Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

November 8, 2021 – November 14, 2021

The beginning of the week starts with the Moon in dutiful Capricorn. It’s an excellent time to focus on work and career concerns and use this energy to finish tasks that need completion.

The bulk of the energy this week occurs on Wednesday when Mercury and Mars tangle with Saturn. You may feel misunderstood and unappreciated by those around you, leading to feelings of frustration. Try to be slow and methodical in all your actions, and make sure you put a watch on your tongue. You may say something you will later regret!

This weekend, the Sun forms a beautiful trine to Neptune. It’s an excellent weekend to focus on spiritual matters, so you may want some alone time to connect with Spirit. However, be on guard Sunday when Mercury opposes Uranus. Your thoughts may be scattered, undisciplined, and you may experience mild anxiety.

Recommended Candles: Road Opener (Motor City Hoodoo), Mars (IDGAF), Meditation (Affirmation), Stability (Blessed Herbal)

Here’s what you missed on this week…

Exactly who gets to decide who you are?
Time to leave the past in the past

This month, not only are we faced with an eclipse in Taurus, we’re faced with the problems of our past. We’re not talking about some cheesy Hollywood revenge film here. We’re talking about confronting our past with help, support, and (of course) a little bit of magic.

Are Celestial Energies Aligning in your Favor?
Astro Magic 2021

November Astro Magic November 2021
I’m going to be blunt – it’s going to be a tough month. Perhaps, one of the toughest months of the year. Astrologically, we are building up to the final battle between Saturn (restrictions, limitations, isolation) and Uranus (freedom, rebellion) that occurs on December 24th.

Pearls of Wisdom Deck

Pearl of Wisdom: I personify discipline and the unconquerable aspects of human spirit. I defeat my adversaries with love and compassion.

Llewellyn’s Spell A Day

Coin Toss Spell

When you are searching for an answer to a yes-no question, you can use a coin to get results. Make sure you really want to know the answer before you begin. Depending on the situation, sometimes it may be better not to know.

Once you have decided to explore this simple form of divination, designate one side of the coin for a “yes” answer and the other side for a “no.” First you must establish a relationship with the coin. Start by asking simple questions. Ask the coin if you are wearing shoes, for instance. Once the coin has provided you with three correct answers in a row, you may proceed and ask the question that you are most curious about. Take a deep breath and ask for an answer to your question. Flip the coin to see the result. Trust the answer you receive.
Simple Meditation Amulet

Meditation is something that we all can benefit from, but it doesn’t necessarily come easy to everyone. I know I struggled to get the hang of it and still find myself hitting the occasional block. I created this simple meditation amulet to help me deepen my skills with each session.

To create your own meditation amulet, you will need a small magnifying glass, a black marker, and a thick piece of cord or string to make a strap so you can wear it over your neck.

On the magnifying glass, draw a large eye with the marker. In the center of the eye, draw a pentacle. Look through the center of the pentacle and say:

Deep within the mysteries hide;
Find the patience that’s locked inside.
Help me go deeper than I know I’ve been,
To explore the secrets of now and then.

Tie the ends of the cord around the handle of the magnifying glass, and wear your amulet during meditation.
Flower Blessing

The secret language of flowers teaches that each kind of flower holds a symbolic meaning, as does each color. Buy potted or cut flowers and bring energy and blessings into your home. Doing small sacred acts to raise both your energy and that of your house and hearth can counteract the low feeling brought on by the decrease in sunlight hours at this time of year.

Carnations symbolize divine love. The white ones connote innocence and purity; the pink, admiration and respect; and the red, love and heartfelt desire. Roses symbolize earthly love, with rosebuds representing childhood and youth and the full flowers representing adulthood. White roses are symbolic of innocent or secret love, light pink of joy and blessings, rich pink of gratitude and appreciation, and red of romantic love and commitment, and a dark crimson symbolizes the mourning of lost love.

Choose the loving message you most need now, and bless your home and life with flowers.
A Creative Push

From time to time, we all get bogged down in our jobs, hobbies, or spellwork. For an extra creative push, safely light a candle. For this time of year, as we move away from Samhain and toward Yule, choose a candle with an aroma that is a combination of orange spicy and red peppermint.

There are times when candles are not an option. One solution is heated plug-ins, which offer just as many seasonal scents. Yet even they can be a problem in places where no flame or heat is allowed. In that case, scented beads are the perfect solution. These, too, come in diverse scents appropriate for any season or occasion. All of these options can be found in supermarkets and specialty stores.

As you light your candle, say:
At those times when my light burns
low, an extra push will follow.
With soft flame and warm scents,
watch the creativity flow.

Be sure to extinguish the flame.
Sisters’ Plait Prayer

The season of family and holiday gatherings can fill us with a sense of dread if we don’t have common tasks at hand to keep us busy and focused on the real reasons we have to celebrate. Braiding and brushing hair is something that targets our core instincts of social comfort and familiarity. When we let someone close to our hair, we are trusting that they will make us look and feel good about ourselves.

We can also choose to learn new braids and innovative ways to help others look their best. Take some time today to braid a friend’s or sister’s hair, visit the salon, or otherwise treat yourself to that feeling of comfort and security. As you get your hair done or do someone else’s, say or think the flowing prayer:

Sisters, we work together effortlessly,
Woven in trinity.
Stronger together,
We share our energy.
Inner Vision

When this spell was written, it was the year 2019. At that time, we had no idea who would be elected the forty-sixth president of the United States. As you read these words now in the year 2021, a new president is in office and the presidential election of 2020 is a memory.

Magick is about believing and having faith in our ability to effect positive change. Maybe you voted, maybe you didn’t. Maybe you’re an activist or fed up entirely with the election process.

Wherever you may be today, be grateful for the rights we have, the civil rights many continue to fight for, and our ability to practice magick that can help ourselves, our loved ones, and the causes near and dear to our hearts. Blessed be.
Amulet of Protection

Today is All Saints’ Day. Historically, this was a time to honor obscure saints who might otherwise be forgotten. People would also honor their personal saints. Afro-Caribbean traditions connect Christian saints with African loas or orishas. Some Pagans observe this as a holiday for all deities, especially the minor ones who can get overlooked.

That is an ideal time for broadspectrum protection spells. Get an amulet that depicts several deities or traditions that you like. Many interfaith buttons or pendants can serve this purpose. Cleanse the amulet with salt and water, and bless it with a sacred incense such as frankincense, myrrh, cedar, sage, or eucalyptus. If you have favorite saints, orishas, or other patrons, then name them.

Finally, say:
All little gods and minor goddesses,
hidden spirits of all kinds, I honor
you today and ask for your protection.
Keep me safe from all harm.

Carry the amulet with you for safety.

Heartwings Love Notes 1007 Birthdays are for Remembering

Heartwings says, “Birth dates remain the same yet each birthday is different.”

When I was a young child, my birthday was an occasion for gifts and cake, and sometimes a party, though I didn’t have many to invite. I grew up in an isolated part of the town without local playmates. I do remember one party where we played musical chairs, that dreadful game of removing chairs one by one, thus eliminating whomever couldn’t find a seat.
Finally, only one person would be left and declared the winner. It was much too competitive for me, and an occasion for pushing and shoving that seemed very unpleasant and not fun at all. I was never one for pushy games.
Celebrations of my young adulthood and onward were often comprised of a gathering of relatives. My grandmother, my first mother-in-law and my great aunt were all born within the same week. The normal pattern was dinners together, and they were lots of fun.
Usually, we all went over to Great Aunt Alice’s large home and gathered around her big table. She had a cook who made excellent meals-often roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, along with vegetables served on gleaming silver dishes. There was singing as the cake was brought in and shared, along with ice cream and homemade chocolate sauce.
Those days are long past; now at the time of my current celebration, I have the memories of those with whom I gathered to hold in my heart. The older you become the more memories there are. As though they were images on the pages of a treasured book, names and faces from both my distant and recent past come to me.
I could feel mournful if I chose, yet I do not. They were a part of my past and I gladly put it back where it belongs, with a smile. Though fun to visit, it is no place to dwell. The present moment creates its own memories to be treasured, and I would rather stay aware that I may note and accumulate them.
The years bring change, and birthdays are markers that indicate their passing. When I used to be coy about my age, my mother-then around my age now, used to say, “You ought to tell people how old you are and be proud of it.” Well now I do, and I am. Even as I feel the remembered presence of those from former days, I also enjoy celebrating with my current and present moment friends.
One day I will have become a memory in the minds and hearts of those I enjoy being with today. I hope they will remember me and our time together with as much joy as I do them and ours now. Perusing memories is a better birthday game than musical chairs, and far more enjoyable. No one will take them from me, though I may give some away to time. I prefer to celebrate both then and now and have the best of both.

May your birthday memories warm your heart now and always,
Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert

The Power of Staying Positive

Positive thinking dramatically increases your chances of success in any endeavor.

Our thoughts are not simply ethereal pieces of information that enter our minds and then disappear. The words and ideas that we think can shape our lives and drive us toward success and happiness or failure and distress. How you think and feel can have a profound effect on your ability to recognize opportunity, how well you perform, and the outcome of the goals that you’ve set for yourself. When you maintain an optimistic outlook and make an effort to harbor only positive thoughts, you begin to create the circumstances conducive to you achieving what you desire. You feel in control and few of life’s challenges seem truly overwhelming because it is in your nature to expect a positive conclusion. An optimistic mind is also an honest one. Staying positive does not mean that you ignore difficulties or disregard limitations. Instead, it means spending time focusing only on the thoughts that are conducive to your well-being and progress.

Positive thinking dramatically increases your chances of success in any endeavor. When you’re sure that you are worthy and that achievement is within your grasp, you start to relax and look for solutions rather than dwelling on problems. You are more likely to imagine positive situations or outcomes and disregard the thoughts related to giving up, failure, or roadblocks. What the mind expects, it finds. If you anticipate joy, good health, happiness, and accomplishment, then you will experience each one. Thinking positively may sound like a simple shift in attention — and it is — but it is a mind-set that must be developed. Whenever a negative thought enters your mind, try immediately replacing it with a constructive or optimistic one. With persistence, you can condition your mind to judge fleeting, self-defeating thoughts as inconsequential and dismiss them.

It is within your power to become as happy, content, or successful as you make up your mind to be. Staying positive may not have an immediate effect on your situation, but it will likely have a profound and instantaneous effect on your mood and the quality of your experiences. In order for positive thinking to change your life, it must become your predominant mind-set. Once you are committed to embracing positive thinking, you’ll start believing that everything that you want is within your grasp.

Cultivate Happiness With The “3 Good Things” Exercise

Practicing gratitude with this simple exercise can train your brain to amplify positive experiences.

The “3 Good Things” exercise was developed by a prominent positive psychologist who found that reflecting on positive experiences on a daily basis helped to increase people’s happiness and life satisfaction. And the exercise is so easy to do that there’s no reason not to give it a try for yourself!

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Reflect. Once a day, preferably in the evening, take a moment to reflect on the good things that you experienced during the day. It could be anything, from the most trivial (“The sandwich I ate for lunch was delicious”) to the most meaningful and significant (“My baby took her first steps!”).
  2. Write. After reflecting on your good experiences, choose 3 of them and write them down on my free “3 Good Things” printable. (It has 3 spaces for each day of the week, so you can either print out a new sheet each week, or laminate it and fill it out with a dry erase marker so you can keep reusing it.)
  3. Explain. Below each good thing you wrote down, provide a brief explanation of why that thing happened. For the sandwich example, you might write, “I used my knowledge of what I like to pick a good sandwich,” and for the baby steps example, you could write, “She’s getting stronger and more confident under my care.”

How this exercise works:
While recognizing when good things happen is important, exploring why they happen is equally crucial. It will teach you to pay attention to the role you play in making good things happen for yourself, which will help you feel more connected to the life you live and appreciative of what you have.

Transforming Anger to Light

When we have anger that is lingering, we can give it to the earth to transmute and give a new purpose.

As humans, we all have anger, sometimes more than others. A healthy way of purging our anger from our bodies is to give it to Mother Earth. We can imagine ourselves being grounded as the electrical energy passes from us into Mother Earth below. We can see that energy go straight to the earth’s core where it becomes part of the continuous growth process of our planet and is transformed from negative to positive, from dark to light. When we choose to give our anger to the earth, we trust our connection with the natural world we live in and the great universe that fuels it all. Mother Earth will lovingly transform your anger into light so no need to feel guilty about unloading to her.

We can make this offering of our energy from any location, whether many stories up or on a ship at sea. We know the earth is below us, supporting us and sustaining us. If we have the opportunity to physically connect to the earth by going outdoors and touching unpaved ground, we may find it easier to connect to nature’s energy flow. It may also be easier to receive the flow of positive, calming, healing energy that comes to fill our bodies when we have emptied ourselves of our anger. To begin, sit and breathe deeply, ask Mother Earth to accept your anger, and imagine it coming down your spine out of your tailbone, and into the earth’s deep core. To finish, be sure to honor and thank the earth for her loving service.

When we work with our anger this way, we acknowledge that like everything else it is merely energy that can be used positively or negatively. During our grounding meditation, we may be given direction to channel this energy for its best use. We may find that the earth can help us cleanse misplaced energy to use for its rightful purpose. When we do this with gratitude, we know that we are not misusing the earth for our own selfish purposes. Instead we are connecting ourselves with the energy of our homeland, and when we do this we nurture the earth as it nourishes us.

Ghost Hunting Theories
Hidden Rooms and Strangers Hiding in Homes!

One of the most creepy themes involving old buildings is a new owner investigating only to find a trap door, a movable bookcase, or a wall that was covered over to hide an unknown void….

All of this gets even creepier when people wonder what the room was used for or perhaps they find someone was living in that space all the time they were on the other side of the wall feeding their children, watching TV and making love. If that doesn’t give one shivers, I don’t know what would!

One chilling story is told by a 15-year-old. His family moved into a home that had been vacant for a year. They lived in it for a year before the boys were playing in the master bedroom, one of them bumping into a bookcase that moved. They took their smartphones and went down an iron spiral staircase to find a crawlspace. After crawling in, they found a room with wrappers from their Halloween candy and odd miscellaneous things like dolls and a key. The children scrambled out of there and police were called to investigate. It was determined that someone had been using the room at various times. The area was boarded up. (LINK)

Plenty of times homeowners have found hidden spaces with time capsules and treasures hidden away and rooms for the Underground Railroad.

The historic Civil War Hospital estate I grew up in, there was a fireplace in the dining room angled oddly. The family who had been living there when the war broke out were Quakers. When my curious siblings and I investigated, we drilled a hole into the hallway floor above and then into the wall and held a light to the hole in the wall and looked through the hole in the floor above and saw a space with a stool, some cloth, a newspaper of some kind…. We could only assume someone had made a hiding place for runaway slaves, perhaps making some loose bricks in the fireplace to allow entry and exit when needed.

There is something a lot more terrifying about a hidden space if there is someone residing in it without your knowledge. We get freaked out enough at the idea of ghosts in our homes, but imagine a person who could access you while you slept, who heard your conversations and maybe even saw you in your most intimate moments?

Celebrities are not immune to this issue. Jennifer Lopez had a male stalker who managed to live in her pool guest house for a full week, even posting pics from there.

In China, a man noticing he kept losing money and food items and other things in his apartment. He always made sure to lock the doors and windows when he left, but still things went missing. One time, he was locked out of his apartment and the police came and found a hole in the ceiling that led to the attic of the three-story building. A homeless person had been living up in there. The thief had been sneaking in from the roof top into the attic and then down into the apartments, stealing what he needed. (LINK)

There are plenty of structures with crawlspaces, hidden rooms for hiding valuables, panic rooms, torture rooms, escape route hallways, and the like. Sometimes, when people stumble upon these voids, they have to wonder; what were they used for? If walls could talk!

Gilberto Rides Again, Chapter 26
by Stephen Halpert

Smith drove adroitly through Boston traffic to upper Washington Street toward South Boston. There after several left and right turns, he slowed to a near stop outside an abandoned office building. Its roof in need of repair, several windows were broken, trash littered the sidewalk. Smith removed the phone from his inside jacket pocket, opened his window, came to a full stop by a drop box where he slid Mona’s phone into a narrow slot.
Carefully he drove through a maze of narrow streets in South Boston until he exited onto Morrisey Blvd. Ahead he saw a fast food joint and pulled into its parking lot. Then he breathed a sigh of relief.
“I doubt we’ll have any company at least for now,” he said.
Rain passed the sushi platter forward. “Take some, I’ve been nibbling.”
Gilberto and Smith took several pieces. Neither had had much lunch having been interrupted by the arrival of the three Chinese toughs.
“I can’t help but wonder,” Smith said. “How many phones at Atlas are tapped into an ease dropping network?”
“That seemed to be of interest to those Chinese,” Rain said.
“Yes,” Gilberto said, “Sara Midgley did say that Buzz had intended all along to ultimately sell Clay Calhoun to the Chinese. That was before the roof fell in and he was hospitalized.”
Smith frowned. “So we must ponder who’s working for who and how does an old Confederate bastion like Greenbush figure into all this?”
“Give me quality time with their Colonel Dimwittie’s and I’ll get some answers,” Rain said flatly.
“And face repercussions,” Smith said.
Rain crinkled her nose. In a soft voice she said. “I wouldn’t hurt him. I’d comfort him sufficient for him to want to share everything about this entire business with me.”
Smith chuckled. “Of course you wouldn’t hurt him. How could I think such a thing? Believe me, let you at him and we’d face lawsuits. Our director would then consider terminating us and scuttling our entire Department.”
“Where did you get your strength,” Gilberto asked.
“Rugby,” she said.
“I played soccer,” Gilberto said.
Rain smiled. “Yes, soccer is very civilized. Rugby has some rough edges. That’s why I liked it.”
“You think soccer is civilized?” Gilberto laughed. “I hadn’t heard that one before.”
“Oh but it is,” Rain smiled. “Very fast and certainly skilled but very different from rugby.”
“I always enjoyed golf,” Smith said. “Still do.”
“That too is civilized,” Rain said.
“May I ask how you intend to proceed,” Gilberto said.
“I can assure you solutions will become evident. My sense is to let this entire conundrum play itself out before our eyes.”
“I like your confidence,” Gilberto said. He took one of the remaining pieces of sushi.”
“He is confident,” Rain said. “That I can certainly attest to.”
Smith dropped Gilberto off at his condo. “We’ll be in touch,” Smith said. Rain jumped into the front seat and they sped away.
He entered the condo. Maria hugged him. “You received a call from Ed Long, Joey’s headmaster at Houndstooth. I think he’d like to meet with you.”
Gilberto felt concern. “Is everything all right? Joey’s not in trouble?”
Maria smiled and kissed him. “You always worry. Stop being pessimistic. Joey told them that you’d make a great soccer coach. He showed them some of your press clippings. I think that’s why Mr. Long called.”
Gilberto frowned. “I haven’t time to coach soccer; especially now with Atlas going in who know what direction.”
She kissed him very gently, smiled and began loosening his tie and unbuttoning his shirt. “Time to get you out of that uniform and into something a little more casual and relaxed. I think Joey’s right. You’d make a great soccer coach. Anyway, I made an appointment for you with him for next week to meet him for lunch. Apparently, he read some of your clippings when you and Ramon won those cups.”
“Ancient history,” Gilberto said.
Maria smiled. “Modesty. You’re so modest sometimes I could scream. She loosened his belt and proceeded to let his trousers fall to the floor.”
“He looked momentarily confused. “What are you doing?”
“Undressing you, what any loving wife would to do to help her husband free up from all that corporate stress that could turn his hair gray.”
She led him into their bedroom. “Sit,” she said pointing to the bed. She then untied his shoes, removed his socks and pulled his trousers off.”
He smiled. “Aren’t I supposed to be undressing you?”
She smiled. “You’ve done that so often. I thought maybe it was my turn to give you a little excitement. “
She stood, closed the curtain overlooking the Charles, proceeded to lock their bedroom door.
“If you’re chilly climb under the covers.”
“He smiled. “You’re seducing me, aren’t you?”
“I think of it as stress release. Remember Gilberto, I want you to last and eliminating stress seems more than sensible.”
“Oh so you’re being sensible?” He reached for her.
She slid into his arms. “Yes, very sensible. Practical too. You had sushi for lunch didn’t you?” She crawled out of her jeans.
He nodded. “How could you tell?”
“Wasabi kisses,” she grinned. “Very spicy, hot actually.” She slid into bed beside him. “If you had sushi you must have lunched with your friend Smith.”
“And his athletic assistant Diana Rain.”
“I haven’t met her yet,” Maria kissed him. “That wasabi makes my tongue tingle. But I won’t ask what you talked about. I want you here with me now in the present moment.”
He grinned. “Rain prevented three Chinese toughs from attacking me and Smith.”
“In which case I owe her my deepest thanks,” Maria said. She snuggled closer, feeling his warm hands against her back. “I must be getting more like you,” she smiled. “I could do this all day.”

Kitty Kat’s Korner

Ode to Famous Black Cats
By Phillip Mlynar

The sleek, silhouetted form of the black cat has long proved alluring to pop culture artists and writers, especially those working in the medium of moving pictures. Whether starring in movies, popping up in TV shows or even lighting up the social media scene, here’s a salute to 10 sophisticated black cats on screen.

Felix The Cat
A pioneering icon among animated felines, Felix The Cat debuted in the black-and-white silent movie days. Sporting a permanent widemouthed grin, Felix’s shenanigans propelled him to stardom — until he was upstaged by a certain talking cartoon mouse from the Disney stable. Here’s a fun fact: Felix was the first cartoon likeness to be made into a parade balloon. He made his debut appearance in the 1933 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Snowball II
When The Simpsons’ white cat Snowball unfortunately passed away in a car accident, Homer and the family replaced her with a black kitty. Keeping things suitably screwy, they named the new feline Snowball II. Since then, the lineage of Snowball has reached a fifth incarnation of the cat — who retains the moniker Snowball II so as to save money on having to buy new food bowls.

Salem Saberhagen
The kitty co-star of the Sabrina The Teenage Witch TV series is an animatronic black cat called Salem Saberhagen who claims a fantastical origin story: According to lore, Salem is actually a 500-year-old witch who was sentenced by the Witches Council to live out the next 100 years in the form of a black cat. Salem’s crime? Just a little something called attempting world domination, as all self-respecting megalomaniacal felines are wont to attempt.

Back in the 1960s, The Munsters battled The Addams Family in a TV sitcom ratings battle. Supporting the Munster clan’s ghoulish gags was a no-nonsense feline named Kitty who ruled the roost at their 1313 Mockingbird Lane abode. Kitty’s calling card? A fondness for letting out an almighty lion’s roar when disturbed.

Thackery Binx
Set in the city of Salem, the opening to the 1993 family fantasy flick Hocus Pocus features the character Thackery Binx being magicked into a black cat by a trio of witches played by Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker. Granted with immortality, Binx steps up to guard the homestead on Halloween so the meddling witches cannot be summoned back — a task he undertakes with great determination and bravery.

In the enchanting 1989 Studio Ghibli animated movie Kiki’s Delivery Service, the aspiring witch of the title zips around town on her broomstick carrying out good deeds, while her black cat companion Jiji contributes less-than-helpful sarcastic quips. In the American version of the film, Jiji’s sardonic asides are relayed by the voice of Saturday Night Live comedian Phil Hartman.

Strutting into the social media realm, Rover is one of the black cat kings of Instagram. This foppish feline has dubbed himself “your favorite runway meowdel” and delights his 300,000 followers by donning fashion-forward outfits and parading up and down his in-home runway. As Rover brags in one video while sporting a flamboyant, fluffed-up, feather scarf, “The tail is everything.” Check him out @rover_thecat.

Princess Monster Truck
The legend of the fantastically named Princess Monster Truck begins in 2013 when a Persian kitty with an overbite tumbled out of a bush on a street in New York. After being offered a forever home by the humans who rescued her, Ms. Truck now spends her days delivering pro-adoption messages to her loyal army of Instagram fans. Check her out @princessmonstertruck.

Everyone loves a talking anime cat — and Luna from the Sailor Moon franchise is one of the genre’s most treasured felines. Sporting a signature moon on her forehead, Luna takes on a mentor role to the Sailor Team, becomes romantically smitten with the astronaut Kakeru, and reveals that her computer password translates as “the rabbit on the moon bakes mochi cakes.”

A shapeshifter who switches between human and feline forms, Isis is a sci-fi kitty who inhabits the Star Trek universe while sporting a signature bejeweled collar. Isis’s first key appearance aired in 1968, where during the episode Assignment: Earth she helped sabotage a nuclear missile. Fast forwarding to the 23rd century, Isis is also credited with thwarting a plot to assassinate Spock at the 2293 diplomatic Khitomer Conference.

Georgia Nicols Weekly Horoscope: Sunday, November 07, 2021
All Signs

This week begins with ease, especially in practical terms because people will support and help each other. However, by Wed., everything changes and in an epic showdown, feisty Mercury joins scrappy Mars in Scorpio to challenge stern Saturn. This is an all-out defiance to authority (whatever authority represents in your life). Authority might be your boss or the head of the family. It might be the government. It might be the church. It might be tradition. Whatever the case, no matter how hard “authority” tries to control or oppress – it will be forced to cave. Clearly, the little guy wins! By the end of the week, all is calm and cool. Oh yeah, this will be the time to put the “b” back in subtle.

Aries (March 21-April 19)
This week begins in gentle terms; however, you are concerned with financial matters connected with shared property, jointly-held items, shared responsibilities and dealing with the wealth and resources of someone else. You might also feel a bit challenged having to deal with values that are different from your own? Certainly, some of these issues will come to a head midweek when someone older, perhaps a friend or a person in authority, in a group or an organization, challenges your stance on inheritances, shared property, taxes, debt or your arrangement with someone about shared resources. Things could get nasty. But Venus at the top of your chart will bless you and pave the way for successful relations with almost everyone.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)
This is a powerful time for you because you look so successful in the eyes of others, especially parents, bosses and VIPs. And to be sure, this is a time of harvest for you when the seeds that you have planted since around 2005 are now coming to fruition. This week starts off gently. Travel plans appeal! You might be involved with someone from another culture? However, be patient with partners and close friends as well as parents and authority figures midweek, when you find yourself at odds with someone. You might attract someone to you who is adamant about their POV. (This never helps.) Be patient. You might play the role of arbitrator or peacemaker. Or maybe someone needs to play this role for you? (Yikes!)

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This is a busy time for you. You are setting your standards high because you want to be efficient, organized in everything you do, and on top of that, you also want to address health issues. Bottom line: You want to whip your life in shape. Midweek however, you will encounter difficulties with someone that might be work-related? Or they could relate to your pet or even your health in some fashion. Whatever happens will feel challenging! Nevertheless, your energy and drive will help you to find a solution and go forward with more confidence. Hey, this is just a brief, dark cloud on your horizon.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Relations with partners and close friends are very supportive now because fair Venus is opposite your sign. Even your relations with members of the general public are warm and friendly. However, parents might have a real challenge midweek dealing with their kids. Oh yeah. Arguments, hissy fits, meltdowns and rebellion are possible scenarios that you might face. Romantic partners might also be at odds with each other. (Kinda nasty.) Do not add fuel to the flame. Use patience and reasoning to establish a calmer, win-win solution with everyone. Because, this is possible! Venus will help you. (Dark chocolate will also help you.)

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Lately, you have been super focused on home, family and dealing with increased chaos where you live. This could be due to visiting guests, residential moves, changes on the home front including renovations or decorating projects. It’s enough that this is going on, right? You don’t need more angst from disagreements and arguments. However, this is what might happen midweek. Take a moment and remind yourself that patience is the antidote to anger. Patience doesn’t necessarily remove the cause of the problem but it’s a wonderful temporary benefit. Meanwhile, you will enjoy working this week because relations with coworkers are excellent. (Also remember that family is gold.)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
This week continues to be busy and fast-paced because of the demands of errands, the increased activity of people around you, more time spent with siblings and relatives plus you might be reading and studying more than usual as well. Yes, your plate is full. (Save room for dessert.) Venus promotes warm relations with children and romantic lovers. Venus will also attract fun, social occasions to you! However, midweek, you will be at odds with someone. It could be a nasty confrontation. Sometimes, when you’re seriously at odds with someone you have to just accept what is and agree to disagree. This never feels right but what is the alternative?

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Libra rules haute couture. It is also the sign that rules the law, which is why lawyers are such a well-dressed bunch. This week, you might be embroiled with others about financial matters, money issues or disputes about ownership. These disputes might include something related to kids or something related to social plans and vacations. On the upside, your efforts to entertain at home and redecorate are unhindered. All is well there. Distance yourself from heated discussions about money and possessions because you need your analytical energy to appeal to the logic and common sense of others. Time to get things done. I rest my handbag.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You are right in the middle of the action this week because the Sun, Mercury and Mars are lined up in your sign; and by midweek, they are at odds with stern Saturn. (Yikes!) This could mean a major blow up with a parental figure. It might also mean you will encounter some kind of blow up related to home and family. Whatever it is – you don’t need it! Very likely, you will be challenged by authority figures, parents, the law, tradition or the restrictions of something due to an inevitable reality. Note: One definition of maturity is: Learn to accept the restrictions that you must labour under, and then function to the best of your ability within them.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Although this week begins in an easy-going way (and easy-going is your style), nevertheless, midweek, you might feel bothered by something. Perhaps this is something going on behind the scenes? Perhaps it’s something that’s troubling you at a subconscious level? The thing to know is you can simply ride this one out because by the end of the week, all is fine again. Meanwhile, this is a great week to attract money and goodies to you. It’s also an excellent week to shop for beautiful things for yourself and loved ones. (Yesterday, when discussing my grandson’s eclectic taste in music, he said, “It took me a long time to love what I love.”) Ah yes, developing the confidence in one’s tastes.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
This week is a bit of a roller coaster ride when it comes to relating to your friends, as well as members of groups and organizations. As the beginning of the week unfolds, all is well. In fact, people are supportive to each other. However, by midweek, you will encounter a real challenge with someone, perhaps related to the authority of a group? Or it could be related to how to spend a certain amount of money? Or it could be related to who has control over money and goods? It might be a real clash — so get ready for this. Quite likely, the powers who oppose you will lose their advantage. This means you simply have to persevere. Be dogged.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
This is definitely a dicey week for your sign. As mentioned above in All Signs, this week begins in a favourable way with people being helpful and supportive to each other. However, suddenly, midweek everything changes. You will find yourself in conflict with authority figures – parents, bosses, teachers, VIPs and the police. They will dig in their heels. You will dig in your heels. It will be a clash of wills. They might have rules and regulations on their side but you will ignore these and rebel, in order to fight for the improvements and change that you believe are necessary. In this case, you might succeed because the forces of authority are weak, and you are strong.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Be smart and steer clear of groups and organizations that are excited about controversial matters this week – matters involving politics, religion or racial issues. Naturally, it’s good to take a stand on what you believe in. However, this week, especially midweek, people will get their belly in a rash about whatever upsets them, and the result will be turmoil and conflict. Quite likely, nothing will be achieved. If you are trying to push an agenda regarding these matters or something to do with publishing, the media, higher education and the law – whatever forces oppose you will probably dissipate or diminish by the end of the week. This leaves you as the victorious survivor, waving your banner for your cause. Nevertheless, timing is everything. Pick our fights. You gotta know when to hold and when to fold.

Weekly Horoscopes beginning Sunday, 07 November 2021

If you’re born within a cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you’re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You’re on the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consist of every possible detail of everyday and are based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don’t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Recent obstacles forced you to rethink plans. While, initially, this was frustrating, suddenly, things are moving swiftly. However, they’re not going in the direction you planned, which means rethinking arrangements day by day. While this variety of focus doesn’t come naturally to you, as a quick-thinking Aries, what you learn from even irritating details will prove interesting, if not pivotal, to the decisions you’re making.

A health and safety issue will crop up in the workplace. Although a person won’t be seriously injured, a minor accident will have those in power looking at ways of improving safety. You may be asked to give your views. You will be getting on great with a work or romantic partner and it will seem as if you can read each other’s minds. This helps you anticipate their reactions and you will be making suggestions with their needs and feelings in mind.

Your wits should be short and super-sharp by mid-week. Following on from the recent Scorpio New Moon, it appears you’re ready to put the best foot forward and to confront those whom you feel have either negotiated badly or not at all; and yes, you could strike an amazing deal. Working on behalf of others suits you. In fact, being seen to be the outstanding member of a group may be very important. Remember though, with the limelight comes responsibility. Those of your sign are generally extremely good initiators: where you have a weakness is in following through (you get bored and need to move on!). Even now you may be realising that you’ve come to the end of the road in a series of tasks that began possibly as much as seven years ago. Though you might not be ready to move on just yet, planning to do so may be important. As if this isn’t enough for you to think about, there’s also that the on-going issue of style. It does appear that a ‘new you’ is emerging, softer on the outside apparently but toughened and more experienced at a different level.

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

The adage says ‘choose your battles’. Make that your motto and you’ll sidestep pointless irritations and focus on developments as unexpected as they are intriguing. True, you’re unfamiliar with much of what’s involved. That’s the point. Take those first steps, chat with others and soon you’ll exchange those doubts for enthusiasm, often about ideas or offers that, only recently, you’d have firmly rejected.

Partnership matters are progressing as you had hoped. Past careful planning will be paying off handsomely now. Outside relationships may not be going as well, in fact some are iffy and you will get the feeling a friendship is not as compatible as you first thought. You have been uncertain about some ideas housemates have been talking about but now the time has come, you will welcome new opportunities with open arms.

You might not meet actual confrontation mid-week, but there is every chance you will feel the need to stand your ground. Mercury aligns with Mars in your opposite sign and you could feel up against it. It may be that there is a realisation that the buck needs to stop with you. Recall that Saturn is passing over the apex of your solar chart, accentuating issues of responsibility. Note too, that your entrepreneurial streak (regardless of the actual date of your birthday) has been surfacing. Now may be the time to take the reins – especially when you see how incompetent others have been. Yours is a sign known for lasting the course: you can be consistent, determined and resolute. Accessing all of those energies might require extra energy and perhaps be fuelled by a little anger. By Friday however, you should be immersed in thoughts about design and presentation and loving every minute of it.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

It’s not that you’ve been secretive but that, every time you began discussing certain plans, the foundation on which they were based shifted, often dramatically. While you’re superb at turning even twists and turns of this nature into something workable, others are struggling with doubts. Proceed, but quietly. This avoids pointless debates and will, ultimately, prove how right your plans and ideas were.

Be patient with a friend who has a massive chip on their shoulder. They may feel uncertain of how they stand in a romantic situation. This bothers them more than they are letting on and because you know everyone who is involved, you may be able to reassure them. An older relative’s comments and criticism has been upsetting you. Their attitude has stifled your imagination but they won’t be so critical of your ideas now.

By mid-week your nerves will likely be seriously overstretched. Given that possibility, it’s important to do what you can over Monday and Tuesday to calm these ahead of possible storm. Perhaps you’ll be aware of a hiatus at work where there is real disagreement as to whether or not an old method should stay in place, or a new one tried. Being caught between the past and the future has been a recurrent theme throughout 2021 but now could reach crisis point. You may feel that you have insufficient expertise to move forward on a new path. Yet you likely know that you cannot cling on to old ways of working, and that in some ways these are long past their sell by date. Gathering courage and aligning with those who have confidence is important. In this respect, it might be wise (for the moment) to avoid to close a partnership with those born under other Mutable signs like your own i.e., Gemini Sagittarius or Pisces, and listen carefully to Taurus and Scorpio if they appear to offer good plans and structures.

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

True, enjoying life’s pleasures and dealing with its challenges isn’t easy, especially when you’re distracted by unsettled, if not dramatic, changes. Still, the more you get involved in upbeat plans, the more optimistic you’ll feel about tricky matters and, better yet, life in general. Once your optimism has returned, you’ll realise just how much you care about certain people and plans, enough to renew your enthusiasm.

Agreeing to do a small favour for a friend or neighbour could lead to them asking for another and then another. You might suddenly find yourself in a situation you aren’t happy about. You shouldn’t have to feel obliged to help them. You expected a partner to be negative about some of your plans. These involve activities they aren’t normally interested in so it will come as some surprise when they urge you to make a decision that you feel is right for you and they even offer to help you.

Creatively, it seems you’re on fire. Partly boosted by last week’s New Moon in Watery Scorpio which made rare alignment with the two planets known for bringing radical development, Mercury moves on to conjoin with Mars in your creative zone. Don’t be surprised if others want to partner with you – especially around the First Quarter Moon on Thursday. Yet you might also be aware of under-currents most probably caused by jealousy but perhaps also prompted by financial concerns. All can be resolved by the time the Sun makes fabulous aspect to Neptune on Friday. Indeed, that might yet prove to be a most magical day where not only are your talents recognised, but when it becomes apparent just how important you are within a team and how crucial your input is with regard to a project set to be launched early in 2022.

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Only recently you agreed to go along with unwelcome changes, and now you’re facing yet more. The real problem isn’t the actual changes but that the swift pace has kept you from recognising just how much they’re contributing to your life. If in doubt, chat with somebody you trust. They’ll help you spot not only how much you’re benefiting but how you will in the future.

Requests to cover for colleagues who are absent either for health or holiday reasons keep coming your way. You already have plenty to do of your own and you could do without this added pressure. Somehow you will fit it all in although when you look back on it all you will wonder how you found the time and energy. Confirmation of a long-term project will be great news for you and this gives you something to look forward to.

It seems a hiatus is brewing. The alignment of Mercury with Mars mid-week comes just ahead of the First Quarter Moon in your opposite sign. This suggests that any disputes since last week’s New Moon matters may have escalated. What is clear is that you need change – or perhaps you need a break. Don’t underestimate your entrepreneurial talents or your undoubted skills at wheeling and dealing. You can yet work your way forward; but yes, you’re right: before you can move ahead you first need to mop up the past. Understanding will be needed. Headstrong as you can be, you need support – and from someone who in recent weeks has appeared overcritical of your ideas and plans. Yet perhaps they haven’t quite understood the degree of bravery and courage needed. You may be a lion but you need the pack behind you.

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

The obstacles you’re facing are as unexpected as they are exciting, in the sense they’re taking you in new directions and involve people you find fascinating. It’s just you’ve worryingly little control about details or timing. Actually, for now, that fine. With so much still in transition, you’re better off focusing on the big picture. Important as details seem, you’re better off dealing with them later, change of ideas.

A group project could do with your help. You have the skills and expertise to make this a worthwhile venture. Time spent with like-minded friends will be enjoyable. Some interesting and exciting news will come your way around Wednesday and this will take you aback. The biggest surprise is what a big impression you have made on an official person. A plum assignment will be offered to you and this will be a one you will be delighted to take on.

You’d perhaps agree that you have very particular ways of working. You know which systems are tried and trusted and yes, at times can be resistant to doing things differently. Presently it seems you are challenged to at least review a new system even if you don’t embrace it wholeheartedly. As you know too well, ideas are all well and good; it’s their practical application that matters. Yet progress isn’t made without trying something new. Yes, it’s arguably true that others have to persuade you to accept inevitable teething difficulties. These should be temporary. At the beginning of December there is a Solar Eclipse at the base of your solar chart: a signal of a fresh start. This week, it seems you’re forced to confront the reality of the challenges ahead.

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Events are forcing you to rethink elements of your work, lifestyle or close alliances. While changes have been in the air for ages, you’d prefer to gather facts, talk things through with others, then reflect. However, the current swift pace makes that impossible. Acknowledge your concerns, then plunge in anyway. What you learn once you’re actually involved will transform your perspective and boost your spirits.

Tread with care in the workplace. Be discreet about your plans. If you are hoping for a promotion, you are more likely to get your wish by proving how determined, hard-working and discreet you can be. A family dilemma won’t be easily resolved. You may think you have said your final word about future plans but others think differently. A housemate will want to reopen discussions in the hope you will change your mind.

There are deals to be struck. True, these will surely be very different to what you might have considered a year ago; but recall that the recent Scorpio New Moon configured with both Uranus and Pluto: the two planets known to bring radical developments. These should be apparent by mid-week when Mercury and Mars align. Yes, this will likely get your scales moving and yes, that will surely be unnerving. Yet note that Thursday’s First Quarter Moon is in another of the Air signs, Aquarius. Your speculative antenna should be working well. Think self- investment, self-improvement and self-health. It’s perhaps time to have check-ups of all kinds, and to seize the moment. You may be much relieved by Friday; feeling that you’ve negotiated a significant corner. In all this, you’ll likely be grateful to the support of the Sagittarius or Pisces.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

You don’t think of yourself as stubborn until you realise the time and energy, you’re investing in avoiding certain unwelcome changes. You may not be happy about them, but it’s increasingly clear they’re in your best interests. The real challenge? It’s recognising that you’re not losing a battle but, in fact, simply recognising that one particular change is inevitable. Let go. It will make life a lot easier.

Group activities will be fun, stimulating and at times, sensational. People you are just getting to know seem to know how to add spice and interest to a team effort. Just don’t neglect your old friends. Someone who was once very close to you could do with your advice or support. For a moment it will look like a neighbour or colleague is having a secret affair but appearances can be deceptive.

Yours is one of the Fixed signs of the zodiac – suggesting resistance to change. Yet fast moving developments could yet force you to consider alternatives. True, that might work more on the personal relationship front than in the working scene. That said, Thursday’s First Quarter Moon accents the backbone of your solar chart. It may be that developments link back to decisions considered back in late January/February. It might only be now that you’re ready to move forward. Buying and selling are also key features of these next few days. You might not feel entirely comfortable about saying goodbye to a place, property or item, but perhaps accept that the time is right for moving on. Obviously much depends on your personal chart, but it does seem that without too much effort, a new career path could be opening up. In this, your ability to make good presentation will surely be a major factor.

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Currently, the situations you’re facing require painstaking attention but, annoying, you’ve little control. This is annoying, mostly because you could find better ways to deal with them. Tempting as it is get involved, the matters in question are dull and would devour your time. Be patient. The Sun’s move into Sagittarius on the 22nd triggers an exciting period, one that will make up for lost time.

A friend has a big problem and they will come to you for advice. You know someone who could probably help them. You might feel guilty about making use of your contacts but at the same time you would like to help resolve a frustrating dilemma. Money is an area where there could be dispute. Someone in the family is spending cash with no thought of tomorrow. Remind them that there are bills that need to be paid and it is unfair of them to expect you to cover all joint expenses.

Sagittarius has a perhaps unjustified reputation for carelessness. The fact is that you think quickly and optimistically and so arrive at quick conclusions. It may be however, that the past is about to catch up with you and that paperwork has not been attended to as diligently as was needed. By the time that Mercury aligns with Mars mid-week, it should be apparent that certain issues simply have to be addressed if your long-term future is to be held secure. That’s the heavy part of the week. The lighter part is that now that Venus has left your sign, there’s less need for you to feel that you need to be the life and soul of every party and greater potential for building solid working partnership with those who needs your enthusiasm and experience to achieve a goal that you would never have thought of – but which you recognise as something you absolutely want to make part of your life journey.

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Judging by challenging planetary activity involving your ruler Saturn, hot-headed Mars and Uranus, even simple plans won’t last as you intended. While, ordinarily, you’d stick with what you’ve organised, you’re urged to explore everything, including what’s least expected. At minimum, you’ll learn something. However, the odds are good what you learn will get you rethinking arrangements that, once, you’d never have considered changing.

Ideas that sounded nothing more than wishful thinking recently are starting to take hold. The more you talk about them, the more you and others will start taking them seriously. It will be exciting to realise that some thoughts do have the potential to be turned into reality. Plan well in advance as you always like to do and this could be the start of a pleasing and very rewarding phase for you.

Venus is now moving through your sign. This transit occurs every year but doesn’t always coincide with this phase of the Scorpio New Moon. It’s highly likely that at work you are now seen as a key member of a team and that others would like you to take on even more responsibility. Yes, that theme has gone on and on and on. Perhaps you need to accept that this is part of your life quest and that your shoulders are broad enough. You can cope. In fact, you might even be exhilarated by some of the proposals offered. You have a gift – which should be on display mid-week, – for forensic examination of an issue and for formulating plans that see these realised. Though you might despair at times of the lack of practicality shown by others, perhaps by next Friday you will applaud their contribution as regards presentation and diplomacy.

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

Whatever it is you’re planning, you explore your options beforehand, so rarely need to rethink things. Yet now a combination of events, changes in others’ circumstances and your own shifting priorities means reviewing, if not radically changing, almost everything. While this is disruptive at the moment, what you’re learning and who you’re meeting are broadening your horizons in ways as amazing as they are worthwhile.

A neighbour has plenty to say about a recent incident. They will expect you to go along with their suggestions but these may not be sensible or realistic. It might be a better idea to approach a sensible friend and seek their advice. You know you can trust someone who has been helpful in the past and they will happily assist you now. A chance to improve your career standing may not be what it seems to be. Look into this offer very carefully.

Mid-week, Mercury and Mars align at the apex of your solar chart. This isn’t something they do every year, and suggests a kick start to your career, aims and objectives. Yes, it could be fuelled by anger and determination but also by resilience and focus. You can get to where you want to be. In fact, you might have something to celebrate by next Friday. Recall that the recent New Moon (which also accented that career point), coincided with a rare configuration involving the two planets known to bring radical developments. It’s entirely possible that shakeups have already happened and that there is now room for you to move into a vacant slot. If you want to push your career in fresh direction, there should be very few obstacles. Remember, this is that mega-rare year when Jupiter and Saturn are together moving through your sign. One is opening doors and the other is bringing extra responsibility. All you have to do is embrace possibilities.

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

As idealistic Piscean, the struggle to balance life’s practicalities with your own idealism can lead to complications. Tempting as it is to brush these off, ask others to explain their concerns in depth. Then ask questions. Similarly, tell them about your aims and ideals. The resulting discussions will help resolve existing issues but could also begin an ongoing, and amazingly rewarding, exchange of ideas.

Take a cautious approach to legal matters, finances and business affairs. Someone will try to push you to sign the dotted line before you feel ready to do so. Wait until you have gone through contracts with a fine-toothed comb. Ask for professional advice if you still feel uncertain. A group project is going well and you are all aware that plans won’t succeed without everyone being able to give them more time.

As you are no doubt aware, it’s as much who you know as what you know. Networking is essential for all signs. Pisces though it seems to have a gift in this direction. Yet recall, the glyph your sign shows fishes swimming in opposite directions. There are times when you go off on one and have to be re-caught and repositioned. That’s perhaps exactly where you are now. The need to make fresh connections is now urgent. You likely need support – whether or not you are involved in developing new career strategy. Environment improvement perhaps needs to be made top priority. The good news is that a positive aspect between the Sun and Neptune (one of your ruling planets) occurs next Friday. By then you may have exactly the right support (and possibly even finance) to move forward.

Monthly Horoscopes For November 2021

If you’re born within a cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you’re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You’re on the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consist of every possible detail of everyday and are based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don’t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this month:

October’s chaos has forced you to make numerous changes. In the process, you’ve reviewed numerous arrangements, some longstanding, and realised many are holding you back. November is about deciding what to change or, possibly, say farewell to. The timing is perfect. Destiny is already forcing you to focus on practicalities, from time and money to rethinking your goals. While this will take longer than you anticipate, what you learn about others, certain matters and, most of all, yourself will benefit you for years to come.

November has an intense beginning for you. It’s possible you’ll get an unexpected bill on the 4th, when the New Moon disrupts your cash flow. If you’re looking for work, seek opportunities that pay on a commission basis. You’ll easily outperform the competition. Close relationships can be a source of irritation in the middle weeks of November. No matter what you say or do, your loved ones take exception to it. Seek to satisfy yourself instead. The Lunar Eclipse on the 19th warns against lending or borrowing money; mixing friendship with finance is a big mistake. Opportunities to expand your horizons will abound at the end of the month. You’ll welcome the chance to escape the boredom of the old routine. Take an online course or plan a long-distance trip.

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this month:

Although you committed to powerful, and timely, changes some months ago, things aren’t going as planned. That’s because the foundation on these were based has shifted. Instead of juggling options, wait and watch until the 19th, when the Taurus eclipsed New Moon triggers changes as timely as they are unexpected. The resulting events may seem unsettling. Still, go with the flow. As the days and weeks pass, you’ll be relieved about what’s gone and thrilled with changes as unexpected as they are brimming with promise.

A close relationship demands your attention at the start of November. The New Moon on the 4th pressures you to make a commitment or walk away from a union. An intense desire for freedom may prompt you to go solo. Don’t overestimate your importance at work towards the middle of the month. Demanding special treatment, cutting corners and breaking rules could result in disaster. On the 19th, a Lunar Eclipse will tempt you to change your image. This could do more harm than good. It’s better to maintain the status quo than make any sudden alterations to your appearance and persona. Your love life will sizzle with excitement in the final days of November. A rendezvous with the object of your affection will be lots of fun.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this month:

Few things are as rewarding as dealing with and, when necessary, ridding yourself of burdensome arrangements. That’s what November’s all about. The downside? Many of these involve dull practicalities you’ve avoided for ages. Yet once you’ve begun, you’ll spot the benefits you’ve been missing. While, at times, it will seem with so much disarray, decisions are impossible. However, this is about updating your interests, socially, emotionally or in more worldly terms. What you’re discovering us opening up a new, and exciting, world of options for you.

On the 4th, the New Moon warns against accepting a job that seems too good to be true. It’s better to hold out for a position at an established company with a good reputation than a start-up operation. In the middle of November, you’ll be focused on improving your physical and emotional health. Scale back your work schedule to make more time for therapeutic activities and supportive relationships. A Lunar Eclipse on the 19th brings the end to a secretive situation that has been making you miserable. Turning your back on this part of your life will be a relief. Lean on your best friend, romantic partner, or workmate during the final weeks of the month. Their loyalty will renew your faith humanity.

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this month:

After a productive but demanding period, you not only need a break. It’s time to pause and review who and what’s worth your efforts. You thrive on helping others. However, you’re not always comfortable about being on the receiving end, from money to others’ support, practical or affectionate. Finding a balance is November’s lesson. You’ll not only benefit, this brings you and others closer, in everything from relationships to joint plans, whatever their nature. While time-consuming, you’ll benefit from these insights for the rest of your life.

The opening days of the month can emphasise the need for fun, romance and adventure. The New Moon on the 4th could make you irritated about the lack of leisure in your life. Until you change your priorities, you’ll remain anxious and stressed. Mid-month is ideal for taking a break from work. If you can’t go away on vacation, you could enjoy a romantic interlude with the person who is close to your heart. Are you single? This would be a great time to post a profile on a dating site. On the 19th, the Lunar Eclipse will prompt you to leave an organisation or friendship that no longer reflects your values. Devoting more attention to health is strongly advised for the final week of November.

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this month:

Your only real challenge during November is being easy-going about so many decisions being in the hands of others. You don’t think of yourself as a control freak. However, having details from your daily routine to your priorities reorganised makes you uneasy. Soon, however, it’s clear you’re being drawn into activities and, in fact, the company of those who, otherwise, you’d never have encountered. Once that’s clear, you exchange those doubts for enthusiasm about the direction things are going and excitement about what’s next.

Family matters will inspire a big change on or around the 4th, due to a conflicted New Moon. Alter your approach to work so that you can spend more quality time with your nearest and dearest. If you’re looking for a place to live, you might have to alter your list of non-negotiable items to secure a good abode. The middle of the month finds you facing off with your best friend or romantic partner. Be honest when they ask for more than you can deliver. A Lunar Eclipse on the 19th could mark the end of a professional role, allowing you more time for romance and learning. If you’ve been contemplating a relaxing vacation, the final days of November would be good for planning one.

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this month:

Usually, you’re superb at keeping up with life’s duties and, equally, its pleasures. However, recent events have been overwhelming. Consequently, early November is about pausing to catch up with obligations and, even more, looking after yourself. While you’d benefit from a rejuvenating rest, it’s also about rethinking your goals. Take your time. Not only have circumstances changed, so have your objectives and needs, more than you realise. What you learn will shape the rest of the year and, in some cases, the years to come as well.

Traffic tie-ups and electronic breakdowns could wreak havoc in your life on the 4th, due to a tense New Moon. Rather than insisting on moving forward with plans, be flexible. Reschedule a trip or meeting. Use the unexpected free time in your schedule to catch up on your reading, enjoy a movie marathon or listen to relaxing music. The middle of November warns against overindulging in food and drink. Practicing moderation will boost your productivity, helping you attract a good work opportunity. On the 19th, the Lunar Eclipse could mark a shocking end to a legal matter. It may be necessary to change the way you do business because of this verdict. Working from home is a distinct possibility at the end of November.

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this month:

As the month of November begins, the Libra New Moon on 6 October, and its accompanying insights, will seem ages ago. Yet you’ll still be rethinking the personal priorities and links with others, that came to light then. Now, however, you’re inspired by new ways to deal with ongoing arrangements and, even more, potential changes. Ordinarily, you’d think things through, then act on plans, knowing it relieves tensions. Now, instead, aim to live one day at a time. While challenging initially, you’ll soon be glad you did.

Salary negotiations could be stressful at the start of November. The New Moon on the 4th will make it difficult to get the compensation you deserve. Instead of committing to a long-term contract, it might be best to sign on for a couple of months, then renegotiate the terms of the deal early next year. In mid-November, you’ll be tempted to spend money that you don’t have. Instead of shopping until you drop, it will be better to practice financial restraint. The Lunar Eclipse on the 19th puts strain on an intimate relationship. Maintaining separate bank accounts can put an end to intense squabbles about money. Shafts of sunlight appear during the final week of the month, when you’ll get an opportunity to study with a respected teacher.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this month:

While the Scorpio New Moon, on 4 November marks a sort of personal new year, you’re just ending a cycle that involved practical issues and tricky personal decisions. While challenging, you’ve gained valuable insights. What’s more, you’re benefitting from fiery Mars’s presence in Scorpio. This isn’t just about changes, but rethinking once-rewarding arrangements, often because of unexpected offers or timely breakthroughs, most as thrilling as they are unexpected. Your biggest challenge? Aiming higher than you think you can achieve. Stick with your goals. You won’t regret it.

Resist the temptation to undergo a radical makeover at the beginning of November. Although the New Moon on the 4th will make you yearn for a different look, you could be terrifically disappointed with the results. Wait until next month to alter your hairstyle, radically change your image or attitude, or revamp your wardrobe. In the middle of November, you might face off with a relative who makes great demand on your time and resources. The Lunar Eclipse on the 19th could mark the end of a close relationship that is no longer working for you. Regaining your freedom will allow you to pursue an intriguing job during the final week of the month. This position will offer lots of intellectual stimulation, travel and study.

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this month:

November is about decluttering your life, that is, ridding yourself of habits, activities and even goals that really need to become part of the past. While you’re aware of some, you haven’t realised others need to end. Yet you’re increasingly aware events, some unexpected, are becoming more promising by the way. Still, avoid fixed commitments. Wait for the pivotal Sagittarius eclipsed New Moon on 4 December, and its magical evens. Ideally, by then, you’ll be ready to allow destiny to organise your life and your future.

The New Moon on the 4th could push you into the background, despite a desire to command the spotlight. Attending to background tasks and administrative work is critical to your wellbeing. After forcing yourself to rest, it will be easier to take a diplomatic approach to a stressful work matter. Beware of talking more than you listen; you don’t want to disclose any confidential information to the wrong people. A Lunar Eclipse on the 19th demonstrates the need to take good care of your body. Replace sugar, fat and alcohol with lean protein, fresh produce and whole grains. Your improved diet will give you an attractive glow that’s impossible to resist at the end of November. Enjoy the adulation you’ll receive.

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this month:

No sign is better at facing up to, and finding ways around even seriously tricky obstacles. However, what’s arisen is like a puzzle, either you’re short of facts or somebody is being secretive. The solution? Take it slowly. Frustrating as this is, gradually insights will surface. These, in turn, trigger timely questions about your own plans and priorities. Helpful as these insights are now, don’t rush into decisions. As the events of the coming months unfold, they’ll become the foundation for life-changing decisions.

Working on a group project could be frustrating at the start of the month. The New Moon on the 4th could throw some technical glitches into a teleconference, making it difficult to see and hear instructions. Instead of trying to force the issue, agree to reconvene later in the week so everyone can easily communicate. The middle of November warns against engaging in retail therapy. If you want to fill an emotional void, pour your energy into realising a dream you’ve had since childhood. On the 19th, a Lunar Eclipse could cause you to abandon a creative project or romance that has been giving you trouble. Spend the final days of the month engaging in a sacred practice or studying a fascinating belief system.

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this month:

As you begin November, you’ll be aware you’re facing a range of obstacles. While most are minor, each will offer insights about some element of your life that needs to be rethought, if not change radically. While initially you’ll probably be annoyed by seemingly pointless distractions, gradually you’ll begin to recognise how much you’re learning from each. The challenge? The picture won’t be immediately clear, so you’ll need to be patient. Gradually, you’ll realise learning patience was the most important part of this lesson.

The New Moon on the 4th brings your attention to career matters. If an exciting opportunity falls through, don’t despair. A bigger and better job will arrive. Your job is to stay positive and imagine yourself doing the work you love. When you act as though you already have the job, it will become yours by mid-month. A Lunar Eclipse on the 19th brings an end to an upsetting family matter. Letting a relative take responsibility for their problems will allow you to focus on a cherished personal goal. During the final week of November, you’ll miss the company of your nearest and dearest. If you can’t meet in person, arrange a big online reunion. A spirited Zoom chat will make your spirits soar.

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this month:

You’re facing a remarkable month. It promises unexpected and exciting events and opportunities. Your biggest challenge? It’s saying yes when you’re aware others are struggling. Pause and think about this – the concept that if you ignore stunning opportunities, it would help others. The real challenges? Overcoming the guilt that’s often one of your biggest concerns. The other challenge? Putting yourself first. Those closest will be cheering you on, encouraging you to make the best of this remarkable period. Better yet, the stars say ‘go for it.

It may be necessary to cancel a trip or academic program near the 4th, due to a challenging New Moon. Instead of dwelling on your disappointment, fill your time with a writing or learning project that stimulates your intellect. Beware of making mountains out of molehills. Dwelling on disappointments and mistakes can drive opportunity from your door. The Lunar Eclipse on the 19th could deliver shocking news about someone you have always admired. Instead of idolising people, remember and embrace their humanity. The last week of the month is ideal for pursuing a career goal. Landing a great position that draws on your creativity will be a great use of the ambitious energy that swirls around you at the end of November.
