Light A Candle Today!
In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

Llewellyn’s Spell A Day
In Accordance with Cord and Plug
August 04, 2019 by Estha McNevin

Have you ever found yourself ensnared in the cables of doom that journey beyond the nether regions from your computer screen or PC tower? Make today the last day of chaos by summoning Mercury, the god of thought, order, science, reason, and electricity to help bring a colorcoded system of order to the tangled anarchy of mercurial blasphemy beyond the desktop.

Use colored duct tape to identify internet and router cords. Label each color with a Mercury symbol and the number of a local or famous highway, such as Route 66, Highway 93, or Rural Road 10. Then make a list of your personal coding system and offer it to the god Mercury as a memento of your devotion to order and reason. Finally, sit before your computer in the quicksilver glow of Mercury’s blessing as you feel the ease and precision with which your mind can map your workspace.
Turn Your Hotel Room into a Magickal Place
August 03, 2019 by Najah Lightfoot

It’s the height of summer travel season. While we love to get away, it’s comforting to have a bit of home with us when we travel.

Before you take off on your adventure, make yourself a mini-spell travel kit. You’ll need your favorite bandana or scarf, a package of salt, and a small bottle of Florida Water.

When you reach your destination, place your scarf or bandana over a lamp shade or table. Instantly you’ve created atmosphere and added a piece of home to your dwelling.

Pour some salt in your hand, bless it, and add three pinches to a cup of water. Sprinkle the salted water in the corners of your room. Be sure to hit the mirrors, too.

Pour a bit of Florida Water across the inside threshold of your door. Finish by giving thanks for arriving safely at your destination. Know your dwelling is safe and protected.
Water Ritual
August 02, 2019 by Ember Grant

The goal of this ritual is to explore the water element and get in touch with it personally, renewing your connection for magical or spiritual practice. Find a place where you can hear running water—a stream, a waterfall, or even a fountain. If you don’t have access to one of these, you can listen to a recording. The sound of rain would also be appropriate. In addition, use actual water in the ritual, if desired. Consider the metaphysical qualities associated with water, such as cleansing and intuition. In addition, focus on respect for water. Chant:

“Water, as you move and flow,
remind us, you’re essential—
but with dangerous potential—
the gentle rain, the hurricane.
Keep us mindful, precious water.
Cleanse us, quench us”
Corn Blessing
August 01, 2019 by Blake Octavian Blair

Today is Lammas (also called Lughnasadh), the first of the three harvest festival sabbats. Corn is among the popular grains celebrated today, so it’s a perfect time to do a blessing of abundance on our homes.

Find a bundle of Indian corn and place it upon your altar. Gather the members of your household around it and hold your hands over the corn, with palms facing down. Say a blessing such as the following while sending your intent into the corn:

“Grain of corn, abundantly you grow,
Your blessings aplenty may we sow.
Through the year, may they grow.
Harvests blessings we shall know!”

Finish your blessing by anointing the corn with holy water, then hang the bundle in a place of honor, such as above your home’s main threshold, the altar, or the hearth.
Becoming the Magician
July 30, 2019 by Elizabeth Barrette

In the Tarot, the Magician represents mystical influence and knowledge. He stands over an altar laden with symbols of power. Setting up your altar this way is one approach to connecting with the Tarot.

For this spell you’ll need your altar, a Tarot deck, symbols of the four suits (typically cups, pentacles, swords, and staves), and a wand. Lay out the suit symbols on your altar, trying to match the image of your Magician card as closely as possible. As an example, you could use a chalice or bowl for cups, an altar plate or pentagram for pentacles, a sword or athame for swords, and a staff or wand for staves.

Take out the four aces and put one in each corner of the altar. Hold your wand over your head. Feel the energy of the Tarot. Visualize it forming a bridge between you and your deck, allowing you to commune with the cards and understand their meanings.

Afterward, return the aces to the deck and your tools to their usual places. It’s best to store your Tarot deck on or near your altar.
It’s Baseball Season!
July 29, 2019 by Najah Lightfoot

Who would have thought the simple act of hitting a rock with a stick would develop into America’s favorite pastime? Who would think watching nine men run around a diamond shape on green grass could inspire such passion, stories, and myths?

Today, take time to remember the favorite games you played as a kid, and take your inner child to a toy store. You need not buy anything. Just have fun looking at toys, puzzles, games, and stuffed animals. As adults, we sometimes need reminding of how important it is to step away from “adulting” and play a game.

If a toy or game calls out to you, by all means buy it! Thank your inner child for being with you, inspiring you. When you get home, put the toy on your altar to remind you that playtime is good for the soul.
A New Moon Purge
July 31, 2019 by Emyme

Has it been years since you first acquired some of your herbs, powders, and magical ingredients? Your rituals may have become more simplistic, so there may be jars and pots not opened for some time, or you can sense a lack of potency. What to do with all this magically infused yet natural matter? Return it to the source.

Today being Lammas Eve and a new moon makes it an ideal time for this spell. Gather the items you need to dispose of. In a far corner of your property, away from prying eyes, individually pour/shake the items into the ground, returning nature to nature.

“(Name of the ingredient),
you have served me well,
In rituals and spell to spell.
The powers you once held dispersed,
Gently return to the earth.”

Tarot Card of the Week
by Biddy Taot

The card drawn for this week is the Knight of Cups

This is your call to thrive on all things beautiful and be inspired by the many creative outlets available to you. You have dreamed about what it is you want to create and now it’s time to move forward with this dream to make it a reality. It may be an art project or something you feel ‘called’ to do, based on your emotions, imagination and intuition.

Be open to exploring your passions and your big ideas. You may find yourself drawn to a particular passion or hobby and now is the time to turn it into ‘something.’ While you’re in no hurry to reach the finish line, keep in mind that true imagination feeds on action; if you do nothing with your dreams, they will remain just that – dreams and not reality

Ask the Tarot: “How can I bring more beauty into my life?”

Heartwings Love Notes 891: Dealing with Anticipation

Heartwings says, “Thinking about something can make it seem more daunting.”

The appointment for my hip surgery was made more than three months ago. Now its time has come. While I feel positive about the outcome of the experience, I also feel a tiny bit apprehensive. Everything I have heard about the surgery from those who have had it done has been good. I even ran into someone who had the procedure done by the same doctor I have and she said hers had gone wonderfully and she was very pleased.

However my mind has been twirling around the upcoming surgery for all the months I have been waiting. Thinking about it has been something I have tried to avoid with little success. My thoughts have revolved endlessly about what I will be unable to do, for how long, as well as what I will need to have prepared and so forth and so on. Now as one who tries hard to be in the present moment as much of the time as possible, this has been a real teaching situation. Present moment mindfulness is not something to be practiced only during meditation. It is a frame of mind to be kept in place all through the day.

As a child I used to enjoy anticipation. I would think about going to the circus, something that happened once a year with great joy. I often looked forward to going to the library to get a pile of new books to read. An avid reader, I often devoured a book a day whenever I could manage to get the time to do so. School vacations were a great source of anticipation. Before they arrived they always seemed to stretch out invitingly and then even when they were over, I could still look forward to the next one.

There was one form of anticipation that was unpleasant. That was when I had done something I shouldn’t and my mother would say, “Wait ’til your father gets home!” Although my father was a kind man, I knew whatever punishment was coming would be more severe if he administered it. My anticipation of the surgery is not with dread, however, but with joy. I look forward to more mobility, less pain and a better sleep at night. Meanwhile I am trying hard to stay as focused as possible on the present moment.

May you find it easy to maintain mindfulness as you practice.

Blessings and Best Regards, Tasha Halpert

PS Dear readers, Thank you for your prayers and for your well wishing for my upcoming surgery. I’ll keep you posted.

The Paradox of Spirit
By Madisyn Taylor

The self is not small or big, but is both at the same time – Our spirit is like a drop in the ocean of spiritual energy.

Each of us has a spiritual self that animates our bodies and infuses our thoughts and feelings. Our language is limited to the world we know for descriptions of something that perhaps cannot be fully comprehended by the human mind. Therefore, only metaphors approach the expressions that give us a true sense of our spiritual nature. The paradox lies in opposing concepts, all of which are true at the same time. And in harmonizing the opposites, we begin to know the wonders of the spirit.

The self is not small or big but is both at the same time. Our spirit is like a drop in the ocean of spiritual energy. Although our spirit seems like a small, disconnected part of a larger whole, it is still made of the same things and can become part of the vast ocean once again. Our individual spirit seems to inhabit our bodies like a passenger in a vehicle but at the same time is not bound by our bodies. Spirits can reach across the miles to touch the heart of a loved one or expand to become one with the universe. We may feel small and perhaps insignificantly young when we look up at the stars, but we are made of the same basic elements. Perhaps looking at the stars is merely a reflection of what is going on within each atom and cell of our being. We are a universe within a universe. Our spirits are ever renewing, yet ageless and eternal. So the self is not new or old but both at once.

So our spiritual self is not small or big, new or old. We may experience life as good and bad, right and wrong, happy and sad, but this is the experience of the material world of dualities, not the truth of our spritual nature. By going within to touch the eternal and changeless energy at our center, we can go beyond the contrasting metaphors to the experience of oneness. And in that connection we can know big and small, new and old, movement and stillness. By accepting the paradox of spirit, we open ourselves to the fullness of our own being.

Crystals Associated with Fire

The element, Fire is associated with the Summer season and with heat.

In the Chinese Medicine paradigm, the element is associated with the heart, pericardium, small intestines and related to the tongue.

Fire represents physical strength, force, courage, desire, initiative, fertility, passion, purification, and rejuvenation. It represents both light and heat. A positive fire person is strong, courageous and bold, dramatic and passionate in all areas within himself.

Emotionally, this element is associated with the mind and its stability. The heart is the “seat” of the mind and therefore, its highest expression is love. Enthusiasm, warmth in human relationships and conscious awareness.

Here are some of my favorite crystals representing fire:

Fire Agate:

Most often found in North America. Comes in shades of orange, brown, blue, or green. A strong connection to the energies of the earth. Excellent stone to use before meditating. Induces a feeling of relaxation. Helps alleviate problems relating to the stomach and endocrine system. Helps you examine and deal with problems in a calm and safe manner. Helps take the edge off difficult experiences. Recommended for dentists, optometrists, and those in the healing profession.

Properties: This ancient petrified resin (possibly pine tree) has electromagnetic properties. Rubbing a piece of amber with a cloth will build up an electric charge that makes it attract small items such as wood shavings, paper, and straw. It is excellent at detoxification and protection from radiation, especially x-rays, sun, computers, airport, planes, and other people’s energies. Due to its strong connection to nature and the earth, amber is a great stone for grounding our higher energies. Amber can add stability to your life. Helpful in clearing up depression and suicidal thoughts, therefore, bringing about a positive mental state. Also useful as a memory aid, which makes it a good stone for studying. Amber is used for past life work, divination, and scrying. It aligns mental and emotional bodies via its deep orange and yellow color.

Properties: The martyr stone aptly named, due to the legend of this stone being at the foot of the cross and stained by the drops of blood from Jesus. Metaphysically, bloodstone is used to either promote a calm, tranquil atmosphere that is grounding or revitalize insufficient energy. A great stone for mental exhaustion. This stone represents both courage and strength and is used for achieving these attributes. It is associated with honesty and integrity and is useful in removing obstacles in life. A classic stone for wealth, it attracts abundance and good luck. Most effective on the Heart (green) and Root (red) Chakra.

Properties: This stone represents confidence, boldness, initiative, dramatic abilities, assertiveness, and outgoingness. Precision, analysis, stimulates appetite, encourages celebration and brings awareness of feelings. It is the stone of passion and sexuality and is associated with the Sacral/Spleen Chakra. This stone helps you feel anchored and comfortable with your surroundings. Provides a connection to the past or to historical events. Carnelian can improve motivation. Helps one achieve greater success in career or personal matters. Helps ground people who meditate. Carnelian is one of the most helpful crystals for healing trauma, stress and emotional wounds that have accumulated in the etheric body or the Aura and are now manifesting as physical symptoms.

Properties: This stone is very versatile and is used for mental and emotional clarity, problem-solving, memory issues, will power, optimism, confidence, and self-discipline. It reduces anxiety, fear and depression. An energizing and highly beneficial crystal, citrine absorbs, transmutes, grounds and dissolves negative energy, which makes it a very protective stone. Citrine crystals are invigorating and positive. They can surround and fill anyone with its brilliant color, energizing every aspect of life. Because of its matrix of iron and quartz, it is most effective on the Sacral/Sexual/Navel Chakra, the Solar plexus Chakra and Crown Chakra. The grounding abilities of citrine help to alleviate anxiety, as the more orange, encourages creative flow and sexual arousal, where the more yellow citrine has a soothing affect on the digestive system. Citrine energizes every level of the aura, cleansing and balancing the subtle bodies as it aligns it with the physical body. Citrine is the stone of abundance. It teaches us the lessons of achieving wealth and prosperity. Not just on a monetary level, but in all aspects of our lives.

Properties: This crystal is the most recommended stone for grounding and is associated with the Root Chakra, by encourages one’s survival instincts and is centering. Hematite condenses scattered feelings, turns fuzziness into mental clarity, enhances concentration, memory, practicality, helps those who study, do bookkeeping, detailed work and helps with sound sleep. Considered the symbol of life energy, hematite allows for more confidence, will power and boldness. Helps us adjust to being physical. A protective stone and helps bolster low self-esteem. Hematite is known to deflect negativity. It restores equilibrium, stability and is also used for astral projection. It brings our awareness back to the body and helps one maintain their sense of self. If worn, Hematite should be placed near the base of the spine.

Red Jasper:

Properties: This stone works much like Bloodstone in its link to the circulatory system. Beneficial in battling diseases of the blood and detoxifying blood-rich organs like the liver. It helps bring problems to light before they are a threat. Also used for protection, courage, energy. Help with blood, relieve anemia, stop bleeding, heal rashes and wounds. Red Jasper can be used at the Root Chakra and represents Earth, Physical identity, oriented to self-preservation. Located at the base of the spine, this chakra forms our foundation. It represents the element earth and is therefore related to our survival instincts, and to our sense of grounding and connection to our bodies and the physical plane. Ideally, this chakra brings us health, prosperity, security, and dynamic presence. The color for the root chakra is red and it is grounded with your power. Red stones are considered projecting stones and are used to destroy disease, strengthen conscious, courage, strength, physical energy, luck, and success. Dense, heavy, and/or opaque.

Properties: Obsidian is actually natural glass that is formed when hot lava is submerged in water. This is a strong grounding stone and is known as “the protector”. It is said to “mirror one’s soul. This stone brings about objectivity, dis-attachment and is grounding. It reduces fantasy and escapism. Absorbs and dissolves anger, criticism, fear, and therefore is protective. This unusual black stone absorbs darkness and converts it to white light energy. It is a warm and friendly stone, which is used at the Root Chakra, encouraging one’s survival instincts and is grounding. Black obsidian brings higher Chakra light into lower ones; cleanses and uplifts. Changes fear into flexibility with the advent of change. Obsidian is used in scrying for divination purposes and often found in mirrors and crystal balls. Obsidian is used for transformation.

Properties: Balances and grounds. Reduces the sex drive. Promotes fidelity. Absorbs and flattens emotional intensity. Androgynous. Excellent for centering/aligning total person with higher powers. Banish grief, enhance self-control, wise decision-making, encourages happiness and good fortune. Can be used to provide a “peek” into the future, helps one to follow the path alone, promotes personal strength, understand the reality of the moment, become the master of one’s own future. Helps with disorders of soft tissue, bone marrow, and the feet. Black: Root Chakra. Grounding. Green: Heart Chakra. Yellow: 3rd Seriousness, logic. Blue: 5th Chakra. Found in Italy, US, and in Mexico. The shapes or patterns that Onyx holds inside it have led some to suggest that Onyx has a picture in it that tells a story or carries a lesson. An Onyx will retain the memory of the physical occurrences surrounding a person. A strong stone to use in psychometry because it tells the story of the wearer. A strength-giving stone. A good stone for athletes or people under extreme mental and emotional stress. It brings balance to the mind or body as well as strength of mind. A good stone for those who are flighty by nature. A strengthening stone that can help you approach a lesson or task with greater self-confidence.

Fire Opal:

Properties: A silicate. Contains water, correlating with our emotions. Clarifies by amplifying and mirroring feelings, buried emotions, desires (including love and passion). Less inhibition, more spontaneity. Crown and Brow Chakra. Visualization, imagination, dreams, healing. Easily absorbs, stores emotions and thoughts. Fragile. Fades/cracks in sun, heat, salt, acidic foods. Moisten frequently with water or oil. Some cancel/negate other gems. May stimulate passion, temper, energy. Opals, particularly Fire Opals, are good for business, though they can adversely affect the solar plexus.

Properties: Wealth, Joy, Love, Sexual Energy and Power. Warms energizes after exhaustion. Strengthens physical and emotional heart (4th chakra), love, courage, confidence, vitality, stamina, strength, leadership, success over challenges. Intensifies all emotions (passion, jealousy, impatience, love….) Attempted use for pressure/control (for love) backfires onto user. Used for reproductive/root Chakra; infections, cholesterol, clots, blood detox (alcohol, caffeine), sexual blocks. A wonderful stone whose stimulating energy can bring startling things to light. An amplifier of energy-both positive and negative. Can bring anger or negativity to the surface quickly. Should be used with a knowledge of how to gain from the experience. Otherwise, you are likely to be overcome by the passion it stirs up. Can also amplify positive energy. Helps us in all matters of love, including a love of ourselves. Stimulates motivation and visualization.

In happiness,

The Time Machine Part 3
by Stephen Halpert

The Chief warned Hiram and Emily not to leave town. They agreed they’d stay close to home. Emily put her new shoes away and started peeling carrots for her vegetable stew. “Hiram,” she said “This time machine is one of your greatest achievements. I think you should write everything down and draw up some detailed plans to show the patent office in Washington.”
“Emily,” Hiram said. “I can’t. I really can’t. I have no idea what I did.”
“But you invented a time machine,” she said. “Hiram this is not a time for false modesty. I think you should feel proud. And not only did you create something astounding but it even worked.”
“But I didn’t invent it.”
She put the carrots into a large pot. “Then who did? Some of the MIT students who attended your lecture last year at the library?”
“No! If only it were that easy. It would simplify matters considerably.”
“But you built it didn’t you?”
Hiram took a deep breath. “Emily, I’m not a scientist. Heisenberg’s theories make little sense to me. I know this may seem strange to you, but I was guided in lucid dreams by Leonardo, Copernicus and Galileo.”
Emily’s mouth dropped open.
“They come to me while I’m asleep, usually between three and five in the morning. When I wake up I write down what I can remember but its always a jumble. However, after breakfast when I go down to the basement my hands know what to do”
“You’re confusing me Hiram. You did what you did without knowing what you were doing?”
“I connected different dials and colored knobs to various wires. Then once finished I still didn’t understand what I had done. Probably because it made no sense considering I know nothing of quantum mechanics.” He smiled. “But I knew I was on to something when the apple disappeared.”
Emily sighed and patted his hand.
That night Hiram had another lucid dream. He was in a room with Copernicus, Leonardo and Galileo.
Leonardo was speaking. “We made the correct application of matter and anti matter.” He turned and welcomed Hiram.
Galileo unrolled a schematic of a rectangular shape that would deflect vast quantities of energy and protect those seated within as it traveled through time.
“It is really quite simple,” Leonardo chuckled. “Right before our eyes, and it took this long.”

“Unrealized until now,” Copernicus added.
Hiram awoke and sat up in bed.” He was clutching onto a thought about the brain and how through some sort of cosmic visualization it could direct itself back through time. Leonardo had said that the process could be activated through focus and correct application of energy modification.
He tapped Emma gently on the shoulder. “I’ve just had another amazing dream.”
“Yes, dear,” she mumbled. “We’ll talk in the morning. Go back to sleep.”
But then Emily’s curiosity woke her up. She opened her eyes, turned and looked at Hiram. He was staring intently at the ceiling. She peered at him.
“They said we all have the ability to time travel.
“Who? Someone in your dream?”
“Copernicus, Leonardo and Galileo, I think they’re making some modifications to help time travelers to get back to the present more easily.”
Meanwhile Sergeant Bugle was making his way toward home. Amidst delirious fans he worked his way to the Brookline T Stop, put some of his quarters into the turnstile and looked around for a train schedule. How was he to get back? He stood facing west. Then he saw a train pull in and stop.
Saying a little prayer he got on, sat down and closed his eyes. He remembered what Mrs. Case said about how she got back. She had been thinking hard about her home. He pictured the Police Station and kept his mind focused on it. When he would start to think other thoughts he’d reinforce his image and keep thinking about it. He kept that up as the various stops came and went. When it got to his, he got up and left the train. Still thinking intently about the Police Station, he walked toward it. To his great relief he finally saw it. With a huge smile he stumbled into the Chief’s office.
“You’re here!” The Chief said. “How’d you get back to town?”
“I found a train and took it. This is unbelievable! I went back in time.” Then he pulled out a scorecard and two 2004 World Series Championship tee shirt. “Bought one for me and one for my son.”
The Chief examined the scorecard carefully. “This is real. That man Case has built a machine that can send people back in time.”
“Oh yes,” the Sergeant said. “Chief, his machine took me back ten years, I landed on my feet in Fenway Park, just like that. Then coming back I kept my mind really focused on the station, just as it looks now. Boy am I glad to be here!”
Bugle left to go home. The Chief picked up his phone and punched in some numbers. “Hello. It seems a resident here in town, Hiram Case has invented a machine that actually takes people back in time.”
“It’s good that you called.” The bland voice said. “Thank you for you for letting us know.” (To be continued)

Rose-Vanilla Massage Oil

½ cup jojoba oil
½ cup coconut oil
2 tablespoons dried rose petals (like these)
1 vanilla pod, chopped into ¼-inch pieces
½ teaspoon vitamin e oil (optional – helps to keep the oils from going rancid as quickly)
5 drops rose absolute essential oil

” Using one of the oil infusion methods described here, infuse the chopped vanilla pod and dried rose petals into the oils. Note that you can substitute your favorite carrier oils for the jojoba oil and coconut oil in this recipe, or you could also do just one oil instead of two if that is all that you have on hand.
” Using a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer, strain the herbs from the oil and compost the leftover herbs.
” Add the vitamin E and rose absolute essential oil to the infused oil, shake to combine, and keep in a sealed bottle in a cool dark location when not in use.
To Use the Massage Oil:
Pour a generous amount of massage oil into the palm of your hands and rub together your hands before massaging into the skin. Be sure to warm the oil slightly before using for massage by running hot water over the closed bottle or by setting the closed bottle in a bowl of hot water. Do not microwave oil before use, as this could cause hot spots in the oil that can burn skin.

Each day offers us an opportunity to renew our resolve to the universe, that we’re ready for change.

One of the hardest things in life is feeling stuck in a situation that we don’t like and want to change. We may have exhausted ourselves trying to figure out how to make change, and we may even have given up. However, each day offers us an opportunity to renew our resolve and to declare to the universe that we are ready for change. We may even say out loud that we have tried and struggled and have not found a way, but that we are open to help, and that we intend to keep working to create change for ourselves. Making this declaration to the universe, and to ourselves, may be just the remedy for the stagnation we are experiencing. And, it can be done today, right now.

It is difficult to understand, even with hindsight, how the choices we have made have added up to our current situation, but it is a good idea to examine the story we tell ourselves. If we tend to regard ourselves as having failed, this will block our ability to allow ourselves to succeed. We have the power to change the story we tell ourselves by acknowledging that in the past, we did our best, and we exhibited many positive qualities, and had many fine moments on our path to the present moment. We can also recognize that we have learned from our experiences, and that this will help us with our current choices.

When we do this kind of work on how we view our past self, we make it possible for the future to be based on a positive self-assessment. This inner shift may allow us to get out of the cycle we’ve been in that’s been keeping us stuck. Now we can declare our intentions to the universe, knowing that we have done the inner work necessary to allow our lives to change. Allow today to be the day to end cycles and enter into a new way of being.

If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Even pivotal decisions aren`t up to you. While annoying, you`ll gradually realise that much of what`s being dealt with is in the hands of others or, in fact, up to destiny. This, in turn, enables you to focus on those situations in which you have some degree of power or control. These aren`t as interesting but, dealing with these now clears your time for the future.

Group activities bring out the best in you. Friendships are amazing and your social scene is a great source of happiness. You`re swamped with invitations and you might take this chance to give out a few of your own. Make the most of these fun times while it lasts. If someone brings up a contentious matter, change the subject. Relationships will continue to be fun as long as you keep conversations light. Business will mix well with pleasure.

Excess is in the air. This should be a wonderful week if you`re on holiday – though it is perhaps wise to point out that your risk-management might not be in best condition and you could overspend, overheat or overindulge. Putting the brakes on likely won`t be easy. If you are at work, you could seize the moment and make contact with those who live and work far away or undertake a short course bringing enthusiasm to whatever you are doing. It seems true that every sign goes through a cycle of learning and yearning. Occasionally these come together. That certainly seems to be what happens for you this week. Whether you`re self-investing through well-earned relaxation or quenching a thirst for knowledge, by the time that Mercury returns to another of the Fire signs (Leo) early next week, you should have the energy and impetus to prepare for your next project.

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Initially you`re likely to regard clashes with others as no more than that, minor differences. Actually, in most cases the individuals in question are more aware of changes that aren`t just pressing, they`re already being made. If you`re tempted to battle these, think again. They`re not only timely, you`ll be better off because of them. If you`re still unsure, for now, go with the flow.

You`re eager to explore new horizons. This will pave the way to you achieving a variety of objectives. The more flexible you are the more enjoyable life will be. Go ahead with a money-making idea. What have you got to lose? If your love life is in the doldrums, look for ways to make romance more exciting. Are you single? Get out and have some fun and you will attract admirers at every turn.

With the Sun, Venus and Mars all moving across the base of your solar chart as Mercury picks up speed and once again moves forward, you too could go through a week of revival. It might be argued that this would be a fabulous time to be on holiday. You won`t be alone in this kind of thinking and of course in some ways it`s normal for this time of year. What is different presently, is the amount of support being given by close friends and colleagues. Aware now that you need to do things differently, you`d perhaps benefit from having an exciting and fresh challenge. Friends may sense that you`re preparing to move forward at speed in just a few weeks` time and that you need their encouragement. Lively correspondence with those who are ready to invest in your expertise marks this week as special too. What they may need to know -and before next Monday when Mercury arrives at a particularly tender degree next Monday (12th) is what you would tend to have working before the end of August.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

In early July, when your ruler Mercury went retrograde, you began a journey of questioning, confusion and unexpected discovery. The resulting insights have led to changes in existing arrangements and some, as yet unresolved, regarding your priorities. You`ll not only be focusing on these this week, what you decide will be very different, and far more rewarding, than you`d have imagined possible only weeks ago.

Work that needs a mix of concentration and intuition will go better than expected. People love having you around and you seem to be the pick of the social bunch. A jealous relative might resent your popularity. Going out to dinner with colleagues after hours will be a fun way to get to know each other better. Energy levels might drop later in the week so get anything important out of the way early as soon as you can.

Mercury is no longer retrograde. That this coincides with the Sun, Venus and Mars moving through one of the Fire signs suggests you`ll be in the mood to play rather than fret about what`s not gone `right`. Think of yourself as the air that keeps a fire going. You could certainly fan flames this week and shouldn`t need to look far to find playmates. Spectacular aspects between the Sun and Venus with Jupiter moving through your opposite sign, suggests that socially, this week will be quite extraordinary. These may be perfect conditions if you`re on holiday. Even at work you may be tempted to try out a different language or learn new skills. If there is a downside to this week, it`s that it could prove extra-ordinarily expensive. At some point you may have to assess whether or not you`re making wise investments.

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

For ages you`ve known you`d need to rethink issues involving the wise use of your money, ideas, time and, in some cases, your emotional support. While some are resolved, others come to a head this week. That might seem worrying. However, what arises will be as beneficial as it is unexpected. If you`ve any questions, ask now; and be frank. What you learn will be crucial.

It might seem as if other people get all the luck but are you just feeling sorry for yourself? Someone has achieved something you wanted for yourself but this doesn`t mean good things won`t happen to you. Something will occur that will make you realise you can be just as fortunate. Plans made with a neighbour are subject to change due to their unpredictability. You won`t be happy with their careless approach to a project you took on jointly.

Mercury is now in direct motion and in your sign. Between now and next Monday, you could both revive old memories, create new ones but also experience the sense that you`re moving on and that needs have changed. This could prove an expensive week however. The need to indulge and even experience excess will likely be strong. You could also find it physically demanding. What may be fascinating is to learn that those whom you thought were really close are, like you, contemplating major developments. In exploring your shared objectives there may be moments when you feel momentarily discomfited. These though, are likely to be balanced quickly and before the weekend by excitement that certain restraints will soon be removed.

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Having faced, and in some cases battled, unwelcome changes you`re both weary and cautious about yet more unexpected developments. Judging by Wednesday`s link between your ruler the Sun and fortunate Jupiter, even sudden and seeming unwelcome ideas, events or offers are in your best interests. Doubts? Waste no time on debate. Simply try them out. Experience will prove far more convincing than anybody`s words could.

Your partner or best friend has some interesting ideas. Conversations are a great source of inspiration. Some changes they are going through will get you thinking about how you might make improvements to your life too. Keep an eagle-eye open for new opportunities. A project you are setting up will get the backing of some powerful people. Read paperwork carefully if you are applying for funding. You need to be specific about this venture`s aims and objectives.

Let`s hope that you are on holiday and can take advantage of fabulous aspects. Certainly, it seems that you will be in the mood to play. Of course, in the business sense that should bring your creative thinking to the fore; and yes, you may find that others are excited about ideas you presented a few weeks ago. The good news is that Mercury is now in direct motion. Next Monday (12th) presents a turning point for all signs but perhaps, especially so for you. This week is all about preparation for encounters between 12th and the Full Moon on 15th. It might fascinate you just how much colleagues – especially those who`ve been in position for a long time, – are now tuning into your suggestions. True, they could have done this almost a year or so ago. Whatever your role, either in a local organisation or at work, your voice is set to be heard. An alliance – most likely with someone born under Cancer looks set to move forward. Don`t push this too hard too fast, there is much to be gained by slowing the pace to what they feel comfortable with.

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Over the past four weeks, you`ve wrestled with a variety of issues and obstacles. While some were triggered by your ruler Mercury`s retrograde cycle, others involved unexpected changes in certain longstanding arrangements. While you`ll have been tempted to drag your feet, the momentum of events forced you to go along with things.. Looking back, you`re already thankful and, as more plans come together, will be even happier.

This is a good time to form a partnership with someone who has always stood by you no matter what. Together you might explore ways to improve your work performance or bring benefits into your world.. Resources and property that are jointly owned will increase in value. In romance, don`t assume that everything is rosy just because you want it to be that way. Pay attention to your partner`s body language. Better still, be prepared to discuss sensitive issues.

Your ruling planet is now in direct motion and that suggests that you too are ready to change tack and move forward at a different speed – though that might result in you working long hours. An alternative would be that you find you`re talking about working projects – even if you`re on holiday. Fact is that you`re now ready and propelled toward expansion. True, by the time that Mars reaches your sign midmonth, the side of you that worries, will likely get the upper hand. For now, grabbing hold of the vision and assessing potential is key. In particular, relationships with those whose working style is very, very different to your own (perhaps because they have to adjust to different weather patterns), show signs of promise. Note too, that before the weekend you could get involved in what might be described as an archaeological dig. It may seem very important to discover the truth with a history behind a situation.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

As you`ve lived through the past weeks` twists and turns, you`ve often wondered what would be left of your life as you know it. Yet now that things are calmer, you`re beginning to realise what seemed seriously worrying changes weren`t just long overdue, they freed you to venture into new territory, and in many ways. For now, focus on exploration; and decisions? During August`s second half.

You`re tempted to rush into a new joint arrangement but stop and think about it. Are you about to repeat the same old patterns of past failed partnerships? Before starting anything new, spend some time weighing all the positives and negatives. You will appreciate a friend`s show of loyalty and support. Your family are keen to hear your plans for the future and they will encourage you to take up a new challenge.

By mid-August, the focus turns to organisation and preparation. Before the, it would likely be wise to allow yourself many days of blue skies thinking. It`s perhaps imperative presently you allow your brain to relax and refocus. Opportunities to expand your horizons are likely to come thick and fast before your birthday. To be ready to seize those will likely require that you first of all identify new aims and objectives. Much of this is indicated by Mercury`s station at the very apex of your solar chart. A strong possibility is that someone born under Leo will play a significant role. Their input on design and concept should be given careful consideration. It`s a Sagittarius though who is most likely to come up with a plan that would propel you to a slightly altered career route – one that brings as much pleasure as it does financial reward.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

You begin the week uneasy, if not in battle mode over changes you regard as heavy-handed but, also, completely unnecessary. The real problem is that you`re short of facts so anxious; but with things moving so swiftly, nobody could possibly make guarantees or know everything. Instead of struggling to learn more, trust your powerful intuition for guidance. It will reassure this is the way to go.

Tension in the family is affecting your outlook and making you miserable. You wonder when a situation that`s caused you a lot of worry is going to end. Travel, especially the idea of a journey overseas, will be just your cup of tea. It`s time to explore new landscapes. Time away from familiar places will also help you look at family life from a different perspective. You have more options than you first realised.

It would be wholly understandable if you began this week seeking a literary feast – resulting in a spending spree. Whether you are choosing books to take on holiday, or need mental stimulus at a different level you could easily break a book or educational budget. It`s probable too that you`ll have increased contact with those who live and work far away and who are at some level viewed as experts: thriving on renewed dialogue with them. Nor do things stop there. Though you might not be initially aware, it`s probable that your considerable input to an event due to take place next month will be acknowledged. Plans may be made to honour your efforts or, a twist on this, your suggestions used to improve organisation for an event scheduled in 2020.. Either way, by the weekend it should be apparent that your star is rising..

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

No sign is better equipped to deal with sudden changes. Still, even you could be overwhelmed by the power and extent of the ideas, offers or events triggered by Wednesday`s link between the Sun and your ruler Jupiter. This could lead to discussions or questions, all aimed at delaying commitments until you know more. That`s unwise. You`re far better off plunging in, and learning from experience.

Be cautious with money. Even if you have cash to spare, don`t go overboard on your spending. Some expenses later in the month could take you by surprise. Being able to cover unexpected costs will give you peace of mind. Love is in the air. Many a single Sagittarius will be setting a wedding date for later in the year and this week is especially supportive for announcing these happy intentions.

By midweek you will surely want to feel on top of the world. With both the Sun and Venus making fabulous aspects to your ruling plane, Jupiter, (which is still moving through your sign), the need for broader horizons is great. You might also be in the mood to celebrate. Perhaps you`ll also sense that a corner has been turned. It`s just possible that a relative will have news that`s worth toasting. It would be as well to be prepared for yet another surge of energy to come your way next Monday, 12th. This might well be linked to discussions taking place before the end of this week and which make clear that someone close is headed on fresh career path. They may need your wisdom and optimism as they to adjust direction. As the Moon reaches your sign on Friday, be prepared to be in the limelight and for others to be near hanging on your every word.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Hopefully, during the past weeks` often chaotic but ultimately worthwhile changes or sudden events, you`ve learnt that what seems most worrying can be a golden opportunity, if in disguise. As a Capricorn and an earth sign, you prefer to gather facts first, think things through, then make decisions. Not only is that impossible, the more impulsive you are the better. You`ll soon learn why.

A youngster or maybe even a pet might be needing a lot more of your attention. Since they`re under the weather, you won`t mind giving them more of your time. In fact, you might enjoy this chance to fuss over them. A short message or e-mail could lead to pleasing developments. An important new project or work assignment will bring praise and admiring comments your way. Do this well and you could be rewarded with a promotion.

Perhaps you need new vistas? At some level, it seems your horizons are set to expand. Of course, it could be you simply just need fresh air – or perhaps it`s mental stimulus that you crave. With Mercury now in direct motion in your opposite sign, another possibility is that someone close – colleague or partner, who`s been incubating an idea some months, will finally present their thoughts, hopes and plans. A key date for the next stage of this is probably next Monday 12th, which looks to be a red-letter date for all signs. What`s discussed this Monday and Tuesday should at least alert you to what`s ahead. At another level entirely, you may be asked to take responsibility someone who is working in an unfamiliar area. They might need `translating` advice over Thursday Friday – not necessarily because they are stumped by language but perhaps a system that`s foreign to them.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

Recently you faced a series of clashes. Some were no surprise but others involved situations you regarded as straightforward or individuals whose reaction you thought you could anticipate. However, with the foundation of elements of your life shifting, these are simply part of a cycle of ultimately positive and worthwhile change. Knowing that, if you can`t say a whole-hearted yes, just don`t say no.

Friends and even strangers are drawn to your optimistic outlook. It`s easier to connect with others when you see the positive in situations and notice the good things around you. Focusing on your blessings will cause them to multiply. Are you single? You might be offered the chance to spend some time with someone you have been admiring from a distance. Forget your inhibitions and let your true feelings show.

With so much planetary activity in your opposite sign, it would be understandable if you felt that you were at the beck and call of others and servicing their needs rather than your own. This is likely exacerbated by the fact that Mercury is moving through the `working` area of your solar chart. Indeed, at some level you might wonder if you`ve become a worker bee. Mercury is now in direct motion though and mopping up past issues will likely not take as long as you imagine. Indeed, by the time that planet reaches your opposite sign next Monday, you may find that those who`ve given you much extra work are now ready to take the reins once more. Though, at one level you could easily feel exasperated, with fabulous aspects involving the Sun, Venus, and your social life also take off this week. In fact, as part of a team, you could be in your element.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

There`s no wrong way to inform somebody that, as much as you care about them, you can`t continue to support their increasingly unrealistic demands. The timing in taking such a stance is perfect, although, again, many will criticise you. Ignore those who`re being either impractical or sentimental and stick to the facts, which are you`re looking after your own best interests. The rest is simple.

It is time you enjoyed life more. Change comes from within. Surround yourself with friends who believe in you and this will help your confidence grow. Keep telling yourself that you can achieve whatever you want if you choose to make it happen. Your imagination is running wild. Activities that need original ideas and creative inspiration will bring you most pleasure now. Compose music, create designs or focus on an art project.

Pisces has a reputation for being all things to all people; chameleonlike. You could take on any character that you wish. That sense of being involved in amateur dramatics and playing multiple parts should come into play this week. Fabulous aspects between the Sun Venus and Jupiter all suggest a week of high-level if dramatic activity. This all looks to be in preparation for pending developments. Next Monday, August 12 looks as though it could be a red-letter day for all signs. Given your natural sensitivity, you may tune in to these vibrations this week and be ahead of others – aware of how this will likely affect their mental and emotional welfare. You might need to take a break midweek and consider your own position and what you will do as clouds clear and changed circumstances come into view.. On Friday, as the Moon reaches the apex of your solar chart, it is perhaps time for you to declare your long-term interests.
