Light A Candle Today!
In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

Tarot Card of the Week

The card drawn for this week is the Seven of Pentacles

The Seven of Pentacles shows that you understand the value of putting in time and energy now for longer-term rewards and have a strong desire to invest in sustainable results. You are not looking for quick wins. You also want to make sure you are putting your attention on the right areas instead of wasting time and effort on tasks that will not deliver any value.

This is your invitation to step back from the day-to-day operations and look at the bigger picture. Celebrate what you have created and assess your progress so far. Are you on track? Are you focused on the right tasks for your goal?

If you have been working hard or putting the extra effort into something challenging and important for the last few months, the endeavour or project is near its culmination. Rest assured, your hard work will pay off. You are likely to see financial or other tangible rewards for all of your hard work.

Ask the Tarot: “Am I investing my time and energy into the right activities?”

September Monthly Astro Forecast
by Rubys Readings
September time seems to have some wonderful opportunities that we just haven’t experienced in awhile, so why not read on to learn how these Cosmic Connections are going to affect you and your life for the month.

A New Moon at the end of August helped kick off September time, and with the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars all in the sign of Virgo we are best off during the first week of the month to work on organizing, editing, and paying attention to the details of our health and work. This is a very fertile and productive time, and is good for freeing ourselves from situations that are restricting or limiting us from finding happiness in our daily lives, routines, work, and health. With all of the personal planets in the sign of practical Virgo, we can create some sort of harmony, and they are all harmonizing with Saturn and Pluto, but are also bumping up against Jupiter and Neptune this month. So we have many opportunities to get our lives together, but we may have to let go of our high expectations.
September 3: Sun conjuncts Mars
When these two strong energizers come together, the energy alone can be productive but also can create a lot of friction, the choice is yours on just where you want to direct this amazing energy. It’s important to be strong and confident but do not allow yourself to get into little ego battles. With both planets in practical Virgo, this is a good few days to work on projects or too get involved in something near and dear to your heart that involves helping others.

September 9: Mars trines Saturn
We can be much more disciplined but productive at this time, as this stong energy creates a harmonious influence. This helps make it easier to organize and harness these energies to make good use of. Mars in helpful Virgo and Saturn in more ambitious Capricorn can help us make detailed plans to reach our goals. Just make sure to take advantage of this hard-working energy so you can get things organized in your life.

September 14: Full Moon in Pisces
The Full Moon on the 14th occurs in the sign of Pisces at the same time as a Mars-Neptune opposition. Pisces is considered to be the most sensitive sign of the Zodiac, and under the Full Moon energy both are known for amplifying emotions. This can be a very overwhelming time, where we just aren’t feeling as tough as usual, so be sure to be extra careful with others as they are feeling emotionally vulnerable and sensitive as well, and you may not know what other folks are feeling or going through. Make sure and get plenty of downtime to not only replenish your energy but to also calm your nerves.
This Full Moon is trying to remind us that we all need to pay extra close attention to our spiritual and emotional wellness. The way we find balance at this time is to express what we need on a spiritual level while maintaining our everyday lives. Under these energies, we can either choose to live in chaos or order, and with the Mars-Neptune opposition at play, there also can be a stronger sense of urgency as we try to restore balance, and some uncertainty, as we learn what’s real and not. As it’s a good time to Zen it out folks and maybe do some meditation, affirmations, journal-writing, listen to calming music, or exercise, whatever you do just do anything that feeds your soul and helps you connect to your spirituality, whatever that may look like.

September 14: Mercury enters Libra
During this cycle is a great time to work on resolving recent conflicts, arguments, and misunderstandings as the planet of communication enters the more accommodating sign of Libra. Under this influence we just want to get along with everyone really, with all the chaos and turmoil over the summer, the world can use this energy to help us make amends as it is easier to apologize or to at least try to get along. This can be a wonderful time to be more social and get together with friends and family.
September 14: Venus enters Libra
The planet of love, beauty, and relationships enters its home sign of love and relationships. We have had more than our fair share of challenges this year, so this is a wonderful opportunity to refocus on what really matters to us the most, from the heart! This can include the people who were there for us the most. If you have had some sort of rift or conflict with someone lately, this is an ideal time to fix things. So put your differences aside and find some common ground to meet in the middle on. Even if you are one who likes to be more alone, this lovely energy can lead you into being more social or at least being around someone. Since the planet Venus and the sign of Libra both are about what is beautiful, it is a good time to pamper oneself, but we must be careful about putting up appearances just to keep the peace, as we might hold back on saying how we are really feeling or be way too superficial. Take this time to tap into your creative side and do some redecorating or spend some time somewhere that is beautiful to you. This runs through October 8.

September 18: Saturn goes direct
Saturn that planet of rules and Lord of Karma, finally turns direct form it’s Retrograde phase. This influence is real big on reminding us about taking care of our responsibilities, and bringing our heads out of the clouds so we can deal with any plans or goals we have here on planet Earth! In the mood for a Reality Check? During this time anything we are not taking care of and what we need to be focusing on, can be up in our face to deal with. We can feel quite slowed down at this time, but that doesn’t mean you are not making progress towards reaching your goals. Just don’t rush things as Saturn adjusts itself back to its normal pace from its Retrograde Cycle. So for the rest of the month you can come across blocks, restrictions, and even some limitations, and it will seem like opportunities are not happening or that certain people are not cooperating, but this won’t last for long. Over time we will gradually be able to meet long-term goals and plans will start to become more clear. Ask yourself where you want to be at by the end of the year, and what would you like to achieve. And stay focused on your goals. Anything that Saturn is involved in is about hard work, and that will bring in the greatest rewards. So don’t try to take shortcuts now, instead pick yourself up by your bootstraps and get to work. Simply figure out what it is you want and commit your time and energy to that project or goal. Here over the next few months, you will be glad you did because rewards will start to really show up.
September 21: Jupiter Squares Neptune
Jupiter gets into one last tense meeting with foggy Neptune in a set that first formed back in January. This transit pulls on us as we struggle with our expectations, faith, and drams. This is a time when we can be more easily MISLEAD, whether by others or by our own unrealistic expectations. We may have to deal with consequences from being disorganized or exaggerating certain details of our lives, or for being neglectful or extravagant when buying things.
This energy tends to cause restlessness, as our everyday routines can feel quite unsatisfying now. This is a time when we can more easily take shortcuts and detours from our everyday routines. We can be fooled, tricked, or disillusioned by someone or something, so keep a watchful eye out and be careful and don’t avoid the truth. We can also start to form some new beliefs or philosophies, and try to justify why we are avoiding certain issues. This dense energy can cause folks to wander and be more confused, from a lack of being grounded. But that also means we can come up with more open-minded ideas. We just may have bigger issues with setting and keeping boundaries up for ourselves. It’s important this week to stay in reality to the best of your ability, by setting some rules around your routines and regular schedules. This influence can give us some inspiration spiritually speaking as we let go of old false beliefs, expectations, and dreams that were going nowhere in the first place.
During this same time Jupiter also gets into a somewhat challenging aspect with wild Uranus, and this to causes more high anxiety and restlessness, especially if our dreams are not forming and don’t seem to feel fulfilling or are inspiring us. Watch yourself this week for going off on some strange tangent or trip to nowhere, as we can get into the strangest, oddest situation that are completely impractical.

September 23: Sun enters Libra
The Sun shifts once again around the Zodiac and as it does every September and enters the sign of Libra. This is also the Autumnal Equinox north of the equator and the Spring Equinox in the southern hemisphere of the planet. This is a special energy that helps us to find balance in our lives as we prepare for this new season. Oddly enough the word Equinox comes from the Latin word that means Equal. Libra is the sign of balance, fairness, and equality. So use this influence and spend some quality time with family and friends. The Sun will remain in Libra through October 23.

September 28: New Moon in Libra
To close out the month a New Moon occurs in the sign of Libra, this is indeed a social time that is filled with the hope and promise of New Beginnings. Luckily, also during this time lovely Venus and lucky Jupiter make a beautiful connection that can have you feeling more optimistic and cooperative. This is time for taking care of and nurturing any relationships you want to see grow and become stronger, or even just more important. This is also a good time for negotiations and partnering, and we can find ways to solve conflicts.
If you are already in a committed relationship, any time you spend together during this cycle can really strengthen the bonds you already have. Do things that make you happy or that are more pleasurable as Libra is ruled by Venus and all things that are considered to be beautiful. So take long walks, plan out a mini-vacay, go out to eat at your fav restaurant, or go see a love-themed movie. If you are interested in meeting someone new, get out there and mingle during this time folks and attend special events and accept those invites because you just might meet someone special.

Have a Great September folks,

Llewellyn’s Spell A Day

Golden September
September 01, 2019 by Najah Lightfoot

Today is the first day of September. The wheel has turned and autumn is not far behind. Perhaps where you live, trees are beginning to change color or squirrels are starting to bury winter stocks in the ground.

September is a month of change. Take a moment to reflect on the days of summer. How was your summer? Did you take a vacation, go anywhere special, or make any new friends? Was your summer a particularly hard one? Did you experience trials and tribulations? Did life cause you to grow beyond your comfort zone?

However summer manifested for you, take a moment and light an orange candle. Spend a few moments in quiet reflection as the candle safely burns. Feel the magick of autumn and the end of summer just a few weeks away. These are in-between times. Make ready for changes to come. Be one with the first day of September.
A Sardonyx Spell for Clarity
August 31, 2019 by James Kambos

Sardonyx, one of August’s gemstones, is a beautiful reddishbrown gem frequently streaked with white. It has many magical properties. It can aid in gaining clarity, finding the truth, and repelling negative magic. This spell for clarity will help you understand any issue.

Perform this spell as you are going to bed. First, write the problem on a small piece of paper and place it on your nightstand. Then hold a sardonyx and silently ask it to help you understand and clarify the situation. Place it on the paper and go to bed. The answer will come to you in a dream, or you may awaken with a hunch, just knowing what to do. Follow your feelings.

When done, place the sardonyx with your magical tools and discard the paper. If you need to purchase a sardonyx, they aren’t very expensive and can be found at most gem shops or online.
Black Moon Meditation and Affirmation
August 30, 2019 by Stephanie Rose Bird

Today you are in for a treat. It is a black moon! Most likely, you can’t see it.

We are an ever-industrious and ultra-busy society. The black moon is an opportunity to close off our senses. It’s a time to be calm and relieve tension.

Go outside and sit down wherever you feel comfortable. Soften your eyes. Leave them partially open and almost closed. Focus on the power and mystery of the seemingly moonless sky. Focus on your breathing. Count your breaths, making sure to synchronize your inhales with your exhales.

“I soak in the power of black. I feel safe, nurtured, calm, and light.”

Inhale deeply. Say:
“I breath in the wisdom of the universe.”

Exhale evenly. Say:
“I relinquish tension, stress, and busyness.”

Open your eyes. Say:
“I am of this moment”
Practice Peace Meditation
August 29, 2019 by Dallas Jennifer Cobb

August 29th was declared the International Day Against Nuclear Tests by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2009. It commemorates the August 29, 1991, closure of the world’s largest nuclear test facility in the former Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan. Today, practice peace with a simple meditation. Sit quietly in a comfortable position, and place your hands in the Dhyana mudra. A mudra is a hand position. Dhyana is one that Buddha is often pictured doing and brings tranquility and inner peace. To form this mudra, place both hands on your lap, right over left, with both palms facing up and thumbs touching. The right hand, representing enlightenment and spirituality, rests atop the left hand, representing illusion. Close your eyes and breathe deeply and slowly. Chant:

“Om Shanti Om.”

Om is the beginning of the universe, and Shanti is peace. So Om Shanti Om means the universe begins and ends with peace.
Protection Stars
August 28, 2019 by Kate Freuler

These rustic stars act as home protection amulets.

You will need:
* 4 black stones or rocks, of any kind (You can find these on the ground; they
do not need to be a gemstone or crystal.)
* White or silver paint
* A paintbrush
* 2 white candles and holders

Paint a five-pointed star on each black stone in white or silver. Gather the stones on your altar between the two lit white candles and say:

“Stones of black
And blessing star,
Protect [insert name of object, such
as “our house” or “our property”]
From all harm.”

Place one stone each in the north, south, east, and west corners of your home, a room, or your yard. Stash these amulets around your house, vehicle, or office, or carry one in your wallet or school bag.
Energizing Spell
August 27, 2019 by Melanie Marquis

If your home seems to be harboring stagnant energy, try this charm. You’ll need a spray bottle full of ice-cold purified water or spring water, plus a small citrine crystal for each room of your home. Walk in a counterclockwise circle around each room as you spritz the ice cold water around the perimeter. Now move your body clockwise around the room with as much motion as is comfortable for you, or simply wave your hands vigorously in the air while envisioning the energy of the room increasing. Place a citrine that has been charged in the sunlight somewhere in the room where it’s visible and open to receiving whatever energies the room has to give. Repeat this process for every room in your home. The citrine will remove any lingering negativity while imbuing the space with positive, energizing vibrations. The citrine can be left in each room, or collected into a pouch that is hung up near the home’s main entrance.

Heartwings Love Notes 896 Expectations

Heartwings says: “Sometimes what we get is not what we expected.”

When I thought about the time I would be spending recuperating from my hip replacement surgery, I had great expectations. I believed that since I wasn’t doing house work or errands, I would have the leisure to do what I had been putting off because I was too busy with maintenance chores. I anticipated opportunities to edit poetry and work on the chapbooks I am gathering them for, as well as to do more writing, not to mention catch up on my reading.

My expectations proved to be totally off base. I didn’t have the energy to read or to focus my concentration on printed words at all-mine or anyone else’s. I found I needed to rest and keep my feet up most of the day, not sit at my computer. Because I needed to get up and move about every hour, I had to watch the clock. So much of my physical energy was devoted to my healing process I had little left over for anything else. To begin with this situation was very frustrating.

At first I pushed myself physically to get better faster. This proved to be counterintuitive. When I over-exerted myself, I found I needed more rest rather than less. As I understood this, I got in touch with my long standing programming about being at all costs strong, effective, and able. I was raised to push myself, to look with dismay on inability and perceived weakness. In short, I was supposed to be tough. I found that I wasn’t, and that that wasn’t appropriate either. I had to learn and to give in to my limits. While this was not easy, it was very helpful.

Stephen joined me in my rest. We watched funny movies, ate pizza more often, and let things slide. I took daily naps, got up late and stayed resting until I was supposed to be active. Slowly I have been able to take on more of my normal activities. As I have felt better Stephen has been able to cut back on his cooking, leaving it to me. We both prefer this. He’s wonderful about helping with food prep and with cleaning up. Most importantly I have learned to ask for help when I need it. While this was not what I had expected, I am very grateful.

As the opportunity arises, may you learn more about yourself that is helpful.

Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert

PS What are some of the ways you have learned about yourself and how has it been helpful? I love to hear from my readers. You make my day! As you go about your days I wish you every joy.

Stones & The Metaphysics of Self-Power

Power is a broad reference to the ability to effect change or exert control over people, subjects, or objects. Self-power or self-empowerment is the ability to “enlighten”, “enhance” and “educate” yourself in order to become a better human being.

This is one of the highest forms of spiritual consciousness we can give ourselves. Improving our way of communicating, appreciating, and honoring who we are, gives us special gifts such as gratitude, self-esteem, and a sense of being grounded.

As empowered beings, we have the opportunity to remind ourselves of our selflessness, our humanity, and our endless source of energy we can tap into. Here you can discover the building blocks of self-power. Refuse to be the victim.

Change Creates Power

If we choose to focus our attention on the negative around us, we will be that negativity.
If we choose to focus our attention on doing what we can’t do, we will surely not do the things we can.
If we choose to focus our attention on being a victim, we will remain a victim.
To empower your spirit and create your true self, you must change your thoughts and the feelings around them.

Change is inevitable.
Our lives are made up of the building blocks of change. Change creates the person we must grow to be. Change happens for a reason. That reason is to allow us possibilities we may not have seen in the first place. This can be traumatic or it can be less so.

The single most important point you can make about change is that in most cases it’s not what faces you that’s the problem, it’s how you react to it.
How you react is determined by how you perceive a particular change. The Chinese word for crisis is “weiji”. Two characters that separately mean danger and opportunity. Every problem we encounter in life can be viewed that way. It is a chance to show that we can handle it. Changing the way, you think, can change a life of stress and discomfort to a life of challenge and excitement.

Change shows itself in many forms. The move to a different career, by choice or not, the loss of a loved one, the loss of a relationship, the move to a new home or simply the change in the weather and how we feel.

It is important to embrace the transition. Struggling, kicking and screaming, and dragging your heels will only prolong trying to control the uncontrollable. Learn to recognize strengths you may have overlooked. Embrace optimism and reform your old belief system. Honor the new you, which you are transforming into. Here are some ways to embrace change:

1. Often, in any situation, we must take the quiet time to be with ourselves to observe this change. How is it going to affect me? Better yet, how am I going to let it affect me? What am I going to do to get through this? Allow the answers to come to you in your quiet time.

2. Take everything one day at a time. Sometimes situations can become overwhelming when looking at the big picture. Again, take your quiet time to observe the moment. Allow yourself to take all the time, take all the space, and to grasp the change.

3. Breathe. Deep breathing allows us to open our chest and expand. It clears our minds and bodies of toxins and should be used as a tool for change. Allow the breath to cleanse you and make room for change. Make room for something different.

4. Support. We are always put at ease when we have support behind us. In these vulnerable moments, we can find strength in others. If you have a good friend, a family member, a loved one, or a community group that you can turn to, do so. Be sure that this support comes from a positive, unbiased source. Otherwise, it can be more damaging than good. Rest assured, there have been others who have gone through what you are experiencing right now. See if you can take away with you some of their positive pearls of wisdom.

5. Love Yourself. You are the true source to your own happiness. You have to live within yourself. You have to be at peace within yourself. Only you can do that. Only you can make that happen. We each have our own way of being with ourselves, but there is only one way to be at ease with your soul. That is to love yourself, always.

6. Our Belief System is one of the major factors that can get us through situations or can cause our life to crumble around us. I do believe that there is a lot of innate goodness and balancing our minds do subconsciously to get us through hard times. The other portion of this is how we “program” ourselves to deal with any given situation.

7. Let go of Ego. Embracing peace of mind, optimism, the ability to forgive, and a sense of humor are all good ways to allow the ego to step aside and make room for some humble pie.

8. Allow Emotional Release.. Identifying, expressing, experiencing, and accepting all of our feelings is your doorway to accepting all change in your life.
9. Be Flexible. You have a rigid, mindset about work, relationships, kids or your lifestyle. Life will bring us challenges we do not see coming. It is important to be able to adjust and learn as we grow. Our adaptability needs a sense of willingness in order to let go. By lowering our expectations, it reveals an openness to accept.

10. There Is No Security in something that is irrelevant or no longer has meaning. When we let go of the familiar, we have the power to embrace the new. Embrace it.

Why Should You Cleanse Your Home?

Every day, we vibe differently. Sometimes, you get up and the whole day is like a fairytale, and sometimes, the whole day is a nightmare. But, none of that matters, because at the end of a very long, hard day, you go back to your home, and you get to shut off the whole world. Your home is your shelter, your little piece of calm in the storm of unpredictable events every day. But even your home can get polluted by negative vibes.

Just think about it like this, we all emit vibes – your neighbors, the people you pass on the way to work, your colleagues, the people passing down the street, and even you.

All of those vibes, good and yucky, little by little, can attach to you. A good example of this is someone at work had a rough morning and takes it out on you without realizing it. They spill their coffee, clean it up, then aggressively asks you about an assignment due later that day. You remind them it’s not due until the end of the day, and they are still upset. This has nothing to do with you, but if we aren’t careful, sometimes those vibes can attach to us and we are a little spicy with the next person we encounter. And the cycle continues. The same can happen with happy energy. Someone with a good mood gives you a free coffee by your local deli. You can carry that energy throughout the day being kind to anyone you come into contact with. This happens to all of us, mostly unconsciously. As you grow, you will start to become more aware of this energy transference.

Either way, as you go through these exchanges throughout the day, it’s very easy to bring them home with us. This is why cleansing your home regularly is extremely important! You want the place that you lay your hat to be calming, peaceful and centering, to avoid polluting it with yucky vibes as best you can. Plus, how can you remain your most magical self, if the one place in the world that protects you is swarmed with negative vibes? You simply can’t.

You need to take care of your home, and cleanse it regularly, to make sure that the energy flow is undisturbed, and that your calming shelter remains that way.

Chakra Cleansing and Balancing
by Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs

Balancing our energy centers (chakras) can support us in our lives in so many ways.

Chakra is the Sanskrit word for “wheel,” referring to the various energy centers in the body. As we move through life we find ourselves at different places on the wheel so understanding the power we hold in each energy center teaches us where we get stuck. Energy blocks can keep us from feeling grounded, connected to our personal courage, expressing our creativity, following our heart, speaking our truth, listening to our inner voice, or connecting to our higher self.

It is through our five senses that we experience the world and each chakra bath is created to activate each of your nervous systems sensory organs; sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste. Taking time for ritual, to be still with ourselves fully (body, mind, and spirit), is sacred. In today’s we are pulled in so many directions through technology and do not heed the call for a renewal of spirit.

As we move through our final month of winter, Pisces dons us with the dance of light and water. We can feel the energy of the quickening waters ~ mixing past thoughts, sensations, and feelings together as she inspires and illuminates our imaginations.

As we approach our gentle, watery, New Moon in Pisces (March 17th) followed by the Spring Equinox, a day balanced with light and dark (March 20th), I encourage you to work with the energy centers of balance, water, and light. There is power to working with the energies that the Moon and seasons represent ~ and now is a beautiful time to work with your Root (balance), Sacral (water) and Third Eye (light) energy centers.

Here is what each chakra is teaching you:
Our Root Chakra (Muladhara) is the Gateway of the Earth. This is the first chakra, your Life Force Center, located at the base of the spine. How do you connect with your physical body and feel about your presence here on earth? This is the energy center where we build our foundation for grounding, safety, security, stillness, courage, individuality and health, all needed for personal growth and transformation. When you stabilize the root chakra the rest of the chakras naturally come into a more balanced state ~ without a good foundation a structure does not have much to stand on and it is the same with the body. The color of this chakra is RED, the Element is EARTH, the Sound is LAM and the sense is SMELL. To connect to this energy center dance, go barefoot on the earth, clean your house to clear clutter and make space for the new, cook a meal or hug a tree!

Our Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) is the Gateway of the Moon. This is the second chakra located in the lower abdomen (just below the belly button). Home of creative and sexual energies. This is the center where you experience pleasure ~ so important in the development of your creativity, passions, joys, and enthusiasm. It is where we learn the sacred masculine/feminine dance (yin-yang balance). This energy center, also known as the dwelling place of the self, brings fluidity to your life allowing you to accept change, be present to your creative juices, transform thoughts into action, and connect to your self-confidence and strengths. The color of this chakra is ORANGE, the Element is WATER, the Sound is VAM and the sense is TASTE. To connect to this chakra do something that brings you pleasure: play, create, and be sensual!

Our Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) is the Gateway to Liberation ~ to the inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness, I like to call it the gateway to Magical Inspiration! Known as the Intuitive Energy Center it is located at the brow between the eyebrows, near the pituitary gland, eyes, and nose. This is where we hold our hopes, dreams, and visions and learn to balance the physical and spiritual world within and around us. Opening this center helps you to separate the real from the imagined, the vital from the unimportant connecting you to your knowing. The color is INDIGO BLUE, the element is LIGHT, the sound is SHAM, and the sense is INTUITION. To connect to this chakra mediate, pray, believe in your visions, trust your own intuition ~ this is your moment ~ make it one you love to recall!

Connect with your body and the power of water, botanicals, and crystals to cleanse, clear and enliven your chakras. Your chakras are energy centers that you can tap into at any time to teach you about the physical and spiritual body you live in. To connect with these centers will empower you to find your compassionate, passionate, courageous, powerful, sensual, divine, loving self!

I love the beauty and caring that comes between the moments of starting and ending the ceremony. Balance your chakras through this gentle ritual and take a step toward your own self-empowerment and healing in this present moment. Join me in a ceremony to activate each of your sensory organs; sight, smell, taste, touch, and sound to connect you deeply to your energy centers.

Common Fears
By Madisyn Taylor

Our minds are powerful, and moving into fear is a common experience that we can each look at and change.
Everyone has fears. It is a natural part of being human. Fear can protect us from harm by sending a rush of adrenaline to help us physically deal with potential danger. But there are times when fear may keep us from participating fully in life. Once we realize that fear is a state of mind, we can choose to face our fears, change our minds, and create the life we want to live.

Our minds are powerful tools to be used by our higher selves; like computers, storing and using data to make certain connections between thought and response. We have the ability to observe these and choose differently. No matter where the fear came from, we can create new connections by choosing new thoughts. When our souls and minds are in alignment, we create a new experience of reality. This journey requires many small steps, as well as patience and courage through the process. Here’s an example: You decide to overcome your fear of driving on the freeway. Your plan of action starts with examining your thoughts and finding a new way of seeing the situation. When you’re ready, you enlist a calm companion to support you as you take the first step of merging into the slow lane and using the first exit. Your heart may be racing, but your confidence will be boosted by the accomplishment. Repeat this until you are comfortable, with or without help, and then drive one exit further. When you are ready, you can try driving in the middle lane, for longer periods each time, until you find yourself going where you want to go. This gradual process is similar for conquering any fear, but if you find it overwhelming, you can always seek the help of a professional.

You may think that you are the only one with a particular fear, that nobody else could possibly be scared of ordinary things such as water, heights, public speaking, or flying. These types of fears are very common, and you can have great success overcoming them. Remember, it is not the absence of the fear but the courage to take action anyway that determines success. When we learn to face our fears, we learn to observe our thoughts and feelings but not be ruled by them. Instead we choose how to shape the lives we want.

10 Reasons to Add Drumming into Your Spiritual Practice

Drumming is perhaps the oldest form of active meditation known to humanity. It is a simple and effortless way to still the chatter of the mind, thereby inducing altered states of consciousness. It is one of the quickest and most powerful ways I know to open the heart and connect with a power greater than ourselves. Here are 10 good reasons why you should incorporate drumming into your spiritual practice:

1. To induce natural altered states of consciousness. Researchers have found that if a drum beat frequency of around 180 beats per minute is sustained for at least fifteen minutes, it will induce significant altered states in most people, even on their first attempt. This ease of induction contrasts significantly with the long periods of isolation and practice required by most meditative disciplines before inducing significant effects. Rhythmic stimulation is a simple and effective technique for affecting states of mind.

2. To produce deeper self-awareness by inducing synchronous brain activity. Recent studies have demonstrated that the physical transmission of rhythmic energy to the brain synchronizes the two cerebral hemispheres, integrating conscious and unconscious awareness. The ability to access unconscious information through symbols and imagery facilitates psychological integration and a reintegration of self.

3. To experience being in resonance with the natural rhythms of life. Rhythm and resonance order the natural world. Dissonance and disharmony arise only when we limit our capacity to resonate totally and completely with the rhythms of life. The origin of the word rhythm is Greek meaning “to flow.” We can learn to flow with the rhythms of life by simply learning to feel the beat, pulse, or groove while drumming. When drummers feel this rhythmic flow, especially at a slower, steady beat, they can shift into a state of deep relaxation and expanded awareness. It is a way of bringing the essential self into accord with the flow of a dynamic, interrelated universe, helping us feel connected rather than isolated and estranged.

4. To access a higher power. Drumming directly supports the introduction of spiritual factors found significant in the healing process. Drumming and Shamanic activities produce a sense of connectedness and community, integrating body, mind and spirit. According to research published in the American Journal of Public Health, “Shamanic activities bring people efficiently and directly into immediate encounters with spiritual forces, focusing the client on the whole body and integrating healing at physical and spiritual levels. This process allows them to connect with the power of the universe, to externalize their own knowledge, and to internalize their answers; it also enhances their sense of empowerment and responsibility. These experiences are healing, bringing the restorative powers of nature to clinical settings.”

5. To release negative feelings, blockages, and emotional trauma. Drumming can help people express and address emotional issues. Unexpressed feelings and emotions can form energy blockages. The physical stimulation of drumming removes blockages and produces emotional release. Sound vibrations resonate through every cell in the body, stimulating the release of negative cellular memories.

6. To reduce tension, anxiety, and stress. Drumming induces deep relaxation, lowers blood pressure, and reduces stress. Stress, according to current medical research, contributes to nearly all disease and is a primary cause of such life-threatening illnesses as heart attacks, strokes, and immune system breakdowns. A groundbreaking 2005 study demonstrated that group drumming not only reduces stress, but reverses genetic switches that turn on the stress response believed responsible in the development of common diseases.

7. To create sacred space. The drum is also a versatile instrument for creating sacred space. You can use it to summon the spirits into a ritual or ceremony. According to Wallace Black Elk, the renowned Lakota shaman, “When you pray with that drum, when the spirits hear that drum, it echoes. They hear this drum, and they hear your voice loud and clear.” Conversely, a forceful beat of the drum can be used to drive away malevolent spirits or intrusive energies that cause confusion, disease, and disharmony. Used in this way, the drum facilitates the creation of a purified sacred space.

8. To reconnect with your inner or spirit self. Drumming heightens the ability of perception and enables you to see into the deeper realms of the self. The moment you bond with your spirit is the moment your heart opens. The first time you glimpse your spirit self, you gasp and cry. You know who you are. That is the moment you begin to heal.

9. To gain insight into an issue that you want to know more about. You can take concerns into a drum meditation in order to access personal revelation. Drumming stills the incessant chatter of the mind, allowing you to view life and life’s problems from a detached, spiritual perspective, not easily achieved in a state of ordinary consciousness.

10. To clarify life purpose. When we are unaware of our soul’s true purpose or simply not aligned in our actions, we often experience a malaise of the spirit. We can engage the blueprint of our soul path through the vehicle of drumming. Drumming is a time-tested medium for individual self-realization. We can go within to access wisdom and energies that can help awaken our soul calling and restore us to wholeness. Drumming reconnects us with our deepest core values and our highest vision of who we are and why we are here. It heightens our sense of mission and purpose, empowering our personal evolution.

Making Choices from a Place of Balance
By Madisyn Taylor

It is important to make decisions from a place of balance, by taking a breath and checking in with heart and mind.
Each of the myriad decisions we make every day has the potential to have a deep impact on our lives. Some choices touch us to our very cores, awakening poignant feelings within us. Others seem at first to be simple but prove to be confusingly complex. We make the best decisions when we approach the decision-making process from a balanced emotional and intellectual foundation. When we have achieved equilibrium in our hearts and in our minds, we can clearly see both sides of an issue or alternative. Likewise, we can accept compromise as a natural fact of life. Instead of relying solely on our feelings or our rationality, we utilize both in equal measure, empowering ourselves to come to a life-affirming and balanced conclusion.

Balance within and balance without go hand in hand. When you are called upon to choose between two or more options, whether they are attractive or distasteful, you should understand all you can about the choice ahead of you before moving forward. If you do not come to the decision from a place of balance, you risk making choices that are irrational and overly emotional or are wholly logical and don’t take your feelings into account. In bringing your thoughts and emotions together during the decision-making process, you ensure that you are taking everything possible into account before moving forward. Nothing is left up to chance, and you have ample opportunity to determine which options are in accordance with your values.

Though some major decisions may oblige you to act and react quickly, most will allow you an abundance of time in which to mull over your choices. If you doubt your ability to approach your options in a balanced fashion, take an extended time-out before responding to the decision. This will give you the interlude you need to make certain that your thoughts and feelings are in equilibrium. As you practice achieving balance, you will ultimately reach a state of mind in which you can easily make decisions that honor every aspect of the self.

The Time Machine, Part 7
Smith and Jones stopped long enough to help pick up the silver and put it back in the heavy wooden chest. Then with their eyes closed and their minds focused on their goal they continued to march. Walking in place, they kept up a steady pace, envisioning the White House as they had last seen it. They kept their eyes shut for as long as they could, and though they sensed the presence of others, resisted the impulse to look.
When they finally did open them it was still light but the ground under their feet was landscaped. They could hear male voices singing a familiar melody: Just Before The Battle Mother. At a slight distance grim faced blue coated Union Soldiers were bivouacked.
Still marching in place Smith peered over the grassy mall. “Must be sometime in the early 1860’s,” he said.
“We’re really moving through time, aren’t we?” Jones said.
Smith nodded. “Close to fifty years since we started.”
They proceeded until fatigue forced them to stop and rest. Breathless, weary they saw buildings being erected nearby on the green.
“Not really hungry? You?” Smith asked.
Jones shook his head.
Smith reached into his pocket and took out a silver monogrammed spoon. “This fell into my boot back when the silverware dropped out of the chest.”
“Hand deliver it to the Smithsonian. Let them figure out how you got it,” Jones chuckled.
Again they began their walk. When they next paused and opened their eyes, they saw Bonus Marchers, veterans from the first World War pushing against Federal troops reluctant to shoot but determined to hold them back from getting closer to the White House.
“It’s not our problem,” Smith said. “Let Calvin Coolidge figure it out.”
Jones yawned. “It’s still daylight.”
Smith nodded. “That it is.”
“I have no idea how long we’ve been walking.”
Bonus marchers ran toward them. “Help us. Federal troops are coming to arrest us all.”
He peered at Jones. “Stay centered regardless. Otherwise we end up in the roaring twenties,” Guns sounded, then the surprised screams of bonus marchers who had not expected bullets. “Looks like Silent Cal made his decision.” Smith said. “Keep focused,” he warned. “Don’t get pulled into another moment of time or you’ll get stuck there.”
Jones heeded his words. When they opened their eyes again they were witness to another march on Washington.
“I have a dream today,” boomed over loudspeakers.
“Almost there,” Smith said grimly. “Keep marching.”
In another part of the world, Emily and Hiram thumped down on a sandy beach. Emily rubbed her hand against her hip, “You really could have made it more comfortable, Hiram. Right now it bucks too much, like riding on an amusement park ride.”
Hiram nodded. “Perhaps once we were launched we encountered rough tides of time and that bounced us around.”
“Anyway, we’re here,” she said. After years of marriage she knew to keep her complaints to a minimum, otherwise he might feel picked on.
They sat close to each other on the sand. Then they both began to laugh hysterically. Hiram hooted and tears rushed down Emily’s cheeks. “I can’t believe what we just did.”
“But we did it and we know it,” Hiram said gleefully.
Fishing boats came to the water’s edge. Polynesians jumped out, hauling nets full of fish.
Hiram stood up and pointed to a collection of huts behind them. “Let’s go see if we can find Robert Louis Stevenson.”
Emily shook her head. “Just give me a minute, Hiram. I am still dizzy and disoriented. Let’s just sit here and get our bearings.”
Back in what had been Hiram and Emily’s time, several government agents walked through their house. One stopped to read Emily’s note.
“She says they’re off on their great adventure and to cancel their morning paper for them.”
“That’s all?” The agents tromped down the stairs into the basement. One pointed to the trunk. “This must be it, what we were told to bring.”
Another opened his phone, photographed it and nodded. His two subordinates took the trunk to the extermination services truck.
Moments later they drove away.
Emily and Hiram got up, brushed themselves of, and wandered into the village. After seeking directions, they found the Robert Louis Stevenson’s dwelling.
He greeted them cordially. “Do come in for tea. Australian?”
“No American,” Hiram said.
After they were settled into chairs on his airy veranda, Stevenson said, “And what brings you here?”
“We’re time travelers,” Emily smiled.
Stevenson nodded and lit his pipe. “Time travelers?”
Hiram told their story: his discovery of the steamer trunk, his lucid dreams, how Leonardo, Galileo, and Copernicus guided his making the time machine. Then Hiram showed him his pocket calendar and several dollar bills.
Oh, you’d best not use that money here,” Stevenson said with a grin, “That might give you away.”
Emily smiled. “I know our being propelled through time must seem hard to believe.”
“And this all came to you in dreams?” Stevenson said.
“Although I remembered little, my hands knew what to do,” Hiram said
“Fascinating,” Stevenson said. “You know, many of my stories came to me in dreams. Why not a time machine?” He smiled at them both. “But why did you choose my time and me?”
I have loved your poems and stories since I was young child,” Hiram said.
“Me too,” Emily chimed in. “And we wanted to go somewhere peaceful. Our world is not a pleasant place to be right now.”

Monthly Horoscopes for September 2019

If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

The past months have been as exciting as they`ve been demanding. Looking back, you`ve achieved wonders; but, often, it`s been at the cost of both details and, occasionally, time with others. Begin making up for it now, first tackling practical, financial or domestic matters you`ve neglected. Once those are dealt with, shift your focus on family, loved ones or the friends who, quite rightly, complain that you`ve vanished. The solution? For September and, maybe, October put people first, and those practicalities second.

An embarrassing secret will come to light on or around the 14th, due to a troubling Full Moon. A jealous colleague will shed light on a deception, putting you in an awkward position. Instead of getting defensive, admit your mistake. Ask forgiveness. Change your behaviour. People will forgive you when they realise you have genuinely turned over a new leaf. Until then, everyone will treat you with healthy scepticism. If you feel like you`re in a toxic work environment, it may be time to look for another position. A romance shows sign of strain around the end of September. The New Moon on the 28th makes it difficult to balance your professional and private lives. It may be time to create a lifestyle that leaves more time for personal relationships. Pouring all your energy into work is no longer paying off like it once did. Be willing to change your priorities.

It`s interesting that September`s Equinox coincides with the last quarter phase of the Jupiter Neptune cycle. This, together with other factors suggests a complete change in the global financial winds. For some, the bubble will burst – with hints of this probability apparent at the September Full Moon on 14th. It`s then, when both Mercury and Venus together move into your opposite sign, that you may need to grab the financial wheel firmly. It`s entirely possible that either overspending or increased costs threaten acute difficulties before the end of October. Yet if you can gain control (and with your ruling planet, Mars, moving through efficiency associated Virgo that`s entirely possible), you could yet make gains through investment in essentials (utilities). It`s worth noting the potential for a new financial alliance soon after the New Moon on 28th – possibly related to the Arts.

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Sudden changes in lifestyle or work in early September are unsettling but no surprise. Some have been on your mind for ages, but a few are so new and unexpected you`re unsure what to do.. You could be tempted to battle these. Don`t. Instead, get involved. Soon you`ll be shaping arrangements to suit you and, better yet, they`ll introduce you to new and exciting people, places and ideas. Any questions? Forget about debate. Instead, simply get involved. You`ll soon realise how exciting these are.

It will be difficult to reconcile your friends with a romantic partner on the 14th. That`s when a tense Full Moon will create a stir in your social circle. Lately, the people you`ve known for years have been upset by your absence at various parties and gatherings. They think a love affair has been commanding all your attention, and perhaps they are right. You are facing the prospect of losing your friends or ending your romance. If your amour is pressuring you to turn into someone you are not, think carefully about staying in this relationship. You may be better off returning to the fold. On the 28th, the New Moon attracts a job offer that is not worth your time. You have too many family responsibilities to accept a position involving constant travel. Hold out for a better opportunity, even if it means taking temporary stints in the meantime.

By the end of September, the global financial winds will surely have changed direction. Recall that it is now 90 years since the 1929 crash: echoes may yet be heard. Preserving savings whilst at the same time fostering new interests will no doubt require a fine balancing act. Yet with Mars moving through the most creative but yes, true – the risk and speculation area of your solar chart, you could yet tune into rare investment possibilities. These look to be particularly attractive around the Full Moon on 14th. It would, of course, be wise before making any move, to assess what you can and cannot afford to do and run possibilities by your financial advisor – especially where overseas investments are involved. It is worth noting that from the Full Moon and all the way through the remainder of the month and next that investing in a hobby could yet feed a second revenue stream.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Initially September`s obstacles will just annoy you; but as you tackle them, you`ll discover each forces you to deal with past issues or explore new ideas, some far more exciting than you`ve imagined possible. Although you`ll be tempted to plunge in, you`ll soon realise you need to ask yourself questions about your own priorities and gather vital facts. Initially this seems a nuisance. However, with each day, you realise just how much there is to discover about the people and activities involved.

Your relatives will be jealous of your career success in mid-September. The Full Moon on the 14th finds you being celebrated by your work peers. Although you`re thrilled to be recognised in such a public manner, your family is less excited. They`re resentful of how much time you spend on your job. Unless you shift focus, you`ll drive a permanent wedge between you and your kin. There`s nothing wrong with being ambitious, but you should try to be more attentive to those you love. A creative project will be more trouble than it is worth on the 28th, due to a tense New Moon. Someone who promises you royalty payments will go back on their word. Don`t give your work away for free. If you don`t get paid a good salary upon signing this deal, walk away. You have better things to do with your time and ability.

Coinciding with the Equinox on September 21, Jupiter and Neptune reach an important juncture in their cycle. That this coincides with Mars` transit of the asset management area of your solar chart suggests unavoidable financial development. It might be wise to make an appointment with a financial adviser and set aside time every week to monitor cash flow. In taking this detailed approach, by the Full Moon on September 14th you could be in a position to spread your financial wings. That might include risk assessment and adjusting a portfolio to take into account new offerings. It is worth noting that soon after the New Moon on September 28th, with Jupiter and Uranus (the planet of surprises) in formidable aspect, you could back a hunch that`s been incubating since March and which promises rewards in 2020.

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Recent events were as exciting as they were unexpected. While, ordinarily, you`d have been more cautious, your instincts correctly told you to proceed and think about the details later. This means that now, you`re both reviewing what was done and accomplished and, as much, considering future plans, better yet, you`re recognising how much you`ve learnt and how each day`s events and encounters are adding to that knowledge. Once this would have seemed risky, but now you`re enjoying this adventurous approach to life`s activities and alliances.

A legal matter will be decided on or around the 14th, due to a tense Full Moon. You`ll be disappointed by the results. Instead of dwelling on this setback, make an exciting plan for the future. Doing something adventurous and exciting will give you something special to look forward to. People who have been trying to create problems for you will be crushed by your upbeat outlook. Instead of falling victim to their schemes, you`ll let them roll of your back. The New Moon on the 28th could cause concern on the family front. Relatives may not approve of choice of romantic partner. It`s important to defend your amour, even at the risk of being shunned by a judgmental elder. Cultivating the personal life, you`ve always desired will be empowering. You`re tired of being pushed around by condescending people; use the final days of September to assert your independence.

The global financial winds are set to change direction after the Equinox on September 21. Whilst it`s possible that my reading of the situation is incorrect, it doesn`t alter the fact that it is now 90 years since the 1929 crash and traders could yet experience echoes of that earlier time. In short, it would be wise not to overspend or overcommit – especially around the Full Moon on September 14th. It`s very likely that by the 25th you will need to take a fresh approach to financial matters. Outgoings are likely to be very different and getting the measure of these will take time. Yet it appears that for many there is the possibility of either increasing cash flow in a positive way or realising gains through sales. Greatest expenditure is in the first part of September. These though are likely to be one-off costs that don`t repeat. Attention might need to be given to transport arrangements which, if not dealt with quickly, could fast become a leak. Investing in property repair or improvement could be much discussed. Before undertaking any of this though seeking approval from your financial advisor would surely be wise. The week beginning Monday 26 would be an excellent time for financial appraisal.

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Ordinarily, your reaction to obstacles is to focus all of your formidable attention on overcoming them, then move swiftly on to whatever is next; but as has been the case recently, each situation is related to another, to one particular individual or, possibly, to both. This slows your pace but also forces you to discuss these, often with those involved. What you learn, about issues, potential solutions and the people involved revolutionises your thinking, and even more, your ideas about possibilities for the future.

Arguments over an insurance refund, legal settlement or inheritance could erupt on the 14th, due to a contentious Full Moon. It will be necessary to hire a lawyer to represent your interests. Don`t respond to taunting messages from the other side. Keep a record of all the messages you receive. By refusing to get drawn into this drama, you will prevail financially. Be prepared for certain relationships to fall apart at the seams. You`re about to learn how money can cause people to behave in hurtful ways. The New Moon on the 28th invites you to acquire a valuable skill. Improving your technical knowledge and know-how with a demanding teacher will not be easy. It will be impossible to rest on your laurels with this instructor. Resist the urge to throw in the towel. By studying hard and doing the work that is demanded of you, you will emerge victorious.

Global financial winds are set to change direction by the Equinox on September 21. For many, it might seem that the bubble is then in clear danger of bursting. Without wishing to be gloomy, it`s perhaps wise to recall that it`s now 90 years since the crash of 1929. Echoes of the plunge in indices could appear this autumn. It is arguably more important than ever to keep a handle on your personal finance and asset management. A review of your holdings and pension arrangements would be wise before the First Quarter Moon on September 6th. It`s then, that together with a financial adviser, that you could reassess risk and put in place safety nets. By Thursday 12th, you might also determine that, yet another strategy is needed. Property matters look set to have more attention around the Full Moon on September 14th. This though would be a promising time to negotiate. A deal struck as the Moon passes through your sign on Wednesday 25th, could yet prove productive and cost saving.

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

It`s impossible to discuss September without mentioning the influence of fiery Mars`s move into Virgo on 18 August, and the Virgo New Moon on 30 August. Each has triggered exciting shake-ups in plans, recent, but also for the present and future. Do something out of character, and deal with each day`s ideas, opportunities and challenges as they arise, doing whatever you can but avoiding your usual in-depth analysis. This frees you to approach what`s next without worrying about past experiences and over-planning the future.

A close relationship will show signs of strain in mid-September. The Full Moon on the 14th will fill you with a sense of urgency. Try as you might, you won`t be able to force people down a path they do not want to travel. Instead of putting more pressure on them, make a strategic retreat. After coming together and discussing your hopes, dreams and fears, a temporary separation may be in order. Sometimes the best way to repair a troubled romance is to get some distance from it. The New Moon on the 28th will attract a moneymaking opportunity. Before accepting a job offer, realise that all that glisters is not gold. What sounds like a lucrative opportunity will be more trouble than it is worth. Ask for the terms to be put in writing before signing on the dotted line. Watch your back and protect your interests.

This could prove a month of financial drama. The planetary geometry of Mars (moving through your sign), Jupiter and Neptune suggests tumultuous waves. This has implications for cash flow: with perhaps more going out than coming in. Measuring the flow may be particularly tricky around the Full Moon on September 14th. It`s then though, that the cosmic winds should change direction. With both Mercury and Venus then beginning passage through neighbouring Libra, getting tighter rein on a budget should become easier. Expenses incurred at the beginning of the month will probably not repeat and Virgo entrepreneurs find this an exciting period. The potential for new partnerships is set to increase too with those born under the Cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn giving essential back-up and likely ensuring that what`s promised is delivered in 2020.
Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Thinking plans through is wise. Try to do it during September and you`ll have to review arrangements, probably often. Ordinarily, you`d discuss what others think, consider their ideas versus yours, then finalise everything. However, welcome but unsettling events are taking you into new territory. What`s more, neither your feelings nor practical matters will clear until the Libra Full Moon on 28 September. So, explore every idea and get to know those you encounter. You may be intrigued now but soon they may become central to your life.

If you keep pushing yourself too hard, you`ll suffer health problems in mid-September. The Full Moon on the 14th invites you to take an extended break. Going on vacation will make you nervous at first. You`ll worry about job security after sleeping late and enjoying room service. Instead of giving in to your greatest fears, envision the outcome you want. When you practice the art of positive thinking, you`ll attract the opportunities you desire. Resist the temptation to alter your appearance on the 28th. That`s when the New Moon will cloud your thinking. What seems like a great idea at the end of the September will be serious cause for regret. This is not a good time to change your hairstyle, revamp your wardrobe or even opt for a whole new career. Temporary changes will give you a chance to experiment with various images and ideas until you hit upon the right combination.

Ahead of the Sun`s arrival in your sign on September 21, both Mercury and Venus move into Libra within hours of the Full Moon on 14th. It`s probable that this will bring a sea change in global financial affairs. This may bring a distinct turning point for you too. There`s high probability of a fresh alliance being formed. Attractive as this may be, caution should yet be applied. You likely won`t be the only sign to seek out the expertise of a financial adviser with asset management requiring extra care. For many this will be about property and preserving it. It`s also likely that between 13th and 19th that a sale will be agreed. For some Libras this could be a simple eBay moment, whilst for others something more complicated. By the New Moon in your sign on 28th, an idea that is linked to training or education could quickly develop and perhaps provide another revenue stream.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

It never fails to puzzle you how certain individuals will happily accept offers or spend time with people they know little about. Yet, according to September`s planetary setup, you`ll soon be doing exactly that. A series of events and encounters will fall into place so magically that your doubts will vanish, to be replaced by excitement about the promise these hold. This is justified, although on occasion you`ll pause to question the wisdom of taking the next step. In each case, you`re right to proceed.

Friends will conspire against you on the 14th, when the Full Moon invites you to enjoy private pleasures. It`s time to set healthier boundaries between you and your loved ones. Coming to other people`s rescue is becoming exhausting. You need to devote more energy to the activities you love. Shopping at antique markets, communing with nature and nightclubbing could be calling your name. Don`t be defensive about how you kick back and relax. People who truly accept you will not judge your choices. The New Moon on the 28th warns against repeating secrets. You`ll make a powerful enemy after revealing privileged information. If someone is probing you for answers, block their calls and ignore their e-mails. You`re under no obligation to shed light on this situation. The truth will be revealed in the right time. Maintain your vow of silence; you`ll be rewarded for your discretion.

Global financial currents are likely to alter direction around the Equinox on September 21. That this event coincides with Jupiter and Neptune reaching a critical phase in their cycle just as Jupiter and Saturn form an alignment it theirs, suggests this could be an important moment for all. It`s highly likely that you will feel this coming from the start of the month. Indeed, putting your financial affairs in order could be something you positively want to do around September 3rd. It might suit you also to get rid of certain items and realise their value through sale before the Full Moon on September 14. Boosting savings may be a top priority. Yet you could also attract bargains – especially between 18th and 20th. Your negotiating skills are much to the fore on the very last day of the month as the Moon passes through your sign. It`s then, and possibly with even greater bargain basement prices available, that you could secure a deal that feels almost like an early birthday present.
Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

No sign is better at finding clever, and often swift, ways around even difficult obstacles. However, with your ruler Jupiter at odds with both the fiery Mars and practical Saturn during September, you`ve a lot to learn from even seriously tricky situations. Knowing that, make a point of discovering the source of those problems and, as important, explore a range of solutions. This will take frustratingly long but, as gradually becomes clear, will also teach you how to avoid similar dramas in the future.

On the 14th, the Full Moon will shift your focus to family matters. It will be necessary to take time off work to cope with a real estate deal or domestic dispute. If your employer pressures you to put in long hours, you may decide to find another job. Don`t leave your position until you secure another one. It`s much easier to find work when you`re already employed. Starting a home-based business is a distinct possibility. Working from home will allow you to be more present for a loved one who needs help. As September draws to a close, you`ll be meeting lots of people. The New Moon on the 28th could find you rubbing elbows with prominent executives at a party. Be wary about striking deals at such gatherings. If someone wants to hire you, they should schedule a formal interview in a professional setting.

Networking costs are likely to be high until the Equinox on September 21st. Much of this you might not mind given that there is the opportunity to contact those you see rarely or who are potentially new commercial contacts. It is noteworthy that on September 3rd, the Sun and Mars align in a sign associated with order and with matters of health. It may be that you need to give these greater priority. There is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but you could determine it`s time to invest in those involved in healing and medicine: pharmaceutical companies as well as those who provide complimentary health. Indeed, by the end of the month it`s these alternative practices that could have your full attention. There might also be something about jewellery that is important during September. It may be that you find a particularly good investment especially in the last 10 days of the month. With Jupiter passing through your sign until December 3rd the cash flow looks as though there will be more going out than coming in. Reversing that though will be possible before the end of the year. What would help in the interim – and especially on 6th, 9th, 13th and 25th, is if you could control impetuous spending.

Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Both the plans you`ve been discussing, and certain new relationships are thriving. In fact, things are going so well that, being a cautious Capricorn, you`re wary about the outcome and seeking reassuring facts. Relax. While twists and turns are inevitable, the foundation on which these are based isn`t just sound, it will help stabilise certain once-unsettled arrangements. While things are unlikely to be finalised until the powerful Capricorn eclipse, in late December, each week`s progress will reassure you about the wisdom of your decisions.

Surprising news will arrive in mid-September. The Full Moon on the 14th will shed light on a deception. Your outlook will change considerably after you learn the truth. Putting some distance between you and a manipulative relative will be necessary. You`re tired of being tricked into making loans, writing references and going to bat for someone who doesn`t deserve it. The sooner you tune out this pest, the happier you`ll be. You`ll have much more time for the relationships and activities you enjoy. An interesting career opportunity will be made on or around the 28th, courtesy of the New Moon. Don`t be quick to accept a job offer that involves tremendous responsibility for very little compensation. Although you`ve always wanted to work for a prestigious company, it shouldn`t involve working for a pittance. Be ready to walk away from negotiations if you aren`t treated with the respect you deserve. Something better will arrive when you want it most.

The chart for the Equinox (September 21st) provides a snapshot for the last quarter of the year. As it happens, that same day Jupiter and Neptune arrive at the next phase in their decade-long cycle. This suggests a turning point as regards global financial affairs. It may be that chill financial winds blow. It`s arguably important that as early as the Sun`s alignment with Mars on September 3rd, that you carry out a personal audit to see how well you could withstand any challenges. These might not come until just after the Full Moon on 14th. Property management looks to have much attention and yes could prove expensive. Yet it`s far from all bad news: the potential to develop another revenue stream increases when both Mercury and Venus move together over the top of your solar chart mid-month. A bonus is possible. Carrying out yet another audit around the New Moon on September 28th should also prove a wise move. It`s then, that in partnership with a relative that you could realise the value of an asset that no longer brings pleasure or usefulness to either of you.

Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

Events early this year inspired you to explore your options. What you learnt roused such enthusiasm about changes that, only a short while before, you`d have firmly rejected. This flexible mood has continued all year, with you exploring if not embracing a range of new pursuits, goals and in some cases, alliances. While you`re delighted, certain well-meaning individuals are raising questions. Listen and consider these. Although you`ll probably proceed as you intended, those investigations will be informative, and you`ll be touched by others` concern.

The Full Moon on the 14th puts stress on your bank account. Fees may be deducted from your paycheque, leaving you with very little to show for your hard work. No matter how much you complain, you will not be able to recover the money you rightfully deserve. Treat this setback as a learning opportunity. Before signing a contract, show the document to a legal professional. They`ll help protect your interests. On the 28th, the anxious New Moon will make you feel like fish out of water. It will be necessary to take a crash course in a specialised subject. At times, you`ll wonder if you can do a good job with so little training. Be patient and keep asking questions. A demanding teacher may seem like a terrible person at first. As your relationship evolves, you`ll realise your instructor has your best interests at heart. Work hard to satisfy this taskmaster; the results will ultimately benefit you.

September might not be the easiest of months and yes you could be caught in the crosswinds. It`s arguably important -especially around September 3rd, that you keep need detailed notes of where you are financially. It may be possible to alter your situation – but only if you can keep a clear head and get appropriate support. Reaching out for help between 9th and the Full Moon on September 14 as you work on your balance sheet would be wise. Then, at the Full Moon when both Mercury and Venus move into another of the Air signs, you could adopt a fresh approach. It may be possible to renegotiate deals the following week. In short, though there will surely be factors over which you could have little control, you could at least understand exactly what`s going on and put together a plan to be implemented before the end of the month. Key trading dates include 25th and 26th. On a very positive note, at the last day of September, you could realise a sale that significantly improves your bank balance.

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

The past months` exciting but unsettling events have inspired everybody. While most are mere intriguing ideas, some of what`s arisen is increasingly promising. During September first half, those ideas begin to come together. Add the thrilling new concepts and the magical events triggered by the Pisces Full Moon, on 14 September, and suddenly you`re confident about what`s next. While many questions remain, overall, there`s increasing confidence that what seemed merely an inspiring vision only recently could turn into thrilling, if not life-changing, plans.

You`re tired of being pushed around by a romantic or business partner. The Full Moon on the 14th demands you confront this bully. You`ve always been accommodating in relationships. There should be a limit to your generosity. The next time you are commanded to do something unpleasant, put your foot down. If this alliance falls apart at the seams, so be it. You`ll be free to pursue more rewarding relationships. There`s a strong possibility that you`ll enjoy your independence so much that you`ll wait a long time before getting involved with someone else again. The New Moon on the 28th puts a crimp in your finances. Instead of splashing out on luxuries, use your hard-earned cash to pay off debts. It will take time to fulfil all your obligations, but when you do, your confidence will soar. It will be much easier to accept challenges after you achieve economic freedom.

With so many planets in Mutable signs like your own, you could feel pushed this way and that – at least until the Full Moon on 14th. Cash flow could be wild and furious. The Full Moon coincides with both Mercury and Venus changing signs. This should work favourably with regard to joint financial management. Indeed, between that date and the Equinox on September 21 (which this year coincides with your two ruling planets reaching the next phase in their cycle), it may be possible to determine a more appropriate strategy. That said, dealing with loss or financial banana skins is probable between 6th and 10th. Indeed, these experiences that could lead you to arrange an urgent meeting with an adviser between 12th and 14th. Yet if you are in a position to make investment, you could find bargains – especially in the last nine days of September. Focusing on artisans, antiques or long-established businesses should work well especially around 25th and 26th. You might also be tipped off about a product that is coming to market that has educational value and which good fast reward.
