Llewellyn’s Spell a Day

Good Fortune
Spell Date: Sunday, June 3, 2018
Color of the day: Yellow
Incense of the day: Heliotrope
It’s important to see our prosperity both in real life and in our minds. Go online and copy or print the Chinese symbol for prosperity and happiness on a piece of green paper and tuck it in your checkbook. Go to a craft store and find stickers of money and things that mean prosperity to you. Stick them on your computer, on your mirrors, and anyplace else where you will see them easily and often.

Go to the bank and get a silver dollar ( preferably from the year of your birth), a silver Susan B. Anthony dollar, or a gold Sacagawea dollar—or all three. Carry at least one of these in your wallet—don’t spend it!—or in your pocket. If you can get more than one of each, set them on your altar.

As you go about your days, be conscious of your prosperity, and don’t waste your money!

Magic Radio
Spell Date: Saturday, June 2, 2018
Color of the day: Gray
Incense of the day: Ivy
On this day back in 1896, Guglielmo Marconi applied for a patent for his invention, the radio. Now, when most people think of divination (telling the future), they think of tarot cards and ouija boards and other magical tools. Did you know that you can actually use ordinary things, such as your radio, to bring you messages from other realms?

Perhaps you’ve lost a loved one, and it seems that every time you think of this person, their favorite song comes on the radio. That’s not a coincidence! Try using your radio when seeking answers to things as they’re unfolding. Simply form the question in your mind, turn on your radio, and let the next song played provide your answer. You might be very surprised at the appropriateness of the results!

A Morning Scrying Spell
Spell Date: Friday, June 1, 2018
Color of the day: Rose
Incense of the day: Thyme
June mornings are like pearls: they’re lustrous, almost ethereal. The mist from the night before lingers over ponds and rivers, and the hills aren’t completely visible yet. Slowly the mist lifts like a curtain rising to start a new day.

A June morning is a good time to scry outdoors using water. To do this, find a body of water. It could be a pond, river, or birdbath. First, toss a pebble into the water. Let the ripples represent time itself, always moving. When ready, begin to scry. Think of a specific question, or be open to all images you see. When done, return to an everyday state of awareness and begin your day. Now you’ll be more aware of your surroundings—the morning birdsong, the breeze on your skin, and the creation of a new day.

Flowers of May
Spell Date: Thursday, May 31, 2018
Color of the day: Green
Incense of the day: Apricot
Catholicism dedicates this day to honoring the Virgin Mary. A common observance includes bedecking statues of her with floral garlands. Celebrations can be much more elaborate, such as processions in the Philippines where schoolchildren scatter flower petals and sing and chant prayers to her.

Many Pagans view Mary as simply another manifestation of the Goddess. To celebrate Flores de Mayo, or the “flowers of May,” garland a Goddess image of your own, in any of her forms (Mary or otherwise!). Perhaps provide her with some incense and offerings and give thanks to the Great Mother and offer her prayers. Be creative in your expression: sing, dance, drum, chant—however your spirit moves you. Just be sure on this day to offer her the requisite beautiful flowers! Remember, any day is a good day to honor the Great Mother, in any of her forms. Blessed be.

Honest Abe’s Problem-Solving Penny
Spell Date: Wednesday, May 30, 2018
Color of the day: White
Incense of the day: Honeysuckle
The Lincoln Memorial was dedicated on this day in 1922. Since then, folks visit Honest Abe’s marble doppelganger not only to commemorate the man, but to tell him their troubles in the hope of getting some divine inspiration. You may not be able to travel to Washington, DC, today, but everyone has access to a penny.

Hold your coin ( perhaps significantly dated) and gaze at Lincoln, a man known for his honesty and dedication to freedom and for being a person who spoke with spirit(s). Visualize your issue and whisper it into the penny’s energy-drawing copper. Carry the penny with you and look for signs, symbols, and serendipitous happenings that will reveal your answers. Once you get them, take the penny and bury it or toss it into running water.

A May Full Moon Love Spell
Spell Date: Tuesday, May 29, 2018
Color of the day: Scarlet
Incense of the day: Cinnamon
It’s spring and love is in the air. This love spell uses pansies and almonds, two powerful love-attracting ingredients. Combine them with a May full moon and you have a powerful love spell. Follow the instructions in the following verse, and see if love comes to you.

On a May eve when the moon is round,
Go to a quiet garden where pansies can be found.
Think of love and pick a small bouquet,
Set them by your bed where your head will lay.
Secretly, beneath your pillow place nine almonds,
Dream a prophetic dream to see if love will come.
Each morn for the next nine days,
Consume one almond, let love find its way.
And when this spell is done,
May the universe bring to you that special one.

Paradigm Shift
Spell Date: Monday, May 28, 2018
Color of the day: Silver
Incense of the day: Hyssop
I grew up thinking I hated hockey because I was always forced to go to the rink. It was cold, loud, and boring there.

Many years later, I housed a sweet young man who played on a high-end local hockey team. He begged me to come and see him play. I went because I liked him. As I watched him play, and recognized the multiple, high-level neurological skills involved, I fell in love with hockey. I realized that if I could experience a complete paradigm shift like this with one thing that I held to be “true,” then quite possibly it could happen for other things.

Today, open yourself to the possibility of opposites: yin and yang, hot and cold, true and not true. Ask your higher self if there’s anything you need to see the other side of. And with this asking, allow for the possibility of a paradigm shift.

Heartwings Love Notes 129 Judge Not, Or Else

Heartwings says, “When we judge another it says something about us too.”

My parents taught me much by their example. My father served in many capacities as a volunteer. He was generous with his time, talents and energy. He read for a radio station that serves the blind; he held for many years the position of treasurer for a non-profit orchestra; and he helped out in various capacities at the church to which he belonged. My mother was a thrifty, careful provider, a fine artist who valued creativity and encouraged it in others, and one who did her best to care for her family. However, they were prone to something else that I had to unlearn: they frequently passed judgment on others.

My father would point out mistakes of any kind with merciless statements like “You ought to know better than to do that,” or “How could you be so stupid as to…” usually in a scornful tone. My mother was very apt to point out faults in the appearance of others. I believe she had learned this from her own mother who was extremely focused on how she as well as her family appeared. As a result I grew to adulthood with a judgmental attitude both about any perceived weakness and any deviation from a traditionally attractive appearance whether that of others or of myself.

My attitudes seemed normal to me until I began to notice that not only were they unduly critical they also kept me from seeing those I judged in a more positive light. I realized they also said something about me as well as about how I viewed others. There is a saying to the effect that if you point one finger at someone else you are pointing three back at yourself. When I began to observe myself as I interacted with people, I also began to understand how unkind it was to look at others in a judgmental way. After this realization I began to learn to be merciful in the way I viewed others, and also the way I viewed myself. As I grew less critical and more forgiving, both of others and of myself I found I now was able to perceive previously hidden virtues where before I had seen only faults.

It is truly said that mistakes are given us as ways to learn, and that the only real negative concerning them is the failure to do so. I rejoice that I have been able to unlearn these harmful attitudes and instead practice a more merciful way of perceiving both others and myself. By their definition, judgments close the mind to any changes in how people and their behavior or appearance are seen. Being one who always wants to continue learning and growing I try to make sure that in the event I do find myself judging anyone that I immediately look beyond my original thought to become more open minded, less critical, and more merciful in my perception

May you find ways to move beyond any old ways of thinking that may no longer be of use to you.

Blessings and Best Regards, Tasha Halpert

Performing Daily Ceremony
By Madisyn Taylor

Having daily ritual or ceremony in our lives is very important to keep us connected to what really matters.
When we perform or participate in rituals and ceremonies, we enter into a state of mind that is different from mundane consciousness. Ranging in significance from bedtime stories to weddings, ceremonies and rituals are acknowledgments that an event or period of time has special meaning. As a result, they can have the effect of drawing us into the moment, inviting us to pay closer attention and tune into the subtle energies that are always present but that often go unrecognized. In addition, as we perform the same actions we have performed before and will perform again, we immerse ourselves in a river of continuity that extends back into the past and forward into the future.

Many of us have distanced ourselves from rituals that may have seemed too constricting or too attached to an organized religion we have chosen not to follow. However, we can reclaim the practices of ceremony and ritual to good effect, imbuing them with our new consciousness, and we do not have to wait for a big event to do it. We can engage in daily practices that include ritual and ceremony, reminding ourselves throughout the day of the sacredness of this life.

In fact, if we look closely, we will see that our days are already made up of rituals, from the time we wake up to the time we retire. So we do not need to change anything except our perspective to imbue our day with an air of ceremony.

Most of our daily rituals revolve around nourishing and cleansing, both of which have always been sacred acts. With this in mind, we may pause before each meal, close our eyes, and say a silent thank you to the universe that provides. If we want to get more elaborate, we can light candles or bless our food. Similarly, as we wash ourselves in the morning and evening, we can choose to see the grace in this act of cleansing and purification as we release what has past and prepare ourselves for the new. We can be as simple or as complex as we like, so long as our attitude is one of reverence for this sacred moment in this sacred life.

Stephen Halpert
The Cat From Tomorrow, 5 Conclusion

In the parking lot of Wiggles Market, yowling cats covered the windshield, the hood and the rear window of Smith and Jones’ SUV. Inside Jones was trying to turn the ignition
“Drive away,” Smith said. “Let’s get out of here!”
“How can I?” Jones said. “It won’t turn over and I can’t see a thing!”
“So drive anyway, maybe it’ll shake them off.”
“I don’t want to hit another car! We’re undercover, not insured for something like that.”
“So start anyway,” Smith’s voice was calmer than he felt. “Maybe it will discourage or frighten them away.”
But no matter how hard Jones tried, the motor wouldn’t turn over. He sat back in his seat and pounded on the steering wheel.
Beth and Greg stood looking at the SUV. It began to rock from the impact of the cats. The stench from the substance the agents had sprayed in the market pervaded the parking lot. Beth held a tissue to her nose. “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry,” she said. “Those poor kitties.”
Greg shook his head. “Whatever they sprayed has had a very powerful effect on those cats,” he said.
Smith pulled out his device and began punching in numbers. His face reddened and he shook it, as if he could make it do something it wouldn’t do. “No reception,” he growled. “What’s going on here anyway?”
“Look!” Jones said, “Over there,” he pointed.
Mookie, his tail high in the air, strolled across the parking lot toward Beth and Greg.
Smith grabbed the door handle to try to get out. Nothing happened. Shrieking, howling, and clinging to every part of it, cats almost covered the door. He pulled out his pistol.
“Don’t!” Jones cried. “You might hit someone. Besides, a massacre of cats would be more than the agency could hush up.”
Beth noticed Mookie too. “Look,” she said, pointing. “I’m so glad he’s all right.” She held out her hands toward him, but like a typical cat he ignored her and continued his stroll across the parking lot.
An animal rescue van, followed by several police cars with sirens blaring, pulled into Wiggles parking lot. Three men wearing protective clothing climbed out of the van and surveyed the scene. After one sniff, they rummaged the back of the van and found something to cover their eyes and noses. The two police officers emerged from their cruiser did the same. The manager from Wiggles Market emerged from that building and headed toward them.
“I’m glad Chuck called the police,” Beth said to Greg. “Federal agents or not those two have no business stinking up the place and causing such a disturbance.”
Greg nodded. “I don’t like people like those two taking the law into their own hands.”
Chuck came over to Beth and Greg. “My market smells like an enormous pot party. Now all we need is for Mr. Wiggles to decide to pay us a visit.”
“Oh dear,” Beth said. “That would be terrible.”
The three men from the van hoisted tanks over their shoulders and began spraying the cats with a solution mixed in water. Some, as though determined to get in still clung stubbornly to the SUV. Others scampered off as the men approached and seemed headed for nearby homes.
The two police officers came over to the manager. “Officers Carlson and Wright here,” one said. “What’s going on?”
Chuck gestured toward the SUV. “Those two men came into my store and began spraying that vile stuff around.”
The officers both nodded and looked toward the SUV. “Do you know who they are?” Carlson said.
“No ideal,” Chuck replied. “This is very upsetting,” he scrubbed his hand across his forehead.
“We’ll take care of this,” said Wright The two men turned and headed toward the SUV.
Smith looked at Jones. “Perhaps we ought to leave now.”
Jones shook his head. “No, we’re here on legitimate government business. Besides that Siamese cat is an alien.”
As the officers approached, Smith and Jones got out of the SUV waving their badges and credentials. “Federal agents,” Smith said.
“Sure thing,” Carlson said, taking their papers and glancing at them. “What agency did you say you were from? And what is that I smell? You boys a little stoned?”
“Just catnip,” Jones said offhandedly. “Special detail. Department of Domestic Security.”
“That’s a new one to me,” Wright said. “You boys just stay right here, keep your hands in sight and don’t make any sudden moves.” He patted them both down and took Smith’s pistol from his holster. “We’re going to search your vehicle for drugs and related paraphernalia.”
Meanwhile all the cats had departed the parking lot and the three men in protective clothing began putting away their gear. Mookie was nowhere in sight. Beth looked for him and tapped Greg on the shoulder. “He’s disappeared again,” she said.
Carlson pulled several briefcases and some boxes from the SUV and placed them in one of the patrol car. “You’re coming with us,” said Wright.
Jones glared. “You’re making a big mistake. This is an ongoing undercover operation. Our agency is assigned directly to the Office of the President of the United States.”
“Who does that make you? The Lone Ranger and Tonto?” Carlson said.
“Being disrespectful will go against you and your Department,” Jones warned.”
Carlson turned to Wright. “Cuff them, read them their rights and take them to the lockup.”
“Please, read this first,” Smith said, handing an official looking document signed by the President.
“What’s this about?” asked Carlson.
“It is the function of our agency to eliminate uncertainty and to preserve and protect the heritage of our Constitution from foreign or alien intrusion. Otherwise we could be overwhelmed by uncertainty.”
“And smelling like druggies helps you conquer the enemy?” Wright asked.
“You’re making a real bad mistake,” Jones said. “The President won’t be pleased by your actions. That I can assure you.”
Carlson shook his head. “Your documents could be forgeries and you could be ready for psychiatric evaluation.”
Just then Mookie strolled into sight, looking smug. Jones shrieked and pointed: “There he is, that disappearing alien cat. The one we came here to get.” Smith started to turn to go after him but Wright clamped his arms firmly behind his back and snapped cuffs on him.
“That’s enough,” he said firmly. “You can tell your President that as far as I’m concerned he can go mix concrete. Into that squad car right now.” He gave him a push in the direction of the police vehicle and Carlson took Jones by the elbow and led him in the same direction.
Once they were installed in the back, Carlson spoke to Chuck. “We’ll see to it that any damages are recompensed or a least recorded,” he said. “We’ll probably take these two in for observation. We’ll make sure they don’t bother you again.”
“Thank you, Officer Carlson,” Chuck said. “See you in the morning,” he told Beth. “I’ve got some cleaning up to do.” He turned and headed back inside the market..
Beth felt Mookie rubbing against her ankles. She looked down and saw him and smiled.
“Best we keep him from the public eye,” Greg chuckled.
“Yes,” Beth said. “Come on, Mookie, let’s go home and give you some more of that smoked salmon. The Red Sox are on TV tonight, you’ll want to watch your namesake hit a few home runs.”

Indefinitely Wild Series: Skullcap {Scutellaria lateriflora}

by Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs

Also, Known As:

Blue Pimpernel
Blue Skullcap
Helmet Flower
Mad Dog
Virginia Skullcap

Skullcap is a herb that grows uncultivated in the marshy lands of Canada as well as in the northern and eastern parts of the United States. The herb is also found in other parts of the globe, including Southeast Asia. Skullcap has double-colored flowers that are blue and light purple. The root of the herb is fibrous and yellowish in color that branches out into a stem, which can be between one and three feet. These branches bear reverse, dented and ovate leaves that meet at the tips.

The skullcap is known by different names at different places and the most common among them are hoodwort, helmet flower as well as the mad-dog that has been included in the American medicine list since 1773. While a number of herbs belonging to the skullcap family are found in Asia, one of them is more prominent – S. baicalesnis Georgi. This herb has been in use in Europe as well as in China, where it is known as Huang quin, for years as a remedy for numerous disorders. All these plants have a number of familiar constituents; they differ in the manner they are used to treat ailments. While the aerial parts of skullcap are harvested during the flowering season, which occurs between August and September, in China, they use the plant roots known as Huang quin for therapeutic use.

Skullcap alone or when blended with roots of another herb known as valerian is an ideal tranquilizer. Individually as well as in combination with valerian roots, skullcap is beneficial in healing disorders like muscular contractions, jerks, and common tremors. In critical conditions, one may consume three capsules of both the herbs six times a day while the dosage is less in the case of minor ailments. In lesser symptoms, it is sufficient to take the one-and-a-half cup to half-a-cup of the herb extract depending on the condition of the disorder. The procedure to prepare the recipe is simple. Add one tablespoon of valerian root on low heat to one pint of simmering water and cover the appliance for three minutes. Next, combine two teaspoons of sliced and dehydrated skullcap herb. Cover the appliance and heat it for another 60 to 90 seconds. Keep the amalgamation on heat for another 40 minutes to prepare the potion.

Traditionally, skullcap is known to be an effective stimulant for the nervous organization, as the herb contains high-value ingredients for a sound nervous system. The herb is particularly effective in helping as well as escalating the nervous system when a person undergoes mental and physical stress and strain. In fact, skullcap is a time-tested medicine for all kinds of disturbed mental state, be it tension, anxiety, insomnia, neurasthenia, panic, headaches, fatigue, depression as well as melancholy. Skullcap’s ability to heal physical irregularities like convulsions, jerking muscles, epilepsy, wobbliness as well as heart trembles has been tested over the ages. Many experts have advocated the use of skullcap instead of applying the normal allopathic tranquilizers and medicines to cure depression. However, skullcap yields the best results when it is blended with other hormone stability thyme chaste tree or false unicorn root to heal PMS.

Skullcap is also beneficial in healing diseases like arthritis as it has anti-inflammatory properties. It is especially effective when stress and anxiety worsen arthritis in a patient. Among other uses, the herb is known to be beneficial in lowering high body temperatures, aid in the absorption of food intakes as well as rouse the operation of the liver. This is primarily owing to the presence of sour and bitter substances in the herb. In North America, skullcap has been traditionally used to heal patients suffering from a venomous snake bite and insect stings. In addition, the herb is also conventionally used in this part of the world to treat rabies, alleviate menstrual contractions as well as smooth sexual over-exhilaration.

Plant Parts Used:

Aerial parts, root.

Natural Remedies:

Skullcap has numerous uses, and these differ from place to place. For example, the Cherokee applied the herb mainly as a remedy for women disorders. It was traditionally used to rouse menstruation, alleviate chest soreness as well as stimulate the placenta eviction from the body. However, it was in the 19th century that the Physimedicalists, the Anglo-Americans who followed herbal medicine in that age, realized the use of the herb in healing nervous disorders. These physicians found that skullcap had a more penetrative action on the nervous system and was effective in healing disorders like epilepsy, spasms, frenzy, rabies as well as the mental infirmities, including schizophrenia.

These days, skullcap is predominantly consumed as a stimulant for the nervous system and its ability to heal the system. As mentioned earlier, skullcap is a herb that is extremely effective in the treatment of the nervous system as it is beneficial for soothing anxiety, stress, and worries. In fact, the ability of skullcap to control and rectify nervous irregularities makes it one of the most effective remedies for tension and anxiety that leads to muscular contractions. Physicians often recommend usage of skullcap individually or in combination with other tranquilizing herbal medicines to cure sleeplessness as well as for respite from menstrual pains. Scientists, as well as physicians, are of the opinion that there is a need for more studies into skullcap as this may bring to the fore other still unknown uses of the herb.

Sleep apnea
Temporomandibular joint syndrome or disorder / TMJ (TMD)

Habitat of Skullcap:

Skullcap is indigenous to North America and still breeds uncultivated in most parts of the United States as well as Canada. This herb grows better in humid circumstances and is mainly found along the riverbanks. In order to flourish, skullcap requires adequate sunlight. Cultivation of skullcap can be done in two ways – it can be germinated from seeds and even by root division. While the herb is cultivated in spring, the above-ground parts of 3 to 4-year-old skullcap plants are cropped during summer, when the plants are flowering.

Despite the fact that the plant has long been used as a herbal medicine both in North America as well as in Britain, so far little or no scientific study has been conducted on this class of Scutellaria. Scientists are of the opinion that skullcap endorses ingredients that are found in other members of the Scutellaria species. It has similarity with Baical skullcap (S. baicalensis) that has been studied intensely and has robust anti-seditious properties.

Flavonoids (scutellarin)
Bitter iridoids (catalpol)
Volatile oil

Usual Dosage:

Although it has been in use as a herbal medicine for long, there is no standard healing dosage of skullcap either in the United States or Europe. On the contrary, in China physicians use baicalin in 250 mg tablet form and prescribe two tablets thrice in a day as a remedy for viral hepatitis. It may be mentioned here that if taken in high dosage, skullcap may prove to be injurious to health.

Possible Side Effects and Precautions:

Although gulping standard measures of skullcap does not lead to any serious adverse effects in the body, when a person is administered an injection containing ingredients of S. baicalensis it may cause aches in the muscles and also raise the body temperature. While it may also lead to the reduced count of leukocyte in the body, many people have even complained of liver damage after being administered the injection. Since skullcap is known to damage the liver, it is advised that people should not intake the herb casually.

How Skullcap Works in the Body:

Intake of skullcap generally functions as a tranquilizer both for the body and the mind. While skullcap relaxes the physique and the over-excited muscles, it also helps to soothe the nervous system. Hence, skullcap is generally used to reduce stress and tension in the patients. Possibly owing to the presence of Scutellaria lateriflora straits, some skullcap is also known to have anti-allergic as well as anti-inflammatory properties. Scientists are, however, not yet certain about these functions of skullcap advocate further research on this. Incidentally, although there have been complaints of liver damage owing to the use of skullcap, a variety of the herb found in China is used to heal liver-related ailments like hepatitis. This skullcap is believed to help in the betterment of liver activities. Skullcap is also beneficial for women as it can be used to reduce ovarian or menstrual pains.

Aerial parts:

INFUSION – If you wish to overcome nervous tension or excitement, prepare a pleasant tea with fresh skullcap herb. Soon you will be relieved of all your anxiety, stress, and nervousness. It is also useful for women to overcome pre-menstrual strain. In addition, the aerial parts of skullcap are beneficial in healing lack of sleep. In order to cure insomnia, mix skullcap with wild lettuce or passion flower and consume the infusion before bedtime at night.

TINCTURE – Like the infusion, tincture preparation made from fresh skullcap too is beneficial for healing the agitated nerves. It also helps to reduce tension and anxiety. If you consume 5 ml of skullcap or blend it with 10 drops of lemon balm, it is an excellent remedy for all kinds of depression and nervousness.

DECOCTION – When skullcap is taken in with other bitter and sour herbs like Huang Lian or goldenseal, the combination is beneficial in rinse the high temperature from the gastric system, trunk (chest) and urinary disorders. The recipe also helps in curing jaundice, gastroenteritis, diarrhea, cystitis as well as bronchitis. When blended with other herbs like JU HUA, skullcap also helps in alleviating hypertension (high blood pressure).

Cutting Cords
By Madisyn Taylor

Sometimes the emotions we are feeling belong to the person we are in a connection with, and an energetic cord must be severed.
In every relationship, people are constantly exchanging energy that can become a chord connecting two people. This energetic cord forms just below the breastbone and can remain long after a relationship has ended. This unbroken cord may leave an open channel between you and another person, through which emotions and energy can continue to flow. If you are unaware that the chord exists, it is easy to feel the other person’s emotions and mistakenly think that they are yours. Besides the fact that this can limit the amount of closure you can experience in a relationship, letting this cord remain intact can leave you with a continued sense of sadness while creating feelings of lethargy as your own energy is sapped from you. Cutting the cord can help you separate yourself from old baggage, unnecessary attachments, and release you from connections that are no longer serving you.

Finding and cutting unwanted cords is a simple, gentle process that is best done alone and when you are relaxed. It is important that you are strong in your intention to release the chord between you and someone else. To begin, breathe deeply and perform a simple centering meditation. When you are ready, visualize or sense the chords that are connecting you to other people. Run your fingers through the cords to separate them until you find the cord you wish to sever. There is no need to worry, because the chord you need to sever will feel just right. When you have found it, determine where the cut should be made and then visualize the cord being cleanly cut. If you need assistance, Archangel Michael can be called upon to help you with his sword. Afterwards, if you feel that cutting the chord has left spaces in your energy field, then visualize those spaces being filled with healing sunlight.

There may be times where cutting a cord can help free a relative or loved one to reach new stages of growth. You’re not severing a relationship, but you are severing the chords that are no longer serving you both. At other times, a cord may simply refuse to be cut because it is still serving a higher purpose. It is also important to remember that cutting a cord with someone is not a replacement for doing your emotional work with people. It can, however, be an enactment of that work upon its completion. In any case, cutting a relationship cord should always be viewed as a positive and nurturing act. By cutting the cords that no longer need to be there, you are setting yourself and others free from the ties that bind.

If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible detail of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac. Even if you know or don`t know your Decan; I recommend, please read all three Decan.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Usually leaving decisions to others isn`t your style; but with so much changing and exciting but demanding changes devouring your time, you`ll be grateful certain individuals are in a position to lend a hand, if not take over. True, initially, you may question their choices; but after some serious discussion, you`ll realise how wise their thinking is, and may even decide to rely more on them.

A friend or partner`s behaviour is confusing. You wonder why they aren`t their normal easy going self. It could be their contrariness is down to them feeling as if everyone is taking their kindness for granted. If you go out of your way to correct this view, your relationship will get back to normal. You might pool your energy with a colleague to accomplish a difficult work assignment. Your boss will be impressed by your teamwork.

You won`t be the only sign to feel you`re coming to the end of an era. This week`s Last Quarter Moon coincides with an apparent fusion of the Sun with Mercury. Many people may be changing places. Think of this as a game of musical chairs. Note too that this summer includes two Solar eclipses: one next month and one in August. It`s probable that many changes will happen. Being alerted to just how dramatic these might be will surely be helpful. With this information you can then prepare for your next step. True, loss may be involved. On a positive note however, you could be offered the perfect opportunity to renew acquaintance with those you`ve worked with before. They too may be moving on: possibly providing you with scope to discuss a new partnership.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

When ideas or offers were first mentioned, they seemed too good to be true; but, also, you worried about the excessive change they`d trigger. As it happens, some are already taking place. While, initially, you`ll be irritated, you`ll soon recognise the promise even disrupting changes offer. The secret is teamwork. Rely on those who`ve experience with the people, ideas or this way of doing things.

If a domestic project gets off on the wrong foot, it`s not likely to get much better as the week goes on. A small misunderstanding between you and a housemate could escalate and you will wish you had kept your views to yourself. Are you single? A first date could be disappointing. Sometimes it seems like other people get all the luck but instead of dwelling on things that are going wrong, make a list of your blessings.

It wouldn`t be too surprising if, around Wednesday`s Last Quarter Moon, if you were brought unwelcome news. It may be that this is financial in nature. It might then be necessary to cut losses. A further possibility is that a health issue (not necessarily your own), will be preoccupying. Taking practical steps to assist someone in their daily routine may be something you want to do yet require a rethink of your own schedule. These are possibly just the first challenges to be faced as Uranus (the planet of the unexpected) begins its seven-year journey through your sign. You`ll likely cope better by being as flexible as possible. Though it might upset you greatly to let someone down, it may be that there is little alternative given that your priorities have changed. Yet those of your sign can be extraordinarily gifted when dealing with emergencies. In fact, before the end of the week you could surprise a few people by pulling off what they think of as a miracle whilst dealing with these other dramas.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Understandably, being unable to fully understand the nature and direction of changes is frustrating. However, this confusion is preparation for the Gemini New Moon, on the 13th, which constitutes a sort of personal new year. For now, therefore, focus on where changes are needed or what might go. This ensures you`ll be ready to deal with the often-surprising ideas and offers that appear in mid-June.

You`re putting a huge amount of effort into a group project that isn`t giving you the satisfaction you expected. This area of your life is taking up too much of your time now, leaving you with little chance to enjoy yourself. You`re putting in all the work, but it`s likely that other people will stand to benefit, and this doesn`t seem very fair to you. Your dissatisfaction is a sign that it`s time to try something new. Believe that you have it within you to make a dream come true.

Your world could shift on its axis mid-week when the Sun and your ruling planet, Mercury, appear to fuse at the same time as a Last Quarter Moon accents the apex of your solar chart. A strong possibility is that the needs of a sibling or colleague whom you consider to be part of your extended family, will be such that you`re needed to provide backup or even emergency care. Career-wise this could be an unsettling time as it may be necessary for you to postpone or re-prioritise tasks whilst you deal with other emergencies. Those of your sign tend to make lists in their head rather than on paper. It might be wise however to buy a notebook this week and not to rely too much on those brain cells. Satisfaction could arrive as you tick off tasks at the end of the day. There`s little doubt that you will be super busy and that in particular, you will be of enormous assistance to someone who is redefining their goals or ambitions.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

The past weeks` developments may have been unsettling; but your instincts correctly suggest they`re breaking up old patterns and, in doing so, encouraging you to explore new ways of working, living or certain activities. While getting things settled would be a relief, your own priorities are shifting. In fact, things may not be settled until mid-July`s Cancer eclipsed New Moon. After that, everything will be clear.

Someone needs your presence at a celebratory event. Their request is worded in a way that makes you feel obliged to attend. You and your family had other things planned and you hope your loved ones will understand. Have you been placing too much emphasis on work and responsibility? Taking a short trip for pleasure would be a welcome change of pace. A change of scene might also give you a chance to reassess some relationships.

It seems likely that you`re coming to the end of an era. This might not be entirely comfortable. News reaching you mid-week could alert you to the fact that more than one person, having agreed on a plan, is now backtracking and changing their objectives. It would be understandable if you felt let down or even disappointed. It might seem that so much is completely out of your control. By Friday however, and with the Moon, your chart ruler, reaching the apex of your solar chart, you may well have redefined your own goals. Satisfied that certain people need now to go off and do their own thing, you could then focus your attention on what brings you greatest pleasure and perhaps factor in a creative break as an early birthday present to yourself.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Your objective wasn`t to be secretive. Rather, you needed to reflect on certain matters for yourself. Still, this upset others. Discuss this frankly, apologising to the individuals in question, explaining you were weighing up options, but say no more. Next, ask for their views and, even more, suggestions.. You`ll be amazed how much they already know and surprised and delighted by the ideas they have to offer.

Family life is strained. Social gatherings are more relaxing and that`s because you won`t have to discuss subjects that make you feel uncomfortable. Still, you can`t keep burying your head in the sand. Sooner or later you`re going to have to face your responsibilities at home. Past quarrels can be brought up again later in the week and amicably settled. New technology introduced to the home and workplace will save you time, effort and frustration.

This week`s Last Quarter Moon on Wednesday 6th could mark the beginning of the end of a working relationship. It may be that a certain person decision to move on affects you greatly. Equally it may be that there are financial challenges over which you have little control, but which result in altered working arrangements. The enormity of this could feel destabilising. Yet this likely also presents yet another opportunity. True, you might not manage to seize this until after the Solar Eclipse in your sign in August. Even so, it would be understandable if you felt to be clutching at straws as you determine your next move. You might do better if at all possible, to keep a rein on reactions and instead to observe others. Many people will be going through major developments and from these could come openings made to match for your considerable talents.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Recent discussions were exciting, so much so, you started talking over future plans without having gathered solid facts. While this is out of character, it`s also taken you in new directions, some unexpectedly intriguing. Continue to explore for the sheer pleasure of what you learn and who you meet. This will broaden your horizons, so when you finally make those decisions, they`ll be wise ones.

When you keep your feelings bottled up, you can become vulnerable to stress. Someone may accuse you of being secretive when the truth is, you`re feeling hypersensitive and moody. It might seem as if no one understands you. Discussing your feelings with an old friend could clear your thoughts. They will be more sensitive than you expect them to be. Take time to prepare nutritious meals that will boost your immune system. Your primary focus now should be your health.

With Wednesday`s Last Quarter Moon in your opposite sign coinciding with the Sun`s conjunction with your ruling planet, Mercury, and the apex of your solar chart, it would be unsurprising if you discussed the conclusion of a working partnership or, at the very least, its rearrangement. Of course, it`s entirely possible that the wind will be pulled from your sails by an announcement (by someone possibly born under Aries or Libra) that makes clear their intention to move in altered direction. You won`t be the only sign to feel unsettled by developments mid-week.. Where you could score however, is that because it`s generally the case that you have many irons in the fire, before the weekend another of these could come to the point where it attracts attention and where yes, a new working alliance could form.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Although there`s no denying the power of links between your ruler Venus, and both the fortunate Jupiter and visionary Neptune, they`re about exciting discoveries, not guarantees. Waste time trying to get solid facts and this amazing moment could pass. The secret is to explore, even if it appears you`re agreeing to uncertain plans. If necessary, you can pull out later, although it`s unlikely you`ll want to.

Nothing stays the same forever and you are ready now to decide on the next stage of a close relationship. With a little imagination you could come up with exciting joint plans for the future. You feel the person you are with is the one who will be with you in the long-term. Planning a wedding or engagement party will bring out the best in you. Making a guest list, creating a menu and compiling musical playlists will unleash your creativity.

Health issues, (not necessarily your own), could dominate around Wednesday`s Last Quarter Moon. A further possibility is intense involvement with an educational project. Though the two things might seem very different, they have in common the need to be of service to others. Transport arrangements could be a major factor. With so much going on in your `social` life, it might be difficult to give full attention to career matters. Yet it`s possible that developments on this front – though not entirely unexpected, – will demand that you think very differently about the next few years. In an ideal world, it would be good if you could get away from for a few days. With the benefit of a quite literally different perspective, you could plot, scheme, and arrive at a pool of ideas to be explored over the next few weeks before a final decision is taken closer to your birthday. For now, the needs of those born under the Mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces might need to take precedence.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

For weeks you`ve been wrestling with various intriguing ideas or offers. They`re tempting but both lack solid facts and would take you into worryingly unfamiliar territory. While you`d like guarantees, with so much in transition, promises of this nature simply aren`t available. The solution? Let experience, that is, what you do and who you meet, be your guide. You`ll be amazed how much you learn.

Ignore the desire to be overly independent. In business and romance, it`s not what you know but who you know that counts this week. Personal plans will be advanced by following an influential executive`s lead. Social activities will be fun and interesting but by the end of the week you will prefer quiet, peaceful pastimes. Plan a romantic dinner for two or take your amour to a special venue you both always enjoy. You might talk about sneaking off to a private hideaway together.

This is likely to prove a challenging week for all signs with more people experiencing endings than beginnings. This is in part due to the Last Quarter Moon in another of the Water signs on Wednesday 6th. That this coincides with the Sun`s alignment with Mercury suggests that for those of your sign, the realisation that a task has simply taken too much out of you and that you have a few reserves now on which to draw, might result in you being the one who says it`s time to move on or reschedule your daily routine. This need not be a negative experience. Though true, you could experience moments of regret that a phase is coming to a conclusion, it`s entirely possible that as early as Friday you could be reinvigorated by news that suggests your particular talents will be welcomed by a team being formed and scheduled to start work together in September.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

The powerful Sagittarius Full Moon, on 29 May, brought both your feelings about certain frustrating situations and the uncooperative attitude of others to a head. While you may have discussed these issues then, achieving the changes necessary will require that you take a diplomatic approach, often making suggestions then waiting for a response. While frustrating, the results you gain will justify the patience required.

Absence really does make the heart grow fonder. If you and someone you are close to have been apart, you may have felt incomplete without them. You`ve met someone worthy of being your lifetime partner and settling down with the one you love will bring stability into your life. Spending time on hobbies can be therapeutic. Swimming, playing sports or bringing a creative project to fruition strikes a better balance between work and fun. Don`t feel guilty about taking time off work for romance or relaxation.

The next seven days should be viewed as a week of adjustment. Wednesday`s Last Quarter Moon coincides with an alignment of the Sun and Mercury in your opposite sign; and yes, it`s possible that a working colleague is moving on. Your own attitude to work may be changing. Whether because transport costs are rising or because it`s simply too difficult to get to a place, you might decide it better not to pursue a particular avenue. Painful or tricky as this decision might be, there could be a sense of relief that you will no longer be banging your head against one brick wall. You could then focus energy in an entirely different direction. This might be actively encouraged by very good friend or partner who feels you`ve yet to explore certain avenues. By Friday, and through their introductions, arrangements could be made to meet with those who could assist and for those meetings to occur before the solstice on June 21st.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

Ordinarily, you`d never plunge into an arrangement without checking what, and who, is involved; but what`s taking place is so intriguing that you realise this is as much about the facts you`ll learn and who you`ll meet as any single objective. What`s more, this may bring timely excitement and new energy to elements of your life which, lately, have been a little too predictable.

At times, you might be troubled by memories you`d rather forget. What`s past is past and if a relationship, arrangement or job is over, you must accept this now. Concentrate on other relationships, new possibilities and fresh opportunities. Reuse to allow old disappointments to interfere with your future. Developments in your family life could set you thinking along new lines. Be open to making adjustments for the sake of a loving partnership. Friends and loved ones will appreciate your flexibility.

A cluster of aspects around Wednesday`s Last Quarter Moon suggests the conclusion of a phase. You won`t be the only sign to be experiencing what feels like the end of an era. Yet it may be that it suits you to move away from a project that`s affected you for too long. Your energies might yet be better spent elsewhere. A significant difficulty may be that someone who holds the purse strings is not engaging quite as you would wish. You may feel that their attitude is actually contributing to a difficulty or, is self-sabotaging progress. It`s quite possible though, that as one door appears to close another opens entirely unexpectedly. Someone who has either just returned from travelling or whom you meet whilst travelling looks set to play an increasingly important role. It may be that their invitation to an event scheduled for midmonth is one that it would be wise not to ignore.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

Because your ruler Uranus moves into a new position only every seven years, the events triggered by its recent shift, to accent the structure of your life, seemed unsettling, if not unwelcome. For now, focus on exploration, that is learning about where changes would take you. Equally, note its influence on others, because they`re experiencing similar developments. For now, explore. Decisions can and should can wait.

A refund you were promised hasn`t yet arrived. You are entitled to this money and you`ve had enough of being messed about. You may have to go to court to get justice and very soon an agreement will be rubber stamped by the judge. If someone has been acting weird when in the company of a mutual friend, you are about to find out why. Now everything is out in the open, you may want to think about where you stand in a certain friendship or relationship.

You could be headed toward a financial crisis that is absolutely not of your making. It may be that because of rising interest rates or changes in foreign exchange rates require considerable adjustment. Disappointed as you may be that it`s not possible to work something out immediately, even before the weekend you could come up with a solution. It would be unwise to underestimate the Aquarian ability to find ways around difficulties. Though others might be amazed at your logic and approach, they might nevertheless admire the energy and effort you put in to getting around this difficulty. Given that this is likely to be a challenging week for all signs, you might be particularly appreciative of news concerning someone who used to be a work colleague or neighbour but with whom you`ve lost touch in recent times.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

There`ve been all sorts of promising ideas, so many you can`t resist taking things further. Do exactly that; but, also, remember that because you`re in a period of change, what makes sense one day may not the next. This means double-checking facts, often, and in depth. Tempting as it is to ignore such precautions, what you learn will be amazingly helpful now and in the future.

Your best friend is making plans that seem out of character for them. Because this has taken you by surprise, you may not give the response they were hoping for. All they want is some fun and excitement. When you realise this, and see the happiness it brings them, you could feel embarrassed by your initial reaction. A situation that is becoming increasingly worrying for the family can be resolved but it may need your intervention. Find practical ways to relieve a relative`s problems.

The Last Quarter Moon this week is in your sign. It coincides with an alignment of the Sun and Mercury in another of the Mutable signs and draws attention to the base of your solar chart. It may be that work you`ve been doing at home now requires review. Whilst perhaps not ready to blow your own trumpet, it may be that what you`ve been working on will provide a breakthrough for others. True, it might concern you that you won`t be given recognition. Yet this would be to admit defeat too early. On Friday, and likely with the support of two friends (one perhaps born under Scorpio and the other a Capricorn), you could be reassured that you will indeed be mentioned in dispatches and that your place within a development team is now assured. The question you might need to have an answer to however is why you didn`t let certain people in on your ideas way before now.
