GrannyMoon’s Weekly Feast 25-31 Oct 2020! Thanks for reading my blog!

The hollow winds begin to blow,
The clouds look black, the glass is low;
The soot falls down, the spaniels sleep,
And spiders from their cobwebs peep.
–Dr. Edward Jenner (1749–1823)

“The autumn woman moves towards dreamtime. Though she knows her limits, she has also felt limitless. She has known the ineffable. She wakes at night from dreams of high windy places where small blue flowers bloom, and she knows in her bones that such places exist. Luminous beings appear in her dreams and pull her towards them. She recognizes the dust of infinity in a windstorm, the fragrance of timelessness in a fire…”

—Patricia Monaghan, excerpted from Seasons of the Witch

Blessed be my little witch. To those who came before and those who will come after, know that the Goddess is with you always. Thank you all my dear readers…be blessed. ~GrannyMoon

Light A Candle Today!

In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

CoventryCreations.com

October 26, 2020 – November 1, 2020 is the last week of October and it brings us two signs changes as Mercury and Venus move into Libra, which should cool off some of the Scorpio energy and make it more manageable. In Libra, Mercury likes to weigh all the options before committing to an idea, and Venus seeks harmonious relationships that are diplomatic, kind, and civilized.

So, if you need to express political or controversial opinions, do it before Tuesday because people may tune you out. Later in the week, the ‘spooktacular’ Halloween Full Moon occurs in Taurus should rattle a few cages, but in addition to the Full Moon, we have the Sun opposing Uranus. Expect the unexpected to occur.

Finally, on Sunday, Mercury will form a tense square to Saturn in Capricorn. Although your mood may be melancholy and it may take an extra dose of caffeine to get you going, it’s a good day to focus on practical matters and complete tasks that need attention to detail. Best Coventry Candles this week are, BHC Inner Balance, Prosperity and Needed Change, and Wicked Good Florida Water.

Full Moon in Taurus, October 31, 2020
The Full Moon is one of, if not the best time to do magic. When the moon is in this phase, we are at our most creative and innovative, and things we are passionate about come bubbling to the surface. The October Full Moon is in Taurus and there is no stronger energy for money magic than this.

Llewellyn’s Spell-A-Day

A Nearing Hallow’s Household Blessing
BY RAVEN DIGITALIS

To bless your home throughout the tide of autumn, consider burning some sticks of your favorite all-natural incense. For this working, it’s best to burn quite a lot all at once; the more smoke the better—just be sure to be mindful of your fire alarms!

Light a few orange or black candles in holders to celebrate the season. As you burn your chosen sacred smoke, walk throughout your home and open every cupboard and closet. Waft the smoke in every space, and while doing so, repeat:

Cleansed and purified,
enchanted and sanctified.

Follow in suit by saying the same affirmation while sprinkling salt water with your fingertips.

If you wish, walk around your house or apartment building in a deosil (clockwise) fashion to bless the outside perimeter. Don’t forget to bless your Halloween decorations too!

Hearth and Happiness Cleaning Spell
BY CERRIDWEN IRIS SHEA

The holidays are almost upon us, stretching from Samhain through Twelfth Night. Before you start all that holiday cooking, it’s time to clean the kitchen!

Light some jar candles and put on some music. Invoke Hestia, Rosmerta, and the Kitchen God. Use your favorite green cleaners and floor washes, or a mixture of vinegar and baking soda (don’t lean over it; it bubbles), and get to work. Sing at the top of your lungs as you scrub your heart out.

Clean the oven, wash the stove and the countertops, clean out the cupboards, toss expired food, wash the floors, change the curtains, polish the fixtures, dust the cookbooks, and polish silverware, candlesticks, and copper pots.

Maybe even set up a shelf altar for a hearth spirit, and remember to say thanks each time you prepare a meal!

Fall Cleaning
BY TESS WHITEHURST

Spring cleaning gets a lot of press, but fall cleaning makes just as much sense. After all, in many parts of the Northern Hemisphere, we’re shutting our windows and getting ready to camp out at home for winter and the holidays, so of course we want to create a clean, cozy, organized, and energetically positive space for the months ahead.

Today, diffuse cinnamon and clove essential oils as you give your home a good, thorough cleaning. If you have time, you might also want to clear clutter and tackle some of the cleaning projects you haven’t gotten to for a while. Finish by lighting a stick of cedar incense, holding it over a dish or plate and giving the entire home a light yet powerful smudge. Move through each room and area in a clockwise direction with the smoke to bless the home with harmony, clarity, protection, energy, and health.

Remove a Ghost Spell
BY JAMES KAMBOS

If you have a ghost in your house, follow these instructions in the following verse to rid yourself of your resident spirit.

When the sky is cloaked in
the black of deepest night,

Light a virgin candle, tall and white.

Place it by a mirror, gaze until the
image is no longer your own,

Say quietly, “Come, spirit, let
me show you the way home.”

Walk out into the night, carry
the candle in your hand,

Urge the spirit to move on
its way to Summerland.

As the clock strikes midnight
and the winds begin to roar,

Feast the spirit, place an
apple by your door.

The next morn, bury the
apple in an earthly plot,

Leave it be, let it spoil, let
it decay, let it rot.

May your mind be at ease,
you treated the spirit well,

It has traveled on to Summerland,
and so ends this spell.

When You’re at a Crossroads
BY CHARLIE RAINBOW WOLF

Everyone has free will, and not even the angels can take it away. But sometimes it’s hard to know what outcome is best. When you’re stuck between two choices, this spell will help you make the decision. Remember, you’ve always got the right to change your mind! You’ll need two saucers, a bottle of spring water, and the tops cut off two carrots.

Fill the saucers with water, and place one carrot top in each. Set them in a light, dry place, somewhere fairly warm and where you’ll see them often. Keep them topped up with water from the bottle. Envision one carrot being one path and the second carrot being the other option. The carrot top that sprouts first and grows the strongest is the right path for you to take in this instance.

Release Your Burdens
BY MELISSA TIPTON

When you feel like you’re carrying a heavy burden or otherwise need to let go of dense, stuck energy, go for a walk and look for a stone that’s hefty but light enough for you to safely pick it up. Ask the stone if it would be willing to remove some of your heavy energy, and if you intuitively get a green light, proceed with the spell.

Holding the rock in both hands, bring to mind your burden, and allow any thoughts and emotions to arise. When you feel ready, send the burdensome energy into the stone, and once the transfer is complete, hold the stone aloft and drop it to the ground from waist height or higher. (Watch your toes!) Feel the lightness following the stone’s release and notice any shifts in your energy. Thank the stone for its aid.

Heartwings Love Notes 954 Seeing the Difference

Heartwings says, “When you can see the difference, you’re halfway home.”

I closed my newly operated eye and looked at the TV screen through the one with the cataract. Then I closed the that eye and reversed the process. I was amazed! The new eye saw a bright, sparkling image. The untouched eye saw a greyish greenish screen of dull colors. I had had no idea what I was missing before I had my first cataract operation. When something begins gradually, it is more difficult to notice. I had had the cataracts for some time before they were considered ready to be removed. I knew I needed more and more light to see by and had trouble distinguishing some colors, but thought nothing of it.

This is the same situation with other aspects of our lives. Habits, for instance grow in us as we become accustomed to actions or even to ways of thinking. Some habits are important to keep: reading labels on cans and boxes to see the sodium, calorie or other important content. Habits that encourage the practice of good mental and physical health like exercise and meditation are to be encouraged. Sometimes situations generate habits: I need to put drops in my new eye four times a day, once for each mealtime and once before bed. Other habits however, may need to be observed and then altered or eliminated.

It is important to become aware of habits that reflect how we perceive others as well as how we perceive ourselves. For instance, if as a result of having a parent concerned about your gaining weight you have trained yourself to see yourself as overweight regardless what you weigh, you have developed a bad habit. This might have once served a purpose but now no longer does. Unfortunately, this habitual attitude also often results in critical opinions of others who are overweight. One way to replace this bad habit with a good one is to practice compassion instead of criticism. Think of how that person may suffer bad knees or hips or both as a result of their extra poundage, and feel sad instead of thinking ill of him or her. This may also help you look at yourself differently.

My whole experience has been a wonderful lesson in observation. Clarity of sight and clarity of perception have gone hand in hand to generate some important, helpful lessons. I am grateful. No matter how many years I accumulate, I am happy to continue to learn and grow. Furthermore, gaining wisdom is the best consolation for the decreases that can come with aging. I look forward now to having my second cataract operation, scheduled for the first part of next month. It will be wonderful to see clearly with both eyes. I have been developing the habit of putting in the eyedrops, quite nicely. This will come in handy when my second eye is renewed. I will also be happy to let go of that habit a month after the operation. Once a habit has lost its value, it’s good to let it go.

May you recognize your bad habits and replace them with good ones.

Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert, tashahal@aol.com

P.S. If you have any stories to share about your own experiences, I do hope you will share them with me. I do so enjoy my emails from you, dear readers, and will surely answer you–sometimes after a while, but always.

Why Is Self-Compassion Important During Retrogrades?
mylittlemagicshop.com

Mercury Retrograde is in its second week of retrogradation, and we are sure that by now, we all felt its effects. This is certainly not a time to push forward, but it’s rather a time to take a breather, introspect, reflect, work, and improve what is already existing both inside and on the outside.

And during these introspections, and seeing the little imperfections and possible improvements, while nothing goes forward can be a really harsh time for anyone. So, the most important thing to remember during this Mercury Retrograde is to be compassionate to yourself.

Think of yourself as a close friend, or as a child that is still learning, and treat yourself with understanding, kindness, and compassion. It’s easy to fall back to your old patterns and judge yourself, or kick yourself while you are down, but how is that any way to create your own damn magic gorgeous?

History of Halloween (Samhain)

It’s Halloween – the celebration the ancient Celts called Samhain. This marks the Celtic beginning of the New Year and winter. This celebration starts at sunset on October 31 to sunset November 1.

Samhain, means November in the Celtic culture, it is the Gateway to winter, where the veils are especially thin between these worlds of the seen and unseen. The Celts called the unseen realms the ‘Otherworld’, a place of beauty, rest, and renewal. Samhain is a time in the cycle of the year for slowing down. For connecting to your deep self and resting there in the healing power of your inner nature. It is the turning of the seasons where you can commune with the earth mother’s womb from which all that is created is birthed.

This marks the time to honor the worlds of the seen and unseen – our everyday world, and the worlds of imagination, mystery, and spirit.

It was a celebration of darkness… And I don’t mean darkness as in “evil”, but rather a darkness that represents the unknown, the void, the subconscious mind, the realm of intuition, and all we cannot logically see or comprehend.

Samhain was also a time when the veils between the realms of the living and the afterlife were said to be thin.

The ancient Celts tapped into this energy with rituals to celebrate death, to honor those in the afterlife, and to gain insight into the darker hidden realms of existence.

Their belief was that in integrating and accepting the darkness… The knowledge and power of the light is also renewed.

Connect with the Realms of Spirit
Since Halloween is a time in which the spirit world is more active, and the veil between realms is thin it’s a perfect time to consciously tune into the realms of spirit too. Honor your ancestors and loved ones in spirit. Light a candle in remembrance of them. Speak to them. They do hear and look for signs from your departed loved ones. As the veil thins, and we feel the presence of our ancestors and those we cherish who have passed over. Many seasonal decorations can help do this. The jack-o’-lantern illuminates a path so the spirit of our ancestors can find their way. Apples are used to feed the dead, so leave an apple near your door or on a plate at your table. Also we set a place at the table for them and celebrate with them the passing of another season and the closing of another year.

Or just heightening your intuition, and tune in to your natural psychic abilities so you can connect with the guidance and insight of your guides and angels.

Learn a simple process to connect with your angels Here!

Or learn to Connect with your ancestors and loved ones in Heaven Here.

You might simply gather some colorful autumn leaves to place in a bowl on your kitchen counter, to acknowledge what you would like to shed in your life and what you would like to seed deep within you for rebirth and renewal.

Straddling the line between fall and winter, plenty and paucity, life and death, Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition

Today’s Halloween Traditions
The American Halloween tradition of “trick-or-treating” probably dates back to the early All Souls’ Day parades in England. During the festivities, poor citizens would beg for food and families would give them pastries called “soul cakes” in return for their promise to pray for the family’s dead relatives. The distribution of soul cakes was encouraged by the church as a way to replace the ancient practice of leaving food and wine for roaming spirits. The practice, which was referred to as “going a-souling” was eventually taken up by children who would visit the houses in their neighborhood and be given ale, food, and money.

The tradition of dressing in costume for Halloween has both European and Celtic roots. Hundreds of years ago, winter was an uncertain and frightening time. Food supplies often ran low and, for the many people afraid of the dark, the short days of winter were full of constant worry. On Halloween, when it was believed that ghosts came back to the earthly world, people thought that they would encounter ghosts if they left their homes. To avoid being recognized by these ghosts, people would wear masks when they left their homes after dark so that the ghosts would mistake them for fellow spirits. On Halloween, to keep ghosts away from their houses, people would place bowls of food outside their homes to appease the ghosts and prevent them from attempting to enter.

Halloween evolved into a secular, community-based event characterized by child-friendly activities such as trick-or-treating. In a number of countries around the world, as the days grow shorter and the nights get colder, people continue to usher in the winter season with gatherings, costumes and sweet treats. Leave treats on your doorstep to protect yourself from the wandering Spirits and dress in costume to hide from those in Spirit who may try to approach you.

Add a spiritual twist to your Halloween celebrations. Bring in the angels, fairies, gypsies, into your celebrations instead of the darker scary and horror beings. By bringing in more of the light you will see a difference in your life.

With Halloween being a celebration of the ending of a cycle and the death of what has been it is a powerful time to honor and release what has died and moved on from your reality.

Halloween and Spiritual Protection
Because Halloween is a time in which the veils are thin, and many celebrate the holiday without awareness it’s a good idea to consciously keep your energy clear and protected, which is simple to do with using the protection of God’s White Light.

This is especially important if you go to a Halloween party where people are drinking alcohol, or you go see a scary movie or attend a haunted house or somewhere that fear/negative energies are being generated and called in, or where people are or focusing on the lower horror/spookier spiritual realms.

Halloween is not a holiday to be feared! Keep yourself spiritually protected and avoid negative/dark energies. In doing so you will find this an extremely enlightening time of year.

It’s just wise to give a little extra effort towards releasing what no longer serves. Honoring your intuition, and honoring the incredible life beyond what we can see, and understand from our perspective as being in the physical can bring about a sense of peace and renewal to your life.

Release and Let Go!

The time on and around Halloween is a perfect opportunity to release and let go! Consciously make an effort to let go of lower emotions, and energies tied to past situations, thoughts, and patterns.

Take some time to cleanse your energy with a salt bath, a cleansing meditation, or just by consciously cleansing your energy with light and divine love.

Letting go also includes taking the time to honor and release all that you have achieved in the past year.

When you shed and let go of all that has been, and let what has been completed die and fall away. You tap into the power of the cycles of life, and the opportunity to make way for new creative possibilities and opportunities to appear.

Halloween gives us an opportunity to welcome the unknown, reflect, release, and bring a little extra magic and intuition into everyday life. We’re just headed into the next cycle of life and trust that it will be a wonderful rebirth spiritually.

So call it Halloween or Samhain take time to celebrate and enjoy this special time of year.

No Tricks – Just Treats. Get answers to the questions that are haunting you with my Spiritual Readings.

Many blessings,

Grace Sherwood
The Witch of Pungo
https://www.encyclopediavirginia.org/Sherwood_Grace_ca_1660-1740

Grace Sherwood was the defendant in colonial Virginia’s most notorious witch trial, which took place in Princess Anne County in 1706. Sherwood was rumored to be a witch as early as 1698, when she and her husband sued their neighbors for defamation and slander.

They lost their cases, and in 1705 another neighbor pressed criminal charges of witchcraft against Grace Sherwood. She was subjected to a water test in which the accused is bound, thrown into a body of water (in this case, the Lynnhaven River), and found guilty if he or she floats.

Grace floated, but instead of sentencing her to death, the justices jailed her and ordered a re-trial. Whether a second trial occurred is not known.

By 1714, Grace had been released from prison and returned to her home in Pungo, where she died in 1740.

Grace Sherwood is my second cousin 9 times removed, on my mother’s side.

Reiki Salt House Cleanse
Article by Justine Melton

Whenever the seasons change I like to do a major Reiki cleanse with all areas of my life. It helps to release the old and welcome in the new. I have to admit I haven’t always been the biggest fan of salt cleansing. I thought there were better ways or that Reiki could just do it all on its own. I recommend to everyone to always just use what speaks out to them.

Salt is something that I have always listed as a good thing to use with Reiki as I know it works for many people. It is included in my Reiki classes as a positive thing to use but it wasn’t something that spoke out to me much. I decided it was time to investigate the use of salt a little more and do my own experiment. I wanted to see if I noticed a bigger difference when cleansing my home with a Reiki Salt combo. What better time than the start of a new season with new energy and possibilities?

Below you will find the method that I used along with a list of my results. I did this over a month and changed the salt weekly.

Reiki Salt House Cleanse:

  1. Prepare for the house cleanse: Purchase enough salt to cleanse your entire house. I used whatever was on sale at the store. I know some people will only buy pure sea salt when cleansing. I believe that any salt will work. Do what speaks to you. You will need enough to put a small amount in each corner of your house as well as sprinkling though out. Also, be sure to get enough small glasses out to use in each of the main corners of your house. I do not recommend using plastic. If you do not have enough glasses then pouring some directly on the floor is ok.
  2. Stand in the middle of your house and picture a white light encircling your house. Say to yourself or out loud, “I surround this house in the white light of God’s love and divine protection.” Substitute whatever your own views are with this statement. Saying what you believe has the most power. For example, you could use the word higher power or source instead of the word God. Then, make a power or master symbol in front of you in the middle of your house while asking Reiki for the greatest good to occur in this cleansing.
  3. Pour salt (I usually use a few tablespoons for each corner) into the glasses you are going to use. Make a power symbol or master symbol over each glass and say, “Only peace, love, and understanding is allowed in this house. No negativity or negative people may cross into this space.” Place each glass you have prepared into the farthest corners of your house. For me, I have 4 main corners that I put them in down stairs, 4 main corners upstairs, and I used two at the furthest edges of my garage. I also put one glass under my bed.
  4. Next, pour a solid line of salt across the main entrances to your home. I did this at my front door, back door, and garage door. I also did it at the main sliding doors and windows that I like to have open. After you have poured your line of salt make a power or master symbol over it and say the same thing as before, “Only, peace, love, and understanding is allowed in this house. No negativity or negative people may cross into this space.”
  5. Finally, walk around your house and sprinkle salt anywhere that you feel you might need a little extra positivity and make a power or master symbol over it. I sprinkled salt in my closets, in my showers, and in a particular area of my backyard.
  6. Give thanks and change the salt once a week for 4 weeks. Dispose of the salt in your trash can. If you poured your salt directly onto the floor then simply vacuum it up and then toss in the trash can. After that use this method whenever you feel called to do so.

Reiki Salt House Cleanse

I was surprised at what a difference this cleansing method made in my own home. I had planned on sharing with you how Reiki alone was better than a Reiki Salt Combo but to do what worked for you. I noticed such amazing results that this is now going to be something that I routinely do a few times a year in my home in between my normal Reiki home cleanse.

Results after my experiment:
Major positive and light feeling throughout my entire home.

I had different people consistently asking me if I had done something different to my house.

I noticed small little spaces that I suddenly felt the urge to clean that I hadn’t noticed before. I keep my house very clean and free of negativity in the first place so this alone really surprised me.

My children commented on how good the house felt and asked me if I had some new cleaning product. They commented that the house felt open and that they could sleep better.

Felt the urge to suddenly throw some items away that had never bothered me before.

People in my home were able to communicate better and express themselves in a more positive way. My husband is a very passionate person and I have to say I noticed a HUGE difference here.

Things that were bothering people were brought up out of nowhere and cleansed.

Negative people suddenly didn’t want to call or come over. Or if they did come over they had to quickly exit.

I started having the more positive people in my life contact me more and ask to come over.

I noticed that I had a much lower tolerance for deception and mistruths. These people were naturally repelled from my home.

More animals (especially birds) started hanging out in my yard. All of my plants appeared to be happier and started blooming at the same time.

My whole family had more energy.

I encourage you to give this Reiki Salt House Cleanse a try and see what unexpected results it may bring to your home.

Being Happy For Others
~DailyOm

Celebrating the happiness of others requires a generosity of spirit that we often find only in the process.

We all want to be the kind of people who are happy for others when they experience success or a cause for celebration in their lives, but it isn’t always easy. Sometimes powerful, dark feelings come up at times when decorum dictates we should be feeling the opposite. Instead of reaching out and celebrating our loved one, we may feel the rising up of our own pain. This pain may arise because we feel jealous of our friend for having something we don’t.

It may arise because our friend’s success will lead to us losing them in some way. And it may arise for reasons we don’t yet understand. The important thing is not to brush it under the rug, but to take it seriously and look at it; suppressing it will only make it worse. At the same time, we need to be sure to find a way to congratulate our friends and celebrate their successes as if they were our own.

The struggle with being happy for others presents itself early in life. If a child wants a toy and another child has it, the child will try to get it or will break down in tears. Those primal feelings are still present in most of us, and we have to acknowledge them when they arise. At the same time, it is when we care enough for someone to let go of what we want for ourselves that we grow as people. It can be a difficult dance to find ourselves suspended between wanting the toy and throwing a party for our friend who got the toy. Yet, it is in throwing the party that we share in the joy–and, to some extent, the toy–rather than cutting ourselves out of it.

Extending ourselves to celebrate the happiness of others requires a generosity of spirit that we sometimes find only in the process of doing it. So when your best friend moves to Spain with the person you had a crush on, tend to your broken heart but throw them a going away party too.

Feeling Overwhelmed
DailyOm

Always know, the Universe works in perfect order and you are never given more than you can handle.

Sometimes we may feel like there is just too much we need to do. Feeling overwhelmed may make it seem like the universe is picking on us, but the opposite is true: we are only given what we can handle. Difficult situations are opportunities to be our best selves, hone our skills and rise to the occasion.

The best place to start is to take a deep breath. As you do, remind yourself that the universe works in perfect order and therefore you can get everything done that needs to get done. As you exhale, release all the details that you have no control over. The universe with it’s infinite organizing power will orchestrate the right outcome. Anytime stress begins to creep up, remember to breathe through it with these thoughts.

Then, make a list of everything you need to do. Note what needs to be done first, and mark the things others may be able to do for you or with you. Though we often think no one else can do it correctly or well, there are times when it is worth it to exhale, let go of our control, and ask for help from professionals or friends. With the remaining things that feel you must do yourself, take another breath and determine their true importance. Sometimes they are things we’d like to do, but aren’t really necessary. After taking these quick steps, you will find you have a plan laid out, freeing you from frenzied thoughts circling in your head. With calming deep breaths, you are now free to focus more fully on our priorities. Herbal teas or flower remedies along with wise choices about caffeine and food can help keep us from becoming frantic too. But with nothing further from us than our breath, we can breathe in our best intentions and let the rest go with an exhale. Keeping ourselves centered and breathing into and through life’s challenges helps us learn what we are truly capable of doing, and we will find we have the ability to rise to any occasion. Remember you aren’t being picked on, and you are never alone.

GrannyMoon’s Three Sisters Soup 2020

Three Sisters Soup is a Native American tradition. Corn, beans, and squash are planted together on the same mound. The three thrive together because corn provides a natural pole for the beans to climb, the beans put nitrogen in the soil, and the squash leaves shade the ground to prevent the growth of weeds.

These important crops: corn, beans, and squash, planted together, are called the Three Sisters. In many Native American communities, these three crops hold spiritual significance, as they are seen as gifts from the Great Spirit to sustain life on earth.

Granny’s Note:
I make this every year for our Fall gatherings. The ingredients change with what I have available. Changing around the types of corn, beans, and squash. This year I am using chili beans and black beans and pumpkin for the squash. You may use regular corn or hominy. Using different spices to taste.

Three Sisters Soup

5 Cans of Chili Beans
1 Bag of Frozen Corn
1 15 oz Can of Pumpkin
1 Can of Black Beans
Jalapenos
Cumin
Cayenne
Pepper
Garlic Salt
Onion Powder
Pumpkin Pie Spices

Using a slow cooker, add beans, corn, and enough water or vegetable stock to cover and bring to a simmer. To prevent it from getting too soft, hold back the pumpkin if using pre-cooked.

Add mixture to slow cooker and cook on high for 2-4 hours. Adjust cooking times as necessary so that mixture is bubbly and vegetables are fully cooked.

Approximately 30 minutes before serving, add chopped Jalapenos.

A Bit Magical and All That

My dearest, are you the magical cat, the tigress that casts her spells over me with a growling purr that caresses my heart whilst purring over my body. I can see you dreaming in your cosy spot, yet my eyes aren’t open, my mind barely awake yet I am not asleep. I can feel you.

Surely, my love, surely, with a desire as strong as this, in our minds, un our bodies, in our souls Fate has not been unkind this world. Desire to make each other happy. Desire to make each other complete. Desire, the sweet desire, to love. Fate has not been unkind in her cruel torment. For the torment between us is exquisite pleasure.

Our love is not only the flames of passion when I seek to take all that is hidden in you whilst giving you my everything, when kisses recreate the burning shrine of the clouds on the mountain tops resembling the kingdoms of the gods. It is the spiritual passion that flows like a gentle river and is as tumultuous as a cascading waterfall cresting a cliff edge.

Oh my darling Tigress your Raven bird longs for you to join him in his flight, but to fly his wings need you in their mantle. You know how it works, a Raven’s magic and the spells of the Tigress combine to create the power of love. And on that, my lover, I say goodnight!

Gilberto’s Recovery
by Stephen Halpert

Rosa glanced at her watch. “Look at the time!” She nodded at her husband. “Time to go, Ramon.”

He smiled and got up from his armchair. “It’s been quite a day–and evening, too. Sleep well, Bro.” He slapped his best friend on the back and gave Maria a gentle hug. After an exchange of good nights, he and Rosa left for home.
Maria made some coffee for them both and joined a frowning Gilberto on the sofa. She knew why he wasn’t happy: he wasn’t getting his way.
She put their cups down on the coffee table in front of them. “I’m sorry you’re upset with me. But Gilberto, I must insist on being honest even if what I have to say is hard for you to hear.” She kissed his cheek and put her arms around his shoulders. “I call it speaking my truth.”
He sighed and tried to smile. “It isn’t always easy with you. I can’t argue with you. I met Edwardo and Alicia. I could tell what you were up against with them telling you what to do. All your opposition with them made you strong.”
She sighed and gently stroked his shoulders. “I’m glad you understand.”
He sighed again. “I can’t fight you Maria, especially now with the baby. But I’ll say so when I think what you’re doing is crazy. And if I start shouting then that’s too bad.”
She smiled and nodded. “And you do and will continue to, very loud sometimes. I don’t mind too much, your shouting but it’s scary for me to see you get red in the face. That’s when I fear you could have a stroke.”
He shrugged and scowled. “You don’t have to worry about that.”
She continued stroking him. “But I do. It goes with loving you, wanting to care for you. I’m your best friend Gilberto. I look out for you; and I know you look out for me whether I want you to or not.”
He looked at her and blinked. “Is that such a bad thing, looking out for you? Isn’t that’s what men are supposed to do?”
“I have no idea.” Her voice was soft. “But sometimes when it’s overbearing and condescending, then it’s no fun. “
His eyes teared up. “But we’re still a good team?”
Instead of saying anything, she moved even closer beside him and started to kiss him gently. That caught him by surprise. He responded, kissing her back. Then he started laughing.
Maria began to laugh too. They hugged and kissed and for a special moment drifted far from the sofa overlooking the Charles.
“Nice,” she whispered. “So nice the way we fit so good.”
He made a sighing sound and kissed her again. “I just want you beside me.”
“I always will be.”
He shook his head and wrinkled his brow. “I’m ok now, but what happens if my brain skips out from the rest of me. That makes me feel frightened.”
She shook her head. “Makes me feel frightened too, so stop thinking that way. There’s no need.” She pulled back and looked at him, smiling. “I’m serious. You could even start using your intuition. Get into meditation. You could find a brain injury group on line. There are endless possibilities.”
He nodded and looked thoughtful. “I like the idea of meditation. I’ve been thinking about that.” He took a sip of the coffee, smiled and sat back on the sofa.
The home phone rang. “Let it go,” Gilberto said.
Maria sighed. “No at this hour it might be important.” She stood slowly and picked up the receiver.
“It’s Ramon,” she told Gilberto. “What?” She put the phone on speaker and brought up the volume so he could hear. “What do you mean Lola’s been kidnapped? Where, when?”
Gilberto sat up, wide eyed.
“As soon as she got off the plane,” Ramon said. That’s what someone from the American Embassy told us. It happened right there at the airport in Caracas. They grabbed her and drove off in a truck.”
Maria sighed. “She has no idea who this man is.”
Ramon chuckled. “Almost wouldn’t matter. You don’t know her like we do. Here’s Rosa.”
“Maria, I’m so upset. What will happen?” Rosa’s voice trembled. “I’m afraid someday she’ll be left for dead.”
“Leave her to God,” Maria said. “That’s what He does best, looking after people like Lola.”
Rosa sighed. “She’s my little sister. It’s been like this with her ever since she was nine and started being independent.”
“Why at nine,” Maria said.
“Our grandmother died that year. In some odd way her passing empowered Lola.”
“I’m sure she’ll be fine.” Maria reiterated. “Did the feds call you?”
“Yes, the federal agent who interviewed us. He called it a high priority matter.”
Gilberto frowned. “So, what are we supposed to do?”
“Can’t do anything,” Ramon interjected. “They told us to let them know if we’re contacted.”
Maria nodded. “I think she’s reunited with him and they’re on the beach just like Gilberto saw in his vision.”
“Maybe,” Rosa said. “I know Gilberto’s got the gift to see. What a fool my sister is. I’ll tell you Maria, worrying about her is turning my hair gray.
“Probably she wasn’t kidnapped,” Maria said. “I’ll bet Karibe’s people grabbed her at the airport and brought her to him.”
“That sounds very Late Night Movies to me,” Rosa said. “Life isn’t that way, is it?”
“How am I supposed to know?” Ramon said.
But we felt we should tell you,” Rosa added. “We’ll all be watched by the government. They could even be listening to this conversation.”

Georgia Nicols’ Weekly Horoscope: Sunday, October 25, 2020
All Signs

Halloween can be full of surprises, “Trick-or-treat!” However, this year Halloween will “really” be full of surprises because on that day, the Sun will be opposite Uranus, the planet of wild and crazy unpredictability; plus, the Moon will line up with Uranus as well. A double whammy! Please note: This is an accident-prone day. Parents must be aware of this, especially with young children out after dark. Everything is unpredictable this day, which means you must be mindful and pay attention to everything you say and do. One other unusual aspect about this year is that even if you don’t care about Halloween, you’ll be wearing a mask!

Aries (March 21-April 19)
This has been such a challenging year for you! Frankly hellish. All the heavy-duty stuff with Saturn and Pluto taking place in Capricorn was completely at 90 degrees odds with your sign. Furthermore, from Sept. to Nov. when Mars is retrograde in your sign, you will question everything and feel at loose ends. In just three weeks, Mars will no longer be retrograde and your life will improve – definitely. It will improve even again in Dec. and then again in Jan.! (That’s how bad it’s been.) In the meantime, your closest relationships are pleasantly activated because both Mercury and Venus just moved opposite your sign this week. Expect smooth exchanges plus lots of fun conversation. Yada, yada, yada.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Something unexpected to do with partners and close friends will occur this week, more likely towards the end of the week. Count on this. Someone might suggest something you least expect? Perhaps more freedom in the relationship? Possibly, you are the person who wants more independence? Mars retrograde is taking place in a hidden part of your chart, which can stir up feelings from your childhood, which will probably make you feel insecure. Fortunately, relations with coworkers are excellent, even though Mercury retrograde is triggering delays, goofy mistakes and mixed-up communications related to your job or actually, anything that you do. Be alert around Halloween.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
You are keen to get better organized this week, which is why you are working hard. You will also welcome opportunities to socialize and enjoy sports events and fun times with kids. Some of you might hear from an old flame? Meanwhile, as we near Halloween, something unexpected could impact your health, your job or something to do with a pet. Whatever happens will be surprising and will demand your attention. Caution against snap judgments at that time, especially if you feel rattled. (Which you probably will.) Something might make you question your involvement with a group or a particular friend. Maybe this needs rethinking?

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
This is a fun-loving, playful week for you. Enjoy social outings (if you can swing this) as well as fun activities with kids. The arts and the entertainment world will be entertaining choices along with sports activities. This week, many of you will tackle home repairs or redecorating projects. Romance might be uppermost in your mind (for many of you). If so, be aware that romance is very unpredictable, especially during the Halloween weekend. Anything can happen. Couples might split up; new love might happen. Meanwhile, parents should note that this is an accident-prone time for their kids, especially next weekend when Halloween occurs. Therefore, be vigilant and conscientious to avoid regrets. Be extra vigilant.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You’re keen to communicate to others this week and for the next few weeks. In fact, you will feel a need to share your ideas because you have something to say. You will also enjoy learning something new when talking to others. Home and family will continue to be your primary focus but do be aware that this week, especially Halloween weekend, will be upsetting on the home scene. Something unexpected could impact a parent or a family member or something to do with your home. Give this some thought and try to deflect whatever it might be. (You might have a hunch about what could happen. If so – listen to that little voice on your shoulder.) Life is easier when things flow smoothly at home. (No animal was harmed in the writing of this column.)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Please be careful and be aware of everything you say and do right now because this is an accident-prone week, especially at the end of the week near Halloween. Factoid. This means you will have to pay attention to everything you say and do. Be mindful and aware. Fortunately, you will be on top of money issues because you have moneymaking ideas. Many of you will want to shop for beautiful things, for yourself and loved ones. Disputes about shared property, taxes and debt might arise. Issues might make you rebellious and even short tempered this week (oops), which means you will have to cultivate patience. Patience is waiting – without being irritated. So what?

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
This week is full of many unpredictable events for different people and these surprises and unexpected situations are going to be different for each sign. For Libra, surprises related to money might occur. Something unexpected might impact your earnings or the wealth and assets of your partner might change? In fact, near Halloween weekend, it will be wise to guard your property and items that you own because something unexpected could affect them – including theft and damage. Stay in touch with bank accounts and information related to taxes and debt to avoid unwanted surprises. This is a talkative week for you, and a very charming one because Venus and Mercury have both entered your sign. Everyone will love to be in your company.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
This is a tricky week. The Sun is in your sign but by the end of the week, during Halloween weekend, it will be directly opposite wild, wacky Uranus. This means all kinds of unexpected situations might occur with close friends, partners and members of the general public. People might rebel against your suggestions. They might suddenly accuse you of something. They might want more freedom in the relationship? It could be anything. (“Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!”) Frustrations at work will greatly diminish next month so be patient until that happens. Until then, something going on behind the scenes will actually please you! For some, it’s a secret love affair.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This week both Mercury and fair Venus move into your House of Friendships, which will promote good times with others, especially creative, artistic types as well as younger people. This means you will enjoy schmoozing with others as well as being enthused about your involvement with clubs and associations. However, surprises related to pets, your health and your job might occur this week, especially toward the end of the week around Halloween. Something will definitely catch you off guard then, so stay flexible. Try not to have a tight schedule. Give yourself time for wiggle room to deal with the unexpected. Vacation plans or something related to sports might be temporarily stalled but fear not, in Nov., all this will change for the better. In the meantime, no matter what happens this week – don’t quit your day job.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Parents must be extra vigilant this week, especially on the Halloween weekend because this is an accident-prone time for your kids. In fact, on the day of Halloween, it is extremely accident-prone. Therefore, be vigilant and remove all possible hazards that might create problems. Social plans might suddenly change or be cancelled. Sports accidents are also likely. It’s a crapshoot! Fortunately, relations with parents, bosses and VIPs are excellent. In fact, a cozy relationship with a boss could result in a flirtation or a new romance. (Be still my beating heart.) By Nov., situations at home that have been haphazard will start to flow more smoothly. At last!

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
This week something unexpected will impact home and family. Small appliances might break down or minor breakages could occur. Perhaps something unexpected could occur within your family dynamic? You certainly face an accident-prone Halloween weekend. Because this is an accident-prone time, so slow down and take it easy and pay attention to everything you say and do. Be mindful and encourage family members to be likewise. The weekend of Halloween will be the most dangerous time for you. Meanwhile, travel for pleasure and chances to learn something new will delight you. Some of you might strike up a new romance with someone who is “different”. (Interesting.)

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Do be careful because this is an accident-prone week for your sign, most especially at the end of the week during the weekend of Halloween. Any kind of accident might occur, driving, cycling, walking, jogging as well as verbal accidents where you might blurt something out that you later regret. (“Did I just say that?”) On the upside, this unpredictable influence can affect your mind and push it “outside of the box,” which will encourage genius-like ideas and original thinking. Admittedly, some of these genius-like ideas could be bizarre and unrealistic. Meanwhile, both Mercury and Venus are now in one of your Money Houses, which will encourage you to stay on top of issues with shared wealth, inheritances, taxes and debt. You can also expect gifts and goodies to come your way! (We like!)

Weekly Horoscopes Beginning Sunday, 25 October 2020

If you’re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you‘re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Aries
Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Few things are more irritating for an Aries than facing situations where those in charge think slowly or are indecisive. Yet, thats the case and, in fact, youve no control over the situation or those making decisions. Tempting as it is to plot ways to speed up the pace, youd actually be better off tackling certain rather dull matters youve been putting off. You won`t regret it.

You get the feeling a new partner isnt over a past relationship and youre worried they might go back with their ex. Without being too critical, gently insist that it is time they made a choice. You cant sit back and wait forever for them to decide. A task youve been dreading is on your mind. You know you have to do this and the moment you take the initiative, all will fall nicely into place. Sometimes the thought is worse than the actual deed.

A week that concludes with the Full Moon aligning with Uranus, the planet of surprises, is sure to be eventful. With the accent now across one of the financial zones of your solar chart there is high probability of money matters dominating and yes, potentially being destabilising. It perhaps doesn`t help that both Mercury, and your ruling planet Mars, are retrograde. However, lifeboats may not be so far away. Both Mercury and Venus move into Libra midweek. The former returns to that sign, whilst the latter is entering it. Think of this as brackets between which there is a flurry of ideas and suggestions as to rescue plans. You may not be able to implement these until Mercury stations at the beginning of next week but, for now, discussing options is imperative and could be exciting.

Taurus
Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

While youd have good reason to try to sway the direction of crucial plans or, equally, to shift the worrying decisions of others, youre urged to wait and watch. Between now and the pivotal Taurus Full Moon, on 31 October, unexpected options will arise. These, in turn, could lead to changes more far-reaching than, today, you`d have considered possible. Knowing that, be patient. Take things in stages.

Championing the underdog will make you feel as if youre helping to make a difference. Whether youre raising money for a worthy cause or volunteering through your local council is immaterial. What`s important is that you are helping to bring light into dark corners of society. Stand up for yourself if someone who should know better tries to intimidate you. There are others who have noticed this too and those who have the guts to support you are the ones you can rely on in the future.

This week concludes with a Full Moon aligning with your Uranus (moving through your sign); and yes, it`s possible that you will be the one who destabilises others. That though may not be such a bad thing: Mercury is presently retrograde and returns to Libra just as, Venus enters that same sign. These accents working affairs. It may be that you come up with a way of working that has the potential to resolve many issues – even if initially its disruptive and yes, potentially shocking. It could be argued that this would be the perfect time to discuss a merger. Though contractual obligations might not begin for another week (after Mercury turns direct), discussions will likely include analysis as to who is contributing what resources and assets. In short, this could be a super exciting week that results in you altering direction and paving the way for exciting career opportunities in 2021.

Gemini
Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Usually youre not only the first to spot the potential in changes, youll guide those whore struggling with the inevitable twists and turns. Now, however, with your ruler Mercury still retrograde, and also moving into a new sign, youll have plenty to think about. The secret? Get others involved in the resulting discussions. The exchange of ideas will be as complex as, ultimately, it is worthwhile.

Don`t think you know what your partner is thinking because you could read an ex in such a way. They are both very different and this could cause a lot of damage to your relationship. You and your other half may not completely understand each other about some upcoming arrangements. This is an issue you will work out for yourselves providing other people can refrain from interfering. Sensual delights like soaking in a scented bath will help you relax.

It would be wholly understandable if you felt that your world was turned upside down. Its not simply that your ruling planet, Mercury, is retrograde and returning to another of the Air signs but that this coincides with Venus arrival in that same sign, Libra, whilst both the Moon and Mars are moving through fiery Aries. The fact that all this takes place within a few days of the Full Moon (31st) that aligns with Uranus, suggests at best a chaotic week. You may recall that we are presently moving through the Gemini-Sagittarius eclipse season. For many born under these signs, issues of moving and altered career direction will dominate. Development this week could be destabilising and leave you unsure as to your long-term position. You could be temporarily knocked off your axis. What will likely help is that younger people seem willing to offer support as you negotiate this complex period. Know too, that these cosmic squalls will soon be in the past, and that once Jupiter moves into another of the Air signs in December, that you could be looking at a much brighter future.

Cancer
Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Although you benefit from an instinctive understanding of the intense feelings triggered in the run-up to the Full Moon, on Saturday 31 October, even you could be overwhelmed. If so, back off and, instead of analysing the situations and your options, wait and watch. Within days changes in circumstances will substantially alter the actual situation in question. Even then, you`re urged to take things slowly.

Youre starting to wonder about the changes in a new friend or partners behaviour. It might seem as if their conduct when you are together is a world apart from the person they are in public. Its hard to understand why they should behave so differently and if it is making you feel inferior, its important to tell them. Don`t feel guilty about making relaxation a priority as the week ends. Look after your health.

Dont panic, but this week concludes with a Full Moon that aligns with Uranus, the planet of disruption, chaos, surprise and ambush. It is suggested that those of your sign are particularly sensitive to the lunar cycle and yes, even you might agree you not always rational around Full Moon. Prior to that event (31st) there is significant planetary activity at the base of your solar chart. This time, instead of being panicked you could perhaps have the lifeboats ready and emergency measures in place midweek to avoid possible catastrophe. News about friends and their jobs and career paths could be deeply unsettling. Simultaneously though, your own career promises to move off at tangent and in a way that could never have been imagined just one year ago. Talks taking place from Wednesday will likely gather quick momentum but yes, the emotional impact may be considerable. Hold the thought that Mercury turns direct next week and that though agreement cant be reached immediately, that what`s presented this week should provide the foundations for developments that gather momentum after Mercury stations on November 3rd.

Leo
Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

For weeks youve been uncertain how to handle a range of crucial but confusing matters. However, now that your ruler the Sun is accenting these, both the actual situations and your own priorities will be clearer. Still, take it slowly. Theres lots more yet to come to light before youre ready to turn the ideas youre discussing into plans that will outlast the current dramas.

You have plenty to say but others want to share their thoughts too. Are you giving yourself a chance to take in what people are telling you? Ask yourself whether you are really listening. Your family and friends need to feel you are hearing their words if life is to be harmonious. A decision you have to make will hold a degree of risk. You can`t keep thinking about it. The only way to get through this is to take a chance.

This week concludes with a Full Moon across the back of your solar chart involving Uranus, the planet of chaos and unexpected surprises. So, the week should be full of energy and highly eventful. Midweek retrograde Mercury returns to Libra as Venus arrives in that sign. The presence of these two so-called inner planets in the friendship area of that same chart suggests increased networking though true, with Mercury retrograde there will be some handicap involved. A recent university study stated that after three months, if friends do not need meet those friendships fade away and die. You might wish to prove that analysis incorrect. Indeed, it`s through reaching out that you could make progress on the career front too. The ball though is most likely in your court. A whirlwind of activity in both your home and working environment – and yes, the too may be linked, – could involve attention to where electrical equipment is placed. You could consult with a feng shui expert before making decisions.

Virgo
Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Ordinarily, your remarkable ability to analyse tricky situations, and to explore and evaluate various options, enables you to handle matters others struggle with. At the moment, however, even you could feel overwhelmed. This is partly because certain elements are so unfamiliar. Actually, with so much in transition, youd regret trying to turn existing plans into lasting arrangements. Instead, keep things loose. You wont regret it.

You will be offered the chance to work from home. Whenever youve worked from home in the past youve worked harder and longer because you didn`t want your boss to think you were shirking. This time you will be strict with yourself about keeping a balance between family life and business. Being asked to take a leading role in a community enterprise or fund-raising project will give your confidence a boost. Trust your intuition when it comes to business and money.

This could prove one exhausting week as retrograde Mercury returns to Libra, just as Venus arrives in that sign. Think about that for a moment: it`s as though the cosmos puts a sentence between two brackets. The fact that this occurs in an area of your solar chart associated with earning suggests you might be thinking of developing a new revenue stream or even changing job. On 31st there is a Full Moon involving Uranus. Uranus is the planet of the unexpected and for you, it may be that you experience a lightbulb moment knowing exactly what expertise you now need. The race enrols on of course or to brush up your CV so that you can make the most of opportunities presenting next week after Mercury turns direct, might also lead to intense discussion with an Aries who is 100% sure that they can run your life better than you are doing. Irritating as their approach may be, it is just possible that they will identify a career route that would suit you well.

Libra
Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

The Libra New Moon, on 16 October, may have been a turning point in terms of your feelings about certain individuals and, equally, existing plans; but taking action on those insights has been surprisingly challenging, mostly because the circumstances of others are in flux, too. Obviously, arranging anything lasting is impossible. Recognise that, actually, there`s no rush, and everything will fall into place, amazingly, if slowly.

You worry about a younger friend or relative. They aren`t showing a very respectful attitude but you sense there is something underneath their wayward behaviour. You will do all you can to work out how you can help. Find a way to persuade people to be more reliable and responsible while retaining their self-esteem. Subjects brought up in a group situation will touch contentious areas. Think carefully before offering your opinions. Evidence is needed before you present thoughts as facts.

With Mercury returning to your sign just as Venus arrives there midweek, and bearing in mind that simultaneously the Moon in your opposite sign aligns with Mars, you could be at the centre of chaotic activity when you could put latent diplomatic skills to the test. (Its a curious thing that Libra is supposed to be able to restore harmony but very often are central to war talk and disruption!) With Uranus, the planet of upsets, aligning with the Full Moon next weekend, and prior to that making difficult aspect with Venus, it does appear that Libras could truly upset the apple cart. You will need to watchwords carefully and perhaps reflect back on decisions taken as the Sun entered your sign back in September. It isnt necessarily the case that you made a bad move then, but that perhaps adjustments need to be made before a project plan is concluded satisfactorily. It would be wise to keep notes of all conversations and in particular, seek support (most likely from Taurus) who keep you grounded through what promises to be an exceptionally busy time.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Not only do you have a talent for being patient, it gives you the edge in matters involving those who struggle with such delays; but now, even you are feeling increasingly frustrated by the uncertainty youre facing, and in a range of matters. Actually, thats to be expected. For now, reflect. The resulting insights will come together magically at the Scorpio New Moon on 15 November.

Take a chance and open up to a new friend or partner. This is the only way you can get to know each other. Either you will see patterns of the past repeating themselves as you discover you aren`t as compatible as you hoped or there will be similarities between you that you can build on and enjoy. Achieving a personal objective is something you are determined about now. You will take this task seriously since you do nothing by half measures.

Next weekends Full Moon (31st) coincides with Halloween. That in itself promises excitement; but add to that the presence of Uranus in your opposite sign aligning with the Moon and this should be an exciting but yes, arguably very political weekend. Midweek Mercury leaves your sign to return to Libra for a few days just as Venus arrives in Libra whilst the Moon and retrograde Mars moving through Aries activate the work and health area of your solar chart.. A neat image would be the need to go back to either pick up an item or get advice from someone whose overview of a situation is better than your own presently - even if they dont have your instincts for assessing possible manipulation. One way or another it could fall to you to ensure that others are given clear facts and guidance and not bamboozled into actions that they later regret.

Sagittarius
Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Being a fire sign, youve a remarkable talent for dealing with the least expected of changes and even seriously unsettling events. Yet the sudden developments reshaping your life, others circumstances and the world around you are so overwhelming, youve no idea where to start. Actually, thats the answer. For now, do nothing. Out of character as this may be, by early November you`ll be glad you waited.

As soon as you find yourself comparing your partner with someone from the past, stop. Everyone is different. It would be a shame for your other half to feel as if they are competing with someone they havent even met. A neighbour or workmate is making a song and dance over an incident that doesnt bother you in the slightest. Expect stress related aches and pains if you spend too long with people or in places where you can`t be yourself.

A week that concludes with a Full Moon aligning with Uranus, the planet of the unexpected, is sure to be eventful. The fact that both Mercury and Venus entered Libra (the former retrograde and the other direct), suggests that the waters will be anything but calm. Socially for Sagittarius this should be a busy time. It could be argued that this would be the optimum time to network. Prior to that, you might think of brushing up your CV. The fact that this Full Moon accents the working area of your solar chart, suggests the stakes will be high. For some, this could coincide with a crisis over which you have little control. Whilst yours is one of the Mutable signs of the zodiac (and there is an assumption that you can adapt easily to new conditions), it should be remembered that Sagittarius likes to have clear destination. With others in a flap, and confusion as to the optimum routes to see successful completion of a project, it could feel as though your world is turned upside down.. It`s likely crucial that you link up with others in similar position, and focus on having your collective voice heard.

Capricorn
Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Usually, youve a stunning ability to cleverly sidestep uncertain situations and to organise flexible arrangements is an asset; but now the foundation on which plans are based is shifting, which is as unsettling as it is worrying. Yet, bizarrely, youre intrigued by the sense of the unexpected, if not breakthroughs, that comes with this. You should be. Changes will be as dramatic as they are welcome.

Life has its ups and downs and it might seem that just when the going is good, something happens to knock you down again. You can and will get through this. Someone whose friendship youve always valued seems insensitive to your feelings. This change in their behaviour is unsettling. Youve been through a lot recently and you would expect a close friend or partner to understand. It may be that you havent actually been considering their feelings. Its time to have a heart to heart.

Midweek, Mercury returns to Libra as Venus enters that sign. Remember that Mercury is retrograde. This area of your solar chart covers your long-term aims and objectives. You could view this as brackets being put into your career area. There is high probability that there is much going on behind-the-scenes and that you cant know exactly what for a few days yet. Yet your opinion could be sought! - even though you dont have all the facts. The Halloween Full Moon aligns with Uranus – planet of the unexpected. Disruptive change is more than likely. A strong possibility is that someone who is actually not up to the job will be displaced, or choose suddenly to back out of a project. Whatever, it would be as well to be prepared for emergency action. Your expertise will doubtless be invaluable, but your workload potentially huge. It may be that from early next week building a new team takes priority.

Aquarius
Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

Your flexibility is widely envied. However, this period of abrupt and dramatic change is forcing you to realise just how much of a creature of habit you are; and to do something about it. Making the best of the current shake-ups involves embracing new ways of living, working, loving or, possibly, thinking. Dramatic as this sounds, these changes have been on your mind for ages.

You dont have time for anything but work and social responsibilities. If you keep this up, it will take a toll on your health. If youre starting to feel anxious about carrying out tasks or fitting in new commitments, its time to explain you cant take on anymore. Practicing relaxation techniques can be therapeutic. Are you single? There is someone you cant wait to see again. Youve never felt like this before and when experiencing something for the first time, it can be exciting and a tad scary too.

This could prove one crazy, crazy week. It concludes with the Full Moon that aligns with Uranus – one of your moving planets – and the one that has a reputation for shocks and surprises. Developments could come thick and fast midweek when retrograde Mercury returns to Libra, just as Venus arrives in that sign. Recall that Libra is one of the Air signs and accents an area of your solar chart associated with the acquisition of expertise. Mentally you could be super-challenged. The Full Moon suggests a shakeup in your working and domestic environment. It may be necessary to clear more space to work from home. You might also want to think about how you present information. A further possibility is hosting a work event at or from home where again you have to think carefully about the image you present. At a different level entirely, you might also be asked to hold information that is not exactly secret, but which you sense if made widely known, could create panic. With a strongly political wave in the air over the weekend, you could also find your beliefs and positions challenged.

Pisces
Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Usually youve a powerful instinct about what will work and what wont. However, acknowledging the issue and, where necessary, backing away from increasingly tricky existing arrangements can be difficult, especially if youre worried certain individuals will struggle. The irony is, their errors or lack of effort is the reason for those problems. Firmly but politely ignore others excuses and demand things be done right, and now.

Misunderstandings cause tension in close relationships. You may have to sharpen your listening skills. Pay better attention to what is being said during an online conference. You dont want to misinterpret someones words or lose out on a great opportunity through not paying attention. Are you single? Romance is set to bloom as you are introduced to someone in the workplace. Theres nothing like working together to get to know each others strengths and weaknesses.

All signs could find this a chaotic time. Ideas may be thrown this way and that and many people chasing their tails dealing with unusual emergencies. The lead into Saturday`s Full Moon that aligns with Uranus (planet of the unexpected) contains retrograde Mercury returning to Libra, just as Venus arrives in that sign, suggests turbulence. As you know, yours is considered the last sign of the Zodiac and in many ways, it seems that Pisces people are left to mop up the chaos that others create. You may find that you are doing precisely that this week, and against the background of dealing with crises of your own. These could take the form of travel challenge. In order to be where you want to be, you might need support that fades away at the last minute. Having plenty of plan Bs to put into operation will doubtless be essential. Note too, that this week you should take special care to read small print. If making purchases, ensure you get guarantees. In short, the cosmic weather looks stormy and focus should be on ensuring that life-boats are in good working order.
