
We celebrated my sons birthday last night, how time flies. He was only 3 when we made the move to the woods, so he has grown up foraging, moon gardening, and learning of the fauna, flora and fungi of these woods.

This birthday cake was my representation of that, our memories of being in the woods together, then and now. His insistence on ogres being within the wood when he was little, showing me the tell tale signs as we walked along the way. And I telling him of our wind chimes, known by mothers and wise women alike to keep said ogres at bay. So I was looking for that dark place in the wood for my inspiration, where ogres and little boys imaginations dwell…
