Luis Bunuel. Each one picked apart conventional rationality. With Bunuel logic falls by the wayside.”
“I wonder if he ate out of a can while his wife was away?”
“Are you upset? Please don’t be. I performed superhuman feats regressing into my primal self.”
“Well that’s very brave of you.. I wouldn’t want you to have wasted time bending over a hot stove or making our bed in my absence.” ”
What else did you do? Didn’t you ever eat out?””
“I thought I’d be going out to dinner. Mike invited me to join him but then his wife got sick and he couldn’t do it.
But there’s a Chinese Restaurant right round the corner. You could have gone there.”
“Yes but it poured and besides there was plenty of rice pudding.”
She smiled. “I’ll have to go away more often so you can regress into your primal self that way.”
“Oh no need. I wouldn’t want to repeat the experience. Besides the rice pudding carried me along.”
You ate the same thing every day?”
“Of course,” I smiled. “It was delicious and enabled me not to have to think about cooking.” I hugged her. “But now that you’re back would you like to go out to supper?
She looked in the fridge. “Now that I’m back I’m looking forward to cooking for you.”
Oh cook for us tomorrow instead. You have no idea how much I’ve really missed eating out with you in a restaurant.”

By Madisyn Taylor

Humans for the most part are not born consciously knowing what their purpose is and it must be found through exploration.

Most living things belong to a particular soul group and are born knowing their purpose in life. An animal will spend its day foraging for food, taking care of itself and its young, and creating a home. No one tells an animal to do this, yet it instinctively knows how. Humans, for the most part, are not born consciously knowing what their purpose is.

Purpose gives our life meaning. When you discover your purpose, you can live your life with intention and make choices that serve your objective for why you are here on the planet. Finding your purpose is not always easy. You must embrace life wholeheartedly, explore many different pathways, and allow yourself to grow.
Your purpose is as unique as you are and will evolve as you move through life. You don’t need anyone’s permission to fulfill your purpose, and no one can tell you what that purpose is. Finding and fulfilling your purpose can be a lifelong endeavor. To figure out what your purpose is, ask yourself what drives you ? not what forces you out of bed in the morning, but what makes you glad to be alive. Make a list of activities that you wish you were involved in or think about a career path that you would love to embark upon. These are the endeavors that can help you fulfill your purpose and bring you the most satisfaction.

Picture yourself working on projects that don’t interest you or fulfill your purpose, yet they help satisfy your basic survival needs. Imagine how living this way each day would make you feel. Next, picture yourself devoting your time to projects that spark your imagination, inspire, excite, and satisfy you. More often than not, these activities are some of the ways that you can fulfill your life purpose. Time spent on these endeavors will never feel like a waste. Live your life with purpose, and you will feel significant and capable because every action you take and each choice you make will have meaning to it.

Past Life Regression
By Madisyn Taylor

The effects of a past life can manifest in your current life in many ways but should be used as a tool, not an excuse.
Inside our subconscious lie our memories from past lives. Though we seldom remember even having lived these past lives, the experiences we had living them have had a hand in shaping who we are today. The effects of a past life can manifest in a later lifetime in many ways – phobias, self-limiting beliefs, physical problems, or innate creative abilities. Violence, death, and trauma in a past life may show up as fear, uncontrollable anger, or low self-esteem in this one, while positive experiences from an earlier lifetime may cause you to feel strongly drawn to certain people, places, or objects without knowing why.

Many people turn to past life regression therapists to revisit their past lives. Past life regression allows you to recall the memories and emotions associated with a past life that continue to exert an influence over your present reality. You may not have even been aware that these experiences are still affecting you today. Past life regression therapy can offer you a unique opportunity to reconnect with these memories so you can understand them and free yourself.

To discover more about your past lives, consider keeping a notebook where you can record anything that could be a memory from a different lifetime. You may also feel drawn to a particular period in history, a seemingly unfamiliar locale, or a new person you’ve met who seems oddly familiar. Pick a time and choose a place where you can relax. Envision your body being filled with healing white light. Remember that nothing you see or hear will harm you. Ask yourself what you hope to achieve through regression and connect with your inner vision. Observe what you see without judgment. When you are done, think about how what you experienced relates to your present life. There may be beliefs from a past life that you are still operating under but are now ready to let go of. The significance of your past life memory may not be immediately obvious until much later. You can make the most of your past lives by learning from them. While past life regression can be an exciting journey, it is not a substitute for living in the present where we are most needed right here and now.

And to Her we shall return
Like a drop of rain, going to the ocean”
“May the circle be open, but unbroken,
May the love of the Goddess be ever in your heart.
Merry Meet and Merry Part
And Merry Meet Again!”
