Light A Candle Today!
In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

Llewellyn’s Spell A Day

Tarot Numerology
Spell Date: Sunday, April 7, 2019

Many of us draw a Tarot card each morning to predict how our day might go. We can combine the meanings of Tarot cards with numerology to get more information. If you don’t know much about the magic of numbers, go online to learn what numbers tell us.

Reduce numbers above 9 to one digit. For example, calculate card XIV ( Temperance) this way:

14 = 1 + 4 = 5 = change or freedom

(You can look up other meanings as well.) If you want to, you can also add up the letters of the word. Use this chart:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

Temperance = 2 + 5 + 4 + 7 + 5 + 9 + 1 + 5 + 3 + 5 = 46 = 4 + 6 = 10 = 1 = individuality, a new beginning.

If you draw a Minor, use the old, familiar A. E. Waite meaning and also consider the card’s number.

Spring-Clean Your Altar
Spell Date: Saturday, April 6, 2019

Many people do some form of spring cleaning as the days begin to grow longer. You might have done so around the time of the spring equinox. But did you clean and cleanse your altar? If you have an altar, it is the spiritual center of your home, so you want to make sure you keep it neat and clean and occasionally clear the energy that surrounds it.

Start by doing physical cleaning. Dust anything sitting on the altar, maybe rearranging or adding things if it no longer feels quite right. Then take some incense (citrus or rosemary is good ) or a sage smudge stick and waft the smoke around the altar to clear away any lingering negativity or stagnant energy from the winter. Sprinkle a bit of salt and water and say:

“This altar is cleared and cleansed
for another season of positive
magical work. So mote it be.”

Meditation for Renewal
Spell Date: Friday, April 5, 2019

On this new moon, make way for renewal in your life. Often we think we want change, but we’re not really prepared for it. Tonight, open yourself to whatever new beginning or restart you may need. Light a black votive candle ( or white as a substitute) and focus on something specific you need to renew. Do you have neglected projects or responsibilities? Something you’re putting off ? Or maybe you just feel worn down and need a boost of energy. Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down while keeping the candle in sight. Breathe deeply and study the candle flame. Chant:

“New moon, new start,
You know what’s in my heart.
You know just what I need.
Tonight I plant the seed.”

Let the candle burn out safely. You can also charge an item such as a piece of jewelry, a statue, a crystal, etc., to serve as a reminder of your attitude of renewal.

Jupiterian Prosperity Booster
Spell Date: Thursday, April 4, 2019

Thursday is the day of the week that is associated with the planet and the god Jupiter. Jupiter rules over prosperity and abundance. True abundance in life isn’t measured in dollars, but in love, friendship, and having enough to eat and a happy home. Today, let’s do a little magickal booster to manifest those things.

Gather images of the Ten of Pentacles and the Ten of Cups from the tarot. These cards together depict happy homes and families and security of resources. On top of the images place a bowl containing any combination of the herbs and spices nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and mint. Place a chalice of your favorite drink or clean water near the arrangement. Light a candle and recite:

“Abundance, as it is readily apparent here,
May you bring more as you stay near.
Health, wealth, and abundance be mine,
As reflected in this image to the eyes of the divine.
Blessed be.”

April Love
Spell Date: Wednesday, April 3, 2019

It’s April and love is in the air. Here is an April love spell. You’ll need two pink candles and a bouquet of pansies. Perform this spell over three nights. On the first night, place the candles at opposite sides of your altar or a table. Between them place the pansies. ( The pansies should stay fresh for three days. If not, replace them.) Light the candles and say:

“Pansies, love magnet that you are,
Bring me the perfect love.
It may come from near or far,
Just make it true and make it sweet.
Let it be a love that makes
my world complete.”

Repeat this charm for two more nights, but each night move the candles closer until they’re next to each other. On the last night, let the candles burn out safely, and hide them until the spell works. Then discard them if you wish.

International Children’s Book Day
Spell Date: Tuesday, April 2, 2019

Today is International Children’s Book Day. This is a time to celebrate reading in general and children’s books in particular. It also meshes well with many Pagan deities such as Seshat, goddess of writing.

Observe this holiday by celebrating books and children. Focus especially on children who rarely get to hear their own stories, such as young Pagans and people from different ethnic groups. Most classic children’s literature is very Christian and lacks diversity. So volunteer to do a reading, or donate some children’s books with more diverse content. There are many beautiful books about myths from around the world, and a handful of explicitly Pagan ones if you know someplace where those would be welcome.

This holiday doesn’t need a lot of fancy spellcasting. Keep the focus on the kids and the books. Just say a little prayer to Seshat or another writing patron when you do your thing.

A Fool in Every Nook and Cranny
Spell Date: Monday, April 1, 2019

Select the Fool card (trump zero) from your favorite Tarot deck and make ninety-three photocopies of the card. As you go about your day, distribute your Holy Fools across the world. Place them in fun, creative, silly, or meaningful places. Graffiti each one with cloud speech bubbles, quotes, or sayings that feel wise, funny, and insightful.

Each person who sees the cards will be amused or affected by your willfully foolish magic today if you pick your locations with careful delight. Write love and thank-you notes; pepper your path with the Punch, to remind you that only a fool thinks they know everything. How long will fools stick around? Search for the meaning behind that last Fool standing or any Fools that may find their way back to you somehow. Using the Fool to discover the synchronistic wonders of magick will help you to learn more about your own highest esoteric potential, all jokes aside!

Heartwings Love Notes 874: Perfectionism Wastes Time

Heartwings says, “Being patient with others is easier than being patient with ourselves.”

As a small child I insisted my hair ribbons match my socks. It seems I am addicted to seeking perfection. There is a story by Edgar Allen Poe called, The Fruit at the Bottom of the Bowl. It tells of a man who was apprehended for his crime because he had worked so hard to make sure he left no fingerprints at the scene. Insisting on having all my ducks in a row is frustrating as well as a bad habit of mine. I am trying to eliminate it, and I could be doing better. Patience and perfectionism don’t go well together.

Take tidying–it’s endless if I let it be. There is another favorite story of mine: A nice couple attracted the attention of P.T.Barnum, so the story goes, and he gifted them with a brand new sofa. Sadly, the rest of their living room furniture looked shabby by comparison, so they scrimped and saved and bought new. Then they had to paint the living room, and so it went until everything in their home was new except-you guessed it the no longer new, now shabby sofa. Tidying becomes endless because whatever isn’t tidied shows up more vividly.

So then I feel compelled to continue. The trick is to know when to stop, call it a day, and resume later. However my fear is that I won’t get back to the work at hand because other things will crop up that demand my attention. Trying to be patient with what needs doing is an important focus for me. The chief hindrance? Without wishing to, I have slowed down. I just cannot move as fast as I once did. Part of this is because being somewhat clumsy I am trying to be careful not to make mistakes, and part is because age and arthritis have affected my agility.

Patience with myself is my task now, and it’s not easy. I once had an elderly counseling client who constantly lamented that he could not move the way he wanted to. I now understand his frustration. What I have learned is that the secret to having patience is to have compassion. Over the years I taught myself to feel compassion for others who struggle. Now I need to apply it to myself. When I do, patience comes more easily. I have realized that being kind to myself is as important as being kind to others. I am patiently working on it.

May you find it in your heart to be patient with others and also with yourself.

Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert

Celebrate Spring: Tools For Cultivating Creativity

Creativity is accessed through a stimulus. It is important to embrace the transition! Learn to recognize strengths you may have overlooked and used them in the creative process. Embrace optimism and compel yourself forward. Honor the creative endeavor, which you are transforming into. Here are some tools for stimulating creativity:

1.Visualization and Guided Imagery: Picturing yourself as the person who is creative, successful and a fountain full of ideas, is the key to revealing your own mastery. It is a fact that creative people see themselves as creative giving themselves creative freedom. Those who feel they are not creative people, do not allow themselves to be creative and do not give themselves the opportunity to create anything new. Energy follows thought. When you program your thoughts to reflect your wishes, you tend to put your energy into making it so. The mind can be the most helpful tool in the way we desire to live our lives and create what we want to create. If you can believe it, you can achieve it.

2. Music: Music is a great motivator. Music empowers our spirit and can give us the creative spark to grow, realize who we are and even give our ideas wings. Music as a creative building block is as individual as we are. Find the music that gives you passion. The passion to grow. Let music inspire you, lift you up and find your voice. Music works on the Entrainment Theory. The beat of the music aligns with our heart and body rhythm. Slower music gives us time for reflection, inspiration, and introspection. Faster music moves us, motivates us and pushes us forward. Use music to create more creativity in your life.

3. Meditation: is a time-honored technique that can take you into infinite dimensions of consciousness. It is a simple effort that becomes effortless as we do it more and more. One major principle to meditation is the ability to completely quiet your mind. Use meditation as a tool for finding, exploring and making your creativity known.

4. Crystals: have the ability to guide, educate and bring us energy. These tools of the earth, often made up of the same trace minerals that are in our own organic bodies, can resonate with our physical and etheric energy bodies on many levels. Consider carrying some crystals with you. Try a grid made from crystals. Use them to stimulate power centers in and around the body. These “tools” can be used to bring out, encourage and enrich your creative process.

5. Pendulums: are thought to amplify both body energy and thoughts. It can assist in the creation of power, clarity of thinking, meditation, spiritual development and healing. The pendulum is considered a communication device between the conscious and the subconscious mind. They have the ability to access our intuitive capacities. Learning to use a pendulum is like learning any other skill. It requires time, determination, trust, balance, and persistent practice. Yet it is one of the best tools for tapping into the creative mind.

6. Candle Therapy: can be used to unite the powers of mind, body, and spirit. The candle’s flame has always been a metaphor for the soul! It possesses a tranquil and almost hypnotic atmosphere to those who allow its power to take them to a very special place. A candle acts as a “self-object”. A self-object is an object that is a reflection of our self, a reflection upon which we can act. The candle reflects the changes we would like to bring about in ourselves through our intentions.

7. Scent Therapy: works by sending fragrant messages to the brain using your sense of smell. A scent stimulates the olfactory nerve and encourages the brain to respond in a certain way. Scents can be used to stimulate creativity, encourage productivity and invite conversation. Essential oils can restore balance and harmony to your body and to your life. Aromatherapy can be experienced through several mediums. Essential oils are the purest form from flowers, barks, and herbs, used in incense, candles and aromatherapy products. Essential oils associated with stimulating creativity include clary sage, neroli, rose, and rosewood.

8. Tuning in to any energy is the ability to quiet the mind, allowing your inner self, or intuition, to perceive truth. By practicing this art, we develop a sensitivity toward inner information and the ability to condition our mind to listen on a much more subtle level. This “tuning in” can give us the ability to sense energy and actually perceive on an even more subconscious plane. Techniques are vast and varied, all of which, can be used in calming and clearing the mind, therefore, achieving clearer perception.

9. Color Therapy: is a set of principles used to create harmonious color and color combinations for healing. This form of energy medicine is based on the belief that the human body is composed of energy fields. When the energy is properly distributed and circulating freely, the body is healthy. Imbalances or abnormal amounts of energy are believed to indicate an excess or deficiency. Orange is the color used when there is an issue with blocked experiences in life, including a decrease in personal creativity. Consider using yellow if there are problems with decision making, burn out or poor concentration.

10. Feng Shui (pronounced Fung Shway) is the ancient Chinese art of placement to enhance the flow of “vital life energy” known as Qi. Practitioners believe that rooms, buildings and all environments can be arranged and decorated in a way that maximizes the flow of Qi and, resulting in improvements to health and happiness of those who live in that environment. When an area, office, home or room is divided into “areas” the West is the area most associated with children and creative impulses. This is the area you nurture in order to “give birth” to your dreams. The element associated with creativity is wood and the season is spring.

In happiness,

Trusting Your Intuition Could Change the World or Save Your Life!

What is your gut telling you? What is your “leaning” on something you’re questioning, or a decision you’re trying to make? You might not be able to put it into words, but you probably have a feeling as to what’s the right next move. Can you remember a time when you did not follow your inner direction? How did it feel when you realized you should have followed your instincts?

A practice that I use is to pause so that I can give my instinct a chance to be heard. Then, I check in with myself by asking, “Does it feel good?” This question gives me a chance to feel and hear how it feels. My friends and business associates remind me to pause and listen when they ask me, “What is the (your) Kerry gut saying?” For example, I follow this practice on all our new hires. If my gut reaction is no, we will not move forward with the candidate.

Recently, my inner voice kept prompting me to send a card to a friend whose husband had passed, and I kept ignoring it as I was busy until finally, I wrote the letter. My friend called crying and said, “your letter arrived on my husband’s birthday, your words of his gentle kindness gave me comfort on such a heart-wrenching day, I read your letter almost every day.” I smiled as I was thankful; I listened to my intuition to send the day I did so that it arrived on his birthday.
Years ago, I did not realize there was scientific evidence to support the validity of my “gut reaction” (the HeartMath Institute calls your “heart reaction”), but it turns out that approaching life from your heart is better for you both physically and socially. This information has inspired me to encourage those around me to also follow their instincts as we are conditioned to ignore our intuition and yet it is critical to our well-being and success.

How do you use your intuition to your best advantage? Notice your body’s reactions – changes in heartbeat, breathing, and muscle tension. Personally, my stomach will hurt if I am not following my intuition. Balancing logic and intuition are a practice of sorting your assumptions, evidence, prejudices, and intuition you are feeling. As Malcolm Gladwell, author of Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking said, “Truly successful decision making relies on a balance between deliberate and instinctive thinking.”

And yes, this is also an effective strategy to change the world and save lives. Below are some examples of fascinating stories on trusting intuition.

” Trisha Coburn: After having recurring scary dreams of people trying to tell her something. Trisha said, “I was standing at a barbed-wire fence across from five or six terribly frail people with huge dark eyes and ghostly pale skin. They were trying to tell me something in a language I didn’t understand. It was intense and disturbing, and it left me rattled.” She felt something was physically wrong so went to the doctor and all came back normal. When Trisha’s dreams continued with even more desperation from the people, she decided to get a colonoscopy and found out she had cancer. The doctor said if they had waited, her outcome could have been much worse.

” Henry Ford: Dealing with high turnover, he doubled employee wages in 1914, which in turn reduced turnover by a factor of more than 20 while productivity doubled and demand for Ford cars boomed.

” Oprah Winfrey: “Learning to trust your instincts, using your intuitive sense of what’s best for you, is paramount for any lasting success. I’ve trusted the still, small voice of intuition my entire life. And the only time I’ve made mistakes is when I didn’t listen.”

” Bill Allen: Boeing’s CEO in the 1950s had an idea to build his own commercial jet for civilian air travel. Allen convinced the board to risk $16 million on the transcontinental airliner, the 707, which transformed Boeing and air travel.

It takes practice to tune into your intuition. Staying in the pause is powerful. It allows you to notice your physical feelings, dreams, and recurring thoughts. With practice, you can connect your heart, gut, and brain to form one unified connection. When you allow the flow of internal feelings and dialog to influence your life, you will experience more positive outcomes. Life will flow with less resistance, and while you might not change the world, you will change your world.

Pausing is part of the 3 P formula; pause to pivot to the positive. If you would like to learn more about bringing this technique to your team contact me at

Spring Emotions and TCM
by Andrew Pacholyk MS L.Ac ~

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we have a healing methodology called the 5 Phases (Elements). In the Spring the weather is starting to warm up by the change in the sun’s position. The botanical world is making its renewal known through growth and upheaval. The energy of the season is rising upward and outward and expressing itself with the freshness of a new start. This new growth is what is represented by the element of Wood.

The Spring is the time when the climate is represented by Wind. Wind Cold imbalances are those in which wind and cold play a role in disease. The Liver and Gall Bladder systems are the most vulnerable at this time. These imbalances are often expressed as hepatitis and cases of pink eye which, in TCM stems back to imbalances in the Liver and Gallbladder systems. The Liver governs the workings of the sinews and muscles and imbalances are more apparent at this time of year. The sound associated with Spring is shouting, while the emotion most prevalent tends to be anger. By being prepared with this knowledge, it allows us to be in tune with our own body systems and shows how our health can be influenced by nature.

Strengthening the immune system should be a part of any seasonal ritual! Any tonic formula that regulates Qi, nourishes the eyes and tendons and tonifies the liver is appropriate. Remember, the best form of medicine, is preventative.

Learn how to heal with the seasons and how Traditional Chinese Medicine will help you find remedies and bring your body back into balance!

The Liver and Gallbladder

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, The liver and gallbladder are associated with Spring. They belong to the element of Wood. The Liver “system” is the “farmer who cultivates”. It stores blood, governs and regulates the blood, organizes the “free flow” of Qi energy to promote circulation which cultivates our emotions, soothes digestion, regulates menstruation and bile secretion. The liver changes harmful toxins into substances, which can be eliminated safely by the colon or kidneys. The liver is our master cleansing organ and the gall bladder is its mate. Enjoy a tall glass of water with a 1/2 lemon squeezed into it.

The Gallbladder system in Chinese Medicine is associated stores and excretes bile (as in Western medicine). The Gallbladder governs decision making and gives the courage and capacity to make decisions. Like the Liver, the Gallbladder controls the sinews by encouraging the Qi to the fascia. The Gallbladder also has an effect on our dreams. It is said that the Gallbladder effects the quality and length of sleep, if it is deficient, a person will wake very early and not be able to return to sleep. The Gallbladder’s close relationship to the Liver is not only anatomical but they both play an essential role in the smooth flow of Qi throughout the body. In order to plan a good life (which is a function of the Liver), one needs good decision making skills (which is a function of the Gallbladder).

The Liver is the major organ treated in Chinese Medicine. It is the organ that rules the free flow of Qi. The primary symptoms of Liver Qi Stagnation include frequent sighing; inpatients, anger and temper outbreaks, a sensation of fullness or congestion in the chest, intercostal, or subcostal regions. Secondary symptoms include obstructed bowel movements; dry and distended eyes; feeling of something being stuck in the throat; self-doubts and crying; pain (especially intercostal and abdominal) that is characterized by moving, pulling, or penetrating sensations; in females; premenstrual breast distention; menstrual cramping and irregular menstruation.

The Wood Element

The element, Wood is associated with the Spring season and with wind.

The element is associated with the liver and the gallbladder, which regulates the smooth flow of Qi energy throughout the body and has a strong relationship with the reproductive organ system and the ability to nourish the body with blood.

Wood represents our mental activity such as intellect and the ability to reason, memory, thoughts, knowledge and comprehension. It also rules new beginnings, friendship, clarity, and positive expression. The Wood personality is very good at making decisions and carrying them through.

The Wood element is associated with feng shui and Chinese medicine. Emotionally, wood allows you to be adaptable to life. It is the creativeness of the wood element that gets expressed when we are at our most artistic. Spring is the new life energy of growth, renewal and the life force sprouting upward and outward. Wood allows you to make a plan and stay true to that plan. It also allows you to be flexible, like a willow and adapt to the circumstances that intercept your plans and expectations.

Psychologically, wood is the element that represents our growth. Too much wood in the environment can produce excess growth, as in when a relationship moves too quickly or a business starts growing too fast without a strong foundation. Not enough wood in the environment and the results is expressed as stagnation or barrenness. Wood represents our creative urge to achieve, which can turn to anger, when frustrated. The wood element represents all the activities of the body that are self regulating and/or function without conscious thought such as heart beat, digestion, respiration and metabolism.

The Solar Plexus Chakra is in the third in the Chakra system and represents our power and will and autonomy, as well as our metabolism. When healthy, this Chakra brings us energy, effectiveness, spontaneity, and non-dominating power. It is your center of will. This Chakra deals with the human ego, emotions and self-love. Intuition is believed to begin in the area of our Solar Plexus Chakra. Although, the Third Eye Chakra is most associated with intuition, the “spark” is what is felt in the area of our solar plexus.

Anger is the feeling we experience when events in our world are not going according to our plans. Anger is one of the most common and destructive delusions affecting our minds. Because it is based on an exaggeration, anger is an expression of our belief system and how we defend it. It’s as if we have an inner idea of how things, events and people should be for us. When we get angry and either feel frustrated or try to change them, we tend to give away our power! Many of us remain a victim to our tempers all of our lives. In essence, anger is the feeling we get when we want to control the world around us.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, anger is most prevalent in the Spring. It is considered the emotion of Spring. Although we can and do experience anger at any time or season, it is Spring when we are most easily angered. This is believed to be due to the changes of light and dark and the balance between them.

It is very important to identify the actual cause of whatever unhappiness we feel. If we are forever blaming our difficulties on others, this is a sure sign that there are still many problems and faults within our own mind. If we were truly peaceful inside and had our mind under control, difficult people or circumstances would not be able to disturb this peace, and so we would feel no compulsion to blame anyone or regard them as our enemy. To someone who has subdued his or her mind and eradicated the last trace of anger, all beings are friends.

Techniques for Managing Anger

1. The first step towards managing anger, is to identify which attitudes and convictions that many predispose us to being excessively angry in the first place! Once these beliefs have been identified, it is important to take steps to understand and correct them, if need be.

2. The second step is to realize that anger is a natural human emotion and it is not the emotion of anger that tends to be a problem. The problem is the mismanagement of our anger. Mismanaged anger and rage are the major cause of conflicts in our lives. This mismanagement often has roots from our childhood that prevents us from expressing our anger as appropriately as we should. These factors include fear, denial, ignorance and impatience. These factors can derail the appropriate management of our anger towards others. Learning to understand and change these factors in ourselves, will allow us to express our suppressed anger in a more appropriate way.

3. The third step is learning the appropriate ways of expressing our ” honest and legitimate” anger at others so that we can begin to cope more effectively with anger provoking situations as they come up in our lives. When we are anxious or depressed, we are often experiencing the consequences of our suppressed anger. The problem is that we have suppressed our anger so deeply that we succeeded in concealing it from our own selves! All we are left with is the residual evidence of it, our anxiety or our depression. When we are depressed, very often we are also angry at ourselves without realizing it. Learning to appropriately manage our anger at ourselves is the antidote to much of alcoholism, drugs and sexual abuse.

4. The fourth step in the Anger Management process is to approach anger by taking responsibility for our own reactions and behavior. We can do this by addressing our anger with the following coping techniques:

1. Listen to other people, first: listen carefully to what is being said. Do not have a preconceived opinion before you hear what is being said. Remember, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

2. Think carefully about what you want to say: before you say it. slow down. What is the underlying factor in your anger? Fear, denial, impatience?

3. Be clear about what you are going to express.: Your objective is not to belittle, berate, be sarcastic or attack someone, because their opinion is different than yours.

4. If their statement is pushing your anger button: know why! Try to understand the root of your own anger. Look at why they have formed such an opinion.

5. Express yourself by saying: “I feel angry with (you, them, this situation) because…” Stay calm in the face of your own and the other person’s anger. The worse thing to do if someone is angry toward you is to shout back at them! Be patient and ask questions to get to the heart of problem. Try being carefully assertive, rather than aggressive.

6. Make lifestyle changes. Making small changes in your life can allow you to reap great rewards.

7. Get regular exercise: This can help to prevent the accumulation of tension and will give you regular time away from everyday stress.

8. Learn relaxation exercises such as yoga and meditation. These forms of exercise will help to release tension in a controlled, healthy way.

9. Change your environment. Find alternatives for situations which add stress to your life. Schedule time to relax and unwind.

10. Learn to express your feelings: either by talking to a friend or by venting feelings in other ways, perhaps creatively through painting, journaling or taking on a new hobby.

Crystals for Anger

These gems offer the insight and level-headed that is appropriate for becoming more aware. When we get angry, we either feel frustrated or try to change our situation with words, therefore, we give away our power! Many of us remain a victim to our tempers all of our lives. The need to understand the power and place of forgiveness in our world is important in the healing process. It is urgent that we examine the steps that lead to justice and strengthen society. We need to understand how forgiveness improves the human condition. How do we choose to forgive? What are the effects of holding grudges and seeking revenge? We can find a way to balance our need for security with the potential for granting forgiveness. Forgiveness offers the possibility of two types of peace: peace of mind — the potential healing of old emotional wounds, and peace with others — the possibility of new, more gratifying relationships in the future. Learn more about the power of forgiveness

Patience is a mind that is able to accept, fully and happily, whatever occurs. It is much more than just gritting our teeth and putting up with things. Being patient means to welcome wholeheartedly whatever arises, having given up the idea that things should be other than what they are. It is always possible to be patient; there is no situation so bad that it cannot be accepted patiently, with an open, accommodating, and peaceful heart. When patience is present in our mind it is impossible for unhappy thoughts to gain a foothold.

There are many examples of people who have managed to practice patience even in the most extreme circumstances, such as under torture or in the final ravages of cancer. Although their body was ruined beyond repair, deep down their mind remained at peace. By learning to accept the small difficulties and hardships that arise every day in the course of our lives, gradually our capacity for patient acceptance will increase and we shall come to know for ourselves the freedom and joy that true patience brings.

April Showers
By Madisyn Taylor

As the rain comes down, we can visualize it cleansing our minds and hearts, washing away winter, preparing us to start anew.

We are not always glad to see rain make its appearance each spring, accompanied as it is by clouds and cancellations, muddy boots, and limited visibility. Yet, without it, summer’s lushness would be less deep and less vibrant, the earth more exposed and unprotected from the sun’s heat, and browns instead of greens would dominate the landscape. For anyone who has ever suffered through a drought, rain is always recognized for the blessing that it is, the forerunner of flowers and fruit.

Even though most of us admittedly prefer sunshine to rain, we can appreciate the rain as part of the intertwining cycle of opposites that makes our world go round–wet and dry, dark and light, cold and warm, each giving way to the other in equal measure. This dynamic of yin and yang governs all aspects of life, and rain and flowers are no exception. Their interdependence offers us another window into the inner workings of nature and life in general. In our personal lives, there is also a time for resting and a time for growth, a time to allow and receive, and a time to blossom forth with abandon in full color. As the rain comes down, we might surrender to its wisdom, visualizing it cleansing our minds and hearts, washing away the detritus of winter, preparing us to come clean into the second half of spring, ready to start anew.

As the days grow longer and the rain grows first warmer and then less frequent, the earth will begin drying off and the promised buds will burst in every imaginable color. Until then, the rainbow after the rainstorm serves to remind us of what’s coming with a display so otherworldly that we can’t help but love the showers almost as much as we love the flowers.

Stephen Halpert
Low Tide

It was the week of Valentine’s Day. Jack Dawkins and his wife Cindi were enjoying a getaway at a beachfront rental.
“Hello beautiful,” Jack said as he came in the door.
Cindi set aside her sketch book. “Hello handsome, yourself,” she grinned. Even after thirty years of marriage she still admired his husky well toned body.
“I was watching you on the beach. Even here in the middle of nowhere you seem to attract fascinating women.” She set down her drink and laughed. “Good thing I’m not a jealous sort of wife. What’s her name? The woman with the dog?”
“What woman?” Jack removed his swimsuit and wrapped up in a towel.
“The one walking beside you and that dog on the beach.”
“There wasn’t any woman.”
She laughed. “She looked very ethereal, like a dancer.”
Instead of commenting he slid back into his trunks. “Come on, I’ll show you.”
She followed him out of their rental over the sand toward the ocean. Even though it was late afternoon the beach at Paradise Cove was deserted.
“See,” he pointed. “My footprints are there in the sand and those alongside mine are the dog’s.”
Cindi looked down. Sure enough, there were no other footprints. “My goodness, you’re right. But I clearly saw her.”
Jack shrugged. “Must have been a trick of the light,” he said. Then his voice changed. “But oh for a dog like that,” he said wistfully. “A friendly German Shepard with bright blue eyes, and an unusual white coat.” He took her hand. “Let’s go change and explore what there is to see in Paradise Cove. Then we’ll have an early supper.”
“But…” Cindi began, and then she stopped, blinked and decided to drop it. Maybe it had been a trick of the light, but still, the woman had seemed so real. She was almost like a nymph from a fairy tale; with long flowing draperies…She shook her head and went to find a sweater. The evening was cooling.
Paradise Cove’s beach community was nestled on an isthmus hidden between Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida. What had attracted them for their Valentine Day getaway was the promise of privacy. Now that the Christmas season had passed, Jack needed quiet time to relax. Cindi, a popular commercial artist looked forward to using their time away to sketch and paint a series of watercolors.
They both liked Paradise Cove’s wild primordial nature: weathered beach shacks forgotten by time, a gas station, a small lending library, a food store, a marina, and the fish hut where they planned on having supper that night. For anything more they’d have to drive at least twenty miles to reconnect with civilization.
“Who owns that beautiful white German Shepard,” Jack asked the bartender at the beach hut? The older man seemed momentarily nonplused. He averted his eyes. His mouth tightened. “Tourists come and go. Could belong to almost anyone.”
“This one was quite special,” Cindi opened to a page in her sketchbook. But rather than taking the time to look, the bartender moved to another corner of the bar. Odd, Jack thought but didn’t pursue the conversation. They ordered prawns, red snapper and vegetables served in a hot Mexican sauce.
Back at their rental Jack suggested they go for a late night swim. He grinned as Cindi slipped into her new bikini. As they walked down onto the damp sand, Cindi shivered. She felt as though she were being watched. She looked around but the moonlight showed only a deserted beach. The tide was out. Holding hands they sauntered farther out and into the ocean.
Cindi was just getting used to the water when she felt something slam into her legs. She went under immediately, and it almost felt as though something were holding her down.
Jack reached out to grab her but momentarily lost sight of her. Then he too felt something pull his legs out from under him. He choked. Water began to fill his mouth and nose. He kicked strongly and jumped out from under the weight on his back. Frantically, he reached around in the water, found Cindi’s outstretched arm, pulled her up and held her against him. He was grateful for those workouts at his gym.
She gasped for breath. “Something tried to drown me.”
“Something knocked me over too. Maybe some kind of big fish.”
“It felt too big for a fish,” she said. “It could even have been a person.”
“Let’s get back inside,” he said. He held onto her as they walked.
Back in their rental Cindi said, “My ribs hurt. We both need to take some homeopathic arnica. I’m glad I brought it with me.”
Jack nodded. He made sure to lock the front and back doors. Neither wanted to talk about the experience. Jack was mulling it over in his mind. Cindi didn’t want to even think how awful it could have been. She just wanted to forget about it as quickly as possible. They showered and realizing how exhausted they both were, climbed into bed.
The following morning at the beachside market Jack inquired about the white German Shepard with the bright blue eyes. The older woman at the counter looked blank “No idea,” she said. “Tourists come and go all the time.”
“Sell any cans of dog food? Chances are whoever might buy some owned the dog,” Cindi said.
As had the bartender’s the night before, the woman’s lips tightened. “We don’t stock dog food. Vacationers usually bring their own.”
“Something’s weird,” Cindi said as they walked back to their
car. “I’ll think I’ll check out the library. Want to join me?”
“Sure, I’m still worried over last night. Paradise Cove is giving me the creeps.”
The elderly librarian smiled at them. On sale were small privately printed illustrated histories of Paradise Cove.
“You wouldn’t know who owns the beautiful German Shepard we saw on the beach?” Cindi asked.
The elderly woman looked thoughtful.
Cindi showed her the sketches she made yesterday while Jack was walking on the beach.
“That looks like Vera Castle’s dog, Silver Ghost.”
“Silver Ghost?” They both said.
“But all that happened decades ago back during Prohibition when the Cove was a popular watering hole for big spenders from Miami. One night Vera and her lover had a terrible row. She and Silver Ghost both disappeared. It’s said that since then Silver Ghost has always wandered the beach. Sometimes they’re seen together.”
“That’s very strange,” Cindi said.
“Oh it’s all here in our little history,” the elderly woman said pointing to the rack of books. “Folks around here didn’t like my putting it in the book. They wanted it hushed up. But I don’t think a ghost story hurts business.” She lowered her voice and leaned toward them, “Seems Vera’s lover was two timing her with another woman. The day after Vera disappeared her lover and the other woman drowned. Strangely, it happened at low tide. And since then over the years there’s been other drownings, all at low tide.”
“Really?” Jack took Cindi’s hand.
The librarian smiled. “An odd time for drownings wouldn’t you say?”
They paid for the little history and left. Back in their rental, they agreed enough was enough, packed up and left for home sooner than they had planned.
As they were driving, Cindi said, “Still want a white blue eyed German Shepard? I could try to find you a puppy for your birthday.”
Jack raised his eyebrows. “Thanks, but no thanks.”

Writing Your Story
By Madisyn Taylor

We all have a story to tell, whether you publish it or keep it to yourself or family; allow yourself to be heard.

Everyone, at one time or another, has wanted to express his or her story. Writing a memoir to read privately, share with family or friends, or publish is an emotionally satisfying way to gain perspective on your experiences while sharing your unique voice. We’ve all experienced feelings and events in our lives that we are longing to write down. Giving in to that urge can give you an outlet for purging any frustration, anxiety, or long-dormant feelings. No one else has to read it. You may even want to write your story without reading it right away. Satisfying the need to tell your story is not predicated upon your writing ability. It does, however, take effort to write down the truth in detail. Your memories, captured on paper as descriptive scenes, sights, sounds, and scents, may at first seem disconnected or incomplete. But rest assured that you possess the ability to shape your recollections into stories.

Everyone wants to be heard. Reading your story to others can meet that need. Writing your story can also help you understand your life experiences. And when you finish writing, you may be surprised at what you have accomplished. Your story can encompass as much or as little of your life as you prefer. You may surprise yourself with new insights, or you may find yourself exploring your roots, your identity, and your future through your words. Allow your writing to guide you and write as truthfully as possible. Don’t worry about what others will think of your personal journey, your style of writing, or your words.

Research has shown that writing a personal narrative filled with feelings and perceptions can create long-term health benefits. As you write, remember to have compassion for yourself, particularly when writing about traumatic events. If you are a young person, you can add to your life story as you grow older. Your writing may help family members know you better, or they may understand themselves more through reading about your experiences. More importantly, you are expressing yourself in a permanent way, giving a gift to yourself, and letting your voice be heard.

Weekly Horoscopes beginning Sunday, 07 April 2019

If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

The insights triggered by the recent Aries New Moon were helpful you remain unclear about what`s next. Eager as you are to act, you`re still reviewing your own priorities. Besides, each day brings yet more questions if not unexpected obstacles. Tempting as it is to proceed, hoping for the best, you`re urged to gather your facts and make solid plans before you do a thing.

You have an important decision to make and the consequences will affect a few people in your life as well as your own future. Because of this you will leave no stone unturned when researching information and considering the pros and cons. Friends fire questions at you from all angles because they know you know the answers. Your intuition is heightened, and you could be surprised by how much you are starting to rely on your instincts.

Grab a piece of paper and take time to note down all the reasons why someone should want to work with you. Note how much responsibility you`ve carried in recent years. Make the point to of how you`ve adapted your career or perhaps even changed it all together. Further opportunities await. The more prepared you are the better. Yes, that is a statement of the obvious but one of the potential downfalls of being an Aries, is the tendency to act on impulse and not rehearse. Putting energy into preparation before Mercury leaves your sign on Tuesday 16th would be wise. Think carefully about the image you want to put across. Yes, you`re right presentation is key. If you can get this right and then add to it your unique way of looking at things, by the Full Moon on April 19, you could have pushed your career significantly forward.

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

You`ve long suspected that familiar but outdated elements of your life would have to change. With Uranus, planet of innovation, now in Taurus, you`re beginning an extensive cycle of review and exploration. While some changes will be immediate and straightforward, others will require time, thought and considerable review. In every case, however, the more you learn, the clearer it will be they constitute timely breakthroughs.

Dealings and discussions with relatives and housemates will be easier than expected. Doing repairs and creating a beautiful home together will create a spirit of harmony. If you are thinking of moving, seek a property with a large garden in a peaceful setting. Expect to be taking on new work responsibilities and you will take these very seriously. You want to impress your boss as it means a lot to you that they have trusted you with these important assignments..

It`s still only been a few weeks since Uranus moved into your sign.. As needs to be said many times over, it will take some weeks to embrace this new vibration. There`s high probability that your entrepreneurial talents – perhaps long buried, – are rising to the surface. In noting how others have teamed up and copying their techniques: either to distribute goods and services or perhaps to secure better discounts, you could advance not just your financial position, but also your status. True effort will be required and yes, you may need to make many short journeys. The outcome though – especially in increasing communications,- should lead to a whole new way of working.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

The move by Mars, planet of courage and action, into Gemini on 31 March – for a month – is about rethinking your current activities and exploring options, some familiar, others so new you`re unsure what`s involved. Also, certain once-promising arrangements come undone. For now, wait, watch and consider what you`ll happily let go of and what excites you; and those trying to rush you? Ignore them.

Working within a large group will cause your popularity to soar. Your easy-going nature helps keep things friendly. Don`t be surprised if people look to you to take charge of a community event or fundraiser. This will be a great channel for your energy. There is an air of secrecy and confidentiality in some dealings. A relative or neighbour will come clean about a secret they have been harbouring for some time. You will want to think about what they have said very carefully.

With both Mercury and Venus presently travelling over the apex of your solar chart, it might seem to some that you have fingers in far too many pies. They are perhaps right that by the First Quarter Moon on Friday 12th, that you ought to be thinking about streamlining. That approach may be thrust upon you at the Full Moon the following Friday (19th). True, you may feel that too many people are dictating the pace and the level of responsibility you should carry. Yet with Venus and Neptune aligning in another of the Air signs midweek, it may be that you are right to focus on creative pursuits and demand that others carry a little more responsibility themselves. As Jupiter comes to its station in your opposite sign on Thursday 11th, you may find that you`ve entranced a co-worker who now understands that to get the best out of you, they must allow you freedom of movement.

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Over the past week or so, a range of tricky situations have either progressed unexpectedly or, bizarrely, resolved themselves. Because you`ve set aside time to deal with these, suddenly you`re free to focus on both neglected plans and new interests. Decisions may seem urgent, but take it slowly. You`ve a new, unaccustomed yet welcome freedom. For now, explore your options, learning from each. Decisions can wait.

A close relationship is going through a harmonious phase and if you had the choice, you would spend every minute together. Unfortunately, you also have outside commitments that you can`t ignore. Social and romantic opportunities abound but it will be impossible to find time to fit it all in. Don`t push yourself so hard that by the end of the week you`ll hardly be able to string two thoughts together. Think about your health.

On Friday 12th, there is a First Quarter Moon in your sign. This provides an appropriate moment to assess all the initiatives taken since your birthday last year. It may well be that there are further career developments to take place. Yes, it`s true that you might also be engaged in providing support to a close partner or colleague who is also going through career challenge. Whilst on the outside, it might appear that you have too much on your plate already, it is likely that you are now thriving.. Midweek, as the Moon moves through neighbouring Gemini, you could tune into undercurrents and uncover yet more possibilities. Before others even outline their plans (which might well not take off until after the Full Moon on 19th), you could seize possibilities and even, perhaps suggest meetings that could be held next week where you layout plans that make clear what you bring to the table and how advantageous it is for others to have you on their team.

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Often, when you encounter obstacles, you`ll ignore them and see what happens. While, in the past, either they`ve vanished or you`ve found an easy solution, those you`re now facing are more complex. In fact, many accent matters that need attention or, perhaps, where you`re short of facts. These may seem dull now, but once you learn more, you`ll realise how exciting they could be.

You aren`t in the mood for anything too serious, complicated or time consuming. You just want to enjoy your days and have some fun. Because of this you won`t let anything get you down. Friendships, hobbies, romance and creativity all come under favourable stars. Your positive mood inspires your family and friends. A joint project will make excellent progress and you will all do everything possible to maintain this. You won`t be disappointed. You`re grateful to have such wonderful friends.

It would be wholly understandable if you felt slightly at a loss for words. Fact is, that with so much activity in what they call Mutable signs of the Zodiac, you may feel that others are lacking direction and that you need to issue an ultimatum. Getting your message across will require judicious use of language! Perhaps you might consider demanding that a decision is taken by the First Quarter Moon next Friday (12th). It may be that until then all you`re doing is stirring things up. Bearing in mind that yours is one of the Fire signs of the Zodiac and that the effect of fire on the many planets presently in Water signs, it could be that speaking too early would result in people getting all steamed up. This period though, would be excellent for redefining aims, and looking at the alternatives which until now has it had seemed out of reach.

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

After weeks of dealing with complex situations and tricky individuals, suddenly that side of your life is in order. This means you`re able to focus on cherished ideas or objectives. The challenge? You`ll need to make decisions while lacking vital information. Out of character as it may be, forget about planning and take it day by day. Things will come together with amazing ease.

Revisiting places that were special to you in your childhood will spark emotions you have not felt in a very long time. It will have been years since you thought about some people and events and you might wish you could re-live some experiences. This could prompt you to contact someone from your past. Your practical outlook will attract an interesting career opportunity. If you`re going on a job interview, prepare everything you need well in advance and you will make a fabulous impression.

You might agree that there are times when the Virgo worry control system is off kilter. For the bulk of this working week, it could be that anxiety, disquiet and general unease get the better of you. If you feel that this is at all possible, then it would be wise to take time out to meditate, read self-help books, or adjust your diet or do whatever is necessary to try to regain control. The situation is unusual. The combined forces of Mercury and Venus moving through your opposite sign which might well mean that you`re being oversensitive to other people`s behaviour. It is possible too that the square aspect between the Sun and Saturn (still passing through your leisure zone) may be leaving you on prominent working red alert. Add this to Jupiter`s station at the base of your solar chart and which could well be stirring up deep emotions, high levels of anxiety would be understandable. All this energy could of course be put to excellent use if you need to undertake any kind of research.

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Ordinarily, you`ll consider your options in depth, then make lasting plans; but with the foundation on which they`re based shifting, what makes sense one day changes the next. Don`t worry. Instead, accept this as the new normal, at least for now. While this means rethinking both your priorities and arrangements regularly, this also enables you to reflect on how things would in the long term.

Not everything will go your way and because you`re taking on a big challenge, you won`t expect it to be easy. Your willingness to take the rough with the smooth without any complaints will be admired by your friends and colleagues. A relative will need some help moving home or with some work that`s being carried out on their property. Since you know this is going to be time-consuming, you might decide to leave it until the weekend to volunteer.

We are still some days away from the Full Moon in your sign on 19th. By Friday, (which incidentally is Venus – your ruling planet`s day of the week), Jupiter will have arrived at a station. See this as a major crossroads. It`s from then that an idea that`s likely been incubating for the last 18 months or so, will demand considerable attention. Before then, ensuring that everything that could be regarded as `normal work` is running smoothly should take priority; and yes, this could be challenging. If you have dealings with those born under the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius, you may need to use all your considerable charm to persuade them to fulfil promises they made weeks ago. It might also be necessary to give them 19th as a deadline. Fact is that you could move your career significantly forward – even by Friday 12th – enjoying the support of those closest to you as you move up your career ladder.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Since mid-March, you`ve wrestled with tricky situations involving obligations, and in a range of circumstances, from personal matters or family to work. True, you achieved a great deal. Still, recent developments mean you`ve yet more to decide and deal with. While, ordinarily, you`d aim to organise lasting plans, with things moving so swiftly, regard them as tentative which, happily, means you can forget about time-consuming details.

A close friend or partner seems to be in an odd frame of mind. You get the impression they are planning something secretly but for the time being, you will keep your thoughts to yourself. Eventually you will find out what they are up to. You`re thinking of the future and setting new long-term goals. There is no need to moderate your hopes because you are about to achieve something big. An opportunity to achieve financial security could be just around the corner.

As you may remember, Uranus is now travelling through your opposite sign. You are probably acutely aware of how unpredictable others can be. For someone who appreciates loyalty, steadfastness and integrity, this could be a challenging time. Note that this transits will last for some years. It will likely not be as distressing once you`ve got used to this new planetary rhythm. Though it might seem that one relationship will not stand the test of time as far as working matters are concerned, it is likely that in alliance with someone from another of the Water signs, that you will determine how best to husband your energy and resources. It might even be that money is not a factor in this at all, but that you sense that by assisting someone else on their career path, that you will not only feel good, but find another pathway for yourself later in the year.

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

As much as you enjoy discussing new ideas and venturing into unfamiliar territory, you`ve done so much of that recently that you need a break. True, this could mean ignoring developments you`d usually leap on; but, for now, life`s about examining the role of both longstanding, if not cherished, arrangements and plans you`re passionate about. It may be time for some to become history.

Getting drawn into a heated discussion will be a big mistake. Finding yourself in the middle of some conflict isn`t the best position to be in. You can see and understand both sides of the issue and both parties expect you to stay loyal. Diplomacy is key. There are a few options ahead of you now. Stay alert and you will be able to choose the most advantageous offers and opportunities for your particular situation.

This coming Friday, 12th, Jupiter stations in your sign. This isn`t something that happens every year. In fact, it`ll be another decade before it does so. This marks a key moment. Think of this as arriving at the top of a mountain: where you can see both the path you`ve come up, and the possible routes down. Though you might not want to make your next move until closer to the Full Moon on 19th, it should be clear before the end of this week, that communication systems are in excellent working order, and that you have the full support of an expert in making your choices. It might even be that as of Friday, you glide smoothly to another plateau accompanied by someone who is familiar with the most up-to-date technologies but who needs your help to make archived material digital.

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Because you rarely make even the simplest of decisions without gathering facts, asking experts then weighing up your options, a review isn`t usually necessary. However, major shifts in the foundation of arrangements demands a serious rethink. This is tedious but also a relief. Deep down, you`ve been increasingly aware that certain arrangements would need to change, probably soon. Now you can begin the process..

Helping a loved one out when they need you could put you in a difficult position. You have responsibilities elsewhere. Friends will come to your rescue. Events bring you closer to your family and friends. You feel blessed to have such loving people around you. Community interests are favoured. You will be asked to help organise a fundraiser and you will be delighted to play such an important part in this project.

You may remember that Saturn has joined Pluto moving through your sign. Saturn is often viewed as `old master time`. Major aspects made by Saturn mark important steppingstones or turning points. Another of these arrives midweek and is likely connected to your career and working pattern. It may be that a new schedule has to be agreed. This should be quite different to what was thought to be acceptable even just a few weeks ago. Of course, it would be understandable if you were irritated given that it`s likely the case that you thought this would happen weeks ago. It isn`t the case that the last few weeks have been wasted. Indeed, it may be that innovative solutions to some difficulties have been found. This might indeed be driven by contractual or legal necessity. Fact is that before Jupiter arrives at its station on Friday, new terms will likely need to be agreed. Your particular expertise will no doubt be noted; making this an excellent time for interviews or examinations.

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

As a clever air sign, you`ve a knack for making even tricky decisions swiftly. Recently, however, you`ve been struggling with both minor plans and more major arrangements, some you`ve already thought through. The reason? In early March your ruler Uranus moved into a new sign, and position in your chart, triggering questions and shifting your priorities. For now, life`s about review and exploration, not long-term plans.

You`re determined to make your personal wishes and wants a priority. Your thoughts are on the future and you are looking into the possibility of doing some travelling soon. An adventurous friend will have some good advice for you. Work goes well. A boost to your confidence comes through the realisation that your boss holds you in high esteem. They are ready to support your efforts to get ahead. All you have to do is ask for their help.

You may recall that Mars is presently moving through another of the Air signs. It`s likely that you are full of ideas but perhaps having difficulty in seeing any of these to completion. That would be understandable for many reasons – not least of which that others may be still focused on clearing up apparent mess that developed in recent weeks. Yet it could be that a revised schedule can be agreed. There might also be preoccupation with asset management and budgeting. In short, the challenge of developing new lines of thinking against the backdrop of demands being made by those who`ve got themselves into difficulty, is likely to be difficult. That said, it would be wise not to underestimate your ability to find loopholes and ways of moving forward. By the time Jupiter stations on Friday, you could have done precisely that.

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Somebody you care about has been complaining non-stop. While you`ve made attempts to be helpful, most issues are theirs, and theirs alone, to deal with. So back off, and busy yourself with certain of your own tasks and obligations, many of which you`ve neglected while you dealt with others` dramas. Now you, and your interests, for the present and the future are your number one priority.

You feel snubbed by a colleague who seems to think they are better than you. Explain why their words have upset you. Gather friends and family around you as you could do with some loving, supportive company. Online activities will inspire your creativity and put you in touch with your inner child. This is a wonderful time to showcase your talents. A VIP you have followed on Facebook for some time could surprise you by what they say or do.

On Friday 12th, Jupiter stations at the very apex of your solar chart. This doesn`t happen every year, in fact, it`s a once in a decade opportunity. This is the time to take stock. Actually, you could be forced to do this by someone from another generation who feels you may have been fooling around or at least not been sufficiently focused. It`s probable though that you`re playing for the long rather than the short term. It`s entirely possible too that something you`ve written or said, has real value to others and that as of the end of this week they will be making overtures to get you to join their team. It may be that the time is coming when in joining forces you experience career advancement.
