Light A Candle Today!
In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

Tarot Reading from Brigit at Biddy Tarot
Seven of Pentacles
This time of the year we are all thinking about and planning for the future. The Seven of Pentacles encourages you to think about the long-term and assess where you can best invest your time and energy.
If you have been putting your heart and soul into something, trust that your hard work will pay off. It’s easy to get frustrated when you aren’t seeing the results. This is your reminder to be patient and appreciate the progress that you have made so far.
Be grateful, focus on the present and do what you can with what you have.
Ask the Tarot: Am I investing my time and energy into the right activities?
Llewellyn’s Spell a Day
Mercury Retrograde Communication Spell
November 10, 2019 by Storm Faerywolf
This spell aims to remove blocks that would prevent us from effectively communicating our desires during Mercury retrograde. Here we will express ourselves on paper and use that as a means to distill our intentions and convey them magically to the intended recipient.
You will need:
• A pen and paper
• Dried lavender flowers
• Dried mint
• A blue candle
• A cauldron or fire-safe ash pot
Ground and center. Focus on the person (or persons) for whom this communication is necessary. Call out their name three times. Now write down whatever it is that you wish to convey to them. Express your absolute needs and boundaries, whatever it is that you need them to understand. Sprinkle the paper with the dried herbs and fold it in half, three times. Carefully burn the paper in the flame of the candle and then put it in the cauldron or pot. Scatter the ashes to the wind.
Now, when communicating further on this issue, remember the clarity with which you wrote, and draw from that experience to better elucidate your thoughts.
Take a Break
November 09, 2019 by Najah Lightfoot
Halloween is over, Samhain has passed, and the Day of the Dead is gone. After all the revelry, we may be a bit worn out.
Today, take a break. Although we are gearing down, the rest of the world is just getting started for the upcoming holidays. Say no to the world, just for today.
Give yourself permission not to answer your phone, check email, or log into social media accounts. If someone comes to your door, pretend you’re not home!
Stay in your pajamas. Go out without combing your hair. If that bothers you, put on a hat. Watch favorite movies or read a book. Be kind to yourself, because before you know it, the wheel will turn and you’ll be back, running here and there, to and fro, again!
Your Own Love Song
November 08, 2019 by Blake Octavian Blair
On this day in 1947, American singer-songwriter Minnie Riperton was born. She is most famous for her hit single “Lovin’ You.” Later in life, she continued to tour and record despite being diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer and given just months to live. Let’s let such talent, strength, and tenacity be an inspiration to us.
Today, try your hand at writing a song, chant, or poem about something you love, in honor of her hit song’s title “Lovin’ You.” Love is about more than romance, so really think about something you have a deep passion for. Get a pen and some paper. Set a piece of rose quartz near you and light a pink candle for a loving inspiration boost. After your writing session, safely snuff out the candle. When you’re finished with your own piece of musical love magic, find a friend you’re willing to share it with, and do so. You too can inspire others with your passions!

Depending on where you live, the water element might be manifesting itself as rain, snow, or fog at this time of year. Or you might live someplace where water is scarce. But no matter where you are, you can do this simple water magic. If it is precipitating outside in any form, set out a bowl to catch it. Otherwise, just use tap water, which came from the sky and the ground somewhere. Sit in a quiet room and scoop up a little water on your fingertips. Anoint first the top of your head, then your forehead, then your chest, then your abdomen. As you do so, say:
Bless my spirit with this water.
Bless my mind and my heart.
Bless the core of my body,
Made too of water, that is
the source of all life.
Thank you, water, for all that you do.
Wish Upon a Star
November 06, 2019 by Emyme
The Taurid meteor shower is happening in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres at this time. Sightings with the naked eye require patience—and comfort. Where I live, we bundle up and recline in the back yard, where there is less ambient light. Caution: if it’s warm enough, you may doze off and miss it. Sometimes the weather is too cold or cloudy. Sometimes a sighting happens by accident. The best sighting I ever experienced was when I was driving very early in the morning, waiting for a green light, and several meteors crossed my field of vision. Spectacular!
Plan a family viewing or be an audience of one. Wear appropriate clothing and provide soft items on which to recline, plus maybe binoculars and a telescope. Prepare your “shooting star” wishes. Settle in for one of the most amazing sights ever. Chant:
Streaks across the sky, hear my plea:
(Insert wish here.)
Delight and awe accompany thee!
The Path to Success
November 05, 2019 by Elizabeth Barrette
To cast a spell for success, you need a candle (gold, silver, or purple), a small square of cloth (same colors), a stone (alexandrite, sunstone, or lodestone), and an herb ( lemon, cinnamon, or clover). Consider your options and choose the ones that best resonate with your goal. Lay them all out on your altar. Light the candle and speak about your objective, what you need to succeed. Lay the stone on the cloth and cover it with the herb. Visualize the candlelight infusing them with energy. Tie the corners of the cloth together. Let the candle burn out.
Carry the charm with you. Touch it when you need to choose the path to success.
To Prepare the Home for Spirits
November 04, 2019 by Devin Hunter
Today Mercury is resting well in the sign of Scorpio, adding increased awareness of the spirit world and opening the lines of communication between our realm and those of our allies. Since the sun is also currently transiting the same sign, you are likely to find spirits in your home at this time, especially spirits of the dead.
Prepare for them by cleaning your home like you do when company is coming. Then set out a bowl of milk, a glass of wine or juice, a cup of coffee, and a few snacks. Light a white candle, and as you do so, set the space
From under and over,
From within and without,
From behind and before,
I open the door.
Spirits join me,
If you are of good will.
I’ve set this space
For you to fill!
Allow the candle to safely burn for several hours before extinguishing it.
Heartwings Love Notes 906 Sharing Some Wisdom
Heartwings says, “If you are lucky you learn from life as you live it, if not, you may get the lesson again until you do.”
Stephen and I were celebrating my birthday with my daughter and her fiancé. “Can you share some wisdom,” she asked, “things you have learned over the years?” I thought about it and nothing came to mind just then. Later that evening I realized she had given me a fine theme for my latest love note. I told her and she agreed. I began to think what I wanted to share with my readers. As I went to bed that night my mind continued to whirl with thoughts.
What might be the best place to start? What might be the most important lesson I had learned in my long life? Many possibilities occurred. The more I thought, the harder it became to choose from them. Finally I decided on several. My first is that life has been my best and most important teacher. I have had many wonderful teachers. Some have been helpful by providing an example not to follow. Others have provided guidance and support as I grew through their teachings. Yet life itself as I live it every day has helped me the most to learn and grew.
One example: Many years ago, when I was active as a folk singer, I was asked to perform a song in my church. I didn’t know it. Fearful of having to learn it and perhaps do it badly, I said no. Another performed it and I realized I ought to have said yes. The song wasn’t that difficult, and I would have done just fine. I learned from that not to let fear or vanity hold me back. Because I experienced the effect of my ill-advised decision first hand, I never turned down a request like that again. The reason life is such a good teacher is that personal experience always beats being told something. Also, if I don’t learn my lesson at the first opportunity, life gives me more chances.
Something else I’ve learned has been not to offer advice unless asked. No matter how well meaning my suggestions, or how perfectly I think I can solve someone’s problem, I do best to offer my sympathy and my support of their decision, not my advice. The third and final thought I have to share is that eventually everything–every experience and every relationship-good bad or indifferent, comes to an end. Once my life as I was living it took an unexpected turn, ending abruptly. I made a new life. I now know enough to enjoy whatever I have and whomever I am with at the time, because one day they will pass out of my life. What wisdom I possess has helped me greatly over the years, and I hope to continue to accumulate more a I learn and grow.
May your path in life grow smoother as you find the wisdom in your experiences.
Blessings and Best regards, Tasha <firstname.lastname@example.org>
PS Do you have some wisdom to share? If you don’t mind, I may pass it along anonymously to my readers if so. Thanks as always for your responses; I treasure them.
Back to the Basics
by Deborah Lloyd, Reiki Master
Is there anyone among us in the Reiki Rays community who is not living a too busy and complicated life? Is there anyone who is peaceful and calm, all the time? Is it even possible in today’s world? How can we hope for world peace, when it seems we cannot find it individually?
Reiki teaches us, again and again, that calmness is a possibility, beginning with intention and loving energies. Often, we are reminded our individual goals are attained through mind/body/spirit balance. Reiki assists in reaching, and maintaining, this balance no matter what problems and challenges we face in our daily lives.
Reiki reminds us to get back to the basics of this essential balance. Here are some basic areas we can explore each day:
Do I take time to meditate and/or pray?
Am I aware of the spiritual guidance available to me?
Do I check in with my spiritual guidance throughout the day?
Do I forgive those who hurt me, or slight me (or, do I hold grudges)?
Do I express gratitude for all the blessings in my life?
Are my actions based in love, not fear?
Is my self-talk positive (or negative)?
Am I aware of my thoughts during challenging times?
Do I think of myself as a beautiful being?
Do my thoughts lead to intentional, positive actions?
Are my thoughts about other people positive (or negative)?
Do I appreciate the power of the energies of my thoughts?
Do I eat a balanced diet?
Do I allow enough time for a good night’s sleep?
Do I exercise on a routine basis?
Have I eliminated harmful habits (smoking, drinking excessively, drugs, etc.)?
Do I love my physical body?
Do I give gratitude for my physical body?
The “basics” of any topic, thing, or intention is the foundation. It is not possible to build anything strong and long-lasting without a foundation – whether it is a bridge, a charitable organization, or a life. Frequently, in our own lives, we get so involved with all the minor, “surface-y” details, we tend to ignore the underlying and necessary structures. Before we know it, we have developed a stress-filled life, finding it difficult to live in peace and calmness. World peace will not occur until the vast majority of people live in a harmonious state.
Reiki is one of the best tools available to us to rediscover this essential balance. During Reiki, we rest in pure, perfect harmony, and we want to stay there. The solution is not to spend 23 hours a day in stress, and 60 minutes in Reiki peacefulness. The solution is to take the Reiki peacefulness into the other 23 hours of our days! Going back to the basics of mind/body/spirit balance is the foundation of establishing a Reiki lifestyle – and the first step to the establishment of world peace.

Tea time with friends can be turned into ceremony simply by the intention in which you prepare your tea.
Coffee may be the power beverage that gets us revved up in the morning and fuels us when we’re burning the midnight oil, but tea is the drink we turn to when we want to relax and be refreshed at the same time. Black, green, white, herbal, hot, or ice cold, tea is more than a soothing beverage. It can be a ritual, a cultural experience, and even a spiritual practice.
The reverence for tea has inspired ceremony in many cultures. From the spirituality of Chanoyu, the Japanese way of preparing and serving tea, to the sharing of Maté in Latin America, tea rituals are for celebration, ceremony, and relationship bonding. In China, tea rituals are part of many wedding ceremonies with the bride and groom serving their elder relatives in a show of respect and gratitude. The Chinese art of drinking and serving tea has been a source of inspiration for poetry and song. The Russian custom of chaepitie has inspired a unique style of teapots, caddies, teacups, and cozies. The samovar, a special brewing device, has become the symbol of the Russian tea ceremony and an object of art in its own right. Iced tea, popular in the U.S., as well as other parts of the world, is a modern ritual bringing cool relief on a sweltering summer day.
You can turn your own tea time with a friend into a simple ceremony by preparing your tea with the intention of offering nourishment and good wishes to the other person. When you are seated together, rather than drinking your tea right away, look at one another and express your gratitude and appreciation for your friendship. When you pour the tea, again intend it as an offering. Drink your tea slowly, savoring its flavor and aroma. Let its warmth or its coolness soothe your body. When you are finished drinking your tea, thank your friend for taking part in this nourishing ritual with you. Whether savored in the presence of another or tasted alone, the custom of drinking tea provides a soothing pause in our hectic world. Drinking tea can be a daily ritual that brings inner calm and clarity to the body, mind, and soul.

Mint honeys are a delicious way to prevent and treat winter miseries: the flu, colds, and coughs especially. I usually make mine just before the frost takes down the tender mints, but January is not too late to get some started if you have access to hardy mints. Overwintering rosemary, sage, thyme, and lavender appreciate a haircut about now, for lush spring growth.
Outdoor hardy mints are best harvested on a warm sunny day with care not to steal too much from the plants; leave them enough to get through the coming cold days.
To make your honey:
Fill a jar with your hardy mint, best if you cut it fairly fine.
Pour real honey over the herb in the jar. No need to use raw honey; since you will be using these herbal honeys to make tea with boiling water, it won’t be raw after you brew it up. See if you can buy local honey. One of the ways to counter colony collapse in the beehives is to encourage more small scale beekeepers. The best way to encourage them is to buy their honey. (Smile) You may wish to view Vanishing of the Bees, an interesting look at colony collapse by Ellen Page.
After you have filled your jar with fresh herb and honey, put a tight lid and a label on it. Then the hard part: Wait for six or more weeks.
Once your hardy mint honey is ready (in about 4 weeks), you need only scoop a large spoonful of the herb and honey into a cup, fill with boiling water and drink. Wow! Instant herb tea.
Yes, you can eat the honeyed herbs in your tea cup if you want to, or just add them to your compost pile when you have finished your tea. (The leaves tend to fall to the bottom of the cup.)

Why Modern-Day Foragers Want You to Eat Weeds for Dinner
By Wilder Davies
Thistles, a kind of flowering plant often covered in angry-looking prickles, are probably not an ingredient in any of your go-to recipes. But Katrina Blair wants you to try eating them anyway. “I love to take the root, fresh or dry, and blend them into a chai,” she says. She also recommends combining the greens with lemons, apples and water for a refreshing lemonade – just be sure to strain out the spikes, she warns. Blair, 50, is the founder of Turtle Lake Refuge, a Durango, Colorado-based nonprofit that advocates for, among other things, foraging and eating weeds and other plants most people consider a nuisance, not lunch.
“I think eating weeds is a fantastic addition to someone’s diet,” says Blair, who’s enthusiastic about foraging as both a hobby and lifestyle. Others clearly agree: Foraging how-to videos have racked up hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube, while millions of foraging-related photos have been posted to Instagram. One public park in the United Kingdom had a 600% increase in unauthorized foraging incidents last year.
It’s tempting to dismiss foraging as a strange, Internet-driven health fad. But experts say there can be real benefits to putting your garden scraps on the dinner table. At present, just 103 kinds of crops account for 90% of calories in the average human diet, according to food security research group Biodiversity International. Only four – wheat, maize, rice and potatoes – provide 60%. “We have this incredible biodiversity on earth, but our human diets have become more and more dependent on a very limited number of species,” says Ina Vandebroek, an ethnobotanist at the New York Botanical Garden. If disease or climate change puts those crops at risk, it could leave us scrambling for alternatives. So why not try broadening our intake before disaster strikes?
Still, Vandebroek cautions that foraging is a risky activity. For as many wild plants there are that could find a spot on the dinner table, just as many could land a careless eater in the emergency room. Some toxic plants, like hemlock and deadly nightshade, can be mistaken for edible doppelgängers. And certain ingredients, like morel mushrooms, are safe once cooked but poisonous if eaten raw. The growth in amateur foraging has only underscored these risks. In 2018, health publisher Rodale released and subsequently recalled a foraging recipe book by blogger Johnna Holmgren after it became apparent that some of the recipes included poisonous ingredients, like uncooked elderberries.
For foragers, it’s vital that they know exactly what a plant actually is before they try eating it. Vandebroek says botanist James A. Duke’s Handbook of Edible Weeds is a good introductory resource but stresses the safest way to forage is to go alongside an expert. “Botanical identification is a skill you have to learn, and you have to be careful before you put something in your mouth,” she says. Allergic reactions can also be a hazard; Vandebroek suggests that foragers eat only a small amount of any new plant to better tell how their body might react to it.

Take the time today to really notice and appreciate the beauty that surrounds you.
Sometimes we go through whole days without really tuning in to the beauty of nature that surrounds us. We have a habit of seeing it without really taking it in, yet once we begin to notice it we treat ourselves to an exquisite realm of subtle, complex scents, miraculous forms, and ethereal light. The natural world enriches our entire being through the vehicles of our senses. When we are low, nature lifts our spirits. When we are tired, it rejuvenates us–if we pause long enough to drink from its beauty. If you have fallen out of the practice of taking time to observe the light as it filters through the leaves of a tree, or the concentric rings a raindrop makes as it plops into a puddle, you can retune yourself by dedicating a day to noticing the beauty in nature.
On this day, one possibility is to rise early enough to see the sunrise. Watching the sky change colors and the world emerge from darkness is an experience that will influence the whole rest of your day in ways that words cannot describe. Or simply observe the quality of the morning light as it infuses the world with its particular pale golden beauty. You may let the light play on your own hand, remembering that you are also part of the natural world. Let your intuition guide you to the elements of nature that call to you throughout the day, such as the sound of the wind as it shakes and sways a tree or the feeling of snowflakes landing on your warm eyelids and cheeks.
After you devote one day to opening your eyes more fully to the beauty of nature, you may want to make this part of your daily routine. Each day drink from the beauty all around you, and allow it to rejuvenate your entire being. All you have to do is pause, for just one minute, and really take it in, remembering to thank Mother Nature for her beauty.
An Excursion in Time 6

The Sunday morning of the eclipse, the church was unusually chilly. Perhaps the boiler was taking its revenge by withholding heat. Parishioners, and especially those members of Board knew it was only a matter of time before a new furnace would be mandatory. But for now, everyone seemed to be counting pennies and not wanting to touch an already shrinking endowment.
“Good morning Parson and Mrs. Willkie,” a short cheerful woman greeted them. She had a deep smile and streaks of color in her hair. The rest of her was hard to distinguish; she was huddled in a thick faux fur coat which kept the rest of her body hidden.
“We are all so looking forward to hearing you preach and tell us of your experiences serving our troops.”
Parson Willkie nodded. He couldn’t help but wonder what this woman was talking about. She couldn’t be meaning Shiloh. That was way long ago from this time. Perhaps a taste for war lingered nd had become a continual part of their culture. He smiled graciously and took her extended hand. “True wars are never won,” he said softly.
“Yes,” she nodded. “I’m Rev Camera, Rose Camera, welcome.”
“But you’re a woman,” he started to blurt but abruptly stopped. Everything about this world seemed unduly strange, however why not women in the clergy? If that was God’s will who was he to argue?
Mercy immediately noticed that no one, except the minister was dressed in their Sunday best. “I’m Mercy,” she said. “Thank you for your gracious kindness putting us up in the Parsonage these past two days.” Remembering how her Great Aunt Alice always smiled and extended her hand when meeting someone new she reached for the minister’s hand.
Smiling graciously, Rose Camera shook Mercy’s hand. She couldn’t help wondering why her clothes were so antique and out of fashion. Perhaps Parson Willkie was part of a fundamentalist sect, and the women were required to dress that way.
“It must be difficult,” Mercy began, having so many impoverished congregants.”
Rev. Camera nodded and thinking Mercy was referring to how chilly it was inside the sanctuary said “Once the choir leads us in hymns, we’re all considerably warmer.”
Meanwhile during another moment in time, Adam and Ann were shivering. “Good morning,” Adam reached across the narrow bed and hugged Ann. A cold wind blew against the old house. “Guess nobody knows yet about insulation.”
“Didn’t we recently agree to have our house insulated.” She kissed him.
He yawned. “Yes, when we come up with the money. You think there’s a connection?”
“Who knows? Minnie says there’s no such thing in life as a coincidence; that everything has some sort of obscure meaning. I can’t help wondering if we’d gotten a construction loan and had it done, we’d be experiencing such drafty cold now?”
He scoffed. “I don’t see how whatever we did in the future could make any difference here in the past That seems to me to be very horse before cart.”
“Assuming we’re really living in the past,” she said. “For all we know we could be experiencing the flip side of our present. You know how sometimes our computers have glitches and bring up the wrong data or program for no apparent reason?”
“It’s too early for me to think that way.” He jumped out of bed and dressed quickly. “Perhaps, irrational as it may seem, if all time is happening at once, then past, present and future are irrelevant.”
“A wrinkle or some kind of blip in time maybe?” She climbed out of bed and dressed. “But I would guess that occasionally some sort of glitch could kick in.” She looked at him and smiled, “Especially if one tries to use ancient alchemical principles to navigate themselves through time.”
“Won’t disagree with you there. We’d best have coffee and get to church. I wouldn’t want us to be ostracized or even arrested for sleeping in.” He grinned. “After all, We’re not in the permissive 21st century.” Huddled against the spring wind, they set off quickly.
Meanwhile in their current space and time, and filled with curiosity, Mercy and Jeremiah had explored their surroundings, and during their walk Saturday afternoon Mercy had discovered an apothecary. Using a few dollars she found in a cup in the kitchen, she acquired a small jar of relaxing leg cream. It seemed to have helped ease the constant pain in his amputated left leg. He was grateful for her caring and grew fonder of her every day.
Now it was Sunday, and the church was quite full with those who had come to hear the Parson preach. After an assortment of announcements and musical renditions, Rose Camera introduced him, and he stood at the pulpit. He looked out at the strange assortment of impoverished church members. Many of the men wore tight fitting tee shirts with words like Giants, Eagles, Devil Rays or Yankees emblazed on their chests. He shook his head. Cults he thought.
He cleared his throat. “Who am I to judge another being,” he began. “Living in the wake of war, of ravishment, devastation and loss of loved ones can stretch each of us here beyond ourselves, forcing us to turn away from God and embrace false idols.”
Parishioners stirred in their pews. An odd murmuring whispered through the church.
As the light began to dim, he raised his voice. “We must find our own way to inner peace and salvation else be enslaved by the evils of lucre. But remember, vengeance is mine spaketh the Lord.”
It grew darker still. Mercy ran up to the pulpit and clutched the Jeremiah’s hand. He glanced around. His vision wavered. The parishioners appeared to fade from his sight. He threw his arms around Mercy. The pulpit began to shake, and then there was a loud noise. He felt as though he were being whirled through time and space.
When the church grew bright again, it was filled with a babble of exclamations. The Parson and his wife were gone.

Weekly Horoscopes Beginning Sunday, 10 November 2019
If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.
Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.
Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19
Your horoscope for this week:
While you`ve often complained about being overwhelmed by your many responsibilities, at the moment it`s the reverse. Judging by the powerful planetary emphasis on joint ventures and on those closest, either you`ll be making decisions together or, often, you`ll be excluded entirely. This is irritating; but, also, it`s offering a welcome opportunity to learn from how others approach both obstacles and intriguing ideas or offers.
You’ve been impatient to hear from someone overseas or from a friend who is planning to travel. You feel you can`t make plans around a certain date until they`ve confirmed their intentions. You might wish others hadn’t left it to you to make group travel arrangements. A relative will have some good news and this will banish worries you may have had about their health or a recent incident.. You might think about improving your own health through regular exercise and a nutritious diet.
Mercury might still be retrograde but on the work front, it seems that you are anything but. You could push things forward greatly. That, in part may be due to the fact that you`ve been developing a strategy. What you’ve dredged up from the recesses of your mind or retrieved from being archived, could have real value. Indeed, you could astound a few people by identifying exactly what`s important and how best to use that information. Anticipate a flurry of meetings and talk opportunities between Wednesday and Friday. Consider too, that there`s high probability of forming what could become a key alliance with someone who`s been weakened by recent stresses but who has a very clear vision as to what could be achieved in 2020 but who clearly needs you as much as you need them.
Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20
Your horoscope for this week:
Even if you weren’t into astrology, you`d still be aware of the heightened feelings triggered by Tuesday`s Taurus Full Moon. However, because you`re in the midst of a period of exciting, and extended, change, you could lack clarity about what`s going on or, alternatively, feel a bit overwhelmed. The solution? Take a philosophical approach. Forget about far-reaching decisions and live one day at a time.
A rebellious friend is planning something that could get them into trouble. If you`re concerned about someone who is indulging in risky behaviour, have a quiet word with a member of their family who might step in and help out. A job that crops up later in the week is crying for your expertise. It won`t be easy to fit it into your schedule but you can do this. Here`s your chance to show everyone what you are capable of.
Mercury is still retrograde in your opposite sign. At one level it might seem that the people who should be moving forward are doing anything but. Yet all could change this week. If you like, cosmic mission papers are about to be served. You might conclude that it`s down to something you say around the Full Moon on Tuesday. Yet it`s as likely that a certain person has now realised the importance of certain information and items and knows which should be treasured and which moved or sold on. There`s also the high probability of increased contact with those who live and work far away. With their support you could make plans for early 2020 – even perhaps agreeing a down payment before the end of this week.
Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20
Your horoscope for this week:
You’ve a talent for turning even entirely unexpected events into something wonderful, for you and as often, for others. However, with the foundation on which arrangements are based shifting, you`re better off adopting an experimental approach. You`ll soon be exploring ideas so new, or so far out, you can`t really think in terms of everyday plans. While you won`t pursue all of these, each will offer valuable insights.
Someone in the family is feeling neglected. If you live with them, they`re unhappy about the amount of time you`re spending away from home. An older relative is expecting a visit from you and they`re about to give up on ever seeing you again. You need to strike a balance between your family life and outside commitments. A friend has ideas beyond their pockets. Instead of trying to keep up with their extravagant ways, hold on to your money. Someone has to be the sensible one.
Your ruling planet is still retrograde and this week passes over the face of the Sun. This is an unusual event that only happens roughly 13 times in any century. You could think this as the postman making delivery. The fact that all this is happening in the `working` or `day to day` sector of your solar chart suggests the potential for a dramatic change of schedule. True, this could be driven by health needs. It might also be that you agree to move into a new area altogether. This might not begin until the beginning of next year, but the process start as the Moon passes through your sign between Wednesday and Friday. It seems likely too, that you now have someone very firmly working on your side; perhaps recognising that you have valuable expertise yet to be put to good use.
Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22
Your horoscope for this week:
Judging by the current planetary setup, you`ve been rethinking both long-term and more recent alliances, some personal, others involving worldly pursuits. In each, the issue is who`s in charge and, equally, practical and financial matters. This alone is challenging but, also, your circumstances will be shifting regularly. The trick is to regard arrangements as more of an experiment than anything lasting. That can come later.
Compromise and consideration will be the best way of getting the most out of your relationships. In a close and loving partnership, you may have to try extra hard to understand your other half`s feelings. Some people find it difficult to express their emotions. A generous offer or gesture made to a person in need of some help will be accepted with gratitude. You may not realise how many people respect you and welcome your advice and company.
Don`t panic, but there is a Full Moon on Tuesday; and yes, it does seem important given that this could coincide with developments at home and at work. Of course, there are things happening all the time: what`s different now is that a major repair needs to be discussed as much as the possibility of moving into a slightly different career field. Mercury transits the face of the Sun – which is interesting if for no other reason other than it`s an event that only happens about 13 times in every century. Mercury is the communications director of the zodiac and you could think of this as post being delivered. It may be that at long last your work is discussed and suggestions made as to how you could develop one of your very considerable talents in 2020. It might even be that a Gemini is behind these proposals..
Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22
Your horoscope for this week:
You`re in a period of amazing change and growth. Thrilling as events are, the focus is miles away from what you`ve been doing. Actually, that`s timely and brilliant. While you`ve been dwelling on familiar pursuits, the world around you has changed. Now, your thinking and focus must change, too. While, initially you`ll be puzzled, you`ll soon wonder why you waited so long to make those changes.
Difficulties connected with finances or your job situation might keep you on tenterhooks. You`ve done everything you can to rectify this problem but some things are outside your control. Try not to let this prey on your mind. It is up to others now to play their part.. Events this week will seem to go by in slow motion. At times it might feel as if your life is in rewind. Even tasks you usually find simple will demand an enormous amount of energy.
If you haven`t already begun one, then think about having a clear-out. Mercury is retrograde at the base of your solar chart and whatever you can achieve before Wednesday would no doubt later prove to have been a worthwhile exercise. In clearing things out, you should also include spring cleaning your mind. It`s entirely possible that you`re holding onto thoughts that are inappropriate for the present time.. The fact is that after Mercury transits the face of the Sun midweek, very strong aspects involving Jupiter (still passing through one of the Fire signs), suggest you could come up with near genius ideas. You need to make room for these. Note too, that you could get extra ordinary assistance from someone born under either Cancer or Capricorn who understand exactly the need to lay new foundations.
Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22
Your horoscope for this week:
Because you invest serious time and thought in plans, it`s rare that a rethink is necessary. However, with your ruler Mercury retrograde, so triggering questions about both past arrangements and existing plans, you`re being forced to review everything. This is wise. With changes continuing well into January, the more flexible the arrangements you make, and your own ideas about the future, the better.
Disagreements over a legal or financial matter will interfere with domestic harmony. You feel torn between giving in to a loved one`s wishes or to stand your ground. It would be better to compromise and stand by each other when times get tough. Friends will be happy to go along with your ideas for having fun in the evenings. Time spent with casual companions will remind you that there`s more to life than work and responsibility.
It wouldn`t be too surprising if someone asked you to retrieve information. It may be that a strategy, a pattern or a way of working has been forgotten. It might also be that though you don`t have that information at your fingertips, that it`s not far away and you know exactly who would give assistance. Your ruling planet, Mercury, transits the face of the Sun – an event that only happens about 13 times in every century. On its own it indicates nothing: though you could view it as the postman delivering an important message. It won`t be at all surprising if you come up with a genius idea that is based on the retrieval of this information and which then leads to constructive plans being laid for next month.
Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22
Your horoscope for this week:
When your ruler Venus moved to accent an exchange of ideas, on 1 November, you began a cycle that`s been about exactly such discussions. However, the mood`s been tricky and others have been under pressure to turn ideas into decisions, all of which has led to tensions. The solution? Continue talking, but in general terms. Those long-term plans can wait until things are more settled.
Your mind overflows with creative ideas. Some will have practical potential; others will be unrealistic. Still, you will enjoy your daydreams and fantasy helps to break the monotony of your usual routine. There will be a formal feel to social arrangements. Even so, romance will figure largely in the program so don`t be surprised if you detect an air of suppressed excitement within your social world in the weekend. Discussions will lead to some pleasing agreements.
It might easily feel as though you`re perpetually going backwards and never forward. Your ruling planet is moving through Sagittarius and no doubt you want to expand your boundaries. Yet Mercury is retrograde. Whether it`s because you are cash-strapped or there are other limitations, it may not be possible to move forward quite as you would wish. Yet all that will change after Mercury transits the face of the Sun midweek. Though you may not be able to do what you want to do immediately, you could perhaps start making plans. Note that in a few weeks` time, Jupiter will arrive at the very base of your solar chart- and for a year-long stay. The base is your assets department and Jupiter is all about accumulation of information and knowledge. It may be time to think about what it is that you want to learn in the coming year. You might also need to give serious thought as to how you live and work from home and whether or not space could be used more imaginatively.
Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21
Your horoscope for this week:
Between the Scorpio New Moon and the ideas planet, Mercury being retrograde in your sign, in late October, November has been about dealing with the unexpected. While, initially, you were confused, gradually you`ll recognise every twist and turn as being about new ideas, if not breakthroughs; and planning ahead? Be patient. There are lots more exciting, if surprising, events yet to come before it`s all settled.
A message from on old friend will be one of several similar communications. Prepare yourself for a number of face to face and online interactions. If you are arranging a group venture, devise a way you can all work together to achieve a mutual goal. You can turn your hopes for the future into reality by keeping an eye out for the right opportunities. Changes that are ahead will affect a number of people. Some will find it easier to adapt than others.
Mercury is still retrograde in your sign and this week will appeared travel over the face of the Sun. This could bring a moment of illumination. True you may not begin to act on plans until Mars arrives in Scorpio on 19th. This though could be a week of serious preparation. Gathering support and renewing contact with those who either live and work far away or who are involved in a course of study could ensure success. Indeed, a strategy that they are intent on applying from midweek might appeal to you greatly. At a different level, you might also be asked to help either with an archiving project, with distributing someone`s estate or with house clearance. In some way, it appears you will be actively involved in preparing the ground the new developments.
Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21
Your horoscope for this week:
While you can`t realistically say `yes` to every idea or offer, with your ruler Jupiter positioned in Sagittarius until early December, you`re urged to explore absolutely everything, including what`s unappealing. The coming weeks are about discovery, not making long terms arrangements. That`s next. For now, focus on exploration and who you meet. Then, as you move into next year, you`ll begin to shape those ideas into those plans.
A new partner may not be able to satisfy your need for excitement and adventure. You will both agree to continue to pursue your independent interests while remaining together. This arrangement might feel strange at first but it will make for an interesting relationship. The time is right for you to start working towards a special goal. There will be a lot of hard work ahead but you wouldn`t want it any other way. You`re ready for a challenge.
Reviewing your long-term goals and yes, giving careful the to the legacy you want to leave would likely not be a bad approach. Mercury transits the face of the Sun: an event only happens roughly 13 times in every century. You could view this as marking a full stop: it marks an ending or change of pace. Perhaps it`s the case that there are matters you need to wrap up before you can move on. True you might not complete all of this until Mars arrives in your sign at the beginning 2020. Yet as you well know, preparation is key. It is said that it takes 10,000 hours to perfect a skill. This week it appears you are ready to assess where you are on that journey and to adjust your strategy if necessary. It may be that in this quest you are aided by a Libra who, at least for the moment, wants to be part of his journey.
Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19
Your horoscope for this week:
You tend to put off relaxing until tasks are dealt with and the future organised; but judging by the planetary activity now and well into January, that`s unrealistic. The trick is to decide and do what you can, knowing that as you learn more, you can get more done. This also allows you to restore your energy and sense of optimism before you plunge in again.
In both your workplace and social life, scandals of all sorts are keeping everyone gossiping and guessing. Although you will be intrigued by what`s said, it would be better to keep out of it. Someone has interpreted a situation wrongly and the rumours are untrue. You`re a perfectionist and you are working hard to get the result you want. To keep on top of things, you may have to make fast decisions and act quickly. As long as you do your best, that`s all that matters.
Whilst it is inadvisable to look at the Sun, those with the right equipment will see that this week, Mercury transits its face. This is something that only happens roughly 13 times in every century. For Capricorns this could mark acceptance of the closing of one chapter and the enormous possibilities of the next.. It would be unsurprising if you were actively involved in networking. Indeed, it could be that by reconnecting with those who were once in your industry and who`ve moved on elsewhere that you realise other options. It isn`t necessarily the case that you are ready to change career entirely, but it does appear that by January 2020 when there is a large grouping of planets in your sign, that you will give careful thought as to how you use your expertise. It may be that a skill learnt in one place can be usefully deployed elsewhere. Yes, from Wednesday through to Friday it may seem that you have too much on your plate to give this full attention. Yet it seems the future is beckoning and that a key introduction will be made.
Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18
Your horoscope for this week:
Just when you thought you`d dealt with the past months` exciting but unsettling changes; you`re faced with yet more surprises. True, these are worryingly unfamiliar. However, they`re exciting, so much you`re eager to explore. Do exactly that, discussing every possibility but sidestepping any but the most reliable of commitments. Why? Things are still shifting in the world around you, and there are yet more opportunities to come.
A seminar, workshop, meeting or appointment you were trying hard to avoid could turn out to be highly enjoyable. Be sure to attend group gatherings as information shared or discussions that take place will be too important to miss. Work matters will forge rapidly ahead thanks to a colleague`s support and the close attention they`ve been giving to detail. You will need to be quick and active to translate ideas into activity.
Is it possible that you`ve had enough of one working situation? Mercury`s transit of the face of the Sun is something that only happens roughly 13 times in every century. It doesn`t always occur at the apex of your solar chart either. The fact that this is happening now suggests a moment of reflection about where you`re going and why. A strong possibility is that you will uncover information that leads you to believe that others are not behaving honourably. This wouldn`t just be distasteful to you; it would be morally repugnant. You might need to stand your ground. Between Wednesday and Friday when the Moon passes through another of the Air signs, you could give as good as you get. Not only does it appear that you`ll push through points, you might also make it clear exactly what could and should be improved. By the weekend, growing respect for the way in which you approach difficult matters has the potential to lead to the suggestion that you make yourself available for a key meeting at the end of November.
Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20
Your horoscope for this week:
Your biggest challenge isn`t new. It`s to put yourself first, before others. Recent events left you little choice but to do lots of juggling. Now, with things either settled or an opportunity to make timely changes, you`re urged to plunge in. Don`t feel guilty and, importantly, take all the time you need to. Once your own life is organised, the rest will be a lot easier to deal with.
Some people won`t be as cooperative as you expected. Plans you felt were well constructed and bound to bring good results will be changed at the eleventh hour. You can`t believe how unreliable a friend turns out to be and you won`t trust them with anything important in the future. Taking care of household chores will be in top of your list of priorities. If you can get others to lend a hand, these tasks won`t be so time consuming.
True, it may be that health matters require particular attention. Perhaps not because is anything particularly wrong, but because you want to keep a check on things. That would presumably be particularly true between Wednesday and Friday. You may well be right to adopt a stitch in time approach. On the work front, it`s possible that material has not been archived correctly. Putting this right will no doubt bring you to the attention of those who should have had a strategy and who are only now realising that certain items are valuable. In short, your job for much of this week seems to be about organising and reorganising. This though, should put you in really good stead for developments due to take place in just over a week`s time and which have the potential to give you recognition if not actual reward.
