A hexenspiegel (HEX-un-spee-gull) is a small mirror used as a protective charm to reflect away negative magicks, the evil eye, or other bad omens or intentions, as well as return the negative energy to the sender. Its basis is in German folk magick: translated, it means “witch’s mirror.” Hexenspiegels may be suspended from cords, fastened to walls, or, in the case of small ones, worn as jewelry.

To make your own hexenspiegel, use a plain mirror or use craft glue to adhere small stones, crystals, beads, or other items of choice to the mirror’s edges. Charge the mirror by sprinkling it with salt, passing it through the heat and smoke of a candle, and dabbing it with pure water. Place the hexenspiegel where it will carry out your intention, saying:

“Mirror, mirror, on the wall, answer
my protective call. Turn away the
magick black, with all your pow’r,
please send it BACK!”

Magical Elixir
Spell Date: Saturday, October 21, 2017

As the weather changes, it is common to get sick—a sore throat, cold, or flu. Now is a good time to make a natural remedy that boosts the immune system, reduces liver stress, and fights infection, fatigue, and candida. Make a big jar, and drink one ounce a day throughout the cold and flu season.

You will need the following:
* 1/4 cup chopped garlic
* 1/4 cup diced onion
* 1 whole habanero pepper
* 1/8 cup grated fresh ginger
* 2 tablespoons grated horseradish
* 2 tablespoons turmeric
* 32-ounce bottle organic apple cider vinegar
* 1 large Mason jar

Prep the veggies and fill the Mason jar about 2/3 full of them, then add in the spices on top. Pour in the apple cider vinegar, filling to the top. Close the jar and shake. Keep in a cool, dry place and let ferment, shaking well frequently. After two weeks, strain the mixture through cheesecloth. Keep the liquid in the jar in the fridge, and consume an ounce each day, as needed. A magical elixir!

Sacred Soup
Spell Date: Friday, October 20, 2017

Cook soup in sacred space to share with those you love and fill your home and family with blessings.

Assemble the ingredients of your soup ahead of time. Divide the ingredients into four groups. Potential ingredients and their elements are:

Air: Beans, endive, sage, lemongrass, mace, marjoram, chicory
Fire: Peppers, almost anything hot and spicy, carrots, onion, rosemary
Water: Water, broth
Earth: Salt, barley, corn, potatoes, oats, turnips, beets

With an athame, cast a circle around your kitchen, saying:

“In this sacred space Only good may enter.
All that is cooked here is blessed.
So be it.”

Point your athame at each group of ingredients in order, saying:

“I consecrate these things of (air/fire/ water/earth)
to bless and balance this soup
with (intelligence/passion/love/ abundance).
So be it.”

When you have finished cooking, close the circle, saying:

“The circle is now ended. The goodness remains. Blessed be.”

Leave the first portion outdoors as an offering of thanks for the blessings to be received.

Uranus Opposition Spell
Spell Date: Thursday, October 19, 2017

The New Moon at opposition with Uranus means that today is the perfect time to break stale cycles and patterns and prepare for the new and unexpected. If you have been feeling overwhelmed lately, chances are Uranus is pulling on your strings and it is time to call change into your life.

Take a deep breath and spend a few moments thinking about all the things that have you feeling down or overwhelmed. Write it all down on a piece of white paper, then draw a giant circle counterclockwise around what you wrote. Say:

“Serpent rise and shed thy skin.
Uranus opposed, let magic begin.
Changing life and turning tide,
Let thy will be far and wide!”

Burn the paper safely. Mix the ashes with olive oil, then rub the mixture on your belly. Take a shower, rinse off, and visualize yourself renewed.

Pinky Promise
Spell Date: Wednesday, October 18, 2017

How does it happen that we get too busy to keep in touch with our friends? Even though Facebook and other social media are handy, it’s that personal, face-to-face friendship that we need to maintain. If you have a friendship or relationship that you want to cherish forever, even though you and/or your friend may someday move on to new homes or new parts of your lives, you can make a pinky promise now and hold it in your memory.

Go with your friend to a place that’s special to the two of you, preferably one that’s private and quiet. Talk about how valuable your friendship is. Then speak this declaration (or make up your own words):

“Even when we’re far apart, I will
always cherish our friendship.”

To seal your promise, link the pinky fingers of your projective hands (right if you’re right-handed) and seal the link by shaking but not breaking the pinky link three times. Then hug your friend. Keep your pinky promise by keeping in touch.

Confidence Spell
Spell Date: Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Need a boost of confidence? Nervous about a social event? Try this spell to boost your best qualities and help you get some attention.

First, look in the mirror. Talk to yourself. Say only positive things— give yourself compliments and remind yourself of your best qualities. Let those characteristics shine. Visualize yourself in the setting, receiving the results you desire. Imagine the best possible outcome.

Light a yellow or white candle and charge a piece of jewelry with these words:

“Let my best shine through.
I’m confident and sure.
I’m glowing with a light
That no one can ignore.”

Allow the candle to burn out. Wear the jewelry and let it remind you of your true beauty and confidence.

Heartwings Love Notes 797 Intoxicated by Beauty

Heartwings says, “To be drunk on beauty won’t hurt the liver.”

This time of year I worry that if I were pulled over by a policeman I might appear intoxicated. That’s a joke, of course, as for many years my body has not tolerated more than a sip or two of alcohol, and that only on rare occasions. No, what I would be drunk on is the beauty that glows along the roadsides. As I drive around on my errands these days, the slanting rays of the autumn sun shine through the reds and golds of the turning leaves, leaving me breathless.

I feel fortunate that I have the eyes to see it and the heart to appreciate it. I remember a conversation I had once with someone who was chronically depressed. When I said something about the beauty around us she shrugged and told me she couldn’t really appreciate it. Although she didn not say it I could tell that she was simply too sad to do so. Her mind was preoccupied with her troubles and sorrows. I felt for her.

The gorgeous display that is the essence of a fall in New England is something many people travel here to see. It’s one of the reasons I prefer to live in this part of the USA. I spent some years in Virginia and missed the brilliance of our autumn very much. When many years ago I was in Texas in the fall, I felt the same. I grew up here, and perhaps New England is in my blood. All I know is that each year I look forward eagerly to this time of year.

One of the houses we lived in had a window that looked out over a very special Maple tree. The color that painted the leaves would begin with a single branch, sometimes as early as late August. How I enjoyed it when that patch of leaves burst into brightness. The loveliness of nature in autumn warms my heart in a way that enlivens my whole being. I am so very thankful for this special gift of loveliness, free for the gazing, billowing over the hills and presenting on yards, our New England fall.

Stephen Halpert
McGee and the Haunted House, Part 4

It was the following morning. I was in Chief Mallory’s office with Raven and Sippi. The diamonds were spread out on a dark cloth on the worktable beside his desk.
Sippi’s eyes widened. “Must be worth a considerable fortune.”
“Wonder if that’s why the escaped convicts went there,” Raven said. “To retrieve these rocks?”
“Makes sense,” Mallory said. “Break out of the penitentiary, retrieve the diamonds, vanish forever into thin air. But Sherlock got there first, sniffed them out and dug them from the wall.”
Mallory chuckled and grinned at me. “Sherlock you’re like that nonstop bunny in the battery commercials on TV. I’m proud of you,”
Sippi spoke up. “Maybe a little token of appreciation. A small diamond he can wear on his collar.”
“I wouldn’t go that far.” Chief Mallory sputtered.
“But Captain,” she persisted. “Magee found them, dug them up. For all we know they could have been in that hole in the wall since even before the Civil War. After all that mansion was built in 1793.”
“Don’t start,” Mallory said.
“But Sir,” Raven intervened. “Sippi has a valid point. Magee unearthed what could be classified in federal statutes as ancient treasure and therefore eligible to be shared.”
“Bah,” Mallory’s mouth set into a grim line. “If there’s any reward from those rocks it would go to benefit the Department. Town always chops back our budget. This might give us a few extra bucks to get a little ahead.”
Sippi laughed. “Captain do you have any idea how many millions those diamonds are worth?”
“Magee deserves something for this,” Raven said.
“All right, how about a case of dog food for the holidays!” Mallory huffed.
He turned to Sippi. “But knowing you he gets better fed than me.” He
reached for his cigar stub. “I remember Marjorie telling me how much she’d spent feeding him: prime rib, steak tips.” He shook his head. “If you ask me he’s mollycoddled and spoiled rotten.”
“That’s all very true,” Sippi said softly. “He’s also a very sensitive dog and must be handled carefully.”
But Captain Mallory wasn’t finished. “Why when I look at you Magee sometimes I see Marjorie standing right there beside you.”
I wagged my tail and wished Sippi could say the same.
Raven bent down and petted me. Then he said. “Magee’s not a snob Chief. He just turns his back on the puppy chow of life.”
“As well he should,” Sippi said. She reached into her bag and
tossed me a smoked tuna ball.
I nibbled at it but I was too excited to eat. I was on a case and wanted to confront that strange scent I kept sniffing when we were near or at the mansion.
Sippi looked over Mallory’s shoulder. “Says here in the file that it was over twenty years ago those three escapees were incarcerated for murder. Nothing is mentioned here about any stolen diamonds or major jewelry heist.”
“Could just be coincidental,” Raven said. “But I doubt it.” He rubbed his chin. “My thought: Let’s get some fake diamonds and put them back in that hole in the wall. Then take a wait and see.”
But Sippi wasn’t so sure. “You think whoever might want to retrieve them would fall for cheap cut glass like that?”
“Not ultimately,” Raven said. “But long enough to incriminate themselves.”
Mallory nodded. “Worth a try. Better yet a bag of zircons won’t punch holes in the Department’s budget. Meanwhile we’ll keep these locked up in a safe place.”
Mallory clutched his cigar stub and looked me in the eye. “We’ll figure this one out, won’t we Sherlock?”
I wagged my tail; I wasn’t sure what he was talking about.
“Well, let’s drive back and see what else we can find, Mallory said. He hoisted himself out of his desk chair and pulled his car keys from his pocket. We all climbed into his cruiser and set out for the mansion.
“Nothing about this case makes any sense,” Mallory said as we drove past the overrun, neglected graveyard in Twin Forks. “That voice we all heard, and the strange apparition!” He shook his head.
Raven checked his device. “Timing seems weird. Convicts broke out early Sunday. Must have taken at least four plus hours to reach the mansion. Now they’ve gone into hiding. Hope we can lure them out into the open.”
“Could be they were planning on meeting others,” Mallory said. “Maybe to collect the diamonds.”
“This is all conjecture. For all we know those diamonds could have been hidden there since before the mansion even burned,” Sippi reiterated. “We’ll find out, won’t we Magee?” Sippi hugged.
As soon as I jumped from the cruiser a whistling wind made me wish I had on my down vest. Back inside the ruin my eyes stung from a terrible stench: the bad smells both of the ghosts and of the burnt stuff.
A splintered board crashed onto the floor.
“Duck,” Raven said.
Sippi jumped out of the way. “Another reception committee?” she said.
Mallory took his pistol from its holster. “Just in case.”
“Can’t kill a ghost that way,” Sippi said.
“Unless you’ve got silver bullets from the Lone Ranger,” Raven chuckled.
“Oh,” she said. “I thought they were only used against vampires.”
Raven grinned. “Lone Ranger never went up again vampires. Tonto maybe.”
Carefully we proceeded from the foyer down a corridor leading to the kitchen. I ran ahead tracking another odd scent.
“Stay away,” came a screaming voice. Leave here!”
“Who are you?” Mallory called.
But all we heard were peals of crazed laughter, reverberating around the burnt walls.
I sniffed along behind the kitchen and followed a hallway into a small room, probably once a storage space or pantry. I jumped over some pieces of wallboard but instead of landing on my feet I fell into the dark.
This was scary! I had landed on a wet stone floor. I smelled rats and heard squeaking. I barked as loud as I could.
“Magee! Where are you?” It sounded like Sippi was far, far away. I felt a hand touch my back. I yelped. The hand reached again. I barked and tried to run but it was strong and held me down.

Celtic Festival, Samhain: Origins of Halloween

The origin of Halloween or the traditional night of Samhain in the Celtic religion, began to be called All-Hallows Eve and, eventually, Halloween, the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced Sow-in) dates back 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and Northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1.

This marked the end of summer and the harvest as it was the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. The Celts believed that the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On October 31st, they would celebrate Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. In addition to causing any trouble and damaging crops, the Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or the Celtic Priests, to make predictions about the future. For the people who were entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort and direction during the long, dark winter.

To commemorate the festival, the Druids had built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities. During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other’s fortune’s. When the celebration was over, they re-lit their hearth fires, which they had extinguished earlier that evening, from the sacred bonfire to help protect them during the coming winter.

7 Easy Ways to Celebrate Samhain
October 21, 2017 • by Rebecca

The ancient Celtic festival of Samhain is almost upon us. It’s traditionally celebrated on the 1st of November, but I like to smoosh it together with Halloween because laughing at and celebrating death is my bag!

Samhain is my favourite holiday of the year so I like to do something to observe it. I tend to keep my rituals simple; I have to work on Samhain so I don’t have time for anything elaborate. I’ll probably cook something seasonal, make an offering to my ancestors and perform a quick releasing ritual. Sounds involved but it’ll take me around five minutes.

So, here’s some quick and easy ways to celebrate Samhain.
1. Create An Ancestor Altar.

Halloween or Samhain is a time when the veil thins; this makes it an ideal time to honour those loved ones who have passed on. You could gather photos of pets and loved ones, and arrange fresh Autumn foliage, a bowl of water, candles, sugar skulls and other decorative items on your shrine. Light candles and say prayers, let them know they’re missed and remembered.
2. Marathon the Simpsons Halloween Episodes.

Everyone loves the Simpsons and some of my favourite episodes are the Halloween ones! So cosy up on the sofa and break out the Halloween themed sweets.
3. Watch Spooky Films.

Obviously, being Halloween you could watch horror films. But being the squeamish person that I am I avoid horror films at all costs! Much to bemusement of my fiancee who loves them. So, my preference would be to watch spooky films like ParaNorman, Coraline, The Craft or Practical Magic etc. Basically just watch something you like in the theme of the season!
4. Cook Something Seasonal.

The nights are drawing in and the temperature is getting colder so you might fancy cooking a nice warming dinner. Try cooking with produce that’s in season, for example make a Vegetarian Shepherds Pie and finish it off with Apple and Blackberry Crumble. In the UK blackberries grow wild so you can easily pick them if you want to do some foraging while you’re out and about. Just make sure you wash them first! Or if you’re lazy like me buy them from the supermarket.
5. Bake Some Irish Barmbrack.

This is a traditional Irish Halloween fruit bread/cake; it was used for divination during Halloween. You put various objects in the bread and each object meant various things, although it sounds like people only put rings in it these days. Check out this article for the recipe and more information.
6. Perform a Halloween Tarot reading.

We all love a bit of tarot and oracle reading. Personally, I don’t use my decks for divination but more for self-reflection. I tend to see Halloween/Samhain as a turning point, almost like a new year so a Halloween themed spread could help get you thinking about how you wish to proceed into the winter months. For those who want to be extra seasonal you could use one of the Halloween themed oracle decks that are around at the moment.
7. Make a Samhain Wish.

If you are legally allowed to do this in your area then go for it (safely). On pieces of paper you could write all the things you’re letting go of and burn them in the bonfire. Alternatively, write down your wishes and burn them for the (metaphorical) new year.
Whatever you do this Samhain have a great time and wrap up warm!

Witchy Treats & Spell
by AngelRemedy

Wasn’t Friday the 13th full of old energy yesterday?! I felt a complete sense of renewal in the emotional department yesterday – especially love.

In light of yesterday…

I wanted to put together a Samhain Preparation Spell and a few treats for Witches of all paths and ages.

Halloween, or as Witches love to call it, Samhain is just around the corner. The air has become so crisp and clear with distant scents of burning wood, as the sky turns darker overhead, signaling the coming of this revered day.

The “Veil Between Worlds” are thinning and contact with the “Season of The Witch” is approaching. On this day, unlike any other day, contacting and acknowledging the dearly departed is most prominent. With that being said…

A more in-depth look in to Samhain will be placed on this blog on the Magical day of Halloween. For now, let’s skip ahead to the spell…

This spell is a spiritual and emotional cleanse. This is intended to filter and clean your spiritual trail so far, preparing you for a night of Divination, Fun & Communing on Halloween.

Four Orange Candles {Representing one of the main colours of Samhain and a Sacral Chakra creative release + spark.}
Four Black Candles {Representing removal of negative energy, rebirth, accepting darkness and Crone energy.}
One Small Pumpkin
Knife or Athame {For inscribing.}

Practice this in your Altar Room or on your Altar.
Place your Eight candles as so: orange, black, orange, black, orange, black, orange, black. Either in a half-circle or line in front of you.
Carve your name, age, house number or street on the small pumpkin using your Athame or Knife.
Then, repeat the following spell THREE times…

Pumpkin Orange

Pumpkin New

I Call The Gift of Life Anew

Maiden, Mother and Now a Crone

I Offer This Fruit To Cleanse My Hearth & Home…

{Leave the Pumpkin on your Altar until Samhain. Snuff your candles out immediately.}

Smoke in Spells…

Using smoke in conjunction with your spellwork or divination is no secret in the world of Witchcraft. It is used to see spirits through smoke, cleanse the space, ease tensions, cleanse, travel out of body {astral travel} and so much more!

The herbs used to create a smoke blend boil down to taste and your desired result.

When I visited a Shaman in Peru, she smoked natural Tobacco that she grew in her garden and it completely altered my perception of smoke. We demonize Tobacco so much and tie it to lung health because of mainstream cigarettes – cigarettes loaded with a plethora of hidden ingredients to maintain sales and increase addiction.

Contrary to popular belief, tobacco does not clog your lungs, herbs rarely do actually. That is the work of negative energy, no connection to roots and a complete submersion in science and not our Witchy healers or guides.

So, now…

What herbs to smoke?

For Lung Health, consider herbs like…

For the Nervous System, consider herbs like…

For Fun Flavors, consider herbs like…

A little Bonus…

I have been personally using Cannabis as my smoke blend, especially with spells. If you plan on trying this make sure you are a seasoned mind or out of body voyager. This will give you an extreme high, that will take your Crown Chakra places it has never been before!

Astrology & Aromatherapy…

Aries: Black Pepper, Frankincense, Lemon and Rosemary are perfect to support your fiery nature.

Taurus: Juniper, Eucalyptus, Chamomile and Patchouli are perfect to nurture and bring out your sensual nature.

Gemini: Lavender, Thyme, Bergamot and Neroli are perfect to nurture your quick mind.

Owls are patient messengers, bringers of information and the holders of wisdom and capable of seeing the unseen.
For as long as humankind has recognized animals as teachers, wise men and women have recognized traits worthy of respect in both wild and domestic creatures. The cultural and spiritual significance of certain animals transcends geographical boundaries, unifying disparate peoples. Not so the majestic and mysterious owl, which has over many millennia served as the focal point of numerous contradictory beliefs. Though owls have been regarded with awe and fascination, they have also inadvertently served as agents of fear. Since owls are nocturnal, human-owl encounters tended to occur at night and likely when the bird was swooping silently down to earth to grapple with prey. Yet even as some shied away from the owl, calling it an agent of darkness, others recognized the depths of awareness in beautiful owl’s eyes.

In the classical Greek tradition, an owl could often be found perched on the shoulder of Athena, goddess of wisdom, while owls could ward off bad luck in Roman lore. It is in Native American mythos, however, that the owl attains its own unique identity. Owls are patient messengers, bringers of information and the holders of wisdom, and they are capable of seeing the unseen. With their keen eyesight, they can glance into the soul to discern meaning and motive, and they are totems of truth. Unlike our distant forebears, we may never encounter an owl in the wild, but we can nonetheless internalize the wisdom of the owl by attuning ourselves to its most venerable qualities. Fully integrating the medicine of the owl into spiritual existence is a matter of considering how we might open ourselves more fully to the wisdom that can be found in the larger universe.

Should you find your efforts blocked as you commune with the owl, remember that it was not always revered as an icon of wisdom. This denizen of the nighttime has overcome many prejudices in its long association with humankind. To reveal those hidden elements of the self that impact your life for better or for worse, you must often make your way through the darkest parts of your soul as if you yourself are the nocturnal hunter. There is indeed darkness both inside the self and outside the self, but like the owl you can transcend it by drawing nourishment from the insights you receive when you penetrate it.

Weekly Horoscopes beginning: Sunday, 22 October 2017

If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from houses within those signs.

Personal theme: I am!!
Fire & cardinal sign: March 21 — April 19

Your horoscope for this week:

It should feel as though you`re breaking fresh ground. The first alignment of the Sun and Jupiter in Scorpio for over a decade on Tuesday should mark significant develop in your working life. True, for some it might seem that a carrot is being dangled and yes, those who have already put in considerable effort might wonder at what point they can reduce their workload. It may be that they need to keep going a while longer. This week too, Mars arrives in your opposite sign not leaving there until December 9th. This transit happens every couple of years and is useful especially for those developing personal fitness. This is when your competitive spirit should surface. Whether you`re trying to beat a personal best or outshine someone else, the propellant is there. Involvement with a group or association seems likely. In fact, it could be through this alliance that you achieve that powerful breakthrough.

Personal theme: I have!!
Earth & fixed sign: April 20 — May 20

Your horoscope for this week:

For the first time in over a decade, the Sun and Jupiter align in your opposite sign. This cosmic event should coincide with growing awareness as to how dependent you are on the goodwill of others. It`s probable, – and especially if you`ve already sought the support of someone with acknowledged expertise, that your position at work will be significantly strengthened. True, you may be asked to give special attention to long-term plans. Actually, this could prove an excellent week for developing a business plan. Determining whether or not you`re making best use of resources may be imperative by Friday`s First Quarter Moon. Indeed, by looking back over achievements and notes made since the beginning of the year, you could determine exactly which avenues are still ripe for development and which are simply too costly to continue. One thing that may be very clear, is that the wording of a document requires review and major edit.

Personal theme: I think!!
Air sign: May 21 — June 20

Your horoscope for this week:

Both the Sun and Mars change signs this week. The latter`s move into the play zone of your solar chart should be viewed as a good thing. That said, balancing an increased workload with fun and games could prove challenging. The answer may be to ensure that work in itself is fun. In that respect, you could attract someone born under either Sagittarius or Pisces who, rather than fixate on all the problems, takes an `all will be resolved` attitude. Of course, it`s likely that they`ll want recognition and yes, if you are an employer, then this could prove costly. Yet sharing profits and yes, power, may be no bad thing. Given that it should be clear that you cannot carry on as you have been, finding new ways of working and developing working partnerships should now be top priority. In this respect, someone older or with whom you have a long history looks set to play key role.

Personal theme: I feel!!
Water & cardinal sign: June 21 — July 22

Your horoscope for this week:

This could be the week that many have been waiting for. The Sun forms its first conjunction with Jupiter in Scorpio for over a decade and should mark the next stage in creative projects and, for those of you with children, mark a significant moment in their development. Positive as all this might sound, it could prove challenging. You may need to dig deep into resources of all kinds. What may be particularly important is determining how best to secure a working partnership which in recent times has been under threat. It may be that new terms have to be agreed. New understanding could be reached by Friday`s First Quarter Moon when, having recognised that someone is limited in their ability to take care of your needs, you could find support from someone who`s not quite a therapist but who falls easily into the role of mentor and guide.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I will!!
Fire & fixed sign: July 23 — August 22

Your horoscope for this week:

It really is time to think differently: a fact that might be brought home to you by Friday`s First Quarter Moon. If you`ve (understandably) spent the last few months focused on one issue, it`s arguably time to turn attention to other matters: priority being a working partnership that`s in sore need of attention. It may be that further investment of time and money is involved. Yet you might also be asked to consider a move (property). With two other slow-moving planets waiting to change signs in the next few months (Saturn and Uranus), the time might not be right to make that final decision. That said, determining what would and would not be acceptable is surely imperative and will likely form the cornerstone to decision-making. Midst all this, don`t forget to arrange routine health check-ups: reconnecting with a health professional might even prove a rewarding experience.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I analyse!!
Earth sign: August 23 — September 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Mars now moves into one of the key financial sectors of your solar chart. The `red` planets action here usually heats up the cash flow and yes, you might need to watch the pennies or cents carefully over the next six weeks. How much you spend on travel could be an issue. Equally, you might exceed a book budget. Yet you might feel compelled to make these investments. You could also find that others are talking about you – perhaps with a view to finding you a `better` role. It doesn`t necessarily follow that you`ll change job, – though it is likely that focus will shift. You may also find that you`re asked to help someone who`s having difficulty with their studies. Those with children may find this a demanding period – perhaps because their needs require you to be more involved in their education.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I balance!!
Air & cardinal sign: September 23 — October 22

Your horoscope for this week:

Jupiter may have moved out of your sign, but Mars has just arrived there – and for a 6 week stay. Expect to be super busy and to deal with both ethical and financial dilemmas (and many of them). Whilst it may have been clear for months that you were coming to the end of one phase (probably family-related), opening the door on the next might not have been something you`ve contemplated in depth. Now you might need to deal with legal and perhaps even property issues. It wouldn`t be so surprising if this included obtaining a valuation and undertaking extra travel. In recognising the `end of an era` you might also wonder what your role in the next stage should be. There`s likely little rush and, probably, the need to find out more – and more. In this, the assistance of a Scorpio could be hugely valuable. It may be that it`s someone born under this (or yes, maybe one of the other Water signs: Cancer or Pisces) who would be ideal as a guide.

Scorpio & Ophiuchus
Personal theme: I desire!!
Water & fixed signs: October 23 — November 21

Your horoscope for this week:

It might be suggested that this will be `your` week as the Sun aligns with Jupiter in your sign – the first such alignment for over a decade; and yes, you could find yourself the centre of attention. Obviously much depends on your personal chart. It`s possible though that not all Scorpios will find this a comfortable experience. The art to getting through the next few days may be about defining the challenges you want to face, determining new goals and then connecting with friends, family and `emotional supporters` who can guide you through the coming weeks. What`s likely is that you`re rapidly approaching a point where you`re not exactly obsessed, but certainly feel compelled to know more about a subject. That enquiring mind of yours could lead you deep into archives and treasures of all kinds before the weekend. Here, a first-class teacher (or a Sagittarius?) may be the one to propel you forward.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I see!!
Fire sign: November 22 — December 21

Your horoscope for this week:

Let`s hope that you`re in fine voice as there`s high probability of you doing a great deal of talking as the week begins. Now that you`re beginning to amass evidence of what hasn`t been achieved in recent months, it could fall to you to put the key in someone`s back and get things moving. The Sun`s alignment with your ruling planet, Jupiter, on Thursday should help. What might not be entirely comfortable – yet surely must be acknowledged even by you, is that you now have much greater power than you ever wanted. Others are likely to be looking to you. In particular, a Libra or Capricorn friend might need your advice and support. There`s high probability that changes in their working environment are now impacting on your relationship. The latter part of this week would also be good for a general financial tidy up. It may be that there is a tax-related imperative to this.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I use!!
Earth & cardinal sign: December 22 — January 19

Your horoscope for this week:

It`s very likely that by the end of this week others will be looking to you to take the lead. This is presumably not the first time that this has happened. The difference now though is that an entire team may be listening more intently than they`ve done in the past. Recall that Jupiter has only recently changed signs. It`s alignment with the Sun on Thursday will obviously affect all signs, but, in your case, could bring with it a moment of empowerment. This surely must be both acknowledged. It may be that this would be an appropriate moment to discuss your position generally and the goals you`d like to achieve in 2018. Though this is not your birthday period when it`s generally easier to focus, you may be in the mood to plan your next move. To this end, you may find that a Scorpio`s input is timely.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I know!!
Air & fixed sign: January 20 — February 18

Your horoscope for this week:

By the end of this week, you may be re-positioned and have taken on a key role. The alignment of the Sun and Jupiter in another of the fixed signs, Scorpio, on Thursday accents the apex of your solar chart. It`s probable that you will be in the spotlight. How you deal with this will obviously depend much on your personal chart. One possibility is that a large company will now be looking carefully at your file – and yes, if you are in line for a new position, you could attract their attention and even perhaps be short listed. It`s as likely that before the end of the month that someone you worked with a long time ago will resurface. It`s perhaps only now that they`re realising just how important you were in their affairs. Before getting involved again however you might both need to agree that ground rules have changed significantly and that new terms will need to be set.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — — –

Personal theme: I believe!!
Water sign: February 19 — March 20

Your horoscope for this week:

It seems likely that an extra swathe of work is headed in your direction. Legal matters too might require attention. The two may be connected. Recall that Jupiter recently moved into another of the Water signs. This is a very different energy to that which applied up until October 10th. Now, you could be swimming in a very different kind of ocean. You may also find you have significantly more energy than has been the case in recent weeks. It wouldn`t be surprising if you felt to be empowered or recharged. With someone, possibly a Libra or Capricorn (certainly who is well travelled), making suggestions as to how you could improve your position, you might decide that a marketing plan has to be put into action sooner rather than later.
