Chaparral Tea Recipe

cteaThis is one of my favorite detoxing teas. It will cleanse your body by getting rid of bad bacteria through cleaning out your kidneys, liver, and intestines as well as having healing properties for your skin, helping ease IBS, and more.

Magical properties of Chaparral:

Overcome challenges, protection, healing, stability, and bring calmness into your home.

Usage: Due to the potential toxicity of the herb, do not drink more than 2 cups of this tea every month and for no longer than 3 months at a time. 8 oz, or smaller, cup recommended. If you have a UTI, you can drink 2 cups of tea in 1 week with 4 days in between consuming. Do not use longer than 1 week at a time for this particular usage.

Note: Use a tea ball, bag, etc. when steeping this tea. You want to take it out after 4 minutes in medium-hot water. Do NOT boil your water for this tea. It will ruin it.

Chaparral Tea Recipe

1/4 teaspoon of Chaparral (1-3 twigs the length of your pinkie nail or 4 tiny leaves)

1 tablespoon Lavender Flowers

1/2 tablespoon Jasmine Flowers

1 teaspoon Chamomile Flowers

1 teaspoon Cinnamon Stick that is broken into tiny pieces, do not use powder

Optional: Pinch of mint leaves to taste

Optional: 1 teaspoons Lemon Grass

Serving Suggestion: Add honey, goat milk or coffee creamer but never regular milk, and (if you didn’t use Lemon Grass) 3 drops of lemon juice.

*This tea is very bitter if you put too much Chaparral into it and it can be harmful to your body if consumed in excess. Use with caution and always ask a doctor before trying new herbs with any medicines you are taking or conditions you may have. Pregnant women should not drink this tea. Chaparral can cause muscle twitches and contractions.
