In many different traditions lighting a candle is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this gratefulness. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention.

Monday – Day of Emotions ( Day of the Moon )

Monday Magick Power Hours:

Moonrise. Key Words: Magick, dreams, health, love, home and family In the word Monday, we can see part of the word Moon. In the romance languages such as Italian or Spanish, this day of the week is called Lunes and clearly relates to the word lunar. On Mondays, a variety of magick may be worked.

Because Monday centers on the energies of the Moon, things like psychism, dreams, feminine energy, health, success in spiritual pursuits, domestic matters, and things of family origin are especially important this day.

Mondays are best for love magick and anything concerning home or family, thus old saying, Mondays child is fair of face, which seems clearly to relate to the themes of love and health.

Angels of Monday are Gabriel, Arcan, Missabu, and Abuzaha. Arcan is known as the king of the angels of air and the “ruler” of Monday. Abuzaha (Abuzohar) serves Monday, and is very responsive to invocations and ritual magick. Missabu is a ministering angel of Arcan.

Monday is the Best Day For: Conjurations, Predictions, Knowledge, Writing, Eloquence. Planetary Association: Moon Norse Deity Associated With the Day: Frigga Origin of Name: “Monday” is short for “Moon Day” in honor of the day’s alignment with that planetary body.

Seasons of the Witch – Legends and Lore, Ancient Holidays
And Some Not So Ancient!

Today Is …

Ancient Egyptian: Ma’at unites as one with all the Netjeru of the heavens Ancient Rome: The Ides of June and climax of Vestalia. Ma’at is the Goddess of truth, justice and the order of the universe. Her symbol is the feather. She sits in the underworld, judging the souls that pass through.

Celebration of the Muses: Calliope – song, Clio – history, Euterpe – lyric song, Thalia – comedy, Melpomene – tradedy, Terpsichore – dance, Erto – erotic poetry, Polyhymnia – sacred hymns, and Urania – astronomy. Select your favorite(s) and dedicate your day to Her.

On this date in the year 1648, Margaret Jones of Charlestown, Massachusetts, was executed in Boston for practicing Witchcraft and magickal healing. This was the first pre-Salem Witch execution to be officially recorded in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Trinity Sunday – The Sunday after Pentecost is set aside by Catholics for honoring the doctrine of the Trinity, the three deities in one: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Urlin comments wryly that “perhaps the identification of this day with a dogma, rather than an event, or a personage, has tended to discourage the growth of folk-lore around it. At any rate, there is a certain dearth of Trinity Sunday customs recorded by English writers.”

In Russia, this is the day when people got out and collect birch branches and picnic outside. The same is true in Yugoslavia. The floors of the churches are covered with grass and flowers. People weave wreathes during the morning services, then take them home to hang as symbols of blessing beneath icons or above doors.

There is a folk belief in Lorraine, France, that on Trinity Sunday you can see three suns rise. Pansies are the flowers used to decorate for this holy day in Saxony, where they are called Trinity flowers, perhaps because they bloom at this time or because of their tripartite structure. Spicer, Dorothy Gladys, The Book of Festivals, The Woman’s Press 1937
Urlin, E, Festivals, Holy Days and Saints Days

End of Vestalia  – In ancient Rome, this day marked the end of the week of festivities devoted to Vesta (see June 7). Her temple was cleaned, the refuse thrown into the Tiber, the penus (or inner storehouse) was closed up and the Vestals went back to their regular duties. This marked the first day (in over six weeks) considered propitious for marrying.
Blackburn, Bonnie and Leofranc, Holford-Strevens, The Oxford Book of Days, Oxford University Press, 2000

St. Vitus – St Vitus is one of those obscure fourth century martyrs. The story goes that his father, angry because his son had been converted to Christianity by his nurse and her husband, turned him over to the authorities. Angels danced for him while he was in prison, thus he is the patron of dancers, actors, mummers and those inflicted with fit-producing diseases like epilepsy and chorea (also known as “St Vitus’ Dance). He is also the patron saint of Bohemia and he helps those who have difficulty rising early. His emblem is a cock or a dog.

If St Vitus’ day be rainy weather
It will rain for thirty days together

Goddess Of The Day: Ratna Dakinis
Hemis Festival (India)

Themes:  Banishing; Victory; Kindness; Karma
Symbols:  The Color Yellow

About Ratna Dakinis:  In Tibet, these Goddesses rule over all gestures of goodness and compassion, which naturally help improve karma.  Collectively, their name means “inestimable,” showing us the true power and value in acts of kindness that are driven by a pure heart.

To Do Today:  This festival includes a ritual play in which all manner of mythic creatures are poised against the Tibetan lamas, symbolizing the battle between good and evil.  Bells, censers, cymbals, and drums draw in positive magic, banish evil, and win the fight for Ratna Dakinis’ goodness.  In keeping with this idea, string together some yellow-colored brass bells for a Ratna Dakinis house amulet.  Hold these in your hand and empower them by saying,

“Let your goodness ring, let purity sing,
with each wind Ratna Dakinis’ blessing bring!”

Hang these where they will catch the wind regularly, releasing the magic.

Wear something yellow today to keep Ratna Dakinis in mind so that your actions will be gentle and filled with kindness.  Do something nice for someone who’s been feeling blue lately, “just because.”  Give them some yellow flowers, offer a hug, or maybe make an extra bell amulet for them too!  This boosts good karma, makes both of you feel good, and invokes Ratna Dakinis’ blessings through thoughtfulness.

Heartwings Love Notes: 676 Smelling the Roses

Heartwings says, “Seasonal treats are more rare, though some do remain.”

Driving along our country roads I am bewitched and blessed by the scent of the small white wild roses blooming there. Essentially weeds, they are invasive in the extreme as I found out when once upon a time I planted some by the fence of our pool. It was something of a struggle to decide whether the lovely smell that lasted a couple of weeks was really worth the impressive work of trying to contain the thorny vines the rest of the time.

The tiny white petaled roses that grow wild everywhere they are left to grow are considered a nuisance and can be quite invasive. They are not welcome except where other vines grow wild. I am happy when the season of their blossoming arrives. When I am outside I have my nose on the alert for their beautiful scent. There are a few growing near my porch. Every time I am there I am treated to their heady odor.

The fact that their season is so brief makes these tiny wonders all the more special to me. Such brevity is growing rare in my life. Many foods I enjoy that used to be seasonal are now available all year round. Still local corn on the cob tastes finer than any other kind. No matter how good the peaches or plums from elsewhere might taste in the winter, I don’t buy them. I look forward to the local ones from the farm stand.

Growing up I enjoyed different pleasures and treats that came during the year. I looked forward to certain occasions: the circus was one, another were the church fairs that I went to with my grandmother. When something nice is found rarely or seldom it becomes more special. When everything is within reach or readily available specialness diminishes. I don’t mind waiting for the Concord grapes of August. Perhaps like birthdays that come once a year, they taste better for the anticipation.

May you enjoy your special treats when they occur.

Blessings and best regards, Tasha Halpert

Healing Arts and Pagan Studies ~ Charge Magical Objects Spell

Sagittarius is a fire sign, and one of the best things we can do during a fiery Moon is to charge and energize the various magical objects we work with a small fire ritual. By charging each magical tool, we ensure that they are vital and full of life when we work with them. To prepare, gather any magical objects you wish to have vitalized and energized, along with a red candle. For this spell, go outside under the Full Moon with your magical objects and the candle. Light the candle and one by one draw each object over the flame and say these words:

With this flame, consecrate.
With this flame, generate.
With this flame, energize.
With this flame, vitalize.

Each time you draw an object over the flame, recall to your self the purpose of the object and the source its power. Perhaps, too, you may want to say a few words about the meaning of that object out loud. Then, when you have contemplated the nature of each object fully, give thanks and return your sacred objects to the altar from where they came.

Mr. Perkins’ Sports Car, Part 2

As Mr. Perkins sports car pulled in, a waiting Hannah Bigelow raised her eyebrows. “I thought you drove Helen’s old car. You didn’t trade it in for this?”

Before he could answer she went on. “What’s  gotten into you Henry? Statistics affirm that its best for a man of your years to have a stalwart woman by his side.” She peered into his eyes.

Hannah was big woman. A Yoga devotee and health food advocate, she was remarkably fit for her size. Her attractive face was framed by masses of curly hair. Her dark green eyes had seen more of life than most. She sighed and held out a large covered pot. “Where am I supposed to put this?”

“In the boot,“ Mr. Perkins said. But then he realized it wouldn’t fit.

He helped her into the car. She had on some kind of musky perfume.  “You could hold it. May I ask what’s in it?”

Hannah Bigelow looked at him searchingly. “Henry I sincerely hope since Helen’s passing that you haven’t…” She paused and started again. “Many older men on their own, men one might think should know better, revisit their adolescence.”

Henry nodded. “That’s very interesting. Please click your seat belt.” He wrinkled his nose. Whatever she had there smelled burned.

She adjusted herself, pulling at the ancient seat belt. It failed to reach across her middle. She peered at his polished wooden dashboard. “I don’t think I’ve ever sat in one of these toys before. I trust its safe.”

“It ain’t no toy lady,“ Margie said. Her voice spun Mr. Perkins around.

“What was that Henry? I thought I heard something.

He started up. “Just hold onto your pot Hannah.”

Margie snickered. “Yeah you do that lady.”

“What was that?“ Hannah said. “I thought I heard a woman’s voice.”

Mr. Perkins sighed. “Must have been the wind,” He pulled onto the street.

Hannah clutched her pot. “Be careful driving this thing. Best we go directly to the church.”

“Why are we going to church?“ Margie said.

Quickly he said. “Ah yes, the annual spring potluck,” He tried to sound jovial.

Hannah made him nervous. He wasn’t used to downshifting. He rode the clutch a little too long. When he released his foot too quickly the car bucked like an angry mule.  Hannah was jostled and lost her hold on the large pot. It flew upward.

He screeched to a stop. Margie managed to catch the pot as it was descending. To Hannah’s surprise it lowered slowly back to onto her lap.

“Jack would be furious if any of what’s in there landed on the floor pads or the dashboard,“ Margie giggled.

“I don’t think that’s very funny Henry.” Hannah said.

Ahead he could see the steeple and the cars already parked in the church parking lot.

“Whatever made you buy a bucket like this anyway?“

“Hold it, sister.” This time Margie’s voice was loud and clear. “I’d like to give her a punch in the nose.”

“Don’t,“ he said.

“Don’t what?” Hannah said. “What are you talking about? You must be inebriated, your voice changing like that.”

She plunked her hand on his knee. “Something’s definitely wrong. Say what’s on your mind Henry. Don’t be fearful. No secrets! We are after all parishioners.”

“It’s nothing.“  he said.

“Liar,” Margie said. “Tell her she smells like a cemetery plot after a funeral.”

“I can’t.“

“Can’t what, Henry? What are you mumbling about.  I don’t understand what you’re trying to say.”

“It’s nothing. Nothing.“ He pulled at his collar.

“You men, ” she huffed.

He pulled in and parked, got out, opened her door and tried excavating Hannah from the bucket seat. This proved considerably more difficult than he expected.

Margie giggled and ran her hand through Hannah’s hair. Then she started tickling her.

Hannah wriggled. “Henry please we are at church. This is neither the time nor the place to suggest intimacy.  Besides we hardly know one another. Stop taking liberties with me!”

“I’m not,“ he said. “Can’t you see? I’m holding the door, trying to help you out of the car.”

“Then who just touched my hair?“

“Must be the wind,” he tried again.

Maggie giggled and planted a kiss on Hannah’s lips.

Hannah shrank back into the bucket seat. “You have a nerve Henry Perkins. Is this how you take advantage of helpless women?”

“Is this walrus your idea of fun?“ Margie asked. Then for good measure she tickled Hannah’s ribs again.

This time Hannah shrieked. “Stop it right now. May I remind you Henry Perkins, we are at church!

He tried appealing to Margie. “You’re not coming in are you? This is a church.”

Hannah blanched. “Of course I am. Why wouldn’t I?  What’s wrong with you?”

Just then Rosemary Applewood and her husband Reggie pulled into the lot and parked next to Mr. Perkins sports car.

Reggie appraised the red vehicle. “You are a sport after all Henry. No grass growing under your feet.”

“Help me out,“ Hannah demanded.

Rosemary came to Hannah’s rescue. Together, with Hannah talking a mile a minute they walked into the church.

Reggie took Mr. Perkins aside. “Rosie thinks you and Hannah might make a match.”

“Henry Perkins,“ before he could reply the minister greeted him with his usual clap on the shoulder. “And there goes Hannah. How nice to see you both.” He winked at Mr. Perkins. “You sly dog.” He grinned. “And none of us knew a thing.”

“The Goddess Companion”

A time will come when war will end.
Vesta and her companion Fides –
the sacred Goddess of Community
and her friend, faith – shall rule.
The War-God will relinquish his command,
the gates of his dreadful temple clanging shut.
His companion, Fury, shall be bound,
his hands held fast with brazen nails;
he’ll stand screaming on a pile of weapons,
howls coming from his blood-stained mouth.
~Roman Poet Virgil, The Aeneid

Today, in ancient Rome, a ritual of renewal was celebrated. The Vestalia, which had started a few days previously, was declared at an end. All garbage had to be thrown away; houses were cleaned thoroughly; refuse was removed from the city. At the festival’s end, all was new and fresh.

We all need moments of renewal in our lives, but they entail giving up things we have been clinging to. Whether it’s a bunch of tattered old photographs or a habit long since outgrown, we must occasionally clean house in order to move forward into our new life. We no longer have spring-cleaning rituals inwhich we cleanse our physical home of the detritus living; thus we have no rituals to remind us to perform this needed function for our souls. Clinging to what is past is not simply a waste of energy, it is a cause of both inner and interpersonal conflict as well. As the season of Vesta ends, let us bring harmony to our lives through the sacrifice of what we no longer truly need.

Weekly Horoscope, Beginning: Sunday, 14 June 2015

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

If you`re born within cusp period (16 to 26 of any month); you`re advised to read horoscopes of both signs covered by that period. You`re in the border; you may have influences from both houses of those signs.

Outlines are longer versions; consists of every possible details of everyday and based on three parts of each sign: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Decan; that is, any of three divisions of 10° within a sign of the zodiac.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Aries: March 21 – April 19

Epigram: Usually you know exactly what you want; but the current link between the Sun and your ruler Mars highlights ideas and options that previously you`d never considered. Tempting as it is to say a swift yes, explore further. The results are so exciting you`ll delve into possibilities as thrilling as they are promising in detail. However, because there`s more to come next week, final decisions should wait until then.

Outline: You come to a clearing at the beginning of the week, and you can see for miles. With heightened clarity about where you`re going comes heightened articulateness: The right words roll off your tongue without much effort. Wednesday and Thursday are no time for hesitating. If you pursue your goals with energy, you`ll be able to bring your wildest dreams to fruition. Eventually. This is still the early stage. On Friday and through the weekend, your confidence may give you the reputation of being full of yourself. Overcome this with pure enthusiasm for your friends` projects.

A financial obligation that you thought was resolved will demand your attention again. Remain calm. You may be able to arrive at a new arrangement after talking the matter over with someone who will be able to find a compromise way forward. This is not a good time to dig your heels in over minor issues. Look for the bigger picture and the longer term future and then make your choices and decisions. Be wary of anyone offering easy answers to difficult problems.

Saturn slips back into Scorpio and problems you thought had gone away at the end of last year could return. However, note that your ruling planet, Mars, and the Sun begin a new cycle as of Sunday – to some extent mitigating those difficulties. In fact, you could argue your case vociferously and well. True, by the solstice (20th) you could come to the conclusion that there are certain tasks that simply must be cut out of your life and yes, it might appear to others that you are taking a hard line. Yet determination to work within budget (time or financial or both) is set to increase. There`s also the strong possibility of making it clear to someone who thinks life can be all `play` that that`s not the case and that for now at least, they need to focus. In short, there`s much to suggest you`ll play a rather serious role this week – which in turn could bring new responsibilities but, potentially great reward.

Career & Finance: Keep your tone appropriate and keep moving as this week gets going. If you`ve got serious business, say it once slowly and firmly, solidify next steps. Then you can accomplish a lot on Wednesday and Thursday, especially if you concentrate on what`s already on your plate. Finish up, tie up loose ends and then you`re ready for the action and opportunity the stars send starting Friday. You`ve got a real fire under you and you`re able to ignite the passion of others now, too; and Sunday`s great for cementing some specifics.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Taurus: April 20 – May 20

Epigram: Unsettling as recent sudden changes were, hopefully you recognised they`d benefit you now and in the future. The only problem is you`re lacking facts, so are hesitant about finalising plans or arrangements. Proceed, but with the knowledge you`ll need to rethink things. Worrying as this seems now, you`ll be ideally positioned to explore the range of amazing developments that appear over the coming weeks.

Outline: You are human, so you can`t do everything or be all things to all people; but what might be difficult for you may well be a snap for one of your friends. Or maybe they know someone who knows someone. Let the natural talents of the people around you guide your next move. A dinner party on Wednesday or Thursday could double as a strategy meeting. Have it at your house, which has good energy these days. This weekend, a power struggle might arise between you and one of your closest allies. Give them the benefit of the doubt – their intentions are pure.

Don`t assume all is well with your nearest and dearest. Although you have worked hard to keep everyone happy, there are still some problems that must be resolved. Fortunately, you are patient and compassionate and it is these two qualities that will help you put things right now. Instead of staying focused on money, turn your attention to your best friend or romantic partner. Find ways to connect regularly. Setting aside time each week for each other can be very helpful.

Saturn slips back into your opposite sign this week. That might indicate a partner or close associate demanding that attention be given to plans begun last year but as yet unfinished. Of course, it could be that it`s costs or technical issues (or a combination) that have held you back. It`s probable that you`re now more than ready for the challenge. This would actually be a good week for any kind of test or exam. With the bit firmly between your teeth you could rise to the challenge. In fact, as of Monday, you could `get it` in a way that`s been elusive. The only issue then is that more than one person might want you to explain things to them – if only there were time. The solstice (20th) seems set to mark a deadline of some kind. What may be clear to you is that you simply have to have a task completed by then so that you take advantage of deals and opportunities before month end.

Career & Finance: Get back to work! It`s not like you to waste time, but it`s much more likely than usual at the beginning of the week. Block out chunks where you don`t check your e-mail or jump on the Internet every five minutes. Then (luckily) the stars change gears and you`re grounded and good to go on Wednesday and Thursday. Know your positions of strength and leverage what you`ve got. On Friday and over the weekend, you`ve got an extra spark and some unique ideas, but it`s still important to get input and cultivate connections. Reach out.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Gemini: May 21 – June 20

Epigram: Although the errors triggered by your ruler Mercury`s retrograde cycle were often surprisingly informative, you`ll be relieved to know it ended last Thursday. Blend that knowledge with the powerful insights that accompany this Tuesday`s Gemini New Moon and you`ll both devise solutions for dilemmas and respond wisely to intriguing developments. Explore everything but keep plans flexible, since what`s good now will soon get even better.

Outline: Inspiration strikes you on Monday – maybe in the form of a romantic muse. Flirtation figures strongly Tuesday as well. Your way of relating to people you`ve just met is flirtatious, and you`re meeting a lot of people these days, therefore the distinction between friends and love interests is a bit blurry. Nevertheless, Wednesday and Thursday return you to purely practical, non-social matters. Friday you enter the social realm again, and sometime this weekend realize that you`re the life of the party, even though, somewhere in the back of your mind, you`re thinking seriously about your career.

A persistent health problem will flare up again. This is your body`s way of telling you to slow down. There are many exciting opportunities on the horizon. You should be happy about them. It is important to be selective about the obligations you make. Instead of accepting every offer, choose one or two that will add to your peace of mind and contentment. Make sure to get plenty of rest each day. Eat well and take regular exercise. Your aches and pains will soon be less of a worry.

The Sun and Mars align in your sign on Sunday and won`t do so again until 2030. You can think of this week as marking the start of an energising cycle. True, it will surely take some time for you to tune into this vibration and yes, in the process you may need to accept that some people will not be coming along for the ride. It`s quite possible too that a health niggle (left over from 2015) will demand review. Yet this isn`t an action-replay of last year: the cosmic picture is quite different. Though you might not be entirely confident about what (or with who) you have to work with, by the solstice (20th) you should feel you know where you stand. It`s even possible that by cutting away dead wood you`ll be in a far better position to seize a remarkable opportunity that should come your way before the end of the month.

Career & Finance: Variety`s the spice of your work life, so plan to mix up the routine as the week begins. Your mind`s a very active space and the more you introduce, the more it`s got to work with. Schedule important meetings now, too; around Wednesday and Thursday, your energy`s better suited to buckling down and working away on independent projects, ideally without interruptions. Then on Friday and over the weekend, you`re an intellectual powerhouse. What are you most curious about, at work and in your personal life? Look into it.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Cancer: June 21 – July 22

Epigram: Only weeks ago, you`d have battled unexpected changes in your daily routine, work or certain ongoing arrangements, yet now you`re excitedly exploring them. Since these aren`t the last of changes, make whatever plans you can. Meanwhile, focus on new developments, ideas and offers, however exotic. Show interest in what`s promising but finalise nothing, since what`s coming over the next few weeks will be even more exciting.

Outline: The best solution on Monday might be the one that seems the most far-fetched. You have a knack for innovation these days. Trust your instincts, even if your ideas raise eyebrows. Raise the roof! Be weird! Wednesday and Thursday are explosive days – the energy in the air is almost visible – and they present plenty of opportunities, both social and professional. Your love life is on a low register this weekend because your mind is buzzing with creativity and ambition. Inspiration is fickle, so capitalize on it while it`s there.

A long abandoned project should be brought back to life. It will be a welcome distraction to turn your attention to anything outside of your world of work. Invest a little time and a little cash in this plan and you won`t regret it. If you want to make more money, think about working for a big organisation like a hospital, university or government agency. Such an employer will provide you with a steady pay cheque and lots of vacation time. It`s an ideal way to finance your lifestyle.

A fifteen-year cycle begins this week just as Saturn returns to another of the Water signs, Scorpio. It may be appropriate to rethink leisure time. New responsibilities could soon curtail options. However, by doing a little forward-planning, you could take a hobby to a new level. True, you may feel you need to achieve this between this weeks` solstice (20th) and the next Equinox (September 20th). Yet you may be in just the right frame of mind to do this. You could take a step back and leave certain tasks to others. You might also, by Friday, decide that you simply can`t (at least for now) be involved in a project that would take more energy than you feel able to give presently. This 15 year cycle is important in that it`s linked to your imagination which could soon be moving into fresh realms. Anticipate a creative surge before the end of the month and don`t be surprised if the overture to this requires that you take time out this week to take stock and contemplate.

Career & Finance: In order to get things done at the beginning of the week, you may have to be the squeaky wheel. Do it right – present the issue(s) succinctly and ask for the resources you need (plus a little, so you can be `talked down`). Voila – and on Wednesday and Thursday, suddenly the spotlight`s on you. Be ready with a success story or two, whether the question`s a casual `how are you?` or a more formal request for an update. On Friday or over the weekend, you`ve got the opportunity to make a splashy move. Just consider the future implications before you do.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Leo: July 23 – August 22

Epigram: Urgent as things are in several apparently straightforward matters, you`re short of facts. Since it`s unlikely you`ll know what`s what until early July, explore absolutely everything that arises. Unwise as this seems, what you regard as most worrying will soon be revealed as golden opportunities. In the meantime, de-clutter your life and thinking, so when those stunning events arise, you`ll be free of distractions.

Outline: Your friends are a good influence on you on Monday and Tuesday. They act as a springboard for your ideas, and they have some solid ideas of their own. Plus, they don`t mind when you launch into one of your crazy lectures about frogs or baking or the nature of love. You`re unique, that`s for sure. Wednesday and Thursday find you grounded, modest and deeply content; and then, the icing on the cake: Friday. A day of achievement. Your pinnacle. A great conclusion to the week and a fine way to start the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday you`re so proud of yourself, you could burst.

Spending more time at home can help a relative adjust to a difficult situation. You`re a warm, generous individual who is very protective of your family. When one of your relatives needs help, you`re quick to respond. A romance may have to be put on hold while you attend to this issue. Turn a deaf ear to those who think you should have different priorities. You have good instincts and firm ideas about where you should spend your energy. Obey these impulses.

This week opens with a conjunction between the Sun and Mars that`s followed by a series of very special `septile` aspects. It shouldn`t take too much for you to tune into your higher intuition. This is likely to manifest as a surge of creativity that`s quite probably inspired by the need to compete with another team. To make best use of this surge of energy, you`ll surely need to `let go` and allow yourself to be inspired. You might also need to find special space (sanctuary) where you can be alone to develop ideas. Unusually, this could lead you to seek out dark places (or even a bath by candlelight). It`s quite possible too that the colour black – or someone born under either Scorpio or Capricorn, will have marked effect. Note that in the lead into the solstice (20th), you might also decide that there are certain tasks and items that you need to prune from your life given the unreasonable amount of care they need.

Career & Finance: Why commit to a course of action when the idea-generating phase is going so well? Tell anyone who`s pressing you for a decision to hold on at the beginning of the week and give them an idea of why they`ll be glad they did. Wednesday and Thursday add extra intuition to your already amped-up intellect – you`re particularly sensitive to existing circumstances, so much so that you can anticipate what`s coming next; and this isn`t even your best stuff this week – that starts with a bang on Friday! You`re at the height of your powers, so use them for good.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Virgo: August 23 – September 22

Epigram: It would be easy to assume the chaos you`ve been experiencing will end because your ruler Mercury is no longer retrograde. While there`ll be fewer errors, you and the world around you are in a period of rewarding and ultimately worthwhile, if disruptive, change. Knowing that, instead of struggling to impose order in events, focus on exploration. Eventually things will fall into place, but not this week.

Outline: Try to develop deep connections on Monday and Tuesday. The week has the potential to be either great or a drag, and what happens early on will determine how things pan out. Relationships are important, as are details. You are a brilliant communicator when you put your mind to it. So, put your mind to it! Wednesday and Thursday you get your energy from other people – so surround yourself with people who give off good vibes – and Friday is so full-speed-ahead you have to fasten your hat to your head, but you won`t mind. You`re in the mood for excitement, and the weekend delivers it.

It`ll take more time than usual to acquire new skills. In the past, you`ve been a quick learner. That won`t be the case with a new set of professional responsibilities. The learning curve here is steep, so be patient. When you become frustrated, turn your attention to soothing activities that make you feel centred. In time, you`ll clear this hurdle. Until then, be philosophical about setbacks and keep reminding yourself you are still a beginner.

The Sun and Mars align at the top of your solar chart- an event that won`t recur for another 15 years. This, together with Saturn`s move back into Scorpio, suggests a decided change of career pace. Something that was first discussed last year may be back on the table for review. The difference this time is that you`re likely to be far more in tune with both the project and the marketing that would be required. Note that before the solstice (20th), a series of septile aspects occur. These sevenths of a circle often coincide with surges of creativity and even genius. Though these `messages from the Gods` might not come directly to you – but perhaps through a colleague, it may be part of your life mission to put ideas into action. Given your extraordinary ability to focus on getting the essentials `right`, you could make good progress before next weekend.

Career & Finance: Cold logic plus interpersonal warmth is a winning equation at the beginning of the week – think you can manage it? Do the meeting and greeting thing and get down to brass tacks, too. It`s not mutually exclusive, it`s just good business. Then take advantage of an offsite or work-related social opportunity on Wednesday and Thursday – or, better yet, put one together. You`re good at cruise directing now! And as much as you might like to work independently on Friday or over the weekend, you`re going to need to rely on others and shift your plans to accommodate them.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Libra: September 23 – October 22

Epigram: Living with uncertainties can be difficult; but hopefully by now you`ve realised the shifts in others` circumstances and your own arrangements are about progress. It`s just the pace of events is uneven, which has left you lacking information. Be patient until the 22nd, when Jupiter`s rare and stunning link to Uranus introduces events as thrilling as they are pivotal. After that, things will be much clearer.

Outline: You`re not in the mood for anything superficial on Monday. What you need is an intellectual conversation. Find someone you like talking to – someone smarter than you – and let yourselves go. Wednesday and Thursday, you`re more interested in getting things done than in dwelling on emotions, but that`s not to say you should ignore the peripheral beauty that surrounds you – it can be inspiring. Friday and Saturday you long to be around creative people, and Sunday brings you more big-picture clarity than you`ve had in a while. The details will strike you as insignificant.

Finding another source of income would be a good idea. Putting all your eggs in one basket is dangerous in this economy. Fortunately, you are multi-talented. Earning extra money through teaching or passing on you`re a skill is a strong possibility. Start slow and build a following. People respond well to your energy and enthusiasm. It also helps you embrace new ways of thinking and learning. Instead of adhering stubbornly to outmoded traditions, you`re willing to experiment.

Saturn (aka the cosmic headmaster) returns, temporarily, to Scorpio – your neighbouring sign and issues that you contended with at the end of 2014 may well return for review. There may be financial matters you need to address before the solstice (20th). This though is not the dominant theme for the week which comes from the Sun-Mars conjunction in another of the Air signs (Gemini) on Sunday. This marks the start of a 15 year cycle that`s most likely to play out in the field of learning and travel. It may be that over the coming months you`re drawn toward a particular geographical area or a language or subject. What`s offered this week may be just the teaser. It`s quite possible that a colleague who feels you`d be better off at home – working with or near them – will make a suggestion that you move – even if only short-term – to think through these possibilities in peace and quiet.

Career & Finance: Put your head together with another intellectual powerhouse at the beginning of the week. It could be your boss, that really on-it co-worker or someone doing great stuff you don`t have much contact with. Keep the agenda open, mix well and see what happens. On Wednesday and Thursday, your best bet is to nod, smile and act like you`re down with the status quo, just for the moment. That doesn`t mean you`re not thinking about change – which you should be; and starting Friday, you can start acting on those (brilliant, ready for airtime) thoughts. Rock it.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Scorpio: October 23 – November 21

Epigram: During the period from October 2012 until December of last year, stern Saturn was in Scorpio. While challenging at the time, since then you`ve realised how much you learnt and, equally, the pointless burdens you shed. Consequently you`ll recognise its return, on Tuesday, for three months, as a timely opportunity to sort out circumstances that are confusing and going nowhere from those that could ultimately prove profitable.

Outline: A detail that seems minor on Monday could snowball into something huge. It could mean the difference between success and failure. If someone else`s money is involved in this venture, take particular care. Managing your own losses is far easier than being responsible for someone else`s. Then again, Wednesday and Thursday you`re likely going to get whatever it is you want. Relinquish control of dinner plans and you`ll be pleasantly surprised by what ends up on your plate. The challenges you face this weekend are somewhat driven by your own ego. Watch that.

You`ll be asked to return to a troubled situation, workplace or organisation. Although you thought your role here was finished, there is still work to be done. It will give you great satisfaction to make changes and introduce ideas you proposed long ago. People are finally willing to admit the error of their ways. You`ll be given free rein. Fortunately, this position will involve significant benefits. This is a wonderful opportunity to begin a savings or retirement plan.

Saturn returns to your sign. True, this might not seem like `good` news and yes, as for many people, you may need to go back over decisions made toward the end of last year. There is likely a major difference however as the Sun and Mars (one of your ruling planets) align on Sunday. You could view this as a major kick-start that`s most probably the result of collaboration. In partnership you could yet go far. True, a key aspect between Saturn and Pluto that coincides almost exactly with the solstice suggests a pruning exercise will need to be undertaken and yes, at some level you could feel confined and restrained. Yet you might also know that in coping with difficulties now, you`ll be released from certain pressures and that before the end of the month there will be tangible reward.

Career & Finance: The stakes are higher than they appear at the beginning of the week. If you`re relying on an impression of the big picture, you`d better get less fuzzy about it and quick. Then Wednesday and Thursday, some serious face-time with your mentor, coach and/or boss is in order. Start with a particular issue, then enlarge the conversation to your career path and field as a whole. Come away with concrete next steps, but be careful if you`re taking them on Friday or Saturday; unforeseen issues lurk now. Sunday and next Monday are much more conducive.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Sagittarius: November 22 – December 21

Epigram: When there`s so much going on events defy analysis, you`ll rely on your instincts first, and seek out hard facts later. That`s the best approach now and over the coming weeks, while the amazing but inevitably disruptive developments triggered by your ruler Jupiter`s alliance with Uranus, on the 22nd, take place. Some may not be unexpected but others will be as surprising as they are thrilling.

Outline: You have worked hard enough lately. Put the engine in neutral and let yourself coast at the beginning of the week. Ambition is healthy but it`s also exhausting, and there are a lot of people who`d love a slice of your attention. Wednesday and Thursday you feel an almost spiritual connection to your friends. Your energies are slightly mismatched, but the contrasts (plus intense mutual love) yield fascinating philosophical interactions. If travel figures into your weekend, it will go swimmingly. Part of the joy of letting someone else lead is that you get more time to enjoy the journey.

You`ll be withdrawing from the hurly-burly to deal with some personal matters. Don`t feel pressured to go public with this situation until you`re ready. Whether you are taking care of an ailing relative, looking after a child or getting treatment for a problem is your business. As a result of this shift, a close relationship will also undergo changes. Allow your best friend, romantic partner or business associate to assume a higher profile. Show your trust, they need to see it.

Ahead of the solstice (20th), Saturn leaves your sign (returning there in September). This could be a sign of `the brakes coming off`. For some that probably means they won`t feel quite their `age` and others that pressures are reduced. However, this event coincides with the Sun and Mars aligning in your opposite sign. It may be then that though you don`t fee; to be `at the centre`, that what`s going on close by means you`re caught up in events which, though they`re essentially `someone else`s problem`, require you to play a part. It may be that someone close is offered promotion or that their career demands fresh responsibilities and brings disturbance to your plans. It might be wise to spend some time `blue sky` thinking midweek. Though it might appear that you have to work within parameters, it`s probable that there is some flexibility and that you could yet attract excellent conditions for their development of `perfect` plans before the end of the month.

Career & Finance: Take a good look at how full your plate is at the beginning of the week – note upcoming deadlines, work that`s likely to expand and unknown quantities, too. You`ve got a tendency to take on too much right now and Wednesday and Thursday are liable to present unexpected time-sucks. Keep close tabs on work relationships now; a little issue with a certain party can snowball. Help`s on the way, though, on Friday and Saturday, including a very special opportunity, if you`re willing to explore; but if you`re working Sunday, it`s important to get specific.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Capricorn: December 22 – January 19

Epigram: After a period of analysis, unsettling and, often, sudden change, your mood`s reflective; but with your ruler Saturn making a rare move to accent close alliances, personal and professional, and the influence of those individuals, the coming months are about working with others on past arrangements, and both existing and future plans. Take your time. This is more about what you learn than making lasting decisions.

Outline: Putting your feelings in writing is a great way to discover what your feelings are. You think with words these days, and the more articulate you are, the better. Plus, being clear is an effective antidote to the flightiness that seems to surround you, at least until the middle of the week. On Wednesday and Thursday, someone is being downright clingy: Focusing on them might exhaust you, but it will solve their anxiety. Friday is not an easy day – things may appear as they are not, which isn`t helpful – and this weekend your friends are more demanding than ever. They love you, that`s all.

Your social circle could find itself thrown into turmoil. Someone will be cast from your midst. As upsetting as this situation is, you`ll not mix with deceitful people. If you`ve discovered a loved one has been lying to get ahead, you must break ranks. You don`t want your reputation to be compromised by association. A new job is on the horizon. You`ll be excited about making a fresh start. It will take time to make friends, so be patient and practical.

Your ruling planet, Saturn, returns to Scorpio from now through September. Just ahead of the solstice (June 20th), it comes to a key point in its relationship with Pluto (still moving through your sign). The probability is then that a situation that first reared toward the end of last year will return for development. With both time and money probably wasted in the interim, you may need to find ingenious ways to complete a project. The good news is that a series of seventh of a circle aspects takes place this week. It probably won`t be hard for you to tune into a creative way of thinking and to attract those hearing similar themes. Though it may be necessary to practice tough love with someone who really has been fooling around, before the solstice you could yet define a workable schedule – and have in place the team to execute this before the end of the month.

Career & Finance: You`re usually uber-focused, but at the beginning of the week, it just ain`t so. Beware of getting distracted by minor matters that won`t ultimately further your goals. Then on Wednesday and Thursday, you may have the unsettling experience of getting rather emotional at (and maybe because of) work. It`s never inappropriate to step out and collect yourself (and it`s much better than losing it). Then the more information you can gather, the better, on Friday and over the weekend. Dig and you`ll unearth potential problems as well as possible pay dirt.

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Aquarius: January 20 – February 18

Epigram: Exciting as the dramatic events swirling through your life may be, they`re still disruptive. What`s more, because you`re lacking vital facts, planning ahead is nearly impossible. This is the result of the rare and potent link between fortunate Jupiter and your ruler Uranus, which dominates the last half of June. The trick is to organise plans, but ensure you can rethink them as changes arise.

Outline: A love affair lifts you off your feet on Monday and transplants you to the moon. It`s been a long time since you`ve been to the moon, and the change of scenery is more than welcome. Tuesday is a great day, too – spent building and then tromping through sandcastles of moon dust – but on Wednesday and Thursday your responsibilities take priority. Try to get exercise while getting things done (if you have to run an errand, walk instead of drive). On Friday, you`ll be able to devote yourself to this burgeoning romance. This weekend, experiment: Try a new hangout or wear a crazy shirt.

You`ll be thrust back into the spotlight after a period of seclusion. Tying up loose ends at your job or filling in for an ailing executive will be time consuming. Although you`ll miss your freedom, it will feel good to be in the power seat again. Take this opportunity to resolve any differences that took place with a colleague. By making your position clear, you`ll be able to resume a productive relationship with them. You could even become friends.

The Sun and Mars align in another of the Air signs this Sunday – just ahead of Saturn`s return to the apex of your solar chart. It`s probable that matters that first surfaced toward the end of last year will return for review but that this time the affairs of those younger – or your own `hobby` interests` will play a more important role. It may be that there are certain plans that have to be implemented before the end of September. Midst all this, your curiosity could be aroused by those with clear artistic skills but little idea as to their commercial value. It may be that they need you to act as agent and yes, at some point in the future this could yet become a useful revenue stream. For now, focus is likely to be on essentials and making space – either for these interests or for a team using `your` space to develop a project.

Career & Finance: You`re highly motivated, extra intelligent and particularly charming at the beginning of the week – an excellent combination for making strides career-wise. (Note: Romance is favoured now, too, you hottie, you!) Then you may remain all these things on Wednesday and Thursday, but the stars are bringing you back down to earth with a bump, demanding that you take care of basics and get organized. Lay good groundwork, however and you can take off from there again starting Friday – and a firecracker of an idea awaits!

———— ———– ———- ——— ——– ——- —— —– —- — – –

Pisces: February 19 – March 20

Epigram: If you trust instincts that tell you the disarray that`s unsettled the lives of others and your own circumstances will ultimately prove beneficial, you`ll rather enjoy this otherwise exciting week. In fact, you`ll recognise sudden changes as part of the profitable plans currently unfolding. As to those who`re worrying, instead of being reassuring, distract them with joint efforts to get rid of burdensome arrangements from the past.

Outline: It`s understandable if you`re feeling overwhelmed at the outset of the week. If you don`t feel like doing much, don`t do much. Put on some music and busy yourself with tasks around the house. Doing dishes can be therapeutic. Vacuuming can be fun. On Wednesday and Thursday your fun comes in the form of something a lot more exciting than dishes and vacuuming – put simply, love is in the air – but Friday and this weekend You`ll most likely feel like flying solo. You can`t account for your mood. You just have a lot on your mind.

Return to a spiritual practice that gives you peace. Recently, you`ve experienced a lot of pressure in your world of work and professional matter. Now things are calming down. Spending time on a calming ritual will put problems in their proper perspective. There is more to you than your public persona. You have a rich inner life that has sustained you since childhood. Connecting with this side of yourself can be as simple as reciting a prayer or making a gratitude list each day.

Saturn returns to another of the Water signs, the Sun and Mars align at the base of your solar chart and then there`s the solstice on 20th: together suggesting that this week will bring a change of pace. Property and related family matters may well be raised. It`s quite possible too that a pruning exercise- though initially dispiriting, could leave opening for you to explore after the solstice. Yours is a sign associated with `magical thinking`. It seems Pisces really does understand the Laws of Attraction. With a series of seventh-of-a-circle aspects also in operation this week (and yes, the number 7 is associated with inspiration), it could be that you tune into something very special so that even if doors appear to close toward the end of the week, you`re aware that this is an essential step before openings appear.

Career & Finance: Yes, you have your skill-set and it`s pretty awesome, but recognizing your deficits and either filling them in or finding realistic, efficient workarounds is essential as the week gets going. Learn it, delegate, make a trade – you can find a creative way to not just flounder. On Wednesday and Thursday, you`re sitting pretty if the stars have their say and you can rock a meeting, pitch or presentation. Watch also for a chance networking coup! Friday and the weekend look so busy, you might be tempted to neglect your physical health. Don`t.

About The Morning Feast and Goddessschool.com – The teachings here are based on ordinary magick, the principle that the mundane and the Divine are not separate, but peacefully coexist in all things. Know Mother Earth as the ultimate healer, and learn to utilize her gifts of nature. Inside each woman is a being of wisdom, deeply connected to the phases of the moon and the tides of the sea. All we need to do is trust our innate wisdom.
