Light A Candle Today!
In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

September 7 – 13, 2020.
Monday should be rather calm. Spend some time enjoying the close of summer. Treat yourself to something that’ll put a big smile on your face. Tuesday and during the day on Wednesday, the Sun is smiling down on us. An incredibly positive and uplifting optimistic spirit is in the air. Later on Wednesday, Mars turns retrograde in Aries and this can be quite a downer. Mars retrograde slows down our ability to act and to use the force of our will to get what we want. This weekend, the Sun opposes Neptune leaving us feeling further drained and confused. It’s best to avoid untrustworthy people and don’t take anything at face value. Do your due diligence.

The 2020 roller coaster comes back with its third act (there are four if you are counting), and the month of September not only features Virgo Season but one of the most difficult energies of the year. So, if you thought that 2020 has been a rocky ride, there is more to come.
Card of the Week: Ten of Wands
This week the Ten of Wands notes that you are taking on an extra burden, a heavier workload, or greater responsibility.
Even though it is weighing you down and making things tougher for you, you understand it is only temporary, so you are willing to put in the hard work now to accomplish your goal and reap the rewards later.
Sometimes, the Ten of Wands appears when you are unconsciously taking on extra responsibility and finding yourself feeling weighed down, exhausted and burnt out. You may try to do everything at once, even though you know it is adding extra pressure to your daily life.
Stop and examine your current lifestyle or work. Assess which activities or tasks are urgent or important. Your goal needs to be higher efficiency while also freeing yourself up for rest and relaxation when you need it.
The good news is that the Tens in Tarot represent the completion of a cycle, and with the Ten of Wands, the end is in sight!
Ask the Tarot: What tasks and activities can you delegate or eliminate?
Heartwings Love Notes 947 Local Peaches are a Taste of Heaven
Heartwings says, “Peaches are sumptuously delicious however you use them.”
Some time ago when I had my spiral garden, I used to plant shrubs there as well as flowering perennials, annuals and herbs. One year I bought a shrub labeled (I thought) White Forsythia. For several years it grew hardly at all, so finally I transplanted it, thinking it might do better in another part of the garden. The following year it shot up like a weed and produced pink flowers. So much, I thought, for White Forsythia. It must be some other kind of shrub.
One day as we walked in my spiral garden, a friend pointed to my “shrub” and said “Oh, you have a peach tree.” Surprised, I looked where she was pointing and sure enough, there were fuzzy little green fruits suspended from the branches. Unbeknownst to me, I had a peach tree growing in my garden. In the following years I enjoyed my peach tree very much and often used its fruit in a variety of ways.
Now I don’t have that garden, however I still love local peaches, though do no more than peel, cut them up and eat them plain with cream and honey, or over a pudding or ice cream. I remember my mother cutting peaches into canning jars, pouring boiled sugar syrup over them, and lowering the jars into a big kettle of boiling water. Stored in the basement pantry closet, how good those peaches tasted during the long winters of my childhood. What a treat, especially served for Sunday dinner over vanilla ice cream.
Each summer I buy local peaches from a nearby farm stand. Ripened on their tree, they taste like heaven, and I understand why the Chinese might have considered them the fruit of immortality. They are often prominent in images of the sage Lao Tzu. There is also a legend that a famous Chinese heroine Ho Hsien-Ku, who lived in 7th century BC was transformed into a fairy by eating a supernatural peach. It was said that thereafter she lived on a diet of moonbeams and powdered mother-of-pearl. As for me, I would be content with local peaches, ripened on their tree in the summer sun.
May you enjoy your local peaches while they last.
Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert

Pose With A Nose For Animals For Wetnose Day – 18 Sept 2020
“Wetnose Day for animal’s is a lovely idea, yes we definitely need more help and support with wildlife and hedgehogs rescues, so yes I’ll support Wetnose Day by wearing a Nose for a Pose”!
Sadly it is extremely difficult for the animal sanctuary owners all over the UK who have dedicated their lives caring for abused and abandoned animals of all shapes and sizes. With an influx of now unwanted animals as well as financial difficulties animal rescue centres and sanctuaries need our support more than ever.
We are encouraging people all over the UK to “pose with a nose” for Wetnose Day on 18th September as well as fund-raise if they possibly can. Noses cost just £5 and all funds go to Wetnose Animal Aid to distribute to sanctuaries across the UK.
I know we don’t have much time however I was hoping you may be able to share online or on your social media to help us spread the word?
Wetnose Animal Aid distributes funds to amazing sanctuaries perhaps to pay a vet bill or animal feed bill and this can take the pressure off the people running the sanctuaries – even for a little while.
And we would love to send you and the team some noses to pose with as well!
If this appeals please let me know how many noses and the best address to post them to. Remember to #Posewithanose for #WetnoseDay!
You can see the incredible celebrities that have supported us here: https://wetnoseanimalaid.com/celebrity-support/ – including Tom Hardy and Paul McCartney.

Abbots Bromley Horn Dance
By Tess Whitehurst
Today in the English town of Abbots Bromley, folk dancers will hold thousand-year-old reindeer horns and dance the oldest-known dance in Britain: the Abbots Bromley Horn Dance. While no one knows exactly how old the dance really is, carbon dating from one of the horns suggests it’s been practiced every year since 1050 CE. Locals believe the dance was performed (traditionally by men) to bless the land and promote abundant crops.
Take a cue from this unbroken pagan custom and dance your own blessing dance today. Put on some music that helps you feel connected to your pagan ancestors (we all have them!) and the earth. Light some earthy incense or diffuse an earthy fragrance. If you have horns available (real or costume), wear them or hold them near your head. Then dance the perimeter of your space, inside or out, as you consciously honor your own wildness and the aliveness of the earth.
Witch’s Bath for Renewal
By Devin Hunter
There is a lot of earth energy in the world today, but not quite the grounded type of earth energy that we are used to. Today is more about the transformational and regenerative properties of earth. Cast this spell to harness the energy of renewal.
To a warm bath, add the following:
- 2 cups sea salt
- 13 drops each of lavender, patchouli, and grapefruit essential oils
- ½ cup dried milk
Swirl the ingredients together in a clockwise motion using your hand, and say:
Powers of the earth that rise,
bless this water and make it wise.
Bring renewal and clarity,
bring strength and sincerity.
With these words, I make it so,
by these elements, the spell will flow!
If you don’t have a bathtub, mix the ingredients in a white bowl with warm water, then pour that over yourself in the shower. Be sure to avoid getting any in your eyes.
Back to School Charm
By Kate Freuler
Making new friends can be tough, especially for young kids just starting school. Here is a charm I made for my daughter on her first day to attract friendships and fun in an unfamiliar classroom.
Gather these materials:
- Colorful beads shaped like hearts or other friendship symbols
- Thin cord for stringing
Hold all the beads in your hands and visualize your child surrounded by other children, laughing and playing. Imagine your child having a great time at school and feeling happiness as they connect with other kids. See the beads glowing with a pink aura.
String the beads on the cord, continuing to visualize, until it is about five inches long. Tie the ends together, creating a circle of good vibes. Tie this securely to the zipper on your child’s school bag.
Should the string get broken accidentally, not to worry—it will release friendly energy!
By Barbara Ardinger
The Akwambo festival, which is celebrated in Ghana in early September, is an occasion when paths to streams, shrines, and holy places are swept. I think it’s disrespectful when New Agers and Neopagans read about a ritual that sounds interesting and just pick it up and celebrate it however they want. Doing this is taking a ritual—and a belief system—entirely out of its proper context. But we’re all guilty of this, aren’t we?
While the idea of path cleaning and giving thanks to our ancestors is a good one, let’s not engage in cultural piracy. We can do our own kind of path cleaning! Give thanks to your ancestors (and neighbors) that you have a path, both literal and metaphorical, to walk. When you walk, carry a trash bag and pick up some trash. At home, neaten up your sidewalk or front yard as you give thanks to Hygeia and Hestia.
An Apple Spell
By Charlie Rainbow Wolf
In many areas this is the time for harvesting autumn foods. Apples frequently appear in folklore, and for many reasons. In this spell, we’re going to use an apple to welcome deities into your life. You’ll need an apple, a knife, a bowl of water, a tablespoon of lemon juice, and a nail or hook.
Peel the apple, trying to keep the peel in one long strip. When the apple is peeled, plunge it in a bowl of water to which you’ve added the lemon juice. Set the peel to one side. Quarter the apple and take out the seeds.
Eat the apple, then place the seeds outside the main door of your home, alongside the path or next to the step. Hang the peel up over your door. Let your thoughts reinforce this spell by believing that you’re safe, secure, and held in the arms of the Goddess.
An Aster Love Spell
By James Kambos
In September, asters reach their peak. They are an old favorite to use in love spells. For this spell, you’ll need the petals from one purple aster. You can find asters easily at a florist. You’ll also need a red candle in a holder, a square piece of burgundy fabric, and a red ribbon.
Place the petals on the fabric and tie up the corners with the ribbon. Light the candle and hold the bundle as you speak these words of power:
This candle I light of brightest red,
Bring me one who’ll woo my
heart and turn my head.
Aster, flower of love, I wrap
in cloth the color of wine,
Bring me the one who’ll be mine.
Let the candle burn down for a while, and hide the bundle.
After the spell works, scatter the petals upon the earth. Keep the candle and fabric as keepsakes, but don’t use them for magic again.
9 Powerful Crystals for Anxiety
By Andrew Pacholyk, Ms, L.Ac
If we cannot change the situation that is the focus of our anxiety, we must determine a way of changing the way we handle (see) the problem. Here are helpful crystals for anxiety.
Crystals for Anxiety
We all have fears and worries but when they begin to dominate our life and our behavior and become the focal point in which everything revolves, that’s anxiety. Many factors can contribute; trauma, chemical sensitivity, caffeine, heredity, drugs, alcohol, lifestyle choices. If you cannot change the situation that is the focus of anxiety, try to determine a way of trying to change your way of handling the problem. Relaxation of the mind and body and stress reduction are key.
Anxiety is often vague and undirected, a sinking feeling that something terrible is about to happen. Unlike concrete fears (of illness or losing a job, for example), anxiety often stems from what used to be called borrowed trouble. Anxious people imagine worst-case scenarios and spend lots of time dreading things that may never happen. For persistent anxiety, seek professional counseling. But the natural remedies can help tremendously.
Anxiety disorders are possibly the most common and frequently occurring disorders of the mind/body. They include a group of conditions that share extreme anxiety as the principal disturbance of mood or emotional tone. Anxiety, which may be understood as the pathological counterpart of normal fear, is manifest by disturbances of mood, as well as of thinking, behavior and physiological activity.
These gems offer insight and level-headedness that is appropriate for becoming more aware. When we get anxious, we feel fearful as our minds and judgment become cloudy. Our anxious thoughts become the focal point in which everything else revolves. Therefore, we are giving away our power! Many of us remain a victim to our anxieties and fears all of our lives. In essence, if we cannot change the situation that is the focus of our anxiety, we must determine a way of changing the way we handle (see) the problem. Here are helpful crystals for anxiety:

We all have bad days and within these days is usually a gem of a gift waiting to be opened.
We all have days from time to time when it feels like the world is against us or that the chaos we are experiencing will never end. One negative circumstance seems to lead to another. You may wonder, on a bad day, whether anything in your life will ever go right again. But a bad day, like any other day, can be a gift. Having a bad day can show you that it is time to slow down, change course, or lighten up. A bad day can help you glean wisdom you might otherwise have overlooked or discounted. Bad days can certainly cause you to experience uncomfortable feelings you would prefer to avoid, yet a bad day may also give you a potent means to learn about yourself.
You may consider a bad day to be one where you’ve missing an important meeting because your car stalled, the dryer broke, and you received a piece of very bad news earlier in the morning. Multiple misfortunes that take place one after the other can leave us feeling vulnerable and intensely cognizant of our fragility. But bad days can only have a long-term negative effect on us if we let them. It is better to ask yourself what you can learn from these kinds of days. The state of your bad day may be an indicator that you need to stay in and hibernate or let go of your growing negativity.
Bad days contribute to the people we become. Though we may feel discouraged and distressed on our bad days, a bad day can teach us patience and perseverance. It is important to remember that your attitude drives your destiny and that one negative experience does not have to be the beginning of an ongoing stroke of bad luck. A bad day is memorable because it is one day among many good days — otherwise, we wouldn’t even bother to acknowledge it as a bad day. Know too, that everybody has bad days, you are not alone, the world is not against you. Tomorrow is guaranteed to be a brighter day.
Why Are Dolls So Likely to Be Haunted?
By Rosemary Ellen Guiley Read
Dolls are one of the most likely objects to become haunted. Why is this?
Dolls that have human forms are ideal vessels for residual energy and spirits. Owners, whether adult or child, often form strong emotional bonds to dolls—they become human substitutes.
If something tragic happens to the owner, or if the owner suffers intense unhappy and negative feelings, the bad energy can be transferred to the doll. This energy is residual, but if it is strong enough, it can take on a thought-form presence as a “bad” personality of the doll.
Residual energy can be dormant for long periods of time, but if the doll goes to a new home and owner, and the place and person have the right energy, the residual personality can become activated and cause phenomena in the new house.
There are other ways that dolls can become haunted. Spirits can be attracted to dolls and take up residence in them. They may be attracted by the doll’s owner, by the residual energy lodged in the doll, or other unknown factors. Spirits can range from low-level tricksters to more hostile and powerful entities.
They, too, can be dormant until activated by the right circumstanes.
In some cases, the spirit might be the earthbound soul of a person, someone who has not made a full transition to the afterlife. An example is a doll owner who dies suddently and tragically and for various reasons does not cross over because they were lost, confused, or hanging on to unfinished business.
Dolls can also become haunted if they are deliberately used in spirit summoning and spellcasting work. In such cases, spirits are invited to inhabit the dolls.
Removing the doll from the premises alleviates the haunting phenomena in the house in most cases. Sometimes binding spells must be performed on dolls to keep pesky spirits from getting loose and causing havoc.
Earthbound souls need to be helped to the afterlife. If a doll becomes attached due to a spirit attachment to a person, then that becomes an entirely different issue that must be addressed accordingly.

You Are Beautiful!
By Madisyn Taylor
Many of us do not take the time to notice and acknowledge how beautiful we are as humans.
Many of us do not take the time to notice and acknowledge how beautiful we are as humans. We may be great lovers of beauty, seeing it in the people, places, and things around us, while completely missing it in ourselves. Some of us feel that it is vain to consider our appearance too much, or we may find that when we look at ourselves, all we see are imperfections. Often we come to the mirror with expectations and preconceived notions about beauty that blind us from seeing ourselves clearly. As a result, we miss the beauty that is closest to us, the beauty we are. Sometimes we see our beauty in a shallow way, noticing how well we are conforming to social norms, but failing to see the deeper beauty that shines out from within and that will continue to shine regardless of how we measure up to society’s ideal.
If we can cut through all these obstacles and simply appreciate how beautiful we are, we free up so much energy. We also become less dependent upon the opinions and feedback of others since we become our own greatest admirers. Many of us know that after a great yoga practice or a long, deep meditation, we are more able to see how beautiful we are. This is because we have released some of our baggage, thus unburdening ourselves and summoning forth the spirit that dwells within us. It is the heady combination of the divine spirit and the human body that conveys beauty more accurately than anything else.
To keep ourselves in touch with our own beauty, we can surround ourselves with images that reflect our beauty back to us–photos of a relative or child who has our eyes, images of teachers who embody spirit, or self-portraits that capture our essence in a way that allows us to see ourselves anew. The best way to keep ourselves in touch with our own beauty is to keep looking deeply into our own souls and opening our eyes to the human being we see in the mirror every day.
Gilberto’s Engagement Party
by Stephen Halpert
Gilberto’s bedside clock read 5:30. Much of Boston was asleep. A door opened and closed. Moments later Joey stood in the bedroom doorway. “Gilberto are you up yet?” he asked. You said we have to be at the hotel for the parry at 6:30 …”
Maria yawned and snuggled closer to Gilberto. She kissed him softly. Then she rubbed her eyes and blinked at Joey. “Why are you wearing the tuxedo Gilberto rented for you?”
Joey looked crestfallen. “Don’t we have to leave for the party? Gilberto said five thirty.”
“Joey,” Maria said “Yes, 5:30 in the afternoon! Put your pajamas back on and go back to bed. We won’t be leaving for more than ten hours.”
Joey frowned. “I thought …” He turned and started back down the hall.
“Close the door please, and go back to bed. ” Maria said.
Twelve hours later in the function room at the hotel a jubilant Ramon rushed over to Gilberto. “He’s here! Our giant flew in from Caracas.”
“Karibe,” Gilberto exclaimed. “My goalie!” He and Ramon embraced the seven-foot giant with hands the size of small steam shovels.
The men hugged. Gilberto looked up at his friend. “I’ll never forget those amazing saves you made that won the World Cup three times. It’s so good to see you. I’m so glad you came.”
Karibe grinned. “Well, in addition to helping you celebrate,” he said, “I had a hunch maybe I’d meet a special lady. I’m here for a few days and we need to talk.”
Ramon grinned. “Then you must meet Lola, my sister-in-law.” He pointed out a woman standing by the piano.
“You mean in the one in the silky black dress?” Karibe grinned and started toward her.
Gilberto stopped him as Maria came over. “Wait, he said, “this is Maria. She’s my everything, an angel sent by God”
Karibe smiled politely and nodded. “Pleased to meet you. I’m in town for a few days. I’d say more, but I must go speak with that woman by the piano. But let’s all do lunch before I fly home.” He headed over to her and introduced himself.
He liked what he saw: a tight, low cut silky dress, red high heels, face perfectly tanned, her black, thick hair tied back.
She smiled at him. “My, you’re tall, are you a friend of Gilberto?”
He smiled back broadly. “I’m Karibe, his goalie. We won the World Cup three times. Can I buy you drink?”
She lowered her eyelids and flashed him a big smile. “No, but you can get one for me. It’s an open bar.” She put her hand on his forearm. “My, you have muscles on your muscles,” she giggled. “I haven’t met a man like you before…”
“Then it’s time you did,” he laughed. The music started. “Shall we dance?” Their bodies merged. Two became one in a swirling graceful motion. Karibe twirled her under his arm. “Come with me to Caracas. You’ll have a wonderful vacation.”
She smiled up at him. “I’m tempted. But you’re wife?”
“Which one?” Karibe chortled One’s in Paris, the other London. They guzzle their alimony but lead their own lives. I’m here for a few days. Let’s spend them together.”
From across the room, Gilberto watched his friend and hoped he knew what he was getting into.
Meanwhile Gilberto noticed his future mother-in-law, Alicia was going on with another guest about crochet. “It’s magical,” Alicia said. “Once you trust your fingers to pick up speed and move correctly it becomes an art form.”
Gilberto’s boss clapped him on his back. “Here read this later,” he said handing him a long envelope. “I’m so glad you’re well and back on your feet.”
Gilberto smiled and pointed at Maria. “She’s my angel. Without her…” He looked around for Maria. He finally spotted her talking with Edwardo. She looked determined. He moved closer so he could hear what they were saying.
“You will at some point marry?” Edwardo said.
She sighed. “You know how I feel.”
“It is not as much for you as it is for us. Your mother and I deserve to sit in church knowing our daughter is not living in sin.”
Maria frowned. “I’m sorry if that’s how you feel. To me, it’s me holding my own against the patriarchy.”
Gilberto felt a little sad. He wanted her as his wife, but knew he had to be patient.
Edwardo peered at her, crossed his arms. “What’s that some Vegas mob?”
She smirked. “Yes, papa some kind of mob indeed.”
“Your mother and I deserve legitimate grandchildren.”
Maria embraced him. “Oh Papa, I love you.” She hugged him and felt again that familiar warmth from her childhood.
“Ok,” she sighed. “We will. We will. Sooner or later, and that’s all I can give you.”
Edwardo shook his head and sighed. “How could two people like your mother and I have ended up with a daughter like you?”
She smiled. “Just lucky I guess.”
He sighed and went to tell Alicia what Maria had said.
Gilberto saw Lola leave Karibe and he went over to his friend.
“Thanks for the invite,” Karibe said. “I’ve found a new traveling companion.”
“Are you really taking her with you?” Gilberto said.
“Oh, yes,” his eyes twinkled. “That woman is a Goddess of Love. No doubt about it. She’ll keep me dancing well into my nineties.”
Gilberto clapped him on his back. “Enjoy, my friend, enjoy.”
Lola took Rosa aside. “I’m going to Caracas with Karibe.”
Rosa’s eyebrows flew up. “Really? But you just met.”
“Love at first sight,” Lola said. “That’s the only way it can be for me.” Rosa nodded. “And my yoga class can still meet at your condo?”
“Sure,” Lola said. “I figure a month or so or a lifetime. But Rosa he’s so adorable, and big.” She giggled.
Rosa wondered how long it would be before she returned. With her sister, there was no knowing what she might do.
Gilberto noticed Joey and Ramon’s two daughters sitting devouring a plate of shrimp and thick slices of chocolate cake. The three were drinking Shirley Temples and giggling. His face brightened as Gilberto came over.
Joey smiled. “I had seven Shirley Temples and danced with Grandma and mom.”
“And lots of shrimp, I see.”
Gilberto patted him on his back and reached down to give him a hug. “Good for you, son. Just brush your teeth real good tonight, little buddy.”
Standing with Maria, Alicia smiled. “He’s a good father for the boy. You’re fortunate.”

This week Mars goes retrograde in Aries. The last time this happened was in 1988 just before the Berlin Wall came down, and all the records from the secret police (the Stasi) were made public. It’s interesting that as Mars once again goes retrograde in Aries, the New York Times reports that “troves” of information about the complaints about the NY police are now public information for the first time online. Coincidence? (Deep Russian voice: “I think not puppy dog.”) I suspect we will see more “secret” info being revealed. (I only hope this doesn’t include the whereabouts of my salacious secret diary that is hidden on the top shelf of my bedroom closet.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Your ruler fiery Mars has been in your sign since the end of June and will stay there until early January 2021. Mostly, this makes you feel invigorated, physically energetic, aggressive and proactive! However, this week, Mars goes retrograde until November 13. (Its shadow period began around July 25 and lasts until Jan 2.) This means your strong, aggressive energy is waning. (“I’m melting! I’m melting!”) You feel less like initiating new things. In fact, you will have less enthusiasm about getting things done! You will also be at odds with authority figures and the government. Don’t push blindly forward. Look for a win-win solution. Slow down and take it easy. Reconnoiter your scene. (You’re no fool.)
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
It’s been a mixed bag. On one hand, you want to party, play and enjoy vacations. You also enjoy sports and fun activities with kids. You want to fix up your digs and make where you live more attractive. However, Mars has been hiding in your chart, which can trigger childish impulses that make you your own worst enemy. This week Mars goes retrograde. For the next few months, you will feel frustrated because your freedom of action is hampered. You know what you want to do, but you can’t do it. If you can’t change your situation, accept it and don’t feel resentful. Or, you could choose to not accept it and simmer in resentment. Hey, make the smart choice. It is what it is.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Home, family and your private life are your primary focus. Fortunately, fair Venus in your House of Communications makes you charming and diplomatic with everyone! Your ruler Mercury has just entered a playful part of your chart, which means you will enjoy mental games, puzzles, pranks and teasing. However, this week, Mars goes retrograde in the part of your chart that relates to friends and groups. This might make you doubt your interaction with a friend. You might question the friendship? Or, you might question your involvement with a group. (“Are these my people?”) You might question your goals for the future? By the beginning of the new year, you will have clarity in these issues. Whew!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Your busy pace continues. Short trips, errands, conversations with others plus increased reading and writing give you a full schedule. Family conversations as well as home repairs are also on your plate. Fortunately, you might attract money to you so that you can push forward with these plans. Previously, your ambition was aroused. You were gung-ho to do certain things. You felt confident! But now, your confidence is a tad shaky. You’re worried about biting off more than you can chew or perhaps initiating something that ultimately might be a headache. Oy! This makes you cautious. Caution is okay. In fact, caution is wise. Remember that if you reverse your goals, a retreat becomes an advance. (Just sayin’.)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This increased energy coming from fiery Mars in Aries has been great for you! This enthusiasm, especially for travel, study, publishing, medicine, the law and learning new things has been stimulating! Many of you have been reaching out to learn more about the world. It’s been fun and enlightening! However, now your enthusiasm to pursue study, publishing and issues related to medicine and the law is lessening. You feel lazy. Hey, don’t beat yourself up about this. Whatever it is you were doing, do less but continue to do it regularly. Rely on routine to help you. We are creatures of habit. Do less. Even a small amount. But keep doing it. (A Leo must always stay performance ready.)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Naturally, you’re energized with the Sun in your sign; plus, this is a wonderful chance for you to recharge your batteries for the rest of year. Secret love affairs and flirtations might take place. Others will explore moneymaking ideas or take better care of possessions. So far so good. Now that Mars is retrograde, you might feel a bit defeated when dealing with disputes about inheritances or shared property. You might question yourself about fighting for your share. “Is this really worth it?” Even your sexual energy might be down. If you’re dealing with someone powerful who is intimidating, you might feel as if you’re already defeated. This is a temporary glitch! By January, things look different!
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Right now retrograde Mars action is occurring directly opposite your sign. This means it is “going backwards” in your House of Partnerships and close friendships, which is where you are really feeling the old squeeze play. You might doubt your partnership. You might wonder why you are with this person? You might think it’s a mistake. You might think, “I have to get away from this person for a while, we need some time apart.” You might rage and yell at this person. (Could be anything.) But you are in charge of your actions and your words, aren’t you? Of course, you are. So how you react to this situation is your choice. You can be right, or you can be in the relationship. What’s it gonna be? By January you see the truth.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You have enjoyed schmoozing with friends and participating with groups. Relations with parents and bosses have been good. You also have the energy to research and work behind the scenes to accomplish what you want. Up until the last few weeks, you had lots of energy to work on your behalf and behalf of others. But that energy is fading! Your motivation is fading! Your eagerness to get things done is fading! Relax. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Pull in your agenda. Decide to do less. It’s okay! Give yourself permission to be happy about taking baby steps. Approach what you do with tiny increments. Tiny, tiny. The secret is not to stop. Just keep on truckin’.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
The Sun at the top of your chart is still shining a flattering light on you, which makes everyone thinks you’re the best. (You might be given increased responsibilities because of this.) Meanwhile, travel for pleasure and a chance to enjoy warm relations with people from other cultures favour you. You might have increased involvement with younger friends or groups. However, retrograde Mars will create stress for parents dealing with their kids. Likewise, lovers’ quarrels will increase and become nasty. You might question why you are in this relationship? Why are you with this person? By January, you will have clarification. Don’t do anything you will later regret.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Despite the challenges that you face, many areas of your life are running smoothly. Your ability to talk to parents and bosses is strong. Partners, the government and other sources are supportive with aid, money and practical assistance. Nevertheless, your domestic life and your private world are challenging! Something to do with where you live is topsy-turvy! Increased activity and chaos make it hard to run things as smoothly as they once did. This might be due to visiting guests, renovations, accidents, residential moves – something. Avoid arguments and sharp words with family. Be understanding and patient. You value family. Patience is the antidote to anger.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
With Venus opposite your sign this week, you will enjoy warm relations with partners and close friends. You might explore future travel plans and study more. You might also finish important papers, books or manuscripts. However, your Achilles’ heel will be dealing with daily contacts plus neighbours, siblings and relatives. You are opinionated. You are intelligent. Basically, you want to make the world a better place. In these uncertain times, you will argue with others because their way of thinking frustrates you. Yelling doesn’t make people hear you better. Stay calm for your own peace of mind and for those around you. You need your critical faculties to be sharp, not clouded with anger.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
You face some challenges. You’re tired. (Recognize your need for more sleep and get more rest. Do yourself this favour.) Fortunately, things are going well with coworkers. You might get a raise or at least, praise for your efforts. Meanwhile, as retrograde Mars travels through your House of Earnings. you might fear a slump in your earnings. You might question how you make money? You might become disillusioned in your job? You might question your possessions and everything that you own because you’re confused about your values. Fear not, by January, you will have clarity about what you want and what you value. Relax. Be kind to yourself and others.
