This is a simple prosperity charm to attract and maintain wealth.
You will need two coins, a green candle and holder, and some powdered cinnamon.
Arrange the items on your altar. Light the green candle and imagine yourself paying off debts, saving up for a vacation, or buying that special thing you really want. Feel the happiness and freedom you would experience if you had the money you need. Carefully drip green candle wax onto the coins, and while it is still melted, place a dash of cinnamon powder on top. Drip more wax on top of the cinnamon, then press the coins together like a sandwich, trapping the cinnamon-and your prosperity-attracting energy-inside.
Let the candle burn itself out safely. Keep this charm in your wallet or change purse to keep the cash flowing.

Communicate with a Sylph
Spell Date: Wednesday, April 10, 2019
This spell will assist you in contacting a sylph: an air elemental. Typically, these beings provide clarity of mind, new perspectives, and a general feeling of mental renewal. Invoke them when you feel stuck or are in need of inspiration.
For this spell you will need some resin incense (I prefer black copal), a charcoal-safe incense burner, and some charcoal. Light the charcoal. Ground and center. Face the east, or the direction your tradition associates with the air element. Enter a trance and sprinkle some of the resin on the coal, watching the smoke rise into the air. Call to the sylphs-the conscious beings of the air-to appear in the smoke before you:
“Creatures of the very air,
Reveal here to me your form.”
Look into the smoke with the Witch’s eye: your inner sight. Allow the sylphs to reveal themselves to you. Once they have, you may commune with them as you wish.

A Morning Meditation

April mornings are alive with signs that the earth is awakening from its winter rest. The birds are singing and buds are opening, and silvery dew drops spangle each blade of grass. Many occultists believe that morning dew has magical qualities that trigger psychic and meditative abilities.
On an April morning when you won’t be disturbed, go outside. Breathe deeply. Then moisten a finger with dew. Anoint the middle of your forehead with the dew. This will awaken the powers of your third eye. Sit still. Let any images come to you. You may have visions of future events. You might get a “feeling.” Or you may slip into a meditative state. Slowly return to your everyday frame of mind. Record your visions/feelings and see what happens. Do this meditation as often as you wish.

Cerealia Celebration Altar
Spell Date: Friday, April 12, 2019
Cerealia was an ancient Roman festival celebrated at this time of year in honor of the goddess Ceres. She is a goddess of many things, including agriculture, grains, and the harvest. Her domain is fertility, motherhood, and women. Crops are sacred to Ceres. She is a goddess who speaks to the everyday person.
Cerealia was an eight-day festival thought to have begun on or around April 12th. The following altar is inspired by this observance. It promises to enrich your fertility in whatever area you need it.
Ritual and Ceremony
Wearing a white robe or dress, begin setting up your altar at sunrise.
Gather some wheat sheaves and tie them with a simple hemp string.
Create a cornucopia ( horn of plenty) out of some fresh, local crops.
Set your wheat sheaves and cornucopia on a green cloth on your altar.
Set out and then light a circle of white candles in holders.

Reflect on your Cerealia altar at sundown. Bring it your wish for fertility, health, and good living. Be sure to extinguish the candles.

A Spell to Destroy Negative Thought Patterns
Spell Date: Saturday, April 13, 2019
Sometimes that voice in the back of your head isn’t a good thing. Negative thinking can defeat us before we even go to battle, and there is no time like the present to destroy the cycle of negative thoughts!
For this spell you will need to keep a journal with you and log each time you catch yourself spiraling into a negative thought. At the end of the day, light a black candle and place it between you and a mirror, then read each negative thought aloud. After reading each negative thought you must respond with the reason that thought is untrue or unrealistic and then banish it by saying:
“I send this thought into the flame.
No more of my life force it can claim!”
Repeat this once daily for a week and then again as necessary. Let the candle burn down completely and safely each time.

Heartwings Love Notes 875 Getting them eggzactly right
Heartwings says, “Eggs are easy to cook yet often difficult to cook well.”
Easter brings thoughts of eggs, coloring them, cooking them, eating them. As a child I disliked eggs intensely. They were always served in an egg cup with the top removed. I didn’t care for the taste much. Still, whether I wanted to or not I had to eat them because I couldn’t leave the table until I did. For some reason the egg spoons were silver which quickly tarnished from the yolks of eggs, and this somehow made the experience even worse. It was many years before I was able to eat eggs with pleasure.
To prepare dishes with eggs requires careful timing. For garlic fried eggs with parsley—our breakfast favorite, slice garlic into butter, break eggs over it, cut parsley over them, wait until they are just set, then turn off the stove and turn the eggs over to finish cooking lightly. Making stuffed or deviled eggs is challenging because of having to peel the eggs without devastating the whites. I seldom try. Separating raw yolks from whites, is now simple since I learned the trick of holding the yolk in my hand as the white slips through my fingers.
I have fond memories of sharing a simple lunch of warm hard boiled eggs peeled and mashed with a little mayonnaise, some salt and maybe some chopped parsley with my best friend as our little ones played together. How tasty the eggs were with some saltine crackers and a cup of tea. In those days I dyed my eggs with pellets of color from the supermarket. Some years ago I tried dying them with onion skins. They turned lovely purple and red colors.
This is an ancient way to do them: Save up your papery onion skins. Tie them around your eggs with string and simmer the eggs for 20 minutes. Very beautiful and fun. To make a tasty egg salad, mash yolks and whites together, add mayonnaise to taste and some of your favorite mustard. Add ground dried garlic, chopped parsley and curry powder if desired. Serve with crackers, toast, bread or just lettuce and a fork. Eggs are nutritious and inexpensive. Good for any meal. Great for after Easter leftover eggs.

April Showers

As the rain comes down, we can visualize it cleansing our minds and hearts, washing away winter, preparing us to start anew.
We are not always glad to see rain make its appearance each spring, accompanied as it is by clouds and cancellations, muddy boots, and limited visibility. Yet, without it, summer’s lushness would be less deep and less vibrant, the earth more exposed and unprotected from the sun’s heat, and browns instead of greens would dominate the landscape. For anyone who has ever suffered through a drought, rain is always recognized for the blessing that it is, the forerunner of flowers and fruit.
Even though most of us admittedly prefer sunshine to rain, we can appreciate the rain as part of the intertwining cycle of opposites that makes our world go round–wet and dry, dark and light, cold and warm, each giving way to the other in equal measure. This dynamic of yin and yang governs all aspects of life, and rain and flowers are no exception. Their interdependence offers us another window into the inner workings of nature and life in general. In our personal lives, there is also a time for resting and a time for growth, a time to allow and receive, and a time to blossom forth with abandon in full color. As the rain comes down, we might surrender to its wisdom, visualizing it cleansing our minds and hearts, washing away the detritus of winter, preparing us to come clean into the second half of spring, ready to start anew.

Mint for the Vanilla Mint Lip Balm
Mints make their first appearance in early Spring. And I love mint! In fact, one of my favorites is Mountain Mint. To explain, this mint is native to the Appalachian Mountains where I live. Further, it is tall and has a pronounced vanilla mint flavor that works great in this vanilla mint lip balm.
Choose whichever mint you enjoy and/or have on hand. And if you don’t have vanilla flavored mint just add 1 vanilla bean or a teaspoon of vanilla paste to the recipe to give your mint lip balm the vanilla flavor.
First Make A Vanilla Mint Oil
2-3 Tablespoons dried mint leaves
1 vanilla bean scraped out (or a 1 tsp of vanilla paste)
1/4 cup grapeseed oil
1 small jar
Place the mint in the jar along with the vanilla bean if desired. Add the oil. Cap well and shake. Leave this in the sun for a week or so, then strain and use in the vanilla mint lip balm recipe below.

Vanilla Mint Lip Balm Recipe
My lips are always begging for moisture. So I developed this simple vanilla mint lip balm recipe that tastes great and moisturizes every season of the year!

20 .15 ounce lip balm tubes
Ingredients
2 Tablespoons Vanilla Mint oil (from above)
1 double boiler
2 Tablespoons beeswax (or carnauba wax)
2 Tablespoons shea butter (or roasted cocoa butter for a chocolate mint flavor)
20 lip balm tubes
Instructions
Melt all of these vanilla mint lip balm ingredients in the double boiler (or a bowl placed over some hot water).
Check the consistency by letting some harden on the spoon. If it’s too soft, add a bit more wax. If it’s too hard, add more butter or oil.
When you have it where you like it, pour into lip balm tubes or pots.
Notes
Wax can vary a lot in hardness, so this may take a little playing around. The great thing is that you can melt it many times and it won’t affect the mix. If you don’t want to make the infused oil, use plain grapeseed oil and add a few drops of Peppermint essential oil and vanilla absolute.
You can store the leftover vanilla mint oil in the freezer for later or just make a larger batch of vanilla mint lip balm to use it all. Or add some to some raw sugar to make a complementing DIY lip scrub!

At its most basic, money is a tool that enables us to meet our individual needs. As a form of potential energy that empowers us to generate change, it is neither good nor bad. Yet many people react emotionally to issues concerning finances, unconsciously condemning currency itself, the manner in which money is spent, and people who live lives of financial abundance. Individuals who are rich in gifts such as high intelligence are acknowledged for their positive traits while those who have acquired material riches or aspire to become wealthy are frequently judged harshly. However, wealth is not a trait upon which judgment can be legitimately passed. It tells us nothing about how a person lives, what they believe in, whom they care for, or the scope of their values. Like any blessing, wealth is merely an instrument of purpose that can be used both constructively and destructively.
From an early age, people learn to court wealth while simultaneously associating money with greed, selfishness, and unethical behavior. Consequently, this idea becomes entrenched in their hearts as envy. To attain a balanced and rational comprehension of money, as well as a fairer perspective of wealth, we need to recognize that outward manifestations of wealth tell us little about the individuals enjoying those blessings. When we feel the finger of jealousy prompting us to draw unflattering conclusions about people whose lives seem more financially secure than our own, we should remind ourselves that there are many elements of their circumstances we cannot see. Stephen Halpert – Fool’s Paradise
Todd Stanza took his seat in the classroom for the graduate seminar on artificial intelligence. Settling himself, he surveyed the room. Across from him at one of the oval tables feverishly typing on her laptop was an incredibly attractive young Indian woman.
Her long black hair shimmered. Her emerald eyes sparkled. He couldn’t pull his eyes away from her. Though he had no intention of engaging in a relationship until his doctoral work was completed nonetheless he felt instantly drawn to her.
The professor came in, and to the sound of polite clapping took up his station by the screen. It lit up and a series of diagrams and complex formulas appeared.
“What must be understood,” he began “is that without recent advances in miniaturized batteries, the work of Musk, Kurzweil, and other pioneers… artificial intelligence would be severely limited.”
Todd bristled. There he goes again trying to sell his pet concept of AI as something more than decorative robotics, he thought.
The professor cleared his throat. “And if I may say,” he smiled, “these advances lead us to restate the rhetorical question: how many miniature batteries fit on the head of a pin?”
Several chuckled politely.
“Of course the weak link is not programmable data but the ultimate longevity of batteries. A perfect battery enables the perfect life-like android to participate in our campus community.”
He looked toward Todd. “Would you agree Mr. Stanza?”
Todd was only half listening. His gaze had returned to the young woman studiously taking notes. Todd gulped. He knew not to get pushy about his belief that robots were robots and people were people. He cleared his throat, swallowed and said, “Within limits.”
The professor smiled. “Your skepticism is refreshing.”
Todd’s mind was still on his new crush. He hadn’t seen her at the usual campus haunts. He’d heard there were many new graduate students from India and Pakistan enrolled in the AI graduate program.
When the seminar concluded the young woman looked over at Todd and smiled. He stood, gathered his notes and approached her.
The professor walked over and introduced them. “Jasmine Kalsa, Todd Stanza.”
She nodded and smiled again. Todd invited her to lunch. She accepted. They found a table in the graduate lounge. She smelled of peach blossoms. Over lunch Todd was not only impressed by her beauty but also by her comments concerning the seminar. She mentioned that she had recently graduated from MIT.
“But you understand what I mean about androids? Regardless how sophisticated their programming they’re still robots. They don’t have feelings. Basically they’re nothing more than machines.”
She touched his hand gently. “Please understand that with every advance androids gain more humanity.”
“No doubt,” he stammered. He took a breath: “May I see you again?”
“Of course,” she smiled. “I find your attention refreshing, genuinely touching.” She sipped her soup.
“You do?”
“Of course. One needn’t be human to appreciate your kind feelings.” She looked deeply into his eyes.
“Oh let’s not get started on that robot android quagmire,” he chuckled. “I don’t care how intelligent a device may be there are still limits. They have no limbic system.”
She touched his hand. “But doesn’t human psychology bring to the personality similar limits and discrepancies?” Then she lowered her voice. “Besides, another fifty, sixty years from now this conversation will be passé. Few humans will ever be able to tell the difference.” She finished her soup.
His head was spinning. He needed to change the subject. Abruptly he said. “Let’s have dinner and go dancing this Saturday night.” What he didn’t say was despite her cockeyed theories he wanted to hold her, kiss her, lose himself totally in her.
She smiled and agreed. Then her tone of voice changed and turned serious when she asked. “Have you read any of the recent papers on robotic equality?”
He chuckled. “You mean those liberal essays championing a robotic Bill of Rights for,” he searched for the exact word, “machines?”
She stirred her tea and smiled. “It has been suggested that later in this century greater human/android interaction will be commonplace. By that time equality must be considered.”
He couldn’t understand where she was going with this. “What far? We’re only talking about machines. Sophisticated, remarkably crafted scientific products, but none the less a machine can’t think beyond its input. If it’s not part of the programming…”
“And the human brain can?” Her eyes twinkled as she smiled. “I suppose close intimacy between a human and an android is not to your liking?”
He blushed and started to stammer. “You mean cohabitation? The way humans do? Isn’t that a little farfetched? In his mind he saw unattractive rubber dolls sold at sex shops and winced.
She looked so fetching, so desirable. “Does it have to be?” she asked.
Oh he wanted to kiss her but he knew once they did he’d never want it to stop. He tried better explaining himself. “Please don’t get me wrong. I’m all for cloning. I’m all for robotics, especially in medical research. None of that’s bothersome to me. But the replication of humans?”
She touched his hand sending chills throughout his body. “Human/android cohabitation? Is that too farfetched for you to consider?”
“Not if it were us.” He stammered hopeful he hadn’t spoken out of turn. She smiled and seemed appreciative of his compliment.
“Then we’ll still go dancing and have dinner this Saturday?” His words tumbled out. He feared he was babbling. He jotted down her address and they set a time.
Saturday night Jasmine dressed carefully and then tied her hair back in a ponytail. She stood by her mirror and carefully lifted her earlobe. Behind it was a barely visible slot. She widened it and in the opening carefully inserted a tiny new battery. She undid her ponytail. Her hair cascaded over her shoulders. She dabbed a little perfume behind her ears. Then she smiled into the mirror, took her jacket and went downstairs to wait for Todd.

As a result, you start to rethink plans, short term and more far reaching, all of which you regard as sacred. Once, perhaps, that was wise; but times have changed and so, too, must your attitude about these.
You have nothing to lose from taking over a failing project. If you stop for a moment or two and take another look at the situation, you might see where things are going wrong. Other people have been fumbling over a matter you are quickly able to sort out. Be positive and stay hopeful for this is a time when positive thinking and decisive action pay off. Whatever your plans, put your best foot forward. Whatever challenge you take on; you will be amazed by your progress.
There is little doubt that with Mars journeying through the working area of your solar chart, that your plate will be full. This situation is unlikely to abate until the middle of next month. Around Friday`s Full Moon you could also either experience panic or witness chaos in those around you. Holding steady will likely not be easy. Do bear in mind that Uranus, the planet that only changes signs roughly every seven years, has only recently arrived in another of the Earth signs. Everyone is getting used to a new vibration. One of the great gifts of Capricorn, is the ability to appear cool, calm and collected. Manifesting that exterior on the interior may be challenging of course! Note though, that it should soon be clear that you`re very much needed that your efforts are hugely appreciated.

Yet a few insist you get involved, and won`t acknowledge your lack of interest. Take a tough line. This isn`t easy but is essential. What you learn in the process will be helpful now, and of huge value for the rest of your life.
Are you looking for a job? You could prosper through your social connections. A well-connected friend will arrange an interview for you. You have flair and versatility and can sound knowledgeable about many things even if you don`t feel very confident. An intelligent observation will bring you huge rewards. If it seems as if you haven`t had much luck lately, you`re being reminded that there`s usually a silver lining to every cloud.
Anticipate a week of fast-moving twists and turns; and yes, this could prove expensive. It would be helpful if by Friday`s Full Moon, if you had at least a sketchy idea of exactly where things stand. Fact is that early next week the Sun and Uranus begin a cycle with which you will be unfamiliar. This one is sure to rock foundations. Having a clear idea of your present position ahead of those developments would surely be helpful. There is the very real possibility of you feeling `torn in two`. Essentially resistant to change, and anxious to hold on to what has been important, you might not be willing to hear plans and solutions offered by others. This though, could be the very moment to listen to these carefully. At least one appears to have excellent mileage but yes, could include travel.

Some unusual events will keep you alert and on your toes. If any kind of daily routine has been on the dull side, be prepared for this to change now. Planning a trip with a fun-loving friend will make your eyes sparkle with excitement. An older colleague will offer you some advice. Although you respect this and will listen to, and appreciate what they say, you will be making a choice based on your own experience and feelings.
Jupiter, one of your ruling planets, has now stationed at the very apex of your solar chart. View this as one of those moments where you `see over the parapet`. Fresh opportunities – at least until Wednesday – should give you much to think about. True, in order to realise any of these, practical matters need to be addressed. It`s probable that domestic arrangements will be affected by developments in the environment around you. In short, you are likely to be pulled this way and that. Expenses might even be high from Wednesday and through to the weekend. Yet it`s also possible around Friday`s Full Moon, that you will be asked to take custody of an item that once held fond memories for someone. The fact that this is something that you can now put to good practical use is almost beside the point. It appears that you`ve attracted precisely what you need and at the precise moment it is needed.
