Biddy Tarot
The card drawn for this week is the Three of Pentacles

We each have an important role to play, and when we can come together as a team, we can create something much more significant than if we were to undertake a project on our own.

If you’re going at it alone, take this as a sign to collaborate with others, creating synergies to achieve big results. There is such value in different ideas and levels of experience in collaboration.

Ask the Tarot: How can I collaborate with others to achieve my goals?

New Moon January 24, 2020 in Sign of Aquarius

It’s the first New Moon of 2020! Time to set the pace for the next Lunar cycle!

This New Moon is in the sign of Aquarius on January 24, 2020 .This is a time of cutting any cords that bind you and let your freedom Fly!

This New Moon is asking you to wake up! The New Moon is called the Seed Moon. It is a time of sprouting and new beginnings. It’s also a time to spiritually wake up!

This New Moon energy is incredibly strong and it’s coming your way quickly bringing with it many positive changes to your life. This energy is going to bring about a year of personal growth. If you choose to move ahead. The Wolf Moon seemed to set the pace for this year and it’s going to be packed with power and changes.

Wolf Moon

This year is going to be one of great acceleration. You’re going to find everything going at a faster rate than it did before. A lot of it has to do with the constant changes with technology. Let’s face it we can’t escape technology anymore.

We need it to run our lives, but I feel it’s running our lives more than we should allow it. So many people are controlled by their cell phones. They cannot be separated from their phone without having an anxiety attack. This is not healthy.

Smartphone

Everything about you is being monitored and tracked and if you think it’s not you are sadly mistaken. To me it’s an indication of things that were predicted thousands of years ago in the Book of Revelations. I have studied this book intensely over the years and I do see the Mark of the Beast coming closer each day. This is not to put fear in to you, but to make you think about how much of your life do you want controlled and monitored.

It amazes me how so many are allowing technology to run everything in their home, cars, cell phones and pretty much their life. What did people do before this advanced technology? They did things themselves. I may sound old fashion, but I’ve been on this planet a long time and I’ve seen the incredible changes that have occurred in my lifetime and it pretty much blows my mind.

I’m the only person I know who does not have a cell phone. This stuns people, but there’s many reasons that I do not have one and one of them is I don’t like how it knows so much about me. It’s difficult enough with a computer, but a computer doesn’t track and watch you like a cell phone does.

I’m not here to preach to anyone what to do, I am just sharing my feelings about what I see coming this year. You decide what is right for you.

2020 is loaded with potential for you if you stay focused and organized. Many of you may have felt the impact of this energy already.

It’s time to cut the cords to the past. This is one of the biggest messages that I get from this New Moon. Let go of anything that does not serve you. Please watch my video on How To Cut The Spiritual Cords That Are Binding You.

This is not a quiet year and this New Moon starts the feelings of growth within you. For those of you who are tuned in spiritually you are going to find that your energy is heightened. It’s a great year to expand upon your spiritual and intuitive practices and learn all you can about working with your personal gifts.

This new Moon is telling you that it’s not too late in life. If there is something that you’ve wanted to do, perhaps it’s a career you always wanted, a place you wanted to live, something that you truly wanted, and now is the time to go after it. I don’t care if you have decided you want to go back to school for a career and you are in your 50’s. This is your year. The soul does not count your years, only your spiritual growth. The Universe is giving you a huge nudge to get out there and go after what you want. This is going to be an unbelievably productive year if you work with the spiritual energy that is abundant.

The moon phases can affect our mind, body and emotions in the following ways:

Body- We tend to sleep less during the new moon phase and rise early. Our appetite tends to increase and we tend to experience spurts of energy.
Mind- This is a time we usually experience sudden insights and develop new ideas. It is a great time to be creative and participate in writing, painting or anything else that allows the mind to be inspired.
Emotions- During this time it is common to feel shy and experience sensitive feelings. It is a good time to stay away from crowds and to keep the focus on ourselves.

After searching for so long you may find you become very aware of how you fit into the world. You may gain a greater understanding of what you should be doing in this life, what makes you happiest and how you fit in best with the world around you without sacrificing who you are.

As this year goes by and you find the need to do something important, to hold for the greater good, to take a stand, or to feel empowered in your truth, remember the power of the water within you. The water in our blood and in our bodies is connected to all the waters of the world in ways that are compassionate, empowering, creative and ever flowing. It always finds or creates the right and correct path as it makes its way, as it flows from the places of old to the places of new with truth, conscience, responsible action, self empowerment, and personal sovereignty.

Make a fresh start. Create a New Moon ritual:
~Set an intention.
~Light a white/silver candle.
~Imagine the new moving toward you in joyful, powerful ways.

Spend a few moments breathing in the energy of this new reality each day, making it more and more tangible. Work this for one moon cycle and re-access and energize on the next new moon if needed.

Llewellyn’s Spell A Day
Banishing Heartache Spell
January 19, 2020 by Thuri Calafia

Sometimes we find ourselves falling for someone who, for one reason or another, is not available to us, yet we still must see them regularly. This can create difficult emotions, to say the least. For this spell, take cotton embroidery thread of the colors you associate with love, sexual attraction, and passion. (If there’s overlap, use black, for the Mystery.) Braid these threads together in a length long enough to go around your ankle. While doing so, think strongly of your ardor for this person and chant:

With every step I take, with every
choice I make, my ardor finds a
better path, a more desirable fate.

Tie a knot in the braid for each reason the relationship can’t work, then tie the braid around your ankle. Whenever you are with this person, make sure to point your feet away from them! By the time the braid falls off, your ardor should be banished, leaving the relationship comfortably platonic.

Money to Pay the Bills Spell
January 18, 2020 by Ari Mankey

Re couping financially from the holiday season can be difficult, and by the middle of January, many folks scramble to pay their bills. This spell is an easy way to bring a little extra money in to cover those stresses.

For this spell, you’ll need a small green candle, a one-dollar bill, and a needle or pin for carving your candle. Start by carving a dollar sign ($) into your candle, then anoint it with a money-drawing oil such as cinnamon, almond, or peppermint. Place your carved and anointed candle into a holder and set it on top of your dollar. As you light the candle, say:

Money to pay the bills,
Manifest by my will!

Envision all of your bills being paid, with a little bit left over for yourself. Repeat the spell daily until the candle is burned out, being sure to extinguish the candle when you are unable to keep an eye on it.

Harmonizing with Spirit
January 17, 2020 by Melissa Tipton

The four elements arise from and return to spirit, thus spirit can help us feel more integrated when we’re experiencing elemental imbalance. For this ritual, you’ll need a white candle in a holder and something to represent each of the four elements (for example, a stone, feather, candle, and water). Arrange the elements around you (right, left, front, back) in whatever way feels best, then sit in the center with the white candle.

Feel the elements, and notice if you feel drawn to or repelled by any of them, getting a sense of any potential imbalance. You can ask any of the elements for guidance in this space. Then light the white candle, and envision the light of spirit radiating out from the center, your center, and expanding to encompass all four elements, bringing them into perfect harmony within you. Open to receive any further insights, including ways to express this harmony in your daily life, before thanking the elements and closing the ritual. Be sure to extinguish the candle.

Spiral Meditation
January 16, 2020 by Kate Freuler

The spiral is an ancient symbol and has had many meanings throughout history across the world. The most popular interpretation is evolution, growth, and the revealing of hidden knowledge. Meditating on a spiral shape is a good practice to open doors inside your subconscious to help you better understand your purpose in this life and uncover important spiritual lessons.

On a dark-colored surface or black paper, pour some table salt in the shape of a spiral, starting at the center and working outward. Table salt often comes in a box with a pouring feature, making it perfect for this.

Relax and gaze into the spiral as you take deep breaths and let go of intrusive thoughts. Allow your vision to blur as you sink into a meditative state, paying attention to what sounds, thoughts, and images flitter across your mind. When you’re done meditating, write down all that you heard or saw. If the information you receive doesn’t make sense right now, it will in time. Scatter the salt outdoors if possible and ask for clarity.

Melt Away Spell
January 15, 2020 by Laura Tempest Zakroff

Midwinter is an ideal time to clean house mentally and get rid of ideas and other things that hold us back. This is an easy spell to do to clear out something that’s been bugging you.

Gather these ingredients:
* An ice cube
* A marker
* A cup or bowl
* Salt

Select a fresh ice cube from the freezer. With the marker, write on the cube (before it starts to melt) a word that represents what you wish to get rid of. Place the ice in a cup or bowl, then sprinkle salt on it as you say:

As this ice melts, so too shall this issue
begin to diminish and fade away. I
cleanse away that which I do not need.

Place the bowl in a safe place where it won’t be disturbed, and allow the ice cube to melt overnight. In the morning, empty the water in the toilet and flush it away.

Friendship Spell
January 14, 2020 by Charlie Rainbow Wolf

Focus on getting out today, because while this isn’t necessarily a good day for romance or business, it is a great day for enjoying yourself with loved ones. For this spell, you’ll need a shoe, a sock, an orange stone (either a crystal or a stone you paint or color), and cinnamon. A cinnamon scroll is best, but a pinch of powdered spice will also work.

When you get up in the morning, put the stone and the spice in your shoe, then say these words:

Whatever I do, wherever I be,
Wherever I walk, friends come to me.

When you’re ready to go out, take the stone and the spice from your shoe and place them in a sock and under your bed. That’s it! Wear that shoe with confidence today, and know that you’ve greatly increased your potential for meeting friends and creating great memories.

Solar Citrine as a Winter Light
January 13, 2020 by Raven Digitalis

For those of us who live in an area of the world blanketed in snow around this time of year, and even for those of us who feel that occasional rush of bitter cold during the first parts of the year, those moments when sunlight emerges feel like a blissful reconnection to a warmer time of year.

To harness a little bit of this solar flare, acquire two pieces of citrine and wait for one of those sublime wintertime moments when you feel the sun reminding you of its imminent return. Focus your energy on that moment occurring either today or later this week, and you will be sure to take notice.

When you feel that rare solar radiance tapping through the cold, hold the pieces of citrine up to the sun and imagine the solar light filling them to the brim. Say something like this:

These stones are alchemized,
magnetized, charged with the
light of the conquering sun.

Keep one stone in each pocket throughout the winter season to stay connected to the nourishing light of the returning spring and summer.

Lighting the Perpetual Flame of Brigid
(A brief history of the flame)

A sacred fire burned in Kildare reaching back into pre-Christian times. Scholars suggest that priestesses used to gather on the hill of Kildare to tend their ritual fires while invoking a goddess named Brigid to protect their herds and to provide a fruitful harvest.

When St. Brigid built her monastery and church in Kildare she continued the custom of keeping the fire alight. For her and her nuns the fire represented the new light of Christianity, which reached our shores early in the fifth century.

Gerald of Wales (Giraldus Cambrensis) a Welsh Chronicler, visited Kildare in the twelfth century, he reported that the fire of St. Brigid was still burning in Kildare and that it was being tended by nuns of St. Brigid. Some historians record that a few attempts were made to have the fire extinguished but without success. It survived possibly up to the suppression of the monasteries in the sixteenth century.

The sacred fire/flame was re-lit in 1993, in the Market Square, Kildare, by Mary Teresa Cullen, the then leader of the Brigidine Sisters, at the opening of a justice and peace conference. The conference, entitled “Brigid: Prophetess, Earthwoman, Peacemaker” was organised by Afri, (Action from Ireland), a justice, peace and human rights organisation, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its St. Brigid’s Peace Cross Project. Since then, the Brigidine Sisters in Kildare have tended the flame in their centre, Solas Bhride.

Each year the flame burns in the town square for the duration of Feile Bride.

This year (2006) will be significantly different. On February 1 st, St. Brigid’s Day, the flame will be perpetually lit in the town square from the flame tended in Solas Bhride for the past fourteen years.

Kildare County Council has commissioned a sculpture to house the flame. The piece comprises a twisted column, which flourishes at the top into large-scale oak leaves, nestled into which there is a bronze acorn cup holding the flame. The use of oak leaves symbolises both the Christian beliefs of St. Brigid and the earlier Druidic worship of the trees. Of course, the oak is also the namesake of Kildare, Cill Dara, Church of the oak. It is surely an apt and fitting tribute to honour this historic flame.

Heartwings love notes 914 Cabbages are a winter vegetable

Heartwings says, “Eating with the seasons brings good health.”

Cabbage is a winter vegetable, sturdy, healthy, and versatile. The only negative thing about it is that if you overcook it, it does smell bad. This is due to the Sulphur content, released that way. If it is cooked properly that Sulphur content helps our bodies to be more efficient. This is an extremely versatile vegetable. It can be boiled, fried, sautéed or eaten raw in a salad. Inexpensive, it keeps very well in the refrigerator, so is always handy as an ingredient in a quick meal.

According to Wikipedia, China consumes more cabbage than any other country. Much of the cabbage sold and consumed in the United States goes into coleslaw. In a restaurant, I often choose that over the ubiquitous French fries because it is not only healthier but normally gluten free, which fries usually aren’t. In Eastern Europe and in Russia, cabbage has a place in daily consumption in the winter, especially in Poland, where it is a staple ingredient. Pickled, or preserved as sauerkraut-literally sour cabbage, is very popular in sandwiches everywhere. It is the main ingredient in Korean kimchi, a national side dish.

I like cabbage in all its forms and have happily made it into soup, salad and sauté. Here is a salad I invented using cabbage and sweet onion: to serve two, shred or slice fine a quarter of a large cabbage. Add sweet onion sliced or cut fine, to taste. Mix with mayonnaise and horseradish sauce and a pinch of salt, some ground garlic, lemon or regular pepper, and tarragon if you like. Mix well and serve. I have found that cutting the cabbage into fine shreds enhances the taste. Increase amounts to serve 4 or more. I like to cut it myself, which takes longer but puts more love into the food.

Another simple favorite is cabbage sautéed with sausage or hot dogs. Shred or slice half a medium cabbage-it cooks down, so you need more. Sauté half a large onion chopped in small pieces in butter and olive oil. Add 2 sausages or hot dogs cut or scissored into thin (quarter inch) rounds. Stir and cook until onion is transparent and sausages are sizzled. Add cabbage. Sauté over medium heat, then turn to low; cover and cook for 10 or 15 minutes. Serve to two, increasing quantities for more. This and the above recipe are staple dishes for winter fare, healthy, tasty, and easy to prepare.

May your meals be healthy for body, mind and spirit, and prepared with love.

Blessing and best regards, Tasha Halpert

PS If you have any cabbage tales or recipes to share, or comments of course, I always love to receive them. Your emails make my day and I promise to respond as soon as I can, though sometimes my responses are delayed by time and energy focus elsewhere.

Reconnecting with Friends
By Madisyn Taylor

When fate brings old friends back into our lives, there is always a reason.

Every person that passes through our lives makes a contribution to our life stories. There are those who play large roles and make deep impressions, but sometimes a brief special appearance before life takes them in another direction creates a meaningful connection. It is a rare gift when they suddenly reappear in our lives after a long absence.

Though the world may seem full of more people than we could ever know, we are often drawn to people with similar energy, which brings us together time and time again. On first meeting, the characters in our life stories may seem familiar. We may know each other from past lives or perhaps we merely recognize the energy of a kindred spirit. But when fate brings old friends back into our lives, there is always a reason. They may act as messengers, reminding us of a part of ourselves we have forgotten to nurture. They might appear to give us a chance to react in a new way to an old situation. They may even bring up unresolved issues so that we may complete them, giving us the chance to move forward on our life path. Whether old friends, previous romances, or once and future partners, their reappearance is more than mere chance. They may never know what they bring into our lives, but the renewed contact is a gift.

If this hasn’t happened to you, maybe you are meant to initiate contact by seeking out old friends. If old friends come to mind or into your dreams, use their appearance as an excuse to get in touch. If an old song or movie reminds you of them, reach out to share the gift of renewed contact. Wherever you fall in the circle of connection and reconnection, be sure to look beyond the surprise of the moment to enjoy the deeper gift that this revelation brings.

Why Do Ghosts Visit You in the Bedroom?
by ghosthuntingtheories@gmail.com

Repeatedly when called to someone’s home who is having issues with haunting-like events, we are taken to the bedroom, the site of some extraordinary encounters.

It’s simple to check EMF readings off the alarm clock or C-PAP machine, but once there seems to be no reason to be having explainable discomfort in the room, we are left with the murky water that is sleep-time encounters.
It’s easy to toss out these experiences and call them “sleep-related,” but look a little closer at what happens at sleep time that might make us the ideal target for connection.

There are many factors at work in a haunted location and every one of them depend on the minds and chemistry of the people who dwell there.

Changes in emotional milieu, occupants, medications, and other more subtle nuances are at play with those human beings, actually changing the haunting qualities and intensity. We are an integral part of activity in a home.

Now, you put a person into a bedroom where hormones released make them sleep, make their bodies paralyze, make them go into dream state and alpha state as they go in and out of falling asleep and waking, and you have a whole chemistry, emotional, and even psychic smorgasbord.

Some of our biggest fights as couples are in bedrooms and some of our most passionate moments, as well. At the end of a trying day, we retreat to the bedroom, sometimes for a good cry when we are mourning and don’t want family members to witness it.

And, as we lie in bed preparing for sleep, our minds cycle through the day and the anticipation of the next day. As anxiety is released, we finally give in to the brain’s release of melatonin and grow weary, sinking into the mattress like a lead weight as we enter alpha state in a room that is about as potent a human emotional marker as any other room in the house.

And, in the cycles of sleep state, many things can interrupt to the point that they incorporate into our dreams, like a stomachache becomes being shot in the belly in a dream, or a loud noise outside becomes thunder in our minds, and at times our body paralyzes during dream state and we begin to awaken, only to see things that aren’t there, and be unable to move, a horror to be sure!

You take the average person who perhaps isn’t tapped into their psychic skills and you lay them down on a bed and you let them drift into that floating suspended moment before sleep and they are now receptive to perceiving and having encounters that in their logic-minded daily life they may not ever experience.

Visitations: Visitations from newly deceased loved ones is the most common encounter by the “regular person not in a haunted home and not typically the type to encounter hauntings.” The visitation of the recent missing loved one is usually a window of up to a couple weeks, but most often within the first few days of the person’s passing. It would appear that the “soul” of a person breaks that umbilical over time and moves on to the next task in the life cycle, but there are exceptions in which a surviving person is undergoing a horrendous stress and turmoil, life risk, or even the birth of a child in the family line, when the passed relative can make another showing.

Some counselors would say that dreaming of the dead relative is a normal part of assimilating a new reality and this does happen. Usually if I dream about the person who passed, it involves me knowing they are sick or supposed to be dead and them not knowing it. That is a dream. Visitation is different all together.

A visitation almost always includes visually seeing the person in your room. You are awakening, falling asleep, or wake up during the night and – boom – they are standing there. Sometimes there is a brief message and a disappearance or a thought transference before they leave. Consider yourself very blessed to do this. I believe there is an emotional and soul-based umbilical that ties us to people we love, the same way we sense someone we love is in trouble. We lose that physically based connection over time upon death, but for a time, they are still able to tap that “highway” to you by that once active connection.

Ways to encourage a visitation are pretty straightforward. Before you go to sleep, turn off all distractions, sit down with a photo album and sort through pictures and memories. Lay the book out next to you open to a page with the person’s photo. Lie down and replay some old scenes in the past with your loved one and say “(name) please visit me tonight. I need to see you one more time.” Now, go about falling asleep normally, knowing that they will be there some time during the night – this is important because it’s like when you know you have to get up at 6:30 the next morning to catch a flight, you get up at 6:28 before the alarm. You will be prepared for and expecting an interruption during the night. This doesn’t always work, but do it nightly for at least a week following the passing.

Physical annoyances: Another interaction people report with spirits is them “messing” with them as they sleep, pulling on the bedsheets, sitting down, stroking their hair, and the like. You have two things happening here; one is that you are resting and have no other stimulation, so you notice it more easily than you notice it in the daytime and two, you are nonthreatening and in an unconscious or semiconscious state. This can be attention-getting and it can simply be a desire to interact without scaring you.

Sex: Our dreams go through cycles through the night. Usually the first dream cycle lets of anxiety, fear, and anger. Then, we begin to do problem solving. Then, eventually we get to the pleasant dreams that are usually arousing in the morning time. It is not unusual to have hormonal arousals in sleep and wake up while climaxing, even for females! Incorporating these sensations into dreams is perfectly normal, just like if you have a headache in your sleep and you dream about having your head in vice. No, ghosts do not want to have sex with you. What would be the purpose for a body-less person who is not being pumped with instinctive hormones to desire sex? Our bodies, however, have circadian rhythms and hormone release and that happens to include a very early morning cycling of arousal.

The Mind-Driven Phenomena: In our sleep time we also can encounter many things outside of the daytime rational and alert mind and its familiar realm. We might have premonition dreams, out of body astral projections, vivid dreams induced by geomagnetic storms, sleep paralysis, night terrors, alien encounters, and any other number of “other realm” encounters that we cannot normally enter until we put the mortal body out and allow the spirit to wander.

Ultimately, the very emotional content of a bedroom, the mind’s sleep cycles and receptive state, make the bedroom the ideal time for contact. The only other place in the house second likely to have activity is the TV room, as watching TV can induce alpha-like brain waves.

More things you might not have known about haunted home tendencies?

Least likely room in a house to be a haunted? The kitchen or home office. Two rooms utilized with task-oriented mindset in place and well lit. I have almost never run into issues with these two rooms with the exception of someone thinking something in the kitchen fell down or got knocked over, but given the amount of teetering items in a kitchen, no wonder.

Most likely to be haunted? TV room and bedrooms where minds are in neutral and you can be distracted. It’s not that they are more haunted necessarily, only that the mind of the people in those rooms is more likely to notice it. You are also more likely to see shadow people in these two rooms for much the same reasons – out of the corner of your eye when you’re relaxed.

Most likely to have apparitions? Hallways where something going past an open doorway can be seen blocking out light or being framed by incoming light from bedroom windows.

There is no need to feel vulnerable to nighttime visitors. In fact, there are lots of times people are awakened by helpful spirits when a house is on fire, a child is choking and in danger in another room, or one is having nightmares or sleep apnea. Your dream state is much more imaginative, terrifying, stressful, and active than any spirit interaction that might occur at bedtime.

It’s possible you have been visited, and equally possible that in our dreams, we haunt others….

If you’re rather scientific-minded, quantum entanglement theory can really help to make sense of the concept of a soul being able to simultaneously be in a few places at one time. As a soul is a form of energy and this energy is universal, there is no need for “location” as it is able to project everywhere at once.

Vacations
By Madisyn Taylor

An aware traveler sees each new journey as an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of humanity.

As the technology of travel grows ever more refined, the world grows smaller. Whereas a journey of a hundred miles once took many days, we can now travel across the globe in mere hours. The four corners of the earth are accessible by plane, train, and ship, and there are few pleasures in life as soul-stirring and transformative as travel. In a new land, the simplest of joys can be profound–meditation takes on a new quality because the energy in which we are immersed is unfamiliar. Our sensory experiences are entirely novel. Yet the relative ease with which we can step out of our own culture in order to explore another means that we are ambassadors representing not only our own way of life but also the culture of the traveler. As a conscious citizen of the world, you can add value to the locales you visit while simultaneously broadening your own perspective.

A truly aware traveler sees each new journey as an opportunity to improve international relations, spread goodness, and gain a greater understanding of humanity. To immerse yourself in foreign cultures is to open your mind to fresh ways of being. Your natural curiosity can help you navigate the subtleties that define a culture. While you may not agree with all the traditions or laws of a country, abiding by them demonstrates that you understand and respect their value. Staying centered in another culture is often simply a matter of learning about your destination, being patient with yourself and others, and accepting that people may treat you as an example of your country’s attitudes. New worlds will open to you when you take part in the everyday life of a locale–the reality of a destination is in its markets, its streets, and its people.

Traveling presents a wonderful opportunity to practice being open-minded and grounded. The voyages you make help cultivate a worldwide community in which we as humans can acknowledge and appreciate our differences as much as we recognize and appreciate our similarities. Though you will eventually return home, the positive impression you leave behind will remain as a testament to the respect and amicability that marked your intercultural interactions.

The Treasure Hunt 3
by Stephen Halpert

Julia heard cawing from the balcony. She peered out her bedroom window. The crow was pecking at the sliding door as if trying to get in. It looked at her and continued its obnoxious caw.
She sighed loudly. “Go away,” She drew the curtain, but still heard its caw. “Go away! I don’t want you here.”
It cawed several more times then flew away.
Next door in the guest room, Becky saw the crow circling Julia’s garden. It skimmed over the pool and then ate berries from some bushes.
The cawing of the crow plus Todd’s loud snores was keeping her awake. She looked at the crow. “Why are you circling Julia’s garden? What are you trying to tell us?
Todd bounced in bed; his arms thrashed the pillows. “What you say?”
“Go back to sleep,” Becky said. “I was only talking to the crow.”
“Since when do you talk to crows?”
“Sleep,” Becky said. It took her a while, but she finally drifted off.
The next morning Jack returned. David was in the kitchen reading Treasure Island. He looked over at his father. “Daddy did you ever go treasure hunting?”
Todd wrinkled his nose “No, David I can’t say that I have.”
“But it’s so much fun, isn’t it, Uncle Jack?”
“Maybe you think so,” Lisa chimed in. “But some of us have more important things to think about!”
His eyes widened. “I was asking daddy not you.” He looked at Todd. “What’s more important that finding a treasure, daddy?”
Todd shook his head. “Don’t look at me. I was raised to be practical and down to earth. Your mother on the other hand…”
“Do tell,” Becky said.
“It just that if women like you ruled the world…”
“We wouldn’t rule it. We’d give it back to whomever it belonged to.”
“That’s what I mean. No material considerations.”
She thought about that. “That’s not true,” Becky said. “It’s just easier when there’s less to be concerned about.”
“Concerned, yes,” Julia said getting up from the table. “I just remembered I must go call go Evelyn Metcalf at the Historical Society.” She turned to Jack. “If anyone has an inkling about any treasure here in Key West, it would be Evelyn. A lifelong resident, she’s written the definitive history of the Keys.” She went to use the phone.
Jack winked at David. “When Julia comes back, we’ll go.”
David beamed. “Daddy, come with us?”
Todd smiled. “No, I’d prefer to lie in the sun like a tourist and enjoy the pool with my charming wife and daughter.”
As though on cue, the crow appeared and dove into the pool, splashing and cawing.
Lisa frowned. “I hope that bird won’t be here all day.” She glared at David, who opened his mouth. “Don’t say it, don’t say it.” He closed it again and giggled.
Julia came back and told Jack they had an appointment that morning. “She certainly seems eager to see you.” She smiled. “I guess you made quite an impression on her at the last potluck at church.”
Jack’s car pulled up in front of the Historical Society. Located blocks from the harbor, the decrepit, weather worn building glistened in the warm sun.
“Wow, David said. “That building sure needs to be painted.”
Jack smiled. “Sometimes David, older properties take on a weathered veneer. It’s supposed to add to their historic integrity.”
David giggled. “Looks like it’s ready to fall down.”
Jack laughed. “So are half the properties along the harbor. I think it’s called ambience.”
Evelyn Metcalf was a statuesque woman with shoulder length black hair, blue eyes and aristocratic cheekbones. She reminded Jack of the movie star Jane Russell.
“And you must be David,” Evelyn put out her hand and shook his.
“Yes,” he beamed excitedly. “Uncle Jack and I are looking for the treasure.”
“Treasure?” She looked at Jack. “Don’t tell me you’ve filled this boy’s head with the tall tales Papa Hemingway used to entertain the tourists?”
“Didn’t he unearth some old documents?” Jack asked.
Evelyn chuckled. “Would that he had. Apparently, he and his wife Mary went to a church sale near their home. He bought an old wooden chest containing scraps of paper filled with gibberish. After analyzing them he was convinced that a treasure was hidden here, as he put it, “in plain sight.”
“Could we see some of that gibberish?” Jack said.
Evelyn smiled. “You’re not the first person to ask. But sadly, they crumbled long before I took over as Director. You’re welcome to use whatever research we have here on file.
Jack nodded. “Where did the story of it being in plain sight come from?”
Evelyn chuckled. “Oh, on one of the scraps. Papa quoted “in plain sight,” but apparently no indication where.”
“My daddy said if I followed my nose, it could lead me to the treasure,” David said.
“You must have a very intelligent father.” she smiled. “Well, you’re certainly welcome to try. That’s just what Key West needs: the discovery of Hemingway’s treasure. What an incredible tourist attraction that would be.” She smiled at David. “And how would you go about following your nose?”
David thought about that. Then he grinned. “Oh, I’d use my magic wand. Uncle Jack gave it to me last Christmas. It really works.”
Evelyn eyed Jack. “Really? Or is this a new tall tale?”
“Oh no,” David said, and much to Uncle Jack’s surprise he pulled the wand from his knapsack.
Evelyn gave him her best motherly smile. “You’re so enthusiastic, how could I not believe you?” She looked at Jack. “Such a dear little boy and he has your eyes.” She reached for it. “Why, that looks just like the ones they sell at Fun Land.”
David handed it to her. “Here.”
Jack began to feel nervous. “David,” he said trying to sound casual, “best to put away your wand.”
Evelyn smiled. “I suppose if I really had a magic wand, I’d ask for more funds for restoration.” She sighed. “Start by modernizing and painting this place, adding a new roof.”
Without thinking she waved the wand. At first nothing happened. Then the ceiling creaked and lifted upward as the roof flew off the building; everything throughout the rooms swirled and fell into a gigantic heap; paint began slathering on the walls. To top it off, the large black crow appeared and perched on the pile.

Just Peachy Health Spell
by thiscrookedcrown

Here’s a health spell intended to encourage continued long health or increase long bouts of healthiness. If you suffer from chronic illness, this spell may increase the period of time where the illness is less impactful on your life, such as a period of less pain or more time between depressive bouts.

It’s not intended to replace actual medical care. As always, seek out a physician or health care provider if you’re feeling unwell, in addition to any spell work you may cast.

What you’ll need:
” Peach
” Sharp knife or carving instrument
” Pen and paper
” Rosemary infused oil (optional)

First, find a fresh peach. As perfect as a peach as you can get. Clean it and then eat the peach as is – whole. (So don’t cut it into slices). Set aside the kernel.
Clean the kernel, leaving it to dry fully. This may take several weeks or even months. You may be able to speed it up by drying it out in a dehydrator or on a low heat in the oven for a long time. The choice is yours.

Once the kernel is fully dry, take a pencil and trace the outline of the kernel on a piece of paper with a pencil. Do it a few times so you have many different peach pit shapes to work on. On the paper, write your full name or initials in the kernel’s shape. Depending on the size of your name and/or the size of the kernel, this may take a few tries to get it just right. You’ll also want to practice drawing the infinity sign ? (an 8 laying on it’s side).

Once you think you’ve gotten the writing down, take a sharp knife and carve your name or full initials onto one side of the kernel. You’ll need a lot of patience and a steady hand. On the other side, carve the infinity sign.

Optionally, lightly rub some rosemary infused oil (such as olive oil) over the peach pit when done carving. Pat dry then set aside to let dry completely. This isn’t necessary, but it’s an added bonus.

Carry this peach pit with you or place it by, above, or under your bed.

Looking for Some Healthy Yet Fun Recipes for 2020?

Build-Your-Own Buddha Bowl

I’m not sure where the term came from, but if you want a nourishing meal that’s little bites of everything, have a Buddha bowl. I lived in Thailand for 3 years in my youth and the monks would come around to households for portions of food that residents would give to them in wooden bowls.

The more varied the color in the foods you eat, the more nutrients you’re getting. Start with a base of a cooked whole grain and decorate with all the colors of the rainbow. I used spelt for this recipe, but you could use brown, red, black, or red rice; farro; quinoa; or many others.

I roast a couple of trays of vegetables every week and use them throughout the week for recipes like this one and for soups, sandwiches, and side dishes. Here’s my take on the Buddha bowl, but I encourage you to experiment.

Servings: 1
Ingredients

Buddha Bowl

1/2 cup cooked spelt (or other whole grain)
1/3 cup kale and mushrooms, sautéed
1/4 cup pumpkin, roasted
1/4 cup sweet potato, roasted
2 snow peas, blanched*
1/4 cup broccoli, roasted
1/8 cup red cabbage, sliced
2 tablespoons kernel corn

*Optional. To blanch snow peas, immerse them for about 30 seconds in a pot of boiling water. Pour into a colander and rinse under cold running water. Shock in a bowl of ice water until the cubes melt. Drain well.

Dressing (makes more than needed for one Buddha bowl)

1/2 tablespoon minced or grated ginger
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1/2 tablespoon agave or honey
1/2 tablespoon mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
2 tablespoons miso paste (Japanese seasoning)
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/8 cup water or more for desired consistency
Juice from 1/2 lemon
White or black pepper, to taste

Directions

Layer 1/3 cup grain at bottom of bowl (save the rest to top off the bowl).
Arrange vegetables on top of the grain.
Separately, mix together all dressing ingredients and shake it up.
Drizzle 2 tablespoons of dressing over bowl and enjoy!

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder and almond milk, until batter forms. Season with salt and pepper.
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, shaking off any excess before placing it onto baking sheet.
Bake cauliflower at 450 degrees F until cauliflower is slightly browned, about 15-20 minutes, flipping over half way through.
In a medium mixing bowl, add baked cauliflower and hot sauce and toss to coat. Place cauliflower back onto baking sheet and bake until cauliflower is crispy, about 5-10 minutes.
To assemble tacos, add ranch slaw, avocado and buffalo cauliflower. Top with cilantro, ranch dressing and Frank’s hot sauce.

For the vegan ranch:

In a small mixing bowl, add all ingredients and whisk together until smooth and creamy. Pour half of ranch over slaw and toss slaw until coated. Reserve the other half of the dressing to top tacos with.

Notes

To make this vegetarian, simply use regular mayo and cow’s milk where vegan mayo and almond milk are called for.
Recipe is gluten-free friendly. If you don’t need a gluten-free recipe, feel free to use all-purpose flour instead of gluten-free flour and flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas.

Weekly Horoscopes Beginning Sunday, 19 January 2020

If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Aries
Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

The past weeks` powerful yet tricky situations have been challenging, yet they`ve drawn you into exploring new ideas, pursuits or places, some of which you`re eager to make part of your life. While the rapid pace has complicated the decision-making now, suddenly, the pace has slowed enough you can settle on plans. Move swiftly or by the week`s close, destiny will make those decisions for you.

Expect a busy time of it. It`s a week when you`ll be caught up in the trials and tribulations of the everyday world. Sometimes it might feel as if you can`t keep up with it all and during these moments, don`t be reluctant to ask for help. There is a reason you will be in touch with an old friend. Either you have news to pass on to them or you need some information that only they can supply. Discussions are complicated but a lot will come out of them.

Think of it this way: occasionally, and with the best will in the world, you take a route that takes you down a cul-de-sac. It`s a bore, but you have no alternative other than to turn around and find your way back on track. Yet this also gives time to review. Clearly initial decisions weren`t the best. You`ve lost time but perhaps you can make up for that. Yes, this will surely require ingenuity – but that is something you have that in spades. The other advantage presently is that others are willing you on. It`s as though the traffic parts to make way for you with others recognising that you need to get to where you want to be and quickly. In short, there`s a lot to be gained this week – though agreed, there may be more moments when you feel exhausted in having to think so creatively.

Taurus
Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Decisions about elements of your way of living, working or loving are increasingly urgent. That`s no surprise. However, you thought you had plenty of time while, suddenly certain of these matters need attention, and now. Actually, that`s best because you`ll need to make tentative arrangements, then see how things work out. While this isn`t your usual approach as a cautious, thorough Taurus but, for now, it`s your best bet.

There`s some conflict between family and social commitments. Your choice will be to focus on the former but a friend disagrees. Ignore their complaints. You have the right to make your own decisions. This is a great time for new starts on the domestic scene. A home improvement project will give you a great deal of pleasure. Refitting a kitchen or bathroom will make you want to spend more time at your place. It will feel good too, to clear out clutter.

Anticipate being challenged. It could be that you have determined a route that others think is inadvisable. You need to get them on-side and to do that probably need to display your qualifications and your plan. Though before Wednesday it might be hard to get your message across, after then, and prior to the New Moon on Friday you could get together all the information needed to ensure others are clear about your plans and motivation. Yes, this week may be all about business planning. Focus likely won`t be a problem – especially between Wednesday and Friday. At a different level entirely, if there is material you need to research and study, these few days are most promising.

Gemini
Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

On occasion, you need to escape everyday reality. For you, as a Gemini, this involves exploring a new activity, setting or alliance. While, ordinarily, that doesn`t mean you`d make those changes, in one particular case, you could. This is timely, mostly because you`re stuck in certain familiar but dull habits. The trick is to plunge in, check things out but make no promises, at least just yet.

Some hidden factors in your world are about to be revealed. These involve a close relationship where you thought there was trust and you had respect for each other. Someone has been hiding something from you. You need time to take this all in. Expect the unexpected when it comes to family affairs. Don`t be surprised if you find out a neighbour has developed a crush on you. A momentary fling could be cause for regret.

As you know, yours is one of the Air signs of the Zodiac: you feed on ideas. When these aren`t presented, you become hungry for them. Its hunger for a fresh approach that could bring you into contact this week with someone who seems a little crazy, but may have a genius plan. That said, think of yourself as a radio. You`re trying to tune into a station but can`t quite get the settings just right. It could take until after Friday`s New Moon before you achieve that. Until then, it is perhaps imperative that you don`t sign on the dotted line, but instead work hard to pick out the sounds that are important and those which are just background noise. Be wary too that you`re not contributing to background noise for others. In short: this week the priority to do is to do careful listening and less talking.

Cancer
Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

With two recent eclipses, including the powerful Cancer eclipsed Full Moon on 10 January, shaking things up, you`ve been excited by new ideas yet wary about committing. However, things are moving swiftly, which means you`re better off making even tentative plans, than waiting and watching. Ironically, what you learn in the process could make setting your priorities and finalising decisions easier than you anticipated.

Curb any desire to fall in with other people`s wishes, just to please them. If you don`t want to do something, don`t. If you have better ideas, do what you feel is best for you. Someone has a habit of expecting you to always agree with them.. You need to let them see you have a mind of your own. Although there are a number of jobs to deal with, you should be making reasonable progress in work, money and social affairs.

You may need time to regroup, rethink and plan. Yet being given the space to do precisely that seems unlikely. It`s probable that others are champing at the bit to move forward with their ideas- which you can see are not underpinned by sound practicalities. By midweek you could be pulled this way and that, particularly by a group or association which seems hellbent in moving in one direction when you wonder if they have considered all the options. Arriving at consensus and agreeing that perhaps you need a little more time together before moving forward might take a lot more than this week however. You are probably right to have identified someone who`s recently joined this team and has the expertise and energy needed to move a plan forward: it`s just that that might not happen this week.

Leo
Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

After the recent weeks` dramas, mostly about the past or powerful struggles involving others, you`ll be relieved to learn you`re now dealing with exciting, but less complicated, twists and turns. Many involve thrilling, if not overdue, changes in your own life or the circumstances of those closest. Forget about analysis. Instead, simply go with the flow. Things may be unsettling but they`re all about progress.

Home is where the heart is. No matter where you are or what you are doing, your thoughts are on family affairs. If you`re away on a business trip or travelling quite far away from home, you will still want to keep in touch with your family.. Going to a party or glamorous gathering will be fun. You will have some interesting conversations and someone might invite you to get involved with a fundraiser.

Others have likely been incubating plans but possibly don`t know how to present these to you. The friction that occurred back in November could yet resurface. The problem here is that someone may be absolutely determined to do things in a certain way that in the process they are compromising goodwill. You may need to put your foot down. Understanding as you may be of just how much someone has put into a project; you perhaps also need to make clear that things cannot stay as they have been. Whilst moving forward might feel as though you`re moving through treacle presently, it is perhaps worth remembering that in the last week (post the major Saturn Pluto alignment) that clearing up the past is a necessary step before moving on.

Virgo
Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

As a canny Virgo, you`re superb at spotting those who`re doing lots of talking but know little, versus trustworthy individuals. Yet even you could be drawn into exciting discussions only to discover they`re mostly hot air. For now, listen to everybody yet, urgent as decisions seem, avoid them. There`s lots more to learn, probably in early February. Once that`s clear, everything else will seem clearer as well.

You`re sensitive to other people`s needs and feelings. Friends will be grateful for your support but be careful about how much help you give them. Know when to bring the sympathy to an end or they will take advantage and this will keep you from getting on with your own plans. Someone is talking about travel but you will prefer the comfort of familiar surroundings. If a partner or friend has itchy feet, they`re going to have to exercise them, without you.

Whilst it might seem that others are questioning your expertise and yes, there may be times when you want to throw your toys out of the pram, the fact is that the whole world is getting used to new vibrations. Your particular ability to know details and, when required, access old notes might times put you in vulnerable position. The past is likely to be questioned many times over. That though is a theme that will likely continue for many weeks. Yet it`s probable that even ahead of the New Moon on Friday, a way forward can yet be found. It will perhaps also be the case that an opportunity will be presented that would allow you to do things very much your way. If you do have an entrepreneurial streak, it should surface. In fact, there may be much then for you to discuss over the weekend – including how best you can join with someone who has creative ideas and who`s willing to discuss new ways of working.

Libra
Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

With your ruler Venus accenting both practical matters and various obligations, you`re juggling duty but questioning your loyalty to those who`ve been unreliable. While, obviously, clarifying both the actual circumstances involved and your feelings is a priority, you`re eager to come to terms with these matters. Take it slowly. The time you invest in this process will pay off handsomely, and in many ways.

You are determined to make a good job of whatever you are doing. Just be careful that you don`t overdo it. Try to relax. Pace yourself if you are working on a big assignment. Trying to do too much at once can result in burnout. An award or recognition for your past hard work will make you feel more confident about your earning ability. This will help you inspire others as senior colleagues start to realise the extent of your capabilities.

Even ahead of Friday`s New Moon you may be pleased at the way a project is progressing. You may have found a working rhythm that pleases you at every level. True, this could come on the back of tough decisions taken as the Sun changes signs on Tuesday. The Sun`s entry into Aquarius also marks the start of those few weeks every year when your creative juices flow faster than usual. It might then be necessary to find a working space at home to pursue an interest that`s been dormant for some time but which you are determined to see flourish. It wouldn`t be so surprising if guests to your workspace arrived bringing with them ideas and concepts which they feel would benefit greatly from your input; and yes, they may be right in that this might be the start of a profitable union. In particular, anything to do with advertising or the Internet could now be ready to move to the next stage.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

You`ve long been stuck in several unrewarding situations. Now, suddenly, you`ve options to explore but are wary, mostly because they`d take you into unfamiliar territory. However, exploring these involves more than that. You may discover a solution or another, more appealing, option.. For now, the trick is to learn as much as you can, knowing that decisions can wait and that others aren`t actually under time pressure.

There is someone in your workplace or neighbourhood you would like to get to know better. A platonic relationship is slowly turning into a romance. A project you share together could be the start of something special and this experience will have a big impact on your life. Career related obstacles can easily be overcome. Try not to let it bother you when you come across problems. They may seem enormous at first but as you tackle them one by one, you will soon get over these hurdles.

Even ahead of Friday`s New Moon you could spot something gaining value. It is generally recognised that Scorpio is good at identifying bargains. Your antenna should be in excellent shape this week. True, momentarily on Tuesday you may be confused as to whether or not what`s on offer is really as good as you think. By asking just a few questions though, you could be assured and know precisely what action to take before Friday. True, with Uranus in your opposite sign, you might wonder if the person doing the selling is `crazed`. It may be that they need to be free of an item that now carries just too much responsibility for them. At a different level you could identify the revised aims and objectives of colleagues – even before these are announced. You might even start to think about the viability of joining forces – not yet, but soon.

Sagittarius
Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

While you`re by no means narrow-minded, you also avoid people and circumstances you know will be boring. Yet, ironically, you`re about to rediscover something exciting in a situation you`d long ago given up on. True, this may mean taking a chance. If so, judging by the current amazing planetary setup, it will be worthwhile. Once you`re involved, what and who you encounter will amaze you.

Responsibilities are heavy and you feel under pressure. Normally you`re the type who thrives on challenge but you`re also human and you need the occasional break. If you start getting headaches, stomach pains or back strain, try some relaxation techniques. There are lots of ways to relax that can also improve your health. You`re thinking about making some changes to your life but don`t share all your thoughts just yet. To do so might only bring problems as someone tries to block your path.

It`s possible that you are confusing others. They may be unclear as to what it is that you want to achieve. On Monday, expect to be questioned. By Tuesday, goals and objectives may not be so important. It`s then that you may be more concerned about general well-being and particularly, the care of those working closely with you but who don`t seem to be operating efficiently. Note that it`s not so many days since the alignment of Saturn and Pluto in neighbouring Capricorn. This heavy-duty combination is now separating, but will leave a legacy. It may be that certain people feel hard done by and be looking for reassurance that things can only get better. That`s entirely possible by the time Venus makes excellent aspect to your ruling planet, Jupiter, on Thursday. It`s then that you could find the resources (not necessarily financial), to pull someone out from underneath a cloud. In doing so, you could feel so much better about yourself and your prospects. Indeed, by the weekend, thought you might not be quite ready to plan and adventure, you may be excited about discussions and possibilities.

Capricorn
Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

The recent pair of eclipses, in late December and on 10 January, may have been about breakthroughs but you`re still wrestling with seemingly random changes. While, ordinarily, as a Capricorn you`d explore your options, the actual foundation on which plans are based has shifted which means beginning again. Tempting as it is to make plans, for now, explore. You`ll soon realise how vital this process is.

A new work direction will bring many new challenges.. You are ready for these and you will be able to handle the more practical aspects of this venture very efficiently. A group effort will prosper due to your influence. You are winning the respect and admiration of several people in the workplace. Finances, friendships and personal relationships are equally as blessed. Just watch for signs of excessive stress and fatigue. You need to look after your health.

It`s only a week since the Lunar Eclipse in your opposite sign and the alignment of the Sun, Saturn and Pluto in your own. This week should be seen as a time of recovery. It`s not that it can`t be unproductive or that you`ll necessarily feel negative all week. True, midweek with the Moon passing Capricorn it might seem that everything is an uphill struggle. That feeling surely won`t last. A fabulous aspect between Venus and Jupiter (also moving through your sign) coincides with a break in the clouds slightly ahead of Friday`s New Moon. You could yet be taken by surprise. In particular, your expertise could be commented upon. Perhaps that`s really all you need: a little acknowledgement of all the effort you`ve put in. This could come from a surprising quarter too. In fact, it might get you to think outside of your usual comfort zone and perhaps even consider an opportunity that would take you even further afield.

Aquarius
Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

Usually, you`re the first to come up with a plan; but recently you`ve probably organised and abandoned such arrangements several times. The powerful planetary activity involving your ruler Uranus and the Aquarius New Moon, on Friday the 24th indicating breakthroughs, the trick is to aim high but avoid finalising anything just yet. This gives you room into rethink existing plans and try out new ones.

You`re getting so caught up in the drama around you that you are forgetting your own needs. If you`ve made someone a promise, don`t forget this or dismiss this as being unimportant compared with other things that are going on. It isn`t. They are relying on you.. It will be hard to get a clear picture of your current financial situation. That`s because a number of things are up in the air. A Taurus friend will give some useful advice.

It`s only a week since the alignment of Saturn Pluto in neighbouring Capricorn. This is a heavy-duty cosmic signature that often brings with it the need to prune, practice austerity and generally hunker down. Yet that cosmic signature is now in the past. Those two planets are separating. Yes, these are still early days and there is still clearing up to be done. In the process you might spend an inordinate amount of time trying to retrieve items. Yet by the time the Sun makes aspect to one of your ruling planets, Uranus, on Thursday (coinciding with a fabulous aspect between Venus and Jupiter), you could yet turn up trumps. The fact that you do this ahead of the New Moon in your sign on Friday, suggests that you will be like the star of the show waiting in the wings ready to come on and give a stellar performance. It would be unsurprising if you felt the audience already rippling with excitement and yes, you`re right, all eyes may be on you next week. This week then it`s important to rehearse and to be prepared.

Pisces
Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Standing your ground isn`t just important, it both gives you time to think and serves notice on others that, if you`re to commit to a plan, you want all the facts, and immediately. While they may struggle with such a demand, you`re making it clear you`re unwilling to make compromises, which is what`s most important. For now, continue to explore. What you learn will be crucial.

Nothing seems to happen as expected which makes life interesting but frustrating, at times. Household repairs will go very well, even if you hadn`t planned on having to deal with these on top of everything else. You are coping well and should give yourself a pat on the back. If you`re waiting to hear the results of a mortgage or loan application, you may need to be patient. This is a good time to end old financial conditions in readiness for more appropriate ones.

For the most noble of reasons and before Friday`s New Moon, you might really want to help someone out.. It`s likely that they`ve got into a situation that is both unusual and chaotic. Though it may not be possible to put this right as such, you are probably correct in thinking that you could make something of a difference. Alerted by poor presentation most likely on Monday or Tuesday, you might also put yourself on amber alert. Generous as your intentions will probably be, it would be wise not to allow this situation to deflect from matters closer to home. It is likely that there are practicalities that you need to deal with. Recall that it`s not so many days since the alignment of Saturn and Pluto. You can think of this as a heavy chord playing in the sky. The sound is still reverberating. It will be some weeks yet before it`s gone completely. For now, along with others, you perhaps need to focus on clearing up the past. That said, as of Friday`s New Moon you could chase a new dream but yes, likely connected to the help you are offering.
