Light A Candle Today!
In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

Coventry Creations
March 7, 2022 – March 13, 2022
After an extremely busy first week of March, the cosmos slows down drastically, with only one major aspect and Mercury leaving Aquarius and joining the Sun, Jupiter, and Neptune in Pisces.
The week begins with the Moon moving through Taurus. The Moon in Taurus is about self-care and pleasure, so it’s a wonderful time to go to the spa, get your nails done, or enjoy a massage. Wonderful food is also a must when the Moon moves through the sign of the Bull, so indulge in some pleasurable culinary treats you enjoy.
Midweek, Mercury moves into sensitive Pisces, and you may go into emotional overload because your receptivity to others will be on high. You may need to practice protection, ground regularly, and enact energetic shields while Mercury swims through the sign of the fishes.
This weekend, the Sun forms its annual conjunction with Neptune. It’s the time of the year to check in on your spiritual growth and look at your future spiritual goals. You may need to withdraw from others and spend some time meditating and communicating with your spiritual allies. Furthermore, you may be called upon to help someone in need. Remember to love others, but take care of yourself first.

Llewellyn’s Spell A Day
The Witch’s Cottage
MARCH 06, 2022 BY ASTREA TAYLOR
Today, take stock of what really recharges you. As much as possible, limit your usage of electricity and devices. Whenever I do this, I imagine I’m in a witch’s cottage in the woods, with no electricity or internet. It really connects me with my body and the energy at hand.
When you’re ready to begin, put your devices away and say:
Here and now, disconnected,
I find myself better than expected.
Without a phone or any wattage,
I’m peaceful in my witch’s cottage.
Ground into your body and feel the energy around you. Do what comes naturally. Instead of watching television, read a book, make art, or take a walk. When it gets dark, light candles instead of turning on lights. Send psychic messages instead of texts. Before going to sleep, blow out the candles and think about what recharged you. Send gratitude to yourself for this fun experiment.

Self-Care
MARCH 05, 2022 BY CHARLYNN WALLS
Self-care is important not just in your daily life but in your magickal practice as well. If you take the time to heal yourself, then you will have the energy you need to tap into later.
To restore your energy, take a ritual bath or shower. Add any scent you associate with strength to the water. The herbs and oils in the mint or citrus family are some of my favorites. Allow yourself to soak in the water and feel yourself taking in what you need from the herbs in order to remove stress or anxiety. As the bath is drained or the water from the shower is flowing down the drain, say:
As the water flows down, may
my strength rebound.
Follow up this spell with a solid night’s sleep for best effect.

Swan Sewel
MARCH 04, 2022 BY NATALIE ZAMAN
On this day in 1877, Swan Lake debuted on stage in Moscow. The ballet tells a love story affected by elements of stability (the white swan) and chaos (the black swan). White and black, light and shadow, are part of life and are necessary for balance. Create a sewel (a charm made of string and feathers) to aid in this work. Find or purchase a black feather and a white feather (swan feathers if you can!). Tie a string to each, saying as you do so:
White swan, bring structure.
Blank swan, bring spontaneity.
Tie the strings together and say:
Bless me with the light to see
And the adventure of what will be.
Hang the sewel over your doorway or by your bed to bring the balance of swan magic to your life.

Ancestral Magic
MARCH 03, 2022 BY DALLAS JENNIFER COBB
March is Women’s History Month, a good time to perform ancestral magic. Envision the women of your lineage: your mother, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and beyond; your cousins, aunts, and great-aunts. Maybe you have photos of them you can place on your altar, or things of theirs, such as jewelry or dishes. As you look at them, invoke the resilience of these strong women who survived, thrived, and had children. Their strength and resilience are written in your DNA. Envision a strand of light connecting you to them. Inhale strength and resilience, then exhale healing back along the ancestral line. Incant:
I call on the brave women of my lineage
to bless me with strength, resilience,
wisdom, and joy. Let the good lives
of these women live in me always.
May I know the collected wisdom of
my foremothers and be held in their
tender care, and may I heal all genetic
wounds I carry. So mote it be.

Dark Moon Divination
MARCH 02, 2022 BY SUSAN PESZNECKER
The dark (new) moon is a prime time for divination, with Earth’s energies quiet and pulled inward.
You’ll need a tarot or oracle deck and a dark cloth. Find the date and time of the next new moon (2:24 a.m. EDT on April 1). Work in a quiet room and wear dark clothing.
Spread out the cloth. Shuffle and/or cut your deck, pausing to see what comes to mind. You may already have a question to ask the cards, or perhaps something will occur to you. If nothing comes, proceed.
Deal one card in the center of the cloth, then lay cards at 9:00 (on a clock face), 12:00, 3:00, and 6:00.
The center card represents you. The 6:00 card is your current situation; the 9:00 card reveals emotional obstacles; the 12:00 card (full moon position) shows the situation’s future possibilities; and the 3:00 card points to obstacles outside of yourself.
Let meanings flow between the cards. Keep them on your altar until the next new moon.

The Triple Flames of Success
MARCH 01, 2022 BY MELISSA TIPTON
Mardi Gras is a day of celebrating life’s riches, and this spell aligns with this energetic current to empower your magic. You’ll need three candles, which can be purple, green, and gold/yellow, or any color(s) you choose. Set the candles in a row on a heatproof surface.
Choose a desired magical outcome, and spend some time in meditation, really conjuring up the sights, emotions, sounds, and maybe even smells and tastes of enjoying this success.
Start by lighting the candle on the left. This candle is your present moment, and you’re setting it alight with the energy of your successful outcome. Use this candle to ignite the second one, which represents the stepping-stone stage, where the energy of your spell is weaving the threads of your magic into fruition. Finally, light the third candle, sparking the flame of your successful outcome. Give thanks, and let the candles burn down safely or snuff them out with gratitude.

Magical Sleep Technique
FEBRUARY 28, 2022 BY DALLAS JENNIFER COBB
Sometimes insomnia can make us crazy as we lie awake at night, worrying or thinking. A lack of sleep can negatively impact our physical, mental, and emotional health. What if you had a magic spell that helped you fall asleep when you wanted to? This magical technique can both provoke and invoke sleep when you want or need it, whether you wish to get to sleep at night, go back to sleep after waking, or nap in the afternoon.
Lie down and close your eyes. Place your hands on your thighs, palms down. Begin to gently tap your fingers against your thighs for about three minutes, and become aware of your breathing. Breathe deep into your belly, and as you exhale, release all tension. Gradually slow down the tapping, and keep breathing. Notice how your breath slows, your body relaxes, and your mind quiets. Before you know it, you will be asleep. Magically.

Heartwings Love Notes 1024: Beauty is Where You Find It
Heartwings says, “Keep your eyes open for the unexpected.”
Driving the roads of Massachusetts, I am struck by the beauty of the bare branches lining the roadsides. There is something very special about their tracery against the winter sky. March in Northern New England is still a winter month. As with most days this time of year, the roadsides are bare of snow except for the occasional dinosaur, as I call the grey, crusty grit and leaf piles that remain here and there. The trees seem to stand out more in their original loveliness.
Soon, I know I will see a kind of glow envelope the branches. I’m not sure if that is my imagination or if I am seeing the promise of leaves to come. I do know that willows seem to release a color before the leaves begin to sprout. Long ago I wrote a poem about that. It was the first time I had ever noticed that on a tree.
Spring will soon come, but for now there is the beauty of the limbs against the sky to admire. From the large doors that lead onto the porch outside my bedroom, I can also see the light glinting off the branches of trees nearby. I notice this when the sun hits them as the day progresses. It’s a fine treat. When my foot is on the gas pedal, I can’t take the time to notice details or I would get distracted and not be a safe driver.
There are other things to be noted from my bedroom besides this silvery shininess. During the later spring and summer, there is a plethora of loveliness from there or from nearly anywhere we might choose to look. In the bleaker months, however, the search for beauty needs to be a conscious act, one we might even take for a meditative practice. Making the time to do this can give us something to think about besides the sad news of the world and the terrifying stories of violence about which we can do nothing, and so we feel a sense of helplessness and grief.
Yet it does us no good to dwell on any situation we are helpless to address. My response is to send a prayer and envision light surrounding the people and places involved. There are also charities that collect items to send, and funds that can be donated to by those who wish. That only helps some against the barrage of sorrow that awaits us when we turn on the news. There is a temptation to ignore it yet then we would not know what was happening.
Sad and difficult as it is to watch and see what is going on, it is also an opportunity to recognize how blessed we are to be safe and warm in our comfortable houses. Thankfulness for that good fortune needs to be uppermost in our hearts as we look around us. The special beauty we see in the sparse landscape of the end of winter is a reminder that it is darkest before dawn. As we pray for peace and an end to the suffering, we can hold onto that spare loveliness while we wait for spring.
May you seek out and find whatever beauty there is near you.
Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert

Trusting Spiritual Assistance
Remembering to say ‘thank you’ to our guides is important for the completion of the help they have given.
We may have become accustomed to asking for help from the unseen world — whether from angels, guides, or ancestral spirits — but sometimes we may forget to close our connection afterwards with a thank you. When we connect to these energies for assistance, it is much like a phone connection. Forgetting to close the conversation with a proper “goodbye” is like not hanging up. While that line is still connected, others can have trouble getting through, while in the meantime, batteries are being drained. Saying “thank you” is a way of releasing our concerns into trusted hands and getting out of the way so that the universe’s divine order can work on our behalf.
As spiritual beings, we may talk about “staying connected,” but our connection needs to be with our source. We can plug in and recharge, but we run on batteries in between, and every connection we make utilizes some of our personal power. Even being surrounded by people that energize us has its limits, and at some point we will feel ready to go off on our own to do what is ours to do. Instead of trying to be constantly connected, we can turn to these beings for help in a way that is more like placing an order. We contact them, ask for what we need, and then say thank you and goodbye.
Beings of light don’t require our gratitude; it is an energetic acknowledgement of trust and release that benefits us. When we bring ourselves to a sense of being grateful, we affirm that what we have asked is already done. Then we can move forward with confidence to do the things we are meant to do, while knowing that all will be well.

The Druid’s Garden
UPG and Me: On Gnosis, Personal Gnosis, and Knowing in NeoPagan Practices
As with any spiritual path, the question of how we build knowledge, what we believe, and where that knowledge comes from is important. I think it is particularly important to druids as we have so few fragments of the Ancient Druid tradition. We are constantly asking ourselves–where can we gain knowledge from? How do we build knowledge, and from what sources?
What is Gnosis?
Entering the Dreaming (Hawthorn card from the Plant Spirit Oracle Deck)
Gnosis refers to “knowledge of spiritual mysteries.” Gnostic traditions are those rooted in the idea that knowledge can be gained through esoteric (inner) practices, such as communion with a deity, prayer, meditation, repetitive activity, dreams, and so forth, and that that knowledge is important and valued. Throughout history and in many different spiritual traditions, Gnosis was an important part of any spirituality. Seeking the mysteries on the deepest level often requires contemplation, silence, and communion with the living earth–as we have seen in monastic traditions throughout the ages. In the Gnostic traditions, this gnosis was said to be the most important knowledge one could hold and this belief transcends anything that might be provided by external sources. In other words, a Gnostic gets their messages and truths from spirit/deity above all else.
Gnosis is important to those on the druid path for several reasons. First, druidry (at least the kind of druidry I practice through OBOD and AODA) is non-dogmatic and focused on individuals’ spiritual development. This means, in AODA, for example, that druids work to hone their own personal spiritual development, spiritual expression, channel Awen, and wildcraft their druidry. These practices, which form the core of those practicing druidry (especially AODA druidry) require you to localize and personalize your understanding; and thus, are enriched by your own personal gnosis.
Most people who practice druidry use a combination of personal gnosis (inner knowing) with external knowledge seeking (outer sources). A good of this is through working with sacred plants: if you wanted to work with maple trees, it would benefit to you to read some books about maples: their ecology, their function in the ecosystem, how humans may have used them for food or medicine (such as tapping trees for syrup), and also traditional folk uses. But the key part of this is that you balance that outside knowing with your own direct experiences in nature: observation, meditation, and spirit communication. It is through these different inputs you can develop a personal spiritual path rooted in nature that also supports the development of personal gnosis.

In Touch with True Emotions
Our bellies can be wonderful monitors of our emotional health, and the truth can always be found there.
So often, emotions that we long to express get stored in our bodies instead. The space where this most often happens is in our bellies. Rather than telling people, or even ourselves, the way we truly feel, we may stuff our true feelings deep inside of us, where they take up space until we are ready to let them go. Stuffing our feelings in our bellies may feel like the “safe” response, since we then don’t really have to deal with our emotions. Yet, doing so can actually be detrimental to our emotional well-being and physical health.
One way to connect with and release your emotions is to do a focused exercise with your stomach area. Take a moment to center yourself with some deep breathing and quiet meditation, relaxing your body fully and turning off the chatter in your brain. With your right hand on your stomach, tell yourself three times: “Please reveal to me my true emotions.” Listen for the answers. Repeat the exercise as many times as you would like, allowing yourself to drop deeper into your body each time. Notice any physical response in the stomach area, whether you have a warm, relaxed feeling in the middle of your body or if you feel tight knots in response to any emotions that do come up. You may even want to write down any answers that come to you. Remember that the body doesn’t lie.
Releasing our pent up feelings from our bellies can prevent disease and allow us to live more authentic and expressive lives. Sometimes, if too much emotional energy builds up inside of us, a blowout can result that can cause discomfort. You can help to alleviate this compression by doing the same exercise and adding sound to your emotional release. The more guttural the sounds released through your mouth, the more emotions you are likely letting go. Releasing your emotions from your belly doesn’t have to be painful and hard; rather, it can be organic and effortless. It’s important not to judge whatever comes up for you. We tend to stuff our feelings in our bellies when we are ashamed of them or not ready to express them. There is nothing wrong with having feelings, whatever they may be. You can’t help your feelings; if anything, you can help yourself by acknowledging the truth of your emotions so you can set yourself free.

Sight Versus Vision
Vision comes from within and shows us how to navigate the realms of thought, feeling, and emotion.
Sight is the ability to see the physical world while vision is the gift of seeing beyond it. Sight enables us to take the physical world in so we can participate in it with knowledge. It brings us pleasure through our eyes, which perceive the colors and shapes of all the myriad expressions of nature and human beings. It helps us feel in control, allowing us to see what is coming toward us, which way we are going, and exactly where we are standing at a given moment. We are able to read signs and books, navigate the interiors of buildings with ease, sense and perceive how a person is feeling by the expressions that cross her face.
As anyone who has lost their eyesight can tell you, though, there are things that are clearer when you cannot see the world through your eyes. One of the reasons many meditation instructors advise sitting with the eyes closed is because we automatically become more in touch with our inner world when we are not distracted by the outer world. It is in this state that vision becomes our mode of seeing. Vision comes from within and shows us how to navigate the realms of thought, feeling, and emotion. It enables us to see things that aren’t yet manifested in the world of form, and it also connects us to that part of ourselves that exists separately from the world of form.
As we age, even those of us with perfect eyesight will generally lose some of our acuity, but this loss is usually replaced with inner vision. This is the time of life when we are meant to turn inside and take what are sometimes the very first steps of a journey that cannot be traced on a map. We call upon intuition and feel our way along a path that ultimately carries us beyond the realm we can see with our eyes and into the land of spirit.

10 GRAVESTONE CLUES TO FIND YOUR ANCESTORS
by Cathy Wallace
Gravestone clues may be just the thing you need to break through your genealogical brick walls and find your ancestors! Headstones are frequently overlooked as tools for family history research but YOU can be a gravestone detective!
Even if you know the names and key dates relating to your ancestors, their gravestones might supply surprising information not found anywhere else. Gravestone clues can help you find additional relatives, give you a sense of your ancestor’s personalities, and provide further ideas for research.
In order to locate a gravestone, you first need to find the cemetery location. This can be done by using death certificates and obituaries.
After you arrive at the cemetery, you will need to find the gravestone.
If the cemetery has not been documented yet, you could visit the cemetery office or just walk up and down the rows until you spot the right names. But wait . . . if the gravestones have been photographed with the BillionGraves app, just enter a name and/or date in the app on your phone and you’ll be walking right to the gravestone in just minutes!
This gravestone reveals the following information about the deceased:
Full Name
Parent’S Names
Birth Year
Spouse’S Name
Residence
Occupation
Relocation
Death Date
And More
Imagine if an entire family plot was filled with gravestones like this one! Genealogy would be a snap!
But even if a final resting place does not look like this, there are still many ways you can use gravestone clues to grow your family tree.
Gravestone Clues to Grow Your Family Tree: #1 – Names
When you locate your ancestor’s gravestone, you may discover their full legal name, maiden name, and or even their nickname.
In some cultures – African and African American in particular – it is very common for everyone to have both a legal name and a nickname. They are usually referred to by their nickname for their entire life. Even their closest friends and family may not have heard their full legal name until after they die – but their entire community knows their nickname.
Gravestone Clues to Grow Your Family Tree: #2 – Relationships
A gravestone may include much more than one name. You’ve probably seen gravestones that list a husband and wife.
Sometimes the backside of a gravestone will list all of the children in the family. A gravestone may also include the names of several generations of family members.
Angela Pecoraro Guido of Meriden, Connecticut transcribed more than 50,000 gravestones during her first year of volunteering with BillionGraves.
She said, “I believe that in life, it is important to give back especially to causes that matter to you. I have no idea if anyone is going to be looking for a gravestone that has been photographed and transcribed. I can hope though that if they are, our work will give them the answers they are seeking.”
Records for women are harder to find without a maiden name, so Angela makes sure to record their maiden name and relationships when she is transcribing.
She said, “The words ‘wife’, ‘mother’, or ‘grandmother’ on the gravestone are clues to look for a marriage record, a birth record, and perhaps a child’s marriage record as well. So much information can be gathered off a gravestone if you stop looking at it as just another name and a dash.”
A relationship title can also give a clue of which records to not spend time looking for. For example, if a gravestone has a title like “uncle”, as this one does, you can be fairly sure that this man was not a father or grandfather. You can just start looking for his siblings and their children – which would have been his nieces and nephews.
Even if you can’t visit your ancestor’s cemetery in person, you can use the BillionGraves Plus feature to see who is buried in nearby graves.
Gravestone Clues to Grow Your Family Tree: #3 – Residence
It’s a great discovery when a gravestone shows birth and death locations or residences.
Gravestone Clues to Grow Your Family Tree: #4 – Cause of Death
This gravestone from Narracan Cemetery in the Shire of Baw Baw, Victoria, Australia lists the cause of death for most of the family members.
John W. Cornthwaite, Accidentally Drowned at Thorpdale
Our Baby Emily
George Telford, Accidentally Drowned
William Moffat, Killed in Action in France
Finding the cause of death on a gravestone can give you clues to go look for death records, newspaper articles, examiner’s reports, or military records.
Gravestone Clues to Grow Your Family Tree: #5 – Stories
Once in a while you’ll hit the jackpot and find a family story on your ancestor’s gravestone!
Gravestone Clues to Grow Your Family Tree: #6 – Photos
Photos bring ancestors to life! They can instantly make us feel as if we know those that went before us.
Most often we look for ancestors’ photos in family albums but they can also sometimes be found on gravestones.
Photos have been customary on Chinese gravestones for generations.
In more recent years, other cultures have adopted this custom as well.
Lucky you, if you find one on your ancestor’s gravestone!
Materials
Sometimes gravestones have names on them but no dates. Fortunately, the type of stone used to create your ancestor’s gravestone may give you a clue about when they lived.
Here are some common types of materials used for grave markers during specific time periods:
Fieldstones – Prior to 1650s
Fieldstones were the earliest grave markers. They were easy to find and abundant.
Early farmers had to clear rocks from their land for planting and they had to do something with them – why not turn them into gravestones!?
Fieldstones were long-lasting and could be chiseled with letters, dates, and ornamentation.
Some were non-quarried stones that could easily be mistaken for a rock-strewn field rather than a family’s final resting place.
Others were slabs of rock laid on top of other stones.
Slate – 1650s to early 1900s
From 1650 to 1900, most of the gravestones in the eastern United States.
Slate can withstand freezing and thawing pretty well but is thin and has a tendency to flake and split. The engravings were often shallow, but are usually very readable as long as they do not flake off from the main part of the stone.
Sandstone – 1650s – late-1800s
Sandstone was inexpensive, plentiful, and easy to carve so it became a very popular material for gravestones. Sandstone grave markers may be tan, brown, orangish-brown, or reddish-brown.
Sandstone is an especially soft material for grave markers. It is prone to flaking, chipping, and is suseptible to mold and lichen growth. Sandstone can deteriorate quickly, turning back into the sand from which it was formed.
Limestone – mid-1700s to late 1800s
Limestone was popular in the midwestern United States. It can be beige to gray to pure white and is easy to carve.
Marble – 1780s – 1930s
Marble has been favored for monuments for generations due to is strength and beauty. It is often white with gray veins.
This marble piano is the gravestone of Harry Thornton, a concert pianist. He and his wife entertained troops during the First World War.
Thornton died during the 1918 flu epidemic and is buried at Highgate Cemetery in London, England.
The epitaph on the side of the piano reads, “Sweet thou art sleeping; cradled on my heart; safe in God’s keeping; while I must weep apart.”
Granite – mid-1800s to present
Granite is a hard, long-lasting stone and is the preferred type of gravestone material still in use today.
It used to be difficult to carve granite and only the most-skilled tradesmen could work with it. But with today’s modern technology, carving into granite is not a problem.
If your family member’s gravestone is made of granite, they probably died after the mid-1800s.
Gravestone Clues to Grow Your Family Tree: #8 – Clubs
The type of tombstone your ancestor has on their grave may show that they belonged to a particular club or fraternity.
The first time I saw a Woodmen of the World gravestone at a cemetery, I did a doubletake. It looked so real that it blended in with the surrounding trees, appearing at first to be part of nature.
Why would anyone want a headstone that looked like a realistic tree stump? Well, it is a symbol for the Woodmen of the World, the fraternity-turned-insurance-company.
In 1882, founder Joseph Cullen Root heard a church sermon about pioneer men who were clearing the forests to provide for their families. It inspired him so much that he wanted to help provide for others too – particularly those who were too poor to afford a proper burial. So Root started a fraternity designed for the common man so no one would have to die without life insurance.
Rustic treestones were already popular when the Woodmen of the World organization was founded in 1890, but the fraternity made them even more popular. The company motto states that “no Woodmen shall rest in an unmarked grave.”
Gravestone Clues to Grow Your Family Tree: #9 – Religion
If there are symbols on gravestones they are especially likely to reveal your ancestor’s religion. Some of the symbols may include crosses, a temple, Mary and Joseph, a sacred heart, or the Star of David.

A Stress-Free Home
Your home will be infused with supportive energy if you take the time to create a stress-free home.
Sometimes our lives are so busy that we treat our homes as if they were impersonal places that we merely pass through. But we can make certain that our homes truly feel like our sanctuaries by taking the time to tend to them like gardens, which need care in order to offer us the beauty of their blooms. When we take the time to treat our homes like beloved treasures, we can shift their energy from being merely places to being wellsprings for the replenishment of our energy.
Consider that homes are the outer reflections of those who live within. If we feel that the current appearance clashes with how we’d like to see ourselves, it can keep us from fully allowing our light to shine. Updating our homes to reflect our inner landscape need not involve massive redecorating or a large outlay of money. Small things can make a big difference, like simply moving items so that we constantly gaze upon the things we love the most, liberating the treasures we’ve hidden in our closets, using our best dishes and making small repairs. Organizing and cleaning is a no-cost way to remove chaos from our homes and introduce more calm. Lovingly rejuvenating our personal space can become a creative project that increases the flow of good throughout all aspects of our lives and increases our feeling of connection. We can give old things new life by donating them to charity, opening space for newness to enter. Removing stress from our homes can be as simple as putting our bills into pretty boxes and choosing a specific time to deal with them, or removing clutter so that we and our energy can move freely throughout our space.
Simplifying our space lets our imagination and energy roam free. We can choose to prioritize our homes, making them the true heart of our family’s activities. Then we are free to focus on what really matters — time to ourselves, to share with loved ones, and to replenish our energy so that we have more to share with each other and with the world.

Ghost Hunting Theories
Arizona’s Haunted Land
When I moved from the east to the west, one of the things I learned over time is that, although many buildings are haunted in the east, the land in the west is very haunted. You feel it especially standing in places like South Mountain Park and Sedona, but even on a recent excursion with Julie to the Congress Pioneer Cemetery in the middle of the high desert, you could feel it in the hills all around, as if eyes were studying you everywhere you go.
There are some awesome ghostly legends involving the land in Arizona. Here’s just a few of them:
La Llorona: The most famous haunting in the west is a repeated story of La Llorona, the “weeping woman.” This legend varies depending on where you are in the west, but the premise is the same; a woman drowned her children because her new lover didn’t want them. When she killed them, he was repulsed by what she did and she realized she had killed her children for nothing. Now, she is a crying/screaming banshee figure in the washes and basins in the desert. Both the Gila and San Pedro rivers claim her existence. Pretty much most of the washes and rivers of the desert, the Hispanic community whispers of her existence nearby.
Grand Canyon National Park: A worker was putting up railings in the 1930s and fell into the canyon. He is said to be seen at sundown as a black misty figure near the railings and scraping and digging sounds are heard, as well.
Casa Grande Mountain: Here people report that if you are walking near the mountain, a black mist will follow you.
Anthem: In this area just north of Phoenix, people reportedly see and hear Native American warring parties on horseback. Even a man with a lantern is seen.
Cochise State Park: A man is said to play the flute on the boulders overlooking campsites.
Kingman: In the canyons a woman supposedly killed some children and is still wandering around the canyon and wailing.
East Mesa Campgrounds: A place here was the site of satanic worshippers where people were supposedly murdered. Folks report demonic laughter, dark figures and strange noises.
Picacho: A ghostly man is seen riding a horse from peak to peak.
Desert: “The Red Ghost” The army corp of engineers at one time long ago used camels in the AZ desert. A smart idea, actually for the 1800s. When the program ended, they released the camels. Some say that a ghostly one called the Red Camel is still wandering the desert with a ghostly rider atop it.
Casa Grande National Monument: Native Americans performing ceremonies have been seen, as well as black mists. This is the site of many astronomical observations and ceremonial rituals by an ancient tribe.
Chinle: A woman’s glowing apparition is seen hovering over the rock outcroppings.
Speaking Rock: Hopi legend of an old woman here who tells the giant spider rock who in her tribe is misbehaving.
London Bridge/Lake Havasu: This was reassembled from London to the AZ desert at Lake Havasu. Since then, a woman’s ghost and a British Bobby’s ghost are seen walking it.
Nearly every mine has had cave-ins and killings and nearly every site of battles during the time of settlers versus Native Americans are reportedly haunted.
As well, ancient tribes that came and went extinct left behind sacred rock sites that are filled with amazing energy. Many legends come from our insightful Native People. They have explanations for rock formations and how man might have come from the belly of the Grand Canyon originally as if it were the birthing place for the world. Their beliefs are for a reason and based on observations made while living here in this harsh land. Sometimes, you can hear ancient tribes chanting in the wind.
The very rock here seems to sing to you when you are in the desert. It is a weird thing to stand where you can see 180-degrees of sky and can see mountains 40 or 60 miles away, hear unrelenting winds with nothing to stop them from gathering spirit energy and carrying sounds to your ear that might have originated miles away.
Could it be the geology and the spirituality mixing together to create a kind of magical combination for eternal hauntings? One never knows what is at work here and why the lands seem to be so haunted, but from UFOs in our daytime sky to black mists in the desert at night, it’s always an unsettling and curious place.

Coach Gilberto ~ Chapter 1
by Stephen Halpert
It was the night before Gilberto was to assume his coaching responsibilities at Houndstooth. He and Maria were celebrating over a quiet dinner at Deep Blue Sea, Boston’s newest seafood restaurant, in Copley Square. With his usual gusto Gilberto downed several frosted mugs of imported beer to compliment his baked stuffed lobster. In her usual fashion Maria sipped the sparkling white wine that accompanied her sushi. Suspiciously Gilberto eyed her ahi tuna and smoked fish platter. There was something about raw fish that made him nervous.
They were having some time without kids. Joey was spending the weekend with soccer buddies in New Hampshire. They were preparing for their big game against Houndstooth’s long standing rival Herringbone Academy in Newton.
Mona, accompanied by her loyal companion the drooling Saint Bernard Boris, was visiting Maria’s parents in Florida.
They walked into the silence of their condo. Gilberto had already expressed his reluctance about selling it and moving to Brookline just to be closer to the Houndstooth’s campus. The condos they had seen didn’t impress them. “Too much money for too little space,” he had complained to Maria who agreed.
“We’re alone,” Maria grinned and kicked off her shoes. She swayed into Gilberto’s arms, kissing him passionately. Then she whispered. “I’m going to jump your bones.”
He looked confused. “You are? Why?”
Maria’s face reflected her disappointment. Instead of responding with alluring pillow talk, she sighed and took a step back. “Wait a minute! What do you mean why?”
Hearing that confused him further. “I don’t know why. I guess I’m not used to your saying things like that.”
She cleared her throat. “That’s because, truth be told you hardly give me the chance to say anything seductive. I mean you’re always the seducer and I’m cast as the fragile maiden enslaved by the passionate demands of mighty cave man.”
“What?” He sputtered, “All I know is I like kissing you a lot. I always have. Isn’t that the way we get the ball rolling? So, what’s the problem?”
She sighed, raised her arms and pulled off her dusty pink cashmere sweater. “Maybe sometimes I’d like initiating. Taking charge, jumping on you, losing myself in the bliss makes me feel so good.”
He sighed, not quite sure where any of this was going. “Sure,” he hedged. “Whatever you say, I guess. Are you going to stop with just the sweater or are you just getting started?”
She grinned. “Oh, it’s ok Gilberto. I guess at our age we’re pretty set in our ways.”
His face reddened. His voice rose. “What do you mean at our age?” He reached for her. Artfully, she side stepped his advances.
Instead, she took his hand. “You like a set routine. Me personally, I’d prefer a little variety. Like maybe we massage one another, or even put on some music and dance.”
“Dance! You want to dance? What for, Maria? I want us to make love like we always do.”
She nodded. “Sure, I wouldn’t want to tire you out.”
His words sputtered. “What are you talking about? Tire me out? You’re the one who says stop. Then we fall asleep together.”
“I do? That must be coming from a voice I can’t hear speaking.”
His voice softened. “When we’re breathless and our bodies are glued together, what could be better than that?”
She nodded. “Warm and beside each other, feeling peaceful, cuddly. That’s the best part. That afterglow, the aftermath when our bodies are encompassed in peacefulness.” She slid out of her slacks and struck a pose for him. “Still like what you see?”
He kicked off his loafers and leered. “Of course, I like what I see. Why shouldn’t I. How can you even ask something like that?”
Her eyes took on a faraway look. “It’s nice when you compliment me the way you did when we first started. You’d speak sweet, gentle words that touched my heart. But I guess that was then.”
“Are you saying I’m not romantic enough for you anymore?”
She touched his cheek gently. “No, no Gilberto you’re fine. You’re who you are. I can’t ask for anything more than that. You’re my incredible Gilberto. Wanting me just the way I am.” She paused. “I just want to be sure we don’t start taking each other for granted.”
He squinted. “That’s not possible. “We’ve too much passion burning inside us.”
She embraced him, nuzzled against his neck. “Are you sure?”
Those old familiar stirrings made him grin. “Of course, I’m sure.” Suddenly he felt way more hungry than usual, like he could devour half a dozen burgers. “Maria what are you getting at anyway?”
She took his hand, softly kissed his cheek. “So many couples dry out before their time. Their sex lives drift into a matter of convenient routine. Same old, same old. I don’t want that to happen to us.”
He nodded and slid out of his jeans. “I don’t think it could. Is that all you’re worried about?”
She looked at him with a smile that melted his heart. “That’s a lot, Gilberto. That’s way more than you might think. I want to keep us young; keep those wild children inside us alive and glad to be us.” She slid into his arms, kissing him, refusing to stop.
After a few long moments he came up for air and blurted. “Would you like some ice cream?”
Her eyebrows arched. “You’ve got to be kidding. You put away a gigantic lobster and enough beer to float a toy boat. How could you be hungry. We practically just finished supper.”
He looked at her fondly. “Our passion makes me hungry. Always has.”
She glanced at the antique mantle clock. “Just past ten. Kind of late to eat more don’t you think?”
“All right, never mind. I burn a lot of energy and kissing you makes me feel famished.”
She smiled. “Oh dear. I’ll have to remember that. Choose my kissing time more wisely, maybe when we first wake up just before breakfast.”
He looked at her helplessly. “You’re kidding, before breakfast, before I even get dressed and brush my teeth?”
She shrugged. The phone rang.
“Maria,” her mother Alicia’s voice was agitated, upset. “I’m putting Mona and that drooling dog of hers on the first plane out of here to Boston tomorrow morning. That dog destroyed two of my very best Afghans. Here.” She handed off the phone.
“Hi mom,” Mona ‘s voice was strong, politely defiant. “Boris got his paws caught in two of grandma’s Afghans. I guess it’s time for us to come home.”

Kitty Kat’s Korner
=^..^=
Is Your Cat Allergic to You?
By Beth Ann Mayer
You may like to joke that your cat is allergic to you. If your kitties frequently hide, only emerging to let you know they’re hungry or to wake you up at 5 a.m. for no apparent reason, saying they’re allergic to people is a funny gag.
But there’s a chance — albeit a very small one — that it’s true. Scientists say cats can be allergic to people. However, it’s extremely rare. Michelle Burch, D.V.M., from Safe Hounds Pet Insurance has never had a case in her practice.
“Humans bathe frequently,” Dr. Burch says. “Thankfully, that helps cut down on the dander and allergies that are there.”
There’s actually a better chance that your cat isn’t allergic to you but something you use on your skin or to clean your home. Dr. Burch shares ways to recognize and diagnose cat allergies and what you can do to keep cats comfortable (and maybe become more willing to cuddle with you).
What are the signs my cat is allergic to me?
Though Dr. Burch says it’s unlikely your cat is allergic to you, she knows it can happen. Cats who are allergic to humans will display certain allergy symptoms.
“The most common symptoms you’ll see is that your cat is going to be pretty itchy,” Dr. Burch says. “There is going to be fur loss, redness of the skin, scabbing and open sores.”
You may also notice rodent ulcers or inflamed and swollen lips. Cats may also develop chronic sneezing.
What are some other reasons my cat’s allergy symptoms appear worse around me?
While your cat probably isn’t allergic to you, some cats are allergic or sensitive to certain fragrances.
“Any perfumes or body spray with high-scent fragrances, even the heavily-perfumed body washes can cause reactions in cats,” Dr. Burch warns. “Air freshener plug-ins can be very strong to where they end up causing irritation to cats.”
Scented waxes, essential oils and incense may also be causing Kitty to sneeze. And a certain bad habit may also be making them uncomfortable.
“If you are a smoker and smoke in the house or near your cat, the nicotine and smoke can also cause irritation to your cat’s respiratory system,” Dr. Burch says.
What should I do if I think my cat is allergic to me (or something else in my house)?
If you suspect your cat is allergic to you, speak with your vet. They will likely write you a referral for a dermatologist. The dermatologist usually runs allergy testing by pricking the cat’s skin with a small amount of suspected allergens to see how Kitty reacts.
If your cat is allergic to you, that doesn’t mean you need to get rid of them.
“Treatment for [a cat’s] human allergies is immunotherapy, so they would get allergy injections to help desensitize the immune system to react to human dander and hairs,” Dr. Burch says.
She also suggests using a vacuum with a HEPA filter and putting one on your air conditioning unit.
“It will get your dander and the skin cells that accumulate in the environment out,” Dr. Burch says.
HEPA filters can also help if your cat is allergic to fragrances you use on your body or home, though Dr. Burch recommends nixing perfumes and heavily-scented body washes if you can. As for keeping your air smelling fresh, try a charcoal pillow instead of plug-ins.
“The charcoal grabs odors out and helps freshen the air,” Dr. Burch says.

Georgia Nicols Weekly Horoscope
Weekly Horoscope: Sunday, March 06, 2022
All Signs
The overall tone of this week is one of hope. Thich Nhat Hanh said, “Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.” Without question, the expectancy of good or of something better is reassuring. This week begins with an electric energy as the Moon lines up with Uranus, encouraging those who dare to be different! As the week progresses, romance and passion will burst on to the scene. “Natasha!” “Boris!” Social times with others will be rewarding. Oh yes, hope is more than the feeling that the light at the end of the tunnel isn’t a train. Hope is the feeling you have that the feeling you have isn’t permanent.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This week will be quietly inspirational for you because four planets are “hiding” in your chart. The Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Neptune will give you a quiet strength and an inner conviction or belief in yourself. You are the warrior of the zodiac. It’s so important for you to be confident because this gives you permission to act! Meanwhile, Venus and Mars will promote warm energy with friends and groups. You might hang out with artistic, creative people more than usual. You might also be in competition with someone or involved in a competitive way with a group. Your belief that your goals are possible increases your faith in your future. (Heady stuff!)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You might be surprised at how popular you are with others this week. The week begins with a creative and electrifying energy because the Moon is in your sign lined up with Uranus, while bouncing off Jupiter, the Sun and Neptune. This makes you enthusiastic! It also gives you the courage to be innovative and ready to explore new options. You might be more involved with younger people this week. Meanwhile, authority figures, parents, teachers and the police will look upon you favourably. In some cases, this will be so favourable, a romance with a boss might begin. This week you are ambitious, confident and successful dealing with others. You wanted more?
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This is a lovely week because the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Neptune are all at the top of your chart. This makes you look good in the eyes of others, especially people in authority. It also encourages successful communication with bosses, the police and VIPs. They will listen to you. Therefore, this combination of their admiration for you plus their willingness to listen to you, gives you an advantage! You can make headway asking for what you want or pushing your agenda. Meanwhile, travel plans and an opportunity to learn, study and write are favourable and abundant this week. A saucy romance with someone unusual will begin for some of you. (So hard to have a rose between your teeth when you’re wearing a mask.)
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
This week you’re eager to explore new territory and expand your horizons, and it feels good! You’re excited about travel and chances to learn more about the world and study other belief systems, concepts and philosophies. This same blessing will help some of you to pursue opportunities in publishing, the media as well as something connected with medicine and the law. Meanwhile, practical and financial support from others will come your way, so do keep your pockets open! Not only will you benefit from partners and other sources, many of you will experience a wonderful, sexy, inspiring connection with someone. (It will be very affectionate and caring.)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You are a generous sign. Leos will even borrow money to lend it to someone else. (Hard for some people to understand.) This week, you will be involved with the wealth and resources of others. You might receive gifts or benefit from others. But more likely, you will do fundraising or use the wealth and resources of others to help someone else. (Because what goes around, comes around, you will ultimately benefit from your generous motivation.) While both Saturn and Mars are opposite your sign, you might experience challenges and tests in your closest relationships. Fortunately, fair Venus is also opposite your sign paving the way for a warm, mutual understanding with loved ones. Sweet!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Conversations and interactions with those who are closest to you – partners, spouses and close friends – will be significant this week. Suddenly, you have a greater appreciation of how important these people are in your life. You feel genuine affection for them. Travel plans might intrigue you at the beginning of the week. Throughout this week, you are happy to work and be of service to others because this gives you a sense of gratification and accomplishment. Since 2015, you have been working steadily toward your goals. Next year will be a breakthrough for you. Expect a miracle! The end of the week will be a social, friendly time for you, especially with partners, close friends and coworkers. People will be generous to each other.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Some of the many rewards that you will enjoy this week will be related to your work (and possibly to a pet). If it would be possible, you would definitely please Col. Saito because you will “Be happy in your work!” In fact, work-related travel is likely for many of you. All of you will roll up your sleeves and be very hands-on with what you do, and you will be pleased to accomplish a lot. However, by no means is this week all work and no play. Au contraire! Both Venus and Mars will guarantee social outings, romantic tete-a-tetes, a heightened interest in sports plus playful times with kids. Some of your cherished dreams might come true.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
This is a wonderful week for you because you feel playful, prankish and alive! Not only that, you will be in touch with your muse way more than usual. You will feel inspired, which is why you will enjoy the arts, music and opportunities to express your own creative talents. The magical part about this week is that many people will have the ability to translate the abstract to the concrete. You will literally create something from your original ideas. It will actually happen. Meanwhile both chaos and activity continue on the home front; however, warm feelings with family members will be a strong theme this week. You are loved.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You’re still focused on home and family, or involved in home repairs and real-estate negotiations. Family relations will be sweet and tender because it’s easy to imagine what it’s like to walk a mile in someone else’s wedgies. This empathy encourages mutual understanding and forgiveness. This soft energy also promotes success when dealing with a parent. Meanwhile, you want to travel or take short trips because you’re enjoying the beauty of your daily surroundings. This is a wonderful week to write and produce something from your ideas. My Creative Writing professor used to say, “It’s easy to write. You simply stare at your keyboard until drops of blood appear on your forehead.”
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
This is truly a creative week for you! The week begins with some surprising situations, perhaps a change of social plans or something unexpected with children. Trust your imagination and your dreams. Dare be different! Too often, you try too hard to fit in. This is the perfect week to explore your ideas. Joseph Campbell said, “Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.” He also said, “The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.” Do not discount the value of time spent daydreaming and being lost in fantasy for this could be the groundwork for a productive new path. This is also a good week for financial negotiations. Money will come to you!
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You’re loaded with charm and energy this week because both fiery Mars and fair Venus are in your sign. Obviously, your penchant for networking right now is stellar. Rally your troops and set them marching! Meanwhile, you might be surprised at the fanciful, imaginative ideas you have swirling in your mind that are connected with how you want to earn money, as well as how you want to spend it. Most great ideas have small beginnings. Never underestimate the potential of a tiny kernel of creativity because it can snowball into something magical and meaningful to millions. Physical exercise is a great idea for you this week. Do some huffing and puffing.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
This week you are the protostar of creativity because the Sun is in your sign along with Mercury, Jupiter and Neptune. This means you are strongly connected with your dreams and your creative imagination. You’re a walking Think Tank! Nevertheless, be sensible and be careful about biting off more than you can chew. It’s fine to have your head in the clouds but make sure you keep your feet on the ground. Towards the end of the week, socializing and your enjoyment of the arts will be strong. In fact, during Friday, Saturday and Sunday the Moon will be in your fellow Water sign of Cancer, dancing with Jupiter and the Sun and Neptune in Pisces. Impossibly teeming and creative!

Monthly Horoscopes For March 2022
~CelestialPrognostication
If you’re born within a cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you’re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You’re on the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.
Outlines are longer versions; consist of every possible detail of everyday and are based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don’t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.
Aries
Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19
Your horoscope for this month:
As an Aries and a quick-thinking fire sign, you’ll find the range of tricky decisions you’re facing as exciting as they are challenging. The secret? It’s to move swiftly, often without even discussing matters with others, if only to see what happens. Regard what you do and decide as an experiment from which you’ll learn a lot, more than anything lasting. This won’t just be informative, it’s preparing you for the more far-reaching, if not permanent decisions you’ll be making during April.
Although you love the idea of starting new projects, it’s difficult to stick with them when your mind wanders to other possibilities. People want to see that you finish what you started. You may need to remind yourself how positive you felt during planning, journeys or joint ventures in order to fulfil a promise. It will be wonderful to reunite with your amour when the month starts. Are you single? When you tell your friends you are single, you won’t be laughing. You can find a way out of your madness. You may have noticed a pattern in your relationship with someone you just separated from. Therefore, you want to get rid of it. You want to avoid making the same mistakes in your next relationship by choosing someone very different from your ex. You will feel happier and more optimistic if you accept a steady job or take on additional work. Being able to accomplish a lot reflects who and what you are. When you put your energy into things that are important, you will always be happier and content. You will be able to pay off debts and save money thanks to the progress that you make. Despite moments of distraction, you are becoming more focused. As will be proven in March, you have never been afraid to take on enormous responsibilities. Others might question you about how much you know. You’re promising yourself that you will fulfil all your obligations and that you won’t let anyone down. You will find greater happiness by following the alternative paths that you have chosen this spring. Your life will be richer if you have new experiences at the end of each month.
The big theme for all signs concerns team effort. It will be necessary to pull together but, aided and abetted by the formidable conjunction of Venus and Mars in Aquarius that picks up on a theme that began in December 2020, ideas should take shape and progress be visible. True, the first 10 days of the month could witness echoes of past financial difficulties. Yet once regrouped – most likely in the week beginning Monday 7th, and in collaboration, so much can be achieved. By the time that the Sun reaches your sign on the 21st (which is only a few days after a Full Moon that draws attention to the Galactic Centre), the world could be tuning in to new financial propositions and rebuilding. Then, from 27th and Mercury’s arrival in your sign, you should be back in the driving seat; no longer focused on repair but on pushing forward with new and profitable projects.
Taurus
Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20
Your horoscope for this month:
Decision-time has come. For ages you’ve been exploring potentially exciting changes but been unsure what’s wise. With both your ruler Venus and courageous Mars moving to accent these matters, it’s time to take action. Be aware, however, this isn’t about a single plan but, instead, actively exploring a range of options. While some reshape existing arrangements, a few are worryingly unfamiliar. Tempting as it is to avoid these, at minimum, you’ll learn from them; but they might turn out to be your best bet.
Taking part in club and group activities can bring you so many benefits. Although you may be a shy person, it is important to socialise with others. Your current goals will be greatly helped by a new friend. You can make your wildest dreams come true if you have a passion for something and will work hard. A new friend will inspire you to do something different. You will be more attractive if you have more confidence. This will help if you’re not getting along with your housemate, as they will probably admit that you are more approachable. This allows you to discuss your differences and come up with compromises. You are now ready to spice up your love life. Your amour should be attentive, kind, and affectionate. Are you single? You will feel strong now so find some unconventional friends. Your financial approach has always been practical and pragmatic. You should discuss your concerns with your housemate about their spending habits. You will find your partner and other people who have a hand in the purse strings more accommodating than you might expect. They will listen to you and allow you to express your thoughts about money, work and religion without you taking offense. The 8th of March will surprise you the most. Your colleagues will appear to be willing to do anything to please your boss. Your job is enjoyable when you can laugh with your colleagues and share the fun. You all work well together when you are working on shared projects. Enjoyment and laughter should be a major part of the month’s activities. It’s not good for your health to take on too many responsibilities. Fun times are essential to gaining more value in your life.
March is dominated by the rare alignment of Venus and Mars at the apex of your solar chart. Their conjunction echoes that of Jupiter and Saturn that began the new business cycle back in December 2020. Though progress has likely not been possible due to the pandemic, now, with all the regular planets in forward motion, there should be signs of new growth and yes, alternative ways of working and living. This should prove a super exciting month. Key in all this will be working within groups and sharing the load. In your case, your network should expand. It would be unsurprising if, around March 10, that your focus was on an alliance that promises much and might deliver not long after the solar eclipse in your sign next month. For now, and especially between 10th and the Equinox on Sunday 20th, you could redress the balance sheet, determine exactly where you stand, and prepare for positive and constructive financial action by Monday 28 when your ruling planet Venus, aligns with Saturn again at the career point of your solar chart. A major financial decision could then lead to major shift in your financial position.
Gemini
Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20
Your horoscope for this month:
While there’s no avoiding the unsettling situations you’re facing in early March, they aren’t as troublesome or, in fact, as lasting as they seem. Knowing that, you’re urged to be bold. Take chances. True, the circumstances and, in fact, individuals involved may be unreliable, if not worthy of suspicion. Ironically, what you learn from dealing with them will be less troublesome than you fear, and surprisingly informative. Enough, in fact, that before the month’s end, you’re exploring options you previously hadn’t imagined possible.
Once March begins, the pattern of events should make a significant improvement on trends you’ve seen in the past. While this year has been full of fun moments, these are nothing compared to what spring holds. All relationships should be happy and harmonious in March. Spending more time with friends, old and new, will improve your social life. You might feel like you’re always thinking about the person you have been falling in love with. This might be the right time to make this relationship more romantic. You can take the initiative to suggest it and they will feel the same. Your partner, a friend or close relative will introduce you to a new hobby after the month is over. You could be able to get money from a legal settlement, a bonus or a royalty agreement. Your cash could go into a new venture which could provide a steady income for many years. Showcase your skills and achievements, no matter if you are working for yourself or pursuing a great job. You should always accept an offer to display your work to a publisher, gallery or business owner. You should be available to audition or attend interviews at any time during the month. You will soon receive money that you want to save. A small amount of this money could be used to start your own business. You will see this new venture flourish. You can move up in your career by signing a contract before the 21st. It will surprise you at the services an agent, manager or employment agency can provide.
As you know, yours is one of the Mutable signs of the zodiac: i.e., you know how to flex muscles and to must multitask. In fact, your versatility is what gets you noticed. You will have to be particularly sharp on your feet between March 10 and 20th when there is danger of you falling down a slippery financial slope. Across those dates, both the Sun and Mercury across the apex of your solar chart bringing with it the risk of having too many irons in the fire, too many pots on the boil and just too much of everything. Streamlining is surely essential. An important feature of March is the alignment of Venus and Mars in another of the Air signs. That their conjunction echoes that of Jupiter and Saturn that began the most recent business cycle back in December 2020 is relevant. Ideas that have been incubating since then, but have stalled mostly due to the pandemic but also likely because services and products weren’t available, should now start to take off. It may be necessary to dig into savings between 10th and 20th to get things moving. This though should be done with care. March can be a generally expensive time for Geminis. Keeping control of costs could be a challenge – especially around Monday 28 when you could be hit by an invoice you didn’t expect. Key surely is to ensure in the first five days of the month that you have a security net in place and people you can talk to throughout the month and who help you keep you within budget.
Cancer
Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22
Your horoscope for this month:
Initially, the twists and turns you’re facing seem urgent. Actually, they’re about asking questions, often regarding arrangements that haven’t changed for ages. Now that it’s time, of course events will seem dramatic. True, often, you’ll need to move swiftly, or gather facts as events progress. The secret? View plans as an experiment. Before the month’s close, changes in circumstances and, equally, in your own priorities will mean rethinking things. The more flexible those previous arrangements were, the easier it will be to make those changes.
Travel plans made with a friend or partner can give you something to look forward to. This exciting journey will not be complete without you imagining the fun times you’ll have together. A journey will inspire and lift you but you won’t travel on an impulse. The fun part of planning a trip is the preparation. It will make you feel like a child at Christmas Eve. You will enjoy the anticipation, waiting and hoping for the future. Are you single? Travelling could lead to a special relationship. The attraction you have for one another will last a lifetime. Romance is fun, exciting and wonderful. It’s not the time to spend a lot on extravagant items. Every penny will be saved for a memorable holiday. Both short- and long-term journeys will be exciting and enjoyable. Relaxing moments will also be enjoyed. Your loved ones and friends know how to bring out your best. It will be a pleasant surprise to receive jewellery as a gift around the 16th. You could receive it from a family member. Your month is creative, romantic and vibrant. You will find new opportunities by mixing with people outside of your usual circle. You might find yourself in a new area of expertise because of unexpected events or arrangements on the 18th. It’s not unusual to find yourself having difficulty concentrating on your job in March because there are so many things going on around you. You will feel more restless if you don’t enjoy a change in scenery.
With all the regular planets in forward motion, it’s reasonable to expect that March will be a month of progress; and yet: between 10th and 20th the Sun and Mercury pass through Pisces. This isn’t a bad thing, but in your case, could lead to a carelessness in credit management. It might then be wise to take stock in the first five days of March and ensure that your financial affairs are is in good order as is possible. You might also benefit from setting a budget – most likely on Friday 4th. Post the Full Moon on March 18, ideas as to how best to use assets are set to gain momentum. Bearing in mind that Venus and Mars will have formed a rare alignment on March 6, echoing the Jupiter Saturn conjunction of December 2020 that marked the start of a new business cycle, it may be that you’re invited to form an alliance. Whether or not this is a product or service, it would seem to be of its time. All signs will surely benefit from working together and team work is a recurring theme. For you, and especially in the very last week of March, you could do much to redress any financial imbalance, through joining forces with an Aries, Libra or Capricorn whose determination to seize the moment is energising and potentially lucrative.
Leo
Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22
Your horoscope for this month:
Although you complain when others simply expect you to deal with everything from minor plans to far-reaching decisions, you’d rather do things your way to begin with. That’s been the case recently, especially around mid-February’s Leo Full Moon. However, as March unfolds, you’ll soon discover those were the first of a series of plans. Knowing that, be bold. Take chances on ideas, activities and alliances that have always tempted you but which seemed risky. If ever there was a time to be adventurous, it’s now.
Your top priority should be to achieve a goal you love. You won’t take it lightly if you do nothing by the book. During the first few days your entire attention will be focused on one goal. The good news is that you have the talent and determination to accomplish it. While you are serious about your social and professional responsibilities you can still enjoy life and take risks. While your friends will be pleased with you burning the midnight oil at both ends, an older relative won’t be so happy. While you might think you are old enough to take care of yourself, you should not neglect your health. The cause of your symptoms will be obvious if you feel irritable, anxious or tense. Much will depend on the outcome of an official or legal decision made in March. It may be necessary to delegate practical matters to others. This won’t be a straightforward task. A partner or loved one will feel heavy because they are responsible for the responsibility. While you’re having fun, they will remind you about the problems they face. It’s difficult to maintain harmonious relationships. On the 13th acquaintances will help you feel more confident, vibrant and excited about your future career possibilities. You will be more connected to society through their outgoing influence and more open to making new friends. Is there a catch? As the month draws to a close, you will need your wits about yourself. You don’t want to miss a chance to succeed but you also won’t want your trust to be misplaced.
It would be wise to use the first few days of the month to do as much as you can to get your affairs in order. You need to know where you stand by Sunday March 6th. This offers you a sound platform on which to base your next moves. On March 6, Venus and Mars align in your opposite sign. They do so within a degree of the Jupiter Saturn conjunction (marking the new business cycle) that took place in December 2020. Yes, since then there has been the pandemic and many businesses have been unable to move forward. The financial situation has been difficult to grasp – but not impossible. Now it seems that you have new motivation and can indeed pick up on some of the thoughts you’ve had in the intervening two years. Progress can yet be made. With all the regular planets now in forward motion, the impetus to do so should be there for every sign. By the time that Mercury joins the Sun in another of the Fire signs on March 27, you should be firing on all financial cylinders. The art is likely to do as much buying and selling as you can between 10th and 18th when opportunities to maximise resources could abound. Note that on the latter date, there is a Full Moon aligning with the Galactic Centre. You won’t be alone in feeling that this is a decisive moment.
Virgo
Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22
Your horoscope for this month:
March will be an unsettling month. Acknowledge that, and instead of struggling to devise the perfect plan, you’ll take chances. Often this will involve a long-cherished vision of what’s possible but, equally, the focus could be a sudden inspiration. While usually you’d be more cautious, with the Virgo Full Moon on the 18th rousing often unspoken goals or passions, there’ll be no question what to do or pursue. At minimum you’ll learn something. However, you’re likely to achieve those goals that mean so much to you.
As March starts, friendships, sports and competitive events will keep your mind busy. A new outdoor activity will interest you. Travel will work well together and romance is possible if you’re single. Your relationship will be successful if you are honest, respectful and open to communication at work and home. A friend will be happy to help you work in an area in their life that is badly neglected. Your advice will make a difference to a neighbour. You have plenty of things going on that will keep your life exciting and vibrant. You can do something right now if you feel like you don’t have enough time to enjoy a new friendship or relationship. If you immediately address your financial issues, joint financial problems will not affect the foundations of a loving relationship. Talking to your partner at the beginning of March can help you both to understand what needs to be done to fix this problem. Your partner will try their best to help you both. It is amazing what can be accomplished when you and your partner are open to discussing what you want and how it might be achieved. You will feel more in control when you both agree on what you should do. Try again if your first attempt at a difficult task fails. Although it may take several more attempts to achieve the desired results, perseverance will get you there. It may take some time to learn new skills but you should keep trying. A senior colleague will encourage you with sincere encouragement. You will also find plenty of help if you need it. It will also be repeating tasks that will improve your performance.
Throughout March, all the regular planets are in forward motion and yes, progress is likely – and for all signs. Noting too, that Venus and Mars align on Sunday 6th and on a degree that began the new business cycle back in December 2020, it does seem likely that the commercial world will pick up; and yet: – those of your sign seem to do better when at least one planet is retrograde. If things move too fast, then the temptation to multitask and to try and just do too much, is too strong. You will need to resist that urge between 10th and 18th when expensive errors could be made. Note that on the 18th, the Full Moon in your sign is at near right angle to the Galactic Centre; and it would be easy for you to pick up a wrong signal. Don’t forget that you are human. If you do see something you want to buy, perhaps the art is to say that you want it but wait a couple of days before moving forward. Ask yourself several times over ‘is this really necessary’? Then, after the Equinox on March 20, you will likely find support – most probably from a Leo, Aquarius or Aries. It may yet be that in teaming-up, you become the A team with an enterprise or venture that is timely and profitable.
Libra
Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22
Your horoscope for this month:
True, the planetary activity during March’s first half promises to bring you closer to certain cherished dreams than you’d imagined possible. While thrilling, this also means altering, if not substantially changing, elements of your everyday life. While this seems as pointless as it is disruptive, go with the flow. Within a week or so you’ll realise those seemingly unnecessary, if not unrealistic, changes are breakthroughs. They’ll enable you to turn once distant plans into reality, although in a different form than you’d imagined.
It’s not your job to help your neighbours, friends and colleagues with their problems. Politely decline to help the next person in need. It’s too much work for others, but not enough for you. Take care of your health. Start with yourself if you have to care for someone this month. You are beginning to see the truth about yourself. As much as you try to please everyone, you can’t please them all. Celebrate your achievements and talents. Spend time with friends who value your friendship and use the 11th to indulge your sensual side. Are you single? Take a massage. Get a massage or a new fragrance. It’s amazing what you can do for others. When you have enough energy, it’s easier to help others. Are you in a relationship that is committed? You can go on a romantic getaway with your partner later in March. Before you lend a friend money, think about what they might be thinking. Are they still owing you money? Are they going to pay you back? Save your money and make sure you have enough to pay for the holiday you want later in the year. Choose something that will delight your senses if you have to spend a lot. You will find that a seminar at work, you were not sure about attending, is more enjoyable than you thought. You can channel your energy into your job but there are limits to how much you can do. Preventative measures should be taken if you are concerned about an allergy or illness that you may have. This is a time when your health and diet are in the spotlight. You could also miss out on having fun if this is a time where you do all the work.
Think back to December 2020. What plans did you put in motion but which have hit the buffers given the pandemic and the various global financial reset movements. On March 6, Venus, your ruling planet and Mars, align in the research and development area of your solar chart and business wise things should take off – and at speed. True, you should take care between March 10 and 18th that you are not overspending on distribution or marketing. It’s probable, that at least one person wants to partner with you: seeing value in your work that you’ve yet to recognise. Financially you could move into a different lane altogether – especially if what you have to offer is viewed as cutting-edge or a little different. Financially this should be a productive time with the last week being particularly so. The opportunity to pay off debt, and to redress imbalance should present. As is the case for all signs, thinks self-investment first. Note too, that if you do form a partnership, that you study carefully the contractual arrangements involved and set review periods so that if the union should break down, you don’t incur heavy costs through realignment.
Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21
Your horoscope for this month:
You don’t think of yourself as secretive; but then, in early March, circumstances force you to discuss matters you regard as nobody else’s business or private, and only for those involved. Yet not only will you need to speak frankly about everything from your plans to your feelings, you’ll realise that the more open you are, the better others understand you, and the decisions you’re facing. True, certain discussions will lead to changes that, initially, you regard as unwelcome; but here, too, pleasant surprises are coming your way.
Life will move quickly if you are enthusiastic, energetic and able to use your initiative. You will probably get the green light for long-term plans and creative ideas. You are sure to have a great month, both romantically and socially. You have great ideas about making life more fun. You will be a hit with your family and friends. Your enthusiasm and willingness to change is infectious, so you can discuss ideas with your partner. It will help you achieve romantic happiness by sharing the same goals. You will be inspired to plan a holiday after receiving some good news from overseas in March. Share your joy with the people you love. You don’t have to wait for a special occasion in order to celebrate your love. This is a wonderful time to dine with your amour. Respect, recognition and financial reward will be earned for achievements around the 11th. There are many exciting ways to brighten up your home or spark a romance. It’s never been a better time to start a home-improvement project. It’s a great way to have fun with your partner and give your home a facelift. After the project is completed, you can throw a party to showcase your work. You are now favoured for any work that is creative, regardless of whether it is related to your job, family or social life. Your ideas will be inspirational to your friends. When you are surrounded by such creative people it should be thrilling to start making plans. Although work and social plans might change in March, this will not be a problem. It is best to let go of the situation and cultivate joy and happiness.
On Sunday, March 6, Venus and Mars align in Aquarius at a major axis of your solar chart. This degree was highlighted back in December 2020 – pre-pandemic, and though that business cycle should have gathered momentum, it’s been ‘on hold’ waiting for the Venus Mars connection to truly take off. Your financial instincts can be very good. Now, knowing that certain costs will not recur, and that you can invest time and energy in new directions, you should make progress. Indeed, by the time that Mercury joins the Sun in another of the Mars-ruled signs, Aries, at the end of the month, your financial path should be straighter. All that said, the accent is still very much on controlling cash flow. Of course, this is true for all signs and at all times. This March however, – and particularly in your case, – grappling with old costs, paying things off and choosing new investments becomes high priority. In this respect, you might, unusually, be drawn to products and services viewed as cutting-edge.
Sagittarius
Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21
Your horoscope for this month:
By no means are you narrow-minded. On the contrary, you’re usually the first to discover and explore new ideas, go new places and get to know interesting people. However, long ago you decided that you’d either had enough of certain of these or they hold no interest, so you’ve habitually ignored them. It’s time for a review. This means spotting what, and who, you’d reject and at least doing some exploration. What you encounter won’t just be interesting, it could be life-changing.
You would like more freedom to pursue your interests. Your partner or friends may not share all of your plans but that won’t stop you. They don’t know you well enough if they find it annoying. It is not fun to do everything together. No matter how close your relationships are, you need to be independent. Sometimes it may take some time for a partner to accept your adventurous ideas. While a new partner may not be able to understand your passion for exploring new places, a long-term partner will encourage you to do so. It might be a good idea to reduce your suggestions if you feel someone is overwhelmed by your enthusiasm for changing. Are you single? You could find a new hobby or a new partner by taking up a new sport. It’s a great day for entering a contest of skills. Your talents will be admired by many people. Your friends might be wondering what is going on with you. You seem more extravagant and impulsive in your spending. Either you have received, or will soon receive a bonus, pay rise or large financial payment. You are in the mood for generosity and will treat yourself and others. You have exciting plans but don’t want to spend too much time discussing them with others. It is obvious that waiting for feedback from others could be a waste of time. You can rely on only yourself. You will do what you want and not talk to anyone. Your upward mobility will be enhanced by your willingness to explore new avenues. Your talents can be displayed in public forums. It’s possible to receive multiple commissions for freelance work. You will have the feeling that you are being paid to have fun.
It’s not at all uncommon for Sagittarius to find this time of year when both the Sun and Mercury pass through Pisces particularly expensive. That will be the case between March 10 and 18th. That this period also includes a Full Moon – again accenting a major axis of your solar chart – suggests that this year it will be exceptionally so. Recall that your ruling planet is now passing over the base of your solar chart. The need for more ‘of everything’ will likely be much, much increased and care will be needed to avoid financial mishap. The flow of cash going out is likely to be greater than that coming in. Redressing that balance might not be possible until the very last week of the month. Of course, you won’t be the only sign to tune into the need for redress; but it’s in working in partnership, and in your case, most likely within Gemini, Libra or Aquarius, that you could tackle financial imperfection and steer your financial ship into safer waters. Priority must surely be given to utility costs and controlling these well ahead of likely cost rises at the end of the year.
Capricorn
Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19
Your horoscope for this month:
Few things annoy you more than those who feel they need to take over certain matters on your behalf. They may think they’re doing you a favour or insist they’re experts. However, the fact is, the more willing you are to discuss their thinking and explore their advice, the more you’ll learn. This, in turn, leads to unexpected encounters and experiences beyond anything you’d imagined possible, even when March began. Better yet, you’ll benefit from these experiences over the months and years to come.
You’ll be entertained by exciting e-mails, texts messages and phone calls. As March begins, you will be pleasantly surprised by a variety of exciting events that will brighten up your day. This month’s events will make you rethink your life and help you see the importance of setting new goals. You may need to take a different route or change your direction. No matter what choice you make you will know that the changes you are making now were the right ones. Your friends want to be with you and are eager to have more fun. To keep up with your positive outlook and great sense of humour would be a waste. You and your friends should plan something new. If you have one, include your partner, as a group trip to the theatre, amusement park or sporting event can strengthen your romantic and social connections. You will find it almost impossible to read your partner’s thoughts in March but you will be amazed at how quickly you pick up on their feelings. An extensive legal or financial matter that involves many people can last for a long time. It doesn’t matter if it’s a long-term deal or a partnership, it will impact your life. Through your business and social connections, luck will be yours. It’s hard to keep up with all the plans. Many people are sending e-mails and texts and others will require a fast response. If you want to grab an opportunity to start a business, it will be necessary to quickly make your decision. Your life will be more fun and exciting if you have friends or work colleagues who are spontaneous and impulsive.
Networking is an investment. Paying subscriptions has value too. These may be much on your mind; especially after 10th and before the Full Moon on March 18. Slightly different kinds of investment would be in organisational products and services. These are likely to have your attention again around the Full Moon. It may be that the realisation that you could have a second revenue stream will require that you make early preparations; but perhaps most important in March is the alignment of Venus and Mars at the start of Aquarius. This picks up on the same degree that the most recent business cycle began back in December 2020. Though true, the pandemic has got in the way and many things haven’t moved or progressed as quickly as most would like. Now though, there should be renewed momentum. In your case, this is likely to include the formation of an alliance or restructured business partnership. Having this in place by the last week of March would surely be wise. You may also find that it’s around the Last Quarter Moon in your sign on March 25, that you’ll identify a new and exciting financial pathway.
Aquarius
Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18
Your horoscope for this month:
Since early in the year, you’ve been juggling unexpected events, offers and a range of changes. While some have been welcome, others have been as puzzling as they are time-consuming. This is especially tricky for you, as a quick-thinking Aquarius; but that’s the point. You’re in a period of growth, often in ways as unexpected as they are puzzling, at least initially. The secret? Explore absolutely everything. What seems least promising could turn out to be a dream come true.
You need stimulation and change. You are looking for something new to focus on. Your March stars will encourage you to put your imaginative ideas into practice. You may find it necessary to combine business and pleasure at times during the month. You will be happy with anything that gives you hope and anticipation. You need more excitement and this is what you’re about to receive. Accept an invitation to take part in a group event or community project. You will learn more about your local community by participating in these events. Even if this activity is not for you, someone can point you in the right direction to other activities that might be of interest. It’s great to have friends and enjoy the company of like-minded people. You would never, ever, betray your partner if you’re in a relationship. It is possible to have fun hurting no one. Don’t worry if money is tight these days. There is always hope. To your great relief, money will flow more easily now. Around the 17th, you will receive written confirmation that you have been offered a job or an educational position. You can make your financial future brighter by making well-planned moves around the 28th. Your ideas, opinions and suggestions will be appreciated by your friends and colleagues. This will help you be more expressive of your communications. It’s easier to have harmonious relationships with your colleagues, friends and other community members. You might be cautious when someone new to your workplace attempts to take over your time. They may feel insecure but everyone who wants to be part of your life should respect your independence.
At the end of December 2020, Jupiter and Saturn aligned in your sign: a rare conjunction known as the Grand Mutation. It was also the beginning of the most recent business cycle. As we know, other factors have interfered with its progress: the global financial reset connected to the pandemic. This month there is cosmic attention on your sign once more with an alignment of Venus and Mars on that earlier degree. It’s very likely that those of your sign will now be off to the races. Of course, financially you do need to take care: particularly until after the Full Moon on March 16. It’s possible that in your excitement to get things going, you could thrash around, try to do too much, and self-sabotage. It’s likely imperative that you work in partnership with someone who steadies your financial flow. Boring as it might seem, having regular meetings to assess your situation and to keep on top of any potential disasters would be super wise. In this respect, and bearing in mind that a major solar eclipse is coming in a couple of months’ time when your career could go off at new tangent, doing what you can to balance the books this month would be wise. Meetings taking place in the last four days should prove particularly constructive.
Pisces
Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20
Your horoscope for this month:
Once you understand that with the powerful Pisces New Moon taking place on 2 February, you’ll be dwelling on questions and, even more, exciting ideas, some longstanding but others unexpected, you’ll stop worrying about making lasting plans. Instead, you’ll review what isn’t working and, equally, explore everything that comes your way. True, that’s a distraction; but, that’s the point. March is about reviewing and, where necessary, breaking habits; and, better yet, you’re preparing for the exciting new chapter of your life only just beginning.
These are exciting times and they will have long-lasting consequences. Your life is about to change. You have the power to make choices, and you can empower yourself. Keep moving forward with plans that you believe in. You may have to abandon your best friend or partner if they refuse to accept the fact that you have your own needs and have to take responsibility for them. You would be happier if your loved ones were more supportive. However, it is important that you are able to forge your own path now. Are you single? You may be able to move out of your family home and have more freedom to do what is best for you, with whom you want, and when you want. You’re noticing the importance of being organised about money matters. Recent economising has given you some extra cash in your pocket. It might be a good idea to have a conversation about finances with someone you care about around the 20th. Positive endings are predicted when you’re happy with the deals and decisions that are happening in your life. It is only a matter of time before you can start something new which will make this an exciting year. You are loved for your kindness and sensitivity. Your friendship is a welcome one. You will feel more at home at work than you ever imagined. Even if your goals aren’t ambitious, it’s hard not to feel a sense of pride and excitement when you learn that you’re in line for a promotion.
Between March 10 and 18th both the Sun and Mercury passed through your sign. Encompassing the full Moon in your opposite sign, this very real danger of you overspending. Of course, you could find some fabulous bargains; but a bargain is only a bargain if it’s what you can really afford. Not uncommon to want to treat yourself around the birthday period. This year, with Jupiter passing through your sign, investing in you should take priority. It may be that you need a grand adventure. That grand adventure has to pick fit into a larger picture. Certainly, this is a good ground for improving your environment so that you can work and earn more easily. It’s worth mentioning, that Chiron the planetoid that orbits between Saturn and your Ennis is continuing its stately journey through one of the key finances owns of your solar chart. There is and conclusion of this for some years yet and yes, it’s probable that throughout this period you will feel to be walking a tightrope were financial matters are concerned. It’s very likely that savings will be top priority particularly in the last few days of March. Discussing these and pension arrangements should prove a wise move.
