Llewellyn’s Spell A Day

Boundary Vines Druidic Spell
May 19, 2019 by Elizabeth Barrette

Druids are famous for working with trees, but they also worked with smaller plants. Their sacred bushes and vines included brambles or blackberries, gorse, heather, and ivy. Some species such as hawthorn, hazelnut, holly, and willow can grow either as trees or as bushes. Now is a good time to charm your garden. If you don’t have one, you can do someone else’s or part of your yard or a park.

For this spell you will need long vines or thin stems, such as willow twigs or blackberry canes. Lay them around the garden’s edge to cast the circle. Then put your hands on the earth and chant:

“Cerridwen, goddess of death and birth,
Cerridwen, goddess of grain and earth,
Banish the bad and don’t let it in,
Gather the good and keep it within.”

Visualize the land nourishing your garden but pests being unable to enter. Afterward, leave the stems behind.
A Veil of Constellations
May 20, 2019 by Estha McNevin

Drawing your birth chart on a ritual veil is a wonderful way to get to know your astrology better. Choose a lightweight cotton-blend scarf and, using a t-shirt pen, begin by carefully drawing the wheel of the zodiac. Using your chart as a reference, mark each zodiac, planet, and house relationship. Be sure to include aspects such as conjunctions, trines, squares, and oppositions.

When your veil is complete, anoint it with orange flower water or oil. Bless it in the sunlight and moonlight of your birthday. This will charge it completely with your astrological energy signature, creating a star print. Veils are great tools for remote healing or red tent work. When worn ceremonially, this shroud can help us to better carry the weight of our karma. Such veils can also become treasured heirlooms for our families and coven members, should they wish to honor or remember us after we have passed on.

What Would You Do with a Windfall?
May 21, 2019 by Emyme

Your spells and castings for prosperity have provided that which you requested. Sharing is the best way to show gratitude, no matter how the money came to you. Water is necessary for life, so think about ripples in a pond. At home: is there a family member struggling with an expense? Pay it. In the local community: is there a local cause that attracts you? Donate. In your larger community (state/province): seek out volunteer organizations, and send a check. In your country: what natural disasters or humanmade tragedies have recently occurred? Contribute via an internet funding page. If you wish, research the many global nonprofits and commit part of your newfound wealth to them as well.

Naturally, pay your own bills first. It’s not good to give if it keeps you in debt. And give what you can. Do not overextend-that negates all the positive energy with which you began.

“Universe, Creator/Creatrix,
Lord & Lady, Goddess, Gaia:
My spirit overflows with gratitude
at the abundance provided.
Allow me to share, and guide my hand
in the distribution of this wealth.
Freely given, do not hold, all good
comes back to me threefold.”
Creativity Spell
May 22, 2019 by Deborah Blake

Today is the birthday of some notable people, including the renowned American artist Mary Cassatt (whose paintings often showed the bond between mother and child) and British writer Arthur Conan Doyle, best known for creating the character of Sherlock Holmes. These two could not be more different, but what they have in common is that they followed their passion, and the work that resulted touched many others along the way.

Are you following your own passion? Today, do something creative, whether it is art, cooking, or even crafting a beautiful altar. Here is a simple spell to help. Light a yellow candle and say:

“Spirit of air, help me be creative
In whichever way best expresses
my heart and soul
And touches others in positive ways.
Let me create beauty in the world
Or simply walk my path to joy.
So mote it be.”
A Travel Spell
May 23, 2019 by James Kambos

With the warm weather upon us , many of us will be traveling by car. This spell calls upon Hermes, the ancient Greek god of travel and highways, to protect your car. First find a rock that appeals to you along a road; this is one of the god’s symbols. Rub a drop of olive oil on the rock as you call upon Hermes:

“Protect me, Hermes, as I travel
here, as I travel there.
Protect me as I travel
near, as I travel far.
Hermes, protect all who
travel in my car.
So mote it be.”

Keep this rock in your car at all times. Renew the spell once a year.
Meditation on the Earth Element
May 24, 2019 by Ember Grant

This meditation is intended to help you reconnect with the qualities of the earth element, which is nurturing, grounding, fertile, and stable. Focus on whichever qualities are most needed for you at this time, for example, prosperity or healing.

Find objects for your altar that represent the earth element. Plants, flowers, stones, or statues of animals are all good choices. As you meditate upon the object(s) of your choice, invite the power of the earth element using this chant:

“Field, flower, tree, and stone,
every part of earth is home.
Nurture spirit, flesh and bone,
remind us we are not alone.”

To reinforce the connection, plant something in your garden or buy a potted plant as a reminder of the earth element in your life.

Van Van Spiritual Floor Wash
May 25, 2019 by Stephanie Rose Bird

In New Orleans–style Hoodoo, there is a potent and popular magickal oil called Van Van. It smells of the lemongrass it contains. Typically, it also contains pyrite, also called fool’s gold. Van Van oil has many purposes, including protection, clearing, luck, opening the way, abundance, and strength. This is a useful oil to add to your oeuvre of magickal potions, whatever your magickal path.

Van Van floor wash is a way to blend oil and water to fortify, clear, and protect your home, studio, or business. To a bucket of rainwater, add as many drops of Van Van oil as needed to give it a nice smell.

Set your intention for one of Van Van’s many qualities to imbue your space.

After sweeping the floor and ridding it of debris, use a mop to wash the floor with your Van Van spiritual floor wash.

Blessed be!
Starting a Magickal Journal
May 26, 2019 by Blake Octavian Blair

This is the anniversary of the death of Samuel Pepys in 1703. He was a member of the English parliament and navy; however, he is best known for the diary he kept, which was later published.

We can apply Pepys’s legacy to our personal spiritual practices. As a part of our practice, most of us keep a spiritual journal. If you already do so, today is a good time to consecrate and prepare or start a fresh one. If you do not yet keep a magickal journal, today is an opportunity to begin.

Take a blank journal and your favorite anointing oil or holy water, and stand before your altar. Hold the book to your third eye, beam your intent for the use of this journal into it, and then say a dedication of your choice while anointing the book down its spine. Place the journal on your altar to charge, then make an entry!

Tarot Card of the Week
from Brigit | Biddy Tarot

The Chariot – Reversed

Do you ever feel like you’re banging your head against a brick wall as you try to force your way through obstacles that are standing in the way of what you want? Trying to move forward with projects when everything seems to be getting in the way? The Chariot reversed indicates that it may be time to back off, regroup and consider whether you need to change direction.

If you’ve lost your motivation for something you were once passionate about, and no longer feel as committed to the outcome as you did when you started, take some time to tune into your intuition. Re-evaluate the situation and check in to see if this requires a course change or if you just need a refresh.

Then ask the Tarot: “Is there a deeper reason why things have become more challenging? What lesson can I learn here?”

Heartwings Love Notes 881 Creating a Memorial Honoring Loved Ones

Heartwings says, “We grieve for those lost to time.”

On Memorial Day, there is an annual ceremony dedicated to my grandfather in Beverly Farms, the town where he once lived. There is a square there named for him. This year will be its hundredth anniversary. The parade will stop there, the band will play, and a wreath will go on the pole with his name. As they do each year my brother and his wife will attend the ceremony. While I once used to go with my dad, and later on with my young children, I no longer live near enough to attend. I am glad he will do the honors for the family.

One day time runs out for each of us. It can’t be helped. It is said there are two sure things in life: Death and Taxes. We come to terms with both as best we can. Memorial Day puts us in mind of the former. While my grandfather perished in World War I, no other members of my family fought and died or had any connection to the military. For me then, Memorial Day is an opportunity to think about my loved ones who have passed out of time and into eternal life. There are more of them each year.

While it is nice to honor the fallen on this day, what seems important to me is to create a tangible memorial as a tribute dedicated to the memory of those precious who have passed from this life. It was with the passing of my first son that I initially thought of this. I wanted to honor his life, and because he loved poetry I decided to dedicate my poetry to him. While I’ve always written poetry, my decision then inspired me to look at life with the eyes of a poet and to write about what I see. In the near future I will be bringing out a small book, Poems and Prayers, dedicated to him.

While I wrote an occasional poem prior to his passing, in the nearly thirty years since his death I have written a great number of them, some of which I have published in various newsletters and others in my two books of articles, Heartwings: Love Notes for a Joyous Life and Up to my Neck in Lemons. Writing poetry has become increasingly important to me as an expression of my creativity. I have created other memorials also: My father loved nature, especially trees. My tribute to him is my love of the natural world, often expressed in poetry; mine to my mother is my photography, much of which are also of nature. I am grateful for the inspiration of the lives of these loved ones, and I honor them as best I can.

May you find good ways to honor those you love who have passed on.

Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert

PS If you have ways you may have done this, or are thinking of doing this, please share with me. I so enjoy your reflections and communications.

Memorial Day

It was Memorial Day. Harry and Bessie were visiting the cemetery to place flowers on Bessie’s brother’s grave. It was a muggy day with a threat of imminent rain.
Harry pulled at his collar. Why he had to wear a tie and jacket to do this was beyond him. Rudolph never wore much more than a tee shirt and jeans. He was regarded by the family as Bessie’s beatnik brother. Sadly Rudolph was killed by friendly fire while serving in the military at an army base in Georgia.
“He’d have made something of himself,” Bessie said placing a white flower on Rudy’s headstone.
“In this weather that flower will wilt before lunch,” Harry said. He stood patiently and mopped his bald spot with a handkerchief, while Bessie knelt and prayed. Looking around he noticed a thin angular woman with streaks of color in her gray hair. She walked with a decided limp, and Harry was tempted to offer her assistance.
When Bessie finished her reverie and stood up, Harry asked if she had noticed the woman. “She appeared to be around your age, only gaunt without much color in her cheeks.”
Bessie looked around. “Where? I don’t see anyone.”
“She was standing right over there by that grave.”
Bessie looked again. Shadows hid a small indistinguishable tombstone. “Are you sure? Maybe you only thought you saw someone but really didn’t. I notice when you wear a tie that sort of thing happens to you.”
“Believe me, I saw her.”
Bessie pulled at her dress, straightening it on her slim frame. “In that case she must have disappeared into thin air.”
They walked down the row to that particular grave. The stone was older than most. Time, rain and wind had worn the name away. “You said she looked thinner then me. Does that mean I’m putting on weight?”
He smiled. “No, I said gaunt, like pale and emaciated. You’ve still got your figure especially when you dress up.”
Bessie frowned. “Your eyes are playing tricks on you.”
Harry shook his head. “Maybe someday this will happen to you, and I’ll bet you won’t like it any more than I do,” he said. “You’ll see someone who isn’t there and then I’ll tell you that you’re seeing things.”
“I’m not saying you’re seeing things,” Bessie said. “Only that what you thought you saw isn’t there anymore. That’s different.”
Harry raised his eyebrows. “Well where could she have gone?”
“No need to get huffy,” Bessie said. She patted her flushed face with a handkerchief. “That sort of thing happens to me sometimes on the bus. I think I see someone, maybe even someone I know, and then the bus stops, the door opens and the person I thought I saw isn’t there anymore.”
“You mean whoever it was got off?”
“That seems logical I suppose. But no, that person didn’t get off, or at least I didn’t see them get off.”
“But a cemetery isn’t a bus,” Harry said.
“Maybe she’s a ghost,” Bessie said. “They do show up on holidays like Christmas and Easter. My Uncle Francis used to say he always saw the same ghost on Christmas Eve. Then he’d pour a shot of his special brandy, place it by the tree and when he woke up in the morning, the shot glass would be empty.”
“Maybe that was the ghost of Christmas past,” Harry chuckled. “Or maybe your Uncle Francis was a secret drinker. Who can tell anymore?”
“Harry, there’s a big difference between a ghost and someone who sneaks drinks. Believe me my Uncle Francis hardly ever touched a drop. My Aunt Thelma always called him eternally sober.”
“Except on Christmas Eve. ” Harry’s head came up. “Look, there she is!”
“Who? Where?” Bessie peered around at the rows of graves.
He pointed. “That woman, over there by that statue of one of the saints. See?”
“All I see is the statue of St. Francis.”
“Not to be confused with your Uncle Francis.”
Bessie looked at him. “Are you in a bad mood?”
“How can you even think such a thing,” Harry said. “Here it is Memorial Day. Probably so far the hottest day of the year and out of respect to your deceased brother I’m wearing a suit coat and a necktie.”
“Is that upsetting you?”
“Bessie believe me wearing a tie and jacket doesn’t upset me. I wear one ever day at the store. I’m used to it. I’ll probably have to wear one when I die so I can get into heaven.”
Bessie put her hand on his arm. “Of course you wear one at the store,” she said. “Customers need that assurance, especially when they buy a mattress–seeing an authority figure in a tie is important.”
“What’s that got to do with selling someone a mattress?”
“Oh don’t be argumentative,” Bessie said. “Not here today near Rudy’s grave. What would he think? And believe me Rudy’s more important to me than what someone buying a mattress might think.”
Harry pointed and tugged at Bessie’s arm. “Over there, by the grave next to the tree. Look, there she is.”
Bessie turned her head. “I don’t see anyone. And whoever she is leave her alone. Maybe the way you’re looking at her makes her nervous and she hides.”
“What about the way I look at someone? What are you talking about?”
“Harry it’s a known fact that when you look hard at someone your eyes get bigger. That alone could be frightening to some dear woman obviously here to pray for someone in her family.”
“Maybe it’s time you said goodby to Rudolph and we could go get lunch. Then he could go back to the coffee shop he liked, listen to folk music and drink more espresso.”
“You always thought he was a beatnik. I think you should apologize to Ruddy. Being thought of as a beatnik isn’t exactly complimentary.”
Harry’s face reddened. He knew better than to quibble. “Sure,” he said. “Sorry, Rudolph. I didn’t mean to insult you. Drink all the espresso you want. It’s okay with me.”
The sky darkened and a light rain finally began to fall. Harry and Bessie wended their way through the graves back to their car in the parking lot.
“Another year,” Harry said unbuttoning his collar and loosening his tie. He unlocked the car and opened the door for Bessie.
Bessie turned her head. “Is that her?” she asked.
“Who?” Harry said. He wished she’d get in so he could stay dryer.
“The woman you saw near Rudy’s grave. Over there near the Buick.”
Harry peered where Bessie had pointed. “I’m sorry, I don’t see anyone near that Buick.”
Bessie looked again. “If you can’t see her then you need new glasses.”
“Or,” he said. “Ghosts don’t drive Buick’s.”
They climbed into their car just as it began to pour.
“I hope she doesn’t get too wet,” Bessie said.
Harry turned the key in the ignition and started the car. He turned to her with a smile. “Do ghosts get wet?” he said.

Free of Gravity
By Madisyn Taylor

We take flight mentally and experience new insights when we rise above our habitual ways of thinking.

As earthbound beings, humans have always had a fascination with winged creatures of all kinds. The idea of being able to spontaneously lift off from the earth and fly is so compelling to us that we invented airplanes and helicopters and myriad other flying machines in order to provide ourselves with the many gifts of being airborne. Flying high in the sky, we look down on the earth that is our home and see things from an entirely different perspective. We can see more, and we can see farther than we can when we’re on the ground. As if all this weren’t enough, the out-of-this-world feeling of freedom that comes with groundlessness inspires us to want to take flight again and again.

Metaphorically, we take flight whenever we break free of the gravity that holds us to a particular way of thinking or feeling or being. We take flight mentally when we rise above our habitual ways of thinking about things and experience new insights. This is what it means to open our minds. Emotionally, we take flight when the strength of our passion exceeds the strength of our blockages; the floodgates open and we are free to feel fully. Spiritually we take flight when we locate that part of ourselves that is beyond the constraint of linear time and the world of form. It is in this place that we experience the essential boundlessness that defines the experience of flight.

Taking flight is always about freeing ourselves from form, if only temporarily. When we literally fly, in a plane or on a hang glider, we free ourselves from the strength of gravity’s pull. As we open our minds and our hearts, we free ourselves from habitual patterns of thought and emotional blockages. As we remember our true nature, we free ourselves from identification with the temporary state of our physical forms. The more we stretch our wings, the clearer it becomes that taking flight is a state of grace that simply reminds us of who we really are.

Heartwings Love Notes 880: Remembering to be Thankful

Heartwings says, “Be thankful for what is now; you do not know what will happen next.”

Recently we were saddened to hear of a friend who died suddenly and unexpectedly just as she was starting a new life with her spouse. Within the past few weeks we have heard news of other friends who are ill or whose lives have been disturbed or changed for the worse. Each time I hear such things, while I say a prayer for those affected, I am also reminded to be grateful for my relatively tranquil, happy life. In this present moment I have so much to be thankful for. When I survey my daily life, even with all its ups and downs, I am reminded to express that gratitude.

My late newspaper editor used to say, “Health is wealth.” How right he was. What are a few aches and pains compared to long term illness or worse, a terminal prediction? What’s a broken washer compared to the loss of a parent or a dear friend? It is so easy to take one’s blessings for granted, to think of them as ordinary or just a part of life. There is an old saying, “I complained because I had no shoes until I saw a man who had no feet.” While I am thankful for what I have, I am also grateful for what I do not have to endure.

There is such joy to be had in a tasty breakfast of a Sunday morning shared with one’s partner. Were this scene to end suddenly and abruptly I would deeply regret having lost even a moment of our time together through inattention . There is no way to know ahead when one’s end will come, when all of a sudden there will be no more time. I have read of a Native American tradition to greet each day with the phrase, “This is a good day to die.” Some might think this is a morbid attitude. To me it says, “Pay attention, live fully in this and every moment.”

Quite simply, though we don’t like to think about it, we begin to die the moment we are born. With the increase in medical knowledge the life span of human beings has been greatly extended, still one day life will end for us all. One of the benefits of mindfulness meditation is that when it is practiced, it becomes easier to pay attention. I am grateful for this practice and to the teacher that taught it to me. It behooves us all to remember that every moment we have whether uncomfortable or comfortable, sad or happy, sour or sweet is a precious gift to treasure and to be thankful for.

May you feel your gratitude and express it as often as possible.

Blessings and best Regards, Tasha Halpert

P. S. Thanks for any comments you may have on this or any of my writings. I am always so happy for any feedback my dear readers provide. You make my day!

Arthritis Awareness Month & Crystal Therapy

Crystal treatments for arthritis can be a wonderful adjunct therapy. Arthritis,
which means “joint inflammation” is a general term for over 100 different joint
disorders with symptoms ranging from mild aches and pains to severe swelling and
crippling pain. In many cases, good nutrition can play a big part in controlling
arthritis. Your joints, remarkable and elaborate hinges, are cushioned by
cartilage. They’re held together with various other tissues, including muscles
and tendons.

Lubrication is in the form of called synovial fluid, which is released by the
synovial lining of the joints. If you have osteoarthritis, the kind that most
frequently coincides with aging, the cartilage around the joints starts to thin
down or disappear. Overuse may be the root of the problem.. Obesity may
contribute to the development of osteoarthritis in weight-bearing joints.

Rheumatoid arthritis is far less common, and equally, pain producing. Rheumatoid
arthritis is an inflammatory disease. With some people, the onset begins between
the ages of 30 and 40, but more often it starts when people are between the ages
of 40 and 60. For reasons that aren’t fully understood, your body’s immune
system attacks your own joints, which start to suffer consequences. For
osteoarthritis, there are many tactics that can help hold off pain and maintain
mobility. Some of these strategies might help people with rheumatoid arthritis
as well. It all hinges on staying active.

Crystals helpful for Arthritis:
Blue Lace Agate, Apatite, Azurite, Green Calcite, Carnelian, Chrysocolla,
Copper, Coral, Eilat, Hematite, Rhodonite.

Hydrotherapy and Gem Essence: Take a nice hot bath to soothe aching joints. Add a
few pieces of Blue Lace Agate to the bath water. Bathe with the crystals for
15-20 minutes. Add 8-10 drops of a gem essence of Carnelian and Quartz.
Massage Therapy not only treats those parts of you, which are a problem, but
also affects the whole of your metabolism through normalizing your circulatory,
muscular and nervous systems and their interdependent functioning. Massage is
usually done with soothing massage oils or relaxing body lotions in order for
the practitioner’s hands to “glide” over the body with smooth, relaxing strokes.
Use Eilat stone to massage with.

Technique: Massage for arthritis is essential. Use crystal elixir oils or gem
essence in massage oil. Work on stiff achy joints in the morning upon waking and
in the evening before bed.

Hot Stone Massage Therapy is recommended for this condition. It is an ancient
Ayurvedic therapy with riverbed stones, which draw out stress, tension and
impurities from the body.

Chakra balancing stimulates the seven main energy sources, which govern all the
major organs and psychologically alters and clears the body’s energy in order to
allow healing to take place.

This means that the polarities of the crystal will change when subjected to
pressure or heat (even body heat from the hands). This will radiate energy from
the crystal due to this reversal of polarities. It provides the transfer,
storage, and transformation of energy. It offers a balanced energy field, an
energy modification, which amplifies both energy and thought clarity in
thinking, and harmony and alignment with the Chakra energy areas.

The Sacral/Spleen Chakra rules over the water element. Any disease that refers
to poor balance, especially of fluids or flexibility, is looked at as the
Sacral/Spleen imbalance. Laying of stones on this Chakra can help all disorders
such as menstrual issues, constipation, sciatica, infertility, impotence, and
arthritis. The Spleen/Sacral Chakra and orange stones give energy to the pelvic
dish. It helps with the balance of fluids, including joint fluids.

Aura cleansing works with our outer energy layers. These layers are first
affected before we may even know or physically feel symptoms. Lay crystals at
the areas that influence the aura. Do a scan with a clear quartz point to sense
any cold areas, change in temperatures or uneasy energy.

Grids: Hematite, Rhodonite, and Copper are all excellent for improving
circulation. Poor circulation, means poor nourishment of blood, lymph, and
synovial fluids to the joints. Use the Tree of Life Grid, Seal of Solomon,
Energy Grid or Infinite Circuit to improve circulation.

Jewelry: Copper bracelets have been worn for centuries to help improve
circulation. Jewelry made with Eilat stone is great for pain syndromes.

Gem Essence: Create a gem essence with carnelian and quartz to decrease
inflammation. Take 8 drops under the tongue 3-4 times a day. Boost the immunity formula: use citrine and carnelian.

Take Action
By Madisyn Taylor

In order to make our dreams come true, we must take action rather than simply wishing for what we want.

There is a popular misconception that we might be able to just wish our dreams into being. Maybe on some other level of consciousness this is the case, but here on earth what we need to do is take action in our lives. Vision is an important companion to our efforts, but it can’t accomplish anything all by itself. When we focus on what we want and ask for what we want, we are initiating a conversation with the universe. Our desires, passionately defined and expressed, bring about valuable and relevant opportunities, which we then respond to by either taking or leaving them.

Many of us are afraid to step out into the world and make things happen, and so we hang back, dreaming and waiting and watching. There are times in life when this is the right thing to do, but this phase of inaction must eventually give way to its opposite if we are to build our dreams into a reality. This can be really scary, and we may fail and struggle, but that’s okay because that’s what we’re supposed to do. Waiting for everything to be perfect before we act, or waiting for what we want to be handed to us, leaves us waiting forever. No one expects us to be perfect, so the best thing we can do for ourselves is to get out there and take action on our dreams.

One of the hardest parts about having a vision is that when we test it in the laboratory of life, it often comes out looking completely different than what we had in mind or, worse, it doesn’t come out at all. If you read the life stories of people who have brought their dreams into reality, you will hear many stories about this experience. But you will also hear about hard work, taking action, perseverance, and, finally, the successful birthing of a dream.

Magic Eye Stones

This stone has been referred to as Agate Eye Stones of India, Agate Eyes, Third Eye Stone, Shiva Eye, Shiva Agate and are natural stones with concentric banding of different colors in a circular pattern.

These rare, natural occurrences in the crystal world are the “watchers” of the Mineral Kingdom! Each one is a unique formation that happens in all types of gemstones. Their properties are as special.

You will often see this amazing “banding” in stones such as agate, amethyst, carnelian, sardonyx, as well as any other stones, which have a layering effect. These unique bands will sometimes form an “eye” with an apparent iris colored outer ring and central pupil in the middle.

Sometimes, you will find these as “bi-layer stones”, where two stones have been melded together. They are a reminder that we are love and compassion in action. The stone with a white base or marbelized agate is often called “Goat’s Eye’ or goat agate.

These crystals are a symbol representing the capacity of human consciousness to see beyond the obvious or perceive beyond the outwardly visible and tangible; to reach that inner source of life which is the font of divine energy and power. This symbolism says that all human beings who use their discriminative powers, can, in the silence of their inner selves, seek the sanctuary of truth and purity. Magic eye stones have been used in many cultures.

An Indian symbol that is represented as the third eye, this stone is often used in Chakra Balancing at the Third Eye position and in Aura Cleansing at the Celestial layer. Throughout history, the all-seeing eye is used for protection. They can be worn or hang in any space for protection. Stones in the shape of eyes are said to repel negativity by reflecting it back to the source.

Also called Shiva Stones, they wash up on riverbanks or are carved into the shape of an eye! These valued crystals have long been believed to enhance psychic abilities, bring us in tune with our intuition, empower our extrasensory perception, and boost our imagination and concentration!

Weekly horoscopes beginning Sunday, 26 May 2019

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

For ages you`ve known you`d have to deal with complex situations involving elements of your domestic or working life, or both. Then, on 16 May, your ruling planet Mars moved to accent these matters, kick-starting a cycle of discussion and decision-making. While there`s been considerable progress, with the actual circumstances changing, probably more than once, you`ve urged to regard even seemingly solid plans as tentative.

You will be asked to work closely with someone you recently argued with. You have no choice about this. It could be surprising how quickly you are able to put past disappointments and disagreements behind you as you are both intent on achieving a joint goal. Someone younger than yourself will be glad to have you take over a situation they haven`t the experience or expertise to deal with. Joint affairs and family matters will make significant progress.

It might be as well to anticipate considerably more talk than action – at least through to the last day of May. We`re now in that period between the Last Quarter Moon and the New Moon on June 3. This is a useful time for clearing things up. Focus would arguably be better spent on this, rather than pushing forward. If you need to do any kind of brain dump or even sit an exam, trends this week are good – though it`s perhaps worth pointing out that you will need to be particularly aware of time and that you don`t over-run on a deadline. It`s toward the end of this week too – in fact from Wednesday, – that the Moon moves into your sign. You should then find that others are keen to hear what you have to say and, in particular where financial matters are concerned, find ways in which costs could be curbed. What may be unavoidable however, are increased travel costs.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

As an earth sign, you`ve an instinctive understanding of the importance of patience. The current disarray is promoting you to take some form of action now instead of awaiting joint decisions. Tempted to force issues? Don`t. Instead, Wait. With your ruler Venus forming powerful and positive links to practical Saturn and Pluto, as May ends, you`ll find that many of those problems resolve themselves.

This is not a good time for buying or selling. If you`re tempted to splash out, ask yourself whether you can do without the item you`re about to buy. You should be conserving your resources. You haven`t the time or patience to look for the best deals. If you have an exciting career opportunity, show your interest. It doesn`t matter if some jobs are swept under the carpet when something better crops up. Know your priorities.

You likely won`t be the only sign determined to clear things up this week. The period between this particular Last Quarter Moon and the New Moon on June 3, in your case, should be excellent for tidying up subscriptions and annual payments. It may be that some of these are now redundant and that you could give notice to leave. Certainly, a review of these outgoings would surely be wise.. It`s probable soon after the New Moon that you will wish to put a fresh foot forward. Note too, that with Venus moving through your sign, others will be keen to give support. Let them – as it`s perhaps not necessary for you to be making all the moves. In short, this week you need to think about the investments of both your time, energy, and cash and make adjustments as necessary. One last point: take care if window-shopping over Thursday-Friday when you could easily be seduced into purchasing an item you don`t really need.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

There`s been lots going on in the world around you, in others` lives and in your own. Some plans are settled but you`re still wrestling with uncertain situations and questions about your priorities. For now, focus on what works and necessary changes. That way, when the breakthroughs triggered by the Gemini New Moon, on 3 June, arise, you`ll be well informed and ready to respond swiftly.

Be disciplined about a nutrition plan or health and fitness regime. Problems with teeth or bones could be affecting your health and everyday routine. If a new exercise regime is recommended you should do your best to fit this into your daily schedule. You`ve been wondering about how you were going to manage to pay all the bills that are due. Somehow you will manage this with less difficulty than you imagined.

Prior to next week`s New Moon in your sign, there is arguably much clearing up to be done. In your case, that clearing up could take the form of intense negotiation. It may be that a valuation needs to be carried out. It would be wise not to interfere with this or talk too much as this process is going on. In fact, you might do rather better to stand back entirely. The fact is that by Friday, the last day of May, a fabulous aspect Mercury (your ruling planet) across to Jupiter in your opposite sign, a deal could be reached. Amidst all this, taxation matters might also require attention. Note too, as has been mentioned in previous weeks, that it`s vital you look after your nervous system through this period. If you`ve ever been accused be highly strung in the past, you could be so again.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Recently you`ve been considering what you`re happy with, what feels unbalanced, and even more, where changes are necessary. You`re benefitting from the influence of the forthright Mars, which is in Cancer until 1 July. This gives you plenty of time to seriously consider changes and explore your options; and aim high. There`s no better time to pursue what, and who, you want in your life.

A new job or assignment will put you in contact with someone you`ve always held in high esteem. You`re nervous about working with this person but once you`ve met up a few times you`ll find they`re no different from anyone else. You will make a wonderful impression on everyone you meet. So, don`t doubt yourself. What`s important is that you have faith in your abilities. Don`t let personal feelings stand in the way of your aims and ambitions.

If you need to set your stall out in any way i.e. advertise or make a presentation, or even sit an exam or test, this should be an excellent week for doing so.. True, time management might be an issue. There is too, just the possibility of mislaying or forgetting something important. The good news is that you could retrieve this: albeit at the last minute. In fact, before the end of May and in a flurry of activity, you could make clear that you know exactly where you`re at and what your plans are for the next few weeks. This is important in that the coming solar Eclipse on July 2 is in your sign. This likely marks the start of yet another adventure. Ensuring that you are well-placed and that essential materials have been archived appropriately and redundant items dispersed would make excellent use of this week`s aspects.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Don`t be surprised if events or even your own restless mood leads to questions about elements of your life you`ve regarded as settled. For now, both consider what, and who, isn`t working or arrangements that could go; but action should wait. The insights you gain now will contribute to changes you`ll make when dynamic Mars moves into Leo, in six weeks` time, beginning a thrilling new cycle.

Ideas are successfully implemented. With you feeling so focused and determined, it shouldn`t take long before you start making progress. Be sure to give yourself a reward for your hard work and perseverance. Teamwork will bring some incredible results. Working alongside talented people will raise the level of your own performance. For a wee while your future prospects could hardly be more attractive. You have plenty to look back on and be proud of.

Between this weekend`s Last Quarter Moon and the New Moon on Monday, June 3, should prove useful if there is tidying up to be done. This in fact should be the key phrase for all signs. In your case, focus is likely to be on valuation and, interestingly, access. An image might be curating books that you know will be used but which are precious. You need to make sure that they are available but that those who don`t really appreciate their value won`t damage them. Of course, it might not be books that are important but information in your brain. Being careful about what you share is another feature of this period. Of course, if you`re sitting any kind of test, this could be the optimum time for brain dumping. Not only could you show how much you`ve mastered, you should also make clear what further research needs to be done.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

If facts or your own feelings are unclear, you`ll avoid lasting decisions. Once you`ve got the necessary information and, equally, your objectives are sound, you`ll commit to a plan, vision or, perhaps, relationship wholeheartedly. However, with the foundation on which these are based shifting, you`re urged to regard whatever you do or arrange as a first step, one of many, towards the solid arrangements you`re seeking.

You have ideas that could improve a poorly laid plan. Propose alternative methods and this will be met with an enthusiastic response. Other members of your team take you very seriously and admire your intelligence and practicality. If you feel a younger relative is making a wrong decision, you may need to point this out to them. At first, they won`t want to hear but eventually they will be grateful for your concern.

This weekend`s Last Quarter Moon is in your opposite sign. On Monday, June 3rd there is a New Moon. All signs should experience the days in between as optimal for space clearance, archiving but also, in your case, for connecting with those who have interest in precious items. The storage could be a major feature. You might recall that both the Sun and Mercury are presently passing over the apex of your solar chart. This suggests considerable attention to your career, motivation, aims and objectives. Indeed, by the New Moon you may have prepared a press release stating your intentions. This week is all about incubating ideas. You may also find – and especially toward the weekend, – that you have considerable support either from a teacher, mentor or even an older family member who is aware of changes you intend to make in just a few weeks` time and is prepared to assist in steering you around any obstacles.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

For ages you`ve been concerned about tricky matters, but it was never time to address these. By the week`s close, however, both the mood and circumstances encourage you to speak up. Begin by reviewing what`s not working and could go, versus arrangements that show hope. Also, focus on the appealing new ideas coming your way. Final decisions? Ideally, they`ll wait until the dust settles, in early June.

You need change and stimulation. Performing the same routine day after day is making you bored and restless. Don`t be surprised if you feel an overwhelming desire for fun and variety. Look for interests and activities that will help alleviate the monotony of everyday routines. Home and family matters will be settled during the latter half of the week. Your efforts to move forward in this area have been thwarted. An older relative will know how to resolve the situation successfully.

You may remember that both the Sun and Mercury are together passing through another of the Air signs and indeed, an area of your solar chart that is associated both with higher learning and with overseas contacts. Whether or not you are embarked on a course of study, or even writing one, it may be important to you to get facts and information across. Focusing on this and, perhaps doing refined editing between this weekend`s Last Quarter Moon and the New Moon on Monday, June 3, would make good use of cosmic energy. You may also find that you are asked to consider stepping out of your usual comfort zone. One possibility is being asked to visit a place about which you know little. Quite separately, you might also need to learn more about a health issue and how someone can cope with a revised routine. Though this need not hamper you both, this may be an unavoidable regime which, once assimilated, proves beneficial all round..

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Several elements of your life are changing.. Some are welcome, others aren`t but, even more, most decisions aren`t in your hands. While ordinarily this would upset you, this period is about exploration. Once that`s clear, you`ll happily delve into all sorts of ideas or future plans, mostly because you`re bound to learn something. This, too, ensures that when those changes arise, you`ll be well informed.

You`re tempted to accept an attractive offer without thinking about it. Some people can win others over with persuasive language. Con artists have a way of getting whatever they can from you, so don`t allow yourself to be led astray by the appealing picture they`re putting into your mind. Change is in the air and for now, a flexible approach will bring you success. Don`t be anxious about what`s going on as the outcome will be pleasing.

You won`t be the only sign involved in a marathon tidying up operation. That`s the big theme between Sunday`s Last Quarter Moon and the New Moon on June 3. If you are preparing to do some kind of brain dump i.e. take a test or exam, these conditions should be regarded as near-perfect. True, there is real danger of over-spending towards the end of the week in the hope that you could improve presentation (or through celebration!). You should perhaps also take care that those born under the Air signs of Gemini, Libra or Aquarius aren`t feeding you with too many ideas. Following and backing your own hunches would likely be your best policy. Bear in mind that Mars, the planet of energy, is presently passing through another of the Water signs. In tuning into your inner voice, you could make real headway. Nowhere should this be more obvious than with regard to anything either educational or in communication with those who live and work some distance away. With regard to the latter, it seems an alliance will be improve bringing with it unusual opportunities.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Recent events both shook you up and forced you to acknowledge your deep feelings about certain plans or, possibly, people. These insights have prompted you to reflect on what and who you`re putting first and whether certain changes would be timely. Begin now, discussing your options where you can; but most of all, take a chance. You`ll only regret what you didn`t do, not what you did.

It`s easy to grow complacent when you`re in familiar surroundings and working with old friends. A nonchalant attitude could lead to careless mistakes. You can avoid this by being more observant and through behaving in a more respectful manner towards your teammates. No matter how excited you might be about an upcoming job opening, keep both feet firmly on the ground. There are some opportunities that come your way which will need to be confirmed.

It`s highly likely that those around you are going through high-speed development. You can perhaps see that before they move forward it`s essential that they clear up some of the past. Though perhaps not so good at taking your own advice, it might be as well to allocate sometime to archiving treasures of your own. This is a big theme across all signs between the Last Quarter Moon on Sunday and the New Moon in your opposite sign on June 3. Travel, and talk about distance travel, are likely to feature greatly before the weekend. True, this could be travel of the mind and you might decide it`s time to undertake a course. Whatever, there is likely to be considerable determination to move off in new directions. Before doing so, it may be important to pass on certain pieces of information – or items – to others whom you feel could now look after them better.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Unwise as basing important decisions on feelings alone seems, the situations you`re dealing with can`t be easily analysed. Obviously, as a Capricorn, you`d prefer to rely on facts. However, you`re also aware it`s vital you focus on what, and who, bring you joy, in any form. If some decisions seem overwhelming, begin with those that are less complex. After that, the rest will be far easier.

Parties, get togethers and lots of activity with friends will mean less time for your family. Don`t feel guilty about being more sociable for who can resist the great invitations coming your way? You`re more sensitive to the needs and feelings of those around you and you are concerned about vulnerable people in your community. Joining a local club or society or getting involved with a volunteer organisation are good avenues to explore.

With both Saturn and Pluto moving through your sign, it`s probable that you are indeed carrying more responsibility. The buck it seems stops with you. Anticipate that your workload will increase yet again after the New Moon on June 3rd. It may be important to either delegate, or to archive items that are, for the time being, redundant. Yes, you may feel underqualified in some areas and wish that you could have more time to study- especially anything regarded as technical. What might bother you, is that others are being to your mind, cavalier as they do their own version of clearing up and archiving. You may be well aware that certain items will be needed but perhaps not immediately. It might also be vital to you to know that data has been catalogued. Aside from this, and with Mars continuing its journey through your opposite sign, family matters will no doubt require attention. Here again, it may be important to deal with family history. The good news here, is that it seems others who are in the same frame of mind will likely offer assistance.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

The world around you is changing but, when you compare what`s going on in others` lives and your own, yours seems more unsettling, if not dramatic. Actually, judging by the events triggered by the move by your ruler Uranus into a new position, in early March, that`s exactly what should be happening. Knowing that, explore and, where possible, embrace the new. You won`t regret it.

Not everything will go your way but it`s not long to June which will be a far brighter month for you so don`t get too disheartened. Beware of giving too much of yourself away to others as some friends will be very demanding and this can be draining. A new job opportunity could be just what you are looking for. An invitation to attend an interview will be a sign that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

You may remember that the both the Sun and Mercury are presently passing through another of the Air signs. As they move through Gemini, no doubt you`re being fed with many very interesting and creative ideas. In short, your research and development Department may be in overdrive. There is however a real danger, that you will grasp what you feel to be a fact and hold onto it when it was only a possibility. You might then need to be disabused of the notion before the end of June. Best advice for the moment, is to aim to be as flexible as possible. Before the New Moon on June 3, most people will be involved in clearing up exercises. Archiving, cataloguing and data management will no doubt be a preoccupation for all. Given the high probability that a major audit will be necessary in the coming weeks, your ability to focus and ensure that documentation is accurate should come in useful.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Little is more upsetting than watching a crucial plan, or one you struggled to make, come undone. However, there`ll be a series of such changes, and in several areas of your life. By no means have you got things wrong but, rather, you`re in a period of change. However, mostly, they`ll come in stages. While unsettling, each will be an improvement on what went before it.

A job you would normally find easy to get over and done with will for some reason, be more difficult than you had anticipated. This could be because you have your own methods and someone else is trying to interfere. It may be necessary to insist on being left to get on with this work on your own. If you`re selling a few unwanted items, you might let these go for far less than they are worth, simply to get them off your hands.

Sunday`s Last Quarter Moon is in your sign and is followed on June 3rd by a New Moon accenting the very base of your solar chart. True, this pattern occurs annually. This year though is different: you may remember that in the middle of your birthday month Uranus moved into Taurus. This is a different frequency altogether. Of the many possibilities, changes in your neighbourhood might require that you adjust your usual routine to accommodate new transport arrangements. For others though, this really could mark the end of a long chapter. Clearing this up and preparing to move on will likely prove exhausting. It will surely help, if those born under the Fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius lend a hand. Indeed, their presence and advice should prove invaluable as you cope with possibly unwanted development. On the very positive side however, be prepared for your career to move in fresh direction soon after the New Moon on June 3rd.

May the love of the Goddess be ever in your heart.

Merry Meet and Merry Part
And Merry Meet Again!”
