Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

August 31 – September 6, 2020

We’ve got a Full Moon with a side of Virgo Sun trine Uranus influencing us so expect the unexpected. This includes sudden insights along with unplanned changes. Self-improvement happens only when we go within to find our answers. Conversations will be deep, intense, and soulful but by the end of the week, we shift to being super nice and diplomatic. This is only because Mercury aligns with Libra. Take advantage of this alignment and jump on for excellent bargaining and negotiation skills. Taking a step back, on Wednesday Venus is in a bad mood because of her relationship with Saturn and Mars. You’ll feel it in your pocketbook and in your relationships. This is not the time to make forever plans. Be patient because on Sunday Venus dances with Leo and is more agreeable. Joy and generosity is the moon of the day. Coventry candles for this week are Blessed Herbal Inner Balance and Emotional Balance.

Full Moon in Pisces September 2, 2020

If ever the moon was aligned for deep introspection it is this Pisces Full Moon. Not only is the Pisces moon calling us to induce a trance-like state of mind, but she also wants us to escape harsh realities and take a break. Unfortunately, this makes our emotions vulnerable to manipulation and gaslighting.

You are so amazing you deserve a hype man.
When you are this good, it’s time to sing your praises.

Everyone has their specialty, their superpower as it were. Especially right now with how much the world is catawampus, we have all tapped in inner power and honed it to forward our survival in body, mind, and spirit.

Natural Witchcraft Course with GrannyMoon!

We are drawn to the music, the drum beat…the heartbeat of the Earth…our Mother. We converge together and wonder…what is this thing? What is this calling? We feel the stirrings.

We seek her healing. We honor Her. She calls us.

People draw together to dance to this music and to break bread. Some of these people of like mind make communities or covens, where they can Feast and be together in song and ritual. But there are the others…the natural witches, those that find and use their own natural powers and knowledge. They seek only their own countenance. There is no dogma, no rules, only your own, however, there is training from those that have gone before.

Natural Witchcraft is a structured course and requires the purchase of one textbook! You may buy it on Kindle, new, used or you may already have it!

Biddy Tarot

The card drawn for this week is the Five of Cups.

Did things not go as expected?

The Five of Cups often appears when a situation hasn’t turned out the way you expected, and you are sad, regretful, and disappointed.

Instead of moving on, you are choosing to wallow in your self-pity. All you can focus on right now is what went wrong and how you failed.

This is a gentle nudge that it’s time to get over it! Allow yourself to feel the feels, but set a time limit for your self-pity and then pull yourself together and move on.

The negative emotions you feel are holding you back from your fullest potential. Release them so you can move on and create positive change.

Forgiveness is vital now for yourself and others. If someone has disappointed you, find it within your heart to forgive that person, releasing yourself from the disappointment.

Shift your mindset and focus on what can go right from this point onwards.

Ask the Tarot: What can I learn from my mistakes?

Heartwings Love Notes 946: Letting Go Can Be Hard

Heartwings says, “The past remains in memory, not in reality.”

Since we can only be alive in the present, dwelling on or in the past takes away from our present moments and keep us from fully living them. One way we do that is when we argue about behavior and say, “You always do such-and-such when…” Doing so is dragging the past into the present. Furthermore, an argument that dwells on or in the past will not get anywhere, but will keep going around in circles. It is better to say something more direct and to the point concerning whatever is under discussion.

As a wise person once said, we cannot change the past, only our attitude toward it. When we accept the past as it is, we can move on from it. It is also true that when the memory is a sad or cruel on, we may well need to comfort and reassure ourselves that we came through it all right. I remember reading a story in one of Laurens Van Der Post’s books in which speaking of his experiences in a Japanese prison camp, he said, “Sometimes you have to go back and pat the memory on the head and say, ‘How are you doing, old fellow?'” Then we can turn our minds from the past hurt and focus on present happiness.

Often too, we need to forgive ourselves for something we feel guilty for having done. Doing that makes it easier to move on from any piece of the past we may have clung to. Perhaps there is something we can do for someone to make up for whatever we might have done that we feel guilty or sad about. We may need to be sure we feel good about ourselves to move on. Once we do, it is easier to remain focused in the present moment. If necessary, speaking with a therapist may be of help.

There are rituals that can be used to generate forgiveness. Hawaiian Huna has one called ho’oponopono. It can be found on the internet. Stephen and I have used this with good results. Even consciously focusing on forgiveness, repeating the words, “I forgive…” can do the trick. Moving on means letting go of the past. As we do that to the best of our ability, we generate a happier more fulfilling present and a future that promises to be filled with joy. Working on our own happiness can also result in more happiness for those around us, making for a win-win situation for all.

May you find ways to make your present happier as you allow past hurt to fade.

Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert

Chakra Rainbow Mala Prayer Beads

A Japa mala or mala beads are a string of prayer beads commonly used by Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains for the spiritual practice known in Sanskrit as Japa. It is usually made from 108 beads, relating to this sacred number. Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of God.

The Chakra Rainbow Japa Mala Prayer Beads feature all seven rainbow spectrum colors which correspond to each Chakra and feature Jasper, Carnelian, Citrine, Aventurine, Sodalite, Lapis Lazuli, Amethyst.

The Flower of Life symbol is believed to represent the cycle of creation. It depicts how all life comes from one singular source – represented by the circle in the middle of the pattern. There is believed to be a secret symbol hidden within the Flower of Life symbol, which is said to hold the most significant and sacred patterns of the universe.

It is believed to be a sort of blueprint for all life, with the fundamental patterns for everything from atoms to planets and everything in between.

Llewellyn’s Spell-A-Day

A Wish Bracelet Spell
By Thuri Calafia

Just for fun and whimsy, it’s great to make wish bracelets. But lest you think they can’t be powerful, think again! Magic is all about what you put into it; both clarity of intention and follow-through count.

For this spell, all you’ll need is some cotton embroidery thread in the three colors that best represent your wish. As you braid the threads together, visualize your wish as already manifested. Once the braid is finished, tie a knot at one-quarter the length, visualizing the first thing you will do to achieve your wish. Tie another knot at the halfway point, visualizing the second thing you will do. Repeat with a third knot at three-quarters the length, then tie the bracelet on your wrist (or ankle) with three more knots. Say:

By all the power of three times three,
my wish now manifests. So mote it be!

By the time the bracelet wears off naturally, your wish should be true.
Alchemical Mercury, Sulfur, And Salt
By Raven Digitalis

Western hermetic alchemical science has long acknowledged the elements of mercury, sulfur, and salt as the building blocks of life. Whether viewed physically or energetically, these elements are said to uphold all physical reality in varying degrees and combinations.

Light a black candle, a red candle, and a white candle in holders in front of you at dusk. Place the black one on your left, red in the middle, and white on your right.

On a small piece of paper, use red marker to write, I alchemize _ into _ , or one perceived negative into a perceived positive. For example, I alchemize fear into acceptance or I alchemize fatigue into alertness. Feel free to write as many affirmations as you wish.

Having cast your circle or called the powers that be, carefully burn the paper with a lick of each candle’s flame. Place its ashes on top of a small piece of tinfoil (representing mercury), and top it with a match (sulfur) and a sprinkle of salt. Crumple this all together. Declare your intentions and store the spell in a special secret place.
A Commitment Spell
By Charlie Rainbow Wolf

You don’t have to commit to another person to work this spell, although if you’re in a relationship and want to take it to the next level, it will strengthen your bond. This is a spell to work when you want to pledge yourself to a person, a project, or even just some new-school-year selfdiscipline. You’ll need a white candle in a holder, something to light it with, and a cabbage leaf.

As you light the candle, say:
By candlelight my work begins,
I’ll see it through until the end.
And by my soul I will not quit,
I’ll work hard and make the best of it.

Pinch out the candle and wrap it in the cabbage leaf. Repeat this spell nightly until the cabbage leaf becomes too decayed to use, then put the leaf outside to disintegrate or blow away or whatever the leaf wants to do. It doesn’t matter where you put it as long as it’s out in the elements (as opposed to throwing it away). Keep the candle safe until you need it for your next commitment spell.
Create Abundance
By Charlynn Walls

At this time of year, we see some of the first harvests coming in, including grains that were planted early in the spring. You can take some of that wheat and bake it into bread. There are many good recipes for quick breads that can be made by hand or with a bread machine. As you are baking the bread, think about bringing the blessings of abundance into your life. Vocalize the following:

As this bread rises throughout the
day, abundance shall come my way.

Share the bread with family and friends and spare a little as an offering to Thor on this Thursday. This will increase the spell’s impact, as it is a sympathetic gesture of creating abundance for others.
Goldenrod Bouquet
By Kate Freuler

Goldenrod is a common weed that is easily found along roadsides and in fields in late summer. Its bright golden top makes it perfect for money and luck spells, and it looks pretty too.

Gather a bundle of goldenrod, anywhere from five to ten stalks. Get a vase of an appropriate size and fill it with water. Find a sunny spot to sit in, and lay the goldenrod pieces in front of you.

Pick up one stalk of goldenrod and hold it in the sunlight. The sun is like a golden coin beaming prosperous energy down onto the stalk. State something you wish to obtain, then place the plant in the vase.

Keep your intentions specific and simple, such as “money for dance lessons” or “new school clothes.” Repeat this process for all your stalks of goldenrod, then place the bouquet near your front door. Once the flowers wither, dispose of them outside, sending your wishes into the universe.
To Gain Control of a Situation
By Devin Hunter

Life gets chaotic sometimes, but we don’t have to surrender to the chaos. In fact, sometimes to do so would be disastrous. Today, with the moon in Scorpio, we can use the astrological influences available to seize control in these moments.

To cast this spell, you will need a blue candle in a holder. Light the candle and gaze into the flame. Focus on your breathing and the moment of stillness and silence at the end of each breath. Visualize the light from the candle expanding to reach every aspect of your life, leaving nothing untouched. Say:

Light of Scorpio, hear my claim.
I take control with this flame!
Chaos and confusion no longer to
reign, control is mine to obtain!

When you feel a sense of peace wash over you, your job is done. Blow out the candle and repeat as necessary.
Harvest Something From Nature
By Michael Furie

From Lughnasadh at the beginning of the month, we have reached harvest time. Not all of us have gardens or seasonal crops that are dependent upon our ability to harvest the food they create. However, we can usually find something to harvest in a spot out in nature, even if only a public park.

Go to an area with plants and grass and find something to harvest. It could be something as simple as a clover and should not be anything that would be illegal to take. Whatever you are able to harvest, take it home and let it dry, perhaps pressing it in a book. Keep it for the rest of the year as a symbol of the great cycle of growth and decline and as a charm against famine.

Habitual Anger
By Madisyn Taylor

Anger can easily become our go-to emotion; to remedy, start noticing when and why you get angry.

Sometimes when we feel anger, it is coming from a deep place that demands acknowledgment and expression. At these times, it is important that we find healthy ways to honor our anger, remembering how dangerous it is to repress it. However, anger can also become a habit, our go-to emotion whenever things go wrong. Often this is because, for whatever reason, we feel more comfortable expressing anger than we do other emotions, like sadness. It can also be that getting angry gives us the impression that we’ve done something about our problem. In these cases, our habitual anger is inhibiting both our ability to express our other emotions and to take action in our lives.

If it’s true that anger is functioning this way in your life, the first thing you might want to try is to notice when you get angry. You might begin to see a pattern of some kind. For example, you could notice that it is always your first response or that it comes up a lot in one particular situation. If the pattern doesn’t become clear right away, you could try keeping a journal about when you get angry and see if you can find any underlying meaning. The good thing about keeping a journal is that you can explore your anger more deeply in it–from examining who in your family of origin expressed a lot of anger to how you feel when you encounter anger in others. This kind of awareness can be a formidable agent of transformation.

Anger can be a powerful ally, since it is filled with energy that we can harness and use to create change in the world. It is one of the most cathartic emotions, and it can also be a very effective cleanser of the emotional system. However, when it becomes a habit, it actually loses its power to transform and becomes an obstacle to growth. Identifying the role anger plays in your life and restoring it to its proper function can bring new energy and expansiveness to your emotional life.

Beware of Fake Lavender Essential Oils!

Ever since I made the commitment to really research essential oils, I’ve learned there’s a lot of information out there… and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. I’m feeling more confident about using essential oils in my life and so happy with my decision (after a LOT of digging) to use Young Living oils. But I now get a lot of questions from readers and friends who want to know: Does it really matter what essential oils you use?

You better believe it.

Let’s look at just one example to show WHY it matters.

Friends, meet the “Swiss army knife” of essential oils: Lavender. It’s one of the most commonly used oils… and with good reason. Lavender has a lot of uses.

Is your lavender essential oil fake? Learn why that could be really dangerous.

But did you know that Lavender essential oil is one of the most adulterated essential oils on the market? The healing benefits are lost when an oil is adulterated and sometimes can even be dangerous. Any time I make a recommendation for the use of lavender it is always and only for the Young Living brand! Rest assured when you purchase and use Young Living Lavender you are getting 100% pure, therapeutic grade oil.

Look for Lavandula
True Lavender ( Lavandula angustifolia) oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers. A burgeoning demand for lavender oil has created supply problems for many essential oil suppliers, and this has led to the widespread presence of adulterated and mislabeled lavender products in the marketplace.

The three types of adulteration most often seen: 1) lavender and lavandin oil spiked with synthetics, 2) lavandin sold as lavender oil and 3) lavender oil stretched with solvents. Lavandin ( L. x intermedia ), also known as Dutch lavender, is a sterile hybrid of L. angustifolia and L. latifolia (spike lavender). Lavandin oil is chemically different from lavender oil and is used in perfumery, crafting and in aromatherapy (although its aromatherapy benefits are different than lavender).

And did you know…
Adulterated or mislabeled essential oils present dangers for consumers:

“One woman purchased from a local health food store when she spilled boiling water on her arm. But the pain intensified and the burn worsened, so she later complained that lavender oil was worthless for healing burns. When her “lavender” oil was analyzed, it was found to be lavandin, the hybrid lavender that is chemically very different from pure Lavandula angustifolia.” – Life Science Essential Oil Pocket References, 5th Ed.

Faking Your Way To Happiness
~Andrew Weil, M.D.

Seeking happiness? All you may have to do is smile. Even a contrived smile will work, according to researchers at the University of South Australia. Lead investigator Fernando Marolejo-Ramos explains that “when your muscles say you’re happy, you’re more likely to see the world around you in a positive way.” He wrote that the muscle movements leading to a smile stimulate the amygdala – the part of our brain that allows us to feel emotions – by releasing neurotransmitters “to encourage an emotionally positive state.” He added that “if we can trick the brain into perceiving stimuli as ‘happy,’ then we can potentially use this mechanism to help boost mental health.” Other research has shown that smiling can increase levels of both dopamine, a hormone that enhances feelings of happiness, as well as serotonin, which is linked to reduced levels of stress.

Fernando Marmolejo-Ramos et al, “Your face and moves seem happier when I smile: Facial action influences the perception of emotional faces and biological motion stimuli.” Experimental Psychology,

Disapproving Faces
By Madisyn Taylor

Not everybody we meet will like us, and it is ok to move into acceptance rather than trying to make somebody like you.

It is not necessarily a pleasant experience, but there will be times in our lives when we come across people who do not like us. As we know, like attracts like, so usually when they don’t like us it is because they are not like us. Rather than taking it personally, we can let them be who they are, accepting that each of us is allowed to have different perspectives and opinions. When we give others that freedom, we claim it for ourselves as well, releasing ourselves from the need for their approval so we can devote our energy toward more rewarding pursuits.

While approval from others is a nice feeling, when we come to depend on it we may lose our way on our own path. There are those who will not like us no matter what we do, but that doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong with us. Each of us has our own filters built from our experiences over time. They may see in us something that is merely a projection of their understanding, but we have no control over the interpretations of others. The best we can do is to hope that the role we play in the script of their lives is helpful to them, and follow our own inner guidance with integrity.

As we reap the benefits of walking our perfect paths, we grow to appreciate the feeling of fully being ourselves. The need to have everyone like us will be replaced by the exhilaration of discovering that we are attracting like-minded individuals into our lives–people who like us because they understand and appreciate the truth of who we are. We free ourselves from trying to twist into shapes that will fit the spaces provided by others’ limited understanding and gain a new sense of freedom, allowing us to expand into becoming exactly who we’re meant to be. And in doing what we know to be right for us, we show others that they can do it too. Co-creating our lives with the universe and its energy of pure potential, we transcend limitations and empower ourselves to shine our unique light, fully and freely.

Gilberto’s Family Follies
by Stephen Halpert

He sighed. It seemed his future mother-in-law was far from pleased. He nodded and sighed again. “That’s my friend Ramon’s sister-in-law, Lola Cortez. She’s an interior decorator recently back from Switzerland. Before I met Maria, Lola and I had chatted about her redecorating the condo.”
Alicia pursed her lips. “She certainly seemed overly familiar.”
Gilberto nodded. “Oh, I guess. From what I’ve heard interior decorators are that way. They say it enables them to come up with the right color scheme.”
Alicia tossed her head. “Believe me I’ve known decorators, but I’ve never heard of anything like that before in my life.” She eyed Gilberto closely. I hope you aren’t going to employ her services.”
“No, of course not. Maria will be my interior decorator, and a very good one I am sure.”
Alicia sniffed. “I certainly hope so.”
Edwardo patted his future son-in-law on his shoulder. “Sometimes women who decorate can be insistently effusive,” he agreed. “I remember the one who ultimately redecorated my office.” He chuckled.
“Yes,” Gilberto nodded giving Edwardo his best man to man grin. They walked from the dining room to the hotel lobby chatting amiably.
Maria kissed Gilberto as they climbed into his car. “So, she’s the one who got away.”
Gilberto grinned. “She’s the one I got away from. The one who ran off to her dentist appointment on her way to Switzerland. It was over before it even began.” He waved to Joey who was talking with his grandparents. “Come on son, into the car. Later that night was when I saved Joey.”
“It was smart of you to say that to my mother,” Maria whispered, buckling up. “She would never have understood. I’m sure my father has had God knows how many affairs. But seemingly none ever devolved into scandal.”
Joey hugged his grandparents, waved goodnight and climbed into the back seat. He beamed at Gilberto and Maria. “Grandpa gave me ten dollars,” he boasted. “And that steak was so tender. And I had three Shirley Temples. Can we make them at home?” He yawned. “I’m so tired.”
“Not to forget to walk Oscar,” Gilberto said. “By now he must really need to go outside.”
Inside the condo a reluctantly Joey hitched up Oscar and they went out with the doorman watching.
“I feel so concerned,” Maria said. “I’m sorry I never told you about my brother Joe.” She tried to smile. “But you never told me about your first wife, so maybe that makes us even.”
Gilberto kissed her. “It was annulled the day after she eloped with me. Her parents had better plans for her than to be with what they called a soccer bum.”
“Is that what they thought of you?”
Gilberto nodded and half smiled. “She and her sister picked me up after practice and the three of us went to the beach. They both wanted to elope and marry me. Finally, Catrina said she would because she was the oldest. We found a Justice of the Peace, drank a lot a beer and went to sleep. The next morning her parents along with troopers took them both away. They had me sign a paper agreeing to stay away or else. That was that.”
“Maybe you were lucky.”
He nodded. “I never saw either sister again. Yes, I was lucky. I could have lost my soccer scholarship.”
Maria held him close, tears filled her eyes. “I wasn’t so lucky. Joe and I grew up together. As children we were inseparable. He was always physically very close to me, too close sometimes. When he told me, he was leaving for Miami he insisted I go with him.”
She sighed. “I said no. We had never argued that intensely, but I knew not give in. He got very drunk, pushed me around, tried to hit me. It was storming out, hurricane winds. He cursed me and ran down to the beach. That night he never came back. The next afternoon the police found his body and brought him home. They said he had drowned.”
Tears from long hidden memories dampened her cheeks. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. There’s always been a deep hurt in my heart. I feel so responsible.”
He embraced her and held her softly. “You did the right thing.”
“I know,” she said.
He stroked her shoulders and gently kissed her forehead.
“You are so kind and tender. I never want to hurt you or ever let go of you.”
“Even if decorators want my attention.”
She couldn’t help but grin. “Especially if decorators…” She pressed against him and stroked his cheek.
“By the way, I meant to ask you, does your mother work?”
“Oh yes, she knits and crochets. Makes everything and even teaches classes. Maybe sometime she’ll make you a sweater, they’re her specialty.”
Joey came back in with Oscar. Obviously, Oscar wanted to play. He wagged his stub of a tail and made soft, needy sounds.
Gilberto shook his finger and looked stern. “Quiet Oscar, playing is for tomorrow, for now, good night to you both. Get some sleep. Big party, and you’ll need rest if you want more Shirley Temples.”
“Can I have more? They taste so good.”
“We’ll see. Just remember drinking that much sugar can rot your teeth.”
Joey’s expression changed. He looked shocked. “It can?”
Gilberto hugged him. “Oh yes! Just remember moderation is always the best path to good health.”
“What else did grandpa say to you,” Maria asked. “I saw the two of you talking.”
“Oh, he said he and Grandma want me to visit them in Florida over Christmas. He said he’d fly me first class and meet me at the airport as soon as the plane landed.”
Hearing that, Gilberto sensed Maria’s tension, but refrained from saying anything.
“Someday when you’re older,” she smiled. “But I think you’re a little young to travel alone that way.”
“But not this Christmas?” Joey looked terribly disappointed as though his entire world were falling apart. “He said he and Grandma would take me to Disney. He said it would be a vacation I’ll never forget.”
“And then he gave you the ten dollars?” Gilberto said.
“”Yes, he said for me to save it and spend it there with them and he’d give me more if I needed it.”
“Sounds like my dad,” Maria said softly. “Always the soft sell, then moving in for the big close.”
Joey seemed confused. Tears filled his eyes. “What if they ask me? I already promised I would.”
“They won’t ask you, not this soon,” Maria said. “Besides we may go to Florida and you’ll see them then.”
Gilberto wrinkled his nose. “Florida?”
Maria kissed him turned and hugged Joey. “Now go to bed Joey,” she said. “Tomorrow’s a big day for us all.”

Weekly Horoscope
by Georgia Nicols
Sunday, August 30, 2020

This week Mercury and Venus change signs: Mercury moves into Libra for three weeks, while Venus moves into Leo for four weeks. Take note: Midweek, many of us will have a nasty moment because just before Venus enters Leo, it has a duel with two aggressive planets. “‘Take that, you cad!” (Oh yeah, expect a squeeze play with someone on Wed. and Thur.) However, the most intriguing detail about this week is the Sun dancing with wild Uranus making everyone feel liberated in an exciting way! That’s why this is the perfect week for new discoveries about yourself and the world around you. Speaking of discoveries, there’s something I often wondered about the Periodic Table. We have O for oxygen, H for hydrogen, Li for Lithium and Ti for titanium – but where is the element of surprise?

Aries (March 21-April 19)
That nasty moment midweek that I mentioned in All Signs above might manifest through sports for your sign. Be careful. It might also be a tough exchange with your kids, and it definitely could be a lover’s quarrel. Go gently. Leave your big guns at the door. Meanwhile, something exciting will take place that could relate to your health. Or it might be something utterly delightful related to a pet. (Having said that because of the surprise element – be vigilant about your pet. Guard their safety.) This breakthrough also might relate to your job or your work, especially if it involves the introduction of new technology or something scientific. Not a boring week!

Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Upsets in your domestic world or squabbles related to home and family might take place midweek. Perhaps someone disagrees with your decorating ideas or your approach to making your home more beautiful? You might even have a nasty little moment with a guest, if you are entertaining? (Hopefully, not.) Meanwhile, a surprise invitation might come your way. Yay! Something unexpected related to sports or the arts might delight you. Love at first sight might also occur. “Boris!” “Natasha!” Your social plans might change suddenly. Please note: This could be an accident-prone time for your kids so be vigilant.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Be mindful and aware of how you talk to others this week because that nasty little moment mentioned in All Signs above will likely manifest as a not-so- pleasant exchange between you and siblings, relatives or neighbours. Resist the urge to respond with sarcasm if provoked. Don’t go looking for trouble. (It will find you.) You might have a blow up with a friend or a member of a group. (You don’t need this.) Meanwhile, something unexpected will occur at home or within your family. This could be a delightful surprise! It might be a new high-tech purchase for your home. Or it could be something to do with modern art. Or maybe your brother-in-law Art is back couch surfing? (Groan.)

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
This continues to be a fast-paced time for you – no question. The difficulty in relating to others that occurs midweek (mentioned in All Signs above) might have something to do with money, cash flow and earnings for you. You might have a dispute with someone about money. You might be angry that someone spends too much money or owes you money? You might also be unhappy about something to do with a possession or something that you own. Someone close to you might be critical about how you handle your money? Bummer. However, this week something unexpected and exciting might occur. New people, new places, new faces, new ideas? You might suddenly need to travel? You might have a brilliant idea? You might see the world through new eyes. Admittedly, this surprise element could be accident prone. Be careful.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Thankfully, Venus in your sign helps you to be charming and diplomatic with everyone; plus, you’re taking more care with your appearance. (Incidentally this is a good week to buy wardrobe items.) Nevertheless, arguments with others might occur midweek. A quick flareup. Something nasty. It could relate to religion, politics or racial issues. You might have difficulty with someone older or someone in power about issues related to your job or your health. Grrr. But in the bigger picture, something surprising might impact your earnings. Hopefully, this is good news! It might be a way to boost your earnings. You might get a new job. You might make an unusual purchase, especially something high tech.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Something going on behind the scenes might irk you midweek. You might be annoyed with someone but decide not to show it. (You will suffer in silence.) Issues related to kids, the arts, sports and vacation travel might also get under your skin. Patience will be your best ally. Meanwhile, something exciting will occur this week. You might be involved in new activities, making new discoveries in the world around you? More likely, you will be open and very frank about who you are when talking to others. Whatever you do, you will be free from your daily routine doing something fresh and different! A big change!

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You like to get along with others. (Your default mode is you’re a people pleaser.) Nevertheless, midweek around Wednesday, you will have difficulties dealing with partners and close friends. You might have a brief fallout with someone. You might be at odds with an older family member. It could be anything. Do your best to minimize this because you don’t like fighting with others. (It disturbs your wah.) Meanwhile, this week, something completely different will energize you and make you feel alive and excited! It could be hidden news or something behind the scenes. Whatever it is will liberate you in some way, and give you more freedom!

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Don’t get your belly in a rash midweek because of difficulties with bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. It could happen. If so, think about your long-range objectives. You want to get along with these people, because when you get along with people in authority it makes your life easier. (Obviously.) You might also have a flareup with someone related to your work or your job. Remember that patience is the antidote to anger. Meanwhile, something unusual will happen regarding a friend or a group to which you belong. You might meet someone new who is exciting and unusual? Perhaps someone you already know will do something that is a bit mind blowing? News from a group might amaze you. Should be interesting!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Ever the philosopher about far-ranging topics, you might find yourself in an argument with someone midweek. It could be about politics, religion or racial issues. It might be about a foreign country or travel plans? An authority figure might squash your financial ideas or create obstacles for you. Be patient with kids and romantic partners this week. Meanwhile, something unexpected will impact your reputation among your peers. You might be in the limelight! (People notice you for some reason.) Or you might receive unexpected news from a parent, boss or an authority figure. (This could include the police.) Stay tuned!

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
You like to plan for a secure future ahead. Therefore, you might have a squabble with someone about shared property, inheritances, debt, taxes or something to do with your partner’s wealth. It might relate to something going on at home or within the family. Stay chill because no one thinks better when they’re angry. (Don’t leave home without your wits. Keep them with you at all times.) Meanwhile you might have a sudden opportunity to travel? You might also have a surprise opportunity related to medicine, the law, publishing or the media? You might learn something through the media that amazes you about someone far away. Whatever happens will be liberating for you and give you more freedom of choice.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Relations with others will be testy midweek. Venus is opposite your sign and it will be challenged! Squabbles with daily contacts, siblings or relatives might erupt. You might also be at odds with someone older or someone in authority. You can contain this nasty influence because Venus is opposite your sign and Venus will ameliorate any problems you encounter. Meanwhile, a surprise about joint finances or resources that you hold with someone else might occur? News about an inheritance or insurance might surprise you. Privately, new thoughts, even an epiphany, will cause you to experience life at a deeper, more exciting level. This could be a wake-up call for you!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
At this time, because the Sun is opposite your sign, you are thinking more about partnerships and close friendships. It’s logical. Furthermore, this opposition allows you to be more detached and objective about observing your own needs and wants in a relationship and how you relate to others. This is a good thing. Meanwhile, midweek you might have a squabble with someone related to work or your health or even something to do with your pet. Maintain your cool. The most exciting thing this week is that a partner or close friend will surprise you! They might say or do something that amazes you. Or possibly, you will meet someone new? Someone in some way will enlighten you or expand your world in a thrilling way. “Take me to your leader.”

Weekly Horoscopes Beginning Sunday, 30 August 2020

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Detailed work may be boring but it has to be done. If you are to secure your long-term position, then reading through small print and ensuring that safety nets are in place would surely be wise. However, you may find that you are dealing with someone who is at best cantankerous and at worst downright obstreperous. Take note that there is a Full Moon on Wednesday and at this stage of the lunar cycle emotions can run high. Its entirely possible that youll want decisions to be made quickly when in fact they might be made more equitably once details are fully addressed. In all this, the advice and counsel of Cancer and Virgo and friends should prove invaluable.

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

It seems likely that your role within a group or team will soon be much altered. Coinciding with Wednesday`s Full Moon, the Sun makes positive aspect to Uranus travelling through your sign. It may be around this time that you announce an altered course that would see you improve your expertise. Educational matters will surely have your full attention with considerable accent now on subjects for which you have natural talent. Yet your chosen path may be unsettling to others and yes, by the time your ruling planet, Venus, arrives at its right angle aspect to Mars on Friday, you could be on collision course with someone who is still getting to grips with your determination and persistence: qualities they may soon come to respect.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Pleasing people by giving in to them will make it easier for them to order you about in the future. Now is the time to stay true to your own interests. Bending to the will of a manipulative friend or partner puts them in a stronger position. Don`t give your power away. Are you single? You will have no shortage of admirers. Take this opportunity to build a friendship with someone from a distant shore. Facebook will keep you connected while you are apart.

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

You sense there is more to someone`s attentiveness than they are letting on. You are grateful for their helpfulness but a kind offer will have many strings attached. This situation is being stage managed to their benefit. Dare to approach them with your own stipulations the moment they turn around and call in a favour. The end of the week is great for sharing, being creative and having fun. You will soon be mixing with some unusual and exceptional people.

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Someone you work with or who lives near you is getting too familiar. Their questions and comments are too personal for comfort. They may have done you a favour or two but that doesn`t give them permission to intrude. If there are topics you would prefer not to discuss, change the subject. Be patient with a relative who is going through some personal problems. Whether they are overwhelmed with financial or job-related difficulties, a little kindness and patience will go a long way.

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

You could find yourself working with people you don`t know very well. It will be a struggle to get on the same wavelength. If you disagree with anyone, it might be a good idea to hold back and say little. Leave it to others to do the talking until you establish yourself as one of the team. Plans being discussed in the family are likely to result in a major upheaval. Pour your creativity into decorating schemes and delegate chores where you can.

By Friday Venus, your ruling planet will be at right angles to Mars in your opposite sign. This could bring to a head tensions in a working relationship. It may be that you want to pull in a particular direction and the other person is holding you back. Clearly these are not ideal situations. Given that there is a Full Moon to negotiate on Wednesday, it could be that on this occasion health concerns also have to be taken into account. You may need to make boundaries clear. All that said, it appears that demand for your expertise is growing. It should prove a useful exercise to make notes of all you`ve accomplished so far this year and how these facts could be conveyed in your CV. Next week your social and career worlds could yet expand considerably.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

A task is completed to everyone`s satisfaction. This is no small accomplishment. Be proud of the part you played in bringing this about. Experiences you go through now will make you more confident. You are more certain about your decisions and more determined about what you are doing. You and a partner have a lot to think and talk about and you will take a sensible approach to important matters.

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

You might find it hard to take in all that happens as the week begins. You will be getting on really well with someone youve only recently met. Something wonderful is developing between you and if youre single, this could be your chance to land a romantic interest. Your day to day activities feel more fulfilling and give you a gentle, comfortable pleasure. When you are doing what you love you might find that it could bring in a little extra cash in times to come.

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

If you took advantage of recent unexpected but intriguing ideas or offers and are now benefitting from them, its unlikely youll struggle with the current crop of equally intriguing developments. While some are about broadening your horizons, in terms of encounters or experiences, one or two are pointing you in a new direction. This is a period of discovery. Decisions? They can and should wait.

The better the planning and the more prepared you are, the more you will fit into your days. Set a goal and share your intentions with people who may be interested. Once friends hear what you are planning, you will get many offers of support. This would be a great time to buy a house or make some home improvements but it might just not be possible right now so turn your attention to how you can make your domestic arrangements even more attractive and appealing.

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

For ages youve known youd have to discuss, deal with and, in certain situations, confront others about unfair arrangements. While you`ve dealt with some, those that remain are likely to come to a head around the pivotal, and emotionally intense, Pisces Full Moon on Wednesday. That being the case, discuss and deal with whatever you can, before the minor issues in question turn into major dramas.

A friend lets you down. You will try to forget it but it will seem to have started a chain reaction. People will forget promises made. Appointments are cancelled and anything that can go wrong will seem to go wrong. This will be temporary and the phase will end as abruptly as it began.. Relationships and situations will improve later in the week. A senior colleague will hint that some form of advancement is on the cards for you and life won`t seem so bad, after all.
