Llewellyn’s Spell a Day

All Creatures of the World Meditation
Spell Date: Sunday, July 1, 2018

On this day in 1975, endangered species were declared internationally protected. Species disappear every day, and millions have been lost. It can be overwhelming to contemplate our impact on the planet and its creatures.

This day is one to celebrate all of the world’s creatures, the great and the small. Go into the woods or a meadow or park, and sit down to observe. Listen with your eyes closed. How many creatures can you hear? Then look around you and see how many diverse species there are: birds, rodents, insects. How many can you name? Notice if these creatures interact with you. Do the birds come closer? Do butterflies land on you? Do curious squirrels approach you wondering if you have food?

Find something wondrous in each creature you observe: their colorful wings or feathers, their sounds and songs, their graceful movements. Consider your relationship to these living beings you share space with.

Asteroid Day
Spell Date: Saturday, June 30, 2018

A small group of scientists recently named today Asteroid Day in order to promote awareness about preventing these careening minor planets from hitting and harming our world. Indeed, the threat posed to us by asteroids is not small. Of course, as magical practitioners, we can lend a hand on the spiritual and energetic side of things. To do so, relax and take some deep breaths. When you feel calm and centered, call on Archangel Metatron, the angel of the cosmos, the spheres, and sacred geometry. Request that he proactively fine-tune the dance of asteroids in such a way that they cause the least possible harm to our world, now and into the distant future, for the highest and truest good of all. And if you’d like to learn more about protecting the globe from asteroids, or to spread awareness about this day, visit

Faerie Garden Blessing
Spell Date: Friday, June 29, 2018

The beauty of summer is on full display! The roses are in bloom and crops such as lettuce, peas, and strawberries are table-ready. Why not invite the fae into your garden to give it a burst of magickal energy?

For this spell you will need:
* A flat stone
* Some pretty tumbled stones
* A little milk and honey
* A green tealight candle

Set your flat stone in a pretty place in your garden, maybe tucked under a fern or near some violets. Lay out the stones and the milk and honey. Light your tealight and say:

“Greetings, faeries, far and near.
An offering I leave, my intentions clear.
Please bless this garden with your faerie play,
And enchant our lives each and every day.”

Let the tealight burn out safely. Don’t be surprised if you hear the faint sound of faerie bells as the sun begins to set.
Magical Moon Bubbles
Spell Date: Thursday, June 28, 2018

This spell is used to shift the body and mind to match the vibration of the moon, helping enhance our connection to the full moon and to the Goddess. First, create a brew using these ingredients:

1 sliced lemon
1 sliced cucumber
1 tablespoon coconut flakes
1 teaspoon poppy seeds

Put in a pot with three cups of water. Simmer on the stove until it begins to boil. Allow to cool, then strain into a large cup. Run a bath and pour the brew into the tub. Add some bubble bath and step into the water. Relax, mentally focusing on the moon. Visualize moonlight shining down upon you, enveloping you in its energy. When you feel connected, say:

“Shining orb of power and might,
connecting me to the spiritual source,
bathe me in your sacred light, enchant
me with your magical force.”

Drain the tub, dress, and go outside to gaze at the moon.

A Recycling Blessing Spell
Spell Date: Wednesday, June 27, 2018

Let’s be honest: people who are spiritual, magickal, and earthbased should recycle everything they’re able to. Even non-spiritual people with an ethical approach to life embrace recycling because it’s the right thing to do. Try incorporating this blessing spell into your recycling activities.

The number thirteen is commonly used in Witchcraft because of its lunar associations. Gather thirteen items from your recycling bin. These may include things made of plastic, tin, aluminum, paper, glass, or other materials.

Think about the process of recycling. When these items become transformed into new items, how can you lend a bit of energy to the process? How can you send blessings to the people who will use (and ideally re-recycle) the transformed items?

Using a black permanent marker, write symbols and words of blessings on the items before putting them back into the bin. Empower them with energy and envision the magick rippling out into the world.

Me Day
Spell Date: Tuesday, June 26, 2018

Today is my birthday, and I am celebrating. Join me.

Too often we do a lot for others. We give, work, do, help, and take care of and for others. But not today. Today is “me day,” a chance to celebrate “self.”

Quickly list the tiny, simple, and common things that bring you pleasure. Here are some of mine: delicious coffee, sunshine on my face, a fast walk that works up a little sweat, a swim in the lake, fresh chocolate croissants, belly laughs, time with friends, hugs, snuggles with my daughter, time in the garden with the cat, checking things off my to-do list, napping, and eating dinner on the deck.

Today, do as many of those small, simple, and sweet pleasures as possible, those tiny treasures that cost little and bring gratification to the soul. Store the kernels of joy away, and know that many small pleasures add up to BIG magic.

Honeybee Magic
Spell Date: Monday, June 25, 2018

Colony collapse disorder is causing an alarming loss of honeybee populations. We depend on honeybees to pollinate food-bearing plants, especially fruit trees. Bees have been important to humans for millennia and are intimately entwined with human history. Honey is a superfood and a natural antimicrobial agent. We can attract honeybees to pollinate in our gardens and encourage the healthy proliferation of these important insects.

Plant a variety of annuals in pots or in a small garden bed, and place a small bowl of water or a birdbath there, too. Annuals that attract bees include borage, sunflowers, cosmos, cornflowers, calendula, and asters. Some of these can be planted from seed earlier in spring, and many are available from your local garden shop.

Honeybees are gentle and will not sting unless their lives are in danger (as stinging kills them). Sit in your garden and watch them busily pollinate your flowers. Maybe they’ll inspire you to be more industrious!

Love Notes 834: Birthdays are for Celebrating

Heartwings says, “It is important to celebrate each birthday as a milestone.”

Our country is about to celebrate another birthday and so is my husband Stephen. His mother didn’t quite make it to the 4th so his is the 3rd. Always we have a party and invite friends to come share in our celebration. In addition we usually take the entire week off. We avoid housework except for what is truly necessary like laundry, cooking and shopping. We also take the week as a time to get away from ongoing writing projects and seek out things to do for fun. Occasionally we go to movies or interesting restaurants, sometimes we revisit places we’ve lived and take a walk together down memory lane;.

The birthday of our country is a grand occasion throughout the United States, with concerts, fireworks, and gatherings as well as parades. I lived once in a town that had a big parade every 4th and every year to my family’s delight marched down our street and past our door. We were able to sit on our front lawn and watch the marchers, the bands and the floats pass by. That same town also later held games and races for the children, and often a carnival would come to join the festivities as well.

Once called Independence Day, the birthday of the USA was first celebrated on July 4 1777 in Philadelphia with bells, bonfires and fireworks. The glorious 4th is also an occasion for political speeches and posturing as various politicians seek to gather votes and voters with an eye to the elections in the fall. Orations by Daniel Webster, john Quincy Adams and many others throughout our history have enlivened the day. I can remember picnics by the beach and local politicians enlivening the air with their promises and/or excuses.

Celebrating birthdays, whether one’s own or that of someone else is fun. It’s important to mark the milestones in one’s life with special emphasis. The older we get, the longer we live and the greater the achievement in doing so. However if I don’t take care of myself on the way to my milestones, once they have accumulated I may regret it if my health has deteriorated. It’s important that Stephen and I get enough exercise, eat foods that are healthy and nourishing, and make sure we have enough sleep. That way we really have something to celebrate every year when our birthdays come around.

May you enjoy celebrating your special day.

Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert

PS How do you like to celebrate your birthday? Do ou do anything special? Love to hear, and I so enjoy it when readers share their idea and thoughts.

Solstice Rituals

* Bathe in the light of the sun ~ Visit a beach, pool, or park and bathe in the light of the sun for 15-20 minutes. The perfect amount of time to get your vitamin D and enjoy the power of the warmth and joy the sun offers.

* Get crafty ~ Making a flower crown on the summer solstice is a traditional way to celebrate. Wined the stems of flowers around a crown of wire. Intertwine the stems and line the flower heads up along the outside of the wire crown. Try using flowers with a variety of colors and textures.

* Make a solstice lantern. With a mason jar, glue or tape a variety of color strips of tissue paper, (or just use yellow) around the outside of the jar. Place a candle inside and light it when you are ready!

Sacred Spirit: Solstice Blessing

“O brightest day of Litha’s light,
I come to honor in circle, bright
With light of new beginnings grow,
and sunlight during summer’s glow
With midday-summer passing by
Till fall and winter time, anigh
I honor light by candle’s flame,
To praise each day in summer’s name
To rise as sunlight does each day,
And offer joy on journey’s way”

Everything Is in Divine Order
By Madisyn Taylor

It is during the most difficult times that we need to trust and find solace that, in fact, things are in divine order.
We can only see so much from where we sit in our particular bodies, in the midst of our particular lives, rooted as we are in the continuum of space and time. The divine, on the other hand, is not limited to the constructs of either space or time, and its wisdom and workings often elude us as we try to make sense of what is happening in our lives. This is why things are not always what they seem to be and even the best-laid plans are sometimes overturned. Even when we feel we have been guided by our intuition every step of the way, we may find ourselves facing unexpected loss and disappointment. At times like these, we can find some solace in trusting that no matter how bad or just plain inexplicable things look from our perspective, they are, in fact, in divine order.

Even as we take our places in this earthly realm, a part of us remains completely free of the confines we face here. Regardless of what is happening in our lives, this part of us remains infused with joy and gratitude, connected to the unbroken source from which we come. Our small self, on the other hand, who is caught up in our false identity as a being limited in space and time, regards happiness as the result of things going the way it wants them to go. It is this part of us that suffers the greatest confusion and upset when the logic of events does not compute. And it is to this self that we must extend unconditional love, forgiveness, and compassion. In order to do this, we tap into our inner divinity, holding the space of a tender authority, extending love and light to our ego as a mother extends her love to a troubled child.

There are many ways to access our inner divinity–meditation, prayer, chanting, channeling, and conscious breathing, to name a few. It is helpful to develop a regular practice that provides us access to this all-powerful, healing presence, as it can be difficult to reach once we are in a stressful position, if we have not already established a connection. The more connected we are with this part of ourselves, the more we share its unlimited vision and the secure, knowing that all the things of our life, no matter how they appear, are in a state of divine and perfect order.

Harry and Bessie at Proud Snout #2

The Proud Snout Retirement Community was located on the old Snout Estate situated on Boston’s the prestigious North Shore, between Beverly and Gloucester. It was mid afternoon when Bessie and Harry arrived to see the cottage that could be theirs. The community was located a stone’s throw from the shore. Harry could hear the surf thrashing against the rocks. He sniffed the dank scent of rotted seaweed. His eyes watered and he began to sneeze.
Sarah Kerns, an eager young hospitality hostess anxious to show them around and answer any questions, greeted them. She was stout with thick dark hair, horned rimmed glasses, and what Harry termed an honest face. She led them toward a cottage that overlooked the parking lot. ‘Well, here we are. This is the model I think you wished to see,” she said cheerfully.
As they stood looking at it, the cottage didn’t appear as roomy as the brochure seemed to indicate. “Come on in,” Sarah said, opening the front door.
“I’d like to see the kitchen,” Bessie said.
“Certainly,” Sarah said, her smile nicely in place. She led the way to a small, undistinguished hallway in the back of the cottage. It held a counter, a cupboard or two and not much else. Bessie eyed the kitchen or lack thereof.” No stove? No refrigerator?”
“We here at the Snout find stoves passé. Who at your age Mrs. Silva really wants to bother with cooking? But when you do,” she pointed to a small rectangular box with blinking lights; “we equip each cottage with a state of the art microwave.” She pointed to a hotel sized ‘fridge. “And a cold chest here, unobtrusive and sufficient. No need to consume energy storing food we’d best not eat. You see we here at the Snout take pride in eating less and living longer.”
Bessie looked at the microwave and frowned. “That’s smaller than my jewelry box.”
“Oh,” Sarah seemed surprised. “It’s the perfect size for a minute steak or even,” she wrinkled her nose, “a grilled cheese.”
“So residents don’t do much of their own cooking,” Harry said. He dabbed a tissue over his watery eyes.
Sarah smiled knowingly. “Most residents dine happily either in our bistro or dining room. She waved two menus from the counter. Harry noticed a cup of coffee was five dollars.
Bessie frowned. “It’s not as roomy as I had thought,” Bessie said. “I don’t see much cupboard space or shelves.”
Sarah smiled her ever present smile. “You’ll find Mrs. Silva that simplicity is such a gift.” She nodded knowingly. “Here at the Snout we specialize in freedom to move.”
Bessie looked confused. “But everything seems so much smaller than I had thought, at least judging from the brochure.”
Sarah drew her lips together in a sympathetic pout. “Oh my dear Mrs. Silva,” she said, “too much space only attracts dust. Simple living prompts greater longevity. What isn’t here isn’t needed and what is fits in perfectly.”
Bessie sighed and nodded. She’d heard that rationale before. “Yes,” she said. “I guess none of us need as much as we think we do.”
“Exactly.” Sarah nodded and the smile was back. She led them into the master bedroom.
Harry frowned. “That’s a king sized bed?” he said.
Sarah smiled and nodded wisely. “This is our bungalow snuggler. It’s state of the art-very up to date like everything else here at the Snout. It’s an extremely smart bed with an IQ said be to higher than any of ours. It just knows by your movements exactly when and how to form fit to you to make for perfect sleep posture”
Harry sat on it. “This mattress feels like a board”
“Harry knows a lot about mattresses,” Bessie said. “He’s a real pro when it comes to getting people into bed.”
Sarah eyed Harry, her smile firmly in place. “That’s so good to hear Mrs. Silva, and so special for you I’m sure.”
“We’d like to bring our own furniture,” Harry said staunchly.
“You’d want to do that?” Her smile fell with her voice. “Oh I suppose if you must. It’s so difficult letting go of one’s past.” She raised her eyebrows. “You see our credo here at Proud Snout is new beginnings. That enables greater freedom and opportunity in all ways.”
“Opportunity for what?” Harry asked. “Seems to me people come here when they don’t have much to do anyway.”
“Oh don’t pay any attention to my husband,” Bessie said. “I know exactly what you mean Sarah.” She took Harry’s hand. “And I wouldn’t mind having to do a lot less cooking.” She smiled lovingly at him. “We’d stay a lot more trim that way and of course Harry, we could dine out whenever we wanted.”
“Let’s see the rest of the cottage,” Sarah urged, leading them into the living room. A gigantic seventy plus inch TV dominated the far wall. Across from it a velvet couch seemed insignificant by comparison. Two austere straight back chairs overlooking the parking lot waited patiently.
“Nice TV,” Harry smiled. For a brief moment he envisioned himself sprawled on the couch watching Red Sox or Patriot games.
“And what am I supposed to be doing while you monopolize the TV,” Bessie said. “At least at home I’ve room to move around when I want to.”
The smile was back. Harry wondered idly if they were her real teeth or a replacement. “Oh Mrs. Silva,” Sarah purred, tactfully rebutting Bessie’s argument. “You could be moving about to your heart’s content enjoying our state of the art health facility. We offer massage, a fine assortment of exercise machines, an indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub all for one nominal additional monthly fee.”
“That’s wonderful,” Bessie sighed. “Oh Harry I know if we lived here we’d both be in such good shape.”
“Not much alternative to that,” Harry said. “There’s not all that much to do but exercise.”
“Oh, no, no, no,” Sarah said. “We’ve a full array of members activities from knitting to great books, art to modern dance. You see everything here at the Snout is calibrated to prompt a healthy existence.”
“Can we see the bathroom?” Harry asked.
“Of course,” Sarah led the way. “Conveniently located just beside the bedroom.” She pointed to a small bathroom containing, a shower, a sink and a toilet but no tub.
“Small,” Harry said, “no tub either.”
“Oh yes,” Sarah nodded. “Best way to prevent mold, and of course accidents.”
“We’ll have to think all this over,” Harry said. He gave Sarah his best Rotarian smile. Bessie’s face fell.
Sarah handed them several coupons. “In order to help you two to decide I’d like to offer you a free night plus dinner and breakfast here at the Snout. That way too you could get to know some of the other residents.”
Bessie’s face brightened. “Oh that’s wonderful,” Bessie said. “I’d like that. Wouldn’t you Harry?”
Harry nodded. “Sure when?”
“Why tonight,” Sarah said briskly. “You two could stay right here. Get to know the true comforts here at Proud Snout. She consulted her watch. “We’ll be starting dinner soon. Let me walk you to our clubhouse and dining room.”
“But we didn’t bring anything,” Harry said.
“Oh just enjoy the ambiance of togetherness.” She gave Bessie an imperceptible wink. “You can always pick up something fun to wear to bed in our gift shop.” She smiled. “Perhaps for you two tonight will be a night to remember.”

Doing for Others
By Madisyn Taylor

In doing service for others, we often find answers to our own questions and solutions to our own problems.

When we feel bad, often our first instinct is to isolate ourselves and focus on what’s upsetting us. Sometimes we really do need some downtime, but many times the best way to get out of the blues quickly is to turn our attention to other people. In being of service to others, paradoxically, we often find answers to our own questions and solutions to our own problems. We also end up feeling more connected to the people around us, as well as empowered by the experience of helping someone.

When we reach out to people we can help, we confirm that we are not alone in our own need for support and inspiration, and we also remind ourselves that we are powerful and capable in certain ways. Even as our own problems or moods get the better of us sometimes, there is always someone else who can use our particular gifts and energy to help them out. They, in turn, remind us that we are not the only people in the world with difficulties or issues. We all struggle with the problems of life, and we all feel overwhelmed from time to time, but we can almost always find solace in service.

In the most ideal situation, the person we are helping sheds light on our own dilemma, sometimes with a direct piece of advice, and sometimes without saying anything at all. Sometimes just the act of getting our minds out of the obsessive mode of trying to figure out what to do about our own life does the trick. Many great inventors and artists have found that the inspiration they need to get to the next level in their work comes not when they’re working but when they’re walking around the block or doing dishes. We do ourselves and everyone else a great service when we take a break from our sorrows and extend ourselves to someone in need.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

As somebody who likes to get things done, few things are more infuriating than contending with individuals or situations that involve pointless details. Irritating as these are, what you learn in the process of gathering that information, and who you meet, will prove rewarding. So much that you`ll soon exchange those feelings of exasperation for excitement about those insights and how you`ll benefit.

If you`ve argued with a loved one, it is time to talk about what happened. Sit down together and discuss the issue as calmly as possible. If someone you care for has recently walked out and you`re missing them, follow the impulse to pick up the phone and ask to meet over coffee. If you leave it too long before trying to make amends, they might find someone new. A friend or colleague will introduce you to someone who radiates confidence and charisma. Their flair for drama will capture your imagination.

Your ruling planet, Mars, may be retrograde but it`s unlikely that you are! Friday`s Last Quarter Moon is in your sign and it`s probable that there is unfinished business you`re determined to resolve. The week though could be marred by a conflict of interests. If in business partnership you could engage in a good cop – bad cop routine. If employed, the situation is rather different: persuading someone that they could trim the budget or do things better could test all your powers of persuasion. Before Friday though, it`s probable you`ll have garnered considerable support and perhaps even persuaded someone (a Scorpio?) that your ideas are sound. You could advance your case considerably by putting together basic facts covering the last couple of years which show clearly that had your ideas been followed then, costs could have been trimmed.

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Having already thought through decisions involving your way of living, working or both, the last thing you`d welcome are changes in circumstances. Disruptive as these are, they`re golden opportunities, although temporarily unrecognisable. If you can`t say yes, just don`t say no, at least until the end of the week, when you`ll not only learn more, what comes to light will win you over, fully and unconditionally.

You can`t possibly accept all the invitations coming your way, but some friends may be offended if you turn their offers down. You will need to be careful when wording your explanation. The easiest way to phrase it is that it`s impossible to be in two places at once and you`ve already made arrangements for that date. At work the accent is on team work and togetherness. You might see a different side to a colleague`s nature when you find yourself in their company more often.

It`s probable you will give considerable attention to presentation and to your environment. It may be that an area needs a refresh or coat of paint or that a website would benefit from a makeover. The energy with which your approach these issues before the Last Quarter Moon on Friday might create some anxiety in those born under one of the Air signs of Gemini, Libra or Aquarius who may wonder if you`re focused too much on design and less on content. Note that on Friday, a key aspect involving Uranus (now travelling through your sign) suggests that you will be high profile. Indeed, it might even be that you`re taken to a place of considerable luxury where you are complemented on your efforts.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Since the pivotal Gemini New Moon, in mid-June, you`ve remade decisions several times. While each incorporated worthwhile ideas, you`ll soon need to settle on something lasting. You will, but probably not until next week, when powerful planetary indicates that unruly plans will be decided and, equally, indecisive individuals will finally commit, and properly. Better yet, you`ll finally be able to think about the future.

Feeling at ease with yourself is important for your health and well-being. If you`re tense and nervous about all you have to do, it may be necessary to reduce some of your commitments. Don`t worry about all your responsibilities. Let people know you`re struggling to keep on top of everything and one way or another things will get done. You might feel you are going to have to make some changes. Your family and friends will understand if you can justify your reasons.

Just slightly ahead of the Last Quarter Moon on Friday, your ruling planet Mercury opposes Mars. It`s possible that a war of words has been brewing for some time and that much has to be aired before you can move forward. The nervous strain of not saying anything may by then be too much for you. True, it might appear that your efforts are not being recognised. The support you need to move on likely requires appreciation of all you`ve given in the last few years. You might also benefit from a comprehensive health review: in particular, assessing whether or not you are becoming vitamin or mineral deficient. It may be that this is something that could be put right during the July and August eclipse period. It`s just possible that a Virgo colleague will feel you`re giving too much attention to these health matters. This though, could be a case of the pot calling the kettle.

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Life would be a lot easier if you could make future plans. Or so you think. Actually, the more flexible both your arrangements and your thinking are, between now and the potentially life-changing Cancer eclipsed New Moon, on the 13th, the better positioned you`ll be to take advantage of the breakthroughs it promises. Some will be no surprise, but others will be as unexpected as they are thrilling.

A friend or neighbour expects you to lie for them.. You don`t like refusing their requests but think about the likely consequences if you did go along with their plans. This could get you in trouble in the future. Refuse to do anything that goes against your conscience and leave it to them to sort out their own affairs. Take an opportunity to network and attend as many conferences and social gatherings as possible. Forming new friendships will be rewarding.

Friday`s Last Quarter Moon could mark a rite of passage. It may be important to you to have certain loose ends tied up by then. The good news is that recognition of your recent contribution to either an arts or creative project may be such that others want to celebrate with you. Before then, you could experience tension whilst dealing with either travel or administrative issues. With Mars now retrograde until late August – when it stations in your opposite sign, – there`s high probability of you being involved in an archiving or historical project. This is perhaps a variation on tidying up those loose ends. In the process, you could be taken aback by the realisation that certain colours and scents no longer have the effect that they once did and for now at least, you need to be surrounded by colours that are vibrant and scents that are vaguely exotic.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Challenging as recent situations were, they gave you good reason to delve into and discuss problems as persistent as they`ve been puzzling. Now that you`re better informed, you`re in a position to gather facts and, that done, formulate a plan to deal with these, once and for all. While this requires being patient, probably until mid-August`s Leo eclipsed New Moon, the results will be worth waiting for.

You are deliberating over making an important decision. No matter what area of your life this relates to, it will affect your family and a close relationship. There is someone you wish you could approach for advice but for some reason, you don`t want to let them know about what is going on. This is a choice you have to make by yourself. A proposition is appealing but there will be conditions if you accept this offer and you need to be prepared to accept the consequences.

Mars is now retrograde in your opposite sign. It might seem to you that others are either rethinking or potentially about to go back on their word. A war of words is probable by Thursday. Yet it`s as likely that a certain person is coming around to your way of thinking. Property or asset management may well be involved. A fresh approach could be taken around Friday`s Last Quarter Moon. It might help to be aware that with both Mercury and Venus moving through your sign, your need to see that your opinions are being given adequate attention is even greater than usual. Even if you don`t quite know what it is that you do want, you perhaps need acknowledgement that you are thinking carefully through options. Being central to drama seems more likely than not. Note that there is another solar eclipse in your sign in August. It`s very likely that you`re preparing to change direction and like a caterpillar, need time to retreat into your cocoon, – wriggling a little before emerging as a butterfly in a few weeks` time.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

During recent weeks, the problem hasn`t been circumstances or your own plans but that, in several situations, you`ve been unable to speak freely about your ideas and various concerns. Obviously, this has kept you from proceeding with certain arrangements. Frustrating as this has been, it`s forced you to focus on options that, otherwise, you`d never have considered. What you`ve learnt will shape the coming weeks` decisions.

A friend keeps grumbling about their love life. If you are fond of their partner, you will need to be careful about any advice you offer. You will prefer not to get involved in other people`s relationship problems but if you can think of a way to distract them and take their mind off their problems, it will make life easier for you, too. Once you`ve made a difficult choice about a work-related matter, you will be able to relax and know you have chosen wisely.

Much may be going on behind the scenes. It`s entirely possible that a major deal will be struck around Friday`s last quarter moon. The speed with which this takes place over Thursday and Friday could be astonishing – especially given that the start of the week could bring a small cascade of apparent administrative difficulties. Arguing your case will surely be necessary. Yet given your gift for precision and attention to detail by Thursday you could knock someone over with your plans. In fact, is not at all impossible that at the last quarter moon you will be described as having genius potential. This will surely apply particularly to anything that`s design related; but it might take a few weeks yet to incubate one project, it`s probable that by your birthday this deal to will be secured.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

If your instincts say it`s vital you speak up about certain matters, plans and even tense alliances – personal or at work – trust them. Aim to get concerns settled, and plans or arrangements made, before the week`s close, when powerful planetary activity begins a tricky, month-long, cycle. True, you`ll probably need to rethink things later. Still, for now and the near future, you`ll know what`s what.

Your attention is divided between domestic and job commitments. You might feel this is the least fun week you`ve experienced so far this year but don`t worry. It won`t be long before obligations you aren`t enjoying are over. If you have some qualms about a personal aim, the end of the week is a good time to seek a close friend`s moral support. Their encouragement will help you feel more confident about what you are about to do.

Friday`s Last Quarter Moon is in your opposite sign. There is strong possibility that something that been incubating over the last couple of years will at last arrive at its final phase prior to completion. The pace at which all this occurs could astound you. Early in the week you might not believe that such action is possible. Indeed, through until Wednesday, it might seem that you are handicapped by others not appreciating the urgency of a situation. That they`ve not only grasped this, but have been working diligently in the background to resolve the situation could come as quite a surprise. Whilst work matters will no doubt require much attention, what`s going on within the family may be as important. The needs of someone born under either Sagittarius or Pisces might need to be taken into account – particularly if they are approaching a key stage in their career development. It may be that there is something to celebrate before the weekend and that though perhaps little can be done until September, that there will be a sense of things at last moving forward.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Few things annoy you more than having to justify your life choices or decisions to anybody, from family and friends to those in professional settings. Yet recently you`d have to do that often and, in the process, spotted issues you`d hadn`t previously noticed. This is your opportunity to review these and, where necessary, rethink arrangements or, perhaps, consider major changes. The timing couldn`t be better.

Take another look at a financial problem that has so far defied solution. Talk it over with an expert who respects the confidentiality of these conversations. Their advice will help you see there is an angle you never considered before, and a stressful situation can be eased if you`re willing to accept help. It may be up to you to arrange a get together within your community. Everyone seems to be looking forward to this event, but no one is very eager to get it organised.

Later this week, and just ahead of Friday`s Last Quarter Moon, the Sun makes brilliant aspect to Jupiter (presently travelling through your sign). Your star quality should shine through. This should work particularly well if involved in any kind of test or examination. That same day, Mercury opposes Mars across the backbone of this same chart. This is where your particular genius should shine through. Any competitive instincts will also likely surface. It`s not necessary on this occasion for you to win, but for you to exceed a personal best. Competing against yourself seems likely. Toward the end of the week, and following on from considerable diligence applied between Monday and Wednesday, you could also agree a deal. Indeed, around this Last Quarter Moon you could either drive a hard bargain or find one. Be prepared too, for your particular talents to be singled out by someone who feels that these could be explored further from September.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

You rarely think of it, but even when the going is tough, you rely on your amazing timing and extraordinary good luck. Sometimes, things work out better than you`d imagined. Yet now you`re being forced to seriously review dull matters, such as finances or tedious responsibilities. Tempting as it is to sidestep this, it`s not only in your best interests, the resulting insights will prove astonishingly valuable.

Your natural fiery temperament might clash with someone who also has a passionate nature. This relationship fills you with excitement and every time you plan to meet, you look forward to some stimulating conversations. Are you single? Love could grow if you spend more time in the company of someone who keeps you mentally on the ball. At home, you may need to be prepared to meet others half way. Even if it is inconvenient for you, it`s important to compromise.

With the Sun making key aspect to your ruling planet, Jupiter, your social life could go into overdrive. Networking may be particularly important. Yet it`s also possible that you`ll have considerable contact with someone who is passing through and who wants to acknowledge an anniversary. If this coincides with the Last Quarter Moon on Friday 6th, this could be an extra special time. It`s said that those of your sign are at their best when mentally challenged. It certainly seems likely that though be much to debate this week. Until Wednesday however, you could experience tension with an Aquarius who might seem to you to be inflicting emotional blackmail. Though they are unlikely to be successful, their antics might not bring out the best in you.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Although there`s no arguing the obstacles you`ve faced recently were unfair, you`re also aware they`ve freed you from certain increasingly restrictive arrangements. So, while, logically, you`d fight to keep these going, you`re waiting and watching. Not only is that wise, with the eclipse, on the 13th, shaking things up and leading to breakthroughs, many thrilling but unexpected, the more flexible your position is, the better.

You`ve always been a stickler for routine, but you secretly yearn now, for something new, different and energising. Give yourself a push to break out of a self-imposed rut. A cautious friend will imply it is not in your best interests to seek a change in direction. Doubts they put into your mind could undermine your better judgement. Listen to your heart and throw caution to the wind. Making changes to your home life or career will feel refreshing.

Friday`s Last Quarter Moon is in another of the Cardinal signs. It accents the very base of your solar chart with the implications for developments within the family and domestic scene. A strong possibility is that someone moving on into further education, will require your input and advice now as they make choices. The challenge for you at work may be to find ways to both meet a deadline and incorporate a design that brings with it technical challenge. It may be that a budget is insufficiently flexible. At a different level entirely – and most interestingly, – someone who was clearly interested in you and your work earlier in the year, could enquire again as to your availability post-September.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

Recent perplexing events, if not setbacks, have you wondering if plans need to be rethought. That`s probably wise; but for now, focus on what might change or go. This enables you to wait for the events, some dramatic and others unexpected, kicked off by the powerful Aquarius eclipsed Full Moon on 27 July. Between that, and your own evolving priorities, things could be very different indeed.

A partner or close friend`s constant demands are stopping you doing what you want to do. You need greater freedom in your personal life but don`t be tempted to end a relationship. Between you, there is a way to find a compromise. The romantic path you are on could be the right one even if at the moment you doubt this. It`s not easy to give people news that might upset or disappointment them but there is something someone in the family needs to know about.

Tension might well build with Mars retrograde in your sign. By Thursday Mercury opposes this Mars position. You may well be challenged. Actually, you could know from Monday that this is going to be the case. Presenting sound and well-thought-out arguments seems to be the dominant theme. Bear in mind that Friday is a Last Quarter Moon when projects that have developed over the last couple of years come to their final phase. It could be argued that this would be a good time to sit a test or examination. As importantly, changes both within your neighbourhood and family could also shake your foundations. However, through one of these connections and at a social event, you could connect with someone whose interest in your career is considerable. It may be that over the next few weeks they seek to learn more about your revised long-term goals.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

While you can live with uncertainty for a long time, you`ve faced weeks of often exciting but, also, unsettling events. Finally, things come together, the turning point being the Sun`s spectacular link with your ruler Neptune, on the 8th. After that, both circumstances and your priorities will be clearer, enough you`ll be confident enough to make dramatic changes or embrace unexpected ideas of offers.

An increase in neighbourhood activities keeps you busy during the evenings and weekend. If someone asks you to take charge of a committee, think about accepting. Most people will be receptive to your ideas and they`ll value your ability to find creative solutions to problems. Plus, taking on a leadership role could give you a lot of pleasure. Travel plans play an important part in a close relationship when you will either be booking a holiday or planning a journey.

You likely won`t be the only sign to try to complete a clearing up operation before Friday`s Last Quarter Moon. The difference in your case is that you may have more support than others and indeed, on Thursday feel as though you have an unseen army working on your behalf. It is though, probable that you will be caught up in some kind of drama before the weekend. This could revolve around a challenge to someone`s expertise. Perhaps their qualifications are not exactly what they`ve implied. Of course, the other possibility is that there is nothing wrong with their qualifications but that they`ve assumed they can do more than they can. Though challenged to find fresh ways of working – which might not actually be found until late August, – you could nevertheless develop excellent rapport with those born under the sign of Leo who truly values your opinions and suggestions.
