GrannyMoons Weekly Feast 6 June 2021

Sunflower bows her heavy head

Seed is ripe to spill.

Bees have done their work and now

Birds can feast their fill.

Nature nurtures folk and bird

Calls us to be kind,

Setting food aside for all,

As the days unwind.

Let us all remember to

Strew seed on window sill—

Feathered friends can use a hand

When the winds blow chill

Sharing is the way we grow

Closer to our good.

Peace is nurtured in the heart

When we share the food.

Heartwings says, “If you follow your heart you cannot lose your way.”

Light A Candle Today!

In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

June 7, 2021 – June 13, 2021

The second week of June begins with financial matters being the primary focus. You may need to renegotiate with lenders or revise credit card rates. Since renegotiate and revise begin with the prefix ‘re,’ these actions are Mercury Rx compliant.

During the middle of the week, we have the Solar Eclipse in Gemini. To read more about this solar eclipse read the New Moon Solar Eclipse blog to understand the confusion, low energy, and miscommunication you will be feeling.

On Friday, you can expect an increase in energy and vitality. Managing difficult situations will be a breeze when you tap into the dash of strength and dose of gumption the planets are dishing up. Sunday, be on guard of people taking advantage of your kindness and generosity.

Recommended Candles: Prosperity (Blessed Herbal), New Moon (Astro Magic), Energy and Will  (Blessed Herbal), Protection (Blessed Herbal), and Bitch Be Gone (Wicked Witch Mojo), Root – Success (Chakra Magic),  Solar Plexus – Confidence (Chakra Magic)

Here’s what you missed on CoventryCreations.com this week…

Make the Healing Shift with Chakra Magic

Life is better with happy chakras! Knowing this is why Patty and Jacki created the Chakra Magic line of candles, sprays, stickers, and now jewelry. Too often we repeat “OMG, something is wrong.” When you hear yourself saying that over again, it’s time for a chakra shift from miserable to happy.

This is the Moment to Claim your Eternal Truth

Welcome to June! May 29 – June 22 is Mercury Retrograde. Buckle your seatbelts and keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. We begin this month with Mercury Rx in his own sign of Gemini. You can expect the typical issues that occur during MRx may be amplified or Mercury Rx squared.

New Moon in Gemini June 10, 2021

The New Moon in Gemini on June 10, 2021, is nothing to play around with. This poor gal is aligned with a solar eclipse that is in conflict with Saturn and Mercury in retrograde. Storm Cestavani highly recommends we keep our nose clean and our head under the covers.

Llewellyn’s Spell A Day

Egg Spell for Release

JUNE 06, 2021 BY KATE FREULER

For this spell, you will need an egg and a permanent marker. Sit outside or in a window under the waning moon while holding the egg in your palm. Think about the things in your life that are holding you back from achieving your potential. This could be attachments to toxic people, bad habits, negative self-talk, or any other things that you’d like to be free of. As you contemplate these problems, write them down on the egg in small letters, covering the entire shell if you wish. Go into as much detail as you like, feeling the unwanted circumstances transfer from you into the egg. Visualize the yolk inside the egg as containing all the energy of the problems.

Go outdoors and dig a small hole in the ground. Crack the egg and bury the yolk in the hole. Walk away, knowing you’ve left your problems behind. Compost or dispose of the shells.

Healing the Earth

JUNE 05, 2021 BY ELIZABETH BARRETTE

Today is World Environment Day. Work some magic to heal the earth. Druids considered oak to be a sacred tree, so plant an oak today. In the eastern United States, choose red or white oak. In the mountains, scrub oak grows. In the South and on the West Coast, pick live oak. In the North, bur oak thrives. For marshy areas, try swamp white oak. For dry, sandy soil, try scarlet oak.

Plant your oak in a sunny, open area. Dig a big hole and put in the sapling. Mix plenty of compost into the loose soil, then pack it around the roots. Top with a layer of mulch, preferably composted oak leaves. Then say:

Tree of life, I give life to you so that

you may give life to the forest.

Water the sapling thoroughly. Then say:

Water of life, may you

give life to the oak.

A Diverse Magical Community

JUNE 04, 2021 BY DALLAS JENNIFER COBB

Throughout Canada, Australia, and the United States, June is celebrated as Pride Month, honoring members of the LBGTQ2 communities and recognizing the Stonewall rebellion of 1969, which resulted in recognition of gay rights under the law in the US.

Today, do a small diversity spell, drawing in the spirit element, building pride and acceptance in your community, and affirming your diverse magical community.

Gather seven small items, each of a different color, thinking of seven people in your community of different ages, genders, ethnicities, cultures, orientations, and occupations.

Place these totems on your altar, circled around a candle of any color. As you safely light the candle, whisper:

Every one of you is welcome,

different, unique, and bright.

Every one of you is perfect,

different, unique, and right.

Come together in diversity.

Come together including me.

Come together that we can be

A diverse magical community.

So mote it be.

Be sure to extinguish the candle.

Anointing Oil for Tools

JUNE 03, 2021 BY ESTHA MCNEVIN

It’s that time of year when our garden tools get dusted off and put back to work. This repair oil is a good way to keep wooden handles smooth and able to endure the harsh and muddy conditions of the garden. Combine the following oils in a glass bottle with a fitted screw cap:

* 1 cup liquid coconut oil

* 8 drops frankincense essential oil

* 2 drops orange essential oil

* 3 drops holy basil essential oil

* 3 drops ylang-ylang essential oil

* 3 tablespoons liquid calendula essential oil

* 3 tablespoons jojoba essential oil

Begin by cleaning the tools very well with a solution of soapy water and vinegar. Dry them thoroughly to avoid any cracks or warped results later. Begin massaging the repair oil from the base to the tip, and do your best to think fertile and virile thoughts, as well as focused prayers to our Mother Earth. When done, store the tools for the next use and enjoy another season of splinter-free gardening.

Open Communication

JUNE 02, 2021 BY EMBER GRANT

To clear the way for open communication in any setting, try this spell. Light a yellow candle and, if you have one, place a double terminated clear quartz point in front of the candle. Visualize the parties involved being open with each other and information flowing freely and easily between everyone. Imagine the crystal conducting the communication back and forth through each point. Chant:

Clear the way, let all be heard.

Open the way for every word.

Allow the candle to burn out safely. Carry the crystal with you anytime you’re with the people in the group for which the spell is intended.

Out with the Bad, In with the Good

JUNE 01, 2021 BY MICHAEL FURIE

To cleanse yourself and your home of any bad vibes and then charge up the area with beneficial energy, burn an incense composed of equal parts frankincense and myrrh, with a pinch of dried orange peel for added energy. With an incense charcoal and a heatproof censer, and moving in a clockwise motion, travel from room to room in your home with the incense, using the smoke to cleanse the space while repeating the following:

Spirits purified, auras cleansed,

from this moment the misfortune ends.

Any harm sent this way shall

lose its power by light of day.

Once you have treated each room, extinguish the incense and take a shower to rid yourself of any residual bad vibes.

A Light for Those We’ve Lost

MAY 31, 2021 BY DEVIN HUNTER

It’s Memorial Day here in the US, and that means it’s time to remember those we have lost as a result of active military service. No matter where you live, chances are someone you know has experienced loss due to war or combat, so here is a little spell to guide the lost back home.

Light a red candle in the north and recite these words:

Lost to the living but not from

our hearts, I light this flame

to guide all your parts.

Have peace in mind and no

longer worry; peace in soul,

rest, there’s no hurry.

Your war is over, no battles to win,

by this candle the veil is thin.

Come home, soldier, if you’ve

been lost, you’ve fought all

you can and paid the cost.

Allow the candle to safely burn out on its own.

Heartwings Love Notes 985 The Strange Nature of Time

Heartwings says, “Time can rule you only if you let it.”

Depending on your point of view, there are at least two ways to look at time. Some regard it as a precious commodity to be hoarded and doled out carefully. These people squeeze all they can into whatever time they have and specialize in efficiency. Others see it as a nuisance, something to be disregarded. These people are usually late to appointments, as well as to my house for dinner. They often find it difficult to live with the time constraints of deadlines. However, these can also be helpful, for they may be seen either as a stimulant or as a burden.

The oddest experience I have of time is its seeming ability to act in unpredictable ways. For instance, I once experienced the passage of an hour that felt like several. I was playing music with a friend during our lunch hour. I’ve never forgotten how astonished I felt when I looked at the clock and saw that only an hour had passed, although it had felt far longer. Then there is waiting in the doctor’s office when fifteen minutes seems forever. At times I have marveled at the fast passage of the moments between when I get up and when I finish breakfast. Too, the hour or so between when I close my computer and when I get into bed passes in a flash.

Where does the time go? A child I met at ten is now celebrating his fiftieth birthday! People in their thirties are the age of my grandchildren Where did the forty-one years that Stephen and I have been married disappear to? Sometimes I feel frustrated that I cannot hold back time. Yet I well remember being a child waiting for some holiday or special occasion and being so impatient for when the anticipated event would occur. How the days dragged. These days I find I must be mindful of the passage of time. When I am not counting the moments until I am to leave for an appointment or meet a deadline, I am often caught unaware. If I do not pay attention to the passage of time, deadlines may loom and come to pass far too swiftly

My daughter Diana once explained to me why our past years seem to telescope and shorten. She pointed out that when you are five, a year is one-fifth of your experience. When you are fifty, it is one-fiftieth, and those years are packed with all we have accomplished. I clearly remember waking up of a summer morning at six or seven years of age and contemplating the day that stretched out so invitingly ahead. Now when I awaken, I wonder if I will be able to get everything I need to do done. No wonder the years seem to accelerate as we age. Still, this does not explain to me why, even now, when I am waiting for something to happen, time seems to drag so, as it always has ever since I was a child wishing the days would pass more quickly until Christmas Eve.

May your time for whatever you may wish to do be plentiful.

Blessings and Best Regards, Tasha Halpert

Do you experience time this way? How is it for you? I so enjoy your emails and whatever you have to share. Please write to me at tashahal@gmail.com, and do check out my web pages at www.heartwingsandfriends.com.

Good Thoughts For The Day

In the morning, send yourself love for the entire day and be sure to collect that love along the way

When things go wrong, it is easy to get into a bad mood, and that bad mood has a way of spiraling out and affecting our life for days to come. In the same way, when we feel badly about ourselves, we tend to act in ways that have repercussions, again creating a negative vibe that can negatively influence the next several days. While it is important that we allow ourselves to feel what we feel, and to be genuine, we do not have to completely surrender to a dark mood or feelings of self-doubt. In fact, the more we simply allow and accept our darkness as one part of the picture, the more easily we can also allow and accept our light. In this vein, we can temper our grey moods with an injection of sunshine in the form of sending good wishes to ourselves for the next 24 hours.

If you feel a bad mood coming on or find yourself plagued with negative feelings, take a moment to acknowledge that. At the same time, recognize that things can and will change, and that you can still have a good day, or a good week, especially if you take the time to visualize that for yourself. This is a great way to support yourself when you are working through tough times and hard feelings. When you visualize good things for yourself, you are sending yourself love and warmth, as well as encouraging yourself to keep going.

Before you even get out of bed in the morning, you can take the time to send good wishes to yourself all the way through to the next morning. As you picture your day, take the time to fill in the details — where you are going, who you will see, what you will do — and send love and good wishes ahead to yourself, as well as everyone you encounter. It will be like arriving in a new place and finding that an old friend has sent a bouquet of flowers from back home to welcome you and remind you that you are loved.

Kindness

Kindness expands the light within us and reaches out to touch the light in others as well

Kindness is an ideal that is easily accessible to all of us. We all know that a small kindness can make our journeys lighter and more enjoyable. Even bringing an instance of kindness to mind can put a smile on your face days or weeks later or perhaps even inspire you to share kindness with another. Though it may seem simple to the point of insignificance, many cultures throughout the world and history have recognized kindness as a powerful virtue. It may be the simplest way to experience and share all the grandest ideals of humanity. We can make the choice to act from the best place within ourselves at any time, while simultaneously recognizing the highest potential in another with the smallest of acts, nourishing the seed of hope in each soul we encounter.

In a way, kindness acts as the oil that makes the engine of our world move more smoothly and with less friction. We can still get where we are going but the ride is more pleasant, and those around us can share in the ideal world that we help to create. We are all fortunate that kindness is limitless in its supply and available to everyone. When we act in ways that confirm our ideals, we make the ideal our reality. Then, instead of affirming the experience of struggle and competition, we can shift our experience to the reality of ease and pleasurable camaraderie with the fellow citizens of the world.

Whether giving way to someone in traffic or letting someone go ahead of us in line, donating money or sharing our resources in a crisis, we actively create a universe of kindness and giving with every choice we make. The smallest gesture can bring a smile to light the shadow of an unpleasant situation or remove tension from a difficult task, but it’s effects can echo and extend far beyond the moment. We can be sure that we will receive a kindness in return, but giving is its own reward. Kindness expands the light within us and reaches out to touch the light in others as well, giving us all a glimpse of the glow that has the power to enlighten our world.

Gilberto Rides Again

by Stephen Halpert

Chapter 4

After lunch with Maria, Gilberto went to work. He avoided his usual chit-chat with the front desk security personnel and went straight to his office. Despite his time with Maria and her reassurance he’d get through this cancer procedure unscathed, since hearing the diagnosis he remained shaky.

At his desk, he tried losing himself in his work. Atlas was engineering a hostile takeover of a shoelace manufacturer in South Carolina that had sustained since before the Civil War. Sadly, this acquisition would not occur peacefully. Stockholders in South Carolina wanted to keep their shoelace empire to themselves, free of Yankee interference. Suddenly his office door opened.

Ramon strode in, closed the door, and pulled his chair closer to Gilberto’s desk. He seemed nervous, concerned, not his usual laid-back, jovial self. “We must talk,” he said.

Gilberto wondered if despite her promise of confidentiality Maria had shared Gilberto’s cancer diagnosis with Rosa who would have immediately told Ramon.

Gilberto nodded, listened quietly.

Abruptly Ramon stood, pounded his fist into his palm, began pacing. When he stopped, he looked pleadingly at Gilberto. “Help me, I’ve fallen for this woman,” he said in a weak voice.

Gilberto nodded; he felt relieved that this exchange wasn’t about him. He was curious however what was going on between Ramon and Rosa.

“You must promise,” Ramon said earnestly, “utmost secrecy.”

Gilberto nodded. “Tell me.”

“She’s so overwhelming, a fast-paced New Yorker who cuts through the bacon and gets whatever she wants.”

Gilberto smiled, remembering the young Ramon, constantly sought after by smitten young women dazzled by his soccer prowess.

Ramon gulped. “I didn’t expect this.”

Gilberto nodded. “Lust can come on totally unexpected. Who with?”

“Sara Midgley.” he whispered.

Gilberto’s eyes widened. “The new Board member?” Gilberto remembered seeing her at a meeting. To him she seemed bulky, maternal, the total opposite of the energetic Rosa.

Ramon nodded. “She heads up Atlas’ Merger and Acquisition Division. We met at the regional conference in Newport.”

Gilberto smiled. “And you charmed her…”

Ramon snorted. “She charmed me. We spent that first evening drinking Champagne, discussing Atlas’ growth potential.”

Gilberto nodded.

Ramon frowned. “Then one thing led to another.”

Gilberto smiled at him. “As it usually does with you.”

Ramon’s eyebrows rose and he sighed. “How could I resist her. I always fell for redheads.”

Gilberto smiled. “That’s true. I remember how they flirted with you at the Soccer matches.”

Ramon smiled. “But not like this. She told me her life story. Her deceased husband sailed with Cousteau. Six years ago he was swept overboard in the South China Sea, his body was never recovered. She’s been to law school and had a position at a brokerage house on Wall Street before joining Atlas.” He sighed again. “I thought it was the Champagne.”

Gilberto nodded. He couldn’t help but smile. Same old Ramon, innocent to the point of absurdity. “How long?”

Ramon shrugged. “Since that weekend we’ve texted and phone chatted a lot. Now she wants me to meet her in her car. Sher tells me my charisma drives her wild.”

Gilberto grinned. “So as long as you can get away with it what’s the problem?”

Ramon’s shoulders hunched. He seemed to shrink into himself. “Now she’s insisting on meeting Rosa. Says she wants to check out her competition. Wants to meet Rosa at the Atlas 4th of July picnic. I just assumed she’d be discrete, and we’d have had a little fun, but now this.” His brow furrowed.

Gilberto felt for his friend and his dilemma. He also understood how this could happen. Rosa and Ramon had been married for close to twenty years. “And?”

“She doesn’t know Rosa. Rosa told me once that if she ever caught me with another woman…”

Gilberto shrugged. “Wasn’t that said back in the day?”

“Please, Gilberto, I know Rosa. We might not be so hot and heavy but that doesn’t mean she’s any less possessive.”

Gilberto sighed. “You always liked living dangerously.”

Ramon frowned. “I didn’t expect this! One minute we’re looking at sales figures and talking about a shoelace acquisition, and the next…” He went to the window. “She called it chemistry, threw her arms around me pressed me against her; pulling me into her.”

Gilberto grinned. “You’ve still got it.”

“She told me I was the most exciting man she’d ever met. Wants me to run off to Paris for a weekend with her; be together in some enchanted evening where it never turns into the next day.”

Gilberto grinned again. “Nothing wrong with any of that. ” He paused and frowned. “What will you do? You know this is against Atlas policy.”

Ramon looked terribly pained. “She insists on confronting Rosa.” Then quickly added. “But I want you and Maria there. We all meet and then maybe Rosa won’t murder me.” He rubbed his forehead.

That raised Gilberto’s eyebrows. “You think?”

He lowered his voice. You’ve seen Rosa when she goes to war. I prefer avoiding confrontations. But Rosa’s like Napoleon.”

Gilberto nodded and consulted his calendar. “Joey has a soccer game that Saturday but the picnic’s Sunday. We’ll be there.”

Thank you,” Ramon said. “I don’t want to lose Rosa,” his voice was softer than fairy dust. “Maybe if it rains, I’ll get a reprieve.”

Gilberto smiled.

“Sara says I’ve awakened something in her, says I make her feel young again. Gilberto, she’s overwhelming. Big full body, deep soft blue eyes, thick red hair, Irish freckles all over her nose and cheeks.”

Gilberto sighed. “Maybe you’ve nothing to worry about. Maybe Sara just wants to meet Rosa, casual curiosity. I doubt it but…Or don’t you want her to?”

Ramon frowned. “I’d just as soon she didn’t. I play it careful. I always have.”

Gilberto nodded. “Before, when we played soccer, you kept your affairs a secret. None of us ever knew who you’ve be with or for how long. Maybe if you could pull it off, you’d like two wives.”

Ramon smiled. “Rosa changed all that. She took charge of everything; all I had to do was take off my shoes.”

Gilberto smiled. “And that’s what you did with Sara, just took off your shoes….”

“I guess,” Ramon smiled. “I like simplicity.” Then he sighed. “But her

attention is flattering.”

Kitty Kat’s Korner

Choosing a Pet Cat Breed

Bengals. Bengals are a good-looking, playful, and intelligent cat, making it great for families. This breed is very active, and will need more attention than others. Bengals enjoy climbing and some even like going for walks. The coat pattern for Bengals can change: some have spotted coats while others have long stripes.

Ragdolls. These cats are large, laid-back, semi-long haired cats with captivating blue eyes. The Ragdoll is a pointed breed, which means that the body is lighter in color than the “points” (the face, legs, tail and ears), giving it a very distinct and striking appearance. Ragdolls tend to be more interested in humans than some other breeds of cats. They are known to run to greet you at the door, follow you from room to room, flop on you, sleep with you, and generally choose to be where you are.

Abyssinians. Abyssinian cats are trainable and can become very loyal to you. These cats are very curious and agenda driven. Abyssinians love affection, so they’ll do best in a home they have people to spend time with them. Abyssinian cats have beautiful blue, black, golden, or silver colored coats.

Ragamuffins. This breed will always cling to you for affection. Ragamuffins are calm and people-loving, making them particularly charming and adorable. Their friendly personalities help them quickly get along with children. Ragamuffins are known for their adorably large, expressive eyes.

American bobtails. American bobtails are recognizable from their muscular appearance and small tail. They thrive when they can bond closely with humans, so staying close to your American bobtail will keep it happy. These cats are playful and friendly with children and dogs. The American bobtail has a unique coat that mixes stripes and box-like spots, making them look similar to either leopards or tigers.

Chartreux. Chartreux cats stand out for their soft blue and silver-grey fur. These cats are quiet and make gentle chirping noises once their food bowl runs empty or they want attention. Despite their quiet personalities, Chartreux are large and muscular. Their short-hair coats are water-resistant and slightly thick in texture.

What to Know Before Getting a Cat

Personal commitment. Before you consider breed options, remember cats are creatures that need your care and devotion. Be prepared for long-term dedication to your pet cat.

Age. If you’re thinking of adopting a kitten, be prepared to spend lots of time with them and train them to use a litter box. If you’re considering an older cat, it may already be litter box trained but will still need time to familiarize itself with your home. Older cats may also be shy or skittish around unfamiliar people if they weren’t treated well in an earlier home.

Vet visits. Cats need routine vaccinations and parasite prevention treatments (like topical flea ointments). Outdoor cats are exposed to a lot of fleas and diseases. Even so, both outdoor and indoor cats are prone to heartworm infections. Be sure to bring your cat to a veterinarian routinely so they can help you with preventative care.

Diet. Cats can be picky when it comes to their food, so when you find something your cat likes, try to stick with it. Cats need food with lots of protein and vitamins, and low amounts of carbohydrates. Kittens will need specialized food with extra vitamins and nutrients to help them grow.

Training. While they’re little and when they’re new to your home, pet cats need a fair amount of training. They’ll need to learn how and where to use the litter box, and if there are any objects they shouldn’t climb on or scratch.

Taking into account the amount of attention and space you can offer, as well as if you want a short or long-haired cat, will make sure you and your new cat enjoy each other’s company. However, remember that the extra cuteness can sometimes come with extra grooming and attention demands.

This cool, refreshing soup captures the essence of summer. The addition of the jalapeños adds a surprising spark. Serve this soup with a cool entrée or as a pleasant dessert.

Food as Medicine

Like all fruit, melons help protect vision. Studies have shown that eating at least three servings of fruit – such as the cantaloupe and watermelon in this recipe – per day may lower your risk of age-related macular degeneration by over 35 percent. Cantaloupe and watermelon are also heart-healthy, thanks to their high concentrations of the vital antioxidants, vitamins A and C. Consumption of vitamin C-rich foods – one cup of cantaloupe has 112 percent of the Daily Value and one cup of watermelon has 24 percent – is associated with a decreased risk of death from all causes, including heart disease and stroke. Along with vitamin C, vitamin A helps prevent free radicals from oxidizing cholesterol in the bloodstream, where it can lead to heart attack or stroke. Watermelon is also high in the amino acid citrulline, a precursor for another amino acid, arginine. Arginine helps to produce nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.

Ingredients

4 cups ripe cantaloupe, cut in 1-inch pieces (about 1 large melon, rind and seeds removed)

4 cups watermelon, cut in 1-inch pieces (rind and seeds removed)

Juice of 1 fresh lemon

1-2 teaspoons honey, liquefied (20 seconds in microwave)

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 fresh jalapeño peppers, seeded and finely minced

1/2 cup fresh blueberries

mint (optional)

Instructions

Purée the cantaloupe and watermelon together in a food processor or blender.

Add the lemon juice, honey, salt and jalapeños to taste.

Chill for up to 4 hours.

Garnish with fresh blueberries or mint and serve.

* 3 drops ylang-ylang essential oil

All Signs

Mars is an energy planet. It visits one sign for seven weeks every two years. According to the sign it is in, it will be in a different part of your chart and affect you in different ways. (There will be a pop quiz on this next Tuesday.) This week Mars moves into Leo, which is exciting news! It’s summer, and in most areas, Covid restrictions are relaxing. This means we want to party! We want to barbecue! We want to enjoy sports, social outings, the arts and fun times with kids. (The freedom is dizzying!) Think haircuts, manipeds and restaurant patio dinners with a real server. Hot air balloons! Close dancing! Oh yeah! Put on your pants and brush the back of your hair. “Table for six?”

Aries (March 21-April 19)

There are three Fire signs and you are one of them. This week Mars moves one of those Fire signs. (They are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.) When Mars is in one of them, it supports you like the third leg of a three-legged stool. Since Mars is an energy planet, this means for the next seven weeks, your energy will be high! Your self-confidence will be strong. You will be more effective and more competent in everything you do. Because this Fire sign is Leo, it means a very playful part of your chart is energized! Romance will blossom! Your interest in sports (especially competitive) will be strong. You will do exactly what you want to do.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

When Mars changes signs this week, it means your home, family and private life will be energized. At a glance, this looks good. It means you have more determination to deal with your domestic world. But this increased energy will also create chaos and confusion at home. Visiting guests, renovations, residential moves will be a challenge! In fact, these challenges by extension, could create tension within the family, especially with a parent. Domestic strife is classic when Mars is in this part of your chart. The thing to keep in mind is that this is a short-term. In about seven weeks, Mars will move on to energize the most playful, fun-loving part of your chart. Until then — patience.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

The Sun is still in your sign with Mercury retrograde, which lasts until June 22. This is why you are misplacing things and making goofy mistakes! (However, if you’re buying a Mercury-related item like a computer, car or cell phone, wait until the shadow of Mercury retrograde is gone, which is July 8.) Meanwhile, this week fiery Mars moves into the part of your chart that deals with your daily activities and your style of communicating to others. This means that for the next two months, the pace of your days will accelerate and you will be much more forthright and proactive when talking to others. In other words, you will say what you mean and mean what you say!

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This continues to be a time when you’re happy to hide in the wings. Nevertheless, Venus in your sign will encourage you to socialize with others. And why not? Venus makes you charming and diplomatic! (Kiss, kiss, hug, hug.) New flash: This week is a lovely time to shop for wardrobe goodies for yourself. A summer dress? Strappy sandals? Cargo shorts? This week is also when fiery Mars moves into your Money House encouraging you to work hard to make money; and at the same time, spend money! In particular, you will be happy to use your possessions to get something done. Of course! (The reverse is such a waste.)

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Things are certainly looking up for your sign because this week, fiery Mars is moving into Leo! (The last time it was in Leo was in July-August 2019.) When Mars is in your sign, it denotes great activity in your life. It promotes your desire to work hard and further your own interests. It also gives you the energy to work hard to follow through on your desires. It makes you much more of a fighter for your own rights than usual, as well as the rights of others. Your physical energy will be high and you will accomplish a great deal. The only downside is you might come on too strong for others. If you see the hair blowing back over their ears – that’s a sign. Be nice to the little people.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You continue to make a fabulous impression on others because the Sun is at the top of your chart casting you in a flattering spotlight. Meanwhile Venus encourages warm bonding with friends and groups. Everyone loves you! This week, Mars moves into a hidden part of your chart, which is tricky. Someone out there might not have your best interests at heart. (This might or might not happen.) But it is a warning. So, if you think something fishy is going on – it is! Meanwhile, in this hidden position, Mars can easily make you give others the wrong impression, which undermines your position. (“Did I just say that?”) Therefore, be mindful of everything you say and do. Use your personal editor.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Things are going swimmingly because your ruler Venus is at the top of your chart making you look fabulous to everyone. People will seek your advice about artistic matters or how to make something look better. Romance with a boss or someone in authority might occur. Meanwhile, you’re excited about travel or the possibility of doing something “different.” Do note that fiery Mars is entering your House of Friendships this week to stay for seven weeks, which encourages physical activities with friends, especially athletics, and it makes you competitive. You will refuse to take a backseat position. You will also resent group pressure. Coordinate your needs with the needs of others for a win-win solution.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You have a growing desire to travel and explore new places, new ideas and learn new things. You will also have an excellent opportunity to wrap up old business with insurance issues, taxes, inheritances and shared property. This week, fiery Mars moves to the very top of your chart, which will definitely arouse your ambition. It will stay there for the next seven weeks, which will make you identify with whatever project you’re doing, which in turn, is why you will work extremely hard to get it done! The only downside is that conflict with coworkers might arise because they feel threatened by your hard work and energy. (You also might be a tad bossy.) “Moi?” “Yes, you.”

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Like Aries and the principle of a three-legged stool, you benefit by Mars moving into your fellow Fire sign this week. Mars is an energy planet and it will give you more support in everything that you do, especially if it requires physical energy. This is why you will enjoy increased self-confidence; enthusiasm and feel more competent and more effective. You will be clear about your intentions and know exactly what course you want to follow. Mars will also boost your sex drive! (Well, Mars boosts everything.) As the traveller of the zodiac, you’ll be delighted to hear that Mars will spur your desire to travel and explore the world. Oh yes, you want it all – first-class.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You like efficiency and production, which is why you’re happy to work hard. However, you are frustrated by the delays, confused communications, missed appointments, late deliveries and minor moments of mayhem in your job due to Mercury retrograde. Please remember: Mercury retrograde will help you finish old business, so, you can use this to your advantage! Venus opposite your sign beautifully promotes warm relations with those closest to you. This week, Mars moves into one of your Money Houses indicating potential disputes about inheritances, shared property, taxes, debt and insurance issues. Arrg. These will be ego conflicts. Be smart. Think of your long-term objective.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This week is lighthearted and playful! You will enjoy social outings and fun activities with children. Old flames from the past might be in touch. Accept all invitations to have a good time because this is totally appropriate. Relations with coworkers are warm, which is rewarding. However, this week, fiery Mars moves opposite your sign where it will stay for several weeks making relations with those who are closest to you contentious. Disputes with partners and close friends might arise. Basically, these are probably power struggles. The upside is you now have the courage to speak up for yourself and tell your truth. That’s important!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Home, family and your private life continue to be important. Mercury retrograde will recycle past issues that you dealt with at home. “Not this, again!” On the upside, Mercury retrograde will help you finish home projects. Meanwhile, lucky Jupiter and fair Venus want you to party! Both these planets will also promote new love, and enhance existing partnerships. In the midst of this encouraging news, this week, fiery Mars moves into the part of your chart concerning your job, your health and your pet. This means you will work efficiently with perseverance at whatever task you’re doing. Your health will also be invigorated. (A pet might require your attention.) And so it is.

Aries

Personal theme: I am!!

Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Accepting whatever destiny sends your way may be out of character. However, sudden and unsettling as events are, they’re breaking up old and restrictive patterns. If you feel you must battle changes, discuss them with those you trust and explore their impact. Once you learn more, you won’t just decide they’re a good idea, within a short while, you’ll recognise them as they breakthroughs they are.

You’re being paid a fair price for work you are doing so throwing in an extra few hour for free could be a wise move. People who can put future business your way will remember your helpfulness and word will spread of your good work. In a close relationship, someone will say one thing but you might get the distinct impression they mean something very different. Encourage them to be more open about their feelings.

Thursday’s New Moon is also a Solar Eclipse and signals the promise of new beginnings. Yet this start could be a bumpy one as Mercury is retrograde. As importantly, the two planets, Saturn and Uranus, are headed toward right angle. This too represents a fork in the road. Think of it this way: you are making good progress on a journey but hit a traffic jam forcing you to consider alternative routes – the first of which quickly becomes blocked. You might decide to wait it out and let the traffic clear (unlikely for an Aries) but would give opportunity to think about the reason for the journey and your chosen destination. It may be that there are calls you want to make whilst you are ‘stuck’ so that others are clear as to what you want to achieve. In particular, and noting that Venus is now moving across the base of your solar chart, you might want to collaborate about general working conditions and the space and style you prefer to work in.

Taurus

Personal theme: I have!!

Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

The ideas or offers coming your way may be thrilling, but they’re lacking the variety of detail you need before committing. Or so it seems. Overcome your caution and listen to those who encourage you to at least learn more. True, these are taking you into new territory. However, that’s the point. It’s time you left certain once-rewarding arrangements behind and embraced the future.

Talks with friends or fellow workers could lead to an unusual and unexpected piece of news being brought to your attention. Someone might let out a secret without realising. Be sure not to let them know you have noticed. If you’re nervous about a meeting or appointment, the more you think about it, the worse it will get. Providing you have prepared well, try to put it out of your mind until closer to the time.

Thursday’s Solar Eclipse is in neighbouring Gemini. This special New Moon suggests a fresh start: particularly in with regard to financial matters. Yet Mercury is retrograde in this area and it may be that you don’t yet have all the facts at your disposal. You may still be in the process of agreeing to move to new platform and new ways of working. Note too, that at the end of this week, Uranus (travelling through your sign) appears at exact right-angled to Saturn. This represents a fork in the road. You may decide that you can no longer work with certain individuals and that you really do need to do your own thing even if separation is tricky. There is also the question of how best to fund the next stage of your life journey. You likely won’t be the only sign giving careful thought to destination and how to process information. In your case, it’s probable that you’re driven by a need to re-evaluate – much as you may have done back in 2002.

Gemini

Personal theme: I think!!

Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Philosophers say to live one day at a time. That’s the ideal approach the shakeups triggered by Gemini eclipsed New Moon, on Thursday the 10th. Some will be a relief, others puzzling and, possibly, a few worrying. Respond, making necessary changes but, also, being aware you’ve lots to learn. Over the coming days, weeks and months, things will come together, often in completely unexpected ways.

People are impressed by your ideas and they will want to hear more. Discussing your thoughts will make them feel more realistic. This will make you inclined to act on them. Friends who aren’t used to you being so practical will be staggered to see you carrying out your intentions without delay. The best way to get through the days is to bend with the wind. Some time spent away from regular haunts and familiar places might also be a god idea.

Thursday’s Solar Eclipse is in your sign. This is a very special kind of New Moon. The last one of similar type was in 2002. Yet the cosmos doesn’t do exact repeats, so there’s no point in thinking that you have the same experiences as you did then. There may however be similarities even if your outlook is significantly altered. This time, with Mercury retrograde (also in your sign), you might wish to embark on a complete rethink, re-evaluation prior to re-emerging with new agenda. For some this could be about new methods of transport or determining new routes. Another, and strong possibility, is uncovering another revenue stream: at least recognising that one is coming to its conclusion and that plans need to be made for moving forward. With Jupiter still moving over the apex of your solar chart, opportunities should flow thick and fast but at advisable that you at least listen to the cautious advice of those born under either Cancer or Capricorn.

Cancer

Personal theme: I feel!!

Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

When fiery Mars moved into Cancer on 23 April, you began a cycle of questioning and exploration. While you’ve already altered elements of your life and future plans, you’re questioning others. This week’s events clarify what’s involved, the actual changes involved and, equally, the benefits. Also, with many, it’s now or never. Still in doubt? Think whether, in six months’ time, you’ll wish you’d proceeded.

Be glad of the help other people are willing to offer. Jobs will get done far more quickly when a number of you join forces. You have always been intuitive and you have no trouble understanding other people, even a quiet colleague. They may not say a lot but what they do say gives you plenty to think about. Family talks will centre on future plans and the exciting possibility of you doing some travelling soon.

Thursday’s New Moon is also a Solar Eclipse and offers a fresh start. With Venus now moving through your sign, the desire to put on a new face (perhaps quite literally with new make-up, new styles etc, etc. Yet Mercury is still retrograde and it will surely take a few days yet to arrive at a style you like. More importantly, the two planets Saturn in Uranus arrive at right-angles next weekend. Though they made this aspect once before back in February, now it seems they mean business: you may be challenged to rethink which groups and associations you want to belong to. What is now convenient and rewarding? No doubt much of your thinking has significantly altered and you now need to align differently. Take your time: Mercury doesn’t turn direct until the end of the month. Whilst the urge to do something new could be so strong. taking time to consider options would surely be wise.

Leo

Personal theme: I will!!

Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Recently you committed to a range of changes, some minor but others dramatic. Now you’re questioning several of them. Tempting as it is to back out, be patient, possibly in a way that doesn’t come naturally to you. By mid-June even seemingly tricky arrangements will begin coming together, often in ways as thrilling as they are unexpected. The secret? Focus on exploration. Decisions can wait.

No one is indispensable. You are thinking about ending a long-term commitment. If you’re bored with this or if there are other things you would rather do, don’t feel as if people can’t do without you. There will always be someone who can step into your place. A nice financial surprise will give you a little extra money to play with later in the week. Someone who is feeling under the weather will appreciate a gift of flowers. It will mean a lot to them to know you are thinking of them.

By next weekend, Mars will have arrived in your sign: kick-starting the desire to relate differently. Clearly, this will affect every area of your life: business partnerships to romantic liaisons. That this transit comes so soon after a Solar Eclipse (a special kind of New Moon) on Thursday, suggests you’ll be ready to do things differently. More importantly, Saturn and Uranus arrive at right-angles. This is may be thought of as a roadblock or ‘line in the sand’. With Mercury retrograde, it might suit you to demand that others think about the energy they are putting into your partnership. It could be that it’s been lopsided. A frank exchange of views will likely be necessary – and before Mercury turns direct on June 23. For now, and especially this week, you could do much to shore up your long-term position by determining what and who is of value to you. Think treasures.

Virgo

Personal theme: I analyse!!

Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

You’re frustratingly short of facts yet decisions are pressing. This is no surprise. Between the second of the current pair of eclipses taking place on the 11th and you ruler Mercury retrograde until the 22nd, twists and turns are inevitable. The secret? Accept this uncertainty, and regard both what you do now and decide as an adventure, one that’s fun now and will prove informative later.

You will soon get to see the light at the end of what has been a long and testing tunnel. A special achievement will feel good. Not only this, but it will bring you respect and recognition. This is your chance to apply for a new position or a promotion in your existing employment. Getting on with jobs you don’t often do will make life more interesting. There is no challenge in tasks you can usually do with your eyes closed.

this Thursday solar eclipse isn’t in your sign, it’s a new Moon highlighting the apex of your solar chart and promising alter direction with regard to your career, aims and objectives. The last time there was a similar Eclipse was back in 2002. What’s likely is that you now realise that there are opportunities and yes, you may feel you missed a couple. Recall Mercury is also retrograde. It’s rather easier to look back than to look forward. Yet the right angle between Saturn and your Ennis that takes place at the end of this week suggests many people will feel they’ve come to the end of one road. As they alter direction, new routes open up for you. It would be wise of course to take stock; but those of your sign excellent due diligence and you won’t move forward until you’re confident that all is well. In the meantime, try to control your worry volume. It’s probable that you are so oversensitive, and so apparently critical both of yourself and others, that you lose sight of potential opportunity. Don’t look for flaws, look instead for the bright lights that beckon but yes, they will be clearer at the end of the month.

Libra

Personal theme: I balance!!

Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Promising as plans you’ve organised over recent weeks have seemed; things aren’t proceeding as intended. Judging by the current unsettled planetary climate, that’s no surprise. The trick? Expect and, where possible, embrace those twists and turns; and, even more, explore everything. True, what’s taking place now is unsettling; but events are clearing the way for changes and long-term arrangements as exciting as they’ll be unexpected.

It will feel as if you’ve been locked in your home for so long that you just want to get out. You have the chance now to take the next small step towards freedom. A visit to the countryside where you can breathe in the fresh air will feel therapeutic. A text message or e-mail will leave you a little bemused. Something you hear will not make a lot of sense but be patient. You will understand what someone was driving at by the end of the week.

Although this week’s Solar Eclipse isn’t in your sign, you should nevertheless experience winds of change. True, Mercury is retrograde in that same sign Gemini, (another of the Air signs). You could be awash with ideas: some of these mooted toward the end of 2020. Indeed, much of what happens this week could hark back to that earlier time. Expect renewed contact with those who live and work overseas. Though you may not be able to implement some of their plans or ideas (again thanks to restrictions), it could be what’s needed is an altered approach all round. Your contribution to dialogue could yet prove invaluable. Next weekend, Saturn and Uranus once again form right-angled to one another. This too represents change. Similar aspects were at work back to 1999 and 2007/8. This too heralds altered direction. What is different this time, is that you can build on that earlier experience. In fact, it could be argued that the only way forward is up.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus

Personal theme: I desire!!

Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Ordinarily when dealing with situations as challenging as those you’re currently facing, you’ll take a tough line. Now, however, certain individuals or, perhaps, your instincts are telling you to go with the flow. True, ordinarily, this would seem a compromise. However, within days events will prove how wise this choice was. Enough you may decide it’s time to review and, possibly, change other similar decisions.

There is a strong hint of some money coming your way. Your partner has some pleasing news that will add a touch of excitement to your relationship. The more open minded and flexible you are in, the easier you will find it to make the most of opportunities now around you. Life at home will take on a more positive tone as you get together with housemates to work on a domestic project. You feel a new sense of commitment in a close relationship.

Tt might help to know that the two planets, Saturn and Uranus, through 2021 are at virtual right-angled. These two planets represent on the one hand tradition, and, on the other, modern or ‘restriction versus freedom’. They are not often in a hard aspect. (Think back to 2007 and 1999 for the last occasions). Each time of course is different. What is unique this time is that Uranus (the rebellious one) is in your opposite sign. It’s highly likely, – and especially around this Thursday’s New Moon, that someone you thought you knew well will decide they want to go off on what appears to you to be a tangent. It may be important to you to try to get them to rethink. It is possible that this is a breath of fresh air that you to need to experience. You might even consider moving home or changing your place of work entirely. Mercury is still retrograde and there is indeed a lot of thinking and bargaining to do. All may not run smoothly until soon after the solstice when Mercury turns direct. This week may be a time for listening and accepting that change is inevitable – which may not be a bad thing.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Sagittarius

Personal theme: I see!!

Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Late May’s powerful and, often, unsettling Sagittarius eclipse triggered changes in existing arrangements and future plans, some welcome but as many unsettling. Now that you’ve had time to explore these, you’re more willing to give up control in situations you’d once regarded as your responsibility. The challenge? Being patient. Many of these changes will prove thrilling, but you’ll be short of details for some time yet.

Good news could relate to your job situation. Colleagues will look to you to lead the way which feels like a big responsibility. Even if this is the type of project you have never tackled before, you can do it. Ignore your initial apprehension. Besides, you have some great ideas. Although you’re in a rush to get everything done, there’s a harmonious atmosphere that makes everything feel surprisingly relaxed and easy going.

This Thursday’s Solar Eclipse is in your opposite sign. Mercury is already retrograde moving through Gemini and yes, it might seem that even those you thought you knew and trusted, are thinking back to the past and cautious about moving forward. On top of that, the two planets Saturn and Uranus are moving once again to right-angled position. This too represents an altered approach. Yet this might yet prove the perfect time for incubating a plan. You may not be able to implement it for some months yet, but could perhaps take the early steps towards pushing forward. At the very least, you could determine a goal. Note that next weekend, Mars will arrive in one of the Fire signs and that your energy levels should then rise. For now, dealing with emotions (uncomfortable as that may be), and accepting that certain individuals absolutely need to move on, might require you to dig deep into an archive and retrieve papers and documents long buried and confront deep emotions of your own.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Capricorn

Personal theme: I use!!

Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

For you, as a cautious Capricorn and an earth sign, planning ahead is like breathing. You don’t even realise you’re doing it. However, in the runup to the powerful clash between your ruler Saturn and inventive, if not rebellious, Uranus, on 14 June, things are unlikely to go as planned; and, better yet, what’s least expected could turn out best. For now? Wait, watch and learn.

You’re going out of your way to make someone special very happy. A long-standing relationship will be greatly enhanced by the loving aura surrounding your world. Your partner will do something so delightful and unexpected that you might find yourself falling in love with them all over again. In the weekend there will be as much enjoyment from the company around you as from the project you are all working on.

Although this week’s Solar Eclipse isn’t in your sign, you could nevertheless be affected by it. This particularly special New Moon draws attention to your working scene. There is high probability of someone deciding that it’s time that they moved on. Your ruling planet, Saturn arrives at right angles to Uranus next weekend, suggesting that this decision will affect you greatly. It might be worthwhile to think back to both 2007 and 1999. Whilst this isn’t a repeat of those earlier times, it is likely that you may remember challenges you faced during those years and the courage needed to move forward. Once again you may need to do the same. What may be decidedly different this time, is that a colleague whose work you are so familiar, may decide that this is the moment when they move on. It is always possible that you might decide that you should at least enter into conversation with a view to persuading them to stay.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Aquarius

Personal theme: I know!!

Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

A year or so ago, you decided that, one way or another, you’d escape certain dull or restrictive elements of your life. While, mostly, it’s proceeded better than you anticipated, a few situations seem impossibly fixed. Don’t give up. Achieving those objectives will take a while. However, the link between your ruler Uranus and practical Saturn, on the 14th, will bring things much closer to becoming reality.

You will have more success with a personal ambition if you are willing to take a few risks. The reason you have failed up until now is because you have been letting other more cautious souls stand in your way. Be more assertive. Why hold back if you can see where others are going wrong? If you know how improvements can be made, suggest making some changes. Be sensible with cash. Wait until you have received money you are expecting before you spend it.

Next weekend, and just two days after a Solar eclipse in another of the air signs, ruling planets Saturn in your Ennis arrive at right. They’ve done this before actually back in February and will do so again at the end of the year. It may be worthwhile thinking back to 2007 and prior to that 1999 when these two planets were in hard aspect to one another. This isn’t a repeat of those earlier times you may recognise that there was a decided shift in direction in those years. 2021 is unlikely to be an exception. Following on from Thursday special new Moon, you may be ready to reconnect with those you haven’t seen for a long time or with whom you had to part company for one reason or another. Recall that Mercury is also retrograde in one of the air signs. Things are unlikely to run smoothly and yet. Reconnecting, reaffirming that you want to work together should prove valuable. Note 2, that by the end of the month when Mercury turns direct, it could be that the other person has altered their position and that together, you are embracing yet another option that is both exciting and exhilarating.

Pisces

Personal theme: I believe!!

Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Every once in a while, you realise that you’ve allowed the needs or demands of others to take over. While this can occur when caring for family and, on occasion, friends, these situations are out of balance, but in ways you’re refusing to acknowledge are true. Once you do, however, you’ll soon have the support necessary to rethink arrangements, and in the process, regain your life.

Luck just doesn’t seem to be with you when it comes to handling financial and business matters. That said, you won’t give up trying. A friend who shares your liking for peace and quiet will join you later in the week. Their undemanding company will be welcomed rather than unwanted. For though you will choose and prefer to stay in the background, you won’t want to hide yourself away from the world altogether.

Thursday solar eclipse isn’t your sign, it is nevertheless in another of the mutable signs and accents the backbone of your solar chart. Solar eclipse is a form of new Moon and yes, it’s reasonable to anticipate that before long there really will be a fresh start. The likely been hints of this before. Don’t expect everything to happen this week but, when eventually you look back, you’ll probably agree that you made several key decisions at this time. Mercury is retrograde and first it is necessary to look back before looking forward. This affects all signs. Was particularly special in your case is the need to review a career path and why and how you ended up where you are. You don’t need to be supercritical, but may perhaps recognise that there are one or two links that have been broken but which could be forged. That’s a task that could be done close to next weekend which is in itself a significant time. Once again, the two planets Saturn in your Ennis will be at right angle. Think of this as chain reaction. It may be the contacts made between 1999 and 2002 could be reviewed and work to your advantage.
